I’ve been MIA and missed everything cause Netflix cancelled my fave show so I’ve been dealing with saving it on Twitter -.- but my gosh Kibum looks so good and the album is so good!!!!

I have no idea how to even begin choosing a fave track.

and yeah, i really love the album! i've seen a few people here & there feel a bit iffy about it, but, i think there's so much shinee there!

that sounds stupid, like of course there is, but, i mean their colour and vibe and sound is so rife in thia album. People don't seme the get the direction, but someone said its like lucifer and 1of1 had a baby, and yep. that's it.

You and tinkchick555 aren't the only ones who think the Frozen ride looks like crap. My sister (disneylandrdilettante) and I both think it looks both dreadful and boring as hell. Yeah, sure, the animatronics are splendid, but it's just Frozen the soundtrack the ride (and not even the full soundtrack, like Ariel's Under the Sea Adventure is), with too many screens and weird backwards bits and more plot than should be included in a dark/flume ride.

Dark/flume rides are about the ambiance of the setting, NOT about the story of the movie the ride is based on. PotC and HM hint at a possible story, but leave most of it up to the imagination of the guest. This feels much too much like the Frozen section of Kingdom Hearts, which wasn't allowed to deviate from the plot of the movie at all, in so much as Elsa was belting out Let It Go while Sora, Donald and Goofy stood awkwardly in the background watching.

We were even robbed of an amazing dress transformation right before our eyes, which is honestly what I was anticipating. After giving us Beast's transformation, I was literally expecting something as visually stunning for Elsa, but no. Just open a different set of doors, and now she's in her trademark outfit.

Oh shit, the idea of a dress transformation didn't even occur to me. They definitely could have done that. We were robbed.

I know it's ironic considering what many of the classic Disneyland rides are like but IDK, I feel like we've gotten to a point where a ride just being "you can go through the story of the movie!" doesn't cut it. Even earlier rides like Peter Pan's Flight had SOME immersive quality to then-- you're not just sitting there while the story of Peter Pan happens around you, you're soaring through the sky with the characters. What this new ride reminds me of most is Universal Singapore's Madagascar ride, where you literally just watched as the story of Madagascar was reenacted on either side of your boat. It feels designed for little kids to point at stuff and go "I remember that part of the movie!" and very little else.

Imagine the cool new stories that could've been told with that much impressive technology. Even "the gang has to fight off some kind of new snow monster" would've been better. Hell, they could've put Anna and Elsa in new dresses and made a killing selling dolls of them.

Welcome! Picking a favourite moment has always been hard for me, and if I do have one it usually changes. At this time, from ISWM Part 1 would have to be the Old Man Mark scenes during the ending. And for Part 2 between the scene where Mark is realizing it was his fault and the music from WKM comes on and the scene where we see Stan the Water Man again! Thank you for the ask! <3

How has the vocal training been going?? <3

hey!!! initially i wanted to wait with answering this until after my vocal lesson on tuesday but eh, what the hell. i am just gonna... very tentatively say that i am slowly regaining my footing. which, it feels like it happened so quickly i think but the truth is that i have been struggling for well over a year now (in april it will have been a year since i had covid, so that pretty much checks out. that was like the final nail in my coffin, lol), and i probably struggled even longer than that. if i am brutally honest, which. uh. once again, lol. that is why i honestly find it very encouraging when singers i look up to confess that they also struggle and question themselves and their skill; it is normal and human, and it isn't the end of the world either or makes me a terrible singer.

