*IF YOU GAZE INTO THE STARS / THE STARS GAZE BACK INTO YOU.
—— the paper-thin tightrope between dreaming and planning, forever an exercise in waking life; the ethereal glow of a glittering marquee; exploration by way of submergence — you refuse to live just in-between; the silver platter as equal parts servant and shield; hands unfamiliar with the unclean, reaching out for something to grasp nevertheless; ancient dreams in a modern land; the curiosity that led alice down the rabbit hole and kept persephone in the underworld; the fear of finding comfort amongst the fearsome; the shedding of skins in order to become.

*SUMMARY.
[ trigger warnings: parental death, violence ]
A teen starlet turned cinematic upstart, Sage has lived most of her life in the public eye. While her parents were distinguished diplomats and politicians in their own right, Sage’s sense of politics found its voice through art, film, fashion, and the expression of gender and self. Her early days of ‘celebrity’ can be traced to a docudrama series following the lives of several teens during their last two years of sixth form (think Skins). Though the series was spearheaded by experienced producers, writers, and directors, it was notable for incorporating the writing and directing efforts of its subjects. It was during the final season of the show that she began her transition, making her one of the youngest trans figures on the small screen at the time. The series ended with a finale special entitled “Introducing Sage,” and depicted her first foray after her transition into the blinding lights of the public eye.
With the series finale essentially serving as her application to any filmmaking school of her choice, Sage attended the National Film and Television School. Her graduate film project, Dream Sequence, an experimental short film in which a theater director encourages a young actress to blur the lines between her character and her actual identity, was equal parts exploration of her adolescent experiences, a critique of the industry, and a critical success. At the insistence of her professor, she submitted it to a number of independent film festivals and awards circuits, and capped off her formal debut into the cinematic world with a Student Oscar and a BAFTA Student Award.
Although her parents were undoubtedly supportive of her career as a filmmaker, they requested one subject to never be viewed by her lens, for fear that the family's personal life might irrevocably intersect with their individual personal lives. For a time, Sage was perfectly comfortable keeping them separate, having never quite found her foothold in politics in the same way her family had. The agreement stood as her mother prepped for her first political campaign, Sage standing proudly by her side as her own career efforts focused elsewhere.
At the campaign launch event, her mother's opening speech was met not by confetti and applause, but by screams through sudden clouds of smoke, and shots firing through the crowd. Her father, wise enough to see the writing on the wall from the very first strike of the marksmen's pen, shielded his girls to the point of fatality. His injuries took too heavy a toll on his body, and over three short months, his health faded into irremediable territory.
Sage threw herself into her work after his death, forgoing the agreement she'd made with her parents and becoming utterly consumed by the driving forces behind the attack. The little that she was able to uncover suggested gang involvement, their actions allowed by a corrupt Chief of Police paid to allow it. She became restless, entirely fixed on the culprits and the events that led up to her father's death, only to end up exactly where she began, with more questions than answers. Today, she's no less set on uncovering the truth, but knows truth is something not always acquired by sanctified means.
*SPARKNOTES:
Sage lives in a two-story converted warehouse in Bermondsey with her two cats, Gaspard and Delilah. Both levels are entirely open-floor spaces, which comes in handy when she’s working on a new film: the entirety of the lower floor becomes submerged in the projects aesthetics to further her creative process, while the upper, containing her studio and bedroom, remains relatively untouched. Naturally, the lower floor lends itself perfectly to wrap parties for one last hurrah in the world of the film.
Though she’s had several independent darlings and has started her foray into mainstream work, the film she’s proudest of is the one least known by the public: Dream Sequence. It was in this film that she not only tested her limitations at the time and pushed the boundaries of conventional student theses, but also first experienced the therapeutic aspect of working behind the camera that she’s since come to love. With each film, she attempts to recapture this feeling — and does to a certain extent, if only colored by different lenses — but it’s never quite the same.
Notable works (irl film insps noted, bc my brain doesn't work well enough to make imaginary films lmao): the semi-autobiographic short Dream Sequence (based on Madeline’s Madeline); the folk-horror feature The May Queen (based on Midsommar); the semi-autobiographic drama Pieta, a passion / therapy project to help her process her father's death.
I left it intentionally unclear in the bio bc I haven't fully fleshed out the idea, but I do picture her mother having had some kind of criminal connection that partially fueled the attack at the campaign launch. (more on this as a wc below!)
*WANTED.
