i am actually quite depressed that i won’t be able to edit anymore after the ByteDance ban. bear with me while i ramble because the impending doom is about to kill me.
it has been my proudest accomplishment and favorite pastime to create content and share this movie with so many people. bringing in new faces and introducing people to this film who may not have EVER crossed paths with it if not for a platform like tiktok and the popularity of video editing. but now that’s all going away and there’s no substitute for it.
i can’t edit on any other software because A.) i only taught myself to use CapCut when i set out to “market” this film in the first place, and B.) because i can’t afford a better software or even a laptop to edit on. it would be useless anyway because there aren’t any other sites or apps that are as encouraging of editing and push out that kind of material.
it wasn’t ever really just a hobby, yk? i was absolutely determined to share Like Minds with however many people i could and i maintained that for over two years now, even at times when the best clips i could find were from old Youtube videos/trailers. And although i succeeded to an extent, it is incredibly disappointing to me that my endeavor will be cut short before i’m even slightly ready for it to end.
the days of explaining time and time again all the possibilities of the ending and receiving horrified but excited DMs from people who watched the film are over. i won’t ever be tagged in a new LM editor’s videos by a fellow fandom member who got to them before i did and then hold a long and heartfelt conversation with them while they gush about their enthusiasm for it. Even on this site, i won’t be able watch a few new profiles pop up after one of my videos do well and i direct them here for analysis content and just an overall fandom community that tiktok doesn’t seem to really have the algorithm to support.
i’m obviously not taking all the credit for making this film more relevant, that is not my intention or what i’m trying to say at all, i’ve had the help of a few other amazing editors that i will also be missing on tiktok specifically and also our lovely fandom residents on various social medias such as twitter, instagram and the hellsite that is Tumblr.com. but even just the dozens of DMs i receive monthly and the literal 10k+ comments weekly are so so important to me and are significant enough to have me distraught over their oncoming absence.
I’ve been so happy and honestly privileged to have taken on such a task and kept up on it for as long as i have, but i really don’t know how i’m gonna cope once i am no longer able to do it. because i have no intention of just “moving on” and forgetting this film haha.
i guess you guys are just gonna be stuck with me and have to power through how insufferable i’m gonna be now that i don’t have another place to express it.
damn this is SO SAD. i’m losing all the hard work and the profile i’ve built since i was fifteen. i hate it here.

Trio of bad bloods obsessed with their human mechanic. So much so that said human has no choice but to live on their ship because they'd be dammed if someone else touched you! (Not that the human is complaining, lol) The human is smitten :3 perhaps said human teases them to break the sexual tension?
Scared to come off anon still, but I adore your works! ♡
Not A Bad Sight
Pairings: Mai'tuiudh (Male), A'jiadh (Male), Zaikeh (Female) x Mechanic!Reader
Word Count: 2179
Summary: The same trio always shows up every month, sometimes even shorter. You've come to learn more about them both in contact and in passing. You work on their ship. They do ask for you by name. You get their craft operating every time. The longer this goes on, the less the trio wants to let you go.
Author Note: This is a fantastic idea! I loved writing this so much. Also, this gave me an idea for anons. For those who are using Anon, could you use an emoji or even a nickname to distinguish everyone. Another thing, I promise I don't bite! If you want to jump into my Dms and rant about Yautjas, I'll be right there with you
Masterlist

Sweat dribbled down your forehead. The heat of the place nearly overwhelming if you hadn’t grown use to it day in, day out. A small electrical fan spun on the highest setting and blew slightly cooler air at you. Not too much of a difference. Someone would have to pry the thing out of your melted, sweat hands before you would give it up though.
With your forearm, you swiped away the offending salty drip of water and continued to tighten a bolt. This was such an easy fix, one any of those hunks of meat could easily do themselves. They are known to get their hands dirty.
Those large muscles you knew had to take years to perfect aren’t a sight you would turn away from. Said muscles could easily unlogde this moderate size space rock, pull the damage panelling up, then replace it.
Not even the hardware underneath the panel was damaged. But nope, the trio came sauntering and always asked you by name. Your boss could care less. It earned her money. Money in both of your pockets was a job well done. Though, you came by honesty with them and let them know this was more trouble for their pockets then it was worth to have you fix. All of them insisted you fixed it, trusting their ship in your hands.
For whatever reason, they always wanted you to make all the repairs on their vessel.
Said vessel was sleek, clean, a speed class with just a hair of defense to take a hit or two. The speed came with its downfall when it came to space junk or debris. That’s why it’s here right now.
A grunt surpassed your lips once the last bolt was secured. You proudly smirked down at the completed work then hoped off the wing.
This ship was a beauty to work on. Yautjas rarely let anyone work on their ships. So, to have an opportunity like this fall into your hands. It would be stupid to pass it on to someone else. Especially seeing all three of them walk out of the shop to pass the time. You hated to see them go but the sight was beautiful.
Like the countless times before, you send a ping to Mai’tuiudh. He’s the leader of the bunch. Well… ‘leader’. He takes charge during the transactions but it’s A’jiadh who chats you up. Then, there’s Zaikeh. The lumber giant even to the other two. A female from the pieces of information you’ve been able to pull about Yautjas and their societies.
Due to the day winding down, you stayed up at the front desk and waited for your familiar customers to walk through. A tablet in hand to keep yourself busy until then.
It’s a rarity to see a female, that you know of from personal experience and the universe wide web. The reason is unknown to you but maybe you could pull the information from one of them one day.
Of course, who knows if the Yautjas are purposefully removing knowledge of their inner workings. They don’t actively seek out other species and stick to their own. A forward going species with a serious attitude that hung to the very depths of their DNA.
A soft ding pulled you from your device and glancing at the only door in and out of this place. In walked the trio you’ve grown to know. You stood up and dipped your head in greeting. “Well, if it isn’t my favorite customers,” you greeted with a knowing smirk, your eyes finding Mai in the front.
Said male strolled into the front area and stopped at the counter dividing the four of you. His partners in crime followed in after him and paused at his sides. A’jiadh leans onto the stone tabletop and pushed closer to your personal space. There was a glint in his eyes you’ve grown to learn. He’s a cheeky little fucker and loves to see you act in any submissive way. You didn’t know if this was him personally or a trait among the Yautjas being such a dominant race.
The others showed the same trait but less of an amount. Just in causal passing, you guessed.
Before Mai could have the chance to speak, A’jiadh beat him to the punch. “So, dollface, everything fixed up for us or were you wanting to see us again for encouragement? Because I can give you all encouragement you could ever ask for,” he teased and leaned even closer to you.
Countless times around the forward Yautja, you’ve learned to just stay where you at. You huffed and rolled your eyes. “You know you could’ve fixed this yourself. You have all the right tools. Nothing was damaged,” you voiced the situations details again with a helpful tone.
Despite not falling into his tricks, A’jiadh wasn’t discouraged at all. No matter how many times you ignored the flirty comments he would throw at you.
Mai shoulder checked the mottled olive green Yautja to the side and fully stepped up to the plate. “How much?” His voice was gravelly and sent a shiver down your spine every time.
You grabbed the tablet off of the counter and scrolled through the list of customers until landing on them. The price was something you would never be willing to pay for something so simple that a child could do… if they had the strength to get the bolts off. But these are Yautjas. Probably the strongest known species that traveled the universe.
Labor and materials do cost a pretty credit around here though. You’re the best known in the system.
A heft sigh pushed the air out of your lungs. You set the tablet on the tall counter in front of him. “Well, it’s gonna be a pretty five-hundred and six credit repair,” you said and pointed towards the bottom of the page where it was typed out.
A’jiadh ‘oo’ed then lifted one of his upper mandibles, resembling a human-like smirk. “Pretty like you.” You raised a single brow at the Yautja before you put your hands on your hips, jutting one out.
“Love, you couldn’t handle me,” you said and shook your head to feign discouragement to the Yautja. It’s not like you wanted them to give up. No, instead, you wanted them to chase. Predator vs prey.
Fire blazed to life in his teal blue eyes. You weren’t oblivious to their intentions. Far from it. You knew their game as the hunters their species is known for. A game you were more than happy to play along with. But it’ll be a hard game. No easy mode.
“Is that so?” he purred out, muscles tensing as if he was readying himself for a hunt.
Before the game could continue between the two of you, Mai handed back the device. “All paid,” he interrupted and rested an elbow on the high counter afterwards. Your gaze jumped over to him. You took the tablet back and set it off to the side.
“Well, come on folks, your chariot awaits.” They’ve been back here so many times that you didn’t necessarily needed to lead them but decided to anyhow. Again, you would love to be on the other side of them. All of them walking away.
The door opened to reveal the massive hanger with many other vessels in here for repairs. Always busy, always working here. A shop that does good work always has an influx of customers. That’s this shop.
Closer to the front of the line up, sat their beautifully crafted ship. You loved to work on it every time they brough it in. Stunning in style and sleekness. You could never get enough of it. A smile worked its way onto your face before you stopped and about faced. “Here’s your beauty. Everything checked out. I got bored and ran a check on all the systems to ensure they were working properly. No issues. I’m happy to say she has a clean bill of health.”
Zaikeh stopped at your side, facing the ship. She looked down at you. Like usual, the black scaled Yautja stayed quiet and observed you within the silence. It freaked you at first but you have come to learn that’s just how she is.
“Got any questions for me?” you asked the trio before fully releasing the ship back into their care.
A’jaidh chirped and crowded into your space. You didn’t back down and enjoyed his heat brushing against your skin. A better feel than the sweltering heat the hanger gets on average. “What would it take for you to come with us?” he questioned.
Out of all the times you’ve interacted with them, these words surprised you. Your brows shot up to your hair line. Your mouth sputtered for a moment to find the right words. “W-what do you me-an?” Come with them? In what way? You don’t travel very often. The shop keeps you busy and happily wealthy to live in a comfortable apartment by yourself in a safe area on the planet.
He moved closer, your chest to his midriff. You didn’t see it happen before you felt another source of heat trap you to A’jaidh. “I think you know what he means, little one.” The smooth voice of Zaikeh met your ears. You could melt into a puddle from the heat inside of you, boiling your blood to steam.
“Like go with you guys?” you needed clarification before agreeing to anything. All this talk, this game you’ve played was in its last quarter, you had to make the last goal to win.
“Be our mechanic. Only ours. We’ll keep you safe, fed, and pampered,” Mai whispered into your ear, surprising you from his sudden appearance. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to escape. They caught their prey.
You.
“All you have to do is stay with us,” Mai muttered softly in your other ear, somehow moving around quickly. He was showing off his prowess and abilities as a hunter. “Be our mechanic. We’ll take care of you, little ooman.”
Your heart stuttered in its bony cage. You swallowed down the lump in your throat and gave the idea a thought. The ability to reach for the stars, go anywhere with them. Yeah, the shop was fun, the money was good. But this here, was an opportunity you would die for. Kill for even. Three Yautjas wanted you. You wanted the three Yautjas.
All the plays you endured while playing this game with them is paying off. You swallowed your nerves and straightened your spine before looking to the side at Mai. He was the leader after all. “I’ll go with you,” you accepted, couldn’t deny the way your body vibrated with anticipation and anxiety.
A Cheshire-like grin spread across his alien face. “Good, because it wasn’t a choice. You’re ours. No one is allowed to touch you or even look in your general vicinity,” Mai growled and brushed his knuckled against your cheek.
“Yeah, we aren’t below kidnapping you. But, we’re glad you’ve decided to come willingly,” A’jaidh joined the conversation.
Kidnapping?! “You were going to kidnap me? That doesn’t seem very honorable. Wouldn’t that break your honor code?” you questioned and tilted your head.
The hand that brushed against your cheek snatched your chin to lift up your head. Mai’tuiudh stood up tall before your form. “Honor? Oh sweet thing, we don’t care about honor. We are Bad Bloods after all,” he admitted. Your eyes widened at the realization that these Yautjas aren’t part of the majority of their species society. Instead, they’re the rouges who’ve broke their promise and honor. There was nothing holding them back from killing you.
And you loved it.
The two Yautjas pinning you between them finally backed off and allowed you to have some breathing room. Mai kept his hold on your chin and dragged you closer to him. “You’re ours now, ooman.” Then Mai let go and motioned towards the ship. Without complaint you happily skipped towards the belly of the ship.
Just like them, you knew the ship like the back of your hand. You tapped in the code to lower the ramp and waited for it go fully down. A glance behind you showed they were following you into their ship. Nothing could wipe off the smile on your face. A new, exciting chapter in your life.

