It's a shame that Shadowhunters was based on a book because honestly I would loved for the show to explore Jace & Maia some more.

i cant believe maia's butterfly tattoo was actually in the books??? remembering #jaia on this day. the single most insane yet perfect decision any of the writers on that show ever made. not sure what compelled them to make that a thing but it sure as hell did what they intended it to do and more. truly a moment for the history books

love being back and forth between the dorm and her family’s place she’d gotten used to, but never failed to effect her. being the older two of the group, on daisy’s seldem free days she often found herself wanting to wander into her room when she wanted company, only to find it empty. they rarely were split up for variety and schedules, but sometimes deiji looked forward to the one on one time with her. she loved jinnie to death but the vibes were different, laid back, mature in a different way. 

she often, shed the mask a little bit with the other around. felt less like a leader and more like an equal, a friend of sorts though deiji wasn’t actually sure if any of her connections were real or a reflection of the mask she’d held on since she was young. jaia was, buzzy, thunderous in a way. nice and calm but grey  clouds that made daisy feel...blanketed in an ambiance she could relax in.

finally looking up from her phone her chair, eyes peering around the pins that held the water waves they were trying to cement to her forehead for their appearance. “i think i prefer the late night talk show-y type stuff better.” she said those eyes directed to the vocalist. her london-er drawl curving and rounding out her words. deiji reached for the pile of snacks in front of her, picking up a bag of chips for them both and tossing it over to jaia’s station. “do you think they’re gonna gab on about our scandals and dating life and know nothing about our music, or only know about our brand deals, and still know absolute shite about our music?” deiji added with a laugh as she sat back in her chair, pulling the top of the bag apart.
