Gio shook his head slightly toward her, “Sarò dentro tra un momento”
He looked back at Abraham, an apologetic look in place, “Apologies, Abraham. Elle has reminded me that my other children will be home shortly. It seems we’ll have to pick this up later.”
Abraham followed the other man as he stood and handed him his empty glass.
“Elle,” He gave her a slight nod as she moved out of the doorway to let him through, “It is nice seeing you again.”
Abraham noted as Giovanni passed her, he let his fingers touch her elbow lightly, an unspoken thank you.
Abraham would find out the truth, one way or another.

Kenan Yildiz x Reader - Thick Part 3/8
+ 18
Part 1 Part 2
Tumblr media
Kenan and Reader share the same high school friend group. As graduation is near, Reader sets out to pass her drivers license test but ultimately struggles to. Thankfully Readers friends agree to help her with driving lessons and take turns doing so. It is during one of Rader's lessons that it becomes clear that Kenan likes her. A chock to Reader, who has a crush on someone else in their friend group.
Enjoy!
"He called you what?"
"Fat. Or Not skinny, to be exact."
"Stronza." (Asshole).
You enjoyed driving with Rebecca. She wasn't as instructive or patient as Maria, and it was nearly impossible to communicate over the loud music playing in her car. But after your experience driving with Kenan, you could withstand a couple of false notes sung by her.
"Do you want us to talk to him, maybe ask Gio to give him a slap upside the head?" She was also very sympathetic to the incident involving Kenan, naturally taking your side.
"Tempting." You chuckled. "But no, I'd rather let it go and ignore him for the rest of my life."
"That will be a hard thing to do."
"Trust me, I've managed to block out a couple of fat-shamers in my life, Kenan will be no different."
"Yes, but what about our road trip to Bari? I imagine it'll be difficult ignoring someone for ten hours straight while confined into a cramped car."
"Right."
Just the thought of the road trip with your friends triggered an unpleasant feeling in your gut. It had more to do with the fact that you still didn't have a driver's license, and judging by the way things were going, you wouldn't possess one any time soon.
"How about we try the roundabout again? It should be more crowded at this hour."
"Yay."
Rebecca took you back to the roundabout that you and Kenan had tackled the week before. But unlike Kenan, she wasn't one to talk you through things, assuming that the actions needed were as obvious to you as they were to her. It resulted in you having some trouble finding the right gear for the approach into the right file, and unlike Kenan, Rebecca's hands weren't on the wheel, ready to spot you in case you'd need the assistance.
"Check your mirrors Y/N!" She shouted in panic.
The car swirled in the lane on your attempt to get it out of the roundabout. It swirled before coming to an abrupt stop.
"My car!" Rebecca cried.
Smoke rose from the hood of it. You had bumped it straight into the sidewalk. The car had to be towed and taken to the nearest mechanic shop right away.
"I promise to pay for all the damages." You assured.
"Of course you will. And I want compensation for the trauma that was inflicted on me. You're not a bad driver Y/N, you're a basket case."
"Ladies, ladies, please." Gio entered the small garage. He was wearing stained overalls, a plaquet with the name Joey on it. Joey, or Josef, was Gio's dad, owner of the shop. "There's nothing that yours truly can't fix. So please, no catfighting in my garage, as tempting as that would be to watch."
Rebecca rolled her eyes. "Just fix my car Gio, or else we won't have a ride to Bari this summer."
"Judging by the way Y/N is driving we might not even make it to Bari with her behind the wheel."
"Hey?" You hissed.
"Kidding, just kidding."
Gio approached the vehicle, taking a good look at it. It was clear that he was better with his hands than his brain. And he didn't seem to mind following in his father's footsteps, taking over the shop and running it one day. "Yeah, this is gonna take some time fix it and it's gonna cost you." He nodded. "It's gonna cost you plenty."
"Well, what are you waiting for, get started on it."
"Sorry Beck's, but I'm closing the shop at six."
"Six, why so early?"
"Didn't you hear, Luca and his band have a gig in town. All of us are invited, no?"
"Right, I totally forgot about that. Are you going Y/N, I'd rather just go home."
"Erm....I think I'm gonna go." You blushed.
"Alright, then you can ride with me." Gio said. "I'm picking up Kenan once my shift is done. The guy is probably still asleep as we speak."
"Kenan's coming?" You asked.
"Yeah, why?" Gio turned to Rebecca who made a grimace similar to yours.
"You know what, perhaps I should go." She said, "The more the merrier, no?"
"Right?"
"I'll call Maria and tell her to meet us there."