𝑨𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 𝑳𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔!
So, I’ve decided to create indepth posts about astrology; the signs/placements, planets, and houses. I have a short overview here. Everyone has a whole birth chart, here's a free site that I use and trust (don't go on co-astrology it's full of stereotypes and misinformation.)
Find the first lesson here.
Second Lesson: 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐒 🌙
Your Moon sign represents the deepest, most inner side of ourselves. It’s our inner world and it is very uncommon to see that side of someone. That’s why as a child you may show those traits more than when you’re an adult - as you age, you can hide that side of yourself.
Our Moon aspect is how we show comfort, how we display emotions and who we are when we are alone. It's our instincts, how we react to situations, our sense of security. The Moon is linked to the mother and child, it represents our inner mother and our inner child.
So, unlike the signs in their Sun placement - they are a bit different in your Moon sign.
Moon in Fire signs: Attention, adventures, a partner or friends who care as much as you do
Moon in Earth signs: Work, routine, stability
Moon in Air signs: Intellectual stimulation, new things, social interaction
Moon in Water signs: Alone time, caretaking
𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝑅𝑎𝑚
Tumblr media
With an Aries Moon, this means that the planet, Mars, rules your inner self. It means you’re direct, quick to action, impulsive, and bold. You may tend to be impatient. Nothing is done quick enough. They make for fiercely protective parents and impassioned activists.
Gets bored easily
Emotional issues take precedence
Take things very personally, and they deal with problems by facing them right away
Moon in Aries folk experience difficult childhoods
Never have to ask them how they feel - they’ll let you know clearly and sometimes ... eractically.
The difference between an Aries Sun and an Aries Moon is that Moon in Aries will rebel just for the sake of it. They’re a lot more active and have a desire to have new experiences. An Aries Sun is much more restrained in their expressions and emotions.
𝐓𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐬 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝐵𝑢𝑙𝑙
Tumblr media
With a Taurus Moon, they feel with their senses and are pretty much rooted in their ways. Those with this moon placement typically have a stereotypical homemaker kind of mother figure. It should be noted that Taurus Moon’s are usually not the gambling type, they prefer to protect themselves and their finances by being overly cautious.
Generally very romantic
Once they have made a commitment, they’re persevering
They make great teachers
Often the mediators of a group
The difference between a Taurus Sun and a Taurus Moon is that there’s a soft, graceful, and refined quality to the Taurus Moon that isn't seen in the Taurus Sun, who embodies the archetype of the Bull much more readily.
𝐆𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝑇𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑠
Tumblr media
With a Gemini Moon, a person is witty, open-minded and highly imaginative. Generally, they have a million and one projects going. With a finger in every pie, they have a desire to keep on creating; since they have so many ideas. The mother in the lives of those with a Gemini moon is usually childlike or stunted in some way that makes her more of an older sister than a traditional mother.
Nervousness and worry are common traits
In their families, Lunar Geminis often take on the role of organizing get-togethers
They are at their best when they have plenty of things to do beyond routine
This placement almost always have a way with words
The difference between a Gemini Sun and a Gemini Moon is that the Sun is more sociable, and has a want to be around others. While the latter (just as intellectual) cares about what is underneath.
𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝐶𝑟𝑎𝑏
Tumblr media
With a Cancer Moon, they seek out security and familiarity in all they do. This aspect remembers a lot; like walking libraries. Not ones for small talk, or in other words, ‘surface-level interactions’, this placement prefer deeper connections and therefore the company of only their inner circle.
Moon in Cancer suggests a mother or maternal figure that experienced extreme and ever-changing emotions. The moon in Cancer child learned early to adapt to these shifting emotional energies and developed the desire to make it better through their own efforts.
The Moon is “at home” in the sign of Cancer, as the Moon is the natural ruler of the sign.
Nostalgic; they over idealize the past
They feel valuable when they are able to assist
The difference between a Cancer Sun and a Cancer Moon is that the Cancer energy is shown more readily in Cancer Moons’. This is due to the planet being in the sign that it rules. A person will have exaggerated traits of nurturing, caring, intuitive etc.
𝐋𝐞𝐨 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝐿𝑖𝑜𝑛
Tumblr media
With a Leo Moon, they have a natural charisma without the need of being loud. They feel most at home in the company of greatness and finery. The mother figure for those with natal moon in Leo is a kind of grande dame who either failed to give her striving children the attention they needed or was overbearing and a bit of a “Dance Mom,” pushing them towards success in the hopes the shine of it would lend them some spotlight.
Although they are romantic, giving and kind, there’s a bit of an “all press is good press” mentality to those with this moon
Sometimes they just need some encouragement
Very proud, and they are rarely happy to follow orders
The difference between a Leo Sun and a Leo Moon is that the Sun placement is much more outgoing, flamboyant and in need of the spotlight. Another way of looking at it is that the male lion is the Leo Sun and the female lion is the Leo Moon.
𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐨 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛
Tumblr media
With a Virgo Moon, they feel most content when they’ve straightened out all the details of everyday life. Their key trait is being a worrier, normally striving for order, cleanliness, service to others and efficiency. The maternal figure was likely traditional with a scoured kitchen floor and the pervasive energy of wanting more from her children than they were able to deliver.
Virgo curiosity shows up big time with this position of the Moon
Plagued by perfection
Feelings get in the way of work, so they would prefer to repress them
The difference between a Virgo Sun and a Virgo Moon is that the Virgo Sun wants to be the stereotypical Virgo but fails to meet them. While a Virgo Moon cannot do anything but those stereotypes (or traits, if you prefer that term). Hence, the sun sign strives to exhibit its qualities, it often falls short. The moon, on the other hand, can't help but exhibit the full force of its sign.
𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝑆𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑒𝑠
Tumblr media
With a Libra Moon, you’re very alluring and attractive. You’re quite flirtacious, and feel the most safe when you’re wanted. Although, you can be highly flexible, you’re also very indecisive. There’s this belief that Libra Moons have that what is good must be beautiful and what is beautiful must be good
They feel safe and secure when they are in a partnership
Big people-pleasers
Strive for validation
Gracious? Yes. Direct? Never.
The difference between a Libra Sun and a Libra Moon is that Libra Suns have the desire for big social groups, while Libra Moons are more interested in focusing on one romantic relationship. Another big difference is that Libra Moons have an innate need for fairness and charm more so than the Suns, but they rarely display it.
𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐨 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝑆𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑝𝑖𝑜𝑛
Tumblr media
With a Scorpio Moon, you are love someone who will challenge you so that you may understand yourself better. In other words, you like when those that are trustworthy come to you with honesty. Hence, Scorpio Moons seek out emotional intensity.
The maternal figure for those with this placement was likely an unwilling mother who suffered her own heavy losses and serious sorrows. Though she may have cared for her child, the child sensed and internalized being somehow unwanted.
Have a strong fear of betrayal
They are unlikely to forget a kindness or forgive an insult
Scorpio Moons want all or nothing
The difference between a Scorpio Sun and a Scorpio Moon is that while the former wants to come across as powerful, the latter needs to know they are.  As well as this, Scorpio Moons are more guarded in their self-expression than the Scorpio Sun. So, people aren’t usually aware that Scorpio Moons desire such power.
𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝐴𝑟𝑐𝘩𝑒𝑟
Tumblr media
With a Sagittarius Moon, you have an inner restlessness and a grand desire for independence. This aspect wants to discover the boundaries between the known and the undiscovered.
The mother for this moon was likely a lifelong learner who sought enlightenment in spite of — and because of — trying life conditions. So important was self-discovery to this momma that she may have been somewhat absent mentally or physically.
They have a need for personal freedom and space
Natural storytellers
There’s a bit of a teacher in this placement, and definitely a helpful spirit
No matter the incident, trauma or horrific event, Sag Moons seek the silver lining
The difference between a Sagittarius Sun and a Sagittarius Moon is that Sag Sun’s are into philosophizing about the meanings of life, while Sag Moons want to go out and experience the meaning of life. They want to find out for themselves, rather than read and talk about it.
𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝑆𝑒𝑎𝑔𝑜𝑎𝑡
Tumblr media
With a Capricorn Moon, this aspect is often seen as unfeeling, however, they have big emotions just like every other sign. But they hate letting people see that side of themselves. Not much for taking risks in life, Lunar Capricorns look for safety and security in most everything they do. They desire to build something of enduring value.
The mother in the lives of those with natal moon in Capricorn was a bit of a perfectionist with little patience for the learning through failure modality of children. As a result, people with this placement develop adult sensibilities and self-discipline very early on.
Being useful and productive are basic needs for Cap Moons
They have a hard time asking for help or human tenderness as they were raised not to expect it
Need to feel worthwhile in the real world
The difference between a Capricorn Sun and a Capricorn Moon is that even though they both strive for prominence, Cap Suns aren’t shy about showing it. They’re open and forthcoming. Comparatively, Cap Moons are more guarded and cautious in their expressions.
𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝑊𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟-𝐵𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑟
Tumblr media
With an Aquarius Moon, they tend to make brilliant friends, allies and activists. They make a point of never leaving anyone out, and will fight for the rights of others. They crusade for equality. This aspect is the domain of oddballs and anarchists.
The mother figure related to this lunar placement was a combination of erratic flakiness and progressive thinking. She likely fared better with teenagers she could talk to rather then-toddlers she was responsible for.
They are lifetime students of human nature
Unpredictable yet charming
They are intellectuals who want to dismantle harmful or limiting social structures
The difference between an Aquarius Sun and an Aquarius Moon is most obvious when they’re confronted with an emotional person; Aquarius Moons tend to shun the emotion and avoids it at all costs. Aqua Moons will provide a wise solution, while Aqua Suns are still awkward with emotional people - they are more likely to relate emotionally. Show empathy and/or sympathy.
𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐬 | 𝑇𝘩𝑒 𝐹𝑖𝑠𝘩
Tumblr media
With a Pisces Moon, they are often seen as ‘dreamy’ or ... ‘spaced out,’ however, they are much mre intune with the world around them then people realise. People often perceive this aspect to be weak, though they don’t undertand that it is acceptance, rather than weakness.
The mother for those with this moon was one of two extreme archetypes: either a martyr/saint who did all for all, or a wounded bird that required a certain degree of caretaking from her own children.
They desire to nurture and to be nurtured
Pisces Moons put themselves in the role of rescuer
They can easily feel the emotions and trauma of others
The difference between a Pisces Sun and a Pisces Moon is that the latter doesn’t wear their stereotypes like Pisces Suns do. Pisces Moons are less obvious, yet it’s deeper and more powerful.

