sorry. i didn't know what else to put

i've been thinking about 707 ever since i read his story a month ago.. T.T

first off, kudos to cael for being so precise with his predictions. he gave exact coordinates at a specific time to ensure that MC would be safe from the hands of the empire. the catch? it was done with the confidence that his bionic clone would act exactly as he predicted. cael would never put MC under risk without having a hold on the entire situation, all things considered. who knows how long he waited until there was a 100% chance of safety?

what if 707 were to act out of the ordinary? to diverge from the path set for him, both as a product from the empire and as "cael" himself? what if he went against expectations and turned MC in? so many "what ifs", and yet cael chose this one.

now onto my baby boy 707. :) imagine living as someone else's shadow, and you don't even know whose. his actions are not his own, nor will they ever be. the one person he thought understood him refuses to paint him— even if he has the face of her love, the same voice, mannerisms, figure, intonations.. he will never truly be cael, although he is a bionic copy. if he cannot be himself as an individual, and he cannot be the person he was modeled after, what place is there for him in the world?

Ed blinked, and stared up at Alan, uncertain what to make of that tone, but somehow managing to meet Alan's eyes despite wanting to look anywhere but.

He tried again and failed again to pull himself together, sniffling quietly. The mention of Alan's sons, of being compared to them, made Ed feel nauseous and short of breath. He could almost feel a hand curling around his chest, squeezing him. Restraining him. Controlling him. "I--I'm not your son," he said.

A part of Ed wished he could want to be Alan's son, but the thought of being anyone's son made him want to turn tail and run.

He flinched at Alan's touch at first, not expecting it, but then all but melted under it. It was... nice. Gentle. Something his mother might have done when he was little, before his father returned from prison, but if she ever did, he didn't remember.

Alan was, for better or worse, right about one thing. Ed was struggling. He needed help, and Ed had nobody else to turn to. He may barely trust Alan, but he couldn't go to anyone on the development team for help--he was their boss--and he trusted everyone else on the board less.

Ed took a deep breath. He didn't like talking about his personal life, and the break room was far too open. He didn't like the idea of anyone walking in on that conversation. "I... Okay. Can--can we go back though. I just... not here. Please."

He stared at the cold cup of tea in front of him, and stuffed his hands in his pockets, struggling not to fidget. He'd almost rather trade his father for Alan, except the thought of having anyone fill that role made him feel like he was suffocating.

Alan frowned at that, unsure how to react. He would put a hand on his shoulder, like he did with Sam, but he didn't know Ed as well and wasn't sure if physical touch would make this worse. He'd offer to get warm tea, but something told him Ed needed to talk about this.

"I'm sorry," he said softly, "you deserve better."

What else could he say? He clasped his hands together, mulling over a million things.

summer didn't make this mess. summer knew how to clean up her mess. whoever left a pool of blood in the parking lot of the bar clearly didn't. she stared down at it with cold indifference, and only vaguely wondered of its source. despite how often she found herself covered in blood, she didn't like the scent of it. despite how much she enjoyed killing, she still hadn't gotten used to that. and to leave a big pool of evidence? what an amateur! the toe of her shoe dug at the edge of the pool, just about to dip it in and drag it back to see how it spread against the concrete, but she thought better of it—dna evidence and all. she'd never allow herself to get caught off of someone else's killing. there was a small doubt that it didn't come from a murder, the amount of it suggested either an adult human or a large animal, and in the city, a human made more sense than some deer. the question now was what happened to the body? blinking slowly, her head tilted as she studied it, only to suddenly notice she wasn't alone. quickly her expression changed, going from stony and impassive to exaggeratedly scared. "oh my god!" she shrieked, jumping back from the puddle and pointed down at it, "call the police! i think someone got hurt!"

She had just heaved the body itself into the back of a van to be disposed of elsewhere, and had returned to make sure she had left nothing important behind. It brought a smile to her face to see the aftermath clean and successful hunt.

Her ears perked up, someone was breathing behind her. In the blink of an eye she had whipped around to face the intruder, eyes almost reflective in the dark, red curls bouncing, sun dress torn in places and soaked in blood.

"I think you're lost, you should go somewhere else," she wasn't yet using her ability to influence minds, but laying a brickwork for if she had to.

Muse #2- Labrys

Activation- 1999

Labrys is a 5th Generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon.

Due to her larger Plume of Dusk, Labrys' personality developed quicker than the other mechanical maidens. She is a caring individual who doesn't want to hurt, let alone kill, anyone she cares about. When she thought she was the human student council president, she was serious, strict, and responsible.

The growth of her ego can be observed within Labrys' thoughts. Moments after her first activation, Labrys' thoughts are extremely simple to understand and consist of the usual technical statements. The more Plumes of Dusk she absorbs, Labrys becomes increasingly eloquent and starts to develop emotions, eventually culminating in her friendship with Unit #024. Even more interestingly, this does not apply to her speech that much since she speaks with an accent directly after her activation.

Labrys was originally Unit #031, one of the many models of Anti-Shadow Weapons created by the Kirijo Group to gather test data on Yakushima. Due to her larger than usual Plume of Dusk, #031 began showing signs of emotion upon activation and developed her ego at a quicker rate than the other units. In between being forced to kill her sister units for combat data and inheriting their memories, #031 and the other units were let outside to mingle amongst themselves. Here, #031 meets and befriends Unit #024, an older unit who was more emotionally developed than the others, who serves as #031's only friend.