********************************************
You have seen many bands play live before. It always fascinated you how brave and care free the artists seemed on stage, going off on their instruments. Luca was no different, letting down his hair while rocking out on stage. It wasn't often that he let the world see what hid beneath the strings of his man-bun, — oh but when he did.
"Thank you everybody, I hope you've had a goodnight!"
"Go Luca!"
The crowd, including yourself, shouted his name at the top of your lungs. You weren't the only girl who had eyes for the band's lead guitarist, however, you were one of the few people who knew him personally.
"Great set man. You were awesome." Gio said, as your friends gathered backstage at the end of the night. The five of you had danced the night away like maniacs, influenced by an unhealthy amount of cheap alcohol.
"Thanks alot for coming guys, it means a lot."
"The night isn't over man, we're having drinks back at my place, aren't you coming." Said Gio.
"Sorry guys, gotta help the band pack up. But I'll see you guys at school on Monday. Y/N?" He said, stunning you with a smile.
"Y...yes?"
"I'll pick you up in the morning. You can drive my dad's Cadillac to school."
"It's a date." You grinned. It was really nice of Luca to want to stay and help his band. "He's so kind." You blurred out, during an intoxicated rant at Gio's house. Only you, Kenan, Gio and Maria made it back. Rebecca had her dad pick her up at the bar.
"So if you had to spend the night with someone in our friend group, it would be Luca." Gio nodded.
"Yes, but don't tell him I said that." You blushed. It was a messy game of truth or dare. The four of you were too drunk to perform any proper dares, which resulted in the majority of you choosing truth.
"Kenan, truth or dare?" You asked. It was your turn and you only asked him since it became obvious that you were ignoring him.
"Dare." He said.
"Okay, I dare you to make out with Maria for one minute."
Kenan grinned, but did not hesitate to scoot closer to Maria who sat next to him on the sofa. The two of them shared seductive glances before leaning in and engaging in the sloppiest make out session you've ever seen.
"My turn." Kenan wiped his mouth with a swipe of his tongue. "Gio, truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Which girl in our friend group would you rather spend a night with?"
"Maria. My turn. Kenan, same question, which girl in our friend group would you rather spend a night with?"
"You guys are so annoying." Maria sighed, although you couldn't help but to notice the soft shade of pink that had blossomed on her cheeks. It might have been the aftermath of her make out session with Kenan, however, you noticed how she and Gio would throw glances at each other when they thought that no one was looking.
"Y/N."
"Huh?" You turned your head, noticing how all eyes were on you now, how Gio and Maria were holding back their giggles. "What's so funny?" They refused to answer you, drunk fucks. However, that's when you felt a hand on your thigh, with Kenan leaning in to whisper in your ear. "They're made for each other, don't you think? Almost like true love."
"What do you know about true love?" You shrugged his hand away.
Kenan's expression faltered. "You're still angry with me."
"Hah!" You laughed, but did not intend to sound as cruel as you did. "Try humiliated."
"Y/N, what happened during our…"
"Save it Kenan, I'm over it."
"You don't seem over it."
You turned to him, surprised by the way his eyes glowed beneath the dimmed lights of Gio's living room. "If there's anything I can do or say to make you forgive me...."
"You can't and there isn't."
His shoulders withered. "I never meant to hurt your feelings. I just....I get so tired after training. Sometimes I just can't help but run my mouth because I am so exhausted."
If this was Kenan's attempt to make you feel sorry for him you weren't buying it. Although it did strike your heart earlier, when Gio had gone to pick Kenan up at his house, revealing that he was missing a lot of days at school due to his commitments to Juventus. It was clear that Kenan lived a life different from all of yours. But surely he will go on to do great things in the future.
"Y/N?"
"Huh?" You had tuned out of the conversation for a second. But apparently a second was enough for Gio and Maria to have snuck upstairs, leaving you and Kenan behind. He stared at you with big eyes, the alcohol on his breath strong but sweet. "Can I kiss you?"
"What?" You snorted, however, Kenan had already closed his eyes, leaning into you, his lips pressing against the corner of your mouth.
You flinched. And as your hand went to push his weight off of you, the kiss deepend, Kenan's tongue seeking entrance to your mouth. It was granted as you gasped for air, his hand snaking behind your neck, railing you back in to kiss him again. It was unexpected, how good it felt. How a drunk kiss could be laced with so much passion, persuading you to make a series of bad decisions.
"Let's go upstairs, I brought condoms." Kenan traced his lips at the edge of your jaw, nipping at the skin.
"Okay." You whispered, however, your need for him became urgent, your legs wrapping around his hips, pulling him down to lay on top of you. Kenan's mouth moving down your neck tickled like feathers. His hands found their way underneath your shirt, stopping to cup the swell of your bra. But in a moment of indecision, like a child in the buffet line, his hand slipped down your tummy, to your thighs.
