they would have so much potential for gentleness in their dynamic after all their deeper complex-clashings would demand further vulnerability thus trust and understanding...

I find the frequency at which I give sanji n usopp the side eye since skypiea and the "he killed our sanji / you can't die I need you / you smell nice" debacle has gone up exponentially

Happy 2nd anniversary @galladrabbles! So happy to be a part of it. Prompt: Freestyle and Fun/Picture prompt - Doing 2 offerings this week Words 100
1 of 2
-----------------
"I want you to fuck me like you're about to start a life sentence tomorrow."
Ian was mid-sip his beer as Mickey stormed into the apartment.
"Wait…what?"
"Second anniversary is cotton. Bought you these sheets. Aren't they nice?" he asked, showing the plastic package for a moment before tossing it behind him. Ian giggled, catching Mickey as he leapt toward him.
"Your body is fucking ridiculous. How the hell did I even get you?" he asked between kisses. "Been thinking about you all day. Fuck me. Here, floor, table...wherever-the-fuck. Until I pass out or you do."
"Happy anniversary to me!"

So, it was said that Eomer was like a brother to Theodred? Do you know (or perhaps have some HCs) how was Theodred's relationship with Eowyn? Was she like a little sister to him?
Oh, this is a lovely dynamic that I like to think about, so thanks for asking! ♥️♥️♥️
Éowyn was just 7 when she came to live with Théodred (who was 24) and Théoden. She didn’t know them especially well because she was so young and had lived her whole life in Aldburg, which they were only able to visit occasionally. So when she first got to Edoras, still deep in her grief and trauma, she kept her distance from Théodred and everyone else but Éomer because they all felt so unfamiliar and, thus, scary.
Théodred made it a personal goal to engage her and win her over, both out of sympathy for her plight and from a sense of duty to her mother, who had been especially dear to him (Théodwyn was like a surrogate mother to him as a small child after his own mother’s death). Éowyn was too small to take with him on his daily duties as he often did with Éomer, but he sought her out every evening and whenever he had free time.
He tried everything to break through her reserve — spoiling her with treats, taking her swimming or on rides in the countryside, gifting her a puppy, teaching her gardening (a skill he’d learned, in turn, from her mother). But what ultimately worked best was telling her old tales of Rohan’s great warriors, especially Eorl, the namesake of her house. Whenever she heard these stories, she’d noticeably perk up, ask questions and even smile or laugh. These little story hours became a regular routine of theirs and were the foundation of their eventual bond.
Théoden asked Théodred to look after Éomer’s education and training, which he did. But it was immediately obvious to him that little Éowyn wanted in. She would hide in the shadows of their lesson room or follow at a distance when they went to the training grounds, and Théodred wanted to see her happy so he eventually started teaching her, too, in secret.
She hated the reading and writing lessons (reminder that this family was literate because of their Gondorian relatives!), and sometimes they argued strenuously over it. But he made the book learning a condition of getting her riding and fighting lessons, so she stuck with it. He taught her how to wield a sword, to defend herself, to ride in an effective cavalry charge. When she turned 18, he gifted her a beautiful shield with the emblem of Eorl on it and a dagger with a running horse carved into the handle. She kept both for the rest of her life and even slept with the dagger at her side during the years she was being pursued by Gríma.
Théodred loved Éowyn’s spirit, grit and even her restless energy and bullheaded defiance, all of which reminded him of Théodwyn. She loved his quiet, introspective nature and his calm, reassuring presence, all of which were things she had been very unused to up until that point in her life. So they were very close.
As a little girl, she dreaded the day when he’d get married and start a family of his own because she didn’t want to lose him from her daily life. As a result, she was openly hostile to any woman who showed interest in him or who was brought to court by Théoden as a potential match. Théodred didn’t mind (and found it funny) because he was in no hurry to marry, but it tested Théoden’s patience to see Éowyn interrogate these women, “accidentally” spill things on their best dresses or straight up threaten them when she thought no one else was watching.
She did eventually make her peace with the idea that he needed to make a life of his own, and she was, in retrospect, very glad to be able to read and write so that they could stay in close contact after he moved to the Westfold as Second Marshal. She even became good friends with the woman he eventually chose as a fiancée (something that happened in the last years of his life). Éowyn appreciated that Eadlin had a mind of her own and something of an edge to her, so they got along well even though Eadlin shared none of Éowyn’s aspirations or interests in fighting and battle.
When Éowyn ended up in Ithilien after the War, surrounded by beautiful forests and plant life, she cultivated a special garden there and filled it with all of Théodred’s favorite flowers, using all the skills he had taught her. She went there whenever she was missing him and wanted to feel closer to his memory.

not all parallels exist for you to be like “theyre the EXACT same!! they feel the EXACT same way as that other time!!” sometimes they want you to find the difference between the two because yes, context matters still.

Anytime I think of Suhak and the trio I get so sad, like seeing moments of Hak still protecting Su-won after everything...
It’s so obvious that they all loved one another deeply in a life-long friendship/familyhood kind of way, like the bonds were THAT strong except Il and Yu-Hon’s dumb shit corrupted it. The saddest thing is that Su-Won literally HAS NO GRUDGE OR DISTRUST TOWARDS HAK. Like with Yona, she’s related to Il and is Hiryuu but Hak has zero connection and has been NOTHING BUT KIND TO HIM.
I mean seriously, the trio is the heart of this story and it’s so tragic because I know they can’t be besties anymore for the rest of their lives yet there was NOTHING as close to them as THEM ok, NOTHING!

“I wish could’ve made her listen to us, one way or another. I would have done it. I would have fought much worse than Calamity Ganon. I would have fought Demise himself just so you could be happy. But I can’t bare you hating yourself or me for something we couldn’t have helped.”
“I could never hate you, Link.”
“You did, at one point.”
“No, I didn’t. It was never hate. I was jealous because I thought you were perfect. I thought you knew what you were doing, and I thought the goddess favored you. It was stupid and childish that I couldn’t look past my own nose and see that you were suffering too. And for that, I am truly sorry.”
Don't mind me just one of my favorite scenes I've ever written.

Hen and Chim’s friendship is so beautiful. They have a really deep understanding between the two of them. They have their disagreements and still know why the other has a different opinion.
The way they both allow the other to see their vulnerabilities, see each other’s flaws and accept them anyways.
Their friendship is so strong and so valuable.
