EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY HOW it was supposed to be. All the guests had arrived on time and were clad in an array of pastel colors, the menu had been carefully crafted to cater to everyone's dietary restrictions, and the weather was forecasted to be warm and sunny throughout the entirety of the day. You should've been ecstatic, and yet you could hardly breathe.
You sat hunched over in a chair, a worn bucket positioned in front of you in case you needed to vomit. Tears welled in your eyes, on the verge of spilling down your cheeks and ruining your meticulously applied makeup. The prospect of falling ill just moments before walking down the aisle was a dreadful scenario, yet you couldn't compose yourself. You clutched your hand to your chest, your face contorting in a painful grimace.
"I can't do this..." you mumbled, more so to yourself than to the other women in the room, your bridesmaids, "I can't do it."
Your best friend, and maid of honor, had been at your side since the moment you started feeling sick. Her hand hadn't left your back, soothingly rubbing up and down as she barked orders at everyone. It was always like her to take charge and ensure things remained intact when you started to crumble, it was the reason you two worked so well together. It was the reason you could trust her to put you back together whilst you sat still and helpless.
"Somebody get Paige," she said aloud.
"No!" you cried, looking frantically at her, "No, no I don't want her to see me like this, she can't."
"Honey," she wore a look of sympathy as she spoke to you, "you gotta breathe. I'm gonna leave and she's gonna come in here, you're gonna be fine."
You could only nod in response. Morgan had always been adept at reassuring you, persuading you that everything was fine even when it felt like your world was unraveling. As the room gradually emptied, leaving just the two of you, you finally gave in to the tears, allowing the warm droplets to slowly trickle down your face.
Morgan held you tightly, her own eyes pricking with tears at the sight of her best friend in shambles.
You felt frustrated with yourself. Today was meant to be the happiest day of your life; after seven years of dreaming about it, you and Paige were finally getting married. It was the start of a new chapter you had eagerly anticipated. Yet here you were, on the verge of ruining everything because you couldn't manage your emotions. Why couldn't you just get a grip? Why couldn't you just focus on everything good that was to come instead of everything that could go wrong?
What if this doesn't work out?
What if she falls out of love?
What if she feels like you're trapping her?
Paige could hear your sobs through the door, and her own nerves rose at the mere sound of it. She hadn't been told why you were crying, all she knew was that you had refused to leave the room multiple times. Her hands shook as she grabbed the doorknob, twisting it open to reveal you and Morgan sitting in the corner. She could've sworn she felt her heart break in that moment, she had never seen you this pained.
Morgan stood to her feet, placing a kiss to your temple before approaching Paige at the door.
"What happened?" Paige whispered with furrowed brows, her eyes bouncing back and forth between Morgan and you.
"I have no clue," she shook her head, "she said she couldn't breathe and then she just broke down...I don't know what to do Paige." It was the first time in her entire life that Morgan had no idea how to calm you down, she was beginning to panic as well.
"I got it," Paige reassured her, watching her leave and then shutting the door after her.
As she carefully approached you, she could hear you mumbling frenziedly into your hands. Your bouquet was on the ground beside you, a combination of pink and white hibiscuses all tied together with a blush colored bow. The two of you had gone out to pick them yourselves, Paige wanted them to be just right for you. They were perfect, everything was perfect, why were you crying?
"'M'sorry," you sobbed, "'m'so sorry."
She comfortingly wrapped her arms around you, pulling you closer to her.
"What happened baby? Tell me what's wrong," she whispered.
"I can't do it," you repeated for the second time that day.
"Can't do what?" she frowned. She didn't want to jump to conclusions, to assume that by 'I can't do it' you meant marrying her. She couldn't lose you, she wouldn't.
"What if...if this is a mistake?" you panted, avoiding her eyes as she fought to catch yours. "What if later on you meet somebody else or you realize that i'm not enough for you?"
It was then that she realized this wasn't about you at all, it was about her. You were scared that she was getting cold feet, that she was having second thoughts, that her mind wasn't made up. She held you closer to her, kissing the top of your head as her own tears began to fall. She wondered if it had been something she had done to convince you that she wasn't all about you, that she wouldn't pick you in a room full of every other woman in the world.
She pulled away from you to get a better look at your face, holding either side of your face with her hands. "Stop talking like that, stop. That shit is never gonna happen and I know that for a fact. I can sit up here right now and tell you that falling out of love with you is several levels above impossible."
You blinked out more tears, staring silently at her as she professed her undying love for you.
"I am so in love with you it scares me. Every day that I wake up and can't be with you because i'm away for basketball or i'm out with some friends or anything else, all I do is think about you. And even when i'm with you, i'm still thinking about you. I can't even keep my hands off of you, like i'd need to be physically restrained for that to happen. You make me wanna do things i've never done before like jump out of a plane or swim in that little ass cage with the sharks around it because all I wanna do it impress you. I want you to stare at me with those big brown eyes and tell me how much you love me, and I wanna record your laugh so I can listen to it on repeat whenever you're not around.
I want you to force me to watch romcom movies that you've seen a thousand times and are only watching again because you want me to see them. I wanna come home really late at night and find you sleeping on the couch in my clothes because you missed me, and then in the morning I want you to tell me how you tried to stay up to see me when I came home. I'm planning to take you to all the countries that you've dreamed about visiting and just haven't had the time yet. I'm gonna be front row at your med school graduation with a huge poster of your face that blocks everyone behind me from seeing you. I wanna go back and forth with you over what to name our first kid, and I wanna combine all of our money so we can build an obnoxiously big house.
I swear to God, and I never swear to him so that's how you know I'm being so serious, I'll be damned if I spend my life with anyone other than you. Nobody else is worth my time. All I need is you baby, that's fucking it."
You and Paige were bawling together, both of your makeup needing desperately to be redone. It would push the wedding back for sure, but that didn't matter now, Paige loved you.
You pulled her in for a kiss, ignoring the way both of your tears were mixing together. She wouldn't touch anything other than your arms, not wanting to ruin your dress.
"I love you. I'm not leaving this spot until you understand that," Paige said firmly.
You nodded your head, swallowing the lump in your throat that had begun to shrink since the moment Paige stepped in here.
"I understand it."
"Do you still wanna do this?"
You shook your head, watching intently as Paige let out a sigh but nodded nonetheless.
"I'm kidding! Fuck, let's fucking do this!"
