@tmaynt Day 11: Favorite Splinter

I Think 2003 Splinter is my favorite because he was just a Rat! He wasn't a man turned into a rat, he was just a little rat, who was shown kindness, and when he saw 4 baby turtles washed into the sewers, he went "I'm going to take care of them". And he wasn't even mutated with higher intelligence either! He just saw these little lives and decided to take care of them like he had been taken care of before.

Also he's just always there for his sons. He's not afraid to go out there and face whatever danger his sons are facing. And when the turtles got kidnapped by the Ninja Tribunal, he went all the way to Japan to make sure they were safe. HE JUST CARES ABOUT HIS SONS SO MUCH AND HE WAS A RAT!!

Klunk! He’s just a little guy

I love cats, they’re so cute :) Wish we saw more of him in the show, but just the fact that they have a cat is great. Poor turtles need an emotional support animal for all that they go through.

Even though Splinter is a rat, I think he treats Klunk like a fifth son. After all, he too was a misunderstood animal who only needed kindness once, and the love that his Masters had for him inspires his own kindness even now.

The episode as a whole was adorable! Even though they live in the sewers and fear humans, the turtles still have a little community of their own.

Here's a test animation made by our incredible artist @sporkarts! This animation has Leo (without her hood on!) and Splinter.

What is TMNT: Inverse? So glad you asked! Inverse is an indie animation project that is working to bring our original TMNT iteration to life with an animated series!

The premise? What if the turtles and Splinter were raised in the Foot Clan.

Poor 2012! Casey, with his fear of rats, had to deal with the only version of Splinter that was over 6 feet tall.
