genuinely I think a huge part of this is because of how much people attach morals to appearance. There's the whole misconception that fat people are "unhealthy" or "don't take care of themselves" when in reality, being fat can be a person's "healthy" and taken care of state. And people are attracted to people who take care of themselves!! Hence, people are attracted to fat people!!!!

There's also an element of male entitlement playing a part too. Men who are deeply misogynistic or homophobic or straight up mean will blame the fact that nobody is attracted to them based purely on their appearance. There's a reason incels constantly use the sob story that "girls are only attracted to big dumb jocks, and always overlook me, the humble and smart man" because if they can blame women for being shallow and accuse them of not liking them for their looks, they won't have to acknowledge that theyre bad people and THATS whats driving people away.

So men who are assholes and got ripped to try and get girls will get all pissed because "see!!! im clearly the healthier and better guy!!!! why would you choose him over me???" and incels who think women are only attracted to buff guys because it feeds into their sob story will get pissed because it shows that its not about if the guy is fat or not, its the simple fact that women dont wanna date douchebags.

It’s still controversial to say fat dudes are hot and what’s worse is that the people that get angry at that statement are generally straight men. Women like fat dudes. Bisexual dudes like fat dudes. Gay dudes like fat dudes. Yet when someone, especially a straight woman, voices her attraction to fat men there are hordes of other dudes in her comments saying “Nuh uhhhhh you’re lying.” How would you know? You don’t fuck men.

One thing golden era Wattpad writers had going for them was that they knew the importance of a buildup. I'm of the opinion that the sexual tension is WAY more satisfying to read than the actual sex and quite frankly there is a serious lack of non smutty writing.

Like I really miss reading fics/ x readers that start from scratch. Meeting the characters, initial reactions getting to know them, the tension the jealousy the TENSION the freaking tension.

Looking and looking away when they get spotted, touches that feel like they linger but perhaps they didn't and they're both so hot for each other that they think it's wishful thinking. And I don't mean just sweet sunshine romances, darker works can have a buildup too but it seems like so much is just about getting to the smut instead of the psychological aspect.

Bring back the build up!!!!!!!

I could poke holes in Dream’s new video for days and days, but quite frankly I don’t wanna do that to myself so I’ll keep my thoughts short. I just find it so interesting to watch Dream try and shift his talking points to make him seem like the better person. “Tubbo is being manipulated by Tommy” to “Tubbo hates that Tommy acts like this and actually disagrees with him.” Him casually trying to bring up a merch company scamming Tommy and other creators as if that’s his fault. Dream trying to make himself sound better by calling his merch source “his family business” as if he’s not uber rich. Still trying to push the narrative that Tommy is “disingenuous” as if people don’t change their opinions between 16 and 20. Dream is shifting his points to try and come across as in control or the good guy, but he just sounds like he’s spiraling.

anyways manifesting dream’s career never comes back from this and he fades into dark obscurity <3