Paige playfully pushed your shoulder, narrowing her eyes as she stood up. "I'm gonna go grab that fancy makeup lady and tell her to get you right, and then i'm telling Morgan to work her magic and impress everybody with one of her weird talents to buy us time," she explained quickly, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yes! I'm fine, now go and fix the mess I made," you laughed.
She placed another quick peck on your lips, hurrying out of the room and leaving you alone with your thoughts again. This time however, they were a thousand times more collected than before. You laughed at yourself, you were silly to second guess Paige's love for you. She had never, not once, given you a reason to. You looked at yourself in the mirror, your face was a wreck and it'd take a miracle to hide the swelling of your eyes. But again, none of that mattered.
Paige loved you.

Do you think Riddle is so short because of what his mom made him eat ?
Like only making him get the perfect amount of calories like in his overblot backstory
Maybe it is because his mom is also short? Anyways she doesn't seem tall, also where is his dad.
Tumblr media
***PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT speaking as a dietician or a doctor; the information and interpretations presented here are based my own scientific knowledge and research, and apply ONLY to the analysis of a fictional character. This post is NOT meant to be taken as any sort of medical or dietary advice.*** Personally, I'm not of the belief that Riddle is short due to his controlled dietary intake. In very simple terms, calories can be thought of as the fuel you burn to get through activities. While a caloric deficit can contribute to stunting of growth, I don't think this applies to Riddle since he lives a relatively sedentary lifestyle (sitting and studying) and is provided an adequate amount of calories per meal. I want to take a quick moment to dispel the commonly held belief that Mrs. Rosehearts underfeeds Riddle. This seems to sprout from a misinterpretation of a line in 1-25 when she is serving Riddle a birthday meal. Here, she states the exact amount that Riddle must have in order to not overshoot 600 kilocalories. This is led some fans to think that Mrs. Rosehearts restricts Riddle to 600 kilocalories a day, which is just not true. From the dialogue, it is clear that Riddle is granted 600 kilocalories per meal. Assuming 3 meals a day, that means 1800 kilocalories per day, which is very close to the recommended 1745 kilocalories for the average 8-year old boy (not accounting for fluctuations from individual child to individual child). This is a perfectly normal intake, but is appears strange at first glance because very few parents actively calorie count what their child eats to this extent.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back to the original topic, nutrient intake also contributes to height. (Think of nutrients as the building blocks to a building called your body, and the calories as workers or the 'energy' that assembles the building/your body.) However, that doesn't mean that I think Riddle didn't get enough nutrients; it is possible to have low calorie meals which are nutritious. (For example, athletes may have to follow specialized diets in order to attune their bodies to whatever sport or activity they do. Similarly, Vil crafts a diet for the VDC/SDC squad in book 5 which cuts out junk food, is overall lower in calories, and still provides the group with the energy they need for practice.) Mrs. Rosehearts has dialogue where she describes the nutritional content of the meals she has prepared, which seem to be tailored for brain function. I'm going to assume that those meals also adequately provided for Riddle's other nutritional needs. I don't have reason to believe Mrs. Rosehearts, a doctor and mother who is detail-oriented and hellbent on her child's success, would knowingly and intentionally sabotage his health.
Tumblr media
It’s canon that maintaining physical wellbeing makes for a good mage (which is why NRC makes its students take P.E.). Additionally, eating well is said to be one way a mage can make a recovery from blot accumulation. If Riddle were eating poorly and/or was of poor health, that would only mean struggles with concentration and his magic suffering the consequences—and that’s very much counterintuitive to the success that Mrs. Rosehearts envisions for her son.
You don’t need an abundance of calories or nutrients for growth and development. The excess will get stored as adipose tissue/fat or (depending on the nutrient) exit the body as waste. It’s important for a child to be fed well in order to grow properly, but generally if they aren’t malnourished (ie getting less than what they need) then they wouldn’t be stunted.
By in large, genetics is the major deciding factor in height. I believe current studies suggest as much as 60-80% of one's height is predetermined by DNA sequences (although those DNA sequences can be altered by the environment and outside other factors). It could very well be that Riddle is just short because his ancestors had the "short" gene. Looking back at manga images of Riddle's mom from the manga, she doesn't seem that short to me. Even when Mrs. Clover is bowing her head to her, both moms appear to be about the same height (if Mrs. Clover were standing). Maybe Mrs. Clover is a little taller (it's hard to say just staring at the image), but not by a lot. If I had to guess, they seem to be about average height for women. That doesn't mean anything in terms of genetics though, you could be any height and still carry the "short" gene to pass onto your children (the shortness trait just isn't always expressed outwardly.)
Tumblr media
If I had to guess, I’d say Riddle is just “naturally” short or drew a bad lot in terms of genetics (since his height seems to be a sore spot for him). He’s about that age where most men will stop growing too (although some do grow well into their late teens and even early twenties).
Regarding Mr. Rosehearts, we haven't seen him yet but he's definitely mentioned a few times! He is said to be a medical mage like his wife and is implied to not have a happy marriage with her (according to Riddle). That's about all we know of him now. Some parental figures just get less focus than the other, and that’s the case for Mr. Rosehearts as well as many others (Mrs. Trappola, Mr. Spade, Mrs. Asim, etc.).
It’s possible that the short gene came from Mr. Rosehearts, but we don’t know for sure since we’ve never gotten so much as a silhouette for him. Again though, he could be tall or average but have an unexpressed short gene. I believe many fans headcanon him as short though, as the King of Hearts in the source material is smaller and meeker than his wifez

i have a handful of anonymous asks in my inbox right now asking about harm reduction as applied to eating disorders that their loved ones are experiencing. i'm not answering these individually, both because it would get repetitive and because i don't know your loved ones and can't give them personal advice, but i did want to say a few general things on this topic.
the basic principles of harm reduction are the same in regards to EDs as anything else. the point here is not to force a person to stop doing something dangerous (this is impossible) or even to pressure them to stop (this also doesn't work, and will often have the effect of making you into a person they don't feel safe around and can't turn to for help, thus actually decreasing their access to support and resources). instead, the goal of harm reduction generally is to give people the knowledge and resources they need to engage in risky behaviours as safely as possible. the reasons people do things that are physically or socially harmful to them vary, obviously, but in general these behaviours are serving some purpose in the person's life, like providing emotional 'blunting' they need to deal with otherwise intolerable circumstances, or meeting a physical need for specific substances. harm reduction meets people where they are, beginning with the premise that they deserve basic respect, dignity, and self-determination, whether or not they continue to engage in behaviours that may be endangering them.