Hello! I will be doing some short pick a card's to help see if I'm the reader for you! Today we'll be doing a personality reading with my astrology oracle cards. Let's go!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left → Right / Pile 1 → Pile 4)
Decks Used: The Arcana or Astrology, Astrological Oracle Cards, claves astrologicae, astrological dice
Disclaimer | Pinned | Tip Jar | Paid Readings
Tumblr media
Pile One
Cards: Pallas Athena, Eighth House, Eleventh House, Fourth House, Cancer, Pluto Rx, Sun, First House, Solar Eclipse, Virgo, Capricorn, Eighth, Saturn
So far I’m not really getting *you*, I feel nothing. Not in a bad way, but everything is about other people. Which is funny because I have a video I haven’t started yet about how a character’s transformation throughout a series is through his relationships, which I think is what you offer to others. It’s not a subconscious thing, it feels as if you actively seek to help people or point out issues within relationships or people so they can fix them. You value bonds and community and you like things to be even. However this isn’t just you so let’s dig a bit deeper.
Ah I was just thinking ‘they probably really need to feel comfortable’ just as Cancer flew out. Mmm you might have fourth house placements not necessarily Cancer ones, but it’s just more about being easily...frazzled? Oh you’re difficult to explain lol. It’s not that you’re easily frazzled because you can confront/spot these issues within others and it’s not simple things like ‘oh well did you talk to them’, it’s usually deep wounds that long conversations unearth. However at the same time you’re very simple and a bit introverted? This introversion is mainly because you feel more comfortable around people you know or in places you’re familiar with, but you also make people around you feel comfortable enough to be that vulnerable. I’m doing it again- did you. Pick Pile 2 from my pac fooreeeveerr ago when I couldn’t even focus on you - for what makes you attractive. A lot of your personality is like a guiding light, which is a bit annoying because that’s not really describing you it’s about your effect on others you know. So what I can get from that is...you might hold a lot of stuff in. With Pluto coming out in reverse, because I always take my oracles upright, it feels like struggling to deal with that energy on your own. However you have all of this glowing energy to welcome others so that they can be loved and comforted even though you can’t do that for yourself.
Solar! Oh, are you one of my cardinal siblings?! I would guess signs but whenever I pull this section they never match hehe, but I did guess maybe a Cancer Rising, however that doesn’t add up — I’m rambling. Understanding why I took Perfectionist, you sometimes present yourself as someone who needs to always seem okay. I don’t think it’s physically? It’s more like that Virgo cringe of being wrong or making mistakes or like. Existing, let’s be real lmao. However you are very open to new phases in your thinking or view of the world — which does remind me of when people do room makeovers. Changing their aesthetic for something else? It’s like you sometimes do that with who you are (forgiving of your core values). As I said, this section tends to be people’s view which can sometimes conflict with the first pull, but in this case it can match up because the Eleventh can speak to group integration and the Eighth can be constant transformation, just not in the way people seem to think.
Okay with your last roll you have to have some Cardinal dominance with Eighth house placements lmao, happy Solar Eclipse! Really the only thing to add is that you might be a bit restrictive with how you express/present yourself? As in you overthink or you feel like you’re not allowed to do certain things because you didn’t suffer enough for it? Unfortunately problems and emotions will always present themselves regardless of your status, you don’t have to be at a certain level to be frustrated, it’s okay. Also you feel a bit goofy, I hope you’re allowed to let that side out enough.
Songs: Friends – Flight of the Conchords, Girls & Boys – Good Charlotte, Perfectionist – Flash Forward, Drew Barrymore – SZA
Tumblr media
Pile Two
Cards: Twelfth House, Hygeia, Last Quarter Moon, Sixth House, Sun, Venus, Jupiter, First Quarter, Seventh House, Uranus, Aries, Eleventh, North Node
Oh? Well, as a side note the cards came out without issue, so there’s a feeling that you know yourself quite well. More than you might realize because I feel like you...there’s a feeling of you making adjustments for yourself without realizing. There’s a house opposition but it feels like it’s working well so far here. In tune with your body and soul, so when something feels off or you’re feeling sluggish, you make adjustments to one portion of your life and you’ll be feeling a bit better the next week. There’s also a pretty forward quality here about you, you don’t pretend to be anything you’re not and you’re down to earth. This first pull can also point to a healing quality about you — the dynamic of the 6th & 12th can usually have someone who ends up working for charities or having a natural ability to help others in some form underneath their daily routine.
I already had a feeling this pile was something else. I don’t know there is a very relaxed energy about your. Even while listening to your first song, it still felt more calm despite the meaning of the song? Considering these are Benefics and The Sun, it’s like you do your best to always look on the bright side of things. I mean yes this can point to overindulging and running away from issues, especially since we got the Twelfth, but I’m feeling more tranquil and like...happy. I’m not getting negativity. So it’s just minding your business and trying to live a peaceful life. Also lowkey spiritual/philosophical, always looking for more.
Not surprised by these cards. Due to your actual energy, you seem very harmonious and pleasant to be around. However looking at these songs I’m getting it’s clear that you’ve experienced connections/situations that weren’t so pleasant. As I mentioned before, you’re someone who prefers to live a happy life, you don’t want to stay in negative places. It’s reflected in these cards that you’re very determined to move on and live the life that you want. From the perspective that you might’ve just had the worst thing happen to you and you’ve moved on next week, it can seem a bit perplexing to others haha.
Oh! That’s interesting. There is that peaceful energy to you, but due to what you experienced you want to protect others. Not in a sacrificial way, but you want to implement change. You’re not someone who wants to sit around and wait to protect after the incident has occurred. Very passionate, possible leader material, and so much care to those around you and the community that you could foster. I absolutely love your energy.
Songs: Best of You – Foo Fighters, When the Day Met the Night – Panic! At the Disco, Demons – Imagine Dragons, Awake and Alive – Skillet

Pile Three
Cards: Virgo, Sun, Taurus, Hygeia, Sagittarius, Pisces, Cancer Rx
I keep being drawn into the hole on the Sun card. I’m getting nothing else, so I think right now there is some healing that needs to be done to the ego — or identity. To piece this together, it’s like someone is being too self-critical of who they are, and to solve this they need to implement self care because I also got that. That could just be parts of the personality but I’m getting. Nothing. Let me see.
Oh my god I can’t read any of this literally. Sag-Pisces makes me think of Jupiter influence, and could point to avoidance for this particular reason. It feels like being asked what to drink, not knowing what to choose so asking to try everything. Everything feels very flimsy, so either I have a lot of people within this pile or we just need to work on who we are at our core a bit longer which is just what happens in life. Cancer being in reversed is also important, because I never take my oracles that way unless they fly out as such. This signifies a lack of nurturing in some sort. Or the emotions are being pushed to the side. Ego can’t survive without emotion — it’s just a paper bag at that point. It feels more like trying to fit into another archetype or be someone that you’re not? Like following trends as an example. I’m pulling advice for you, one second.
Energy to Embrace: Whale, Oyster, Peacock
Yeah, you have to embrace your own qualities and put them back out into the world. All of these cards show that there has been some damage done, so I can understand that there is some insecurity or fear in doing that, but masking as someone else is not the answer and it’s causing more internal confusion/damage. You have gifts that the world should see. Everyone does. We each have something that no one else can offer, which is why we’re here. Don’t water yourself down just because someone else believes you deserve to be. Work on yourself bit by bit and I hope next time I can see this pile glowing.
**As I was finishing up I realized the first song could be from another point of view towards you and you're the second song, but that might only resonate for a few people**
Songs: Oogie Boogie's Song — Ed Ivory and Ken Page, Read Your Mind – Tayla Parx
Tumblr media
Pile Four
Cards: Venus, First Quarter Moon, Cancer, Eros, Libra, Gemini, Cancer, Third House, Seventh House, Virgo, Second, Sagittarius, Uranus
Enjoying the finer things in life and all of it’s pleasures. I’m not really feeling an intense energy besides you starting off with a Britney song but it feels more like...hidden intensity. When pushed you’ll bite back. Besides that pretty calm? You know your worth and you’ve very giving to others. Can be a bit infatuated with the idea of love, but I don’t think it’s too unrealistic or imbalanced. You’re very peaceful but also determined to achieve your goals.
Not all my favorite signs??? So you definitely enjoy interacting with others, definitely flirting with and annoying people as well. I’m still getting a really chill energy despite having these signs hit the table haha. I think you’re pretty sweet, enjoy giving your time to others and would appreciate the same back *most* of the time. You can be sensitive to the energy around you considering we got both Venus and Eros before. I can see the messiness from here but I will look away because it’s funny.
Yeah, relationships are pretty important to you. Doesn’t have to be romantic, just making the connection with others puts a smile on your face. You could also be seen as someone who is really easy to get along with. Another thing is you might be known in your community? Like local, not a big name. I’m not sure why it shot out with that, but 3rd is giving me that your parents talk a lot or they’re very involved, therefore people end up knowing you. You could also be very dedicated to what you do? Maybe not a perfectionist but you take your job or craft seriously? So you could be seen as very intelligent or very gifted due to your ‘spotless’ record haha.
Okay also maybe a bit of a smart-ass because the second I said ‘what the hell is this’ I got the last song — which is basically ‘I do whatever I want’. I don’t think that’s your dominant personality, but as I said before there are times where people test you or think lowly of you and that’s when it comes out. Like ‘ah they’re too spineless to do that’ and then you do it to prove them wrong or just piss them off honestly. With the second house I don’t think it’s money that’s a concern, but more like that items that you have, or the clothes. It’s like how you’re seen and present yourself, which can be counted as valuables because they reflect you. Sagittarius and Uranus are both outspoken and well, you want to make sure you’re noticed sometimes.
Songs: Piece of Me – Britney Spears, OT – John K, Speak — DBMK, ^_^ – CHANMINA

A fellow enjoyer of mairuma who likes reading others headcanons/interpretations here! just thought I'd share my own headcanons
1.) I think the misfits lack parental validation from one or more parental figures so they seek that validation from someone else, like Kalego. He, as their homeroom teacher, knows full well what they're capable of and actively gives them harder challenges to further bring out their potential. So I think the misfits would seek near impossible tasks not just for the fun of it, but to receive validation from someone they look up to.
2.) I believe that Kalego shows his love in pride. And when I say love, I mean all love; familial, romantic, platonic, and the kind that you know is there but don't have a name for. I guess a good example would be Balam, his closest friend and well-respected researcher. Balam would have achieved great things in his field of research and Kalego would be very proud of him for it, though I doubt he would explicitly show it. The same would go for his students. A mix-match group of kids who have, more than once, taken the impossible and made it reality while proving him wrong every chance they get.
(also a small group of demon plus one human children have better cooperation skills than most adult demons. yes demons are self-centered but i do think its really funny.)
well, these are my headcanons sorry if its really wordy. what are your thoughts on them and what are your mairuma headcanons?
thx for reading and have a good day/night :D
I have been fully focused into my classes and college recently since I’m in my third year (we’re so close to the finishing line yall) but YES I love this!! One, I appreciate you sending me this since I haven’t done a post for a while! I promise im still here and I’m keeping up with the recent chapters 🫡. But yeah, I just love Kalego as a character. Like, he really is my favorite because I love a rude and snide character who you can tell cares a lot. Even if he won’t tell you that.
Kalego cares deeply for his students. Like sure, they annoy him and are goofballs. But at the end of the day, he is also protective of them. He knows they can accomplish great things and that’s why he’s hard on them, it’s not due to a lack of love. His pride is his way of showing affection. He will do his damnest to make sure you succeed and through his little actions, the characters can tell that he’s proud of them too. It’s the little moments with Kalego that make them know he does deeply care for them.
And yes, I also have a head cannon that for many of the misfits, they are lacking in some sort of parental or familiar love. Obviously we can’t say this for certain for all the characters, but it just feels like that’s why, no matter how much they complain about him, he also means a lot to them too.
As for my other head cannons… One head cannon I have (with the little info we have so far) is that Elizabetta grew up similarly to that little girl from Ouran Host Club, ya know the sister of the black magic club president? That is to say, I think she’s loaded but was primarily raised by her maids who gave her a lot of the romance books to keep her entertained. I think her parents were never really around. Or if they were, they don’t have her a ton of attention. I guess this is more of a head cannon slash theory? But when we see the house visits, we don’t even see her parents. A lot of them you saw the parents, a back shot or their torso. Something. We even saw Kalego call some of the parents. But her parents just wasn’t in the frame and she just kept showing him the things in her room which gives me the feeling she had a lot of material goods they bought her, but maybe not their affection. We also don’t see any adult when we learn about her ambition. Which is why I think she’s so attached to love, she is reaching for a connection she may not feel she has with her parents. And maybe in a way, she’s wants to build a family that will actually appreciate her the way she wants. Which to me makes the relationship to the misfits even more special because she finally has the love and pride of her found family. Idk, just a silly head cannon I have based on current knowledge!