"What?" You giggled, seeing as he stopped to stare at you, eyes foggy from the alcohol.
"I don't want you to regret this."
"What is there to regret?"
"I'm serious Y/N, I want you to want this. I want you to want…me."
Your eyes widened. "Kenan." Your brain was clouded from the alcohol but not smashed enough for you not to recognize the change in his voice. Your hands went to this face. "I want this." You nodded. "I want you."
It was all the reassurance he seemed to need. Kenan leaned into kiss you and the tenderness of the kiss flared a swarm of butterflies to invade your stomach. He squeezed your thighs not minding the size of them. He was almost obsessed, eager to strip you of your skinny jeans. He did so promptly and you helped by raising your hips. However, you were not as comfortable during the next phase. The liquid courage in your veins ceased to flow once the realization hit that you were about to see Kenan naked for the first time and he you.
"You, okay?" He asked, noticing how your hands weren't running down his body anymore.
"Kenan I…?"
A fear sprung his eyes, A fear that you may have come to the conclusion that this was a mistake.
"I'm not as confident about my body as people think." You said.
"Your body?" He frowned, and shamelessly stared at what lay beneath him.
"Yes, my body." You sighed. "You said so yourself, I'm not skinny and guys like you like skinny girls without belly pouches and what not. "
"Guys' like me?" Kenan repeated, and if he was planning on playing dumb, you were grabbing your things and heading out the door. "Y/N, I don't know who's made up such lies about me, or if it's just you who likes to have a guy repeat how fucking sexy you are?"
"Pardon?" It felt like being hit by a brick. A brick that snapped you out of any cloudiness you previously felt.
Kenan smiled and broadly so. "I meant it the first time I said it, I like you Y/N, all of you."
It was as if a vail unraveled before you, revealing the beauty that was Kenan. His smile, his dimples, the cocky way that he arched his splintered brow, it was all offered to you, all you had to do was accept. A few minutes later you were going at it again, tongue deep, your bodies grinding against each other as if you were trying to start a fire. It was the wildest thing that you had ever done, to ride someone on a living room couch, not holding back on the moans, a pure reflection on how good it felt to have Kenan inside of you. He was merciless, shameless even. And after the first round he had you spread your legs while he went down on you for twenty minutes, refusing to let back to back oragsms stop him from making you squirm. You would certainly regret it in the morning and the near future, but for now you let yourself go under.

Epithet Erased (webshow & lite novel) | Ace Attorney (video game series & anime)
Tumblr media
[This poll was made by silly mistake on the part of the tournament runner, who misread the bracket. Sorry! It won't count towards the overall tournament. Followers have voted to make Gio/Molly PPP's mascots if they win tho!]
Giovanni Potage & Molly Blyndeff:
1. THEY’RE SO SILLYYYYYYY i love them. they’re such a prime example of friendship with an age gap in media, which, i think needs to happen a bit more. i have friends older than me! i have friends younger than me! and also they’re just. goofy. silly 2. Would any friendship bracket truly be complete without this dynamic duo? She’s a serious an disillusioned elementary school student, resigned to her miserable lot in life after years of neglect and doing her family’s taxes. He’s a wacky and optimistic teenager turned supervillain, here to sweep her away from her abusive family. Together, they commit CRIMES! 3. She is an anxious child who has the power to dumb down noises or impacts to help her deal with the literal everything in her life, as she has to balance school and her family’s toy store, especially as her father and sister seem to prioritize their own selves and not care about the family as a whole. Molly is like 11 or something and has to do her family’s taxes! He is a villainous mastermind!…well, he says he is. In actuality, Giovanni is a captain in the Bonzai Blasters, with ambitions of being promoted to Vice Principal…or even Associate Justice or Valedictorian! (Yes. This is how that system is organized) But unlike the rest, he prioritizes the wellbeing of his minions above all else. He’s comfortable with his masculinity, as he knits for his minions and packs them all some soup in case they get hungry. Oh! He also has the power of soup. He can make soup, make steam of soup, and every 13th physical hit from him deals critical damage (that has nothing to do with soup. It’s just what he does). After a heist gone wrong, these two meet, and Giovanni adopts Molly as one of his minions (giving her the minion name “Beartrap”, on account of her bear hoodie. She likes bears). Together, they thwart/do a heist and steal a valuable amulet. Giovanni also distances Molly from the Banzais when the cops show up, so she will not have to worry about legal troubles. Not spoiling much about the book (Prison of Plastic, go read it), but Giovanni continues to stand up for Molly against her family, who continues to write her off. He tries to get her sister to connect with her and soften up. He can’t do much with the dad because he sucks. Giovanni makes sure Molly knows how cool she is as a person and that she doesn’t let herself be walked all over by other people. He helps her stand up for herself, and in turn, she helps him with crime.