*THE BODYGUARD » With the increased spotlight on her after her first mainstream film, she’s received an increased amount of bigoted threats. The threats in and of themselves aren’t new, given her public presence since the age of 16, but since the incident at her mother’s campaign launch, Sage has given into her parents’ request and hired a security officer who’s with her just about 24/7. This connect is very much as it says on the tin, but I’d definitely love to play around with her security being affiliated with one of the gangs to add in a little bit of spice!
*DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE » There’s something a bit Alice-like about Sage’s curiosity; it knows few bounds, and so has often led her to the more interesting sides of the city. This curiosity is what has drawn her to her most recent endeavor of exposing a corrupt Police Chief, something she’s approached with much fervor — too much to some, but, to others, something to be taken advantage of eagerly. To put it simply, this connect is for someone who sees her commitment to exploring the darker sides of the city as an utter opportunity.
*THE JO TO HER TEDDY » It’d be easy to type Sage as more of a ‘Jo March’ than a ‘Teddy Lawrence,’ but in addition to those characters’ shared daring, creativity, and principled natures, Sage shares more of the artistic and dreamerlike sensibilities of the latter Alcott character. It’s this aspect of Sage’s nature that I believe lends really well to a connect similar to Jo and Teddy’s; specifically, this connect is for a character who’s been in her life for years now, who’s seen her through all different sorts of things, and is someone to whom she’s felt romantically drawn. Whether this romance is a fresh and new development, or one that’s older and unrequited is entirely to be plotted! I definitely want to play the direction of this based on chemistry, so nothing is set in stone.
*BIRDS OF A FEATHER » Think Baumbach and Gerwig, Burton and Elfman, Scorsese and Di Caprio — famous writer/directors and their frequent creative collaborators. This is for a connect that’s as much of a muse to Sage as they are a fellow maker: someone who certainly inspires her, but is also a confidante and collaborator.
*PRIVATE EYES » As resourceful and connected as she might be, Sage definitely relies on one or two people for the kind of research necessary to make investigative documentaries and realistic dramas. This connect doesn't necessarily have to be strictly a private detective; in fact, I envision more so to be anyone from any background who offers their specialities / knowledge in exchange for something they want of Sage — all tbd and plotted out!
*ALL ABOUT EVE » This connect exists somewhere in between stalker, fan, and envier in relation to Sage. I can see this connect stemming from several different jumping off points, so it would really just depend on what your own character’s backstory was. To name a few ideas: perhaps they’re a former classmate, an avid fan, or someone who’d hoped to take her on as their mentor, but she kept blowing them off not realizing how much it upset them. I don’t see Sage as someone who goes out of her way to hurt people, but I can definitely see her being oblivious to others’ reactions at times.
*MOMMIE'S DEAREST » I left if intentionally unclear, but I do picture her mother to have some kind of criminal connection to one (possibly even both?) of the gangs. While her mother is most definitely a wanted connection, I also would love to explore criminals connected to this wc who know more about Sage than she knows about them — sort of like the distant relatives who come out of the blue when something's gone wrong, etc. I imagine this connect to skew a bit older, but we can totally work out anything!
*UNDEFINED PLOTS.
fellow art heaux
enfants terribles (akin to the above, but maybe with a more activist / political lean)
fwbs and the like (strange bedfellows, opposites attracting, etc.)
former classmates / professors (might have a specific plot forming for a former professor)
criminal influences
family connects (i picture the sheridans as a big family, so i'm down for whatever!)
politicos (associated with her parents or otherwise)
therapy / support group / mentor, etc.
family members
anything and everything!

Villains and Vampires part 7
Warnings: corrupt superhero, forced mind control
>Superhero<
Three days. That's how long it took for the swelling to go down enough for Superhero to see again. Vesper had taken care of him during that time, treating his severe burns daily with special healing salves that sped along the recovery process.
And Superhero had let him, biding his time until he was recovered enough to make his move.
Because in reality... Superhero had no interest whatsoever in a mutual alliance. He wanted his own desires met, and nothing more. He had no intention of making some stupid deal with his rescuer. It would be a waste of time, especially when he had far better things to do.
Like hunting Hero and Villain down, his mind growled viciously. They would not get away with humiliating him and nearly ending his life. That was unforgivable.
But specifically, he wanted Villain to pay. It was his fault all of this happened, after all. If he hadn't rescued Hero, Superhero would still have his favorite puppet under his command. He'd still be the leader at Agency.
He cursed himself for not seeing Villain for who he was before it was too late. Villain had literally walked right into Agency, and Superhero had given him a job! He'd fallen for the lie that Villain was just another dreamer who wanted to be a hero. Villain had played his cards well, far too well.
