Electrode stores an overflow of electric energy in its body under very high pressure.

Electrode explodes from the littlest amount of stimuli, either by something bumping into it or a shock from coming into contact with a person, and some Electrode simply blow themselves up if they're bored, so these Pokemon have come to be feared and have been given the nickname "The Bomb Ball."

The more energy Electrode has stored up, the faster it gets but the more likely it is to explode.

Electrode feeds off of electricity in the atmosphere, and during storms it can be carried away in the wind and will explode when lightning strikes.

Electrode are drawn to power plants in droves, and they've been known to cause power outages and major blackouts.
