I think both Jocelyn + Luke deserve more scenes, especially them together (what's their ship name? Lukelyn? idk lol)

uhh what was his name? the aldertree dude. like bro you put simon in a prison :( that's really super mean (he's even more annoying in the show oml)

actually i really don't know tbh. i think i liked jace taking clary out in the city of lost souls (minus the fact that his soul was bonded to sebastian and stuff) and that they did enjoy themselves a little :> (then fucking sebastian came along and ruined it all. fuck you.)

- who is the character that you find boring?

Tbh it's probably be Robert or smth. He was just kinda, meh, and he just like...disappeared from his kids' lives for most of tmi. Which uh does not give him any dad points. And I just don't really like him that much.

He really is. Every scene he's in is really fleshed out, and he has a ton or layers.

I really hope he (and Michael, because I think that whackass doomed love story is fascinating) are in the Lukelyn story.

The funny thing is that Robert Lightwood might be my favourite modern TSC character out of all of them. Like, Clary and Simon are up there and give him a run for his money, but Robert is just so... complex, I guess? And I feel like the "bigoted asshole grows and improves as an adult" story isn't one we get to see enough. Also I adore his internal monologue it's super gay and unhinged.

him being your favourite is kinda real actually 😭 like you're so right he's such a unique character & everything we know about him is so interesting. I wish we got more of Robert obviously but at the same time, there's so many layers to the scenes he is in I can't complain too much. he's just so interesting to think about.

What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

ok i think this mostly applies to popular ships so i’ll list those at the end but i’m a huge salty bitch so i’m just gonna like. talk about ships i hate that i’ve seen people actually shipping. sorry lkfghjfgh it’s just oh my god im such a salty bitch there are so many like

basically anything with jace im sorry. jimon? why. sebjace? even more why. jalec? disgusting. clace? really? like he has no chemistry with anyone im sorry

izzy is so funny because on one hand she is extremely shippable with so many people (clary, maia, meliorn, for example) and then there are a select few that i just personally don’t like (simon and magnus--izzy/magnus feels so viscerally wrong for some reason, i actually hate it, but barely anyone i’ve seen ships it). but like. the worst. is that people genuinely actually ship her with people like jace (gross, why?), jonathan (EXTREMELY DISGUSTING, WHY?), valentine (and i thought it couldn’t get worse, but nope! there are fics for this. actual serious fics.), and hodge (WHAT?). i’ve seen a few, thankfully rare, with alec. which. i can’t even get into that

maia/jordan. people ship this. why. why. why.

alec/anyone other than magnus. underhill, jace, simon, sebastian, clary, random white people from other tv shows, etc.

izzy/lydia, jace/lydia, MAGNUS/lydia, why do people like lydia,

not many people ship magnus with anyone but alec but it’s cursed 90 percent of the time when they do

izzy/raphael isn’t popular but also why. i mean like, in canon, they’er actually the worst, she treats him HORRIBLY and generally it’s very unhealthy

i also don’t love saphael in canon but i love the potential enough that i don’t hate it in fics

“So that’s why you’re hiding over here with me then?” Jace’s lips twisted up as he stared at the elder Lightwood who made his heart beat faster in his chest.

“I hope you don’t mind?” Alec slid a shot glass over to Jace in an invitation.

“No way, I’m just waiting for my mom to start on that line of thought with me as well.” Jace took the offered glass and they clinked them together.

“Well if you need to escape I’m free.” The booze was loosening Alec’s tongue and he only slightly regretted his words but it disappeared when Jace’s cheeks turned pink and his lips parted a bit.

“I’d like that actually.” Jace managed to get out after a moment of shock.

“I think I would too, so how about we sneak out of here and get some actual food?” Alec knew that he hadn’t been impressed with the salads they had been served.

“Oh god, yes please!” Jace grinned in relief and took Alec’s offered hand and the two stumbled out of the hall, both ignoring their sisters giggling and high fiving as the two left hand in hand.

I like how the first season of Shadowhunters kindasorta stuck with some book plots but season 2 is like WAAAAY out there.

I like the fact that Alec is becoming more tolerant of Clary, even willing to go to a sketchy ass warlock to help bring her mother back. Speaking of which, is Jocelyn dead for good because c’mon I want my Lukelyn marriage. Luke doesn’t deserve to be heartbroken like that.

Now that Clary’s angelic powers is making light (no pun intended) again I’m hoping we’re all that closer to finding the truth about Jace, also I hope Simon becomes a Daylighter too. Will Idris be coming up soon as well?

I looked ahead and apparently Sebastian will be introduced in episode 10. This should be interesting.

If you were in charge of Better in Black, wht would you change

I actually really like the lineup and can't complain. I got the 4 I most wanted and most of the others interest me greatly. Never thought of Sebastian/SQ and am SUPER into it.

But in a perfect world I'd switch out Jemma and Kierarktina for Malcolm/Annabel and Sophideon. Would consider swapping Lukelyn for Chenry too but am kinda into a Circle story and am not sure.