some baseline harm reduction strategies for EDs could include:
take necessary safety precautions if (over)exercise is a feature of the disorder, or if you are at risk for fainting; ideally, have someone around (or reachable by phone) who can help in case of injury
do your best to compensate for any micronutrient deficiencies resulting from food restriction; dietary supplementation may be necessary
know if any substances/pharmaceuticals you may use (recreationally or not) can affect you more strongly, faster, or more dangerously on an empty stomach; here, harm reduction for EDs will overlap with harm reduction for drug use
know the signs of electrolyte imbalance and resultant cardiac events, particularly in EDs involving purging by laxative use or self-induced vomiting; keep a stockpile of items like sports drinks/gels that can rapidly replenish electrolytes; know where to seek emergency medical treatment and how to recognise when it may be vitally necessary
monitor long-term health risks, like bone density loss, tooth enamel damage, hyperglycaemia (in cases of diabulimia), &c. note that both this step and the above require finding medical practitioners who will treat patients non-judgmentally and without threat of institutionalisation
....and so forth.
harm reduction plans are highly individualised: they depend on the person's own goals and desires. a harm reduction plan might include strategies for engaging in ED behaviours less frequently or intensely, and may even include a long-term goal of recovery. however, harm reduction has not 'failed' if the person doesn't want to, or can't, reduce frequency or severity of behaviours right now or ever. ED harm reduction that does include goals for reducing behaviours, without necessarily trying to eliminate them entirely, might include strategies like:
purge less frequently; avoid or reduce flushing and chew/spit
reduce food restriction by raising calorie limits, not counting calories at all, eating certain 'fear foods', &c
identify triggers for restriction, binging/purging, &c; try to avoid those triggers (& possibly enlist assistance doing this)
ask someone trusted to eat with you if this would help you, for example, become more comfortable with eating non-restrictively, and turn eating into a social connection rather than a stressful event
consume a sufficient amount of food regularly and consistently <- this is the bedrock of all recovery work
again, though, the particular strategies in a person's harm reduction plan will depend on what they want to implement and are capable of doing right now. a person who's not ready for any step that asks them to engage in fewer behaviours, or to engage in behaviours less frequently, can still benefit from a harm reduction approach if they're interested. this is a conversation that should always be approached non-judgmentally and with the understanding that any harm reduction plan depends on the person's own capacities and goals. harm reduction is not about telling someone else what would be 'best' for them in an 'ideal' world. it's about meeting them where they are right now.
something important to note about EDs is that efforts to restrict food and food groups and to shrink body size are considered extremely common and 'normal' in much of the contemporary popular culture, and are frequently encouraged and prescribed by medical practitioners. this means that even when you are worried about someone with a self-endangering ED, there is often a considerable risk that, in trying to help them, you might still be promoting or acceding to the same fatphobic logic that can fuel the ED. if you, for instance, think that pursuing intentional weight loss is generally benign or healthy; if you have ideas about what size a person's body 'should' be based on things like actuarial charts; if you think that some foods are universally 'bad' and need to be restricted or eliminated; if you think that food should be 'earned' or compensated for by physical activity—stop, do not pass go, and do not try to dispense any kind of advice, harm reduction or otherwise, to someone struggling with an ED. you are not capable of being a resource here unless and until you are committed to a politics of fat liberation, disability rights, mad liberation, and anti-racism. you are not reducing harm if you are contributing to further entrenching the cultural beliefs and economic mechanisms of fatphobia and body fascism that the ED itself thrives on.
(**i am not saying that all EDs start or end with the desire to be thin as articulated through white supremacist body ideals, but it is a very common feature at this moment in history, and having these ideas reinforced, including through the lens of medical fatphobia, can certainly contribute to or worsen already-present behaviours and thought patterns where EDs are concerned.)
harm reduction also means giving a person the knowledge they need to evaluate their own goals and needs. in regards to EDs specifically, lots of public health communication is confounded by industry-funded diet and 'obesity' research that prescribes food restriction, compensatory exercise, and other recognisably 'eating disordered' behaviours, especially to fat people. many people with EDs, and their loved ones, may not even realise how many misconceptions they have learned about body size, nutrition, and the health risks of EDs. some basic places to start learning about these things from a weight-neutral / fat-liberationist angle that i would suggest include: christy harrison's podcast 'food psych' (her book is also decent but treads a lot of the same ground); gwyneth olwyn's work; lindo bacon and lucy aphramor's papers on 'health at every size'; jennifer gaudiani's book 'sick enough', which is a good starter resource on the medical effects of EDs. note that none of these resources are working within an explicitly harm reductionist framework, and imo make some missteps in this arena! but they still contain insights and information that can be useful to those who are interested in harm reduction, and to those with EDs generally.
harm reduction can be a tool to recovery, or a step on that road; it can also be an alternative for people who are not ready to seek recovery, and who may never be ready. the reality is that you cannot force someone to stop engaging in behaviours they rely on to live, whether drug use, EDs, or anything else. harm reduction proceeds from this place and from a fundamental commitment to respect for people who are generally already suffering. when approaching a loved one, you may or may not be able to initiate a conversation in which you express, eg, that you are worried about them hurting themselves, and would like to offer whatever emotional or material resources you can to help. but you have to go into any such interaction understanding that they may very well already know all of the risks of what they're doing, and may have other reasons they can't or don't want to stop. if you're trying to impose your will on them---by force, pressure, or coercion---you're not doing harm reduction, and you're most likely alienating them and turning yourself into a person they don't feel safe around where these behaviours are concerned.

hey there, big fan of your posts on veganism (i’m not being ironic i genuinely am!)! would you say however that it’s fair to say that IF you have the capacity and ability to do so, you should strive to at least reduce the amount of meat/fish/dairy/etc you consume? with how much the fishing industry for example pollutes and kills and destroys biodiversity etc etc i personally think it’s a bit :// to still support the (intensive, consumerist, not-indigenous practice) industry. obviously not including cultural regional practices + culling of invasive etc etc. i hope this message doesn’t sound mean or rude or anything, god knows you get too many of those on the regular
Thank you! And yeh I will literally never (intentionally) go aggro on someone who is acting in good faith you don't gotta worry.
My problem with the idea of "If you can, reduce" is that I absolutely agree. I think that if you are able to, you should aim to shop local and eat less red meat constantly. But I personally have not really met someone who this would truly, genuinely apply to.