Superhero suddenly flinched, his alertness snapping back as the door to the room he was in opened, and Vesper came striding in, holding a plate of food. It was the first time Superhero's sight was restored enough to get a good look at him.
The man was tall and lean, his skin deathly pale. But his eyes -- his eyes were sharp, calculating, a piercing silver color Superhero had never seen before.
Vesper smiled coldly at him, and Superhero's blood froze in his veins when he spotted fangs.
Vampire. The word came to him like a flare in the darkness. Vesper is a vampire.
"Well, looks like someone's feeling better today," Vesper chuckled darkly, coming closer. He walked unnerving silently, as if he were a ghost that could just glide over the floors whenever he pleased.
Superhero’s chest tightened with nervous unease as Vesper sat in a chair right next to the table he was laying on.
He'd only have one chance to pull this off. He's been conserving his strength for this exact moment. For a single blow that would change it all, that would give him a massive advantage.
Even though Vesper knew who Superhero was...
...He clearly didn't know what he could do.
Superhero locked eyes with Vesper as the vampire leaned over him to help him sit up and eat. His pupils widened and then narrowed to slits with sharp intensity and focus.
"Obey," Superhero rasped with quiet authority. He delved into the vampire's mind, in the very essence of his being, carving a space for his superpower to reside in.
But Vesper's mind immediately rebelled and retaliated, detecting the foreign presence and identifying it as an immediate threat, scrambling to arm itself and push the danger out. Push Superhero out.
If Superhero was at full-strength, it wouldn't have worried him. He would have easily been able to deal with it. But right now... in his weakened state of health... if his control slipped... Vesper might realize what he could do and kill him before he could claim the vampire's mind. And then Superhero would have no way to get back at Villain.
Vesper let out a sharp hiss and jerked back as if stung, springing to his feet and staring at Superhero in blatant shock, bristling from head-to-toe with confusion and surprise.
Superhero was desperate to keep it from turning into realization.
Because realization would mean a death sentence for him.
"Calm," Superhero gritted out, sweating with the strain of maintaining his slippery grip on Vesper, whose mind was now like a raging thunderstorm, or a violent ocean, thrashing and writhing to escape his deadly claws.
But Vesper was not calm. His conscience was brutally aware of the intrusion, the mental claws poking prodding his defenses searching for a weakness to attack and exploit.
"What... What are you... How..." Vesper couldn't get the words out, couldn't look away from Superhero's piercing eyes that bore into him, that gaze razor-sharp and lethal.
Vesper's eyes narrowed in defiance, and Superhero shuddered in pain as a thick mental wall slammed down over the claws he'd been reaching out toward him, trying to shove them out.
But he couldn't let go. Wouldn't let go. This was his only valid chance to take control of the vampire. If he failed this... he wouldn't get another try, not now that Vesper was aware of what he was capable of.

(sasha pieterse) [THE STARSWEEPER]. Please welcome [LUXANNA LAWSON (SHE/HER)] to Huntsville, WV. They are an [30]-year-old [RESIDENT] who lives in [TOWN]. You may see them around working as a [OWNER OF THE FOOD MARKET]. Poor unfortunate soul. We’ll see if they survive. (katie, 26, she/her, est)
data.
— full name: luxanna lunete lawson
— alias: most people call her by her full name, those close to her call her lulu/lu/lux
— age/birthday: 30 years old, august 1st
— zodiac: leo sun
— gender/pronouns: cis fem, she/her
— sexuality: questioning
— occupation: owner of the food market
visuals.
— face claim: sasha pieterse
— height: 5'1"
— distinguishing features: much like her mother, luxanna is very rarely not seen smiling. her 'perfection' is almost unsettling, hair always styled pristinely, never a thread or hair out of place. those who knew her before the town changed knew her as someone different, a soft dreamer with often frizzy ringlets of blonde hair -- those who know her now see her as just a sweet yet confident woman, a born leader and efficient business owner. luxanna smells warm and soft and inviting, a mixture of vanilla and cinnamon.
personality.
— general: luxanna's personality is carefully engineered to mask the storm beneath the surface. she comes across as determined, kind yet not a pushover. it's a personality that she adopted from what she knew of her mother -- in actuality, she's anything but a leader. she's a dreamer, soft and tender, a romantic who wishes for something more than the life she has now.
