This fish was caught as part of a scientific survey, and was released after the photo was taken.

Other names for this species include: mudfish, mud pike, dogfish, grindle, grinnel, swamp trout, and choupique.

This fish is a member of an ancient lineage that dates back to the early Triassic. (This and another species of bowfin are the only 2 members of this group that are still around).

Bowfins are capable of breathing oxygen from the air (with their swim bladder), as well as water (with their gills).

they’ve taken responsibility for the terrible terror attack at the AMIA (jewish community center) in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the 90s. 85 were killed, over 300 got hurt. they assisted with the terror attack at the israeli embassy, also in buenos aires. they were even found linked to the explosion in the parking lot of the bulgarian airport in 2012 that took the lives of 5 israelis+1 bulgarian citizen and hurt over 30. don’t care about the jews/israelis they hurt? in the AMIA explosion many people hurt were actually people on the street, as it was done by setting off a car next to the entrance. in the middle of the street. of buenos fucking aires. they’re also responsable for some attacks against US citizens within the Lebanese borders. we’re talking some pretty decent numbers.

when israel says the west is next, hezbollah is a prime example of a terror organization that’s far from being just a middle eastern or israeli issue. they have the means and aren’t shy to operate globally. they cannot be mistaken as a resistance group. some of you doing or saying literally anything just to express your discontent with israel, without fully understanding the meaning, besides it being embarrassing and pathetic, is becoming extremely dangerous by the minute. please stop, this is not a reality show, some of us actually have to live with the consequences of your words.
