Here's my takes on Kanata's siblings; Benitsuru and Hamato Ando.

First sprites are how they looked like around the time Sdra2 takes place while the second one is Beni at 20 years old while her brother is 41

Hamato is the one that looks the most like their father, he also got Hikaru's kind nature and so tends to want to help whenever he can on whatever he can. He loves his family a whole lot and would drop everything he's doing to go help them, which is what he did when Beni needed him during and after the tragedy.

She was only a baby when that mess started and if it wasn't for their mother hiding her away in their house she definitely wouldn't have survived after the despairs broke in. While Mrs.Ando was dead by the time Hikaru was able to make it back to their house, he found Benitsuru after a bit of searching and from there on out he tried to find his other kid's whereabouts. After they reunited with Hamato (who was looking for them as much as they were looking for him) Hikaru would ask him to stay behind taking care of Beni while he looked for Kanata.

This is what happened when he went to that facility in chapter 6.5 and afterwards Hamato and Benitsuru were brought to the Kisaragi foundation by a group of foundation personel.

Since their father started working as the place's doctor he became very busy, so Hamato spent the next couple years raising his little sister, which obviously led to them becoming super close to one another. Beni would ask him about how their mother and sister were like, how the world was before and generally a lot of other random stuff since she loved hearing tell these stories of the past to her.

It was from hearing her brother and the survivors from the proto killing game speak of Kanata that Beni development a strong admiration for her late sister, which in turn made her sad that she couldn't remember her much. It was then that Beni decided she wanted to be like Kanata when she grows up, even if her main interest was studying world history and not medicine.

When she was about 7 and could look after herself a bit more she started following her father around the foundation and watching him work, meanwhile Hikaru urged Hamato to take some time to focus himself and get back on his studies so that he could hopefully still graduate when things go back to normal (He was an architecture major in college when the tragedy happened).

It was from hanging around Hikaru that Beni started to grow close to her father, since with everything that happened the two didn't know each other very much. It was also there that she ended up meeting Akira, since her mother would bring her to Hikaru for health check ups. While she didn't view Akira as a friend right away, the two became super close and eventually became a couple.

As an adult, Benitsuru works as a doctor's assistant alongside her dad at the Kisaragi foundation. While Hamato went on to work on big projects to rebuild houses and towns that were destroyed during the tragedy.

Today at work, a resident's mother calls the group’s number to schedule a visit. It went like this:
