Do you ship Purelily?

Sort of? Not really? I view their relationship through a very specific lens:

I think they mutually liked each other when they were young, maybe even had an actual relationship. But when Lily started to pursue her ideals of the origins of cookies, the witches' motivations, increasing the survivability of their species, etc, more and more, PV got worried. He dreaded who she was becoming, and his feelings for her began to wane. He didn't feel like this was "the lily he knew".

But PV is nothing if not forgiving. He convinced himself this was a phase she was going through, that she'd eventually figure out that this pursuit of strength and knowledge was fruitless and dangerous, and messing with dark moon magic was doubly so. But when Lily received her soul jam of freedom, her determination to learn more and be more only got stronger. She was (metaphorically) a new cookie now, but PV was still attached to the Lily he first fell in love with. He told himself that Lily was fine, just exploring things she shouldn't be for a little while, and then she'd get back to being the sweet, curious girl he thought he knew.

And then she died. Her pursuits led her to fall into the ultimate dough, and even then, PV refused to admit to himself that maybe Lily had changed before that.

When Lily was half brought back to life in the faerie kingdom, PV assumed she'd be herself again. She'd learn her lesson after dying at the hands of the witches, and everything could just be normal. But she still held her beliefs, and was still too different for PV. In an ideal world, they would've gotten the chance to talk through this, but some blue guy just crawled out of a tree to terrorize everyone's minds and that kind of takes precedent unfortunately!

Even now, with her being back, he yearns for who she used to be. He ignores the traits of hers that he finds undesirable, because he doesn't like that someone he loved so much has become someone who so adamantly craves something he disagrees with. I also think PV has a bit of a saviour complex as a subconscious defence mechanism against his own insecurities. He probably isn't aware of this specific feeling he has, but he doesn't like that Lily is so much more independent now. He liked being someone who could provide for her, who could protect her and guide her, and make her feel welcome when other cookies didn't, but she just doesn't need that anymore. She doesn't need him. And that makes him panic. Who is he if he is not needed? What's the point of him if he can't be useful? How can he possibly be of any worth to Lily if she doesn't feel the need to rely on him in some way?

He wants to be a benevolent, strong, kind leader; the kind of leader who loves all of his friends, no matter how they grow and change, but he just feels too differently about Lily to love her in the same way he once did. He's in denial. And he knows he is. Lily does too. That's the basis of their separation at the spire of deceit's entrance.

Their paths don't align in a literal sense, wherein they both have important physical goals that need to be achieved before the war kicks off, but their paths also don't align in a mental sense. They aren't partners anymore. They want different things. They care about different things. Neither wants to admit that they've both become cookies who aren't compatible anymore, but neither wants to change for the sake of the other, either. They still cherish each other, but not in the same way they used to.

So TLDR, no, I don't ship purelily. BUT I do think it was canon behind-the-scenes at some point in their past, and their feelings for each other is a critical part of both of their characters (and I think a lot of fan works are really sweet, I understand the appeal of the ship).

SPOILERS for "Fulgrim - The Perfect Son"

You were warned - Spoilers ahaed!

Okay, so it finally has happened. Pigs are flying, dogs are walking backwards and I am admitting that I'd rather read a Fulgrim-novel written by Graham McNeill than this one.

But to get to this point ... let me take the long route!

First - imagine a novel about a Primarch. Let's say Guilliman, because the Ultramarines are the example for everything. Let's say he returns. (Bear with me, I am not talking about how it actually happened for him!) And it is not explained at all, why he's back. What's his motivation. How? Don't ask stupid questions! Anyways. He's back. Now, what about his Legion? What about Calgar? Sicarius? His Librarius? Well, never mind, they don't matter, because (galaxy brain moment here!) - they don't exist! Instead they are replaced with a cast of new characters you never heard of before, but you are supposed to take as "have always been his favourites". And those characters are as generic as they come. Absolutely bland. Plus, Guilliman isn't even there most of the time. Also, apparently the Emperor is no longer a factor for anything.

That's the setting Jude Reid throws at the reader, just with Emperor's Children.

Okay. Okay. I can live with new characters. But maybe at least tie them with the rich history of the third? With all its glory and trauma? Harmony? Canticle City? The Phoenix Conclave? Anything? No?

Well. Then give them a gratious amount of Sex, Drugs and Rock'nRoll, because that's what they do in 40k? No? A bit? So Noise Marines aren't Slaanesh's sledgehammers any longer? Maybe remember how cool Eidolon and his Kakophonii screamed that White Scars ship to rubble or how Ramos tore down the Medean Gate on Luna? No? And the drugs are just some kind of better stims now? Like the stuff Lance Armstrong takes on a daily basis?

Well. Okay. No History, none of the cool guys ... maybe some Dark Prince-fuckery? No? Oh. The word "Slaanesh" is two times in the whole book and it's with sorcery, not normal EC or Fulgrim? And Dark Prince or She Who Thrirsts ... ah, nevermind. So, no Youngest God at all.

Well, Fulgrim is the mightiest servant of Slaanesh and he's the title character of the novel, so it's okay. Enough slaaneshi shenanigans for everyone! No? Fulgrim is there for about 5% of the novel and we never get his POV? Oh. Okay. Well.

Yes, I am disappointed. After Marc Collins gave us the great new Eidolon novel, I had high hopes Games Workshop wanting to bring out the coolness in the third Legion again.

But instead we got the most generic Chaos (not really) stuff ever. You could replace everybody with Red Corsairs and Fulgrim with the Tyrant and nobody would notice any difference.

And now I am back to the beginning. Why McNeill's EC may be horrible but way better than Reid's.

Because they are over the top. Because they are the superlative of extra. Because they are divas. Because they are trying to be cool AF. Because they are mean fuckers.

Reid's EC are what I always thought I wanted (my Midas-moment, if you will): Swordsmen. Duelists. But it turns out, that it is possible to fall to Slaanesh and hate excess (yes, Tamaris, the main char, is very offended by excess). Damn, girl! Take a page out of Ian StMartin's book and look up what excessive swordsmanship does for Lucius!