Maya Fey & Phoenix Wright:
1. Quite frankly I don’t think they will win. They are constantly being tormented and experiencing the horrors and this poll would be no different. 2. they literally cannot die no matter what hell canon puts them through. fall off that bridge n cliff to a deathly boy! get kidnapped like 4 times girl! when she gets kidnapped like the first time, they had to make a new sprite for Phoenix coz he didn’t look devasted and depressed enough. Power of friendship though! and she is OKI! :) 3. The most iconic attorney and assistant pair in the series. Phoenix canonically ran onto a burning bridge to try to save Maya when she was in danger. His call with her got cut off once and he left the country to go make sure she was safe. She’s been kidnapped twice to be used as leverage against him and both times she was more worried about him than herself. She once jumped in front of a taser to try to protect him. He’s also defended her from murder accusations like four times. Their relationship defines the original game trilogy even more than the Wright-Edgeworth relationship does. Other Ace Attorney games wish they could replicate this dynamic. They got added to a fighting game as a single unit where they work together to fight. They both think they’re the reasonable one in this friendship, despite neither of them actually deserving that title.
Note: This blog is run & followed by aromantics. Insisting any pairs are ~actually romantic~ will not only cause you to be blocked on the spot, but you’ll out yourself as someone not safe to be queer around. No one wants to hear how stupid you look with those shipping goggles on.

The secret 3rd kid part 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[part 4]
Walking into the changing room felt weird. You had spent the last 10 years at one club. It's different, but it's good. Walking to your cubicle, you pass everyone. You haven't talked to anyone other than the 4 girls changing into your training stuff. Someone sits next to you. Looking up, you are met with Gio looking at you.
"Hey, I don't think we've met before," Gio says, offering a friendly smile.
“Hey, and yeah, I'm a new transfer in, Amelia,” you respond, reaching into your bag to get your football boots out and tying the laces up.
"Hey, Amelia, nice to meet you," Gio responds warmly, "I'm Gio, been here for one season now." She extends her hand, and you shake it.
"So, what position do you play?" she asks, genuine curiosity in her tone.
“Well, I can play most positions, but I play center mid the most.”
A tall person comes out of nowhere and stands in front of you and Gio.
“Hey, I'm Jen. We need to go now as we are going to be running extra laps,” she says abruptly.
You just stare in shock. Jen Beattie had just talked to you, and now she is your teammate, like all your idols. How is this your life? Not even 3 weeks ago, you were living a somewhat normal life, and now you're here playing in a professional league with your idols. You never got the expression "your life can change in a blink of an eye"; you had yet to figure out if it was for the better. You, Jen, and Gio talk on the way to the pitch. When you finally get there, a lot of new faces are staring at you. Shaking it off, you wait for instructions.
It's been 2 weeks since you joined because of injury you were getting your first start. Standing in the tunnel, you feel like you're about to be sick. Jen comes up to you.
“Close your eyes before the whistle; it should help with the nerves,” she advises.
You just nod, not trusting that you won't vomit on her. Walking out onto the Emirates was scary. You take a team photo. Right behind the bench, you see your mama and dad running to get in position. The game goes quick; you win 4-0. You scored 1 of the goals and got 2 assists. They want you for a post-match interview. Walking in, you let them start asking questions.
“Hey, my question is why was Sarina Wiegman wearing your top?”
You knew this question would come up.
“She's my mom, of course, she's going to wear my top.”

Different person, I desire info on the ace attorney au
HI SORRY THIS IS LIKE A MONTH OLD AT THIS POINT
idk if i'll ever do more art bc when will i ever be interested in jjba AND aa at the same time again but just for you. the rough timeline of the entire au
PART 1: PHANTOM ATTORNEY
basically phantom blood but without vampires. jonathan is a defense attorney, the assistant switches between erina and speedwagon; first case is probably defending speedwagon. zeppeli isn't a hamon user here, but rather a spirit medium who gives jonathan some training. jonathan can't actually talk to ghosts, his ability is probably more similar to apollo's; maybe he can sense someones spirit 'wavering', aka when they're unsure.
main antagonist is dio, who is the opposing attorney. he's done a lot of shit he's never gotten caught for, but jonathan manages to reveal his crimes in the final case. dio gets sentenced to death, rip king.