This is because the ability to have that level of fine control over your diet is one which automatically requires you to have an abundance of privilege in nearly every conceivable way. Less harm and working towards better solutions must be the goal, but who among us on average can actually afford these dietary restrictions, be it health or financial?
I guess what I'm trying to get at is, like so many other things--in the realpolitik of dietary "activism", the people who are already inclined to seek to end consumerism are in the least likely position to be able to do so effectively. The systems we live under make it so that if you feel passionate about, for example, ending inhumane treatment of animals in factory farms, you are likely directly negatively effected by this system, and you are almost certainly the kind of person who has to pay out to those farms no matter what you believe.
I'm unwilling to be alright with assigning moral judgement values to poor people who need to eat and keep the lights on in their homes. The nature of this discussion is one which will always end up treating poor people like dogshit. This is still working under the same currently fallacious principles of veganism, just more moderate. But the fact of the matter is that any food-based activism which relies on choosing to eat certain ways will always villify poor people and set its movement against us because we cannot afford to choose this sort of activism.

౨ৎ  note ; Block me instead of reporting me please, these are based off of my own experiences! ~
 ✿ ⠀Chapter 1 ; Symptoms
Osteopenia (Thinning of the bones): Poor nutrition, excessive exercise, and/or purging (such as by vomiting or laxative abuse) can cause an unhealthy, low body weight When this happens, less weight bears on your bones. This can lead to bone loss and potential loss of muscle that supports and strengthens your bones. So… How do you deal with it? Vitamin and mineral supplements: You might need over-the-counter or prescription calcium or vitamin D supplements. try doing weight-bearing and resistance exercises 3 or 4 days a week. Weight-bearing exercises focus on carrying the weight of your body against gravity. Walking is a great weight-bearing activity, as are running, dancing, aerobics, hiking and tennis, but remember don’t over do it, you can’t be skinny when you’re dead.
Anemia and muscle wasting and weakness: Reduced blood flow: Anemia can limit the delivery of nutrients to muscles and joints, increasing stiffness. Increased lactic acid: Muscles deprived of oxygen produce more lactic acid, leading to cramps. Weakened muscles: Over time, anemia can weaken muscles. This makes them more susceptible to pain and injury. What to do against it? eat iron-rich foods, including lean red meats, fish and poultry, legumes (e.g. lentils and beans), fortified cereals and dark green leafy vegetables; eat foods rich in vitamin C (such as fruits and vegetables) which help the body absorb iron, don’t forget to do sport, and eat when you’re hungry.
Brittle hair and nails: Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, helps the body convert food into energy. A deficiency in biotin is somewhat rare, but when it occurs, brittle, thinning, or splitting hair and nails are some of the most noticeable symptoms. So here’s what to do against it! Eat a diet rich in nutrients such as vitamins A and C, zinc, and biotin. Stay hydrated; water can help strengthen your hair and keep it from drying out. Keep your nails short to minimize nail surface area, where water and chemicals can be absorbed. Use a fine emery board to file your nails. Don't pick or bite your nails or cuticles. Buff your nails in the same direction as the nail grows. Consider applying a nail hardener to help strengthen nails. Switch to a shampoo and conditioner designed for damage control. Don't skip conditioner. Choose hair styling products made with hydrating ingredients.
Dry and yellowish skin: Carotenemia may be related to restricted dietary habits, hyperlipidemia, or a deficiency in the conversion of carotene into vitamin A by the liver. So here’s what helps! Moisturize. Apply moisturizer several times a day, especially when your skin feels dry and after handwashing or bathing, while your skin is still moist. Vitamin C, D, E and anti-inflammatory! vitamin B12 deficiency can cause yellowish skin so make sure to include it in your diet.
Lanugo (Growth of fine hair all over the body): with anorexia often lack important nutrients that help keep the body insulated and warm, so as a response lanugo develops to act as a protective layer. Here’s what you can eat to get your nutrients! Green, leafy vegetables, Orange and red produce, Nuts and seeds, beans, Whole grains, Egg yolks.
Low blood pressure: Low blood pressure occurs when blood pressure is much lower than normal. This means the heart, brain, and other parts of the body may not get enough blood. Normal blood pressure is mostly between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg.
Here are the risks of an eating disorder.
Organ failure , Brain damage , Hair loss , severe constipation , slowed breathing and pulse

no. 3 - a cosmic twist masterlist
Tumblr media
the cold metallic feel of the cabin door handle is familiar, in a distant kind of way. like a third cousin who you see every five years, familiar and yet unknown to you. even so, you twist the handle slowly, wondering what you'd find on the other side. bunk beds that have the same musty scent as they did years ago, or soft mattresses that are newly bought for the year.
upon finally opening the door, you can see just how different mr. kurosu made the cabins. the bunk beds have considerably thicker mattresses, spiders no where to be found. even little sockets are in the walls like some kind of hotel experience. all in all, it's leaning a little far on unfamiliar for you, chills running up your arms.
as you set down your bag on one of the top bunks, you can really see just how much care he's put into the updates. like the wood is severely updated, no longer splintering in certain spots. however, some kids have already etched their initials into the wood, just like you did. the sharp lines and large letters really iterate the feeling of camp lockheart. the one you knew.
you smile to yourself upon seeing the small details, finger running along the initials as you continue looking around the room. although, this inspection doesn't seem to last long as someone shows up outside your cabin door. the knock is softer than normal, a specific rhythm playing.
you let out a sigh and open the door.. only to find osamu on the other side. truthfully, it had been forever since you'd seen him. and even now, with the baseball cap he dons, he looks eerily similar to atsumu. for a moment, part of you wondered if it was atsumu, hoping that he'd let up the act and apologize. however, the silver tuft of hair escaping his hat brought you back to reality.
"hey, long time no see..." osamu tries to give you a quick smile, "we're having karaage as the main dish but i remember you had some food sensitivities, so there are other options. just telling everyone who may not be able to eat it."
internally, as soon as the words 'i remember' leave his lips, you want to scream. because for some reason, osamu miya, a man you barely knew, could remember your dietary restrictions. yet atsumu had messed with you every summer at camp and he suddenly forgets who you are. "uh- thanks miya. i really appreciate you and the other cooks taking care of dietary matters. which by the way, i can't wait to taste your cooking," you give him a smile, heel lightly tapping the ground.
