About My Blog:
Currently obsessed with Disco Elysium and The Terror! I post a lot of theories and thoughts about my version of the characters from the game. My favorite character is unapologetically Jean, but Harry, Kim, and Judit all compete for the top faves spot. I write a lot of headcanons about them, their backstories, and future plot events!!
From Terror, my favorite is 100% Crozier, but I like Goodsir and Silna and Blanky and Bridgens and Jopson as well. Also the boats.
NOTE: i post sexual shit, gore, and other r / x rated heavy topics. my stories and ocs are r / x rated. if you don't like super heavy topics, dead dove do not eat, whump, gore, violence, suicide, stuff that deals with mental illness problems, don't follow.
my ask box is always open!!!

Karaoke night with Jake (feat. his cat Viejita)
I have no explanation for this, I just started after doing a silly question to a friend 😂
If you’re curious, songs are in order:
La gata bajo la lluvia - Rocío Dúrcal
100 años - Pedro Infante
Simplemente amigos - Ana Gabriel
Un millón de primaveras - Vicente Fernández
You can decide if Jake got drunk for this 😂
I just noticed all of them are about unrequited love 😆 Well, those are the best ones to pick for a karaoke night(?
Now, yeah yeah, I included some mexican ones, sorry not sorry, can you blame me? 👉👈
Bonus, taking advantage of the sketches already done🤣:

Don Vicente Fernández, also known as "El Charro de Huentitán" and the "King of Rancheras" is present in more than just your Mexican parents' vinyl collection. Throughout his career, Chente, as he is lovingly referred to by his fans, has distinguished himself by taking Mexican music around the world throwing the longest concerts on the most renowned stages — making a name not only for himself but also for the popular love ballads and ranchera music that characterize México.
Five years after he announced his farewell from the stage, his songs continue to be an inspiration to people in Latin American countries, México and the U.S., shaping cultures and musical tastes as his rancheras cast stories of sorrow, hope, love and especially Mexican pride for all to enjoy.
As the world waits on news of his recovery after a fall that left him in critical condition this week, we tell you a little bit about the Mexican mariachi icon that has forever left his mark in the music scene in the U.S.
A Mexican legend celebrated in the US
Fernández was born in 1940 in a town called Huentitán El Alto, in the state of Jalisco.
His career in music started at an early age, winning talent shows and serenading young women alongside the mariachis of his town. As soon as he got the green light from CBS México, now known as Sony Music, in 1966, he hit the ground running and hasn't stopped since.
Chente recorded more than 100 albums, sold over 70 million copies, starred in 34 films in Mexican cinema and recorded more than 300 songs. He went on to produce great hits like "Volver, Volver," "Por Tu Maldito Amor," "Hermoso Cariño" and "El Rey," a song that very much does justice to his moniker as King of Rancheras.
But the kid from Huentitán El Alto never forgets that all he has achieved is thanks to those who have supported him: his family, his studio and, of course, his fans.
“As long as you don't stop clapping, your Chente doesn't stop singing," he would tell his fans while he belted out his songs on stage. True to his word, he was known for having concerts that lasted at least 4 hours.
He did just that in 2016 when he said his goodbye to the stage during a free farewell concert in México City at Azteca Stadium. After that he retired to his home, a ranch called Los Tres Potrillos, just outside of Guadalajara. He hasn't stopped composing music though.
Chente has received countless honors, especially as his music made its way to the U.S.
He was awarded the Mr. Amigo Review Award in Brownsville, Texas, in 1977. In 1982, he received the keys to San Antonio, Texas, from then-Mayor Henry Cisneros. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1998 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Billboard magazine.
In the fall of 1999, Fernández toured promoting his new CD, “Eternamente” in which he paid tribute to the distinguished group “Los Dandys” from Mexico. That year, Fernández was nominated for the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award at the Latin Rhythm Awards at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles.
In 2000, Fernández performed “Cielito Lindo” at the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia.
Chente stayed on the charts for many years, with two albums of his greatest hits. "Historia de un ídolo Volumen I," a 17-song album released in 2000, included some of his hits like “Lástima que Seas Ajena," “Me Voy a Quitar de en Medio” and “Nos Estorbó la Ropa.”
Thanks to these productions he received the RIAA Double Platinum certification.
He also received the Billboard Latin Music Award for Greatest Hits Album of the Year for "Historia de un ídolo Volumen II," presented in 2002, containing hits “El Rey," “De Qué Manera te Olvido” and “Volver, Volver."
