Also the "I'm going to go pitch time travel. Again" is always funny too. Like obviously they wanted to do time travel in SPN and were shot down but EVENTUALLY they managed to get approval two seasons later lol
Still thinking about how in the Hollywood episode the executives/producers want the horror movie to 'not be dark' and 'have se more color'
Like. Obviously, considering what happens to SPN, it was an actual criticism the show received from higher ups and a pressure they eventually caved to

But it does make the Sam parallel sadder :(
Lawyer that is doomed to die because there is something 'evil' and 'monstrous' in them that they had no control over and someone else it put in there not them
I forgot that Madison is a lawyer! (Or, at least, works in a law firm)
Sam saw a hot lawyer and said dibs lol

I do think it's interesting that Bela and Dean both make deals for good reasons. Almost every example of deal making are for selfish or petty reasons. And they just literally want to survive. (Bela in an abuse free environment and Dean in a world that has Sam in it)
Like it is interesting to me that Dean parallels John and the one guy who saved his wife, yeah. But the Bela parallel?? Ooh that is fun.

So I thought that s02e15's two different versions of the same story was because Sam and Dean were annoyed with each other and exaggerating
But what if the trickster actually made reality appear that way to each of them. Two coexisting stories that they both happened.

So when Meg said to Jo "My daddy shot your daddy in the head" was she playing at Sam or did she mean Azazel? 👀
pretty sure she means John but it'd be soooo fun if John and Bill had managed to summon Azazel + Meg in the way back when

And that Meg uses Sam to get her revenge on Dean!!
Without any regard for the plan her father has for Sam! Because this is personal to her. She prioritizes her revenge rather than Azazel's wishes for Sam.
And she knows that it would hurt Dean more to do this than to just outright hurt Dean. Not only is possessing Sam bad - but she uses him to commit crimes and tarnish how Dean perceives him.
And - above all - she tries so hard to get Dean to kill Sam. She wants him to be the one to do it. She could have at any time killed Sam, but no!! She wanted Dean to be the one to do it! She wanted to cause him the uttermost pain possible she could think of - and that was if Dean killed Sam. Chose to kill him, nonetheless!
"Born Under a Bad Sign" just gets better and better with every rewatch
The first time I saw it, I thought that Sam was able to get 'flashes' of being possessed - similarly to how Human!Meg knew what apartment building to go to in season 1.
The second time, it is a WHOLE other ballgame watching it and realizing it's Meg the whole time and there never was any Sam
This is my third time watching it and it blows my kind the subtle indications. The annoyance that Meg shows when Dean doesn't react how she predicted him and in situations she can't control him, like when she has to go back to the car at the gas station and can't control what Dean hears or knows from the worker. "What more do you want?" She asks Dean who has followed her perfectly crafted trail laden with clues and is literally standing over a dead body but still won't condemn his brother
Ugh it's just so good ❤️

"House of the Holy" is so interesting with hindsight.
Michael the good one and Sam's interest. (The lack of mention of Lucifer also being in the painting) and Sam's believing vs Dean's nonbelieving and that the 'angel' chooses 'bad' people to 'redeem' and then chooses Sam
And then Sam's "this feeling just washed over me like peace, like grace" when all he's ever wanted is those

I have a love/hate relationship with s02e12 "Nightshifter" becayse I love the concept of Sam and Dean being trapped in a bank robbery, but I cannot stand the Sam depiction in this episode.
And I get it! He doesn't want to tell Ronald because he wants to keep him safe. (And then this blows up in their faces.) But it kills me because Sam has usually been the first one to want to tell people the truth! It's only rotten timing because Ava disappearing has triggered Sam's need to protect civilians and keep them safe. And so he's making calls he wouldn't usually make.
However - I do think there's a little bit of uppity bitchiness involved. Just like earlier in this episode how Dean says cops are doing their job but are messing it up, that's how Sam views Ronald. He's not a hunter and it's not his job so he'll make things worse.
But uuuuggggghhhh this episode

"Julie was dying"
"You did it to save her?"
Oh my goshhh aaaa the Dean making a deal to save Sam foreshadowing in s02e08
The guy they try to save? Made a deal to save his wife's life
They are NOT beating the brotherwife allegations

Sometimes I do wish Jo was the boys' half sister. But especially because Jo and Sam have such a younger sibling vibe I love it when they're together

I think "Simon Said" is so interesting because usually it is Sam who is rooting for the suspect/monster/freak to be innocent. Because he sees himself in them and wants to give them a chance at not being evil because that means that he has a chance at not being evil.
But in this episode, Sam is so sure that Andy is guilty, and it is Dean who keeps reminding Sam that Andy could be innocent. Because Dean needs to believe that Sam can stand a chance at not being evil, and so he sees Andy and desperately hopes that he is innocent because he needs it in the same way that usually Sam needs.
Dean is the one projecting innocence on this episode's freak suspect while Sam is the one projecting condemnation.
