Last night’s Coldplay concert is going to be sheared into my memories forever.
By the end of it, I legit looked like a homeless person—messy, sweaty, and drained. But oh, what a beautiful mess it was.
There was this girl holding a poster that said, "Fix You fixed me," and wow, same. Also, let me just say: itni sundar sundar bandiya thi bhai! After last night, I think I might be leaning toward the lesbian side of my bisexuality (less drama more empathy win win). Honestly, idc atp.
Can we talk about Jasleen Royal though? She’s absolutely stunning (and okay, Guy Berryman too). and when she sang Sahiba and Love You Zindagi chills, literal chills.
But here’s a pro tip: don’t—just don’t—go to a concert with your cousins. Worst. Decision. Ever. You can't even flirt back with them present not even a meter away.
To top it all off, people around me were making out while I stood there singing Yellow, crying my fucking heart out. That song is already painful enough, and then add to that the namak of other people’s relationships. I would like to say it again I fucking hate world.
Another pro tip (this one for my future self): listen to your mom. Ditch the boots next time, you idiot. My feet are still screaming, and I could’ve danced so much more without that pain.
Still, 10/10 would relive this chaos again
P.S. I already miss Mumbai
#19 january 2025#next Tomorrowland????? let me save up for that first#I am in so much pain#my whole body is hurting#I just wanna die rn#lemme go to sleep#I have taken a painkiller and one migraine ki goli#my first ever rant here ig#I don't remember#coldplay india tour#coldplay concert#mumbai#coldplay#jasleen royal#desiblr

JANUARY 17, 2025 Prison service says taking measures to block 'public displays of joy' when Palestinians are released

End ID.
Note that this is obviously occupation media. It therefore will always serve the occupation propaganda war machine. All media from the occupying entity tends towards giving the occupying settlers hope, and destroying the morale of the Palestinian people and their ability to resist. We should as outsiders be careful of sharing and consuming this propaganda, even if it purports to share factual information.
That said, let us remind the occupying entity that we as outsiders will remain thorns in their side. Let’s give joyfully to Palestinian fundraisers on this site, such as
As well as individual fundraisers shared by accounts like @gazavetters
If we can’t give, we can share!
This is one way we can counteract the ghoulish, joy-killing ambitions of the occupation entity
Free Palestine ✌🏾🇵🇸
Not from The Onion.

World Snow Day
So much joy can be had when the winter weather comes! As long as you're dressed appropriately with the right gear, the cold weather doesn’t need to get in the way.
Celebrating and participating in winter sports and outdoor fun is a delightful way to spend World Snow Day!
History of World Snow Day
The International Ski Federation (also known as FIS—from their official French title, Fédération internationale de ski et de snowboard) is the organization that founded World Snow Day. The FIS was begun back in 1910, when delegates from ten different countries got together in Norway. Now the world’s foremost governing body for Olympic events such as skiing and snowboarding, the International Ski Federation includes at least 180 groups of different national skiing organizations.
World Snow Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in January each year; the inaugural celebration started in 2012. World Snow Day, however, was the second phase of the FIS campaign to get more kids involved with snow sports. The first phase, which was called ‘Bring Children to the Snow’, began five years earlier.
The purpose of World Snow Day is to encourage families to make lasting memories with their children, as well as to offer opportunities for kids to have experiences with winter sports like snowboarding and skiing.
How to Celebrate World Snow Day
Get on board with skiing, snowboarding and a number of other different activities in celebration and enjoyment of World Snow Day. Start with some of these fun ideas:
Create a World Snow Day Event
World Snow Day offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the day by gathering some friends and family members to participate in a winter sports event. Whether it’s sledding, skiing or snowboarding, it’s fun to get people together to celebrate the day on the slopes!
Those who host public World Snow Day events, such as ski slopes or snowboarding parks, can register their local events on the website to get more traction with various participants.
Make Snow Ice Cream
One fun treat to enjoy on National Snow Day is ice cream that is made from snow! Kids will love the idea of eating a treat made in this special way. Add eight cups of freshly gathered snow to one can of sweetened condensed milk and one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix together, add toppings and serve immediately.
Learn Fun Facts About Snow
Spend some time on World Snow Day to glean some information about the most important part of the day which is, of course, the snow. Raise awareness by sharing some fun bits of trivia with friends or coworkers. Try out some of these fun facts for World Snow Day:
Snow is a natural sound buffer. When it falls, a layer of fresh snow can act as a buffer to absorb the sound waves and create a much quieter ambience where sounds don’t bounce around.
Chionophobia is the fear of snow. People with this fear have an extreme reaction to snowy weather and can have a huge impact on everyday life. The name is chionophobia because the Greek word for snow is chióni.
Some monkeys love snow. Macaque monkeys, which are native to Japan, are known as snow monkeys and have been observed playing with snowballs that they have made.
Snowflakes can be pretty fast. While some snowflakes can fall at a fairly slow and leisurely rate, other times they may be moving at a speed that is somewhere around 9 miles per hour and, of course, the wind can help to speed up their movement.
Enjoy Snow Themed Crafts with Kids
School teachers and parents might want to consider making some different crafts and art projects that are themed around the idea of snow. Even if it’s too cold, or if there doesn’t happen to be snow on the ground, it can still be fun to celebrate. Get started with some of these World Snow Day craft ideas for kids:
Build an Indoor Snowman. Cut out circles in three different sizes from white paper. Stack them on top of each other and glue them together. Add accessories including a black top hat, a carrot nose, coal briquettes for buttons and perhaps a bright red scarf to top it all off!
Make Paper Snowflakes. This can be a fun way to get creative with something as simple as white paper and just a pair of scissors. Start by folding the paper into several different folds and then make cuts out of the edges or in the middle. Open it up to reveal a unique snowflake!
Write a Snow Poem. Those who are more artistic with words might want to write a little poem, short story or haiku about snow. Then do a read-aloud so that everyone can share their clever written Snow Day projects.
Make a Snow Globe. Use glass canning jars with lids to create a cute snow globe. Build a scene on the lid by gluing small figures such as trees or other items. Fill the jar with glycerine and glitter, then screw the lid on top to create a fun, homemade snow globe.
Take a Snowy Vacation
Have the most fun on World Snow Day by planning a skiing or snowboarding vacation. Some of the best possible places around the world to ski may include:
Zermatt, Switzerland. With some of the world’s beautiful mountains, Zermatt is the highest area for winter sports in all of the Alps. The Matterhorn is one of the most unbelievable peaks and the world’s highest lift is located there at over 3800 meters in altitude.
Courchevel, France. Get some of the best snow thrills that can be found in the world with this mountain that is not for the faint of heart! With ten summits higher than 2500 meters, it’s an amazing delight.
Whistler Blackcomb, Canada. This one offers some of the best skiing in North America with more than 200 different runs and 37 lifts.