That same year, he again achieved success with his single “El Ayudante” from his album “Más con el Número Uno."
Also in 2001, Fernández and his son Alejandro Fernández appeared on the “Lazos Invencibles” tour, the first tour they had done together in eight years. At the same time, Vicente Fernández Jr., another of Fernández's sons, presented his first album with norteño themes entitled “El Mayor de los Potrillos," influenced by his father's career.
In September 2002, he was honored as Person of the Year by the Latin Recording Academy for his artistic achievements and for his donation to the National Scholarship Fund for Hispanics. He also helps his followers who live in the countryside, performing for free at fairs in small Mexican towns.
In 2006, after three years without recording, Fernández released the album “La Tragedia del Vaquero,” a studio album with 14 unreleased songs — a true gem in the repertoire of Mexican mariachi music.
From that production came hits such as "Lejos de mi Tierra," "La Tragedia del Vaquero" and "Qué Chulada de Mujer." The song "La Tragedia del Vaquero” was certified Platinum in the United States for its high sales.
In 2007, Chente celebrated the first 40 years of his artistic career with one of the most successful tours in the history of any Spanish-speaking artist in the United States.
In addition, his next album, “Para Siempre,” was certified as a Diamond Plus Gold Record in México and six Platinum Records in the United States.
This album managed to transcend in the musical field, being worthy of a Diamond recognition for more than 500,000 copies sold in México alone, Diamond Record in Colombia, and special recognition for more than 1.5 million copies sold internationally. In the United States, the album is considered the best-selling Latin album of 2008.
Chente has won three Grammys. One in 2010 for Best Regional Mexican Album “Necesito de Ti.” Another in 2015 for the same category. And finally, in 2017, the recording of his final performance on stage in 2016, titled “Un Azteca en el Azteca (En Vivo),” landed him his most recent Grammy.
From 1989 to 2014, he was awarded eight Latin Grammys, 14 Premios Lo Nuestro awards and a handful of Billboard awards.

Digimon Adventure: 2020 – Episode 43: Clash, The King Of Digimon (Review)
Thoughts on the forty-third episode of the Digimon Adventure reboot series.
This episode was super fun! It was utterly ridiculous - but I loved it a lot! x)
Thanks, narration, for reminding me that this series actually has a plot! But I’m sure the episode will be filler again and make me forget. Remind me again next episode! :)
Tailmon informs us the children are lost. This is very convenient for filler plot shenanigans to happen. What else is new? XD;
I don’t remember Etemon being this fun, lol. And ngl, I dig his music. XD;
And now Etemon has a rival in the form of a YMCA instructor named Volcamon! He’s a lot of fun, too. XD;
OMG Mimi continues to be such a blessing. “Mimigo” is one of my favourite phrases from the series, now. XD;
Everyone needs a friend like Mimi, who doesn’t care about bricking your tablet. She just gets shit done! :D
The dog skidded to a stop and we’re reminded that Taichi actually does have a younger sister and that he actually does care about her! He was holding onto her as they fell. The Yagami siblings’ connection and dynamic is so diluted and almost non-existent in this reboot . . .
Agumon burning Taichi’s hair = ICONIC. Though I don’t know how he didn’t die from it, but hey. It made me laugh! It’s like 99% of the Digimon fandom roasting Taichi in the reboot. :)
LMAO Palmon’s having a bad hair day from Etemon and Volcamon’s music battle. XD; It’s weirdly affecting all the Digimon and it’s HILARIOUS.
Tailmon chasing after one of Gomamon’s marching fishes is also iconic, loool.
FAT BALLOON PATAMON IS BOTH CUTE AND HILARIOUS. <3
Yamato finds Gabumon’s discarded fur, and tries to find his naked partner throughout the rest of the episode, in the background, just searching and calling out his name. Very fun gag! XD
OMG Koushirou’s expression at Tentomon being a useless gangsta, LMAO.
This episode gave us a shot of both Sora and Yamato’s behinds . . . Sorato is happening, guys, 100% confirmed. (If you take this comment seriously, that’s not my problem. :P)
Takeru: “Palmon ate Patamon . . .” LMAO!!!