It’s really nothing new to have a flood of texts and emails spamming his phone after class. The fact that it’s nothing new these days is very new. It’s such a wild change from how things were before he came to Iwatodai that sometimes it’s overwhelming. Minato actually kind of enjoys it despite that– or maybe a little bit because of it– even if he does leave most of them on read.
He’s never had so many friends before. If he’s completely, brutally honest with himself about it, he’s really never had any friends before. None that really counted, anyway. None that had stuck around after one too many conversations where he said too little, or worse– said something they didn’t want to hear.
Now he has a whole compendium of people who know exactly what he’s like and still not only tolerate his company, but actively seek it– and all of them want to hang out at the same time. So now it’s the opposite problem, maybe?
Most of them understand and don’t take offense. Sometimes Tomochika and Miyamoto are a little pushy– or very pushy in Miyamoto’s case– but otherwise it’s fine. It’s a much nicer problem to have, all things considered. It’s been what’s kept his head above water for the past two weeks.
Minato scrolls through his phone, reading through today’s invitations. The track team does have practice today, and lo and behold, there’s Miyamoto’s trademark capslock enthusiasm right at the top of his inbox– but that’s not what grabs his attention. Just below Miyamoto’s is a message from someone he definitely wasn’t expecting.
It’s Aragaki. The subject line reads “Need a favor”.
Minato can count on one hand the number of times Aragaki has messaged him personally, so it must be important. But then why not say something about it when everyone had visited yesterday? He opens the email, curiosity climbing.
Sorry to ask, but I need you to grab something from my desk and bring it to me. You’ll know it when you see it. Door should be unlocked.
Straight and to the point, just like always. He can practically hear how Aragaki would say it, the exact matter-of-fact tone he’d use.
He’s got no proof, but Minato has an inkling as to what Aragaki is referring to. Or at least, he knows what he hopes that Aragaki means. If his hunch is right, then it explains perfectly why he’s asking Minato for this favor instead of Sanada or Mitsuru, and why he wouldn’t have wanted to bring it up in front of everyone else.
He’ll be missing track practice today, it seems. Minato can’t turn down this request for anything. He hopes Miyamoto and Yuko will understand.
He finds exactly what he’d been hoping to find in Aragaki’s desk drawer.
He can’t help the soft smile that tugs at the corners of his mouth at the sight of  the familiar envelope. On the paperwork inside, the date and reason are blank, but…
The signature is unmistakable. That’s Aragaki’s handwriting.
His smile falters. A part of him wonders if this is just some kind of mind game. Maybe Aragaki just intends to tear the form up, and he knows Minato is the only one who would blithely bring it right to him. He doesn’t want to think that Aragaki is that cruel, but…
Well. Okay. Minato knows he isn’t. While that’s certainly the sort of sick prank that the world might play on him, it’s not something Aragaki would ever do. He’s kind of surprised that such a vehemently bitter idea even crossed his mind.
So maybe he is still… a little miffed… that Aragaki so blatantly lied to him. And went off to die without a word. And catapulted him into the nightmare memory of another hospital bed, another figure being consumed by wires and machinery. That last one isn’t really Aragaki’s fault, but Minato still can’t help being upset.
It really is the lie that bothers him the most, though. It’s a little unnerving, how much it’s getting under his skin, when normally Minato wouldn’t be this upset, or even upset at all, about being lied to. Minato hadn’t felt this way when Yukari confronted Mitsuru about all the secrets she was keeping. He hadn’t cared what Mitsuru had been hiding. Honesty just never has been a sore point with him. So…why does this feel so different?
The only way he’s going to get any real answers or closure is to see this favor through to the finish. Minato pockets the envelope and makes his way back to the hospital.
The smell of antiseptic hits him like a truck as soon as he crosses the threshold into the lobby. How does Junpei stand spending so much of his time here? Or Sanada, for that matter, who had come here every day since Aragaki was admitted. It makes him want to sprint right back out into the open air just thinking about doing the same.
He arrives at Aragaki’s door. He seems to have skipped a few steps– he’s gone straight from the entryway to the patient wing without a single recollection of speaking to the receptionist or walking through the halls. Aragaki is awake in there, Minato sternly reminds himself. It’s his friend on the other side of that door, not an empty shell that used to be him.
He knocks, and obeys when he’s bid to come inside. Aragaki regards him quietly for a few seconds. There aren’t any other visitors right now; Sanada must still be in practice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Minato nods and produces the envelope from his pocket. Aragaki nods as he takes it, but his expression is subdued and unreadable.
Tumblr media
He tucks it away into the drawer on the small side table to his left. He looks back at Minato and frowns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Minato doesn’t respond. Aragaki blinks, surprise softening his features for half a second before the scowl settles back into place.
Tumblr media
Minato doesn’t feel his face doing anything in particular. He wonders vaguely what Aragaki sees in his expression, but decides it’s better not to ask. Time to move on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Minato must be making another face, because Aragaki rolls his eyes.
Tumblr media
He’s got permission to leave if he so chooses. That’s clearly what Aragaki expects, but leaving things like this on such a sour note doesn’t sit well with Minato at all.
Neither of them are good at talking, but there’s quite a bit Minato knows needs to be said. As leader, it really is his job, and… it’s his job as a friend, too.
Aragaki must take his silence the wrong way again and scowls at him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part of Minato does really want to tear into him, craves the catharsis of it. Aragaki even seems to want him to as well, as if to prove some kind of point to himself. But Minato doesn’t think there’s anything he could say that Sanada wouldn’t have already.
Besides, being angry is exhausting. Minato’s already tired enough.
He settles himself in one of the chairs at Aragaki’s bedside and folds his hands in his lap.
“I…want to apologize,” he says.
“Huh?” Aragaki looks surprised again. Minato wonders if having his emotions put on shuffle like that is as draining for Aragaki as it would be for him.
“Everyone else visited you at least once before you woke up, but… I didn’t. I was too scared. I didn’t want to see you like that, Senpai.”
Aragaki just blinks at him, as though Minato’s apology is so far from what he’d been expecting that he’s stuck in a frozen state as he tries to process it. Minato wonders if this is what people mean when they tell him that his long silences and stares make them uncomfortable.
“You…” Aragaki shakes his head, exasperated.
Minato pushes forward. “So… I’m sorry. For being such a coward.”
“Cut that out, seriously. You don’t need to– I wasn’t even awake. S’not like I would’ve known if you were here or not.”
“Still.”
“The hell d’you mean, ‘still’? Just forget about it. It’s fine.” Aragaki sighs hugely, and his voice softens when he speaks again. “I mean that. It’s fine.”
“It’s really not though. Not to me. I don’t want you to think I don’t care.”
“You’re really sayin’ that like it ain’t your catchphrase?” Aragaki scoffs.
“Got me there,” Minato says with another ghost of a smile. Now that he’s on the other end of it, Minato suddenly has a better appreciation of what Aragaki said to him a month ago at Hagakure. It really is refreshing to have someone say something to you straight instead of beating around the bush. “But I’d like to visit now, if that’s okay.”
“...Look, that’s real sweet and everything, but I ain’t really in a chattin’ mood right now.”
“That’s fine,” Minato replies. “Neither am I. I pretty much never am.” He digs into his bag and pulls out a book, opening it across his knees. He runs his thumb over the edge of the pages, worn to moth-wing softness by age. “But I’ll still be here.”
Aragaki doesn’t answer, so Minato shifts his attention fully to his book. He only gets through about a page and a half before Aragaki’s grumbling voice cuts into the silence again. “...Anyone ever tell you you’re a goddamn weirdo?”
“Junpei says that a lot, actually.”
“Hmph. Well don’t tell Junpei I agree with him on that,” Aragaki says, his mouth twisting wryly to one side. “It’ll go to his head.”
“You got it, Senpai.”
Aragaki makes a sound that might be a scoff, but might also be a suppressed laugh, and just like that the tension in the air dissipates. The next couple of hours pass mostly in silence, but pleasantly. Minato doles out books to Aragaki, and to Fuuka and Sanada when they arrive. They have occasional fragments of conversation amongst themselves, particularly after Mitsuru arrives near the end of visiting hours.
It feels comfortable, normal. The smell of old paper and bookbinding glue overpowers that of medicinal sterility. Minato even manages to forget, for just a moment, that they’re in a hospital at all.

twilight jasper/The Major x poc reader
a fanfic where the reader who is human, half japanese and half black has the powers like Storm from Xmen, she has black hair but the hair turns white . She is 5 feet 6 inches but grows to 6ft 5in when her power is activated. She is meeting The Major for the first time when another vampire tries to attack them, he goes to protect her by telling her to run and hide not knowing about her powers yet. But she steps in front of him, destroying the vampire with her powers. She turns around to The Major gives him a smile before passing out
I like this idea since this seems more like a oc rather then an x reader story I’m gonna switch some things around if you don’t mind, so like the major I’ll have the reader have an alternate personality like jasper does and the side that turn into basically storm that’ll be her form she takes so unlike jasper who just turns into the major the other side of the reader will physically turn as well
↱ the storms rolling in ↰