So, taking everything slaaneshi from the EC didn't do them any good. Apparently they are now Chaos Undivided, swear by "Gods" instead of their chosen patron God and such. Much generic. Wow. Sacrificing like they are the Word Bearers we have at home.

The ideal solution would be a mix of both: McNeill's extra queerness (because Reid's chars are giving off the most cis-het vibes I ever got from anything Warhammer! Even the Chaos Sorcerer reminiscing fucking Fulgrim is as sterilised as possible. I bet Reddit-Warhammer loves this book, because none of them pesky gays and their sexytimes!) and excessiveness and Reid letting them keep their beauty and dignity. It's very telling that the most erotic moment of the book is the main character kissing the guy he just killed.

Because that's the GREAT plus of this book. Finally! Beautiful Emperor's Children! Beautiful Fulgrim! Plaese, give me more of this! And they are (mostly) honourable! Awww, yiss! Yes, Reid is falling back into the way too familiar "uglyness and betrayal"-trope soon enough, but an effort was made.

But that's not enough to work as saving grace.

The novel is very clearly what @paniwarhamauser called "saturday morning cartoons to sell toys", because every buyable unit is mentioned and described very clearly.

But what this book is lacking, is a soul. An understanding for the EC's (and Fulgrim's - but the Phoenician barely features in the novel, so I will leave him out on this) unique tragedy, drama, history and power.

I am glad we got the great "Auric Hammer"-book (please let Marc Collins write more for EC! He gets them! Raging Eidolon gives me life!). And we still have Josh Reynold's superb Fulgrim-novel. But this new one is not for me.

I mean, we EC-fans have a lot of great novels and stories, compared to other Legions (poor Raven Guard for example). So I really shouldn't complain.

Well, rant over, I am calm and collected again and will continue reading the pleasant Alpha Legion-stuff I have left for the Fulgrim novel (may contain traces of Fulgrim). 😁

My episode for yesterday was S2EP13 "Obsession" - it was a pretty strong episode from a classical drama perspective, but what interested me most were the few halftone moments in which TOS still maintains its Shakespearean complexity.

Because I watch TOS in TV order, this episode came right after S2EP12 "The Deadly Years", and it felt pretty organic for me. If in "The Deadly Years" we are reminded of Kirk's ego (and how he actually controls it), in "Obsession" we return to his guilt. And these things are often intertwined. Jim's guilt stems from not living up to his own expectations, and his expectations are always high. And while most of the time they are justified, and his ability to judge his own limits is exemplary, he also has his moments of failure. But what really makes him a good captain is not that he can remain objective in his own judgments, but that he can admit when he is not.

Reminding us of S1EP14 “The Conscience of the King”, in this episode we see again how emotionally sensitive Spock’s concern turns out to be, and how well he actually understands Kirk. In fact, it's always interesting to watch - Spock, a Vulcan with pure logic who has difficulty understanding people's emotional motives, read Kirk so easily and unerringly. So we have this scene where Spock says the very words that Kirk needs to hear, even though he doesn't want to; the words that he actually knows but refuses to admit. And Kirk, of course, immediately distances himself from this; by suggesting that Spock devote his time to someone who really needs help (alluding to Ensign Garrovick, who, like Kirk, is struggling with guilt at this moment), he seems to be saying - I don't need help, I can handle this myself:

SPOCK: Captain, the creature's ability to throw itself out of time sync makes it possible for it to be elsewhere in the instant the phaser hits. There is therefore no basis for your self-recrimination. If you had fired on time and on target eleven years ago, it would have made no more difference than it did an hour ago. Captain Garrovick would still be dead. The fault was not yours, Jim. In fact, there was no fault. KIRK: If you want to play analyst, Spock, use someone else, not me. My concern is with the ship and the crew.

It's a very restrained and tense scene, all that I love about TOS actually - Kirk's profile in the semi-darkness of the studio shoot, his inner distance from Spock at this moment is physically felt, and I'm honestly ready to think that he really rejected those words. But then we get to the scene where Kirk, helping Ensign Garrovick understand that he did everything he could in that situation and should stop blaming himself and feeling guilty of things that were beyond his control, repeats Spock's words almost word for word, and then it just folds, falls into place - he listened to him, he didn't reject his words, he carried them within himself all this time:

KIRK: Very commendable, Ensign. What was your impression of the battle? GARROVICK: I don't understand, sir. KIRK: I'm asking for your military appraisal of the techniques used against the creature. GARROVICK: Ineffective, Captain. I realise, Captain, you did everything you could do. I know that. It's just that nothing works against a monster that can do the things that thing does. KIRK: And Ensign, what is your appraisal of your conduct on the planet? GARROVICK: I delayed firing. KIRK: If you hadn't delayed firing? No difference, Ensign. No weapon known would have made any difference. Then or eleven years ago.

And this is actually a very good example of the most important moment for me in the K/S dynamic - while Kirk is responsible for the lives and safety of his crew and ship, it is Spock who is responsible for the lives and safety of him.

The level of literal insanity of people.

If larry stylinson was a thing it would be even worse than what it was back then and it was already a catastrophy, and I say that as someone who shipped them, I admit that. I was a young teenager and they were cute, but even at the time I UNLIKE other people had basic human decency to a) leave other people out of this shit and b) not be delusional or bother THEM with it. Or their girlfriends. Or anyone. c) realize that they don't know me and I don't know them, respect their privacy and not take this shit so batshit serious or invade any of their lives. HOW can people do this. HOW boring and miserable must your life be if you live in a fantasy world in your head SO much that you cannot separate your...idk? Wishes? Fantasies? From what the people you emotionally depend on WHICH YOU ALSO DO NOT KNOW PERSONALLY? Do you not LEARN basic manners or behavior? Hannah is a real human being, just like Minho and Jisung are.

No matter how many posts or Videos you see or fanfics you read or edits you make, you have NO right to make any assumptions about anything in their life, let alone write bullshit like this.

And OF COURSE it's always the accounts who hide behind some idol's picture who they're also obsessed with.

This is not your fantasy world.