anyways. the thing is, i really truly and well feel like i am fifteen again just with a different skillset. i have started from scratch, mostly. i sing a bunch of the same stuff i sang ten years ago, a lot of rock and pop-punk stuff that taught me how to sing to begin with, like fall out boy and paramore. because those are songs i could already sing, so they are familiar but i have to force myself to sing it properly, stop singing so much from my throat (which i most definitely got rid of before and now i am annoyed that it happens basically unconsciously. it sucks.) i think i need to get an ab workout in again, lmao, because i NEED the support to come easier for me. yoseob, i understand you and your crazy abs wholeheartedly. 😭

my last two vocal lessons went pretty well, though! i am pretty happy with my mix these days, i think i managed to push it a little higher while maintaining the volume, and i am working so hard to not go thin when i sing high anymore, which is another annoying thing that has happened to me after covid. never happened before, now i am like wtf is this???? so i try to consciously adjust that too. the song i picked for my lesson right now is a straight musical theater piece with lots of high belting and it sits right where my voice breaks these days (also smth i worked out before that is now back, lol) and i am not letting up on working through it because i need to figure out how to sing this fucking song properly. technique and all. i need to go through every section and adjust my voice, like i am really treating this like i did when i was fifteen and sang way less challenging songs. so, at least i know i made SOME progress in ten years. lmao.

i sing a lot at work now, so i have gotten rid of most of my anxiety surrounding singing in public. that used to cripple me to death until, like, three years ago or something? i couldn't even sing in front of my teacher, it always fucked me up. but it's nice because now people come up to me and tell me i either have a great voice or they like my music!! lmao.

ok, so!!! uh, i think i am hopefully getting over the hurdle now is what i am saying. and i hope that the progress is not just temporary and that it keeps going like that. i wanna feel comfortable and confident singing again, because i know i can do it. and i know what i am capable of.

yoseob posted videos on his stories of him warming up and singing these past days and that was so encouraging, man. idk. it just made me feel so happy. i admire him so much, i think he is one of the best singers ever and his technique is soooo good. it's so cool how dedicated he is to keep himself in shape, and he also still takes vocal lessons!! he really is such an inspiration to me. i remember when jongdae and jinho would post bits from their vocal warm ups or lessons, that inspires me so much as well. it's just that normal stuff that keeps me going. i guess.

First ever ship: Probably Buffy and Spike. But I heard about fandoms and fanfiction because of Sherlock BBC and Johnlock. I also wrote my first ficlet for them. 

Last song/album is: Endless Summer Vacation by Miley Cyrus. I’m even thinking of buying the CD so I can listen to it in my car. 

Last movie: Pirates of the Caribbean on the tv (always enjoy those movies!) . Knives Out: Glass Onion on Netflix (that one was hilarious and I loved it)

Currently reading: The Hunger Games, book 1. (I bought the box set with the one book included). And I’m reading Winter’s End by  ali_aliska I don’t care that it’s not finished, the words that are out are so good, I’m finding it very comforting. 

Currently watching: I’m following Perry Mason. And I just watched Moon Knight on Disney+  Not sure what I will watch next, I have a list on both Disney+ and Netflix of shows and series I want to try.

nothing happened. minho just seems to be like in his feels. he said how usually this time of the year he would feel like he hasn’t done anything and would beat himself up, telling himself to work harder (this was when i started crying bc we all know how fucking hardworking this man is). he also said his heart hurts/is heavy bc he hasn’t kept his promise to see shawols soon and often. but then his last message was actually really lovely and i’ll share it when i find a translation of it. now this could be wrong but like from my understanding, he said he wants everyone (including himself) to know that they have run and walked harder than anyone else, and he hopes that today we compliment ourselves instead of comparing ourselves to others

I feel like we got robbed of so many good KenKao interactions in the movies ;; like knowing how much during the Kyoto series got filmed but deleted, but gosh dangit I love Sato Takeru as kenshin.

Sato Takeru was such an amazing Kenshin, he took my breath away, his expressions were so wonderful. Such a good actor. I am not aware how much was filmed vs deleted, but I know that a lot of the kenkao moments got substituted for other scenes, and honestly that was among my biggest gripe.

I’m still so so salty that they didn’t put “Kenshin punching Enishi in the face” in the movie, Kenshin going feral over Kaoru was one of the biggest most powerful scenes in the manga and they really just. *sigh*

The first three movies were absolutely perfect, I held out hope for the Jinchuu one until the credits rolled, but oh well.
