Main verse: The normal verse for RP. Takes place during the start of JB's second year of attending Saint Sara Belle (senior year of high school), where she's not exactly new to all the shenanigans her school gets up to, and has gotten reasonably close to her groupmates at this point. Personally as the mun, I only know Nate's route somewhat well and Shiloh's route inside and out like the back of my hand-- so if JB ever defaults to talking about Shiloh in threads, this is why, but she's also single by default and open to other relationships outside of her groupmates.

This is the main verse, so it is untagged. This also includes “normal” interactions, or any unspecified/crossover verse. Potential canon divergence might occur with some muses, but threads will continue to be untagged.

Pre-canon verse: Threads that take place either before JB attends SSB, or during her first year enrolled there since it'd be before the 'main verse' on this blog.

XOXO Blood Droplets verse: Instead of the normal verse, this takes place with the XOBD version of JB! AKA, the one where she and all her groupmates murder people/are at least very okay with it. How XOBD differs from XOD is that it's more of a choose-your-own-adventure black/horror comedy, rather than a comedic slice-of-life dating sim; and all already-exaggerated personalities of the characters are further distorted. JB not only finds her groupmates' more problematic traits attractive, but also the murder. And she'll do anything to be with the one she loves. Unless her guy pisses her off enough first. All triggers will be appropriately tagged.

OXOX Drizzle (Opposite Personality verse): What it says on the tin. Take everything about JB and flip her personality upside down-- meek, shy, self-conscious, nice. Tries not to take up space or stand out, would never dream of hurting anyone's feelings, thinks everything over before she speaks, faints at the thought of daring to ask out a boy. She goes by just Janiya in this verse, and her groupmates are all lovely, wonderful people who get along very well and are all tightknit friends she's been wholeheartedly welcomed into :]

The hottest, smartest, funniest, most amazing, desirable, perfect, and most humble girl to ever grace the presence of Saint Sara Belle boarding school-- At least, according to JB Murphy. If you can't already tell, she's got an ego the size of the planet and then some. But look at her; is she wrong? It's only fitting the main-character-syndrome character is the main character, after all.

XOXO Droplets is a combination dating sim/life management sim with visual novel-like storytelling. JB is the protagonist you play as, but what she lacks in an actual canon name, she makes up tenfold with her larger-than-life personality. She is often nicknamed JB, particularly by a childhood friend, Alicia, since they both went by nicknames when they were ten; Alicia went by 'button' (because her family called her that) and hers was short for 'jellybean' (because JB got jealous that Alicia had a nickname and she didn't so she made their neighbourhood friend group at the time come up with a nickname for her). In the case of this blog, 'JB' also happens to be her initials in her hyphenated first name.

Ever since Alicia left their neighbourhood in Oregon to attend a fancy boarding school somewhere in California, JB has always dreamed of going to one herself. After six years of pestering her parents (and making everyone at her previous school hate her guts), she is finally allowed to attend the school of her dreams: Saint Sara Belle! Not only is a cushy school life with her own dorm perfect for her-- but she can finally date and fool around with any hot guy she pleases without her parents or her sisters' surveillance hovering over her! Hooray! She only started attending SSB at the beginning of her junior year, so she only has two years to rack up her popularity, establish her place as the queen of SSB, and garner affections with potential suitors. Better make it count.

But not only is SSB some fancy K-12 school for rich losers who haven't set foot in the real world. No, there are six very good-looking guys in her grade in particular who are lucky enough for her wonderful self to set her sights on. And she gets to have them all to herself.

Why, you ask? Because they're the worst, most insufferable, hard-to-deal-with jerks Saint Sara Belle has to offer, of course!

Upon her transfer to SSB, the school itself initiated a new student program that very same year. Some sort of mandatory forced-friendship effort to 'create a harmonious learning community' by putting all its students in random groups, with a staff supervisor, and having them meet after school to do goofy bonding exercises and various group activities together. Of course, JB's group is extra special. It's the group full of people so abysmally awful, that no other normal group wanted them in theirs-- So the school decided to lump all these people together to avoid causing trouble for the rest of the student body. Unlike the other groups, they've only had to have meetings scheduled once every other month, and the rest of the meetings scheduled during a group member's birthday whenever it comes up. Obviously, the fact that they are the 'unfriendable jerk' group is not an official stance of the school, but it really wasn't hard for literally all of the students to figure out that's why the group was made with those specific people in it. 

Of course, JB fits right in (her parents probably warned them about what she did at her last school, hence why she got put in that group despite only just transferring), and she really doesn't mind. Because as mentioned; the guys are hot, entertaining as hell, and no one else in their right mind would steal them away. It's perfect!

In general, JB is a girl with boundless confidence and optimism, just as many mean quips as she has jokes, and has a penchant for saying dorky things like 'groovy' and and 'doofy' and being the most amazing the heart of her dearest group of irredeemable assholes. She doesn't care about fitting in; that's stupid and boring and everyone should be admiring her anyway. She loves praise and compliments, even if it's obviously insincere (looking at you, Shiloh). She's relentless and, despite her own faults, very endearing in her own ways-- especially to the guys in the jerk squad. She often comes across as mean or insensitive, especially since she has very little regard to how her words affect other people's feelings, but she can be unwaveringly kind... in a mean way. At least, she's definitely not nice about it.

She's got a positive attitude that allows very little to faze or truly upset her, often making light of every situation and finding ways to keep the mood up. Her uncanny ability to lend understanding and acceptance to even the worst people at SSB is something that can sometimes make up for her less savory qualities. In her own JB way, she sees the best in people’s worst, never thinks about 'good' or 'bad' being something that mattered when it came to people, and though she obviously isn’t the nurturing type, she still genuinely cares about people in other ways. For all her shallow, boy-crazy sentiments, she does have a knack for paying attention and knowing what people need when she really cares about them.