"you can just call me osamu, easier when it comes to siblings.. speaking of which, i also have an itinerary for more specific events. as you and atsumu are caring for the older campers, you'll be having most of your events together. like tomorrow being a scary bonfire night," osamu dishes through the binder he was holding, grabbing out a piece of paper and handing it over to you.
you quickly search over the whole page, looking at every time that had both yours and atsumu's names. which seems to be most of them, seemingly cursing you into a week of uncomfortable situations, "thanks.. again osamu. i'm sure the kids will love it. well, i believe i need to get down to the front of the camp for seeing them in, but it was nice to see you again."
"you too, i'm sure you guys will have lots of fun this summer," osamu gives you a little nod, turning around to find the next person he needed to talk to.
a sigh escapes you as he walks away, realizing that when you applied for this camp, it wasn't necessarily for a hang out with your mortal enemy. however, the schedule that mr. kurosu set up doesn’t give you much time to fully grasp the sheer amount you’ll be seeing him.
instead, you take in a deep breath and close the door to your cabin, walking down the path to meet your campers. the wooded areas still seem so beautiful. the way it helps separate the sections while still making sure that everyone can see each other. most of the understory is gone to help achieve this look, a few bits of moss and flowers still there.
as you make your way further down the path, you can see every cabin that you loved growing up in. each cabin, although similar on the outside, all had their own unique parts on the inside. however, atsumu’s was always right by yours, chucking rocks at the window. another thing that atsumu seemed to have ruined for you, something in him always wanting to mess with you-
  “woah, sorry there!”
someone bumps into you, his voice all too familiar, “i was checking the schedule and wasn’t looking..”
his voice trails off as he looks over at you, lips closed into a thin line. of course, even walking down a path will be another cosmic force will bring the two of you together.

what do thrones eat? the big ones look like they take a lot of feeding. do the bird body ones eat bird food?
Thrones do, in fact, eat a lot. It depends a lot on their bodies, but most are largely omnivorous. Since being able to stomach a greater variety of foods means more things are then available to stomach. Throne bodies are also largely cosmetic, so they might not need to eat like the animal they most closely resemble. The Thrones of Sevab House have serpentine bodies, but don't eat all that differently than the beast-footed Thrones. The body-shape they have does usually come with practical concerns that influence things like diet, though. The beast-footed houses, take Dedēsne House as a good example, eat more wild game than the serpentine Thrones of Sevab House, because there's more of a culture of nobles going on hunts there, while Sevab's Thrones are more expected to drape themselves elegantly about and have clever things to say. They still might be designed with dietary preferences for cultural reasons, i.e., a house that follows a branch of religion that practices vegetarianism not being capable of eating anything other than plants - which is also in line with the fact that Thrones are held by their communities to higher standards of religious conformity, they are Holy Beasts after all. This mostly applies to Thrones with ruminant-like bodies, where the herbivory is symbolically significant. This would also come with the expected Ruminant Issues, though, so that's a thing.
The Lujnola Thrones are an interesting case, however, because their bodies are designed to be more practical than average, and some of the restrictions of real birds also extend to them. You won't find any adapted to eat leaves (no stinky hoatzin Thrones alas). The Lujnola Thrones eat fruit more than anything else. It makes up probably 70 or 80% of their diets, with some meat thrown in. The meat is quite varied, though. They do hunt and especially trap wild game, but like to eat animals - lizards, turtles, frogs, insects, and smaller mammals like rodents and tiny forest deer. They do have some livestock, big meaty snails, and certain woodboring insects with large grubs are generally popular in the eastern empire. The most unique livestock Lujnola has is a species of arboreal, golden-furred rodent that's often eaten on special occasions. There are quite a lot of spiritual cleanliness practices around hunting and the use of weapons specifically, which is actually a bit of a point of prejudice the Throne-Lords of the region have against their non Throne subjects, who hunt game like deer, boars, and forest cattle. None of the Thrones ever hunt large game, and they don't eat bird meat out of principle, at least not in Lujnola Province, traveling Thrones of the house wouldn't always turn bird meat down, fowl just arent hunted or kept as livestock back home. That isn't because "it's cannibalism", they just have a huge respect and reverence for birds in general. They do like eggs, though. A lot of rituals and "magical" practices involve eating bird eggs, and different species of bird are said to embue their eggs with different properties - cleverness from a Jay, bravery from a hornbill, love from a parrot, etc.
-
Also, because Throne bodies are so large, the mouth of their "head"/human portion is not adequate to feed them, which is why most Thrones have secondary, more proportionate mouths. Have an old doodle of a guy having a snack.

Summer Camp Guidelines
Hello staff and campers! It is a beautiful day to be welcoming so many visitors to the island, and I hope you all enjoy your stay here. There are a few things to keep in mind over the next two weeks:
Foster Island has a tropical climate, meaning that the temperature and humidity will be very high. Remember to keep yourself and your team hydrated, apply sunscreen regularly, and take breaks indoors or in the shade as needed. Bring NeverMeltIce for your ice-type and other cold climate dwelling partners.
The caves and sandbar are off limits, except by guided tour with a staff member for your own safety. Rising tides flood the lower cave levels and swallow the sandbar every day. Please do not let your recklessness ruin everyone else's time.
There is a loose curfew of 11 pm. All guests should be indoors, or settled into a campsite, by this time to avoid late night accidents. This allows our staff to take necessary breaks and be rested to help you during the day.
Food is served in the cafeteria from 6am to 11pm, with breakfast and dinner services from 7-9am and 6-8pm respectively. If you have allergies or other dietary restrictions, simply ask a staff member! If you happen to miss the open hours of the cafeteria all together, there are vending machines and microwaves in the common rooms of the main and housing buildings, and all fruit in the orchard and gardens are free to harvest and enjoy.
Worried about getting around the terrain? Ask about our available ride Pokémon and other mobility aids! All elevators, hallways, and rooms are designed to be accessible, however some of the outdoor features may be difficult for those with mobility issues, which is what our ride Pokémon and carts are available for.
Forgot something, or need other assistance? Visit the welcome center and let a staff member know. We will do everything we can to help you have a safe and enjoyable stay.
With your participation, we can make this week safe and fun for everyone! Thank you all for your cooperation!

OKAY! I admit that YouTube has been addicting with the plethora of reptile videos!
It started with research for certain details of cute reptile facts (you know why). I came upon the concept of weird reptile pets and then ended up 'aw'ing over an Emotional Support Alligator an old man has bonded with him in Cheetos and chicken legs. It's so wholesome!