The rain pounded relentlessly on the rooftops of the quaint town of Forks, Washington. Mist hung in the air like a shroud, casting a mysterious atmosphere over the sleepy community. For (y/n), it was a new beginning, a chance to escape the familiar and embrace the unknown.
Born to a Japanese mother and an African American father, (y/n) was a mesmerizing blend of cultures. With a cascade of ebony curls and striking amber eyes, she was a rarity that drew curious glances wherever she went. But what truly set her apart were the powers she possessed – a gift inherited from her ancestors. Like Storm from the X-Men, she could command the elements, harnessing the winds, summoning lightning, and stirring the very skies with her emotions.
Growing up in her hometown had been a whirlwind of discovery and secrecy. Her parents had always urged her to conceal her abilities, fearing the backlash from a world that wasn't ready to accept such supernatural phenomena. But as (y/n) matured, so did her longing for freedom, for a place where she could be herself without fear of judgment.
Forks had never been a part of her plans, but life has a way of guiding you down unexpected paths. The town held an enigmatic allure, with its ever-present cloud cover and lush forests. It was as if the weather itself echoed her turbulent emotions, mirroring the storm that raged within her heart.
The decision to leave her hometown behind wasn't easy, but it was necessary. Armed with a few belongings, her powers, and an insatiable curiosity, (y/n) embarked on a journey to Forks. The small house she now stood in front of was modest, yet it felt like a sanctuary – a place where she could redefine herself and forge her own destiny.
As she stepped through the door, the air felt charged with anticipation, like the calm before a tempest. Little did she know that her arrival would set into motion a series of events that would challenge everything she thought she knew about herself and the world around her.
In the heart of this rain-soaked town, (y/n) would find not only new friendships but also the answers she had been seeking. Unbeknownst to her, there were others who carried secrets of their own, mysteries that would intertwine their fates in ways they could never have foreseen.
And so, the journey of (y/n) began – a journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and the realization that sometimes, the storm within can be a source of power, not just destruction.
The fluorescent lights of the local supermarket illuminated the aisles, casting a sterile glow on the neatly organized shelves. (y/n) wandered through the maze of products, her thoughts consumed by the shopping list in her hand. She had grown accustomed to her height, but there were still moments when being 5'6" posed a challenge, like when she tried to reach for an item placed high on a shelf.
Stretching on her tiptoes, she reached out, fingertips grazing the edge of the box she needed. Just as she was about to give up, a shadow fell across her path. Looking up, she met the gaze of a tall, burly man with a friendly smile. He towered over her, his presence larger than life.
"Need a hand?" he asked, his deep voice resonating through the aisle. Without waiting for her answer, he effortlessly plucked the item off the shelf and handed it to her.
"Thank you so much," (y/n) replied with a grateful smile, bowing slightly, a gesture she had picked up from her Japanese heritage. "I really appreciate it."
Emmett, for that was his name, chuckled warmly. "No problem at all. Glad I could help."
As they stood facing each other, an unspoken connection formed between them. It was as if they recognized something familiar in each other's eyes, a shared understanding that transcended the simple act of reaching for a box on a shelf.
"So, what brings you to Forks?" Emmett asked, genuinely curious.
(y/n) hesitated for a moment before answering, "I wanted a fresh start, a place where I can be myself without any pretenses."
Emmett nodded, his expression empathetic. "I get that. Sometimes a change of scenery can be exactly what you need."
As they continued talking, (y/n) and Emmett discovered a surprising common interest – video games. Their conversation flowed effortlessly as they exchanged stories about their favorite games, strategies, and epic victories. Their laughter echoed through the supermarket aisle, drawing curious glances from passersby.
As they strolled along, a colorful poster caught (y/n)'s attention – a local gaming event showcasing the latest releases. She couldn't help but express her excitement.
Emmett's eyes lit up with a mischievous grin. "You know, there's a gaming setup at my place. We could try out some of those new releases together if you're interested."
Surprised but intrigued, (y/n) considered his offer. The idea of spending time with a new friend, indulging in their shared passion, was too tempting to resist.
"That sounds amazing," she replied, her smile growing wider.
And just like that, an invitation to dinner turned into a burgeoning friendship that neither of them had anticipated. As they left the supermarket, their conversation flowed effortlessly, touching on everything from games to their personal stories.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the town of Forks in a warm twilight glow, (y/n) followed Emmett's directions to his home. The quaint, inviting house nestled among the trees seemed like a cozy haven against the encroaching darkness. The sound of leaves rustling in the gentle breeze created a serene backdrop as she approached the front door.
Emmett answered the door with a bright grin, welcoming (y/n) inside. "Glad you could make it! This is home."
Stepping into the house, (y/n) was met with the warm scent of home-cooked food and the gentle hum of conversation. As she entered the living room, her eyes widened at the sight of the welcoming faces that turned to greet her.
"Hey there!" Emmett's voice was infused with genuine enthusiasm as he introduced her to his family. "This is my adoptive mother, Esme, and these are my siblings, Edward, Bella, and Alice."
Warm smiles and kind words of welcome enveloped (y/n), putting her at ease in this unfamiliar environment. Esme was gracious and inviting, expressing genuine delight at having her over. As conversation flowed, (y/n) found herself gravitating towards Esme in the kitchen, where they worked side by side to prepare dinner.
Esme's gentle guidance and (y/n)'s willingness to learn made them an efficient team. The scent of cooking filled the air as they chopped vegetables, shared stories, and forged a connection that felt surprisingly natural.
As they worked, the sound of approaching footsteps caught their attention. A tall, blonde figure lingered in the doorway, watching with a guarded expression. Rosalie's gaze met (y/n)'s, and for a moment, there was an unspoken understanding.
"Don't mind Rosalie and Jasper," Emmett chimed in, offering a reassuring smile. "They have their own way of dealing with new people."
Alice, who had appeared beside Rosalie, grinned and added, "They just have a little difficulty being around people they're not familiar with."
(y/n) nodded in understanding. "I used to be the same way as a child. Meeting new people was always a bit overwhelming."
As dinner preparations continued, (y/n) glanced towards Jasper and Rosalie. With a respectful nod, she took a step towards them and offered a polite bow, a gesture of acknowledgment that she had carried from her Japanese heritage.
"Thank you for allowing me into your home," she said softly. "I understand it might be uncomfortable having someone new around, but I appreciate your hospitality."
Jasper and Rosalie exchanged a glance before Jasper offered a nod, his demeanor softer. "It's not easy for us, but we're working on it. Thanks for understanding."
Rosalie's lips curved into a small smile, her guardedness easing just a bit. "Yeah, what he said."
Returning their smiles, (y/n) felt a sense of camaraderie with the Cullen siblings. As the evening progressed, laughter and stories intertwined, weaving a tapestry of connection that was forged through shared experiences and an openness to understanding one another.
In the heart of the Cullen home, (y/n) had found not only a group of unique individuals but also a place where acceptance and understanding reigned, much like the storm within her that had the power to bring both destruction and renewal.
Time had flown by since (y/n) had become a part of the Cullen family's circle, and what began as a chance encounter had blossomed into deep friendships. The bonds she had formed with Emmett, Esme, Alice, Rosalie, Jasper and Bella and the even others had become an integral part of her life in Forks.
Firstly she found out some shocking news, the cullens we’re vampires. Well it wasn’t that shocking but damn what a secret you know?!
One sunny afternoon, as they gathered in the Cullen home's living room, conversations flowed easily. (y/n) felt entirely at home amidst the laughter and shared stories. As she recounted an incident in town where she had faced some unwanted attention, Jasper's face tightened with a controlled anger she hadn't seen before.
Intrigued by his reaction, (y/n) looked directly at him. "It was strange, really. This guy just wouldn't take no for an answer, and then out of nowhere, Jasper stepped in and, well, let's just say things got a little intense."
Emmett let out a hearty chuckle. "Yeah, Jazz here has a way of making his point crystal clear."
Jasper's eyes shifted, almost as if he was remembering something he'd rather not. "Well, sometimes people need a reminder to respect boundaries."
Sensing that there was more to the story than what met the eye, (y/n) pressed on. "You seemed really protective, Jasper. Did something else happen?"
Jasper hesitated for a moment, his gaze flickering between (y/n) and the floor. Before he could respond, Emmett, in a moment of uncharacteristic bluntness, let out a small chuckle and said, "He's just being all 'major' about it."
The room fell into an awkward silence, and (y/n) locked eyes with Jasper, her curiosity mixed with concern. "Major? What do you mean?"
Jasper sighed, his shoulders slumping. "It's... complicated."
Emmett's eyes widened as he realized his mistake, but before he could attempt to correct it, Jasper straightened up, his expression becoming more composed.
"Truth is, (y/n)," Jasper began, his voice holding a note of seriousness, "I have developed feelings for you. Strong ones. In the vampire world, it's more than just attraction. I see you as a suitable mate, and well... I guess that's why I reacted the way I did."
A shocked silence fell over the room as (y/n) processed his words. She could feel the heat rise to her cheeks, her heart pounding a little faster in her chest. Jasper's confession left her momentarily speechless, her mind a whirlwind of emotions.
Esme, always the peacemaker, gently broke the silence. "Jasper, dear, I think it's important for (y/n) to understand your perspective."
Jasper nodded, his eyes never leaving (y/n)'s face. "You see, I can feel and manipulate emotions. I've been trained to sense danger, to protect my family, and I couldn't bear to see you uncomfortable or threatened."
(y/n) took a deep breath, trying to process the sudden revelation. Her own feelings were in turmoil, a mixture of flattery, surprise, and confusion. She met Jasper's gaze and spoke softly, "I... appreciate your honesty. But this is a lot to take in."
Jasper nodded in understanding, his expression a blend of hope and anxiety. "I didn't expect you to reciprocate immediately. I just wanted you to know the truth."
The vulnerability in Jasper's eyes was undeniable, and (y/n) felt a wave of empathy wash over her. She took another deep breath and offered a tentative smile. "Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me this, Jasper.
“Please…call me major,” says jasper or well the major?!
“Well major, I need some time to process everything."
Jasper's lips curled into a relieved smile. "Of course, take all the time you need."
As the room gradually returned to its natural state of camaraderie, (y/n) realized that this unanticipated revelation was a testament to the depth of connection she had with the Cullens. Amidst the supernatural complexities, she was navigating the intricacies of both friendship and emotion, much like the storm that raged within her own heart.
As days turned into weeks, (y/n) found herself replaying Jasper's confession in her mind. She appreciated his honesty, but the weight of his feelings had left her slightly overwhelmed. She knew that a conversation with him was inevitable, and as the afternoon sun bathed the Cullen home in a warm glow, she decided that it was time to address the unspoken tension.
Approaching Jasper, who was sitting in the living room with a book, (y/n) cleared her throat to get his attention. "Jasper, can we talk?"
Jasper glanced up from his book, his expression a mix of surprise and anticipation. "Of course, (y/n). What's on your mind?"
"I think we need to discuss what you told me," she began, her voice steady despite the fluttering in her chest. "I appreciate your feelings, but I need to know more. I need to understand what this means for us."
Jasper set his book aside, his eyes locked onto (y/n)'s. "I understand, and I'm here to answer any questions you have."
Taking a deep breath, (y/n) hesitated for a moment before suggesting, "Would you like to take a walk with me? It might be easier to talk outside."
Jasper nodded, his expression softening. "Sure, a walk sounds good."
As they strolled along a forested path near the Cullen home, (y/n) found the tranquility of nature to be the perfect backdrop for their conversation. The rustling of leaves and the distant songs of birds provided a calming soundtrack to their words.
"I want you to know that I value our friendship a lot, Jasper," (y/n) began, her voice gentle. "But your confession... it caught me off guard. I need time to figure out my own feelings and what this could mean for us."
Jasper's eyes held a mixture of understanding and empathy. "I respect that, (y/n). I never meant to make you uncomfortable."
Just as the conversation seemed to be heading towards a more peaceful resolution, a sudden rustling in the bushes nearby drew their attention. Before either of them could react, a blur of movement materialized, and another vampire stood before them.
"Ronny?" (y/n) gasped, disbelief washing over her.
The newcomer, Ronny, grinned wickedly, his eyes flashing crimson. "Well, well, (y/n). I never thought I'd run into you again."
Jasper's posture tensed, his instincts alert. "Who is this?"
“My childhood friend…”
Ignoring Jasper's question, Ronny's gaze remained fixed on (y/n). "You look surprised to see me. Did you think you could just disappear without consequences?"
Before (y/n) could respond, Ronny lunged at her, his intention clear. Instinctively, Jasper stepped in between them, his movements impossibly swift. A collision of supernatural strength and skill erupted as Jasper blocked Ronny's attack, his combat prowess on full display.
Realizing the danger, (y/n) instinctively stepped back, her heart racing. The situation had escalated far more quickly than she could have imagined. She watched as Jasper and Ronny engaged in a fierce struggle, her mind racing for a solution.
"(Y/n), run and hide!" He shouted, hoping his words would reach her amidst the chaos.
The clash of their powers created a cacophony of sound, echoing through the forest. The situation grew dire, and (y/n) felt her instincts take over.
Drawing upon the powers she had long kept hidden, (y/n) summoned a gust of wind, whipping through the air with a force that sent leaves and debris spiraling around her. She directed the winds towards Ronny, creating a barrier between him and Jasper.
“(Y/n)?!” Spoke two voices.
With wide eyes all both vampires could do was watch as (y/n)’s appearance transformed. (Y/n) felt a strange surge of energy building within her. The winds around her intensified, swirling with an intensity that matched the storm within her heart. Suddenly, her body began to transform, her form elongating and growing. Her clothes strained against her expanding frame until they could no longer contain her altered proportions.
In mere seconds, her height soared to a towering 6 feet 5 inches. Her once-ebony hair turned an ethereal shade of white, and her eyes underwent a dramatic transformation. They transformed into a striking sight, the irises resembling those of a blind person, milky white with glowing, pulsating thunderbolt-like veins that electrified the very air around her.
The air crackled with energy, and (y/n)'s alternate self emerged, fierce and imposing. Her torn clothing hung loosely from her powerful frame as she faced Ronny, her gaze locked onto his with an intensity that sent a shiver down his spine.
The Major and Ronnys attention shifted to a stunned halt as they took in the transformation before him. Ronny recognized the power emanating from (y/n)'s alternate self, a power that was clearly beyond human comprehension, someone who (y/n) would say she could see in her dreams as a child.
Ronny, momentarily disoriented by the unexpected turn of events, hesitated, his overconfidence momentarily shattered. This was not the (y/n) he had expected to face.
With a burst of lightning-like energy, (y/n)'s alternate self lunged at Ronny. The clash of their powers created shockwaves that rippled through the forest, causing trees to sway and leaves to rain down like a storm of confetti.
The battle was fierce and intense. Bolts of electricity danced across the air as (y/n)'s alternate self summoned the power of the elements. Her movements were fluid yet ferocious, every motion calculated to bring Ronny to his knees.
Ronny attempted to counter her attacks, but he was clearly outmatched. The power radiating from (y/n)'s alternate self seemed limitless, as if she had tapped into an otherworldly force.
With a final surge of power, (y/n)'s alternate self released a blast of energy that engulfed Ronny in a blinding light. The force of the impact sent shockwaves rippling through the ground, causing the earth to tremble beneath their feet.
As the light subsided, (y/n)'s alternate self stood amidst the aftermath, her chest heaving with the exertion of her powers. The air was charged with energy, and the forest around them bore witness to the clash of supernatural forces.
The major approached (y/n)'s alternate self cautiously, his eyes filled with awe and respect. "You saved us."
The transformation began to wane, and as (y/n)'s alternate self slowly reverted to her original form, she felt a mixture of exhaustion and satisfaction. She looked up at Jasper, her eyes returning to their familiar amber hue, and offered a small smile.
Jasper's expression held a newfound admiration. "You have powers too."
Nodding, (y/n) replied, "I didn’t know how to tell you.”
As the forest settled into a tranquil silence, the remnants of the battle scattered around them, (y/n) realized that the storm within her was no longer something to be feared. It was a source of strength, a power that could be harnessed to protect those she cared about.
“Sorry about this,” (y/n) apologized.
“Sorry for what?” Major questions. “This -“ and with that (y/n) passed out only to be caught by major.
In the aftermath of the battle, (y/n)'s world had once again shifted, unveiling layers of her identity she had yet to explore. The bond she shared with the Cullens had deepened further, and the storm within her heart had revealed itself as a force of nature that could bring both destruction and renewal.

