❝ Yuh-Yes, please... ❞ He should go back to his parents, try and pull them from their stupor. Yet, she speaks and Bill listens. Her voice is soothing and he believes she can take him away for at least a moment.

He reaches out and slips his little hand in hers. Eyes stay on the floor, other hand rubbing his nose and swallowing hard. Surely he shouldn't trust anyone, but there's that little voice in the back of his head that wants to believe. ❝ Where are we going? ❞

❝ well then, we've got a lot of things to change, don't we? ❞ her words are almost upbeat then, in hopes of ceasing his tears and bringing him comfort, but there is much more on his mind than any child should have to bare.

the loss of a child -- elizabeth cannot imagine the pain of such a reality. however, she'd never considered how that could effect the sibling of a child lost; that's what is before her now. she smells guilt -- it is heavy and pouring out of his every pore. but it was not his fault, that much she is sure of, and though brows furrow further in disappointment -- it is not in billy. no, it is in his parents. they are failing to treasure what is right before their very eyes. ❝ would you like to go somewhere fun, billy? away from your parents, i mean. ❞ she'll be gentle in her offer, careful not to overwhelm the boy. after all, there is a hidden room here at the hotel cortez where her own children play -- that is a start.

"And you came here? For what?" His expression shifted from amiable to something between curious and mystified. Plus, the guy must have money which only added to Benson's surprise. "People in this town, they don't do shit. Nothing that means anything, anyway. It's nothing personal, but this is the last place I'd be if I had a choice."

He sighed and shook his head. "Nah, been here my whole life but I'm leavin'. Me and a friend of mine are taking off to Texas then who knows where we'll be." He smiled ruefully, relishing the thought of finally leaving the town behind for good. "Thanks for the tip on Taco Bell."

"Sure, that would be great. Sorry, hope I'm not bothering you, I've been driving for a while and I could use something to eat."

Benson smiled, trying his best to seem normal. He was on the run and he'd left Randy back at the hotel. Maybe going up to this guy was a bad idea, but he was desperate and the least he could do since Randy was stuck with him was get some food.

"You, uh, you don't look like you're from here. Sorry, I should have a cellphone but I dropped it and it broke." That was a lie, one he hoped the guy would believe. He left it in his car with the doors locked, and it was actually Randy's not his.

HOWEVER, I require a backstory, Face Claim(has to be IRL), and be sure to describe how their relationship with the character I portray is. It's hard for me to connect to an OC if I don't have any details about them or know what they look like. *ALSO-No over the top rude or perfect OCs. If your character is constantly rude and very very mean for no reason to who I am portraying. It starts to be a chore to respond. It very uncomfortable and makes it difficult to stay interesting in writing. It's fine if they aren't always super nice. But just don't over do it please. When I say perfect OCs. I mean, they are amazing at everything, OP, know everything my character is about to say or do. It is very dull and not interesting at all.