And then I was searching the depths of the chocolate and alligator debate.
Like, there is a long-standing argument of whether or not alligators can consume chocolate safely, and the debate is topsy turvy with cases of other alligators/crocodiles who have lived off chocolate-containing foods and SURVIVED, but that tells me nothing about immediate or long-term effects!
Like, I know they literally can eat anything from how I've seen some go after car tires (don't ask), but this whole thing has been setting off my brain for possibilities in how this applies to Bowser (and Koopas in general).
They're reptile-ish turtle-dragon-things that seem to have some gator-croc features. SO-
Let's talk about dietary restrictions, and how that can translate to the split of palates between Bowser and Luigi!
Canonically, Bowser is omnivorous, with the same tastes as humans if the cookies, meat, and other various foodstuffs seen in-game and official art are to be believed.
But otherwise? There isn't any info that would dispute the need to eat rocks like a chicken to grind food in a special organ (for Bowser to have an excuse for why he eats otherwise questionable objects in "Bowser's Inside Story"). I would LOVE to see Luigi be utterly flummoxed by the sight of Bowser taking bites out of boulders or casually shoveling in gravel!
There isn't a direct dispute for Bowser to not also include insects to that diet, like a lot of small lizards do! People also eat insects (usually crickets, spiders, and the rare scorpions), but I assume that either Luigi would be too squeamish to watch any Koopa eat it, or maybe make the effort to accept it (like, using Cricket Flour for baking)!
There is no fact that goes against Bowser actually liking raw/scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs, which he explicitly states to hate in "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door"! Heck, it could be like Movie!Mario's thing with mushrooms, but in a way where Luigi will thoughtfully accommodate him for family-cooked meals!
Anyone could also fit in some restrictions for Luigi! Like, for sickfic/angst reasons, maybe an allergy that shows up when he does his best to eat 'normally' at first but has it backfire (as things do for him)! And Bowser could encourage him (yell at him with love) to ask for alternative food because gosh dang it Luigi you are now bedridden-!
Anyone could also give the Koopa's a high metabolism, so calorie-packed meals are the norm and the constant craving of a lot of food can add to some kitchen bonding with high-calorie meals! And the fact that some Italian dishes (i.e. not all) are considered calorie dense can be a thing to add to the roster of meals that don't overload the Koopa palette!
Just- a lot of things to do with food! In a fluffy way!

it drives me insane that disabled people are expected to be able to prepare for the additional accommodations they need to have The Public be accessible and to also do it without complaint. even if being disabled specifically makes all of it harder to prepare for.
like oh, you went to a venue, event, or attraction and expected them to carry food that meets your dietary restrictions? you should know that it's hard to get gluten-free/dairy-free/other foods. you should have prepared someone to eat and bring with you in advance. but you struggled to wake up and manage to get out of bed in time in the morning? should have prepared yesterday then. like you don't know that only specific places will even carry the foods or ingredients that meet your dietary needs (at extra cost of course) and that might mean extra planning, shopping at a location far from home, being unable to use just whatever is on hand, and so on and so forth. when you follow the chain of actions required to simply leave the house on a day out backwards, there's at least three other tasks that need to be done.
and this applies to other things like, needing a disabled bathroom with adult changing table and hoist (i have found exactly one of these in public in all the disabled bathrooms i've been in). or needing guaranteed access to a bathroom at all. like you can control that the public bathrooms are closed early on sundays and that the people you want to meet can only meet on sundays.
whatever the additional need is, it is expected that because you as a disabled person are aware of the need, you were already given the opportunity to fix the problem. yknow. with your endless resources, guaranteed help, infinite time, money, and energy. everything characteristic of being disabled (sarcasm).

Unhoused Solidarity In Action
This is a non-exhaustive list of resources you might have access to, or know of, that can be used to aid unhoused community members directly. Many of these focus on direct mutual aid as individuals but can be helpful to consider when in community organizing settings. - What do you (or someone you know) have access to, that you can provide to the community? - Can they be accessed, used, or provided: regularly, occasionally, only in emergencies, weekly, daily, sporadically, consistently, etc.? - Consider seasonal needs (winter coats don’t help us when it’s 90 degrees out!) - Remember to practice active, informed consent with individuals and ask if these would be helpful! Don’t take it personally if your offer isn’t helpful to someone, it might help someone else. - These should be realistic and not compromise your safety or well-being. Remember to prioritize safety over comfort.
Housing
- Consider your relationship with this person (generally, don’t offer complete strangers into your home)
- Location matters a lot. Unhoused people often need to be near “hubs”/cities, close to resources and systems of care.
- Some people can’t live in hotels, couch surf, or any of these options without losing their housing vouchers, and in some cases health insurance or other assistance programs. Legal definitions of homelessness (used by voucher programs) usually don’t include people living in hotels/motels, or couch surfing (including most of these options). Check with the individual to see if this might be helpful.
Extra bedrooms
Campers, trailers
Couches
Apartments
Land/yards to camp on, park at, etc.
Donate funds or points for a hotel room
Shelters
Floor space
Safe parking lots to sleep in your car in (sleeping in your car is considered legal homelessness in most places)
Time
- Emotional capacity and minimizing the risk of burnout are important here especially
Do outreach with a community org
File for grants
Provide education materials
Share knowledge regarding resources
Emotional support - build genuine connections with your local unhoused neighbors
Reach out to companies for donations
Create or add to lists of resources, open bathrooms, etc.
Transportation
- One of the biggest barriers to accessing existing resources is transportation (also mailing addresses, internet access, and active phone service)
Personal car, ride-sharing/carpooling
Bus tickets/passes
Old/not frequently used bikes
Taxi services/vouchers
Uber/Lift gift cards
Carpooling
Coordinate rides for people
Food
- A lot of unhoused people prefer “comfort foods” to “health foods” - Ask about dietary restrictions, the cooking ability of the unhoused person, the cooking equipment, etc. - Soft foods are frequently more accessible to us as dental issues are very common - 100$ in fast food is significantly less than 100$ in homemade food
Can cook hot meals
Can pay for meals
Knows someone (person, business) who can supply food
Inviting people over for a meal
Gifting food (be sure to be considerate of dietary restrictions, cooking ability, equipment needed to cook, etc.)