You can ship idols, i get it, some have chemistry. Yes you can wonder if there is something actually going on, that's a natural human behavior to analyze or wanting to understand relationships of other people - but REFLECT YOUR OWN FUCKING EMOTIONS AND THINK BEFORE YOU ACT.

It is NOT serious. Even people who are online a lot do NOT think of these people this way just because they make a funny tweet about it that says they "are going insane" or "want what they have" or "ask for one chance". It is a JOKE.

The internet is NOT REAL LIFE .

Idols are TRAINED PROFESSIONALS who perform and have STAGE personas. Interactions are fanservice. Even if they aren't - YOU DON'T KNOW THEM. YOU DON'T GET TO ACT LIKE YOU INTERACT WITH THEM ON A FRIENDSHIP BASIS JUST BECAUSE YOU FOLLOW THEM ONLINE. YOU DON'T GET TO SAY WHAT YOU "KNOW" ABOUT THEM BECAUSE YOU DON'T.

You watch videos and go to their concerts. You are a customer.

Your desire to have a relationship like theirs or someone who treats you like a kdrama boyfriend is a YOU problem. Stop supporting this "delulu is the solulu" shit just because some rare examples marry their celebrity crushes. Even for them it's nothing like they imagined you can be damn fucking sure of that.

Stop faking ai videos of idols kissing you or each other or ANYONE. Stop reposting rumors and taking everything so damn serious while being dramatic. Stop faking those texts. You never got a text from your idol and I AM SO SORRY TO HURT YOUR FEELINGS but you never WILL.

If I can do that and think like that even as an account who has some otps who are real people then mayyybe you should check your own way of thinking. let me make something very clear, because I'm getting the vibe that we're not all on the same page on this : I ship idols as FRIENDS. hot friends with great chemistry who have a lot of soulmate capabilty and would make an amazing couple. I consume content too. BUT I REALIZE AND AKNOWLEDGE THE DISTANCE THAT IS BETWEEN THEM, AND ME.

Fanfiction is a great way to express yourself, but the people who inspire you should be your MUSES. a fictional avatar created by writers to live in a story that is also very much NOT a representation of the actual human being that is being portrayed. Think of that person as an actor playing a role in a movie they wrote the script for, playing a CHARACTER.

NOT REPRESENTING THE REAL PERSON OR REALITY IN GENERAL.

Some of y'all have lost any kind of filter and ability to separate reality from fantasy and fiction. And if your life is like that and you feel like you have to escape reality to deal with it, PLEASE get help. I'm so serious. Many people joke about this online but some who read those jokes don't realize this is such a big issue.

You are projecting part of your problem onto a real person that should not be affected by it.

And there are many reasons for that - capitalism, the media, the companies who keep feeding into these delusions and parasocial relationships, but most of all, things can only be sold when people buy. You are part of the chain and that is not your fault but it is your problem. And that makes it your responsibility to solve it.

It's getting out of hand.

Get inspired. Have a little crush, fine. Be obsessed with some bad for a while.

They can be very important to you I get it. I've been there. I'd love to tell some of them that they helped me through tough times as well.

Now imagine if you did NOT over interpret every bit or every small cut in a video of them holding hands or touching each other.

"I would NEVER touch a friend like THAT" and then it's a back hug. I'm sorry YOU never had a friendship like that. I have. I WOULD, in fact, touch my friends like that. I would write songs for my friends. I would also make dirty jokes. Dance together even when we're nor dating. Cuddle. Sleep in the same bed. That's just a healthy friendship. (It can be, it does not have to be this way to be healthy.)

Lonely people obsess over celebrities to make up for the lack of social contact they have. There are studies on this. Look it up.

And the entertainment industry knows this and uses it daily.

Don't use them to built a parasocial relationship to escape your actual problems in life.

That kpop idol as well as your comfort character as well as your otp should NOT be your only source of happiness or part of your escaping mechanism. Y'all just don't wanna stop being delusional. A Word With Jikookers

You might have known that most of my posts go under categories like analysis and reviews, and I usually don't address hates and haters in this blog except a few times that I had to respond to some anonymous asks, which is now turned off.

I'm aware that no Jikooker likes to be policed by other Jikookers, I hate that too. I hate woke Jikookers so much, and this is not about policing you guys or telling you what to post about. But, as someone who reads tweets on army Twitter on a daily basis and follows almost every drama between shippers, I'm aware that antis sound so bold and brave recently for no specific reason, and this is expectantly triggering most Jikookers to fight back.

Haters get hit tweets by "comparing" moments, shading members, bringing back their old and frequently debunked theories, and fabricating the dumbest stuff to give themselves some sense of winning against the loud and clear truth of Jikook. If there was any competition, they had lost it many times since 2017, but this breed is not going to admit their defeat, and you can never convince them no matter how strong your logic and evidence are. 

I did that a few times, yes. I convinced several hardcore Taekookers that their ship is not real, and if there is one duo in BTS that might be romantically involved, it's Jikook. They admitted that to me after facing the evidence and facts that were hidden from them, but it didn't last long. Just a few days of interacting with their Tkkr fellas was enough to get brainwashed by more appealing theories and call me a liar and manipulator lol. This chain will never break, looking at the community of shippers in 1D made me sure about that.

It's not that they are trying to convince you (us, Jikookers), they are trying to convince themselves, the newcomers who have no clue about what goes on, the Tkkrs with some brain cells left who start to lose faith, and any weak mind out there is their target. It's already a lost battle for them, and they know it well. All they want is fewer losses.

But it's not just that, besides their attempts to keep their community big and in the majority, they are doing their best not to let you feel satisfied or winning (in the competition they made inside their minds). You need to knw that this is a mental war against Jikookers, and it's not just done by Tkkrs, all the breeds of Jikook-antis are on it these days, that's why I'm addressing them as antis and not just Tkkrs. For example, the other day, a JJK akgae tweeted something like 'jikookers are mad because JK likes girls', but in the quotes and replies, she had admitted that she was annoyed by Jikookers celebrating Jikook's new military photos. 

It's clear who is mad here. They deliberately and blatantly lie and project to belittle you, trigger you, and reach some level of satisfaction by affecting you mentally. So, don't let that happen, don't give them what they want. I already said there's no battle or competition, but don't let them win this mental war against you.

