Hey I’m always looking for new good music and you mentioned p-pop! Do you have any suggestions?

yeah! 

i’ve been really into sb19 as of late. they just released their new song “what?” i also like “go up” and “alab (burning)”. they were trained by a korean entertainment company and are currently still under them so they have a very k-pop aesthetic lol. the members are pablo, stell (my favorite), ken, justin, and josh. also not to toot their horn but i really think they were the ones who set p-pop into motion lol their “go up” dance practice video went viral in the philippines. 

there’s also bygo, who debuted literally just in january with “the light.” the members are gelo, akira (my favorite), jl, mikki, and nate. 

there’s alamat, whose debut song is “kbye.” while they are also heavily inspired by k-pop, they also have a more? filipino aesthetic to them? like, yeah, they have the brightly dyed hair and such, but their clothing patterns and the jeepneys in the background and the baybayin are pretty damn filipino. the members are taneo, mo (my favorite), tomas, r-ji, kin, valfer, alas, gami, and jao.

there’s 1st.one who’ve been around for a year or so, with their debut song “you are the one.” there’s also “hold on” (which i know seems very christmasy, but it was released in october and in the philippines if the month ends in -ber... we’re probably already celebrating christmas lol). the members are ace, max, alpha (my favorite), joker, j, jason, and gift (who is a “special member” but i have no idea what that means?). 

honestly, i wish i could suggest more, but p-pop, while it’s been around for a bit, only really... rose? to prominence within the last 2 years or so.