— positive: empathetic, warm, passionate, idealistic
— negative: unrealistic, self-isolating, too eager to please
biography.
as the only child to two parents who had tried for years to have a child, luxanna was spoiled rotten from a young age and her parents adored it. she was their little princess, with big blue eyes and long, blonde hair. her mother adored dressing her up in handmade dresses and singing with her, namely show tunes -- luxanna's mother was particularly fond of annie. and luxanna could often be found at the food market with her parents, the owners, greeting customers and snacking on fruits and desserts.
as she got older, luxanna began to rebel a little. she'd never wanted to inherit the food market -- luxanna despised responsibility. she dreamt of one day being a mother and finding someone nice to settle down with. she was a hopeless romantic. part of her had never left behind that childlike hope that she could find her prince charming, and that he'd sweep her off her feet and take her somewhere new and exciting.
when she was eighteen years old, though, tragedy struck. that fateful storm that started the week-long massacre in town resulted in the death of luxanna's mother. it was a heavy blow to both luxanna and her father who depended on their mother so much. she was beloved in the community, a beautiful, strong woman who was never seen without a smile on her face.
after her mother passed away, and the town slowly began to recover, luxanna's father tried to run the market on his own, though it was quickly clear to luxanna that he couldn't do so on his own. his mental state had begun to deteriorate, in part due to the horrors he'd witnessed in town but in part due to the pain from being separated from his beloved wife.
and so luxanna did what she could do. she pushed her dreams aside and stepped up and became the woman that her mother had wanted her to be. she became the leader she'd tried to avoid becoming, took over ownership of the food market while taking care of her father.
he tells luxanna that she looks just like her mother. that she was just like her mother, strong and resilient and beautiful, a born leader. the words make luxanna sick, though by now she's gotten used to shoving that into the back of her mind. after all, her father needed her.

So I actually did this a lot faster than expected so uhhh here's the character pages. There were also all the locations until Jan 2021 (or whenever the space station update was) but nothing really of importance.
Anyways here's the core crew's entries, only Jake, Tricky, Fresh, and Yutani had 4 pages unlike the 2 the others got (except for Dino, Boombot, and Miss Maia who all share a single page)
Jake, the first character you meet in subway surfers is the group's leader!
[no speach bubble]
- his grades don't actually reflect his intelligence because he's "too much of a dreamer to focus on schoolwork"
- he constantly wants to go further than everyone else which is why he doesn't turn down challenges and dares (how can this possibly go wrong)
- his need for thrill makes him kinda insensitive towards his friends, he still cares about them and will do risky things for them. Sometimes just for fun.
Tricky, meet the gang's rebel girl— and dance diva!
"I gotta admit, that my ballet training comes in handy when I'm jumping obstacles in the tunnels! But I have to be careful not to twist an ankle — my tracher and my parents would kill me..."
- she can only use her money on things her parents allow her to
- if she gets caught by Ted her parents would make sure she never skates again
- she is a complete perfectionist and takes angles and physics into consideration, and if she can't emulate it perfectly she gets frustrated
Fresh, Fresh was birn in the wrong time: his head is totally in the 1980s
"I live my life by the five elements of hip-hop: MC'ing, DJing, breakdancing, graffiti and education! Okay and skating. Is there room for a sixth element? Who decides this stuff?"
- there isn't much that we already know i.e just saying "he loves the 80s" over and over again and his paragraphs are short. Justice for my boy.
- "Fresh is the most levelheaded of the gang — good at defusing arguments and keeping them all together. He thinks before he speaks, which is kore than you can say for Jake!" ...damnnn
- He feels as if his family is stifling sometimes, so he likes being able to get away from them.
Spike, keeping it real!
[no speach bubble]
- Spike is pointed out to have his fashion more closer to the 70s compared to everyone else's 80s vibe. So food for my "Spike is older" headcanon yum yum
- His boots are shit for skating
Yutani, the gang's resident tech genius, whose inventions are out of this world!
"Whatever my home planet is like, I hope it has lower gravity than Earth — imagine the jumps and tricks you could pull off! And it'd hurt less when you fell, too."
- Yutani thinks there is a tech-based solution to any problem
- She thinks she's an alien because of her missing birth records
- Yutani being able to understand the turbine is implied to be related to her alien orgin
- She also sometimes says more than she's supposed to on her streams (let Yutani do the next interactive stream, grill her on information instead)
Lucy, the punk girl of the gang
"Who said goths have to be mopey and depressed? Sure, I hang out in dark tunnels a lot— but I know how to have fun!
- so there isn't anything important just describing her outfits. But them calling her punk and then talking about her being goth is mildly annoying.
Frank, who *is* that guy?
[no speach bubble]
- nothing much (predictably) just making fun of his clothes.
King, who made him king?
"Heavy is the head that wears the crown, that's what they alwayd day. They should try wearing a crown made of paper! Saves a lot of neck strain."