Why So Serious?

Joost Meerloo, in his famous book 'The Rape of the Mind,' says: “Logic can be met with logic, while illogic cannot, it confuses those who think straight. The Big Lie and monotonously repeated nonsense have more emotional appeal than logic and reason. While the people are still searching for a reasonable counter-argument to the first lie, the totalitarians can assault  with another.” Although we are not fighting a totalitarian regime lol, this is the exact reason that arguing with antis is pointless. They use 'theories' to debunk the 'moments', and call the real moments 'delusional and fake' while celebrating total lies.

 

Debunking lies is necessary, and everyone should do that as long as they are armed with perfect and mouth-shutting evidence. Otherwise, you should avoid it because nothing is more damaging than doing a bad defense. And these debunkings and defendings don't have to turn into arguments.

Joost Meerloo, in the same book, talks about a solution: “We must learn to treat the demagogue and aspirant dictators in our midst with the weapon of ridicule. The demagogue himself is almost incapable of humor of any sort, and if we treat him with humor, he will begin to collapse.”

Yes, you can debunk, correct, educate, and even argue in an unserious manner. Shipping is not that serious, anyway. Good humor is not insulting, we don't want to drag down or set anyone up. Spreading facts and truth positively and debunking lies with humor and ridicule is all we need to do instead of endless fights and anxious clapbacks.

This post was supposed to be a word, but it turned out as a long and boring essay of information that I'm sure most of you already heard so many times. But it doesn't hurt if we get reminded sometimes to think more deeply and get a better view on what we are dealing with.

I know abt the shit that Snape stans say abt Lily, but what do Marauders stans say?

You mean negative stuff? Well a lot of it isn't really directly negative, it's more just that people need her out of the way so they can ship James with Sirius's rando little brother. Even though this is ridiculous because nothing is stopping anyone, but I think newer Marauders fans can often overcompensate because many view shipping/stanning as a moral act, so the fact that they obviously don't care about Lily makes them feel guilty lmao. In fact I think there's arguably a tendency among mainstream marauders fandom to be overly positive about Lily just in a way that lacks the consideration and complexity people give to their favourite male characters. Like yes she's a girlboss but what else? Well-written characters are supposed to have flaws and foibles balanced with strengths, that goes for women too.

So while making her out to be a traitorous she-devil is obviously something I dislike, I think it can go too far the other way too, where she's just a 'sweet lesbian girlie' happily dwelling in the background with no real problems or depth or protagonism of her own.

Lily's often made a background character in The Story of Regulus, at the service of the narrative needs of the male protagonists, and typically paired with a random female background character in a way that can feel like an afterthought and really just a convenient shunting aside of Lily's character masked by faux-progressiveness. Making a character queer isn't a replacement for giving them depth and nuance. It's especially grating when the same people accuse anyone who points this out of 'reducing Lily to being a mother' even though it's that section of fandom who often uses Lily as a surrogate/baby-making machine for the male characters, which is quite literally, in the most literal, biological sense possible, reducing her to being a mother lmao.

For the record, I don't think there's anything wrong with having Lily be a background character, or not using her at all, on an individual basis. (although I admit I find using her as a surrogate fairly appalling as a concept. but that's just me.) I myself have used her as a background character and paired her with Mary in Lippy Kids. Also, it's fandom and people are going to do whatever they want, it's not up to me to stop them and I wouldn't want to lol. I'm not going after individual people for doing this in their own writing.

As I've said before though, I believe it's worth pointing out in a general sense because it's such an overwhelming tendency. I think simply being aware of the fact that you and people around you centre men in life and art is a positive thing-- even if you don't actively do anything to change it, because sometimes talking and thinking about the issue can lead to it changing on its own. We all do this to some extent-- I recently went through my own fics and realised I have more male-pov fics than female. I'm not going to write anything purposefully to correct this because that wouldn't feel natural and it's not a huge issue on its own, but I'm just aware of it moving forward.

Looking through any marauders' era tag (even the jily tag rip) or ao3 categories/statistics, etc, gives you a pretty clear idea of who is prioritised by fandom and who is not. And the argument that Lily is too minor of a character to care about falls a bit flat when characters like Regulus, Barty, and Rosier are so much more popular in mainstream marauders fandom than she is.

Curiously I have seen Marauders fans use the same exaggerated criticisms of Lily that Snape fans do (viz. 'she was a terrible friend!!11' which is so ridiculous given none of these beloved male characters are winning friend of the year awards.*) AND I have seen plenty of Snape fans who are normal about Lily, either because they like her themselves or are just able to be objective about characters lol. (also im asking from a polish perspective cause i know you are from here and most vidoes on the matter are from american perspective) how did you went about pricing? what were the first conventions you went to sell to? how do you go about stocking up? is there any conventions that you recommend avoiding? anything you could share

That's so interesting question! I have to admit that most of the videos about being a vendor doesn't work for me JDBDJDH unfortunately there's tons of cute content with people talking about their super inspiring art journey that is just a content, and I'm talking about videos from all over the world. Also don't get me wrong, those videos still can be super enjoyable, but you have to be aware that most of them are not real. I learned much more on my mistakes than on videos on yt or tiktok and I can tell that being a vendor isn't really different from working in a casual shop (the main difference is that you're your own boss, manager and employee). Also I want to clarify that everything below is just my own experience which may be different from other people.

So basically the store MangoMilkStudio was created by my fiancée about 6 or 7 years ago. I helped her a little, tried to open my own online shop as well but it quickly turned out that we prefer to work under the one name and I decided to start adding stuff on, at that moment, our common store.

Our first convention (that doesn't exist anymore) was in Wrocław in 2019 if I remember correctly. It was a barter-like transaction, we made some illustrations in exchange for the booth. We didn't earn much but we both had different jobs at that time and we saw making merch as some kind of a hobby.

If it comes to being a vendor and what cons I recommend- it depends on where you live, how much money do you want to spend on sleeping and transportation, how much on a booth, what kind of con you're interested in. The good thing about Poland is that we have SO MANY cons so you can pick whatever suits you best. I don't want to point out specific conventions, because I know that some of cons work for us but don't work for someone else and vice versa. I think the best way of deciding which con you want to attend is just applying and then consider whether it's worth it after the con is over.

