contacted staff. hopefully they will be able to help me. I left my account unlocked overnight because I really do hate having to lock it...and I logged in to over 600 more of those roaches. at this point, these spams feel targeted. one of my irl pals said the same thing. I mean, over the course of the last four days, I have had to block nearly 4000 of them. how could it not be targeted??

𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐞: 𝙆𝙚𝙩𝙪-𝙍𝙖𝙝𝙪
The absorptive, fiery nature of Ketu natives creates a heavy magnetic field around them that can attract individuals who carry a darkness within them which I will be exploring through a number of film/TV characters in this short observation.
Tumblr media
This heightened sensitivity to unseen realms makes these natives more likely to attract intense or obsessive individuals, which interestingly, happens to be other Ketu natives or even Rahuvians. These dark, twisted creatures seem to have this natural attraction or fascination to the Ketuvian, as if they were drawn to their void. Though Claire Nakti explored this theme already in her Mula series, the astrological influence of the Big Bad Wolf in Magha's arc in Red Riding Hood piqued my interest. It came as no surprise to me that both Ketu and Rahu are tied to the twisted, evil monster or human obsessed with the Magha or Mula native.
warnings: spoilers!, mentions of abuse, murder and domestic violence.
For example, in Shadow & Bone, a Magha Sun woman shares an intense, hypnotic connection with a Ketuvian man, the Darkling, who disguises his dark true intentions, preying on her deep need for belonging (as he recognizes that need within himself too). His dangerous obsession with her, along with his dark ambitions and twisted mind, reveal him to be the "big bad wolf" in her story.
Tumblr media
The same thing happens in Penny Dreadful (right), in which a Magha ASC woman falls for a Ketu-ruled doctor who has an affection for animals, providing her care and understanding to her wild nature, only to be revealed to be the vampire, Dracula. The Magha native sees his storage room filled with hung dead bodies, a chilling symbol of his horrifying nature. He becomes increasingly obsessed with her, his predatory instincts getting into conflict with his feelings with her.
Also, the Darkling would have made a fine addition to my thread of the power-hungry, commanding Ketu archetype, seeing as he is characterized by his ruthless ambition and desire for power, seeking to dominate the world and willing to manipulate others in order to achieve his goals.
Tumblr media
Anyways, back to the topic.
Much like in Penny Dreadful, in Marvel's Jessica Jones, the Magha Moon woman was initially drawn to the alluring facade of a Ketu man who used his powers of persuasion to captivate her. At first, she enjoys the thrill, but then she becomes consumed by his darkness. He turns out to be a monster. And even after escaping him, his obsession and infatuation with her increases, endangering those around her.
Tumblr media
In Crimson Peak, Thomas Sharpe is played by a Ketuvian, epitomizing the archetype of a wolf in disguise through his charming demeanor and hidden malevolence. Captivated by a Magha Moon woman, he is a sweet and kind gentleman, though beneath this façade lies a manipulative and dangerous character. He attempts to isolate her, slowly revealing himself to be the predator.
Tumblr media
This reminded me of the film Rebecca, where a Ketu man portrays himself as this charismatic and caring gentleman much like Thomas Sharpe. His nature reveals itself to be controlling and extremely manipulative.
Tumblr media
Another Ketu-ruled character functions exactly the same in the series Big Little Lies, portrayed by the Magha stellium native Alexander Skarsgård, who is a charming yet abusive husband presenting a facade of the perfect family man.
While, of course, there are positive depictions of nodal pairings in fiction, the Ketu people are just generally prone to these obsessive, dangerous energies whether the evil force is Ketu as well or not. Much like Magha Moon Julia Roberts in the film Sleeping with the Enemy, who is trapped in an abusive relationship with every aspect of her life being controlled by her husband. She plans an escape, which calls to a theme of Ketu women running away from men especially; as her character has a lot in common with Jessica Jones, Vanessa Ives (Penny Dreadful), and even Edith Cushing (Crimson Peak). All Magha natives.
Tumblr media
Another example I wanted to add is the movie Invisible Man, directed by Mula Moon Leigh Whannell, a film about a woman who escapes from her abusive relationship with a wealthy scientist, who happens to be played by Ardra Moon Oliver Jackson-Cohen.
Tumblr media
As you've seen and will see in this thread of examples, these Ketu characters tend to be in intense relationships with other Ketu people, and also Rahuvians, being the center of their fixation or destructive obsession. In Phantom Thread, two Ketuvians are captivated with each other and fall into a twisted relationship, the Ketu man exhibiting obsessive tendencies as he becomes increasingly controlling and possessive over the Magha Moon woman.
Tumblr media
Circling back to Red Riding Hood, the 2011 film, starring Magha Moon Amanda Seyfried, her father is played by a Ketu native. At first, he is shown to be the loving protective figure in her life, guiding her decisions and teaching her to be cautious of the world and its evils. But then, it is revealed that he was the werewolf all along who terrorized and killed the villagers.
Tumblr media
In Scream, the Ketu woman is instead a Mula Moon native this time. She was dating the goofy and charismatic Ketuvian boy who turned out to be one of the killers and he ultimately planned her death.
Tumblr media
And now, this time, we have a Rahuvian who played the wolf. He, just like his Ketuvian accomplice, is portrayed as initially harmless. He comes across as caring, trustworthy and reliable, especially to the other Mula Moon native who he was dating.
Tumblr media
In the end, both the Ketu & Rahu killers unmask themselves as the "big bad wolves".
Mula Moon Reese Witherspoon was interestingly casted in three Ketu-coded films. Freeway, inspired by the Red Riding Hood tale, depicts a friendly stranger who's portrayed by a Ketu man, offering to help her when her car breaks down on her way to her grandma's, just as the wolf tries to deceive Red in the tale. Beneath his charming facade lies a predatory and dangerous nature, as he is revealed to be a serial killer.
Tumblr media
It is also interesting that in the film, American Psycho, she plays a character who is unknowingly dating a serial killer, played by a Ketuvian man. The movie Beast stars a Mula Sun woman who also unknowingly dates a nodal-ruled serial killer.
Then in the film Fear, this time the illusory man is a Rahuvian. He is drawn to Mula native Reese Witherspoon's character, and his true dangerous, predatory nature starts to reveal itself. His infatuation with her turns into a sick obsession, leading to a sequence of violent events.
Tumblr media
In Split, though the wolf isn't necessarily in disguise to predate, it is interesting that Ketuvians tend to play predator-&-prey to each other.
Tumblr media
Like in The House That Jack Built, a Magha ASC woman exemplifies the theme of the wolf in sheep's clothing in the opening scene of the movie through the character named Jack. Jack is obviously played by a Ketuvian man.
Tumblr media
When he picks her up as a hitchhiker, he presents himself as a charming and cultured individual, engaging in a seemingly normal conversation with her while masking his true violent nature. She triggers this hideous nature within him, and she acts a catalyst to his series of murders as she's his first victim.
It is important to remember that Ketu is still a shadow planet, both Ketu and Rahu highlighting the shadowy, illusory aspects of the wolf in sheep's clothing trickery.
In the film Creep 2, there's a nod to this Red Riding Hood-&-the Wolf dynamic as the Rahuvian serial killer is known for wearing a terrifying wolf mask. As expected, much like in Freeway, the nodal killer is fascinated with the Mula native who destroys him in the end.
Tumblr media
And in the film Beast, a Rahuvian serial killer is attracted to the Mula native, and as they date each other, she finds out his true nature. She's able to debilitate him just so that she can end his life.
Ardra serial killer in Creep 2.
Tumblr media
Similar to the Mula serial killer in Freeway, a Mula Moon serial killer, in Netflix's new film Don't Move, comes off as an extremely friendly, kind and helpful stranger who creates a safe space just to trap his victim. Another wolf in disguise played by a nodal man.
Tumblr media
In the series You, a Mula Moon woman becomes an object of obsession for a Rahuvian man. She dates him not knowing of his truly sick, possessive nature until he destroys her.
Tumblr media
It is interesting that another Mula Moon woman in the series is the one to go head-to-head with the nodal killer, deceiving him as she's the one to portray herself as the wolf in disguise just as he did too.
Tumblr media
This is shown again in Once Upon a Time, in which Red Riding Hood, played by a Magha Sun woman, turns out to be the wolf after all. All this time, she's been unknowingly turning into a werewolf on a full moon, killing villagers in her wolf form.
Tumblr media
In the series The Acolyte, Magha Sun Manny Jacinto plays Qimir who portrays himself as an unassuming, harmless smuggler and trader who appears to hold no grand ambitions. He uses a calm, almost alluring personality to create a sense of reliability, only to be revealed as the antagonist of the story in a murder spree scene as the Sith Lord.
Tumblr media
Ardra Sun, Ardra Moon Wagner Moura voices the Big Bad Wolf (DEATH) in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
Tumblr media
Usually playing charming, sometimes sympathetic, evil or morally grey characters, nodal natives seem to fit into this archetype the best; as the shadow planets Rahu and Ketu come off as extremely magnetizing and illusory more than any other planetary type. This consuming quality they have makes them convincing to others with their lies and illusions, just as they are convincing as the scary monsters or captivating antiheros.
The character Kai Parker is played by an Ashwini Sun native in The Vampire Diaries. He feigns remorse and uses charm to hide his predatory intentions. His duplicity is shown when he pretends to bond with Bonnie, when they were trapped together in the 1994 prison world. He creates a false sense of safety around him only to then later reveal his true schemes. He does this a couple of times, evoking sympathy for a hidden agenda.
Tumblr media
The character Loki could be fitting under this wolf in disguise archetype. In Thor (2011), he portrays himself as the underestimated younger brother, while quietly harbouring resentment for his brother and hiding his thirst for power. In the film, he not only backstabs Thor, but he ultimately leads Laufey to his death after striking an alliance with him (turned out to be one of his tricks).
This reminded me of Dr. Facilier, voiced by an Ashwini Moon native, who tricks and deceives Prince Naveen, seeking to gain power and control. He initially portrayed himself as a helpful ally, only to become another deceptive wolf in disguise.
Tumblr media
And the character Ursula was played by a Magha Sun, Ardra Moon native in the Little Mermaid remake; she quite literally does the same as Dr Facilier to the naive Ariel who is portrayed by Mula Moon Halle Bailey. The cartoon version of Ursula is voiced by Ardra Moon Pat Carroll.
In Last Night in Soho, a Rahuvian man is portrayed to be suave and charismatic, luring an Ashwini native into his dangerous world which leads to her tragic victimization when his predatory manipulative nature is revealed.
Tumblr media
In the 1991 film Deceived, a Mula ASC woman discovers that all this time she has been married to a literal wolf. It is revealed, after his death, that her husband killed a man whose name he took. Another twist is revealed that he faked his own death, and he comes after her. Her husband is Ketuvian himself, of course.
Tumblr media
Another similar film, called Double Jeopardy, in which an Ashwini Sun woman discovers that her Rahuvian husband faked his own death just to frame her.
In the series Wilderness (2023), Ashwini Sun Jenna Coleman portrays a woman who's married to a deceitful Rahu man who turns out to be the opposite person of who she thought she fell in love with.
Tumblr media
It is interesting, and ironic, as the one who is truly victimized by all of this is the Mula Sun woman that her husband was having an affair with. The Ashwini native becomes the wolf in disguise here when she deceives her husband back, and when she stalks and approaches the Mula woman, ultimately being the one behind her death.
Going back to the Ketuvian being obsessed with the Magha native, in this example, it is a Mula Moon, Ashwini Sun native being the object of obsession. In the Beauty & the Beast live-action, Gaston portrays himself as the quintessential hero, and it is his obsession with Belle that reveals his darkness.
Tumblr media
His aggression and his resort to intimidation and manipulation to win her over highlights his cruelty and entitlement.
I may continue this with another nakshatra lord influence, as it seems that Moon nakshatra natives experience the same themes. As they already fill in the final girl archetype too, after Ketu nakshatras, it doesn't come as a surprise at all since all three planetary influences (Moon-Rahu-Ketu) made it into my vampirism post. It makes sense that these planetary types are linked to vampires, as vampires are illusory creatures who are known to mask their true predatory nature; fitting all too well in the wolf in disguise trope, as they are predators who appear human and can very well blend in normal society.
The song Haunted was sang by Amy Lee from Evanescence. She has Ketu in the 1H. She mentioned that the song was partly inspired by the concept of feeling watched or followed, which connects with her fascination for eerie themes and darker emotions. I find it fitting under my post as these Ketu-ruled natives attract stalkers, killers, and frightening creatures in their dangerously magnetic field.
More examples of this Ketu archetype, as I seem to have reached the picture limit.
And also. Found this Ketuvian analogy. So I'm right.