i’d like to make an effort to get more involved in the fictionkin community, but the current climate of it is very confusing to me not gonna lie, particularly with the rise of the idea that a “kin” is a character you strongly relate to and nothing else
sometimes (especially on twitter) i see people claim being fictionkin has always meant just relating to the character, or having a deep connection, or even just Really Liking the character, but as far as i remember, that’s a really recent thing. like, i haven’t been too active in the fictkin community (yet), but i can’t recall that ever being a prevalent idea in years past. i’m still so used to fictionkin being a really niche concept, but now that it’s gained more popular attention on the internet, all sorts of new definitions and usages of terms have popped up
as a consequence, finding other fictionkin online has become a lot harder. these days, if i see someone say they’re kin with a character (or more commonly, they “kin a character”), i legitimately don’t know what they mean. are they like me? or would they think i’m “taking things too seriously”?
which takes me to another thing, the rise of misinformation on what it means to be fictionkin started a whole new wave of ostracizing and armchair diagnosing. i see people who are more familiar with the popular definition of fictionkinkin treat people whose experiences fit the original definition as if they’re weird or just straight up act ableist towards them. i see things like “it’s not that deep”, or “they’re taking it too far”. i even see people try to claim being fictionkin in the og way is inherently something you should seek mental help for, and i can’t really say anything about that other than what the fuck. i was used to people on the outside talking about us like that, but i definitely didn’t expect it to come from inside the house
AND LIKE i don’t wanna sound gatekeepy, not one bit. i hate it when people try to nitpick and dictate how things should be for everybody, but this shift in language is a special case because it’s now actively harder to engage with an already fringe community. i can’t think of any pros to it, plus there are and have always been other terms that could fit the “mainstream kin” experience. like otherhearted, or otherlink, or synpath, to name only a few. i’m sure anyone with common sense agrees this way of expression is completely valid and has its place in the community when done in good faith. it’s just that the rampant misinformation and misuse of terminology (not to mention the horrible toxicity) is actively pushing us out of our own spaces
anyway i dont know where to go with this, its just a little diary entry. shoutout to fellow fictionkin (or any otherkin) in the trenches, i hope someday the misinformation stops and people learn to be a little kinder

“I don’t travel with droids.” His voice reminds you of Boba’s when he wears that ridiculous helmet of his. Cold and hollow, more metal than man.
Boba sounds almost defensive of you when he speaks again. You can picture him leaning forward in his chair, the way he does when someone snaps at him. “She’s not a droid.”
“How much of it is even human?” You can’t help but flinch at that, no ones ever spoken about you in such a manner before. No one with a brain would disrespect someone like “Lord Fett” like that.
“She’s not an it.” Fennec speaks for the first time since all of this started, her voice is a hiss you’ve never been on the receiving end of before but you’ve heard her snarl at others before, slavers and other scum who come seeking a boon. You always wondered why such monsters would dare show their faces here, of course Boba dealt in criminal activity but never with people that foul. They often came seeking a Lord Fortuna, and were instead met with the barrel of Fennec’s rifle.
You can’t help but wonder if this “friend of Boba’s” is going to meet the same end. Both of them said they knew him well when he arrived but now they speak to him like the stranger that you know him as. A rude stranger.
The silence that follows is long, you can’t help but wonder if Fennec really did draw her weapon, before you can bring yourself to sneak a look around the corner you hear the all too familiar throat clearing noise that Boba makes before coming to a verdict.
“Look, either she watches the kid here, or she watches the kid with you. Either way she’s going to be involved, you just need to decide if you want to be there to keep an eye on her.” He always says everything with an air of finality, no wonder no one ever debates his decisions. The stranger barely has a chance to sigh before Boba continues. “No one trustworthy on Tatooine is going to take a babysitting gig for what you’re willing to pay.”
“I can’t afford anything more.” He’s furious. Even through the voice modulator you can hear that he’s trying not to lose his cool, but there’s an edge of desperation hiding under his anger.
“She’ll work for free. I’ll even cover her expenses.” You know Boba would do anything for you but this just seems like a bit much. He’s negotiating as if this man didn’t come to him asking for help.
“You want to get rid of her that badly?” Ouch. Rude and presumptuous.
“The last thing I want to do is lose her. That’s why I’m sending her with you.” You don’t doubt that. He’s proven to you enough how much you mean to him, even when he had no reason to.
“Sounds like you’ve made the decision for me.” Sounds like he made the decision for you as well. Has he even considered that you don’t want to go with him? Your desire to see the galaxy is fizzling out the more you think about having to travel with someone who doesn’t even see you as a person.
Another beat of that silence, dripping with tension before Boba takes control of the conversation once more. “She can’t stay here forever. I promised her she’d get to see someplace other than this dusty floating rock. They need me here. They need Fennec here. There aren’t many I would trust to do this but I know she’ll be safest with you. So take her or don’t, but you aren’t going to find anyone else to watch the kid for what you’re offering.”
“Find someone else.”
“There isn’t anyone else.” His patience is wearing thin. You know him well enough to know that he’s likely to snap soon. “You’re not the only one who’s trying to keep their family safe.” The authority in his tone reminds you of the exact reason no one ever argues with Boba.
Not even rude strangers who come bearing absurd demands and who claim to be friends.
“Fine.”

What is your dr? I can't figure it out
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, actually... I don’t have a Desired Reality. I know that sounds odd, because the whole point of shifting is to have a place you intentionally want to go, but I just don’t have one. I just… go.
There’s no specific destination or world I long for. In order for me to shift, I first have to fall asleep, and then I let everything flow naturally. I don’t control where I’ll end up or what will happen—I just let it unfold. That’s why, when I shift, it feels like I’m slipping into a ‘whatever’ reality, one that exists without me consciously shaping it.
There are a few realities I know I’ve been to before, and those are easier to revisit once I’ve been there at least once. It’s like they become familiar pathways.
But I don’t have a Harry Potter reality, for example, even though I’ve shifted to a magical school before. The people, creatures, and experiences I encounter are all unique—original, in a way. I don’t interact with Harry Potter characters because they don’t exist in my shifts. There are mermaids, but they look nothing like the ones from the series.
If I had to describe it, that magical school is the closest thing I have to a ‘desired reality,’ but I didn’t actively wish to go there. It just happened. That’s how it always is for me—I’m not seeking a particular world; I’m just letting it take me wherever it will.
Another example would be Doctor Who, which is my favorite series. But I’ve never shifted to a reality where the Doctor is real. Instead, I ended up in a place where I met a charming madman with a spaceship, which is about as close as you can get without it actually being Doctor Who.
In that journey, I found myself in a place that felt abandoned—it was the end of times, and people were evacuating. The whole atmosphere was eerie and desolate, and I remember feeling a little lost. I ended up meeting this group of scientists, two guys and a woman, who were scavenging what was left behind in the city before everything completely collapsed. I joined them in their search, and together we found supplies, even managing to locate something to use when we ran out of oil.
It’s moments like this that could be examples of a Desired Reality. I wanted to meet the Doctor, and while I didn’t, I encountered someone who embodied him in all the ways that matter. But still, I wouldn’t call it a Doctor Who reality because there was no TARDIS, no iconic blue police box. It’s like the universe gave me a reflection of what I wanted, but not quite the thing itself. It’s a recurring pattern in my shifts—close enough to be familiar, but still entirely its own.