- not a subway surfer, but he hangs around them because he wants to be included in the fun (justice for King)
- His design is based off of a kid on the album "you've come a long way, baby" by Fatboy Slim
Ella, fresher than Fresh!
"That little brother of mine doesn't know real music when he hears it..."
- She likes reggae music over Hip-hop
- that's about it sadly
Ninja, the moonlight shadow! (i love this title)
"I will strike when you least expect it. Not now. Or now. Look, it won't be when you're watching me."
- He still has no canon name
- A lot of talk about ninjas being assassins so I like to take it as their way of saying Ninja has killed and will kill again.
- His Yang outfit could be useful for sneaking around in the snow
Tagbot, the cyber-surfer
"My databanks contain over three million tags in two hundred languages! I can also spell-check your tags, if you like."
- Yutani is the one who built him, and its stated that he's inspired by Jake. Love her still but would like to know her reasoning to this bold choice.
Tasha, bringing good cheer!
"Give me an "S"! Give me a "u"! Give me a "b"! Give me a "w"! Give me a "a"! Give me a "y"! What d'you mean, why? It's today's word hung word! LOOK, I JUST NEED THE "Y" AND I'VE COMPLETED IT!!"
- there isnt actually a lot here, other than like "hah bet you didn't think you'd find someone like her being a subway surfer!" So were moving on. Most of these are like this. (Justice for Tasha)
Zoe, playing dead.
"Must...tag...walls..."
- she's one of those fast zombies which is horrifying
- She's also not very talkative
- She hasn't tried to eat anyone's brain... "yet"
- Again shes implied to have been dead since the 50s
Brody, too cool for school
"I surf anywhere... beaches, subways... its all just boards to me!"
- young lifeguard
- He's posh?? Maybe??
(These all share a page unfortunately)
Dino [no sub title]
"Roar! What else do you expect me to say? Im a dinosaur."
- "maybe its secretly Yutani"
Boombot [no sub title]
"I don't break down when I break-dance!"
- I hope youre hungry. For nothing. (Justice for boombot)
Miss Maia [no sub title]
"People think i'm mysterious because I wear this respirator mask... really, I just want to avoid breathing in paint fumes. It's good sense!"
- I hope youre hungry. For nothing. (Justice for Maia)
Guard and Dog, don't let them catch you!
"This job would be great if it weren't for those kids. I'd never have to do anything! Although them the boss might fire me for doing nothing..."
- Ted's boss reveal when
- Hes always following them around the world. He's the biggest hater in the subway surfers universe no one does it like him.
- Subway company either makes him wear costumes on holidays or he just does it himself
- He dresses up as NYPD, which im pretty sure is a crime to impersonate an officer...

Currently thinking about why Elend is my least favorite character
It’s not that I hate him, he’s a perfectly serviceable character. He’s a good man, a good leader, a good soldier, and now a good Mistborn. Which,, hnng. He just lacks depth imo
He did kind of have depth in The Final Empire. When he was introduced as a disheveled nobleman, a scholar and a quiet rebel within his own society. I’ll admit I didn’t love him much then either, but that was more to do with his role in the story lol. I’m a certified Romance Hater in my fiction, so honestly I think Elend was doomed from the start in some respects XD
But by the end of The Well of Ascension, Elend is just,, good at everything. He’s noble, he’s stands up for himself, and now he’s got incredible Mistborn powers to boot. In short, he’s boring!! Incredibly boring! There’s no conflict of personality traits here and I’m mad about it!
Look at Vin, who began as a scared little girl hiding an inner strength. Who is now vicious and blunt and struggles with the weight of the responsibility she’s found herself with. Or Ham, the straightforward soldier who constantly prods at philosophy. Or Sazed, a seemingly quiet scholar with a quick wit and hidden rebelliousness. Breeze claims to be a manipulative bastard, but we know him to be a good msn deep down. Clubs was gnarled and grumpy, but there was a softness to him too, deep down. Dockson was calm and ever practical, but secretly just as insane as everyone else. Kelsier was a dreamer, a laugher, and so incredibly ruthless
I just,, he should have stayed a scholar. The ideas man. Fascinated with unraveling the mysteries the crew finds over the course of the plot, philosophizing with Ham, brilliant and emotionally intelligent and still doesn’t know what a hairbrush is. He’s their dreamer. Their unhinged genius running off of five cups of coffee and no sleep. He comes up with harebrained schemes and Vin goes “yeah I can pull that off” and then she does. That would make him about 500x more interesting in my book, it gives him the personality tension he lacks! He’s the kind of character who should be poised and well spoken, and instead his veins are made of caffeine, his hair is a mess, and it’s a small miracle his sentences are coherent
You could even still let him have Mistborn powers, if you really wanted too. Let Vin take the focus on iron and steel, the first things Kelsier taught her. Then let Elend do the emotional stuff. Taking the edge off the idea that his plans are utterly insane, and encouraging a little bit more reckless confidence in the crew. Kelsier might be gone, but he left a legacy in the two people he saved. Vin is his skill in allomancy, his power, his recklessness, his love. Elend is his dreams, his plans, his ability to engage a crowd. She’s got practical street smarts, he’s book smart. He says “my research says X is sound” and she says “okay” and filters it through a layer of practical experience on the streets so it can be pulled off.