Have a community dunkin gift card
Make or add to a fruit tree map (fallingfruit.org, community gardens, federal university campuses)
Money
- Money should be freely given, with no strings attached - Ask what form works best for them— cash apps/virtual, physical cash, gift cards, quarters, etc.
It is best to provide cash donations directly to impacted individuals (or organizations) with no strings attached
Provide relevant, local chain store gift cards (Grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants)
Coordinate fundraisers
Apply for grants
Supplies
- Ask individuals what they need most!
Purchase and donate supplies directly to individuals or organizations
Reach out to businesses
Donate old phones or computers
Add someone to your family phone plan
Donate professional clothes for interviews
Donate an outfit you would actually wear
Talents, Trades, Skills
Your hobbies might be helpful! Crochet is extremely trendy right now (easy to learn, you could make hats/scarves for community members)!
Professional ties/experience Examples: You’re a cosmetologist who can do free haircuts for an hour each week, or you’re a graphic designer who can create a website for an organization for free, or you’re a nurse who can provide wound care to encampments
Community gardens
Connect with and partner with non-profits or community-based organizations in your area (or help start one if there’s none!)
Allow people to use you as a reference for job interviews
Bathrooms
- Not just toilets, but showers and mirrors are important too
Ask businesses to pledge to have open, public, accessible, and free restrooms
Your personal restroom
Make a list of local public restrooms
Free gym memberships or add someone to a gym plan
Services
- In order to access most services, you need most, if not all, of the following: transportation, identification, important paperwork, printing/faxing access, mailing addresses, internet access, active phone service, free time during business hours, and emotional and mental ability (and capacity) to complete everything required (forms, applications, phone calls, interviews, annual reviews, verifications) in a timely manner (usually on a strict deadline)
Case management experience you can volunteer
Peer support for service navigation (great option for people with prior lived experience)
Advocacy within services
Offer to provide a P.O. box or use your address to receive mail
Housing skills
Allow someone to use your library card for books, computers, the internet, etc. (most libraries won’t allow unhoused people to get a library card)
Volunteer at a shelter
Allow someone to use your home wifi, printer, phone number, mailbox, email, etc.
Fundraising
- If you can’t donate your own personal funds, fundraising is a great way to help out
Community mutual aid asks (in person or online)
Art walks
Skate competition
Concerts
Tip jar
Gift basket raffle
Clothing and food drive
Game tourney
Live streams
Start a GoFundMe for individuals/orgs
I strongly encourage you to look over the matching slides I created for this workshop: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1VDngImsMByUFmKX611zAJ43a0UcYIfMBxrbh_g1IJvc/edit
As a disclaimer: I have been homeless/unhoused for over half of my life. My experiences of homelessness have included while being a infant, toddler, young child, preteen, teenager, and young adult. I am 24 years old. My most recent experience of being unhoused was last year, and I am currently precariously housed (meaning: at high risk of losing housing again). My experiences of homelessness have included sleeping outside in a tent, sleeping on park benches and under freeways, walking around all night to avoid hypothermia and freezing to death (something that has happened to several of my friends), couch surfing, sleeping in cars, squatting, sleeping in motels, living in a shelter, and institutionalized. I have been homeless with family a few times during early childhood and again when I was 15. All of my other experiences of homelessness have been on my own starting at age 9 or 10, and the last time I lived with a parent I was 16. I have been homeless in both rural and urban areas. I have been homeless in New England/Northeast United States as well as the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to this, I have many contributing factors to my experience, including being disabled, a person of color, trans, queer, a survivor of child abuse and CSA, being trafficked, and a drug user and a SWer, amongst other marginalized experiences.
That being said: my experience of being unhoused/homeless is not the universal experience. While I know many people of all different demographics who I’ve met on the streets, I cannot speak to every single person’s experiences. I especially cannot speak to experiences outside of the United States, aside from what I hear secondhand.
This is meant to serve as a general guide to accompany a workshop I created, and might not be helpful for everyone. If it’s not helpful, I hope it inspires others to offer creative solutions. I’m always working on expanding this list. Thank you for reading.

If I could eat healthier and exercise more, I fucking would
An autistic rant about health/wellness advice
I am so sick and fucking tired of these health experts telling me to just exercise and eat healthier. I know. I am aware. Don’t you think that if it was accessible to me that I would fucking do it? I am not the poor ignorant lamb desperately in need of a wise shepherd to lead me to greener, safer pastures. I know Americans are eating ourselves to death. I know the food I eat is processed. I know I don’t exercise enough. I fucking know.
In fact I know all about macro and micro nutrients and what a balanced meal looks like and complete proteins versus incomplete and the important of eating organic because it has the most nutrients and on and on and on.
And I know that movement is essential to live. I even know multiple different ways to structure workouts for different outcomes. Muscle gain, cardio training, targeting specific muscle groups, warm ups and cool downs. I know ways to incorporate movement into my day that aren’t just going to the gym. I know there are all kinds of classes for every kind of workout or activity I can imagine. I know all of it.
My problem is not ignorance and I’m so fucking sick of so much of the current popular health rhetoric acting like we’re all just too stupid to understand. Yes, information suppression about food and exercise is a huge problem.
And also.
Can we stop acting like these are individual choices?
I cannot Girlboss my way out of this shit.
I have sensory issues, dietary restrictions, specific textural and taste needs, a highly dopamine-driven brain, and poor executive functioning without medication or other extreme intervention.
I cannot simply just start eating grilled chicken salads and chia pudding. I eat what I eat because it’s accessible to me. Because I can get it down my throat without gagging or crying. Because it’s the only consistently appetizing thing. Because it’s safe and predictable.
I’m tired of this nihilistic, individualist ass approach. I’m tired of every health expert telling me that I’m killing myself with what I eat. I might as well just beat them to the punch and off myself now because apparently non-dairy milk is too processed too but I’m fucking lactose intolerant and cannot stand the taste/smell of dairy.
Like what is the fucking point of living if the only way that’s successful for me right now with my disabilities is apparently super evil and bad? What is the fucking point of trying if most of the “good foods” are repulsive to me?
We are in eating disorder territory.
I am so tired of this black and white all or nothing rhetoric. You know what’s worse than eating processed food? Not eating at all! Or eating very little and then purging because of the guilt you feel about the horrible evil bad food you DID manage to choke down!