Mimi is not only pretty, but she’s smart, too! I love her. What a Goddess. uwu
Palmon evolves . . . into Ponchomon! I wasn’t expecting this! I needed Google’s help to understand this evolution, because I know jack shit about the actual Digimon and their evolutions, etc. :D So it’s an armour evolution of Patamon, using the Digi-Egg of Sincerity . . . which I guess the writers of the reboot figured having Palmon “eat” Patamon during a strange music thing was enough to justify this. XD; Well, it didn’t bother me! Ponchomon is just a Mexican Togemon. :P
Mimi: “Mucho amigo jalapeño!” LMAO. I can’t. XD;
Wow that Dim card from last episode was a really helpful and convenient find, wasn’t it!? :P
The episode ends with Etemon and Volcamon having a crush on the plant that beat them up . . . lol. Abusive relationships are fine to promote to kids, I guess? Oh Toei. :P
I think this has to be my favourite filler episode of the reboot! XD;
But on a bit of a serious note, there’s 23 episodes left - and the series just gave Mimi an alternate evolution like Taichi.
One, why did Yamato not get his Mega and CresGarurumon first? Is Mimi the real secondary protagonist of the series? (Yes. She even deserves to be the actual protag over Taichi, tbh.)
Two, does this mean all the kids will get alternate evolutions as well, in addition to their Megas?
That’s one episode per evolution, with two evolutions to do for most of the kids, and . . . 23 episodes left.
Uh.
Toei, you are really rushing the finale here! :3
#digimon#digimon adventure#digimon adventure:#digimon adventure 2020#mimi tachikawa#taichi yagami#yamato ishida#sora takenouchi#review#screenshots#spoilers#who doesn't love a fun filler episode?#:D

So, I’m in my 20s. I’m 22 right now but I just don’t feel like I have any direction in my life. I just got a new job at a hospital as a patient transporter and I’m excited about that. I wanna save my money there, but I don’t know what I wanna use it for. I kind of wanna take a small course in something and get a better job, but I also just wanna move away from where I live, because it’s not a good area and not good for me mentally or emotionally. I just don’t know what to do, and I’m getting tired of feeling frustrated and directionless. What are your thoughts? I love hearing from you. You always give the most thoughtful and wise advice. Thank you Christina.
I think it’s totally normal to feel directionless at 22. You’re still figuring out who you are and what you like and what you don’t like and what you want when you’re 22, so I think it makes sense that you’re not sure what your passion is yet. It does sound like you’ve figured out that you want to save money and move away, which seems like a really great goal to me. As far as classes go, Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/) has about 3000 classes that you can audit for free, and a lot of universities post their classes on YouTube as well. You don’t necessarily need to pay money in order to gain the skills to get a better job.
In terms of the idea of passion more generally, here’s what I think. I’ve talked about this before here with regard to finding a career, so apologies to anyone who’s seen my thoughts on this before.
First, I would look into the Japanese concept of ikigai- your “reason for being”.
When searching for your ikigai, I would suggest making a list (no matter how short), of the things you love, the things you’re good at, the things the world needs, and the things you can be paid for. Look for overlaps in each category, and try your best to think creatively about how you can combine the different categories. For example, maybe you love movies, you think the world needs to know about global warming, and you’re good at organization. Your ikigai in that case might be to be a coordinator on documentaries that focus on global warming. It’s a job that pays pretty well, and also incorporates the other sections on your list, so it’s likely to feel fulfilling. For help figuring out what your strengths might be, I like the VIA Character Strengths Survey. It’s not methodologically perfect, but I think it can help to point you in the right direction, or at least give you a set of options to consider when thinking about what your strengths might be.
Moving away from ikigai, there’s this story that I think about a lot. One of my great uncles told it to me, and I always assumed it was a story from his life until one day I discovered it was actually a chain email called The Parable of the Mexican Fisherman and the Banker. I still think about it a lot, though, and it’s shaped the way I view work, so maybe it will be useful to you as well. It goes like this:
An American investment banker was taking a much-needed vacation in a small coastal Mexican village (in my uncle’s story, the fisherman is from Kalymnos and he dives for sponges) when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. The boat had several large, fresh fish in it.
The investment banker was impressed by the quality of the fish and asked the Mexican how long it took to catch them. The Mexican replied, “Only a little while.” The banker then asked why he didn’t stay out longer and catch more fish?
The Mexican fisherman replied he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs.
The American then asked, “But what do you do with the rest of your time?”
The Mexican fisherman replied, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos: I have a full and busy life, señor.”
The investment banker scoffed, “I am an Ivy League MBA (in my family the school is always Harvard), and I could help you. You could spend more time fishing and with the proceeds buy a bigger boat, and with the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats until eventually, you would have a whole fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to the middleman you could sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You could control the product, processing and distribution.”
Then he added, “Of course, you would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City where you would run your growing enterprise.”
