So many people talk about Logan and Wade with pets (me included, currently campaigning for them to have a tortoise 🐢), what pet do you think they would LOVE that isn't the typical? Something that isn't a stray cat or another dog (though, I do also love those lmao)?

I'm asking people this for science.

As a serious awnser?

Bearded dragon.

Wade bought him during an impulsive buy when picking up dog food.

They live in enclosures so if they left they wouldnt have to worry about asking Al to take care of hrr or let her outside like Al has to do with Mary, Wade would love just carrying this girl around and her nails scratching his skin ground him.

They can often be handled well by adults yes but also Kid wade, who is very gentle with them.

Wade would hate picking up the crickets to feed her though he wouldnt mind cleaning the tank. He'd probably get those tweezer things to pick up the crickets. He'll pick up the other bugs though, crickets and grasshoppers just freak him out.

In general, she wouldnt mind if the electric went out or new york has a heat wave so thats nice.

Circling back, I think wade would love feeling her rough textured skin to keep him present. It would be sensitive on his scar tissue but would be enough to keep the mean thoughts away.

This being said, he'd be more of Wade's pet then Logan's but dont let logan fool you, he likes the little guy like a dad who didnt want a cat likes the cat.

as promised though here’s yuu (+ grim!!) :D

As mentioned before, Yuu and Grim are both yokai in this au !!

Yuu is the ghost of a young aspiring photographer who mysteriously died in his teens. Back when he was alive, he considered Grim to be a mischievous stray cat, not knowing he was simply a yokai in disguise. Their backstory together is still in the works, but this is what i have as of rn ^^

story wise their roles are kinda similar to that of Whisper n Jibanyan in the sense that Yuu is adeuce’s first introduction to yokai and grim is essentially Resident Asshole Cat 😭😭

when it comes to their human disguise and their usual yokai form, there aren’t a lot of visual differences to take note of tbh. The main key differences would be the cane and the pants. While in disguise, Yuu’s pants don’t have the little tears at the bottom, but they are more likely to be seen with the cane due to a previous leg injury when they were alive

while in yokai form however, the cane is mostly rlly an aesthetic choice. Despite this, Yuu does occasionally feel similar phantom pains in both forms

On the other hand, Grim in disguise looks like a regular cat save for the faint blue coloring of his ears and the split tail !! Yokai grim is honestly just regular grim though tbh…….

the two “haunt” adeuce’s shared dorm and tend to accompany them to classes and such !!

This comic is older, but clean enough that I didn’t feel the need to redraw! Darn perfectionism lol

So the ways that different animals communicate varies vastly between them. For example, rats hear things on a spectrum slightly above human hearing, and there are recent studies touching on how with special microphones, scientists have discovered that rats squeak a lot to one another in high pitches to communicate between them like their own little secret language! While there are significantly less studies on turtle behavior the same can be said for them, as baby turtles will make low noises that signal when the others of their nest are hatching, and in general they hear much lower frequencies on account of their scale covered eardrums and need for underwater listening.

So with that, how do the animal traits of Splinter and his kids line up?

They probably have a base hearing range similar to a humans, but the turtles can probably hear and speak lower sounds than Splinter and vice versa. What shenanigans could they get up to?

Cue cussing in a frequency range that Splinter shouldn’t be able to hear…

Ukifune is one of the yokai you encounter during your time in feudal Japan. He is a traveling merchant, selling oddities and souls. Most of the items on display are stolen, or dreadfully cursed. That's for the poor, gullible buyers to discover, however. A deal's a deal, and he has no business with the aftermath!

He was shocked to find a pathetic human like you surrounded by a pack of demons; and not just any demons, mind you. To have the great Murasaki himself draw his sword for your sake, like some mere servant, was no ordinary thing to witness. He was intrigued, morbidly curious. He found himself following you around, wanting to learn your secrets.

Ironically enough, he becomes terribly attached to this mysterious human reincarnation. You're silly, you're naïve. He loves it. Oh, he'd have so much fun teasing you. If only your horned suitors wouldn't interfere all the time.

"Keep your hands off, filthy fox," Yuugiri hisses at the intruder.

"I should've sliced him up when I had the chance," Murasaki mutters under his breath, glaring at the blatant pervert sneaking his way in.

Naturally, you're oblivious to it. What's another friend to the team? You joyfully accept his presence, until you feel his clawed hand cupping your butt without any shame.
