Aftermath.

It was an unfortunate truth of reality that heroes were oftentimes a reactive force. They could only respond to what they knew about.

So whenever the heroes uncovered an illegal lab, it typically had a history. Experiments that had been performed there already. Horrors no one in their right mind would want to bear witness to.

But someone had to go through all those records left behind. To risk the worst of humanity’s crimes in search of any potential clues. Often, they found little that was useful. Maybe some closure for the families of the missing, at most. But sometimes, sometimes they did find things. Their work could save lives.

That didn’t change the fact that few in their departments lasted long, and even fewer could ever sleep soundly.

The man took a deep breath and attempted to steel himself. He knew it wouldn’t help.

He clicked on the file anyway.

Okay if you haven't yet, and you have Netflix/Paramount+, consider giving "School Spirits" a chance.

It looks like a silly little cheesy teenage ghosts show, I put it on for background noise, and then got totally engrossed in the mystery. It's VERY well written, very well filmed, the mystery was GREAT and the payoff at the end is also great.

One of the things majorly lacking in shows I've recently tried to watch is that they try to do a twist/reveal at the end that comes out of nowhere. They don't want you to guess what they're doing. This show doesn't do that. This show wants you to guess. They give you seven different mysteries and enough clues to guess (most of) what is going on, so that when you get the final puzzle piece to any given mystery, it feels GREAT.

The story premise is this: a teenager in hs wakes up as a ghost in the hs, and doesn't remember how she died, and with the help of the other ghosts, tries to solve the mystery of her own death.

Simple premise. BEAUTIFULLY executed. Not all of the questions that arise get answered, but the main one (what she doesn't remember) gets solved by the end of the season, leaving the "why/how and what comes next" to be carried to the next season. It does a cliffhanger RIGHT. But now I desperately want to see the second season (which I believe has been approved, so it's a matter of waiting).

So pretty please, if you're looking for something to do and a great, engaging lil mystery to watch, consider! School Spirits!!

I was wondering about the Kageyama parents being so cool about their 10 year old kid regularly going to be mentored at a small shady business by someone just old enough to be referred to as an adult when Mob first met Reigen but then I wondered how much they saw. They have to know Ritsu got injured that’s for certain, I dunno whether they knew it was Mob who caused it or not. So I wonder whether they saw their little boy start disappearing, looking at himself with fear. This close to losing their baby to a world beyond their comprehension. And then if they saw him come home from that first time he stopped by the office, more himself than he’d been in a while. Pulled back and still able to sit with them at the dinner table like always.

I can't believe one moment they did didn't change stuff about Silco & Vander's relationship between season 1 & 2 because why the hell was he suggesting that Silco is way worse than enforcers in season 1 when the story in season 2 is apparently Vander got mad that Felicia died and tried to bloody assassinate Silco who then hid away for years in the under-undercity. There's missing lore there. Like sorry Silco I think they lowkey should have cooked a good reason why Vander tried to kill you, like idk, very willfully getting Felicia killed as part of some crazed plan against topside which Vander would discover in horrified shock. Otherwise, commit to Vander having done this deeply ugly thing to his friend/lover and yet still coming out as the good guy for some reason while Silco went into hiding ; Vander truly having a monster in him, a very unstable dark side to him. The werewolf metaphor would come in handy i guess.