World Religion Day
World Religion Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in January every year, and is a reminder of the need for harmony and understanding between religions and faith systems. On this day, communities of different faiths have the opportunity to get together and listen to each other, as well as celebrate the differences and commonalities that the delicate intermingling of culture and religion brings. There are approximately 4,200 religions around the world. While many people live their lives without religion, faith in a higher being or power works for the majority of people. Whatever the reasons, we are all for the idea of people being unified despite differences, and celebrating them.
History of World Religion Day
The first official observance of World Religion Day (as it is known today), was in 1950, but the concept began a few years prior to that. In Portland, Maine, the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’í Faith hosted a talk in Eastland Park Hotel in October 1947, culminating in the decision to observe an annual event, then known as World Peace Through World Religion. By 1949, the event began to be observed in other parts of the U.S. and grew more popular. By 1950, it came to be known as World Religion Day. On this day, at various different locations, many authors, educators, and philosophers are invited to speak on world religions and the importance of establishing and maintaining harmony between them. It’s a great forum for learning more about other religions and cultures too, and a chance to intermingle socially with people of different faiths and worldviews.
Since this concept was the brainchild of people from the Bahá’í Faith, it is worth exploring what this faith is and tracing its historical roots. As a religion, Bahá’í first emerged in Persia (modern-day Iran), in the 1800s. There are three core principles of this faith — unity of God, unity of religion, and unity of all mankind. It is a monotheistic faith, believing in a single god, and that the spiritual aspects of all religions in this world stem from this single god. Another central tenet is the belief in the innate equality of all human beings. Thus, all humans have the same rights and responsibilities. If you look at it, the Bahá’í Faith is an all-encompassing one that recognizes the commonalities between all religions, so Baháʼí believes that all faiths have common spiritual goals too, especially since religions are ever-evolving.
World Religion Day timeline
1800s The Baha`i Faith is Established
In Persia, around 1844, the Bahá'í Faith is established by a mix of people from Christian, Jewish, and Zoroastrian religious roots.
1949 World Peace Through World Religion
The first event takes place in Portland, Maine, to establish the foundation of World Religion Day.
1950 World Religion Day is First Observed
As World Peace Through World Religion begins to spread across the U.S., the celebration morphs into World Religion Day.
1957 Bahá'í Leadership Passes on to a Group
Rather than passing on from individual to individual, the death of Shoghi Effendi leads to the faith leadership passing to the Universal House of Justice.
World Religion Day FAQs
How many religions are there in the world?
Many scholars estimate that there are approximately 4,200 different active religions in the world today.
How many countries celebrate World Religion Day?
World Religion Day is currently celebrated in over 80 countries around the globe.
Which religion has the most adherents?
Christianity tops the list, with a whopping 2,3 billion. Next comes Islam with 1,8 billion. Third on the list are those unaffiliated with any particular religion, at 1,2 billion.
How to Observe World Religion Day
Attend an interfaith event
Engage with other religions
Try out a different religious experience
Many different organizations hold interfaith events on this day, where people can get together and hear about the beliefs and philosophies held by others of different faiths. These events are great spaces for eminent speakers, writers, and spiritual leaders to share openly about what they subscribe to, and why.
World Religion Day provides the perfect opportunity for people to step out of their individual bubbles and engage with the beliefs and spiritual ideologies of others. It’s about dialogue and the freedom to both express and listen; most importantly, it’s a time to learn from each other. This day reminds us that religion does not have to be a taboo subject, and everyone has a unique story to tell.
Religion is often inextricably linked with culture, so why not experience the best of both by attending a religious event of some sort, outside of your own? Whether it is going to a mosque or temple, or celebrating a religious festival you are not familiar with, it’s a great way to make inroads into different community groups and build relationships.
5 Facts About World Religions You May Not Know
You name it, there’s a patron saint for it
Wicca is not an ancient religion
Mormons have limited beverage options
The “Qur’an” mentions Jesus more than Muhammad
Hindus can also be atheists
In Catholicism, there is a patron saint for nearly everything, including coffee, beekeepers, and headaches.
Though it sounds like it would be ancient, considering its roots in European fertility cults, Wicca was introduced in the 1950s.
Mormons are forbidden from drinking beverages like tea, coffee, or alcohol; soda, however, seems to be okay.
Though this is not a popularity contest, the “Qur’an” apparently mentions Jesus Christ five times more than Muhammad.
While Hinduism is a polytheistic religion, it is also possible to be a practicing Hindu and an atheist — the moral and ethical code remains the same.
Why World Religion Day is Important
It purports to unite people
Interfaith harmony
A chance to experience something different
We love any day that seeks to bring people together, irrespective of differences, and this day fits the bill exactly. Whatever one’s religious beliefs and culture, the longing for acceptance and unity will be a fundamentally human one that unites us already.
World Religion Day offers people across the globe a chance to get to know others of different religions better, and seeks to foster a better understanding of religious differences through peaceful means such as dialogue.
The various interfaith and religious events organized by communities around the world are an exciting opportunity and opening for people to immerse themselves in spiritual experiences different from what they know. And so much of it is cultural that we see it as a win-win.

