I don't remember the name of this fic but I will add it in later. It was a Jonsa time travel fix it AU.

The conversation takes place after S, A and J explain everything to Ned.Ned speaks to Jon privately and says this (paraphrasing abit):

"My wife hating you solidified the lie I told that you were my bastard. Her reactions to you and her despising you proved to be the best protection of all. Sealing the lie as truth that you were my bastard son."

Ayyyy when I read that paragraph I was so hurt but also bruhhhhh it was so smart.

This is an angle that I've never considered before and I love that we get to explore all sides of a universe and its characters in fandom.

I need to rant about Jon Snow just because, (this is my opinion and you don't have to agree or disagree so please no hate, also English is not my first language so there may be some mistakes)

Let's start with the fact that I honestly don't really like Jon Snow, I don't like how they just randomly gave him achievements that had nothing to do with him, like:

- Saying that he avenged the Red Wedding when he did absolutely nothing about that and the only "hero" of the situation was Arya Stark (love her btw).

- Saying that he won the Battle of the Bastards (the one against Ramsay Bolton) when if it wasn't for Sansa Stark and the Knights of the Vale, Jon and his whole army would have been killed.

- Also he is NOT the Prince that was Promised, as Missandei said that noun can be translated to both prince and princess and the writer has confirmed that Daenerys is the Princess that was Promised.

And I also don't think that Jon is the rightful heir to the throne, I think Daenerys is, and that is because in House of the Dragon (when Aemond and Criston Cole are looking for Aegon to crown him king) Aemond says that if they don't find him, he will become king, but why did he say that? Aegon had two male kids so they should have been next in line right? I think since Aegon wasn't king yet his kids couldn't have been in line for the throne, I believe we can apply that to Game of Thrones: since Rhaegar wasn't king when he died his kids couldn't become the next heir, so I think the succession passed down to Viserys and then to Daenerys.

I DECIDED TO MAKE THIS POST ABOUT JON SINCE I HAVE SEEN SO MANY DEBATE AMONG PEOPLE REGARDING JON SNOW, ABOUT "IS JON SNOW MORE A STARK OR A TARGARYEN?". HENCE WHY I WRITE THIS❗️

Why is Jon Snow considered/seen as a "STARK" FIRST above anything even though he doesn't/hasn't had the stark surname? Why HOUSE STARK is Jon Snow's main family and identity? Why his stark side is more dominant?

Here it is the answer❗️

Jon Snow’s Case:

Raised as a Stark: Jon Snow grew up with the Stark family. Even though he is a half targaryen and half stark by blood, everyone around him knows him as a Stark because he was raised by them.

Seen as a Stark: Because he lived with the Starks A.K.A his mother's family and was close to them, people see him as part of House Stark. His actions and relationships with the Starks make this connection strong. He leaned towards his mother's house more (Lyanna Stark)

Conclusion

Jon Snow: Even though Jon doesn’t have the Stark surname officially, people see him as a Stark because of how he was raised and his relationships with the house.

In short, Jon is seen as a Stark because of his upbringing and relationships, even without the surname.