Tumblr media
I’d personally like to know what fandom they’re in because every third day since May of this year, I have been subjected to takes that include statements like:
Tommy will cheat on Buck because gay men cheat.
Tommy will give Buck an STI because gay men sleep around.
I hope Tommy dies of AIDS.
Tommy is homophobic for dating Buck instead of a “femme twink bottom.”
If I were Buck, I’d have killed Tommy for flirting with me.
If you like Buck x Tommy, you’re just a fetishizer. Even if you’re a queer man. I said what I said.
We should stone Tommy.
M/M romantic relationships have always centered women.
Temu is a predator for dating a grown man who’s younger then him.
Jakey only wants Buck for his body and youth because gay men are shallow and superficial.
Which crime makes you want to execute Tteokbokki the most? Cutting a date short or calling a man by his given name?
Gay men are never actually gay; they just think they are. They actually like women, but don’t realize it or are lying.
Men like T*mmy should be beheaded for flirting with men the way he has with Buck.
Tommy is such a typical gay man, forcing himself on Buck in his loft and turning him gay.
Gay men are all liars, so I don’t expect Buck to put up with Tommy long.
Stereotypes about gay men obvi come from somewhere, and that’s real life! I have good cause to think Tommy will be bad for Buck as a gay man!
Buck’s not actually into men; Tommy is your typical man and pressured/coerced Buck into a relationship.
Tommy and Buck dating makes light of women’s relationship trauma.
Someone needs to tell Buck that he’s actually in love with his best friend!
The gayest thing to ever happen to Buck isn’t kissing a man or the implication he’s had sex with that man, but the one time he told his best friend he’d beat him up.
Buck x Tommy is problematic because they’re both men.
Tommy is a pedo because queer people prey on children and a teen in the show called him “cool” off-screen.
Any number of takes calling fans of 911’s recent decision to expand queer representation by including a same-sex male couple “bummies” or “bummers” << UK queer people have told y’all to knock it off. It’s a slur.
Also any number of takes saying that Buck & Tommy’s relationship feels “off-putting,” “creepy,” “gross,” “weird,” “nauseating,” or “obscene”
If you flirt with men like Tommy, you’re a predator. Simple.
Tommy is a freak and a fetishizer.
Relationships are only meaningful and worthwhile if it’s a slow burn and you more friends for the better part of a decade first.
I think this queer guy is secretly in love with and pining for his (straight) best friend.
Queer guys and straight guys can’t be friends; the attraction gets in the way.
Buck is going to cheat on Tommy because Tommy’s old and has a low libido and Buck’s a bisexual slut.
Tommy is grooming Buck!
So, yeah, I’d like to know what fandom you’re in where people are being homophobic to real queer people for *not* liking Tommy, because all I’ve seen is people literally sending death threats and CSAM fics to queer people—often specifically targeting queer men—who support 911’s newest canon queer couple. It has been MONTHS of targeted harassment. Months. I’d like to know WHO these people are who are harassing queer people in the name of defending a “homophobic queer character,” and then I’d like to know how that character is homophobic.
Please—I beg—tell me how Tommy is a “homophobic” gay man. How is he anything like the self-proclaimed “homophobic gay men” of buddieblr? Do tell. Without relying on any tropes about gay men being predatory. Because the only reason y’all think he is and can and would “groom” or “prey upon” a grown man is based in very popular irl queerphobic stereotypes about queer men. Y’all have spent the last five months essentially saying: “I want to subject this fictional character to violence because of real life false conceptions about men like him.”