PART 2: uh. battle tendency doesn't happen here.
idk how long it would've taken someone to get executed back in ye olde england times but for this au its long enough for jonathan to have at least two kids. one of these is george ii (joseph's dad), the other will create a branch family (aka giornos gotta exist somehow)
shortly after dio's execution, he forms as a vengeful spirit and is able to forcibly possess jonathan and kill him. dio's a bitch tho and continues to possess joestars whenever possible, but due to uh. reasons? he's not able to kill the next generation of joestars until they have had their own kids. deciding that going after the whole lineage would be tiring, dio just decides to focus on joseph and his descendants.
PART 3: jotaro fucks up
joseph manages to spirit train well enough that dio can't possess him or whatever, and lives a long life. holly manages to avoid him as well. jotaro was on the track to be strong enough to shut dio out, but decided to be an idiot 17 year old and try to banish dio for good. by some means both he and dio fail at their goals, and jotaro is stuck with dio...not really possessing him, but giving running commentary 24/7. joots tries to live with it for awhile, but the thought that dio could eventually succeed in possessing him and hurting those around him (aka baby jolyne) causes him to distance himself from everyone.
PART 4: AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
apologies to josuke for stealing his part number.
anyway. almost completely unrelated to all that, pannacotta fugo is a prodigy prosecuting attorney who has one of the highest success rates in the country. he has a found family sort of thing with the rest of bucci's gang, who he's all advised on legal matters at some point. they (sans fugo) run a restaurant; this isn't important at all to the au, i just like the idea. anyway, fugo's life is pretty good, until.
giorno fucking giovanna.
he arrives out of nowhere and quickly becomes the best defense in the country, even tho he's younger than fugo (both of them are too young to be attorneys, but this is aa). doesn't matter if his client is clearly guilty, giorno can get them off the hook (he only takes clients he believes should be seen as innocent, but giorno has his own interesting moral system). these two idiots battle it out in the courtroom, until bucciarati is framed for a murder.
unable to defend him, fugo turns to the only person he can, giorno. giorno completely clears bucci's name, unraveling the truth of the case - aka taking down diavolo, who's organized most of the crimes in this 'game'. since trish is the assistant for this game, she becomes kinda the main character during the final case lol. either way diavolo goes to jail, and both gio and trish are sort of folded into the bucci gang.
PART 5: GHOSTS ARE REAL
the second 'game' would be giorno with jolyne as an assistant; he clears her from the vehicular manslaughter and both of them resolve to solve the conspiracy behind it (it's pucci. pucci's behind it). josuke is here as a side character, being a police detective
the final case involves revealing pucci's crimes and jolyne finding a way to free her father from dio's spirit. no universe reset here lads :)
50/50 onto whether giorno finds out he's actually related to the joestars or not. he still bills them either way
PART 6: feedback investigations
fugo gets his own games but idk a whole lot about the investigations games so uh! lets just say its normal aa shenanigans with the purple haze feedback characters in there as well

Alter intro x 2, The Don and Anwir
Name: Boss/The Don
Role: "System Manager"/Persecutor
Pronouns: He/Him
Age: 33
Notes: I don't like to talk to people. I'd actually rather *not* be perceived unless absolutely necessary. I don't like when I'm not listened to or taken seriously. I'd prefer to cut off everyone around us.
Name: Anwir Veneta
Role: Persecutor and "Assistant System Manager"
Pronouns: He/Him
Age: 55
Notes: System Manager roles are specific to our system. We make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Of course, our gatekeeper has the ability to control what memories we do or don't have at any given time, and is the only alter that we cannot truly manage. They do what they need to and we will not interfere with them. While the Don is quite...reclusive and antisocial, I am very much more outward in my approach to things, especially when fronting.
I find it important for people to know when I'm out so that I am treated with the honor and respect that I deserve. I find trying to mask who we are terribly exhausting, there truly is nothing that we gain from it. Though I do agree that we should cut everyone off, however the others wouldn't be too happy if we did that. I know Diavolo, Gio, Leone, and Solido all like the system's current friends.
I have my opinions on what I think about everyone. I am always keeping a close eye on what everyone is doing. I just know that the inevitable will happen, it's just a matter of asking *when* it'll happen.
I also prefer the finer things. Dressing up nicely, looking nice, having nice things. I expect nothing less than perfect from myself.

8 (atelier Desmond)
no 8 from the List of AC Fic Ideas I have at the moment:
8. Atelier Desmond
Tentative title: Atelier Desmond: the Alchemist of Masyaf
Desmond is 18 or 19, idk
Altaïr and Malik are 25
Ezio is around AC Rev age
Connor is 17
Desmond ‘owns’ the only atelier in Masyaf.
Altaïr gets ordered to shut it down
Atelier Rorona plot happens
Add Scene:
After seeing Malik’s reports
Altaïr helping Desmond properly calculate how much he should be asking for what he makes
Calculation of ingredients + labor, compare it to srp
Edward asks payment by amount of booze
Altaïr asking if Desmond is even paid for his assistance
Or did Edward Kenway say that this is for exposure?
