Was not expecting her to want to get closer to the big scary monster thing outside our car 😂

After spilling the entire arctic ocean in his pen, escaping it 3 times while I tried to soak it up in insufficient amounts of towel and being a complete menace who further destroyed my couch and peed on my rug, all within a few hours, he is now a perfect baby angel again ❤

He also gets bonus points for looking like a porcupine rn lol.

in a few days, my baby will be the size of a kumquat

which is so much bigger than his current size of a grape

it seems to be going by so fast this time, and i am lucky to be home to witness every moment slowly

tomorrow i meet with the midwife and hopefully hear a heartbeat

i keep telling myself that i will only gain what the baby needs,

and i will give birth at the perfect time,

and it will flow through me like water,

and i will be perfect at the art of surrender.

omg i have been so stressed out about this boy being cryptorchid but i just checked him and he clearly has both testicles descended 😭 thank god!!!!! his family wants to try shows and tbh it would be an enormous shame for a dog this sweet and beautiful to be lost to the gene pool.

Three days after bringing Lu home, I took him to the vet for a check-up and his second set of puppy shots. He did very well and was the darling of the clinic ❤️

He does have a crate for traveling but I let him rest in his sling before moving him over. The sling is so I can carry him around and socialize him without him having to touch the floor.

Afterwards, he was napping when I set him on the couch while I grabbed a treat for him and he leapt! He hit the ground and started to hysterically cry 😭 I cradled him close, sobbing myself, and called the vet again - convinced he'd somehow injured a leg. TW for a sad, limping puppy below.

They had an urgent care slot open so he was in within two hours. The long and short of it was... We're both equally dramatic 😅 he was 100% fine. In fact, he was scampering around the clinic and chasing balls by the time we left.

The doctor was incredibly kind and walked me through everything after they examined him and determined his shoulder was just sore from his vaccines and the pain from jumping had startled him. My crying probably didn't help either. They recommended against x-rays unless he suddenly started limping again (apparently they're difficult to read on such a young puppy) and insisted I could come back in if anything developed. They gave him some puppy pain meds and lots of treats.

An intro post to my new puppy, Zinnia. She's a 12 week old Miniature American Shepherd (think mini Aussie). I picked her up 2 weeks ago and was definitely not prepared for a puppy. (Haven't had a puppy since I was a small kid.)

We have a lot to work on, but I love her and am excited to see how life will go with her in it.

so i’m a college student (graduating next semester) and brosia and i just moved back to my parents house for winter recess. my father doesn’t allow dogs upstairs so we have to sleep in the living room. he gets up for the day at 4 am and sits in the living room. my mother stays up until 11 pm watching tv in the same living room. brosia wakes up to go out every night at 2 am. can someone explain to me how im supposed to sleep for the next month? feeling pretty hopeless rn, and this is def not good for her development either 💔

At ten weeks, I made the drive to go pick up Lu and cried immediately upon seeing him 😭 he was so little and precious. It was love at first sight. He did so well on the drive, mostly sleeping, until we got home and he got to settle in his playpen for some quiet time.