Not you being a grown ass woman writing SMUT OF MINORS, if you have to age them up to write smut of them then you know damn well that its wrong, you are sexually attracted to minors and you're a predator, also saying mdni while writing literal smut of minors is so funny to me as a grown ass adult
yawn.
calling me a predator for writing about fictional characters is actually pretty disgusting tbh. there are people out there taking advantage of ACTUAL children and you're coming at me? funny. and as someone who was taken advantage of as a minor, i don't appreciate you trying to cause problems here.
i know you're looking for a reaction and i should just ignore you, but i have some extra time on my hands tonight. how dare you come onto my page and accuse me of being a predator? of what, fictional characters who don't have to be any specific age?? for real???
fiction ≠ reality. i read dark romance books often, do you think i condone the actions in those books? i WRITE dark romance, do you think i actually want those things to happen to me in real life?? obviously the fuck not.
pick someone else to throw this shit at because you won't be getting any sort of apology or soft statement from me, baby.

"I don't support it in real life!"CW: talk of sexualizing minors, slight rant
Then why write about it? If for coping purposes, why post it online for others (especially actual predators) to see and consume? Then why portray those things in a positive light instead of condemning them? And you're seriously going to tell me that just because as an adult (1) you want to see a fictional minor (that mind you, is usually designed to resemble an actual child) depicted in sexual situations doesn't mean you don't share that same view concerning children in real life? You find fictional minors attractive but not real ones? Why does the line between finding someone who is (and usually also looks like) a child sexually attractive get drawn at whether the child is real or not? I'm not calling anyone pedophiles, but if the shoe fits...(1) No I am not talking about 18 y/os finding 17 y/os attractive. Use your brain. Creating content of underaged characters is still questionable regardless of age, however.
"Just mute/block instead of harassing others!"I have nearly 70k people blocked on twitter, and hundreds of words and tags muted, I softblock and mute people who post things I don't want to see. I still see certain things on my timeline, usually because1) It's posted in the main tags of something I'm interested in2) The post isn't even tagged at all3) If someone quote retweets from someone I've blocked, I still see the take on my timeline.
"Antis use the same rhetoric as exclusionists and TERFS!"What exactly does being against pedophilia have to do with trans (women) exclusionary radical feminism? And what does lgbtq discourse in general have to do with not wanting minors to be sexualized?
"Antis harass people!"Apparently, proshippers have never done this before! Not once has a grown adult stalked literal children for calling their ships gross! Not saying harassments ok at all, but let's not act like the poor proshippers are being oppressed here. Also, I promise you, someone saying "x is a proshipper, please block them if you don't want to see their content" is not harassment. Writing callout posts and videos on underaged "antis", however is most definitely harassment but y'all don't want to hear that. People have the right to know if they are platforming people who go against their personal beliefs and morals. Choosing to hide that from people who would otherwise not want to interact with you for the sake of not wanting to "lose friends" makes you a bad person, and you should feel bad.
replying under the cut bc this ask was long enough, and i don't wanna make ppl who follow us/see this have to scroll for eons
why do you think coping mechanisms have to stay private? if someone's coping mechanism was yoga, or working out, would you say they have to do that by themselves, in the confines of their own house, and they aren't allowed to talk to anyone else about it? i hope not, because that would be ridiculous (inb4 "yeah but yoga isn't harming anyone!", neither is fiction!).
the fact of the matter is, anyone can consume any type of content, and that shouldn't prevent people from making what they like. why not portray it in a positive light? what does it matter? any regular person knows that what they see in fiction should not necessarily be replicated in real life. i know better than to go out and kill someone just because billy loomis and stu macher do it.
furthermore, wouldn't you want actual pedophiles to use fiction rather than them going out and hurting real children? that's not how that works, but using your argument that they're one and the same, wouldn't that be better for everyone, and result in less people getting hurt, ergo fiction doesn't hurt anyone?
no, fictional characters are not meant to resemble actual children. that IS a crime. however, you cannot look at an anime child, or idk, kid ashley from TCOAAL, and tell me that looks like a REAL child. that's nonsense. and no, it does NOT mean i "share the same view concerning children in real life", because those characters aren't real, and i (can't believe i have to say this) am NOT attracted to real children. yes, you ARE calling me a pedophile, which is just categorically not true. it's not "questionable" because it's not REAL, which is necessary for someone to be diagnosed with pedophilia, which is a disorder, and not just some label you can put on people.
genuinely, if you are THAT sensitive to people having other opinions, or are sensitive to different kinds of art, maybe social media isn't the place for you to be. if the post isn't tagged, i agree, something should be done about that, but the fact is, WE DO tag our stuff. that has nothing to do with me (or chica), or even proshippers as a whole. you're doing the thing were you believe one rotten apple spoils the bunch.
when you post something online, you HAVE to understand that literally anyone can view it, and if your accounts aren't private, anyone can interact with it. that is the cost of posting online. if you can't handle that, log off.
i don't think i've ever compared being an anti to being a terf/exclus, BUT they do objectively share some of the same opinions as conservatives, and even nazis (which is NOT to say all antis are conservatives/nazis, but that you share some of the same ideals).
i can't speak much to that because i don't think i've ever made that argument, but it is a lil radfem-y when most of y'all go after specifically BL and yaoi. also terfs aren't only bigoted towards trans women, it's also trans men. idk why you said that.
yes, correct, anyone can harass anyone, but the fact of the matter is, 99% of the time proshippers get harassed, it's while we're in our own lanes, minding our own business, and y'all (much like you're doing right now) come into OUR spaces and call us pedophiles, and say we deserve to die, or that we should kill ourselves.
if you've been following this blog for the last week-ish, you'd have seen some prime examples of just that. doing nothing, talking to no one, and getting harassed. people saying i should be on watchpeopledie, saying i should be killed, that they hope i get cancer, or die in a car accident, or that my dad beats me to death. that i should "slit", cut to the bone, kill myself, hang myself. threatening to doxx me, find my address, have tried to grab my ip. the difference is, when proshippers are found to be doing this stuff, they're called out and reported, often by other proshippers, whereas antis, when they exhibit this behavior, they are encouraged. they're praised by their peers.
if all people did was say "x is a proshipper, block them", we wouldn't have an issue, but the fact is, a significant amount of y'all don't start with blocking. you start with slurs, nasty names, disgusting accusations, and downright deplorable behavior BEFORE you block us. if you block us. and when we block you, it's entirely possible you just create a new account to harass us from, or grab your friends to do it for you.
if platforming people who like different types of fiction than you is that big of a problem, that you feel the need to write callouts, make google docs, harass them, and threaten to doxx them, you need to get off the internet. stop interacting with people AT ALL. live in a bubble. because again, people you don't like are always going to exist on the internet, it's your duty to navigate that in the best way you can, WITHOUT hurting anyone.
people hide the fact they're proship because we don't want the harassment. that's sorta the crux of the issue? you're completely ignoring the COUNTLESS posts of people being harassed for simply existing and being proship. we shouldn't be made to feel bad for trying to protect ourselves and our peace, YOU should be made to feel bad for making others feel bad.