The Mexican fisherman asked, “But señor, how long will this all take?”
To which the American replied, “15–20 years.”
“But what then?” asked the Mexican.
The American laughed and said, “That’s the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You could make millions.”
“Millions, señor? Then what?”
To which the investment banker replied, “Then you would retire. You could move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.”
The question that this story prompts for me is, if you had unlimited time and resources, what kind of life would you lead? Where would you live? What would you spend your time doing? Who would you be with? Would you have pets? Kids? What would your daily routine look like? Maybe the answer for you isn’t a university degree or an office job. Maybe it’s not millions. Maybe it’s diving for sponges on a Greek island or being a fisherman in Mexico. I think it can be helpful to put together an image of that perfect life and then try to reverse engineer the best way of getting there.
I would also think about the opposite- what kind of life could you absolutely not stand living? Knowing what your “hard nos” can help you to narrow down the potential field of options. For example, my hard nos include anything to do with venipuncture, jobs that require me to be organized on behalf of other people, anything that’s heavy on performing/public speaking, jobs where people have high expectations of me (incidentally, this is the reason I’m not a therapist), and any environment that wants me to work more than 40 hours a week. For some people, all of those are totally doable, but for me they’re not, and that’s okay. There’s no reason to spend your life doing things that make you miserable.
The last thing I’m going to suggest is the CareerExplorer quiz. I like this quiz in particular for a few reasons. First, it’s a really comprehensive test, and so I think it can help you find the language to describe what you’re going through, what your hard yesses and hard nos are, and what you need in a work setting. Even if the answers the test gives aren’t perfect, I think it provides a framework to think about career options because of the questions it asks. The other reason I really like this test is because so far it’s been 100% correct for everyone I know, even those with more obscure careers, so it seems to be more exact than other career aptitude tests out there. And the user interface is really nice as well, which is a bonus.
Hopefully all of this can help you begin to think about what you want and how you might be able to achieve it. And I’m always here to help if you want to run ideas by me :)

WELCOME TO NEW YORK, ELIAS.
Elias Salazar is a 34 year old local residing in Queens. He is a NFL player who is known for being reckless, hot headed, occasionally apathetic, protective to the point of stupid, and doesn’t always follow through. Click read more to discover more about this character! Trigger Warnings: Alcohol abuse, child neglect.
• • • CHARACTER BASICS
Character Full Name: Elias Santiago Salazar. Nickname(s): Sal, Salazar, 33 - never Elias, though. Age: 34. Birthday: November 3rd. Occupation: Full Back for the New York Giants. Birthplace: South Padre Island, TX. Borough: Queens. Citizen Type: Local. Ethnicity: Mexican. Nationality: American.
• • • IDENTITY + HEALTH
Gender: Cisgender Male. Pronouns: He | Him. Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual. Romantic Orientation: Heteroromantic. Relationship Status: Single. Face Claim: Michael Trevino. Hair Color: Brown. Eye Color: Brown. Distinguishing Features: He’s typically bruised up in some way - comes with the territory of being in the NFL. He’s also got a fair amount of scars from the game and because of past bar fights. Sal also usually has a cocky grin on his face because he’s that person. Personal Style: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Physical Health: He’s had a few knee injuries while playing, so he has to be careful. Sal also doesn’t feed himself well and drinks way too much alcohol. Mental Health: Just a few low grade abandonment issues from his parents.
• • • FAMILY
Parents: Rosalia Salazar (allegedly) & his father is unknown. He has no idea what’s currently going on with his mother. Relationship with Parents: His relationship with his parents is considered rocky at best. His mother has never been reliable in the slightest. She’s been excellent at dropping in and out and leaving her sons to take care of themselves. She’s honestly only shown up when she wanted money. That habit started when he was younger, and it even continues to this day. He hadn’t seen her in years when he was drafted, and then she showed up out of the blue again. Sal pretty much told her to buzz off. As for his father, Sal’s never known who he was, and he really doesn’t care to find out. His older brother knows, but their dad took off while Sal was pregnant, and he decided very quickly that he didn’t want to know the man who didn’t want to know him. Siblings: One older brother - potentially others. He can’t be too sure with a MIA father. Relationship with Siblings: Sal’s older brother is the only family he’s ever been able to count on. With a dad who left and a flakey mother, the Salazar boys ever only had each other. His brother practically raised him (so that’s why Sal jokes that he ended up so poorly), and he’s the only reason why he got into the NFL. His brother pushed him when he realized that Sal had the ability to go far. It’s weird not living in the same city as him, but his brother is back home in South Padre Island, and Sal had to move to New York. He’s definitely tried convincing him to make the move, though. Children: None that he’s aware of. Relationship with Children: N/A. Pets: A German Shepherd/Pitbull mix named Amigo.