Desmond: I get free food from Aunt Ziio's restaurant and I can sleep in the atelier.  Altaïr: Uh-huh. Altaïr: Do you understand why you must be paid correctly? Desmond: Uuuhhh… tax purposes? Altaïr: (siiigghhh)
I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S HAPPENING ANYMORE
Altaïr as Sterk
Ezio as Gio (hehe) (Altaïr glaring the entire time whenever they're in a party together with Desmond)
Desmond: If Altaïr is looking for you, that means you're a criminal! Ezio: Criminal? If anything, I am a prisoner! Desmond: That's what they do to criminals!
Connor as Cory/Iksel (helps his mom in the restaurant but tries to join Desmond whenever he's free, childhood friends with Desmond)
Edward as Astrid (actually left to go on a trip with his son, Haytham)
Malik as Esty
Lydia as Lionela with 2 plushies as Evie and Jacob (from dead aunt and uncle)
Altaïr: Do you have a permit to perform here in the town square? Jacob: Shit, it’s the fuzz, run, Lydia! Evie: Run! Altaïr: Get back here! *cue chase scene*
Next scene: Desmond with Malik with the requests
Altaïr: (annoyed, holding Lydia by the collar in one hand and the two dolls by the neck in the other hand) Altaïr: (drops all three in front of Malik) Give this girl a permit. Malik: You just want to give me more work. Altaïr: Do your job, Malik. Malik: And where is our dear king again, Altaïr? Altaïr: (leaves with a growl) Malik: (sighs and turns to Lydia) Let me get you your permit form.
(Later scene)
Desmond: Hehehe Altaïr: Why are you laughing? Desmond: Sorry. It’s just… you’re kinder than I expected. Altaïr: ??? Desmond: You chased Lydia to help her instead of arresting her. Altaïr: I don’t know what you mean. It’s as Malik said, I just want to drown Malik in paperwork. Desmond: Sure, big guy. Whatever lets you sleep at night.
OTHER IDEAS:
Arno as Tantris (Arno drunk and Desmond cures him with an alchemy potion. All his songs are like Burn Butcher Burn but for Elise)
Shay and Ade stuck with Edward and Haytham to make sure they don’t kill each other (technically to stop Haytham from killing Edward)
Arbaaz as Cole
Shao Jun as Tiffani
Nikolai as Hagel
Aveline as Pamela
(It would be funny if Aguilar is a Chim...)

[ad_1] Follow live coverage of England vs Belgium in an international friendly todayThe United States men’s national team has won its third straight CONCACAF Nations League final with a 2-0 win over Mexico at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex.Tyler Adams opened the scoring just before halftime with a long-range thunderbolt on his first start for the U.S. in about a year and a half, while Gio Reyna added the United States’ second after providing two assists in the semifinal vs. Jamaica. The match was stopped twice late on after discriminatory chants were heard. Here are our key takeaways…How to follow the Copa America on The Athletic…The chant persistsAs the match approached the 90th minute with the United States leading 2-0, fans could be heard shouting a discriminatory word on goal kicks that world governing body FIFA, CONCACAF and the Mexican federation have worked to eradicate. After each instance, a message was read over the stadium’s public address system in English and Spanish reminding fans of the federation’s policy concerning that chant. As the shouts persisted after goal kicks taken by U.S. goalkeeper Matt Turner, Canadian referee Drew Fischer finally moved to Step 1 of that anti-discrimination protocol, which calls for the match to pause, offenders to be removed from the stadium and the game resumed. When it seemed that the match was over, and some fans even directed chants at Mexican shot-stopper Ochoa, Fischer once again put a pause to proceedings rather than ending the match — which the referee also may do under the protocol.GO DEEPERMexico federation's ongoing struggles to combat homophobic chantBefore Turner could take the final kick of the match, 40 seconds after the second pause, the referee ended the match as fans streamed out of the stadium.  CONCACAF, the governing body of North America, Central America and Caribbean soccer, condemned the chanting and added in a statement: “It is extremely disappointing that this matter continues to be an issue at some matches, particularly in the context of the next two years presenting such a tremendous opportunity to grow the sport in our region.“We will continue to urge fans to support their teams positively and with respect for the opposition and all participants in the game.”Jon ArnoldTyler Adams, from long rangeAfter two hamstring operations and a whole lot of rehab work and waiting, Tyler Adams started for the United States for the first time in 478 days. Yet as the midfielder continues to work back to full fitness, he still was limited, with U.S. manager Gregg Berhalter only able to play him 45 minutes. He used every last bit.As the first half neared stoppage time, center back Tim Ream ran down an errant corner kick and moved the ball to Tim Weah who found Weston McKennie further wide. McKennie then slid the ball to Adams who was around 30 yards from Guillermo Ochoa’s goal. Adams took one touch then launched a right-footed rocket through the legs of diving Mexico midfielder Erick Sanchez and past the diving Ochoa for a resounding opening goal. TYLER ADAMS FROM THE PARKING LOT ARE YOU FOR REAL??? 💥🚀🔥 pic.twitter.com/ZrK7PoxCST — CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) March 25, 2024Even before his golazo, Adams had made his presence felt in the middle of the field, closing down opposing defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez when the West Ham United player got on the ball with time and dropped back to help the U.S. pass out of pressure when Mexico forward Henry Martin was trying to win the ball off the American center backs.Still, the strike, Adams’ first career goal from outside the box, will be what everyone remembers from the performance.