A couple of replies, a longer one about fandom.
hadesdancehall asked:
BOKU NO RISOU NO ROI DE POISON DE WA I'M LOSING MY MIND OVER TETTERE!ROOK
YESSSSS YES YES I AM SO HAPPY YOU GET IT LOL Rook and Tettere are the same, the idea of this crossover was driving me crazy, I had to draw it. Look at him go, singing about continuously loving every single person until he finds the one…
Fun fact about this sketch: we have no idea why I drew Alte-Rose!Malleus there. It’s been a while since I drew this sketch, and I completely forgot… I guess she had to deal with this Tettere too, so it kind of fits lol

I know you aren't really type to give information just gorgeous art. But in your last reply post you said you do traditional art and just coloured them digitally.
So I'm wondering... How do you do it!?
Because everytime I try to do that it looks so weird. I can't seem to get the colors as vibrant as I can when I'm only doing digital.
Thank you for praising my art! But Anon, I do give information :c I wrote a reply about this exact topic just a couple of days ago which is filled to the brim with links about everything in my art process + have a guide about exactly this topic.
Your colours might seem off for a number of reasons, it’s hard to tell exactly why by just guessing. It can be related to your software/display or directly to your choice of colours.
Anonymous asked:
Ryu, your dissatisfaction with Twisted Wonderland's age rating is very understandable! The game is allegedly a joseimuke game aimed at adult women, especially in light of the fact that this is a gacha game and that adults—who earn a regular income—will be the true target market. It's a little frightening that adults who play these kinds of games have to be so careful about how we express our affection for the characters lest we be labelled as predators or worse, p*dos. Making adult gamers feel bad for enjoying these "children" who are clearly meant to be adults. They're fictional, and most of them definitely don't look or act like boys their age. Some characters appear so mature; this really struck me as being university attendee coded. It's not like the ensemble is exclusively comprised of children, you know? The game revolves around attractive anime boys who are intentionally created to appear older than they actually are. Unfortunately, despite the fact that i enjoy Twisted Wonderland, it is the first fandom where i experienced Ageism in a fandom.
Trey is, if my memory serves me correctly, one of the most well-liked characters in the Japanese fandom (i remember there used to be a JP poll asking which character in Twist was the most loved). Most likely due to his personality, which again makes sense given that the majority of Twist users are grownups and Trey's portrayal of a character who, despite being a young adult, is quite mature.
Furthermore, even though I realise I'm going to sound like Idia, I detest how the "Normies" entered Nerd/Geek spaces after gaining popularity and then pretended to be uncomfortable with what they saw. You came to OUR space, dude! What did they expect?!
Anon! Sorry for replying late, and thank you! You’ve made so many very good points.
It really is an obvious joseimuke in how the game is written, how the game operates (the gacha system, like you mentioned) + even the type of merch that exists for this game. If you think about it, this is probably the best way to determine the actual target audience of any piece of media: just like Prince of Tennis is technically a classic Shonen Jump series, but all the merch they have is clearly aimed at adult women (purses, perfume, etc).
So yeah, even if that wasn’t the case, calling people predators over shipping themselves with Azul would be a bad thing to do, but in this situation especially it’s absurd to call people out for interacting with TWST pretty much the way it was indented…
What you said about the characters’ age and Trey specifically is so true. To be fair, this could be said about any joseimuke-like title with a big ensemble of boys, Prince of Tennis included. All the characters there are 12-15 years old, but god some of them look over 30.
I think it is important to keep in mind the intended age to a degree (= I dislike how the EN translation tries to dance around mentioning the boys’ age), and Twst does a good job at keeping these boys authentic when it matters, but it doesn’t mean that people won’t ship them with other characters or themselves. And no one questions it and no one finds it weird because it isn’t. It’s not that deep, it has nothing to do with how real teens look or act, this is a fantasy in people’s heads, it’s escapism, it so different and so far removed from the regular boring life it’s insane. It’s so difficult not to sound like Idia, SO I FEEL YOU ANON.  Someone called it the moe factor that some people just don’t get. So I guess it really is about people being normies sometimes lol I wish they would leave already.