The one but very important mistake that people usually do on their first conventions is that they're expecting to earn a loooot of money and they are disappointed when it doesn't happen. Being a vendor, even as a small business artist, is still a work related to trade and that means you have to put a lot of money in your business before you'll start to earn money, you have to create your own base of customers, you have to know how to talk to the client, how to talk not only about fandom stuff but also about your own products, how to arrange your table so all the products are visible for a client etc. It works on the basis of trial and error and can take a lot of time and effort.

About the prices - if you don't know how to price your product, you should try to check other vendors' price lists and then analyze if that price sufficiently covers your production costs (yes, including your time and effort). And for a love of god DON'T lower your prices too much because of the competition. It never works and it only spoils the market.

After each convention we try to save some money for the next con but also for a restock (and taxes JDBSJSH""" yeah, we unfortunately have huge taxes). If it goes to restocking items like keychains or anything that is acrylic, Poland doesn't really have much good manufactures unfortunately (I hope this will change in the future) so we usually buy stuff in China. I'm not complaining, products are well made, people are super friendly, the only things that can be exhausting are - tariffs, super expensive shipping and long time waiting for a package. So be prepared with some extra money and make sure you won't place an order a week before convention.

Few more tips:

- don't restock merch in large quantities if you don't know if people would buy it. I did it with my Deltarune stickers, people stopped to buy them and I still have tons of them hidden somewhere dhdbdh

- home printers and plotters are great for making things like TY cards, packaging, single stickers but I recommend to find good printing house or manufacturer. It's just more cost-effective in terms of time, materials and nerves. Also if you make a mistake it's on your own, if manufacturer makes a mistake you can ask for a remake

- most people at cons are super cute and friendly but some of them can be weird as well, don't be afraid to set your boundaries

- keep your cash close to you

- don't eat food that was offered to you by someone you don't know (even if that person looks like con helper)

- write down orgs' phone numbers just in case

- remember to eat and drink a lot of water

At the end I want to say that it's hard to make a living from just one artistic job. We have an online store, we're vendors at cons, I make tattoos, commissions (from time to time), now I'm trying my best on patreon. Most of the people I know, that are vendors as well, have a "normal" job. So don't feel bad if you want to start earning money with your art but you still have to work in a second job

8. What is one sweet gesture that they've done for one another on a regular basis?

Let's see. Cullen gets Eurydice out of bed every morning, which doesn't sound sweet until you remember Eury is a nester so he has to dig her out of the blankets and pillows and kiss her awake. She always pops up in a mess of knotted hair that he untangles while snickering to himself. Eury doesn't like waking up when she's comfy, but she'll do it for him.

Eurydice makes Cullen tea every afternoon. She started it back when he first told her about his withdrawals and she was just doing it 'so he wouldn't die'. Now it's a routine where Cullen doesn't take his medicine until Eury comes along to brew it for him. It never tastes good, mind you, but it's the fact that she cares to do it in the first place. His day just isn't the same without her tea and her hand brushing his hair back while he drinks it.

11. Have they said 'I love you'? If so, when was the first time? 

Yes, they say it often. I'll be honest, I don't know when exactly the first time was. I feel like it was a gradual thing, that it came out one day when there was nothing special happening.Just a domestic thing like quietly reading reports together or Eurydice preparing her supplies for an experiment. I do think out of the two, Eurydice is the first to say it. She's usually the first to admit to feelings, if only to get it out of herself after weeks of feeling nothing but confusion over it. It slips out of her mouth in the same way she says a scientific fact; undeniable and concrete. 

And because Cullen is, well, Cullen, he'll just sit there stunned for all of two seconds--and in those two seconds the world will end and begin again and he'll have questioned whether he's even in the same reality as her and somehow this all a mistake--and then he'll settled down because if Eurydice said it, there is no mistake, it's what she feels. he'll smile and say 'I love you, too' and everything will be right in the world.

12. What are their love languages and how are they incorporated into their relationship?

They both have similar love languages--specifically quality time. Spending time with each other and talking is all these two freaks do, really. There's no incorporation when its pretty much the basis of their relationship; they got to know each other by talking long, loooong walks around the battlements and just talking. Something is very wrong if Eurydice doesn't come for Cullen for their daily walk as far as I'm concerned.

Otherwise, Eurydice's secondary love language is Words of Affirmation. I don't think she needs to be told sweet nothings all the time, but she does need clarity. She wants her feelings out in the world as plainly as possible and she wants to know Cullen's feelings plainly as well. It's hard because neither of them are good at words, but that just makes the words they do say all the more important.

Cullen's loe language is acts of service, which isn't surprising at all considering he entered the Templars for that exact reason. He wants to get things done for Eurydice and he feels what he does speaks volumes better than any long-winded speech about love. We are talking about a man who prides himself on being her Knight and happily gets on his knees to serve her will. It's kinda his thing to service and act.

21. Would they be able to functionally cook a meal together? What would they make?Would it turn out well?

Can they cook together? Yes. Do I think they would make something good? Debatable.

I think Cullen and Eurydice could hunt something, skin it, roast it over the fire, and eat it. I don't think they would care if it was particularly flavorful so much as 'will this food sustain me for the first of the day? yes? perfect.' I don't think either of them are very good cooks, at least not at first. Cullen rarely had to make his own food back in the templar days and Eurydice lives off of foraging. When they have children, it's Cullen who is the main cook in the house by necessity and he comes fairly adept at it. Eurydice's job is gathering and preparing the ingredients--so she chops and he cooks.

Lucia plays Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn: Part 3 Chapter 12

Okay, I have played ahead way too much now, so. . . time to catch up on these play journals. I'll also really need to recall my memories for this one, cause the first part of this chapter I began around Christmas, and only ended it after Christmas.

Pelleas is really insistent on continuing the war. Back in the moment that really seemed like it was a clear sign of blackmail going on, but I guess I was a bit off on that.