“I’ve been at training passing him balls to hit from 30 yards out … I’ve never, ever seen him hit a ball like that,” Jesse Marsch, Adams’ former club coach, said on the Paramount+ broadcast. Not a bad way to make a mark in 45 minutes of play.Jon ArnoldReyna’s interesting roleIt’s fair to say that Gio Reyna loves the CONCACAF Nations League. After scoring in the 2021 final and assisting on both goals in last year’s final against Canada, Reyna found the back of the net with a finish in the second half of this year’s final to double the USMNT’s advantage.Reyna spent parts of the first half, though, dropping deep in possession on the left side trying to start the U.S. build-up from that deeper position. It’s a similar role to one played by Weston McKennie, who got on the ball in that space often at the World Cup against England and in several other U.S. games, including the semifinal win over Jamaica. The majority of Reyna’s touches in the first half came well away from the attacking third, and the decision to play him in that role prompted some criticism at halftime from the CBS analysts, including Marsch, who was a candidate for the U.S. coaching position last year, and former U.S. forward Charlie Davies.“I just don’t understand why we make all these complicated rotations and for me they were putting players into position that doesn’t access their best qualities,” Marsch said. “We decided to put (Reyna) almost in a buildup position as a left center back, and what you’ll see is he doesn’t even look that comfortable…he is making passes that Tyler Adams could easily make, that Tim Ream could easily make, that players that have less quality than he has can easily make. I think what makes Gio special is when you put him up the field and you put him in difficult spots where he has real options ahead of him to make meaningful plays.”The U.S. had fairly decent control of the game in the first half, and finally got rewarded when Adams lasered his finish home. Reyna did get more involved up the field in the second half, though Adams’ goal changed how Mexico had to approach the final 45 minutes. Reyna’s positioning further up the field allowed him to get on the end of a poor clearance from Mexico and volley the finish into the lower corner to make it 2-0. GIO REYNA. DOS A CERO. 😤🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/xgJLAA6T2o — CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) March 25, 2024Reyna, who was starting a competitive game for the first time since Nov. 1, 2023, was subbed out in the 79th minute for Yunus Musah as the U.S. looked to close out the result.Paul TenorioThe results will decideFor nearly 90 minutes during Thursday’s semifinal against Jamaica, it felt as though the United States’ Nations League campaign would be viewed as a disaster. The team never shook off the sting of conceding early in that game, and seemed unable to even formulate a potential answer until deep into second-half stoppage time. In most cases, a late equalizer would cause TV pundits to tear up their talking points and just acknowledge the chaotic game-breaker for the spectacle it was.Not Clint Dempsey.“That was stressful,” Dempsey said minutes after Cory Burke’s own goal. “I haven’t really seen the U.S. play good since the last CONCACAF Nations League, to be honest with you. And then before that, the last time I saw them play well was against England in the World Cup. I just haven’t been impressed with their play. They look tired today. We’re still in it, but man, it was almost panic stations.”Sunday’s win in a third consecutive Nations League extends an impressive record against Mexico in recent years, but those looking for style from this iteration of the national team would be forgiven for being underwhelmed by this window.Five years ago, discussing Berhalter’s approach to the role centered around a style of play; buzzwords like “verticality” were all the rage, and patterns of play were carefully dissected to track the program’s progress. Since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, however, those trademarks are less evident. It’s what pundits like Dempsey and CBS Sports desk peer Jesse Marsch have fixated on in questioning Berhalter’s credentials to lead this team into the Copa América and, ultimately, the 2026 World Cup.Such is life as a second-term international manager. Poor results that would’ve been excused away as “learning moments” a cycle ago are now graded on a pass/fail basis. There’s (almost) always a previous tournament performance that serves as a benchmark, and only meeting or surpassing those milestones will be enough to bypass a potential alternative on the touchline.Berhalter’s players continue to back him. Having won another Nations League and again asserted dominance over the region, there’s indisputable evidence that the project is on track. At this point, either Berhalter’s team will continue to rack up the wins — and therefore justify a more pragmatic approach than some would like from these players — or they don’t. Only then is there an open question needing an answer. We’ll check back during Copa América. Jeff Rueter(Photo: Omar Vega/Getty Images) !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s) if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function()n.callMethod? n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments); if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n;n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version='2.0'; n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0; t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)(window, document,'script', 'https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js'); fbq('init', '207679059578897'); fbq('track', 'PageView'); [ad_2] Source link

“Oh!--” Elle-Emelia pulled a hand to her chest, looking too startled for it to be genuine, “Abraham. I didn’t realize you were here.”