Also axe relationship with Vin. Just let them be ride or die besties! Siblings! Platonic soulmates! Two peas in a pod, but not in love. They’d be way more interesting that way imo and tbh Vin needs regular friends her own age lol

silly infodump under the cut until I write their bios today:
d1 - cashmere (rachel mcadams) and gloss (chris hemsworth), cashmere’s kind of terrible on acc of d1 girls definitely getting the brunt of the prostitution stuff, gloss experiences it too but less sometimes. he’s more of a big brother n he’s generally the one that pressures cash to be nice bc god knows she won’t on her own
d2 - minerva (isabela merced), she’s the sister of brutus (@meathungrylamb) who won her games like fifteen years after; generally famous for having to use a hammer to kill in her arena bc the other careers stole her spear (also! dinosaurs) & pandora (bailey bass), who was never supposed to be in the games but became famous/got sent in after her older brother atlas (@meathungrylamb) died saving a girl that reminded him of her
d4 - caspian (maxence danet fauvel), brother oc to my finnick, was 18 when finnick got reaped and acting as the head of household since their father died; worked at the docks to keep finnick in training and often yearns for a better, more successful life. dreamer. awkward, standoffish, kind of fumbling. very smart & loves to read, popular in the capitol because of being an odair so he gets carted out with finnick sometimes. does not know abt finnick’s prostitution because finnick doesn’t want him to be at risk
d7 - padme, youngest víctor ever (if I ever change it for finnick she’ll just have had the title before him), becomes a maternal figure to a lot of victors after her win & built d7’s image from the ground up, also a key rebel leader after. won without a single kill & was popular in the capitol after for her wit (they were practically making fun of her I hate them). was pregnant with twins and lost them some time during her career as a victor, is retraumatized by coin during the rebellion. and sequoia (sophie nelisse specifically as shauna, reaped when she was pregnant, forced to go into labor in the arena and only alive thanks to ximena — if sequoia’s alive ximena is dead n vice versa)
d10 -ximena (nailea devora), eldest of nine siblings, grew up on a ranch and became famous for keeping her district partner (12 year old boy) alive until the top 3, where she ended up having to mercy kill him when he was dying of starvation and infection. she used methods she’d learned from dealing with cattle and sang him to sleep as he died; very much a “could have been a spark of rebellion but it went nowhere”, like padme

English translation per @hilacopter 's request:
Enough. Fuck it. I'm saying what I have to say. And if any right-winger has anything to say about it, then just don't. I didn't ask you. Call me crazy or a dreamer but do it somewhere else.
Israel is in an insane position of power. Since October 7th it has been in this position, probably the strongest we've ever been in history. And although we've managed to make every terrible decision you can make, we still have a lot of power. What we don't have is a leader who knows how to use this power. Or to be exact a leader that wants to use this power.
In the coming years a Palestinian state will be established. It's no longer a question. We are so far over the edge that it's amazing that there's still even a single person in the country who thinks otherwise. Let's put aside the fact that a Palestinian state should have been established decades ago and we'll put aside all the crimes both sides have commited throughout the years. A Palestinian state will be established by hook or by crook whether we like it or not. The only question is what will be our role in this event.
The main idiot claims day in and day out that he will not have a Palestinian state established "unilaterally". Well then honey, this is your chance. A smart leader, a wise leader, whos balls aren't kept in a jar on Ben Gvir's shelf, would make this sort of offer:
We get all hostages within 48 hours and in exchange we release zero terrorists. You read that correctly. Zero terrorists. Instead we will offer the establishment of a Palestinian state within three months. Within three months we will come ourselves to the UN and apply the offer to officially recognize a Palestinian state.
Let's get into details now, because big titles are just for drawing attention:
1. We will get both the living hostages and the dead, with significant threat and sanctions for every hostage who will be revealed dead over the current known number so they won't start killing them for fun.