Blood pacts! I actually read about Pelleas being in a contract with Begnion before starting this chapter, but this was super out of context and I thought it was just a regular contract of sorts. But also, with that concept introduced, my mind immediately went to Naesala, because he needs to have a reason for betraying the alliance.

Since I was streaming basically every chapter for my friend at this point and voice acted all the characters, the flashback scene with Lekain and Pelleas also made it clear to me that I needed to give Lekain a more serious voice. Previously, I had voiced him while holding my nose shut and making him sound a bit ridiculous, but his showing here convinced me that I needed to take him more seriously. Legit got goosebumps reading the story about him introducing the blood pact.

Now I can also see why Micaiah would get roped into some war crimes. . . buying time to find a way to break the blood pact. Good drama, this.

As for base conversations: the one with Pelleas and Micaiah. I've seen some people ship the two, and I can definitely see the basis for it. I'm getting a bit too yuri-brained (for hopefully obvious reasons) to really be for it myself, but I can admit that they'd be cute together.

Conversation with Tauroneo - short and sweet. Looking back though it really is a shame that he never really got to talk much with Ike, considering that he was supposedly a friend of Gawain's. But uhhhh, boots! I already had something in mind for those.

Conversation with Nolan - it's just nice to see him get some screentime again. I can already confidently say that the whole Dawn Brigade is woefully underdeveloped, so I'm glad to see it being acknowledged that Nolan realizes that something is going, but that he sticks with the others anyway.

And the final base conversation with Nico and his mother. . . ooof. Really drive the severity of the situation home, why don't you. Some good lines from Micaiah there, too.

Anyway - I got boots, and I still got the Celerity skill from one Tormod. And in these battle preparations I decided to be really fuckin' funny, and I just gave both of them to Micaiah. 10 movement Micaiah isn't real and she can't hurt you, you might think, but oh boy think again!!

Onto to the battle. That's a lot of enemies here, jeez. And it's acknowledged in-story, too, with talks about actual strategies here, which is neat.

I didn't see any battle conversations with Sigrun, Tanith or Kieran, cause they were just way too out there to conceivably reach. I did read over them on the Wiki's script though, and. . . well, more of the same, more of the pain. It's really nice to see though that even a more comic relief character like Kieran can have a serious conversation with Zihark about this being a battle that none of them really wants.

After the battle - I know that the soldiers are meant to be pouring oil down the valley, but with the way the in-game models make it look, it. . . really just looked more like they were vomiting to me. Thankfully that didn't really detract from the scene that followed.

Tibarn being really ruthless here, jeez. That's what it's like to be on the opposite side of the alliance, I suppose.

I would say that everything winds down a bit after this, but it really doesn't. Shit's fucked, it seems. Ominous dragon conversations - let's be real by this point it's obvious that Almedha is one - Rafiel shocked that Micaiah is on the opposite side of the war, Pelleas finding a way to "break" the blood pact, and an ominous conversation with Zelgius and someone else.

A ship I have with said character: I like to think that the Turks are all kind of lowkey involved in a general vague something that no one really wants to acknowledge or think too much about it. So I'm gonna go ahead and say all the other Turks

A BROTP I have with said character: Honestly I loved the hints we had of him interacting with Zack in Crisis Core, it felt like the least messy relationship Tseng got to have in the Compilation - with the Turks, he's the boss, with Rufus, he's a subordinate, with Aerith it's complicated at best, but it really felt he just liked Zack as a person. Maybe Rebirth will give us more of it, who knows

A NOTP I have with said character: I don't really like Tseng/Aerith, gotta say. I get the like basis behind it and why people ship it, but I prefer it as some kind of complex messy sorta friendship with a lot of difficult history

A random headcanon: I think it's funny if Tseng was the most well-rested person in Shinra. Like you see everyone there working overtime - whether it's actually working like Reeve, who honestly looks like he needs to sleep for 20 hours straight, or if it's their personal after hours fun like whatever Scarlet and Hojo are up to all the time. And Tseng does make a perfect candidate for overworked and exhausted to the bone with all the messes Turks without doubts need to deal with, right? But what if he wasn't. What if he gets his nice 8 hours of sleep every day and full meals and is just at peak physical performance all the time. People don't think he should be able to, that he should have way too much work for it, they always see him at the office, but Tseng is just magic like that. It's time to go to bed and he will go to bed

General Opinion over said character: he's a pretty enjoyable character overall, I like that since og we've had these hints that he's way more complex and caring than he lets on, I'm very into this whole morally grey villain thing he has. I never actually end up writing him or anything tho, I just find it hard to get a good grasp on him. Like he's enjoyable but at the same time he doesn't give me the same kind of serotonin supply other characters do, and he's just hard to work with on some level

Sephiroth

Sexuality Headcanon: gay but he himself almost doesn't notice. He's not interested in dating or sex for the sake of it and more often than not he himself doesn't notice what's going on, it's more like he just occasionally stumbles across someone he likes and he wouldn't quite call himself gay because for all he knows it might just be coincidence he ends up being into men

Gender Headcanon: tbh Sephiroth can be literally any gender imaginable, he has the range

A ship I have with said character: welcome to the Sefikura blog with the novel length Sefikura fic lmao. But also all of ASGZC is good

A BROTP I have with said character: in settings where I have only Sefikura as a ship going on, then I love friendship with Angeal, Genesis, or Zack. I also like Sephiroth and Aerith being besties but Sephiroth never admitting he may actually like being around her

A NOTP I have with said character: I'm fairly flexible when it comes to Sephiroth ships. I will say I tend not to read Sephiroth/Vincent because I'm a dad Vincent fan and that kind of informs my whole reading of their relationship, but since it's also just a theory I don't like overall care a lot

A random headcanon: thanks to his alien dna mix Sephiroth actually has ended up having a mild allergic reaction to some specific types of plants that normal human beings have 0 reaction to. I don't know what type of plant exactly, just that they're not common in Midgar and from time to time Sephiroth will come back from a mission with a mild rash on the exposed part of his chest and think it was just the leather chafing in a weird way. The Science Department could probably figure it out but Hojo is in too much denial to admit Sephiroth may have a puny human weakness like allergies

General Opinion over said character: before snapping he was a wonderfully complex character who was beaten over and over by the world around him and really just deserved a hug. After he went murder happy he became very entertaining and also extremely villain hot. 10/10 character he has it all

Rhea likes to know at least a bit of everyone who is staying at Garreg Mach and how they are doing, so don't be surprised if you someday receive some medicinal herbs or oils while you are going through a hard time either physically or emotionally with your studies.