Got an ignorant hate comment. Felt it deserved it's own post. It's a long one, and technically isn't doing anything productive as I blocked the person. I just like yelling into the void. Mind the tags.
Tumblr media
1) You're funny. I'm agnostic, and wasn't even raised christian. It's like an atheist saying "Oh my god" (this can't be real/that's ridiculous) or "God save me" (I'm doomed). "My brother in Christ", what would normally be a term of endearment and familiarity in a christian setting becomes very condescending and 'holier than thou' if said to any non christian (not just jews). Because of that, outside of a christian setting, it's now a term of sarcasm and mockery to point out someone's stupidity and ignorance. So the fact you jumped into a defensive standpoint, calling someone you know nothing about antisemitic over a post that wasn't even directed at you, tells me a lot more about your insecurities.
2) Yes, you're right! It is perfectly reasonable to not WANT people with an involuntary attraction to real life children to INTERACT with your work. But let me lay out a few things. Stop using that word, it does not mean what you think it means. Being attracted to fictional characters depicted as kids in a form of media that is (at least in a non indie setting) designed, and written by a team of adults, fudging up the looks and behaviors of their characters compared to reality to be more appealing to a wide demographic, is not pedophilia. Pedophilia is a mental disorder, where an attraction to children who can't consent is causing direct harm to yourself or those around you in your day to day life. This usually presents itself as crippling distress for the person with the disorder due to their intrusive thoughts, and fear of losing your friends and family should they find out about your disorder. By calling an attraction to fictional character depicted as children "pedophilia" you are doing what's called pedojacketing. Which is a false accusation against someone in attempt to rally others by appealing to their disgust to ruin the life of another person. It causes major harm by both trivializing a serious and often debilitating mental illness into a "voluntary perversion", while also trivializing the seriousness of child predator allegations by equating the sexual abuse of real, breathing children, to that of fictional story that never happened. Most predators aren't even pedophiles, they are attracted to the power imbalance and control, not the kid itself. But that's not what proship is, it's an ideology that people should be allowed to have their own space to enjoy whatever fiction they want without harassment or censorship. And guess what, that doesn't mean we aren't entitled to your space. If our ideology makes you uncomfortable, it's your right to block us and keep us from interacting with your art.
But get this, consuming and interacting are two completely different things. Consuming means you've looked at a piece of art, you watched a video, read a piece of literature, or played a video game. The moment you post something to the public, and not somewhere with restricted access, you forfeit all right to decide who can consume your media. AO3 is a public website, even if you choose the lovely option of only showing your work to people who are logged in (which anyone can get an account), you can't then decide who is allowed to view your work. When you post media publicly, it is impossible to discern every single person who has consumed your work. At best a site may have a "views" counter, or in AO3's case, hits, but it will always remain anonymous. As such, if you don't like the idea of a proshipper consuming your work, congrats, you will never have to know.
Interacting however means that you've consumed a piece of media, and are now making a public display about your consumption where the creator can see it, that individualizes them from the rest of the crowd. A comment, a post, if the media has a non-anonymous "like" function, or non-anonymous subscription/follow function. Most people are sane, and don't go out of their way to do background checks on every single person that interacted with their work. But if it comes to your attention that someone who makes your uncomfortable is interacting with your work where you can see it, then you have the tools to make it so you'll never be able to see or hear from them again. They will still be able to consume your public work, but now you've curated your personal experience.
But if you're so paranoid and disgusted by the idea that someone you find icky or gross might be able to consume your content without your consent, then you have to take responsibility for your own experiencing it and revoke your consent from the wider public by removing your content from a public platform.
This person was deluding themself into believing that consumption was the same thing as interaction and that the existence of a dni means it was the public's responsibility to regulate their online experience for them, and was getting upset at the realization that they can't regulate a public space the same way as a private one, and that people they don't like will be able to see their public work even if they will never know about it.

"I dont support it in real life!"
Then why write about it? If for coping purposes, why post it online for others (especially actual predators) to see and consume? Then why portray those things in a positive light instead of condemning them? And you're seriously going to tell me that just because as an adult you want to see a fictional minor (that mind you, is usually designed to resemble an actual child) depicted in sexual situations doesn't mean you don't share that same view concerning children in real life? You find fictional minors attractive but not real ones? Why does the line between finding someone who is (and usually also looks like) a child sexually attractive get drawn at whether the child is real or not? I'm not calling anyone pedophiles, but if the shoe fits... And also no, I am not talking about 18 y/os finding 17 y/os attractive. Use your brain. Creating content of underaged characters is still questionable regardless of age, however.
did you know that fictional characters are fictional? There are plenty of reasons why a person might have sexual fantasies surrounding a character from a piece of media who is a minor. it’s really not my business why. If that person is not going out of their way to be predatory to actual real life living children who are actually affected by being pursued sexually by adults, then it’s ridiculous to hold that to the same level of seriousness
I think that the actions that a person takes against real actual people definitely should be prioritized as far as things to hold someone accountable for. I think that when y’all obsess over somebody who is just like reading homestuck fanfiction or drawing porn of frisk undertale you are getting side tracked away from the serious impact of actual sexual violence

Then why write about it? Because I want to. Why I want to is a very personal question.
If for coping purposes, why post it online for others (especially actual predators) to see and consume?
To get feedback of my writing, which is a social activity! If your logic is that a predator might enjoy something, then there's no ethical way to create.
And you're seriously going to tell me that just because as an adult you want to see a fictional minor (that mind you, is usually designed to resemble an actual child) depicted in sexual situations doesn't mean you don't share that same view concerning children in real life?
I don't read smut. I barely write smut. This is an unfounded assumption. Also, that is using the slippery slope fallacy. There are many things in fiction I write about that I don't condone in real life, such as murder, abuse, graphic bodily harm, and child endangerment.
The assumption that people condone shit they read and write about is kind of weird to me, mate.
You find fictional minors attractive but not real ones?
Yes, even though I've only had a handful of underage fictional crushes since I've turned 18. (Miu Iruma, currently.)
In 90% of cases, teenaged fictional characters look, are voiced by, and act like adults. The narrative treats them as adults. If a character's age isn't directly relevant to the plot, why care about it?
Why does the line between finding someone who is (and usually also looks like) a child sexually attractive get drawn at whether the child is real or not?
A very good question! The answer is because a real child is harmed, while a fictional one isn't. Paedophilia isn't bad due to the fact its gross (and I do find it gross.), its bad because someone gets hurt!
The only time fictional characters get hurt, is when we authors/readers IMAGINE them getting hurt. All harm done is imaginary.
Furthermore, I really dislike you using 'looks like a child' here. Thats body shaming, since there is a large portion of adults that happen to look like children. A lot of disabled people are also infantilized for similar reasons. Looks have nothing to do with the morality of an act.
Creating content of underaged characters is still questionable regardless of age, however.
Tumblr media
Here are my ao3 warnings. My ao3 is SHSL_Angstlord if you'd like to make sure I'm not lying. When you accuse someone of being a predator, the burden of proof is on you to provide actual evidence.