• • • PERSONALITY + MUSIC
MBTI: ISTP. Moral Alignment: Chaotic Good. Zodiac: Scorpio. Hogwarts House: Gryffindor. Alter Ego: Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights. Personality Traits: Reckless, hot headed, occasionally doesn't give a shit about a lot of things if he's in a mood, depends a little too much on alcohol to cope, protective to the point of stupid, commits to things and then doesn't follow through if he realizes he doesn't want to do it in the moment, will constantly tease you about things. Playlist: Sal’s favorite songs. Overcome - Better than Ezra Howlin’ for You - The Black Keys I Wanna Be Sedated - Ramones Thunder / Young, Dumb, & Broke - Imagine Dragons, Khalid Venom - Aaron Taos King - SAINT PHNX Gooey - Glass Animals What I Got - Sublime This Is America - Childish Gambino Paper Planes - M.I.A. Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers American Teen - Khalid You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid - The Offspring Pray For Me - The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea - Fall Out Boy Hypnotize - The Notorious B.I.G. Buddy Holly - Weezer Santeria - Sublime When I Come Around - Green Day When You Die - MGMT
• • • WANTED PLOTS
Sal is in need of friends! He’s a little bit of a hot mess, so he would have trash friends and also friends who are well versed in saying “Sal, no.” You have to be able to handle his occasionally shitty tendencies, but there are some positives to being his friend. He would 100% go to jail for you, go to the ends of the earth, pick a fight, defend your honor - quite a lot, in truth. He’s a pretty damn good wing man, will defend your reputation to everyone he comes around, and will remember your birthday and probably get you a decent gift. He will spend the night in jail so you don't have to (although less since he joined the giants - let's just avoid jail time if possible, y'all), be a fabulous coach if you need to get better at something (especially if it's athletic), can cheer you up if you're down, and will remember your drink order (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The only catch is that considering his abandonment issues, it takes awhile for someone to become truly close to him beyond a superficial level.
Although his family is few and far between, Sal does have another family in his teammates. Sal plays on the New York Giants, and he’d love to have some teammates around if anyone is interested! Or even people who work for/with the team, but aren’t actually on the team. He spends a lot of time when it comes to football, whether it be working out, practicing, or figure out ways to get better. Football has been one of the few constants in his life, and he has no desire to give it up. He tries to be the best teammate he can be.
Abandonment issues and commitment issues go hand in hand. Sal would have a ton of messy romances in his past. He’s capable of settling down for the right person, but most of his history isn’t with the right person. Truthfully, his past romances are a lot of brief relationships, or a few longer relationships where there was definitely infidelity - on his side or even both ways. I imagine he’s got at least one that he goes back and forth with (he’s inspired off of Tim Riggins from FNL, so he definitely needs his off + on drama with a Tyra type lmao), but ultimately, his list of exes should be long. There’s also probably been several “Oh yeah, I’ll totally call you” after a brief encounter that doesn’t happen.
• • • THE PLAYER
Elias Salazar is played by Paige. She is 29 years old and in the CST timezone. Please be mindful of their triggers: incest, rape, student x teacher.

as someone who is technically catholic (but idk about my faith being 100% there) i can say that when i was first introduced to christian rock i was pretty repulsed. and im also a band nerd who likes music theory and such, so to say this music was bland is saying it on multiple levels.
like damn it’s just so weird. also im mexican catholic, so like our music pops off in church sometimes if mis amigos know what i’m talking about. that’s why i was so S H O O K
the point is is that i was really spooked when i listened to mundane christian rock for the first time, and the stuff people who wrote stuff above me is very interesting and good to read about!
Yall ever heard white church music? Christian rock is one of the most gratingly generic and repetitive genres of music out there by a mile. It sucks so fucking bad. I am talking about this now because someone is sitting in front of the hospital and blaring “how great? Is our god?” As loud as the speakers in his truck can handle

Day 153 – Greenville and dinner with A
We touched down in Chicago in the early morning. There were some peculiar sights. As we were deplaning, we were met by several plain clothed men, who were checking passports. As soon as they saw our blue passports, they waved us through. We did not have to show our health attestations or negative COVID tests. This was a bit surprising.