If you decided to write her a letter to thank her for the unexpected help, she would surprise you once again by answering to you. She appreciates your effort to reach out to her and receives your words with an accepting warmth that you can feel through the letters.

Rhea is a busy figure most of the time due to her responsibilities as the archbishop, so it can get a bit tricky to find a moment to meet her in person. However, if something is troubling you and you happen to run into her, she will try to make some time in the day for you. No matter how many things could be in her hands at the moment, knowing you are relying on her will bring her a sense of relief that can make days feel a bit less stressing.

Because of these duties and the protection she has on a daily basis, you find out that the best moments to casually meet happen to be at night. You were surprised by this when it happened for the first time, as you were on kitchen duty and finished cleaning late at night only to run into her when going back to your room. However, it seemed almost as if she had been waiting for you.

It will be hard for her to admit her worries to you, although she tries to tell you some more personal stories from time to time. If you are developing a bond based on support and sharing thoughts, she eventually feels like she should let you know at least a bit more about herself, about that woman that appreciates your presence and wants to protect you as if you were her own child.

If you ever have trouble sleeping in one of those nights, she will sing a lullaby to you while you watch the starry sky from one of Garreg Mach's balconies. The place seems so huge from up there that you can only let the lullaby guide you into calmness as your worries fade away.

After those occasions, you will wake up in your room even if you don't have any memories of coming back. It's kind of obvious that the only possibility is that Rhea brought you to your room somehow, but if you are too shy to try confirm it with her she will not mention it. Accepting your decisions and helping however she can is the least a mother figure like her could do, right?

As time goes by, maybe even some other students will start mentioning that you are like her child and how she acts like a mother towards you. Well, it's not like you can really deny it when she starts to personally wish you good luck for every mission you go out to.

Seteth

Gaining Seteth's trust can be a kind of long process, and you weren't aware of how you had gotten in it just as he did not know when he started caring this much about you. But there you were, worrying him when chaos appeared in the monastery and making him smile whenever he saw you studying in the library.

He's happy to get you any books you need or that you are curious about. Sometimes, if he knows about your classes or is somehow involved with them, will prepare what you need to lend it all to you next time you go to his office or the library. He'll let you know he has something for you if he sees you walking around Garreg Mach.

However, the chosen family privilege doesn't mean he will let you go through forbidden books. I'm sorry, he acts and makes decisions to protect you and wants the best for you and your life at the monastery, even if that means saying no to your search for knowledge sometimes.

I hope you like fish because you start to pop up in his mind when he's fishing something for Flayn, and will end up bringing more fishes that he was supposed to at first. You know, you are always invited to their family dinners, Flayn will also love to have you around.

Flayn will probably be one of the first people to notice Seteth's fatherly attitude towards you. She also likes the idea of getting to know you better, so she will point it out to Seteth, who doesn't pay much attention to it until he realizes that the protectiveness he feels towards you is just as the one he feels for Flayn. Oh, did he just accidentally adopt you?

Will continue acting naturally with you, but if you mention that you see him as a familial figure, he will open up and reassure you that you are not the only one who views your bond that way. He'll also remind you to go have lunch afterwards. He's just like that sometimes; and don't mind him if he sounds too serious some days, he's just showing he cares.

May not be big on physical affection in the middle of the monastery, but if you ever need to talk about something that has been worrying you, he'll gladly give you a reassuring hug to comfort you. His days are full of work most of the time, but he knows family comes first after all.

I honestly don't know if I can properly answer this considering I write ocs here? As far as my personal writing goes, because even counting rp that's the only thing that I can really go off of, I've started to love Pixie x Sommer, specifically in the 'standard' verse as well as their Omega variants in their Val verse. I'm huge on multi-shipping, even with my own characters, so truthfully an 'all time fav' is difficult to name.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

It kind of just depends? Anything more than 8 years will have me looking at things a little more closely, but it's muse + situation dependent, and my 'tolerable age gap range' varies depending on the age of the younger muse. General rule of thumb? 4-5 years for muses between the ages of 18-25; then the 8 year rule for muses older. But I also acknowledge experience and maturity is a critical factor in these sorts of things so... case by case basis at the end of the day.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

i think a combination of ' the bikini rule ' and intent should be considered . ' the bikini rule ' covers , metaphorically , touches anywhere a bikini covers , so once touches start to be focused in those areas with sexual intent , i ' d start considering that nsfw . touching someone ' s butt as flirtation is nsfw , while jokingly patting someone ' s butt is more friendly , but still suggestive ? goodness knows i ' ve reached over and bopped a friend in the tit as a joke , with no sexual intent behind the move .

Hard yes, without a doubt, both for my own personal comfort and for the sake of future interactions and the like. Very few of the muses I write here are 'easy to ship' for varying reasons, the most common being severe trust issues + emotional self isolation due to trauma and other factors. Some, like Wolf, Sommer and Phoenix, are violent and abrasive as a primary response. To put it simply; most don't play nice.

ARE YOU SHIP-OBSESSED OR SHIP MORE-OR-LESS?

I kind of just go with the flow? With writing and rp, I have the philosophy of thinking of threads and stories as a vehicle out on the freeway, and while technically we're the ones in the drivers seat at first, these characters we breath life into have free rein to take control of the wheel at any time on a whim, and sometimes you get kicked out of the car entirely and lose control. I love ships, don't get me wrong, but if it happens, sweet; and if it doesn't, I can live with that, sometimes ships aren't meant to happen .

Hi there! So my ask might be a tad off basis but i just wanted to know your thoughts on Gojo's relationship dynamic with characters such as Shoko, Nanami, Ijichi and Utahime?