Choosing to hide that from people who would otherwise not want to interact with you for the sake of not wanting to "lose friends" makes you a bad person, and you should feel bad.
this is a LOT anon, my god...
First I'll say what I do agree with you on: I have made posts and even agreed with antis or neutrals on proshippers harassing antis. I have seen it and have hated that it happens. Proshippers like to use being anti-harassment as a shield to harass people. Antis have made posts without accusing anyone of being anything nor making any kind of assumptions about any shippers and they would get HOUNDED by proshippers. I've seen it happen. I once followed a group of antis because they liked the same popular ship I liked in a fandom (I wont name). They were uncomfortable with certain shippers and proshippers following them, I respected their wishes and left. I saw from a proshipper qrting that same anti group that I unfollowed because they made a list of proshippers for that fandom so people could block. I did trust these antis because they were anti-harassment. I do agree that a lot of these kinds of lists do cause harassment but there were proshippers going up to this group being immature saying to be added to the list. And yes, they were harassed but like I said, I did trust this group, they were peaceful people. I have had good conversations with antis because I feel like there are some that just want to be heard. So I listen to them. I am completely fine with having conversations without being labeled something I am not. That you KNOW I am not. I WILL stick up for antis if they're not in the wrong, I dont care how many proshippers I will be going against. I am anti-harassment in the truest sense. NO one deserves to be harassed, least of all, children.
For all the other shit you said: "if the shoe fits" It dont. Pedophilia is a paraphilic disorder where the person has thoughts and emotions that could potentially harm a minor. These people have intrusive thoughts to the point it causes them distress. I, personally, do NOT suffer from this. People have the ability to separate fiction from reality. What I see when I look at anime characters is a cartoon character. I dont see actual literal children, no matter HOW they act. I can only speak for myself, but I dont like actual people, let alone, children. I dont want to be with anyone nor do anything with anyone. I use to be a schediaphile, which is a paraphilia where someone is sexually attracted to fictional characters, which lolishota are. I honestly never was sexually attracted to lolishota. I only find them cute and when I like cute things, I like fucked up shit to happen to them because I like dark/taboo type of fiction. Even if something is shown in a positive way, it is STILL fucked up, isnt it?
When I post anything sexual about a lolishota, I am able to distance myself from it: Aegosexual.
There is a LOT of violence that is shown as a positive in fiction but no anti ever goes hard against it like they do when it comes to anything depicting sex. Violence is always seen as a good thing, while sex is bad.
It is a-okay to be disgusted and grossed out over any fiction no matter what. What isnt okay is harassing someone over fiction because you find it icky. I personally dont like gore but I would never go after someone making assumptions that they're gonna go on a murder spree.
I dont use lolishotacon as a way to cope because I havent been through anything like that. I just think they're cute, thats it.
btw, I am also blocking a shit ton of people on twitter. I block people every single day. I see NSFW art I dont want to see all the time. It does cause me a teeny bit of anxiety but I literally breathe out a sigh of relief when I block them so I dont see their shit anymore. If you're following ppl that qrt people you've blocked, maybe you should unfollow those people. you are the only person who can look out for you, unless your a minor, then thats your parents/guardians job

what is spm mpreg
My friend. My buddy. My pal. My sweetheart.
What is spn mpreg?
I am so glad you asked!
The answer awaits you... right under the cut 😘
Way back when, when the land was lawless and tumblr was a hopeful place, there was a show called
✨Supernatural✨
This show was beloved by many on the still budding hellsite and beyond! It was the show du jur, the universal blorbo. It was the hottest thing and everybody watched it! Nowadays, you will find but ruins of its former glory but I was there, Anon. I saw it with my own two eyes.
The show itself was about two brothers, Sam and Dean, held together by bonds of trauma formed through shared hardship, who would go on adventures and defeat evils for the good of humanity. Until...
Dean, beloved older brother and sweetheart of many on the internet, perished. The circumstances are irrelevant but oh, was it tragic. Fangirls wept across the planet as one and nobody knew what was going to happen.
But, oh! A sudden change in direction! All of a sudden, Dean was being pulled up by an angelic hand, resurrected like Jesus before him! An impact so strong, so intense it left a permanent mark on his body which the writers never forgot about, ever! Dean Winchester was reborn and all rejoiced for it was Right.
But whoever was the mysterious being that had gripped him tight and raised him from perdition? It didn't take long for the show to explore this and oh my, did it get explored! The answer, of course, was Castiel, and angel of the lord who would henceforth devote himself to Dean and only Dean.
Thus, Destiel was born.
Tumblr media
On another platform though, the well respected and important LiveJournal, there were Things abrewing. One of the many things prevalent in the Supernatural (or SPN for short) fandom was the RPF.
As you may know, or you might not, RPF stands for Real Person Fiction, it is similar to the traditional fanfiction but with "characters" who are not characters at all but based on human beings. Despite this, it occasionally features fantastical elements, AUs and other such things.
One user on what we used to call a "kink meme", a place for fans to inspire each other by pawning off ideas, suggested a very particular such RPF. The result took elements from existing tropes such as the heat fic, a longstanding gift from the house of Star Trek, as well as (alleged) wolf behaviour as described in one singular study.
The unholy concoction we were gifted that day is now known as Omegaverse or ABO. Within this trope, there are additional axes to the gender spectrum - but not in a fun, non-binary way! Rather, all humans will fall strictly into one of three categories: Alpha, Beta and Omega.
Alphas are strong and dominant. They can impregnate people regardless of agab and go into ruts. They also have a 💦knot💦 that will fix their penis in a hole after they come.
Omegas are weaker, more pliant. They can become pregnant, once again regardless of agab, and go into 🥵heats🥵 at certain intervals. An omega's heat is what causes an Alpha's rut.
And Betas... well, they're normies, basically. You're a beta 🤷‍♂️
The most common form of ABO fanfic tends to involve the desired characters being an Alpha and an Omega, the Omega going into heat and the Alpha... helping them with it, if you know what I mean 😏
Since the trope makes it so cismale characters can get pregnant (ABO predates the rise of commonly accepted trans headcanons) the community has, of course, attracted many breeding kinksters such as myself. I've seen surprisingly few Omegaverse kidfics tho which is a pleasant thing for me considering I hate kidfics.
And since ABO originated in the SPN fandom (more or less) it is quite popular within it. And before I get a billion asks: yes, there are many other ways to achieve mpreg (male pregnancy) in your blorbos such as oviposition or simply making the character in question trans, but since ABO is the most common Watsonian cause of specifically spn mpreg, I figured I'd focus my reply on that.
Anyway, it's late and I'm getting tired but I still wanna post this before going to bed because my dear Anon, you have yearned long enough!
I hope you've found this explanation entertaining 💜