“Indeed.” Abraham said coolly. There was little chance that she didn’t know exactly where he’d been for the last two hours. Emelia’s timing was too perfect. She’d shown up as soon as he’d breached the topic he’d came for, and it left him unable to ask more questions of Giovanni, and his supposed plot to fake his wife’s death without losing her. He’d give the man credit. Faking an embarrassing and scandalous romance with a lookalike was a unique plan. But said lookalike’s sudden appearance had him narrowing his eyes in annoyance.
“Gio, amore mio.” She hummed quietly, “è ora noi siamo di sbarazzarsi di lui?”
Abraham clasped his hands quietly in his lap, keeping his face carefully neutral. He would not let the twitch in his jaw give away that his lack of understanding infuriated him.

USA: 2022-23 CONCACAF Nations League Winners
Tumblr media
There is little question as to which national team is the best men’s side in Concacaf.
The U.S. national left little doubt on Sunday night, registering a 2-0 triumph over Canada in the Concacaf Nations League final before a half-filled Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Chris Richards and Flo Balogun scored their first international goals as Gio Reyna set up both goals as the USA finished a perfect four days after dispatching Mexico quite handily in the semifinals on Thursday night, 3-0.
Reyna, however, never had an opportunity to add to his total in the second half as he was forced out of the match halftime after suffering an apparent right ankle injury. Luca de la Torre replaced him.
There also other heroes for the U.S., which defending the first CNL crown it earned in 2021.
Goalkeeper Matt Turner turned away four shots when Canada penetrated the Americans backline. Left back Antonee Robinson was outstanding as was Richards and Walker Zimmerman, who replaced an injured Miles Robinson at center back.
Right Joe Scally, in place of the suspended Sergino Dest (red card), played very well in the back on both sides of the ball. Scally had a strong attacking presence on the flank, picking his spots. After suffering an apparent injury while covering Alphonso Davies, the Lake Grove, N.Y. native was replaced by Austin Trusty in the 79th minute.
The USA also played without midfielder Weston McKennie, who also was red carded in the Mexico win.
It did seem the Americans missed McKennie or Dest, they were so dominant on Sunday night.
The USA started its youngest Starting XI in a final with an average age of 23 years and 314 days old. The Americans’ lineup used three 20-year-old players Yunus Musah, Reyna and Scally – for the first time to start a final.
The Americans put together another full match, using their speed and well-timed passes to keep the Canadians off balance for a good portion of the night.
In contrast to the win over Mexico, Christian Pulisic did not make much of an impression in the opening half. But Reyna stepped up and assisted on both goals as the Americans grabbed a 2-0 lead.
They kept the pressure on Canada for a good portion of the opening half, winning several corner and free kicks, within striking distance.
The USMNT cashed in in the 12th minute when Richards headed home in a perfect corner kick from Reyna in traffic from yards for a 1-0 lead.
Reyna demonstrated he could do some playmaking from the run of play in the 34th minute as he threaded the needle to an onrushing Balogun, who beat goalkeeper Milan Borjan from eight yards on the right side for his debut goal in his second international appearance.
The Canadians came out pushing forward in the second half, but the U.S. regained possession and put pressure in its attempt to put the game away early on. Borjan saved a pair of Antonee Robinson shots in the 56th minute, parrying the first off of the crossbar for a corner kick, to keep the score at 2-0.
Turner had his moments as well. He denied Cyle Larin in the ninth minute and saved attempts by Stephen Eustaquio and Richie Laryea in the 37th and 39th minutes, respectively. Two minutes into the second half, the Arsenal keeper stopped Ismael Kone’s try.
With the USA winning a major confederation title, head coach B.J. Callaghan and his staff will set their sights on another one later this week. That’s when the USMNT starts its run in the Concacaf Gold Cup. There will be another American squad wearing the red, white and blue as it will face Jamaica in its group opener in Chicago on Saturday, June 24.
