"Excuse me," Alessandra stopped the nearest healer that was passing her by. "Could you direct me towards the poisoning ward? I've been asked to bring these to a healer there for some of the current patients," she explained, holding up the briefcase that inside contained vials of antidotes that could help improve conditions of the people in that ward.

“I only need you to promise me one thing–,” Arya began as she placed her hands upon her girlfriend’s shoulders, bringing her face a little closer to Harper’s, “–that you have the best time today,” she insisted before pressing a quick kiss to her lips and reaching to take her hands. “Come on, Harper Lee– let’s get our faces painted and grab something to eat. I’ve seen a stall selling fruit smoothies that I’m dying to try.”

I mean come on, I'm pretty sure I had a few dreams like this once," they admitted with a smirk before walking closer to Harper, "I know, I sound no different than a frat dude, it's my fatal flaw, I'm not actively working on it. You had lunch yet? I'm trying this whole, actually trying to nurture new friendships thing and the couple of times we've hung out your vibes have been...pretty great. You have great vibes, do you know that? Anyway, lunch, yes? My treat and lucky for you I found my car keys so I won't have to have you piggy back as I ride my skateboard. “Okay but those new jelly like scrunchies you guys have on sale right now are kind of majorly cute.” Alma sat on the edge of one of the sinks as she spoke to Harper, grateful for a brief break in between shifts and a chance to catch up with her friend. “Do you remember the shitty tipper I mentioned to you last week? He came back today, with his girlfriend and turns our she’s a great tipper. I had half the mind to tell her that her boyfriend is a dick. "So...that coaching gig you got? What kind of like hiring process did you have to go through for that?” Hector was trying not to come off too eager in his questioning but ever since his conversation with Noah he had been thinking a lot about his future. He was always a bit reserved when hanging out with Harper these days if only because he felt a little vulnerable in knowing that he was different from the last time they had seen each other. The Hector she knew back in Texas had been on top of the world and well now...it was no secret he thought of himself as pretty pathetic. Even with all of his usual charm and delusional confidence. “I’ve just been thinking about some stuff, thinking about some more constructive ways to spend time. I mean I don’t know if anyone is looking for a baseball coach but you know, I like to think I’m pretty qualified. Can’t move like I used to but I can still move pretty well,” he added, rubbing his knee for a moment before he focused back on his coffee and took some long sips. "Anyway, how's your weekend going?"

I don’t mind a little champagne but you know I’m not a big drinker anyways.”

roy is so interesting to me because he's such a trustworthy person but, at the same time, he has a tendency to lie. it's never with the intent to harm — he lies to protect himself, to protect others, etc. — but it forces him into difficult situations regardless. it's especially evident in new teen titans (1984) #20-21 with the first confrontation between him and jade, as well as the cheshire contract when he reached out to dick for help. outright lying eats away at him always because that's not the kind of person he is. he's a good man, he's honest, and he's someone his friends and family can trust when shit hits the fan, on or off the battlefield. sometimes it's not necessarily lying, per se, but him taking advantage of moments where no one asks questions. he doesn't volunteer information if he doesn't think it's relevant, which is something we see in outsiders (2003) with "batman" and batman plus arsenal (1996) with jade. in situations like these, though, the guilt that we see him struggle with when he actually lies isn't present.