Let's talk about this image shall we!! (Long rant and yapping basically.)
Tumblr media
I saw this image on here. (I was gonna reblog it and talk about it but the og is a minor and would rather keep them anonymous.)
So the adults should already know the difference between fiction and reality since they have a fully developed brain, they should know what is right and wrong. I used my coping mechanism in art or writing. Please tell me what a better coping mechanism then proship?? I'll wait and see some results!! This coping mechanism doesn't make me want to go out and commit a crime because it's fucking disgusting, I've been writing problematic fanfics for two years almost turning three next year.
I know I sound like a broken record but I've been a victim of online predators years ago so two fictional characters of a minor x adult ship doesn't make you a predator, writing problematic fanfics or fanart doesn't make you a predator, finding a Loli or shota attractive doesn't make you a predator nor proship.
What makes you a predator if you're looking at any mommy vloggers/family vlogs of children and them eating food (more specifically fruits) or them wearing swimsuits or anything like that if you find that attractive, you're a pedophile. If you talk to someone for nudes or being sexually towards them and then you find out they're a minor while you are being inappropriate with them after knowing their age, you're a pedophile.
Looking for csem and saving it in your phone or hard drive, YOU'RE A PEDOPHILE!!! Using imagine of children vs picture of lolis/shota debates. I've seen these types of people, you're disgusting human being who download images of children on your phone as got ya moment, imagine how their parent's reaction seeing that on the Internet.
I had antis straight up shit on me for years for me writing cringe problematic fanfics or fanart, I'll say it doesn't make my trauma as an excuse, I feel uncomfortable whenever they say that I have these fantasies about children.. the most disturbing thing an anti told me online.
I'm just a woman that writes fanfic about anime characters why is it that people like antis always bring children or say shit like that.
I've seen people shit on a chibi review on twitter/X calling him a predator only to find out he's talking about a lewd anime panel. These sickos send threats, disrespect his disease brother and hack his da to post csem??? I don't understand people's mindset and getting so triggered easily when it comes to anime or fictional characters... That's not normal behavior, those people need to be held accountable for their actions and need to be sent to jail for that.
I generally feel like the future, I feel worried and concerned about it because these antis will normalize sending people csem or threats of rape or death and it'll become the norm.

Wow.
Well hello to you too. Thanks for the ask and I hope you have a great day.
Now, at what point during your scrolling through my blog, filled with Sanrio characters and drawings of adult fictional men. May I repeat, adult fictional men, did you manage to make up this baffling scenario that I somehow condoned pedophilia ? Where in the numerous reblogs of Pompompurin and My Melody did you see me wishing harm and abuse on real life children ? How does one even come close to that scenario ? Why do you guys immediately hear pedophilia when the word proship is involved ? "Minding your own business and not harassing others online regarding their ship" means pedophilia now ? Is this what we're doing ?
Do you know how crazy you sound coming into a complete stranger's asks to make up grave accusations without any proof whatsoever ?
Not even talking about how weird it is to assume that I'm condoning absolutely everything I post online because apparently fiction and reality are absolutely one and the same to you, and I'm not even going to toe that line considering you won't listen at all, why are you making this random assumption that what I'm posting is vent art ? Because I'm not a victim of sexual assault nor have I been assaulted or raped as a child. It's rude to make assumptions.
And who the hell are you to dictate what they should or shouldn't post ? Your own displeasure or ick shouldn't interfere in anyone else's business, what you should consider doing is actively shutting the fuck up and educating yourself properly on what the words that you spout actually mean, because you just sound dumb right now.
And how twisted do you have to be to casually imply that everything I post online enables pedophiles. Do you know how sick you sound right now ? Pedophiles don't give a fuck about me or my art, they just want to exert their power over children and rape them. And you are relishing in the idea that I or someone could be using my work to do that. That's a good thing to you, that a child could be abused right now ? Where you should be horrified and contact CPS or possibly the authorities, you find glee knowing that the person you're interacting with could be a pedophile who wants to sexually assault children or enable this ?
And excuse me, which children are you talking about exactly ? Because all of the characters in THH are confirmed to be 20 years old. Is a 20 years old a child now ?
You know, you should seriously think before finding random strangers online to acuse them of being pedophiles and maybe find real problems. Because by actively watering down serious problems, you're making things worse for children and those who actually care about children ? Ever thought about that ? You're not protecting anyone, you're making things worse.
Don't you have like, anything else to do ? There has to be at least one thing that you like to do instead of being this hateful, so go do that and stop such being a rude shithead online.
And now I'm disabling anon asks before more twats like you swarm in and start saying the vilest stuff because you think that you can do that with no consequences. I didn't put it there so you can say whatever like I'm a fictional character. I'm a real person, you cunt.
Again, I hope you have a lovely day, and go fuck yourself.

Maybe some just wish to share it to others who are also going through it or post it as a means to vent out because bottling up inside is not good. I mean, do you question on when people put the whole "DO NOT REPOST" on their art despite knowing it will be reposted somewhere else? Do you ask them "Hey, if you are afraid of your works being reposted, why don't you just not share your art at all?" If creating content with underage fictional characters is bad, then that means all of western cartoons, books, comics, video games, and anime is bad because the creators are all pedophiles regardless of context of the series they are working on. That's what you are implying here, anon. Use your own brain too.

I want you to disconnect this argument from sexual content and pedophilia for a moment and think about this in terms of any story ever.
Do you think people who write about murder endorse murder? Probably not. The "do video games make kids violent" argument has also been debunked several times over. So why do you get freaked out when it's sexual content? Why is it suddenly an endorsement when it's something being written about sexually, or even just something that's taboo in general?
For that matter, you're talking to someone who has written necrophilia since he was like, 15, at least? What makes writing about fictional necrophilia any different than writing about fictional pedophilia, when both are crimes that involve nonconsenting persons?
As to actually explain the appeal of fictional underage: it's not necessarily about finding a young-looking character attractive. I'd argue it's usually not, actually. For me personally, I write about fictional underage because it's a way of me expressing my very real sexual feelings I had as a child, that I obviously couldn't express then because I was too young to grasp consent and safety. I was also abused of course, but beyond that, a lot of adults enjoy thinking about their first awkward relationship, their first kiss, their first time. That's why so many adults in fandom-- especially LGBT adults who were robbed of being able to express their sexuality as teenagers-- latch on SO aggressively to ships depicting LGBT teens. They're projecting onto them and living an experience they never got to have.
And in any case, AO3 has 300,000 fics on the topic. 300,000. Many with hundreds of thousands or even millions of hits. Like it or not, it's popular. About as popular as the rape/non-con tag, in fact. You are GOING to meet people who enjoy that content at some point or another, so you have a choice to make. You can either choose to die on the sword of something that isn't real at the expense of an actual human being, or you can choose to extend respect and courtesy towards real people even if you don't understand or are personally made uncomfortable by their fictional interests. Which one you choose is up to you.
Addendum: I was exposed to loli/shotacon hentai when I was like 10 and at no point did it make me think that actual CSA was okay. I do struggle with POCD regardless but that's more to do with me having been sexually abused than it is anything to do with hentai lmao.

