Ah, hello Tumblr roleplayers, it has been a while! I am one of many who was left adrift after Omegle shut down and am on the search for rp partners.

I am looking for rp partners in a variety of fandoms, genres, ships, etc. I’ll have all of them listed in a hopefully organized manner below and will do my best to keep this list accurate. What I’m Looking For In A Roleplay Partner:

-Age: Roleplayers who are at least 20+ as well

-Style: I’m open to a variety of styles, I roleplay everything from one sentence “text message” style to multi-paragraph advanced lit. Though my preferences tend to lean towards lit/advanced lit.

-Location: I’d prefer someone who’s comfortable transitioning to Discord, once we agree on what we want to rp

-Expectations: One of the things I loved about Omegle were the casual vibes when it came to when an rp needed to end. So, while I hope for some long term rps, I’m looking for people who will be okay with rps ending when interest dissipates. Without the need for big explanations as to why. This goes both ways! I won’t expect such explanations from you either if we start any sort of storyline and you end up wanting to drop out. The way I see it, this is meant to be a fun pass time and ideally shouldn’t feel like a stressful obligation for either of us.

Shelter from the Storm

We've lost so much since we first started Are our hearts cold or are we coldhearted? 2013: The first kaiju made landfall. San Francisco had almost been leveled by the time it ended. Sacramento and Oakland not far behind. Five days. Ten of Thousands of casualties. An interloper from who knew where. 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙧.

Only the first of many.

In the years that followed more came. And passed on the destruction they wrought. Came a category systems. Measured like natural disasters. Even despite their alien nature. Standard weaponry quickly started to fail. Everyone new Kaiju seemed better. Stronger.

So. Humanity adapted. Built better weapons. Better machines of war. And so came, The Jaegers. Titans of steel and nuclear power. Tuned specifically to hunt them down. Every time one fell. The loss of the twins pilots was mourned. Atleast, As best as it could be in a world on the brink. The lingering anger of mourning used to make the next line more capable.

So today stands the Hong Kong Shatterdome. Much of the funding had been cut. Many of the other domes lost. So. It stands as a last bastion. A Shelter from the Storm.

Hi all! This is major longshot, but I have an itch that I'm dying to scratch. First and foremost, I'm 21+, they/them, a literate third person novella writer - though I am fine with shorter replies as long as I'm given enough to work with. Discord preferred!

Now here's the thing I'm looking to write; Godzilla. I've been a Godzilla fan, and kaiju fan in general, for as long as I can remember, and I love writing giant monsters for action/adventure plots. I'm happy to write versions of Godzilla kaiju from existing media (ie. films, shows, comics - Monsterverse or Toho in any era) or my own verse and iterations I've been working on! (Maybe if I'm lucky I can sneak in some others from Gamera and Ultraman too heehee).

I am happy to write against other kaiju or humans, be they ocs or canon characters. I will only be playing canon kaiju/titans. That being said, I am so, so open to crossover and au interactions. Putting Godzilla and his monstrous pals in another universe is the icing on my radioactive cake! Twenty years since the Battle of the Breach that closed the portal and sealed Kaiju away from the human world for good, it's the year 2045...

Katydid Suwan is a city slicker in Seoul, South Korea, calling it her new home after a Kaiju attack destroyed her home in provincial Thailand when she was just 6 years old. Now, at the age of 26, she couch-hops between friends' apartments while her eldest brother, Benjie, trains in the Jaeger program, famous for rescuing the world all those years ago. Katydid swore away from machines and monsters, preferring the lifestyle of a deejay, mixing beats and playing at clubs.

The Jaeger program hears of a covert operation mining the Pacific Rim for rare materials and resources found only at the Breach. During a mission to investigate the operation, Benjie, piloting a Jaeger by the code name Silver Sparrow with his best friend, and one other Jaeger duo encountered a mecha-Kaiju and were defeated in combat. Silver Sparrow was destroyed in battle, killing both Benjie and his best friend; the other Kaiju duo lived to tell the tale and relay the news to Katydid.

Spurred by revenge, Katydid enlisted in the Jaeger program with full intention of bringing justice to her brother's death. Except, she has a few problems: She has never piloted a Jaeger before and has to be trained from the ground-up. And she needs a partner. The only thing she's got to keep her going is her brother's motto while piloting Silver Sparrow: "Be light as a feather, stiff as a board."

Personality-wise, Katydid is quite hotheaded, stubborn, and closed-off. She has always been critical of the Jaeger program, as well as other efforts by the Pan-Pacific Defense Corps, believing their interference has caused the death of millions of innocent people—including, now, her entire family.

At the Hong Kong Shatterdome, Rebecca was stood on one of many catwalks as she looked down at her tablet, which showed the specs of the Jaeger she was next to, checking to see what repairs needed to be done or what parts were worn and needed placing, she enjoyed her job as engineer, she made a few notes on her tablet for a part that was starting to show some signs of wear and tear, it wasn't enough to be alarming but it was worth making a note of it for the next person that checked the Jaeger's systems.
