But the latest characters are very very clearly ai generated slop with no recognisable overwatch personality whatsoever, remixed from existing characters and with no impact on existing lore, or characters whatsoever. And the lore of overwatch is amazing. I love it but they clearly don't develop it anymore and instead choose ai to write their characters now.

You can't possibly just ask chatgpt 'generate me a character fitting the overwatch universe and identity and write his backstory fitting the lore of the game' and think it works well.