Tumblr media
Ok so this is going to get a lot of hate but let me make my point. This meme is based on the below images:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So one of these was posted on March 11th, about a VTuber making a flat joke with a pretty sus model. VTuber Characters which are based off anime and do not look like real life people. This tweet has, at the time the picture was taken, 67.6K likes.
The second of these was posted on March 13th, about a real life grooming and SA ring targeting children on twitter, using code words to get groomed kids to put their ages in their bios without it being obvious what the age is to outsiders. Several people have investigated these tags and brought them to light. The tweet at the time this picture was taken, 7.1K likes.
Now first and foremost let me say this. I personally don’t give a flying F*CK if you like loli or shota. Nor do I care about any attraction you have to any fictional characters at all. They are not real. They will never be real. And even if they WERE and they were over the age of 18 and could consent, I STILL would not give a damn. Now with that said, I’m a victim of real world SA. It happened when I was around 6. And it really f*cked with me a lot and it’s the only reason I remember it at all. DO NOT come to me trying to equate fictional characters to real world people. They are fundamentally not the same. They are not even in the same universe.
Fact of the matter is, Loli and Shota are not always “Kids”. Often, they are in fact just petit people of varying ages. However, it’s also worth noting that a lot of the perceived “lolicons” in Japan, more or less where the term got popularized from, do not even sexualize the characters they like. It’s not to say it doesn’t happen at all because it does. However, it’s not the majority of the time. It’s more of a weird, “Must protect and be a big brother at all cost because CUTE”. Which culturally, Japanese people tend to love cute things. It’s why there is a mascot for pretty much everything in the country. What’s more it’s no surprise when you consider that the culture is very puritan in nature, and do not do well with acts of affection. Not to mention the fact that their culture almost shuns it. As such, they internalize the need for that in what ever ways they can. Is it always healthy? Not even remotely. But the reason this is relevant is because I saw a lot of backlash against the person sharing the story about the “Baby Blue” story. The person being called out as a “Lolicon” and “Shotacon”. Now, this person is probably not Japanese. But the above concept still exists. Today we live in a culture where we are ALL online almost all the time. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, TikTok, Instagram, SecondLife, RP.ME, etc etc. We do not connect with other people the way we used to. Person to person interaction has been grinding down to nothing. And, to top it off, people are not dating at the same rates they used to.
The reason all of that is important is because fiction fills that gap. Often for a lot of different people. I’m not going to judge them, unless I hear them saying something like, “Oh I like the fact this character is a kid. It really gets me going”. That would likely send me into a blind rage on the spot. However, if they just pointed at a character and said, “Hey this character is cute and I like them”, even if it was a younger looking character, I’d probably just go, “......Ok”, and be done with it.
My issues start when real world kids are involved. Like in this below photo.
Tumblr media
If you were to just read the context, you would be like, “EGAD! HOW DARE THIS PREDATOR DATE A YOUNGER GIRL!”. Except as it happens, both parties in question were only a few months apart. And what’s more the judgement was that he was really old, based on his height. (Wonder where I’ve seen that equivalent before? *Glances at antis*) And even more than that, he got doxed, and the school got contacted attempting to get him expelled. People tried to legit ruin this kids life. And do you know why? It’s because we have watered down what the term pedophile is. More over, when people look at the dictionary definition of it, it doesn’t paint a complete picture either. Pedophiles tend to be people whom WHILE YES tend to like kids that are with prepubescent bodies, the larger reason they “like” and target kids is because of their innocence and purity. Pedophiles, often victims of sexual violence themselves as kids, tend to target kids because of trauma stemming from their own childhoods. That trauma is often extreme levels of abuse, or themselves having been SA’ed. As such, it caused their maturity to stunt causing it’s own bundle of issues. However, this in and of itself is not meant to defend them. It’s meant to point to the fact that many of these people belong in mental institutes. Now, with that said, there are other pedophiles that are not mentally sick in the same way. No they come from backgrounds with no abuse, and often consider their attraction to be a kink. What’s more they are the ones pushing the hardest for the “acceptance” of pedophiles.
The last of this group however aren’t pedophiles in the traditional sense. They don’t care about the age of the person involved at all. Often they just want to get their rocks off. Those people are opportunists. Often adults into their later years who will look for anyone they find attractive, actively targeting younger people not because they like them sexually, but because they find them to be easy targets. But since people on THIS platform have issues saying “ok all of these things are bad but some of these are more bad” I won’t get into it deeper than that.
The above understandings come from around 12 Years of studying psychology under friends and acquaintances that are professionals in the field. Now all of this comes together with a few things.
Trying to ruin a kids life because he is tall and dating another kid in school is disgusting. Even IF the age gap WAS in fact 18 and 14 fact of the matter is that doesn’t make him a pedophile. More over with several other factors like when did they start dating? Did he only date her BECAUSE she was that age or did they just mesh? Was she the one that asked him out? Etc. This not also covering the fact that we DON”T teach young adults to be adults anymore. You can’t just go to a kid that’s 18 and has only had investment in maybe sports, his gf, and his friends, and then say, “Hey once you turn 18 you need to end all your relationships because otherwise you are a pedo/predator”. That’s not even how that works. Shit when I was in school it WAS NOT uncommon for freshman to date seniors. Not at all. And age of those grades was never universal as it depended on when you started school, and if you got held back, or skipped grades. Moreover, the concept of “predators” to most teens tends to be, “Oh they are people that kidnap you and do bad stuff to you”. They internalize this, and then think that if someone is not that thing exactly, they are not a predator. More over calling kids and young adults predators is a dangerous precedent to set. Why? Because it leads to kids like the one above, getting doxed, threatened with being expelled, showcased all over social media, and harassed nonstop.
Which brings me full circle. I don’t like when people compare fictional characters to real world kids. They are not the same. They are not even in the same realm of “same”. They are fundamentally different entirely. And even if you argue to me that “One represents the other” why is it that a lot of the time they ONLY like that style of art and those characters? Why don’t they dabble in more realistic looking fiction? “Oh well you don’t know that they don’t!”. No. I do not. However their likes and replies on almost every social media is often public and visible to go through. And when people dig and dig through them it tends to say within the realm of quite nonrealistic. Aside from the fact that even if they “Like” loli and shota often that’s not the only thing in their likes by a long shot. Which honestly furthers my point. Words have meanings for a reason. Understanding those meanings and understanding the types of people associated with those words is very important. If a person were to consume underage fictional content (of that kind), I probably would not associate with them at all. If it were hyper realistic, and I found out about it, I would report it to the law because THEN it is actually illegal. But if they are just like, “Hehehe Rebecca from Edge Runners go burrrr” I won’t give two shits.
Stop putting real the real world, and fantasy on the same levels. They are not. And if you tell me that, “OH well consuming the fictional version will lead to consuming the real thing”, how about you point me to a study of real world examples. Talk to me about how my playing the fictional game of Call of Duty is going to make me go out into a desert with my tactical gear, grenades, and run and gun a bunch of people I’ve never met. And yeah it is the same concept. Same with certain types of kink “Play”. There is a fundamental difference between “PLAY” in those regards and real version of those things. MURDER role play is a thing. And I can promise you 99% of those people DO NOT want to be stabbed to death. It’s pretend for a reason. It’s fiction.
If you want to steer clear of people that like loli and shota characters, be my guest. But when real world instances of harm are brought to light, and you DON”T point to it, and others who scream about people liking loli and shota don’t bring light to it. I’m going to assume you are either complacent with real world kids being harmed, and that you only scream about lolis and shotas to cover your own predatory thoughts and behaviors, or that you are quite literally just screaming about it all for clout and could care less about kids being harmed. You don’t have to agree with me on any of this. But the facts are what they are.