2. The immediate resignation of Abu-Mazen and his permanent removal from political life.
3. Exchange of territories within a year to settle the borders.
4. The Palestinian state will be completely demilitarized and will stay so in an agreement and under international supervision for as many years as we want to set in advance.
5. The extradition of only four people - Sinwar, Haniye, Mashal and Abu-Marzouk. We don't need anyone else (neither we nor any other country in the world has the ability to sue and hold tens of thousands of terrorists. Get this fantasy out of your head). Four people for a country? Seem like a pretty cheap price right?...
6. These four will be sued in Hague for crimes against humanity according to thw international law.
7. The complete disarmament and dismemberment of Hamas and all other terrorist organizations in Gaza and in the West Bank.
8. Entry of an international military force to demilitarize the Gaza Strip (they can handle the repercussions of this shit like we should have forced them from the first moment).
9. Reclaiming all the funds Hamas leaders have stolen from the Palestinian people and their investment into the rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip, a project in which Qatar and Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Arab nations could gladly be a part of. It will be nice if they will pay for subway tunnels instead of terrorist tunnels for a change.
This offer could lead to one of two outcomes: either we solve 70% of the country's problems and start the process of rehabilitation and healing of both peoples in the direction of regional cooperation and sustainable peace or... Hamas will refuse because of course it will and prove he has no want for a Palestinian state as it has always declared and maybe we could finally encourage the people of Gaza to rebel against the organization that refuses to give them independence and we truly work together to free the Palestinians from Hamas and give them the independence they deserve and not just with bullshit slogans in protests.
Listen to me and listen carefully. Peace will not happen tomorrow or the day after tomorrow or in a year or in a decade. But if we won't start it it will never happen. Stop fantasizing about a reality in which you don't need to think about anything. Stop burying your heads in the ground. And stop fucking hating everything that moves that says something a bit different then your opinion. So get your heads out of your asses. I didn't ask you to love them. I ask that you love yourselves. I didn't ask that you be friends. I ask that you choose life.
There is no progress without cooperation.
There is no Israel without Palestine.
There is no Palestine without Israel.
Enough with death.
Enough.
We build tomorrow now and we can only to it together.

🔮 PICK-A-PILE - WHAT TYPE OF PEOPLE DO YOU ATTRACT? 🔮
PILE 1
You attract people that are really hard to please, that are usually really demanding but somehow they always trust you. You attract people that are really smart, smart enough that they let you lead sometimes. All the people you attract, you don't just attract, but they also get attached to you somehow. You attract a lot of jealous and possessive people, even if you don't pay them any mind. At the same time, you also attract giving, nurturing souls. These people can also be pretty religious and more traditional than you.
You most likely have fire placements in your chart, but you attract a lot of Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer and Libra placements, especially with friendships.
You tend to be the leader of your friend group. You only want people near you that are not the smothering type, but that doesn't mean they won't still try to cling to you. Be careful who you allow in your energy, because I feel a lot of obsessive energy around you. You also tend to feel that your friends want to be more than just friends. You're not that easily influenced, and you know what you want, but sometimes people sneak themselves into your energy because of your confident but still relaxed demeanour. Work on setting boundaries and you'll have nothing to worry about.
PILE 2
It looks to me that you attract a lot of mature people. You also attract those who are traditional and really stable emotionally. However, these people are also pretty stubborn and persistent. It's likely they will cling to you and even end up romantically interested in you. These people are pretty closed off with others but will somehow always trust you, and they'll even let you lead them in some parts of their life. It looks like you attract quite busy people, those who are money making machines.
You'll attract a lot of Taurus, Cancer, Capricorn and Sagittarius placements during your lifetime. As for yourself, you most likely have Aries, Aquarius or/and Pisces placements.
Unfortunately, if you're a spiritualist, or just someone who doesn't go the usual way or is not traditional, you tend to attract people who won't support you with that. I think this started with your family that you had to rebel from, and will continue through the rest of your life. You stand out from the crowd, and people can be really fascinated by that, but they need to realise they won't end up changing you. Only the ones who realise that about you are going to end up staying in your life.
PILE 3
I see that you attract people who are very adventurous and rebellious. These people are unpredictable, they are dreamers but still with a very fiery personality. You attract action oriented, even impulsive people. They may even be very radical at times.
It looks like you attract people with Aries, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Gemini placements, while you most likely have Pisces, Leo, Capricorn and or/Virgo placements.
At the same time, I feel like you manage to attract people that don't have their best intentions with you. It's likely people will get close to you because of your success and money. Make sure you're careful about deceitful people too. You tend to attract people that are fearless, for better and for worse!