I feel like somewhere out there is an essay on Thai BL and the concept of the Death of the Author.
I find it fascinating how active the writers, directors, producers can be before, during, and after a show's run, especially as someone who does't seek out or interact with much BTS/creator content. It's also interesting (post-Only Friends and as I get more familiar with the big names in the genre) how a certain director/writer can heavily shape audience expectations and even interpretations of the shows they create. Obviously this is true to a certain extent outside of Thai BL but I've never seen it quite as pronounced in any of the other media I watch apart from auteur-style film directors.
Thanks so much for the note, @stuffnonsenseandotherthings, and allow me to tag a few fandom experts to drop their thoughts (if they’d like, no pressure) on this line of thinking, both internal and external to the Thai BL genre, for more understandings of what’s happening by way of how Thai BL creators engage with their art and their fans on social media. (@lurkingshan @neuroticbookworm @bengiyo @shortpplfedup @so-much-yet-to-learn @grapejuicegay @recentadultburnout and @absolutebl if you have the time.)
I recently got a very deep-dive into the nature of some fandoms by @recentadultburnout, @grapejuicegay, @lurkingshan, and @neuroticbookworm (thank you, friends!), and first off, there’s A LOTTTTTTT I don’t know by way of the interactions (or lack thereof) that show creators have with their fans. I really don’t know much about global internet fandoms and the nature of fans interacting with each other and/or show creators, and the history of the artistic (or not) impact of those interactions.
I was musing earlier today on how I wonder how Den Panuwat’s commentary on Playboyy compares with the results of the actual art that’s airing, and I surely feel that the social media that the Only Friends creative team posted created some high and unique expectations of that show that, I felt, were not at all ultimately met.
But I don’t know if this is at all unique for the global landscape of show creators to engage with their fandoms on the internet. All I know is that, as someone who’s passionate about facts and fair critiques of art — I’m not sure I want extraneous explanations of what’s happening in a dramatic piece of art if that art clearly didn’t work. (For a work in progress, I won’t write off Playboyy yet, because I think the aspiration and HUGE THEMES of this show are compelling enough to give it more than a fair share of leeway. But if it doesn’t work in the end — do I want to be told why it worked, when it didn’t work for me or my critical eye? I’m….not sure? I do love debate and engagement…but I think I’d have to see how that engagement plays out in the face of a piece of art that ultimately didn’t stand up to the amount of attention it received, like Only Friends.)
Sorry, I ended up musing more than I expected, but I ultimately do not know if the kind of online engagement we see from show creators in Thailand is unique to the global dramatic landscape — I’m hoping that some of the experts could chime in to provide context.

Fictober 2023
Prompt number #16 Fanfiction Fandom: Flash Rogues Rating: T – Teen and up Warnings: Description of Double Down's powers (it involves his skin).
Day Sixteen: “Do you know a way out of here?”
Roy Bivolo takes a deep breath, willing himself to be invisible.  It won’t work, of course, but it’s all he can do for himself without his prisma-goggles.  He feels at a distinct disadvantage as a regular person in a prison wing full of metahumans, and sometimes wonders if the warden puts him there just to humiliate him.
None of that is important right now, however, in the midst of a chaotic prison break.  His focus is on survival and escape, of finding a route out without getting attacked by somebody else.
The odds generally aren’t great.
He creeps his way past a huge inmate brawling with some guards, a guy he doesn’t recognize.  It’s a welcome distraction to hide an unobtrusive man seeking not to be seen, and he’s buoyed by his success thus far.
But it doesn’t last, because someone grabs his shoulder and spins him around.
Roy almost screams, but manages to maintain his dignity at such a pivotal moment.  And he’s half-relieved and half-terrified to see that the newcomer is Double Down, the criminal who pulls his own skin off and throws it at people.
“Hey!  I know you!” Jeremy exclaims, much louder than he should.  “You’re Rainbow Rider, and you shoot rainbows out your ass or somethin’.  You’re an okay dude.”
“Rainbow Raider,” Roy snaps, though he truly doesn’t want to make an enemy of this guy.  “And thanks.”
“Do you know a way out of here?” Jeremy asks, but Roy shakes his head regretfully.
“I’m still looking.  Maybe if we search together?”  At least Jeremy has powers, horrible as they are.
“Aces!  We’ll definitely succeed together!” Jeremy enthuses with a little too much excitement.  He tries to get a high-five, but Roy really doesn’t want to touch his skin.
“I’ve been in this prison a few times, so I’m pretty sure we need to go in that general direction…it’s just the specific details that are fuzzy,” Roy says.  “We’ll probably figure it out as we go.”
“See, we’re making progress and becoming the best of friends,” Jeremy declares confidently, and Roy gives him a strange look.  He’s always known that Double Down is odd from the few details he’s heard about him, but this is a whole other level of unexpectedness.
The duo continues through a dark corridor, punctuated by pulsing strobe lights which give everything an eerie cast.  Occasionally they see another inmate sneaking out on his own, and sometimes they must take cover from armed guards hurrying in search of escapees.  But the area looks familiar to Roy, and he’s certain they’re heading in the right direction.
Everything’s going well, until a stern voice shouts “Halt!” and they freeze.  Both raise their hands and slowly turn around to look at the guards who’ve stopped them, and one officer suddenly widens his eyes when he sees who they are.
“Oh crap -– activate the Raider protocols!” he tells the others quickly, but the order seemingly comes too late.  In moments, all the guards lower their weapons and relax their posture, and some are even smiling at the prisoners.
“Um…” Roy says in confusion, glancing at Jeremy, and realizes that his comrade has the same dopey smile.  “What’s going on?  What are the ‘Raider protocols’?”
“It’s the procedure to protect us from your powers, sir,” one guard says with the same goofy grin that Roy is beginning to find unnerving.
Roy blinks.  “But I don’t have any powers, at least not without my goggles.”
“That’s incorrect, sir.  Would you like us to escort you out of here?”
Roy blinks a few more times in extreme surprise.  “Uh, sure..?”
“That’d be fantastic!” Jeremy chirps, and Roy desperately wants to be as far away from this situation as possible.  He quickens his pace down the hall, with Jeremy happily trailing behind and the guards forming a protective posse around them.  When asked, the guards tell him that they’re going in the right direction, and he’s actually beginning to believe them.
Finally, the group reaches one of the prison kitchens, and a guard leads them through some once-secure corridors to a delivery entrance.
“You can leave through here, sir.”
“Well, thank you,” Roy says, unsure of what’s appropriate in these circumstances, and the man beams delightedly at him.
“I live to serve, sir!”
Roy cringes, and beckons to Jeremy.  “It’s time to get out of here, and we should hurry because I think these guys might not be very friendly once I’m away from them.”
With that, the two inmates escape to freedom as fast as they can, putting as much distance between them and the prison as possible.  When they can run no further, Roy turns to Jeremy with a slight smile.
“It was nice knowing you, but I think we should go our separate ways now.  Good luck staying out of jail!”
“You too!  We’re BFFs now!” Jeremy replies in a chipper tone, and Roy grimaces.  He’s hoping to leave all the weirdness behind him, but is starting to wonder if this will be his life now.  On the plus side, it seems like he isn’t powerless after all, which gives him some confidence for future stints in prison.
Roy turns in the direction of home, humming softly to himself as he walks through the woods.  All in all, things turned out much better than expected, and at least Jeremy kept his skin on.

“Sometimes we get a bit niched,” says Swedish actor Rebecca Ferguson in her slightly lingua-divergent English, “and become the kick-ass woman or the sci-fi woman. I hope not to be that.” She has played a lot of different kinds of roles, she points out, starting with her year and a half in a Swedish soap opera while she was still at high school; more recent prominent roles that weren’t at all kick-ass include her Jenny Lind, the opera singer, in The Greatest Showman and a medieval English power-player in the BBC series The White Queen. It was playing a spy of dubious loyalty in Mission Impossible, however, that made her not only a star, but one of the very few women known as action stars.
Rappelling from a Viennese rooftop with her legs wrapped around Tom Cruise’s hips: that’s how we think of Rebecca Ferguson. “I don’t seek those roles,” she says. “When scripts come, I don’t look for the physicality and not take it if that’s not there. But for some reason those roles have come to me and I’ve done as well with it as I can.” Mission Impossible led on to Dune, the second part of which is due out soon. She loved that. ”I think we need to see women who are really great at fighting, in stories where the fighting is seen to be necessary to protect someone else. That’s what I like about Dune: everything is there for a reason.”
Silo is based on a series of fantasies – nine so far, with one-word titles like Wool, Shift and Dust – by American writer Hugh Howey. The idea of living in an authoritarian closed bunker is a familiar sci-fi trope: the most familiar reference point is probably Peter Weir’s The Truman Show (1998), but Silo has more in common with George Lucas’ debut THX1138 (1976) and the enduring cult favourite Logan’s Run (1971). What lured Ferguson into Silo’s grey, steampunk gloom? “I was drawn to the world,” she says. “Not to the sci-fi, post-apocalyptic fantasy world – that never interests me – but it was the fact that people were living underground in a claustrophobic environment, due to something they themselves had created. I liked the philosophy of that.”
She was also drawn to her character, a mechanic known for her genius at keeping the 140-year-old generator’s boiler running, whose promotion to sheriff comes as a shock to everyone. Juliette Nichols has a fierce yearning for truth and justice, but she is also cranky, unkempt, bitter, unsmiling and, through some strange alchemy of performance, decidedly plain. We don’t much like her; neither does the camera. “That’s what made me fall in love with her,” says Ferguson. “I find the forced likeability so uninteresting. Also, what she’s gone through wouldn’t make you likeable. Wouldn’t put you in the pocket of wanting to be touched, seen, loved. There is a reason why she’s good with mechanical things.”
Ferguson found international fame relatively late in life. She is 39, child of a Swedish father and eccentric English mother, now a mother herself to two children. On Zoom she is strikingly still, intense and has a translucent Nordic beauty that suggests a blameless life sustained by nothing but wild salmon and cloudberries. I wonder if there were any new skills she had to learn as the formidably capable Juliette. “I think what I found challenging and fun was not being good at certain things,” she says. Nobody in the silo can swim, for example; nobody has ever seen a sea or a river. “So in a situation where water is filling up, how do you activate a body that does know how to swim without looking cartoonish or silly? I’ve known how to swim since I was a little child, and those things are really difficult to relearn.”
The question that underlies any story like this one, of course, is how would we would cope living this way? They would chew that over on set, Ferguson remembers. “The tricky one, though, is that you can ask those questions: how would you react, what would you have done – but you can’t forget that they have lived there for 200 years. So you have to first think: ‘What is reality to them?’ They don’t know what ‘outside’ means. All they know is that there is something there. What’s fascinating is the philosophy of people who just follow the rules. You can compare it to the society of Big Brotheror the Second World War and Hitler, greed and power and banning books and taking things away from people and pushing them into a compact little environment to control them. It’s a bit like a religion as well. I’m scared of anything that tries to control our narrative.”
The higher purpose of dystopian fiction is, of course, to tell us about our own world. Were there parallels she spotted, even people she recognised? “I think it’s very difficult as a thinking human being to not see resemblances between what you do and the real world,” she says. “Some things happened after it was written – like we live in a silo and then COVID happened. But I think human beings when they create things will constantly pick from their environment, right?” Every now and then she would spot something in the script that made her think yes, that was smart, people will get that. “But I keep coming back to the idea that all the battles are the same, wherever we are.” In The White Queen, for example, where she played Elizabeth Woodville, wife of the deposed Edward IV, whose sons were murdered. “It’s the same battles there. It’s power and greed and needs, the same issues heightened and minimised. There’s always been chaos.”

