To all of you who are blaming the pacing issues on the episode lengths, do you not watch anime? There are shows that have 20/24 minute episodes who somehow magically manage to tell a coherent plot in that time. It's almost like... the problem isn't the format.

#it's the writing btw #the rewrites took the stakes out of the plot and the deadline all things that aid the pace of the story #it's okay to make changes that aid the story to fit the format: look at the musical- it did an amazing adaptation with limited time/budget #so why- with such a huge budget and more time than the movie (who also successfully managed to tell a good story) is the Tv show-#struggling so much?#the whole point of the original series was to explain the myths and make them accessible like-#and before people come saying that animes have like a Bunch of episodes there's a lot of mini series some that are 12 total #hell- erased told a great murder mystery/thriller with time travel and different time lines in 12 episodes #pjo tv crit

Tbh i believe that one of the reasons why Reanimator has an active fandom (beside being just a good queer coded horror movie) is that characters are just very drawable. Like Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbott, Barbara Crampton, heck even David Gale look easy to draw, give them some fun cartoony shapes. They're perfect <3

Just found out the spongebpb SquarePants movie released today in 2004

#on a serious note i do think he is the best one-off protagonist of any of the movies #half his tests werent even really to teach him anything jigsaw just wanted to spite him which was really funny. and then he died SO badly #but like he seemed like he actually changed by the time he won his game (did he technically win it even though he died? i cant remember)#which automatically puts him ahead of like. a lot of other movie specific protags (looking at you jeff denlon) in that the jigsaw doctrine #actually worked on him. and he had an actual reason to be there that wasnt like. he was kinda depressed. or one of those people that were #an accessory to someone elses game. like remember bobby dagens wife. wasnt that fucked up #honestly saw 6 was a great movie in most ways but i do think easton shouldve lived. like he won his game n got the memo but they killed him #anyway for like. shock value or something #basically i like him :)#unrelated to easton but the shotgun carousel is the best trap in the whole series btw #🫀

I’m pretty sure this costume is going to be traded in for a more traditional look by the end of the movie

The movie originally had the subtitle “Legacy” and features a huge cast of established superheroes, most of whom are not the original versions or are part of their own larger team

The image gives the vibe of an internal conflict as Supes puts on a roughed up suit to deal with a huge world threatening situation in the distance. The suit itself looks very technical, maybe a little over designed tho I think it’ll look better in action, there’s a clear New 52 influence. I think it’s also intended to be somewhat excessive and formal, being originally from Krypton

I think the main thread of the movie is Clark figuring out his purpose, what kind of hero he wants to be, how he wants to represent himself, etc. He’ll seek out the advice/perspectives of different legacy heroes. By the end when he figures out who “Superman” is as a concept, he’ll wear a new suit, his classic comic look, setting the tone for the new continuity

#no hate on the new suit btw I really dig it. it looks like a real tactile thing someone could believably put on #a lot of the costumes in Gunn’s movies are great. even if they’re ridiculous comic nonsense they still fit the story #still let’s see the OG suit Martha makes for him #the Snyder suits were also cool but looked like they were made just to pose in not for action ironically #like stiff heavy rubber suits idk #generally not all the time #david corenswet #Superman #superman legacy #clark kent #dc #dcu #dc universe

Today was... well... something...

The BC show was great, no doubt about that. The guys were really having fun up there. Could I have done without the heat and getting my head pressed against the barricade so hard by a crowdsurfer that the back of my ear split open? Yeah, definitely. But does that mean that I didn't have fun? No.

I mean I would've had more fun for the rest of the day if I had still had the ability to crane my head and not suffer in the heat. But the BC show itself was just as great as always.

I saw some of my usual concert buddies again (bc fans of a feather or smth like that) and I had so much fun at the Attila and Sleep Token shows as well.

Wish I could've stayed for Gojira but I desperately need some rest, a glass of water and an Ibuprofen ASAP.

Currently I'm stuck at a random train station in the middle of nowhere and I'll probs be home at 4 (kill me).

I want to sleep soooo badly

#i spent 90% of the concert staring at Olli and noooo fucking regrets there #he's always my highlight of the show #overly dramatic actor core my beloved #aaaaaaalso #i literally walked from the festival back to the train station and the stars looked soooo beautiful 🥰#yeah i was practically jogging to catch my train but ✨️stars✨️#took me like an hour + getting lost #highkey horror movie vibes but we stay silly #walking down a completely dark street in the middle of the night with barely enough money on my prepaid card to call my mom just in case #wE sTaY SiLLy #also got a moment on camera for all you olli/allu girlies 😘#btw the text makes it sound like i only went to three shows #but i also saw born of osiris/ vended/ while she sleeps which were all great as well #vended wasn't really my kinda thing but the show was still fun to watch from afar tbh #bc/ attila/ sleep token were the bands i was actually looking forward to seeing today and boy did they deliver