PILE 4
You tend to attract very confident people. These are also people who are not scared to take on responsibilities and often help others. They show vulnerability too, and they speak their mind whenever they need to. You also tend to attract very busy people. I feel like you're the type of person who doesn't need to be with your friends all the time. Whenever you need them, they are there, even if you haven't spoke with them for a while. You attract good people that have good intentions towards you.
I feel that you attract a lot of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Capricorn placements. I also feel like you may have Taurus and Scorpio placements yourself, Libra or/and Aquarius placements.
You don't tell your business to a lot of people, and you only allow people you can trust completely near you. It's very likely you have friends now that you had since you were a teenager. These people know all your secrets, sometimes you feel like you can't afford to lose them. Good news is, it looks like you won't! You attract people who are extremely loyal, but are just as honest, sometimes even critical, and you can always count on them to tell you the truth about yourself.

Here is the thing about Cassian and Azriel. How is their influence in Illyria? I know Cassian is actively trying to change his people even when the progress is slow. And Azriel, he hated his people right? It is understandable. But i kept thinking, how will you change your people if you spend most of your time in Velaris? I know Cassian have his room in House Of Wind and practically lives there with mor, az. Then think of his people feel about this. Their general lives in velaris, safe warm clean no clipping wing. As if their own general is running from illyria and they know of it.
If it was me, I feel rather sad and offended. Sjm keep using this "bastard" excuses for cassian to be outcast from his people. But that somehow dont make sense. There must be a few male willing to be his friends if effort is make. Not all illyria is horrid as depicted. And jf he had no friends in illyria, how is he going to change his homeland?
"A man with no friends, is a man with no power". I stayed true to this and I believe Cassian is accepted as general merely because of Rhys. If Rhys is discarded in this dynamic, where would Cassian stand? I feel as Cassian whole life is too dependent on Rhys influence. Make friends with your people, Cassian. Learn them, show them, win them. You need friends outside your inner circle. Apart from feyre having no friends outside the IC, same goes to all of them. They need friends outside their IC, outside velaris. It so weird you know being so tied to your circle. It is not healthy.
Bit by bit, Cassian can change Illyria, he can do it without Rhys if he plays his role as friends well. To influence a person, surely you need to be likeable, at least relatable, then you became friends. As for Cass, he is already Illyria, stay true to his people, this can be a start. Convo about the celebration, food, song. How can he not have a single friend outside IC?
It is not surprising Illyria wanted to rebel. I would too. Their only voice to the HL is their general. And EVEN their general has little voice in it. They are not heard you know. Despite all the power Rhys have, his influence stand behind this 'fear' he created, not from the respect of his people. Same thing goes his people in hewn city. Who is Mor to them? What influence Mor have on them? Did she have friends in hewn city? No, she practically ditch them to be this 'dreamer' while the rest left in their nightmare.
Then we have this whole Feyre and her wing. Goodness, what does Azriel see and feel when he taught her to fly? Then goes back to his mother and see the wing clipped while his High Lady flaunt it? Goodness, it riled me up thinking about this.
Cassian could be pivotal to change in Illyria. If the society is as bad as they say then there would be many more little boys - just like Cassian - who are abandoned and have to fend for themselves. He could be their role model. Someone like them who now stands alongside the high lord. He could be the one they look up to and respect. Cassian could give them hope that they aren't just bastard born, lowest members of society. Instead, they have to start from the bottom rung of the ladder, fighting for any scrap of respect - and never receiving it because "that's how Illyria is".
I absolutely agree with you that it's crazy that they don't have any of the IC residing in Illyria or the Hewn City. How can they spearhead change if they hate to be in the place? They don't have the respect of the people because they don't deserve it. They have utter disdain for Illyria and the Hewn City. Their only appearances are to belittle them or to recruit them for a war.
It's the same attitude of Mor; well I got out so too bad to the others! In ACOMAF, when they arrive at Windhaven, Mor says the place should be burnt to the ground - literally as they arrived there. They all have such disgust for the place, but none of them will put in the work to change it. It is your job!! You are the leaders!!
Feyre could literally shift to any sort of wings. Fairy wings. Butterfly wings. Bird wings. But she chooses Illyrian. It's such a slap in the face to all the Illyrian woman who have to bow down to her as high lady. I think if Rhys' mother had her wings clipped - if his father arrived a minute too late - then maybe they'd have started to change things. I never actually considered what it must be like for Azriel to see it as we believe is still alive (and presumably clipped). Also as he didn't learn how to fly until he was 11 then surely he should be even more motivated to stop females losing their flight?