I know most of these books and workshops and Ted talks aren’t written with disability in mind and you’re supposed to take the information with a grain of salt but 1) autistic black and white thinking makes that extremely hard to do in practice 2) the language used plus adhd rejection sensitive dysphoria makes it so I feel like I’M wrong and bad and evil for living like this and 3) it’s just so tiring to never be considered in health spaces and for all these gurus to make broad sweeping statements that isolate and shame disabled people
Just like every other part of the disabled experience I have just about fucking had it with people telling me things, assuming I’m not disabled or assuming that I can automatically filter it through my disability brain to understand how it applies to me. Give me information for better health that is accessible to me!!! Without shaming me for things I cannot fucking control because I have all these developmental disorders!!! And OBVIOUSLY this is exponentially more difficult for people with chronic physical illnesses and higher support needs who have even more restrictions than me. If you have a feeding tube, I really doubt that grass-fed free range meat is accessible for you. There’s just a certain point where constant “awareness” about an issue just becomes harmful because I can do fuck all about it. Yes I have a certain amount of agency and power but girl it’s a disability for a reason and I can’t just personal choice feminism my way out of it. Every time I see this health stuff I’m reminded of my limitations and how egregiously unhealthy I am and how I’m gonna end up in an early grave and all this and that and how I just have to CHOOSE to live healthier. As if I have all that many choices here. I am already grabbing life by the horns but this metaphorical bull wants me dead.

The divine Order of Humanity is a religion that celebrates and respects all lifeforms.
We firmly believe that the needs of the many outweigh the needs or wants of the few or one.
This is not a religion that seeks to put itself above any other. Nor shall the order proselytize or try to convince others that they must join.
Tumblr media
Complex logo design showing the earth, sun, and moon, revolving around around several colors, with magenta, yellow, and cyan in the centre.
Tumblr media
Simplified logo with three circles to represent the earth, sun, and moon.
The order has an open and standing invitation to anyone who wishes to learn more or visit a meeting.
Members are encouraged to help others if they are able to do so, with kindness and respect to their fellow humans.
There are no requirements or stipulations to receiving aid. Everyone, regardless of their circumstances, is entitled to partake in the equal sharing of resources and services.
Human Rights are a pinnacle of our beliefs. As resources and means to do so exist, every person is entitled to housing, healthcare, food/drink, transportation, and education. All of the highest quality as allowed by available resources and labor.
The second pinnacle is pacifism. War is a practice that is in direct opposition to the order of humanity. It is an immature and barbaric practice that is largely used to conquer and subjugate other populations.
Conflict should be settled peacefully, and all parties should come to an understanding that benefits all.
On individual basis, a person is perfectly within their rights to use violence as a last resort in self defense. However, this is explicitly on the basis of interpersonal conflict and should never be broadly applied to any group or population. Individuals are encouraged to seek non-violent means of coming to a fair and equal resolution.
All workers own their own labor. It is their bodies that do the work and thus they are the ones who decide for their individual selves the rules of their work. No person shall be held in a job that harms them or distresses them.
Bodily and mental autonomy is a human right. From birth, all humans are their own person with their own thoughts and feelings. They are entitled to live a life free from coercion, manipulation, violence, and suffering.
Every person has the right to do as they please, so long as they do not harm anyone else.
Likewise, slavery or indentured servitude is considered an act of violence and in violation to the bodily autonomy of the person.
No one person is above or below another. All people are in equal standing. Respect for for your fellow humans is a must.
Children should be highly revered and taken care of. They should be free to pursue all manner of happiness.
Education is important, but learning should not be forced. Forced learning usually leads to lack of interest and ultimately that knowledge is lost.
Instead a love of learning should ideally come naturally, and the methods of learning should be equally natural. Practical skills should be taught in equal measure to maths, language, and history.
Disability likewise should not be a barrier to life and learning. The disabled are to be treated as equitable and equal as any abled person.
Accessibility should be a contributing factor in the design of infrastructure so as to best accommodate people across the abled spectrum.
There is not one particular deity that is required of this religion. Atheists are welcome and encouraged to feel at home here. Moreover, all people are welcome to bring their heritage, culture, and religious beliefs.
Diet is highly subjective and culturally diverse. There are no dietary restrictions, so long as the food and drink was created and harvested sustainably and with respect to the resources of the earth.
Animals share this planet with humans in equal measures and deserve the same respect.
Animals that are to become food should be given the best quality of life, and allowed to live that life for as long as possible.
For animals that are commonly eaten, they should be killed quickly and humanely, without pain and with great reverence to their sacrifice.
No part of an animal shall go to waste. Meat, bones, skin, and more shall be used for as many applications as possible. Anything that cannot be used should be respectfully buried or burned to ash.
It should be understood that all life is sacred and we all live in the great cycle of life and death.
No life should be taken for granted.
Plants likewise are living beings too, and should be treated with respect. Proper care should be taken in cultivating a rich wealth of diversity in nature, and that diversity should be maintained and carefully tended to ensure that the natural ecosystems of earth can thrive.
In respect to our planet, garbage should be maintained to a minimum. Items should be made to last as long as possible, and disposables should either be easily recyclable or compostable, if they are not reusable. Plastics, likewise, should be kept as minimal as is safely possible.
It is understood that it may not be possible for every single person to apply every single aspect of the above to their lives. But it is requested that people try their best to meet these standards as much as is safe to do so.
Treating one another, and our planet, with kindness and respect is something all people should strive for.
Moreover,
The Divine Order of Humanity recognizes that the cycles of life and death are not stagnant nor linear.
Change is part of this cycle and no two cycles are ever alike.
Order members are encouraged to be mindful that there is little in this world that is predictable.
Please take care to prepare for the unexpected, and embrace whatever comes with love and respect.

Since I've been talking a lot about chronic health disorders today, this one is for everyone who has an eating disorder that is caused by - or exacerbated by - a comorbid chronic health disorder. Your experiences are so valid, as are your stumbling blocks and frustrations.
Here's to the ones who have to be careful and can't follow all recovery advice such as "no food is bad food" because their body WILL react badly. To those who are scared of eating because of their symptoms, or blame themselves for their symptoms. To those who get blamed because the specific dietary needs they are meeting don't meet the typical public-eye criteria for "healthy" food. (I.E. fiber-intolerant people who cannot eat most fruits and vegetables.) For those who will never be able to fully recover from restrictive behaviors, food anxieties, and avoidance of social gatherings where food is prepared.
You are valid if you need to forge your own path to healing. You are valid if you need to adapt recovery tips as they apply to you. You deserve so much better and I hope that you find the healing and medical supports that work for you.