Later on, Labrys inherits #024's memories and notices an unusual voice, later revealed by #024's archive to be the girl whose personality was used as the basis of the personality of the early Anti-Shadow Weapons, and that #024 wanted to meet her and thank her for loving them. 13 years later, Labrys would be rediscovered by the Kirijo Group under Mitsuru Kirijo, though after receiving Labrys' "container" from Yakushima, the plane Mitsuru was on was hijacked and Labrys was stolen and taken to Inaba, where she was thrown into the TV. During this time, Labrys dreams of the ill girl she and #024 wanted to meet, and from her gets the idea of becoming a student council president. A voice appears in Labrys' head and shows her an image of Yasogami High School, offering her the chance to go to school and be the student council president. Labrys is brainwashed by the malevolent entity into thinking that she is the human student council president and that the school she is in is the real Yasogami High School.

During the epilogue of the first Persona 4 Arena game, Labrys joins with her sister Aigis and the Shadow Operatives, vowing to find whoever did this to her and the others, though she and Aigis also vow to find the girl she and #024 wished to meet. Aigis also reveals that Labrys' wish came true as Aigis met the hero / heroine of Persona 3 on the same pier, being able to leave the island.

During the ending of the second Persona 4 Arena game, she visits the grave of the girl who her personality is based on. There she meets a boy who suffers the same illness as her, who was able to live thanks to the experiments she endured. Labrys asks as she looks upon the grave if she could call her mom.

In the Japanese version of the games, Labrys speaks in the accent of the Kansai region. In the English version, since there is no definite equivalent to a Kansai accent in English, a Brooklyn accent is used to emulate it although her backstory is not changed at all to "accommodate." Her arcana is the FORTUNE arcana and her weapon of choice is a symmetrical double-headed axe.

Outside, there was a thunderstorm. To most people, this would be a mediocre, or maybe slightly exciting, part of life. To Jonah, it reminded him of the best? worst? night of his life, where he made the final escape. Staring out the window, into the dark with thunderbolts dragging along the sky, he can remember that night like it was yesterday. But it was so far from yesterday. Jonah can remember the pain in his own legs, his breath speeding up, the rain falling hard and soaking him to the bone through his drenched hoodie. Before Jonah's thoughts can go any deeper, he feels a hand interlace with his own, pulling him away from bad memories. Rowan.

Jonah smiles and brings up Rowan's hand to kiss it, before looking into the eyes of the amazing person that is somehow his partner. Jonah was new tol these positive emotions so quickly, but glad to have Rowan drag to him away from that night's echo. Rowan smiles at him, and they speak up as they look out the window, "Looks pretty, doesn't it?"

Jonah can't agree, so he chuckles and leans in to kiss Rowan on the cheek, "Not as pretty as you." This gets Rowan to laugh slightly before looking out at the night, "I love thunderstorms, I would be out there right now, but I like being here with you more." They smile at Jonah, and Jonah glances away. "I guess I liked them too, but, well… Bad memories." He stares out the window, slightly seeing why Rowan loves the storms. They feel nice enough when the rain isn't coming down hard enough to hurt.

Rowan looks to him, and smiles, "Would you like to make some better memories then?" Jonah looks back at them and raises an eyebrow, "How so?" Rowan chuckles and explains their thoughts, "Well, the rain out there isn't coming down too badly. If it wouldn't bother you, we could go out there and make some better memories of thunderstorms, only if you want to, that is!" Rowan looks away, and Jonah lifts both of their hands that are still interlocked, "I'm willing to try it! I mean, uh. It can't be bad if you're there.." Rook somehow smiles even wider as they stand up, pulling Jonah along with them, "Okay then! Just tell me if you get uncomfortable and then we can go right back inside!" Jonah nods in agreement.

Jonah is wearing his ever present hoodie, so Rowan only has to grab a jacket for themself and have the two of them put on their shoes before they are ready to go, just on a little walk, Jonah finds the idea nice, even during a thunderstorm with light rain. As the two of them get to the door, Rowan looks back at Jonah, "Last chance to turn back, you ready, love?" Jonah nods, "Yep, ready." Rowan opens the door and the pure smell of rain wafts in, the sound of the raindrops hitting the sidewalk soft and rhythmic.

Rowan reaches their hand outside the door, letting the raindrops fall on it, the rain isn't too cold, and the night outside is warm. They lightly take Jonah's hand and let him feel the rain for himself. Jonah nods, the night outside is different to the cold one he remembers during thunderstorms, so he takes the first step outside while holding on to Rowas hand, and they trail behind him, smiling, happy that Jonah is willing to try.

Jonah starts the walk, leaving his hood down, feeling the rain patter along his head. Rowan holds his hand tighter and they speed up to be walking right next to Jonah, "So… how does it feel? I like it myself, but how about you?" Jonah looks up and smiles at them, "Nice. It's nice that the night is warm, and it's nice that you're here with me." Rowan leans down to give Jonah a kiss on the head, "I'm glad, now let's enjoy our walk?" Jonah leans up to plant a quick kiss on Rowan's lips, "Yeah, let's."

HAVING TURNED AWAY TO breath out the smoke he’d inhaled from the cigarette he still had pinched between his fingers , freddie’s attention was drawn back towards giorno at hearing him speak. dark gaze riveted , focus a slight dulled due to the alcohol & the waning of the adrenaline high brought forth at every concert , thus effort to keep his concentration on track was required. winding down backstage always brought a sense of accomplishment , one of satisfaction that outdid any high he could achieve. either placing him in an elations that could only be sedated through partying further or in an ease of being that called for the good cigarettes & booze.