I know alot of people even ship him with some of these characters and that's fine too! But for me realistically looking at thing i don't think he would have been the ideal person for any of them. Not that he doesn't care about them, it's just not something he himself would be open about. I guess romance really was off charts for him, cept maybe that unique relationship he had with Geto, but even that is too complex and special to be put into a lovers category. What do you think? Thanks for the question! It is definitely loaded (but I like that). I am not sure how to answer your question 100%, but I assume you are asking how I feel about Gojo's connection to the characters you listed and its execution.

Tbh, Nanami and Shoko are probably the only people on this list that I have actually thought about Gojo's connection to. I will say, each of these characters you listed are connected to Gojo's time as a student. They have a unique perspective on him as a person vs. him as a jujutsu sorcerer.

To make this easier for you to read, I'll give each character a little section to discuss.

Shoko

For Shoko, I think this dynamic is obvious given the Hidden Inventory arc, but I think it is extremely overlooked by the fans. She is looked at as the useless third with Geto and Gojo by some people, but I don't see it that way. Shoko feels like a bridge and a clear mind to me. I use the moment with Geto after he killed his parents as an example. She completely read through Geto's motives and feelings. She was somewhat condescending in her response to him, because she is a character whose mind sees things from a “clear” perspective.

For Gojo, this provides him with someone he can be sentimental with, but also someone he can confide in due to her being the third in their class. Shoko truly knows Gojo, the Gojo that didn't feel separated from humanity. She had first-hand experience watching him become “the strongest”, and she also seemed like one of the few people who could truly understand his ideals. (The “Dream” Gojo told her about).

Nanami

Nanami and Gojo's dynamic is interesting to me because of their attitudes towards each other. As we know, Nanami had a hard time respecting Gojo, and we know now it's because of how selfish Gojo was with jujutsu. I love this. The thing that makes these two awesome for me is how Gojo knows that Nanami is a responsible person and trusts him. He is another person who knew Gojo when he was young, but he left the jujutsu world for some time. When he decided to come back, he called Gojo. I'm sure Nanami has principle Yaga's number, so why call Gojo?

I think this goes to show that Nanami knew in his soul that Gojo is a good person, no matter how strong his ego is. Nanami knows things have to change in the jujutsu world, but he respects rules. Gojo will trample on those rules if he needs to. I think Nanami does respect this, because there needs to be people in the world who push the boundaries. Ijichi

I don't have too much to say on Ijichi. He's a side character that adds some flavor to the overall system of Jujutsu to me. As a manager, seeing his perspective on their side of the battlefield is nice, but I think his connection to Gojo is just being someone he knows he can trust. It is truly that simple. As another person who knew Gojo from his student days, I think Ijichi is just someone who fits Gojo's comfort zone. I

(I must admit, I love that Gojo having trust in Ijichi was something that made Ijichi more confident in himself)

Utahime

I'm gonna be honest here.. I shipped Utahime and Gojo because I found their dynamic cute. She clearly dislikes him, but I feel like they are very similar when it comes to their students. They care a lot. I personally don't see any deep dynamic between the two of them, but I could see there being some teasing from Gojo to Utahime. Gojo seems like the type to never say how he truly feels, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was willing to be in a romantic relationship with her, but I digress, lol.

I think Utahime is simply a role player, like most of the JJK cast. She is a cog in the story, being a character who knew past Gojo and, like Ijichi, falls into his comfort zone. You could even add Mei Mei and Yaga to this list, of course with Yaga there is more to discuss as Gojo's sensei.

Overall,

Each of these characters represent a perspective on Gojo's life, and he respects them. He may have felt that they didn't truly understand him once he became the strongest, but they were there for him in his adolescence, so he could never dismiss them.

I agree with your statements about the incorrect use of nicknames toward whichever partner Wednesday is paired up with, it makes me cringe so much, especially with the 'Cara Mia' because like you, I cannot see Ortega's Wednesday using the same pet names that her parents use. Some people go ridiculously overboard with it, and I really enjoyed your breakdown over the incorrect use of the French pet names. Wednesday despises the sappy love between her parents, I highly doubt she would mimic that.

I've seen your posts pop up occasionally, I like some of the art you share, and I did try reading your story out of curiosity. But it did make me uncomfortable with the underage stuff due to past experiences, and that is okay for me to admit and doesn't mean you're a bad person for writing it. It's a fanfiction ffs, the same people upset about your pairing are probably having wet dreams over Wednesday murdering people or some other illegal shit 🤷‍♀️

It's also always okay to give reason to why any fic or pairing is something you avoid due to trauma, and you shouldn't have to say that aloud. At least, you don't to me. Hm, I'm also agreeing w the whole subject matter in general thing. I've seen a few fics where Wednesday is r#ped and/or tortured (usually by Tyler or Gatesmonster), but apparently others do, so whatever. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I can't impose on others my severe judgement on what gets others off (in terms of fiction and fictional characters), I can only say that Wednesday suffers enough mentally on a daily basis that I hate adding to that, or seeing it. N/C Wednesday is still precious to me, no matter how tempting it can be to smack her around a bit/knock her off her high horse (I was pleased though, when in canon she got her brow nicked...she hadn't had any reason to attack Bianca before then, aside from her calling her a psychopath (as if not everyone in the school already thought she was)...she was being a narc little asshole during the fencing scene).

As for the rest of it, I really didn't say anywhere that Wednesday shouldn't come up with any cute pet names for Enid, even suggesting that she could be creative enough to make her own compound words like "my little lupinette" (to me, something like that would make her bond with Enid much more tailored to whatever Enid brought out within her while distancing herself from becoming Mommie Dearest enough). Borrowing directly from them just... 💀 AB Wednesday is currently even more formal and uptight than any Wenclair Wends but is slowly learning, and in one upcoming scene she calls Donovan "Jim". My readers will see why (🤣🤣🤣).

Aside from crafting this Satisfying Universe, I had to sit and watch malignant psychopaths destroy the hopes and dreams of my fellow 🏳️‍⚧️ people in Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Missouri, etc. this spring and throughout the summer, so I'm especially peeved when I see anything that could be construed as trans exclusionary in here.