The Week Ahead: January 13-19, 2025
Executive summary: this would be a tense, unpleasant week, even if the US weren’t having a drastic regime change next Monday. Patience and empathy will be tested. The more you have, the more you’ll need…?
Lunar Phases
Monday, January 13, 22:27 UTC - Full Moon, 24°00’ Cancer
The key phrases for the Full lunar phase are “culminate, fulfill, illumine, manifest;” and “pour all our energy and effort into our intentions.” We should think of it as protecting our intentions with full, fierce Mama Bear energy.
Friday, January 17, 17:35 UTC - Disseminating Moon, 12°52’ Virgo
The key phrases for the Disseminating lunar phase are “teach, share, communicate;” and “ease up on efforts with our intentions.” The temptation will be to go off (at length and in great detail) about every last harmful mistake. Do not.
Void of Course Moon
Tuesday, January 14, 04:46 UTC (Cancer) - 09:12 UTC (Leo)
Thursday, January 16, 04:10 UTC (Leo) - 16:46 UTC (Virgo)
Sunday, January 19, 02:01 UTC (Virgo) - 03:33 UTC (Libra)
Retrograde/Direct/Etc.
Pre-retrograde shadow: Juno/Scorpio, Vesta/Scorpio (starting Friday the 17th)
Retrograde: Mars/Cancer, Jupiter/Gemini, Uranus/Taurus
Post-retrograde shadow: Saturn/Pisces
Transiting Vesta enters her pre-retrograde shadow on Friday, January 17, 05:04 UTC, at 5°21’ Scorpio. Expect some new obsession to pop up.
Ingress
Sunday, January 19, 20:00 UTC - transiting Sun enters Aquarius
Aquarius season in this chickenshit (not brave) rerun (not new) world. New alliances, new ideas, listening to each other. It isn’t left-right, it’s top-down, and Aquarius can work with that. Problems occur when we don’t get off our butts and get to work (fixed), and when we listen to only one perspective (air).
Et Cetera
There are two Opportunity Periods this week:
Tuesday, January 14, 03:48 UTC - 09:12 UTC. “This dynamic OP is good for inspiration and insights.”
Sunday, January 19, 00:48 UTC - 03:01 UTC. “A short period of productive time to get organized.”
Really tough aspects coming up, Monday through Saturday:
Mars Rx/Cancer semi-square Jupiter Rx/Gemini
Sun/Capricorn square Eris/Aries
Venus/Pisces sesquiquad Mars/Cancer
Venus/Pisces square Jupiter Rx/Gemini
Sun/Capricorn opposite Mars Rx/Cancer
Sun/Capricorn sesquiquad Jupiter Rx/Gemini
Juno/Scorpio opposite Uranus Rx/Taurus
Pallas/Capricorn square Eris/Aries
Only one of these involve fixed signs, so I think ultimately most of the issues aren’t long-lasting - just unpleasant to have to go through.
On Sunday the 19th, Mercury/Capricorn will sextile that Venus/Saturn conjunction. We can use that (if we make the choice to do so, it’s a sextile) - find some quiet time to make sense of things. There are little respites here and there through the week, and we can enjoy them - save the (over)thinking for Sunday.
(Playing around with how I want to do things, here, moving forward - if you absolutely hate something, or love something, let me know.)