I am quite sporty I swim in lakes, gymnastics, dancing, roller skating.ice skating, hiking or walking they are all good ways to relieve stress and listen to music haha. I do love to sing but I don't think I'm very good and I love learning things but my uni tells me I'm not very smart haha so I don't think I'm good at transferring skills but I try to stay positive and not dwell on sad things! I think I struggle to accept love but my ways of showing love would be gift giving or acts of service but I don't like it when people do them back to me if that makes any sense im quite independent and minimalist. I think I match people's energy but I'm quite introverted so I don't actively seek company but I try to enjoy it when invited. I don't really have an ideal type just someone who could understand me because I think I struggle to understand myself at times haha so I worry I might be tough to handle but yeah I try to make people laugh and join in. Oh I also like someone who is up for late night walks or drives like a bit of adventure or fun. Hope that's okay :)
Hello~! Thank you so much for your request! I had so much fun with this exchange and I hope you enjoy your matches as well~ ☺️

Your Obey Me Lover is…Satan~
-I could also see you as a match for Levi, but ultimately I think you and Satan will be such a cute match~
Sagittarius and Libras are very compatible with each other! Even though Satan is an air sign he has a bit of a fiery personality, which I believe you can balance that side of him~.
Even though Satan appears cold and closed off, but deep down he has a more softer and endearing side that only you have been able to break through.
This man LOOVES animals (especially cats), so I can see him coming home with a random cat that he found while on his walk.”so I found this kitten…I couldn’t just leave them out in the cold. I’m not sure what to do, Deedee 🥺” He sulks about not being able to keep them, but as soon as you give him the ok to keep the kitty…you can see his blue eyes brighten up~! But he’ll try to be more nonchalant about his excitement lol. “Really?!…I mean…this would be a nice addition to the family, don’t you think Deedee?” (You can totally see right through his poker face LOL)
He’s definitely the type to hand feed you LOL. Will give you handmade speciality chocolate just for you and will insist on feed you~ “Darling, I got you these chocolates that I think you’ll like. Just relax and let me take care of you. Now, open wide for me?”
I think satan is also a bit introverted, so both of you can relate to each other in that aspect. I can picture a cute scene with you both sitting in the couch or laying in bed together. You would be sprawled across his chest, feeling content as you listen to his soft voice read his latest book he’s been into.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your lover in JJK is…Satoru GoJo~
I think they saying of “opposites attract” works in this relationship~
I know this man has a it of an ego, but I firmly believe he would be such a good partner! Sure, GoJo is still going to tease you to death, but he doesn’t in an endearing way. Always playfully apologizing when he notices you get annoyed “Honey Muffin, don’t look at me like that…I’m sorry. Come give me a kiss pls 👉🏻👈🏻” and then he peppers your face in kisses just hear hear your sweet laugh 🥹.
I think Gojo is a bit more on the athletic side also. So he is totally down to do whatever physical activities you want. You want to take a morning jog? Gojo has a route lined out just for you both. Thinking about going to the skating rink for the after noon? This man absolutely has matching skates with you! Although, he might have to hold onto you the first ten minutes of skating around. He is the most strongest sorcerer, but he isn’t the most agile on wheels lol.
Is the type to give you some ridiculous/cringy nicknames, but all for love! For example, honey muffin, snuggle bear, my little honey bunches…the list is endless…
Will be so overjoyed when you surprise him with a gift that he’s been wanting for so long! “Honey muffin, you got this for me? How did you know I’ve been wanting it?…I’m a bit obvious, huh? This is why you’re the best, snuggle bear~ 🥰”
Gojo may seem a bit of an airhead when it comes to emotions and vulnerability, but I think if it’s coming from someone he loves…he will be so soft for them. He’s not perfect (even though he thinks he is…😅) but he will try his absolute best to understand you and give you the strength you need to get through hard days. You also don’t have to worry about being too much for Gojo…in fact, I think he’s a bit too much at times. Gojo loves you with all his heart and just wants to see you happy 🥹.

(Such a beautiful man ;-;)

Your Lover in Mystic Messenger is…Zen~
I find it so funny we matched each other with Zen lmao. But I think you two would make a super cute couple as well~! 🥰
Sagittarius and Aries are also very compatible signs. (I may have a bias for Aries though…Aries men are just *chefs kiss*). We definitely see Zen fiery side in the game, especially when it comes people he loves and that includes you~
This man will looooove to listen to you sing…he will BEG for it if he has to! I can imagine Zen being pouty when you refuse and pester you on why you won’t sing for him…”honeyyyyy, please sing for me. If I don’t hear the sweet voice from my lovely angel, I will simply pass away”. Sure he can be a bit dramatic, but the man just wants to hear his sweet angel’s voice after a stressful day!
Also a very athletic man. He has to keep up his physique for his roles and would love to go on more active dates with you. He’s also your #1 hype man and always brags about how gorgeous his girl is, especially to Yoosung. He’ll definitely tease Yoosung when it comes to relationships, it’s happened before and Zen won’t stop lol. “See, Yoosung? If you keep up a nice physical routine and charming personality you can end up with a gorgeous woman like my Deedee~” This man is head over heels for you!
Even though I view Zen as being more of an Extrovert, I think he can also be a little introverted at times. He’s constantly running around between auditions, practices, shows and events that it wears the man down sometimes. During those times, he’s more than happy to just be lazy on the couch, cuddled up while watching a movie with you. Although sometimes he’ll actually recommend a horror movie to make you think he’s not scared at all. He’s a man, he can be scared of some silly ghost on the screen…yeah, he’s totally scared. But that’s why he has you to huddle behind and grip onto when a jumpscare takes his soul lol.
Will definitely take you on late night rides on his bike. But he will be so careful and gentle with you. “Sweetie, remember to wear your helmet and elbow/knee pads when we’re on the bike. I know you know, but I just want to make sure not a single scratch touches your pretty little head~! *muah!*” (ugh I love you two together so much 🥹)
All and all just a very sweet, love sick relationship between you two~!

Youtube, counterculture and What The People Want. These are massive topics that really get the noggin joggin’. Tommy delivered a motivational speech (still peppered with a bit of a lack of awareness that the people he looks back on fondly were once criticized for creating low effort trend following content) about how the people are craving a change because of how hollow certain video formats are becoming.
I’ve touched a little bit on Mr.Beastification before, namely how people are using him as a scapegoat to disown their own pull towards the illusion of safety and guaranteed success. The era of algorithm hacks and mind tricks that we’re in now reminds me a bit of the media version of the pickup artist / redpill scene, where self-styled experts try to brute force human behavior and connection through over-focusing on numbers and science of dubious origin. People have always wanted to bottle and redistribute luck and charisma, and the fact that the YouTube game is half human and half machine makes it seem slightly less insane to try and ‘hack.’
As an aside, is there anyone checking up on the people who solely and religiously follow all these hacks and advice? Like, are they actually doing well (in a numbers and personal wellbeing sense) when that’s the primary pillar of their content? I feel like even in the case of Mr. Beast, he probably over-reduces his success down to the variables that he can control/measure rather than the unknowable pile of factors outside of them, so it’s probably not as easy to replicate as he makes it sound.
(Dr. Mittens has a good post about how despite the narratives around Dream, Dream did not come up from zero solely because of his tactical brain, although he’s often used as an example of someone who power-gamed his success.)
So two questions come up in the wake of all this, what is the public hunger that Mr. Beastification inspires, and is YouTube really the place that this pushback is actually going to happen? If YouTube the platform is partly to blame for a certain kind of content rising to the top, one of the simplest answers is to get content somewhere else, which sounds like what Tommy is trying to avoid. Youtube has a virtual monopoly on longform public video hosting so they’re not in meaningful competition with other websites doing exactly what they do, so the threat of this is a bit less.
I look in my subscription feed and even my for-you page and I kind of can’t complain—YouTube knows that I’m “The video essay type” and goes from there, and that’s the bit about the algorithm I can appreciate at the end of the day. I have, largely, been insulated from the dumber things out there. This feels like an issue that’s been taking root in areas that are less curated than my corner, and maybe that’s part of the issue—between youtube hiding most of it’s videos unless it already thinks you’re going to like them and the market flooded with nothingburger formula videos (these problems create each other), it’s more rewarding to stay in your corner than actively seek out new stuff.
Something that I think I want from YouTube (but I don’t think I’ll get because if it were to be part of the system itself it would immediately get abused) is a human referral system. Like the actual ability to curate a page/feed of videos, maybe with a comment to give them context / a reason why you like them. This is because I don’t think I’ll ever trust the creator’s desperation (built-in) and the robot overlords (just want more minutes) over another complete rando who is genuinely like “I enjoyed this :D.” Human attention follows the attention of other humans, and while the algorithm follows that logic in a crude way, putting some texture back into that process might be able to do a lot.
On the topic of franchises, most of the fictional content I consume is from a fandom background so I know that repetition and familiar formats/premises have their place. (Call me parasoical but I like knowing who people are.) I understand why people want to talk about creativity and originality in a world obsessed with formula and guarantees, but I would say to not throw the baby out with the bathwater either, because some people can become so obsessed with innovation that they become backhandedly disdainful of people who have more grounded and reliable tastes.

Hey there, thank you for sending this, I genuinely appreciate it. Uncertain as to how you found my account but I can infer how, I suppose.
All I can really say is that this has really fractured the fandom. A lot of amazing creators have been forced to leave the fandom due to this due to feeling unsafe. Which shouldn’t even happen in the first place.
Initially I was taking things at face value but later on became more skeptical towards it all. It was too much of a perfect storm. And now this has emerged, but too much damage has already been inflicted on the fandom. Harassment to all involved has been undue. If in any way I have contributed to this via my likes, then I deeply apologise. I've only ever reblogged one post relevant to the situation as it - if I recall from the time I was reading it - had more of a balanced take based on my interpretation. (Edit: I don't want to toss out certainties or my perspective at the moment since this is in a way, still a developing situation.)
Furthermore, in case anyone is looking at my void of a blog: i’m gonna turn off anon asks since fandom really only is a small portion of my life and I wish to remain a spectator and not an active participant (though that is debatable given how much i like content related to COD). However, if anyone does want to reach out to me to let me know if I've in some way, shape or form contributed to the harassment of any involved, please do let me know via my messages, which I'll leave open (if I don't then I apologise, it's been a while since I've used Tumblr beyond its basic functions, so it'll take me some tinkering with).
I’ve enjoyed my time with fandom in general but not any longer in the past few years. Not that I’ve directly involved myself with the COD fandom, or provided input. Not out of bad experiences, mind you - just merely out of dwindling interest as I've begun to focus on my own personal works.
But it still deserves to be treated with the gravity it does. For all those involved: no matter your decision or the outcome, I hope that you’re looking after your mental health and taking care. If you have a support network or just someone in your life you want to talk to, please do so. This situation has been taxing on all and has led to many stunning creators leaving out of fear, harassment and a lack of (rightfully so) faith in the fandom. I've no doubt that a lot of people just need to talk to someone or do something else meaningful to them to recuperate from all of this.
I don’t know if it’ll mean much, but please, just for anyone, if you ever feel like you need to talk to someone or have suicidal thoughts/intent/plans, please refer to Find a Helpline.
Find A Helpline is a useful search engine for crisis helpline and mental health support helplines: https://findahelpline.com/. I’ve tried it with a few countries and they corroborate with actual helplines.
Keep in mind that these numbers are NOT SOLELY for crisis prevention. These numbers also include services for anyone who just wants to talk, is seeking support for specific health conditions/circumstances, gender identity, disabilities, being a carer, substance use, etc. The ones for the countries I am familiar with are correct and verified.
Thank you Anon once more for sending me these links, I truly appreciate it. I've let it be a reminder to let mind trump heart in situations like this. Do let me know if you would like to discuss further in Tumblr DMs, I'm completely open to this.
And just in general - if anyone needs a chat, do feel free to reach out via DMs.
I wish you all well and take care.