On our way to passport control, we passed a group of more than 100 people in wheelchairs being cordoned off. They appear to have gotten off a flight from India and it looked like they were going to be quarantined, though we are not sure where.
We were surprised that most people from our plane were going to the green card holder / ESTA line. Only a few people seemed to be going to the US citizens line, so we got through very quickly. While the very serious looking passport control guy was looking at our passports, S joked that his hair was a lot shorter back then. He joked back that J’s hair was also a lot darker back then. He did this with a completely deadpan expression. It was hilarious.
We grabbed our bags, which came off quickly, and headed to baggage recheck. This was just a lady standing next to a belt. We had to take a shuttle bus from the international arrivals terminal to the main American terminal. We made a beeline for the Admirals Club lounge. The international lounge was shut, so we headed to the domestic lounge. J was hankering for some American fast food, so she left S at the lounge and headed to McDonald’s. She learned that what used to be a $1.99 breakfast meal is now a $10 breakfast meal.
Our layover was pretty short, so before we knew it, we had to board our plane for Charlotte. The domestic flight seemed a lot more draconian than we remembered. J got asked to put her mask on between sips of her drink. The flight attendant seemed to be pretty stroppy and preferred sitting on her flight attendant chair looking at her phone to actually serving passengers. We were surprised that no snacks were offered in First Class.
Once we landed in Charlotte, we had a bit of a faff finding our luggage as the baggage collection system isn’t very straightforward. After we found our bags, we met our driver. He had a Lincoln Towncar in which he was able to fit all of our bags in the trunk. We had a comfortable drive to Greenville and checked into our room at the Hyatt. It is a very oddly laid out room, but has enough space for us. It was clear the room had not been occupied for a while as the air conditioner was billowing out hot air and the phones were broken.
Ashley met us a short while later. She took us on a quick driving tour of central Greenville. We then headed to a very early dinner at Willy Taco, a Mexican restaurant. We sat outside and had tacos and an amazing dish called the ‘Tres Amigos’. This was thin corn chips with salsa, queso and guacamole dips. The queso was incredible. The portion sizes were so generous that S could not finish his second taco because he had filled up on chips and dip. J also struggled to finish her salad. We had a lot of fun catching up with A and talking about her plans for her new house. We headed back to the hotel early as A has to teach school in the morning.

Anywho. Here are some PJO AU tid bits you might find interesting:
- Héctor is the son of Orpheus, legendary musician y poet of Greek mythology. - Yes, he is Mexican af and I’ll fight to the death to defend my boy. - He chose a guitar instead of a harp, finding the idea of a harp to be outdated ( like he now is) and less suited for the music in his heart. - He, like his father, has the ability to charm others through poetry and song, though he cannot charm everyone. While Orpheus was able to plead his case to the Dead, Héctor cannot always reach every soul. - He doesn’t remember much about his parents, growing up as an orphan. - Orpheus’s failure to retrieve Eurydice from the Land of the Dead intrigues Héctor and he vaguely wonders if his father is reunited with her in the Land of the Dead. - During his boyhood, he meets another musician and they grow close. Through the years, they remain together and play for the people of their small town. Dreaming of seeing a city and hearing the music the rest of the world has to offer, he agrees to travel with his friend. During their journey, however, Héctor finds that he yearns for home and wishes to return- go back to where the music grows. He looks back at his life in their small town and the night he decides to turn back, he is murdered. - His guitar is stolen away from him ( his amigo thinking that it was the instrument that held the power of charm) and he arrives in the Land of the Dead. - Like his father, he has become somewhat cursed: he cannot leave the Land of the Dead, no matter how hard he tries until someone comes for him. - Once he returns to the Land of the Living, he is able to transcend the boundaries between the two realms, but only on Día de los Muertos. - He aches for his precious guitar and cries for the homesick pain he feels. His wailing tunes catch the attention of other skeletons and soon, his pain charms the souls around him into helping him ease into living through death. - Héctor keeps his lineage a secret in hopes that he doesn’t ruin his chances to be saved. - He’s like over 100 years old, having been stuck as a skeleton in the Land of the Dead for so long. - Skeletal tattoos decorate tan skin when he returns to the Land of the Living and the etched designs on his face carry over between realms. - I like to think he met Imelda at some point and fell in love with her, thus leading him to break many hearts by denying those charmed by his music ( including his amigo). The love he feels for Imelda mirrors the intense love Orpheus felt for Eurydice. Héctor mourns the loss of contact.
Thanks for coming to my info dump.
