and i mean okay let me compile all the threads about the void & time specifically. that we've done. because first of all: the canonical bit where spectre is created at the moment of the ritual and the end of season one, but the cast arrives two-thousand years into spectre's history, and for them it's like barely a day has passed at all. second of all, void-time-jump au, where the quad gets thrown back to each others' backstories as ghosts and then yoinked back into the present which has Changed but not in any way that has truly changed anything (the tragedy of modded to season one is very real). thirdly, that one au crow mentioned offhandedly once where echo just straight up time travels instead of season two happening. fourthly, back to canon, the amount of artifacts that fuck with time or space in WEIRD and unprecedented ways that probably should be breaking things but fuck if we aren't already breaking things with spectre's existing inclu. exhibit 4.1) the hourglass (temporary "here is your child self" beam 4.2) the pocketwatch (groundhog's day is explanatory enough) 4.3) the unnamed artifact that brings one of your alternate timeline selves into this one AND ARGUABLY 4.4) the mirror but i feel like the mirror is a weak example so i'm crossing it out. honorable mention. fifth, also back in canon, the frozen time surrounding The Void at the deepest point of the mouth of the world, explicitly caused By The Void (distinct character from the void (force of nature, plot device) but derived from that force all the same). gestures widely. see!! see!!

Cradle-to-Cradle: Reflection So excited to post my very first piece for Invisobang 2024! Big shout out to my author WillaKK for writing a story that mixes two of my favorite things together (Danny Phantom and vampires!) and fellow artist EyesofCrows who inspired and challenged me to do a pixel art piece for this event. the continuing thread of the void as a thing/place/etc. (there really is no concise way to summarize it in the context i am referring to it in. agonizing) anyways. the continuing thread of it being a Thing that makes time thin and malleable and fucks with it is sooo interesting to me and NO i have not invented an entirely new au for sauces abt it again (shoves something very big and au-shaped behind my back). and genuinely unrelated to the au i disingenuously definitely dont have. especially since like obviously these aus take place in alternate universes but considering the void as a SPACE thing. the horror of "hey, is time actually thin or have we recreated my childhood home to an indistinguishable T and Put Me Back In It" is SOMETHING to me
