Nomad Rates Cosmere Planets
As requested by @endervexer :)
Nomad is always on the move--but if he had time to stop and rate Cosmere planets as if they were hotels (you know, rating how clean they are, what the accommodations are like, etc), what would those ratings look like?
1. Canticle (The Sunlit Man)
Place was pretty clean, as the ever-present burning of the sun constantly purified the land.
Food was mediocre. Needed spice.
Accommodations were pretty old and worn down, but clean.
People were polite but not overly friendly, which I count as a positive. Some of them tried to kill me, which I count as a negative.
Entertainment consisted of gladiatorial fights and/or public executions. You can also hear stories. The stories are about ghosts.
BTW, place is haunted.
Overall, 2/5.
2. First of the Sun (Sixth of the Dusk)
Note: I only had time to visit part of this planet. Specifically, the island jungle part.
I would not call it "clean." It is a jungle. It is full of death.
If you like your food fresh-caught and cooked over a fire, you will like the food here. I did not try much of the food, because I was mostly fleeing death.
Accommodations were sparse, unpleasant, and--you guessed it!--not very safe from death.
The people tended to be distrustful and prickly. I did not hold this against them. I was only there briefly, and I was prickly too.
Entertainment was mostly hunting and camping. Although I would not class it as "entertainment" as much as "necessary survival."
NOT an island vacation. 1/5 stars (one star because the chickens there were pretty)
3. Lumar (Tress of the Emerald Sea)
For a place in which water brings death, it was actually pretty clean. Not sparking, but clean enough.
I did not like the food much. Bland. Their sea chickens do not taste as good as land chickens, IMO.
Since most of planet seems to be oceans (NOT water-based), you will find yourself staying on ships if you stay on this planet. What do you want me to say? It's a ship. Even if you have a private cabin, it will be small. It was fine.
People were on the whole friendly but seemed unused to visitors. I don't think this spot is very popular.
Interesting place to sightsee. The oceans are all different colors. The lunagrees (moon aether waterfalls) are worth seeing.
Overall, 3/5
4. Nalthis (Warbreaker)
Planet was generally well kept up--dirty in the way that populated cities or vast snowy landscapes full of woods can be dirty, but nothing major.
Great if you like seafood. Worth seeking out ethnic neighborhoods within the big cities for better food.
Some parts of the planet have better accommodations than others. If you want to stay in a cabin and feel cold and depressed all the time, try Idris. If you want to be a warmer place and like seafood and way too much color, try Hallandren.
If you want culture & stuff to do, try Hallandren. We're talking sports, art, music, creepy statues, pretty much anything you can think of. I cannot emphasize enough that it too colorful though.
This place will take your breath away (just a little Nalthian humor).
4/5 I had to soak my eyes after.
5. Scadrial (Mistborn)
Saw lots of reviewers saying that planet is the dirtiest place they've ever been, what with the constant rain of deadly ash.
Not my experience. Place was admittedly dusty in a "we love our cowboy aesthetic" kind of way, but they've clearly cleaned up since some of those earlier reviews.
Food was okay, but this seems to be more a place you go to drink. If you like whiskey, you will like Scadrial. Yeah I saw the review saying people drink perfume. Can't verify. Didn't see that.
Lots of places to stay, many of which are pleasant enough. If you happen to be speeding through the planet in fear of your life and the life of everyone you've ever cared about, then you'll be happy to hear that your options are many: horses, cars, trains, magic.
(I will ding them for their idiotic train system. Sometimes people don't WANT to go through the center on every trip.)
Entertainment options I saw: ride trains, see giraffes, drink, visit fast-food places, drink, visit the Field of Rebirth, shoot guns, drink.
4/5 I'm just not that into cowboys
6. Sel (Elantris)
Cleanliness varied from "sparkling silver city of the gods" to "battlefield awash in the blood of innocents." Definitely not the dirtiest place I've ever stayed.
Food was a highlight. You can get good spice here. Sweet things are also available for women/ardents.
On the whole, accommodations are solid. Good infrastructure, no weather actively trying to kill you, some places on planet not currently at war.
People can be aggressively religious, but if you avoid people in red armor, it's fine.
For entertainment, I can recommend sightseeing--go see the city of Elantris. It's worth it. Note: reviews complaining about zombies and sludge are old. Always check the date on reviews.
Overall 4/5
7. Taldain (White Sand)
The place has too much sand to be clean. I'm sorry but it has to be said.
The place has too much sand to have good food. I feel like it was always slightly...crunchy.
The accommodations are fine if you like sand.
The people always seem to be subtly wanting to prove that they're better than you. Sometimes it is not subtle. I guess this is what happens when Autonomy is in charge.
If you want entertainment, try the Darkside.
Overall, 2/5 just not my favorite place.
8. Threnody (Shadows for Silence)
Place is quite clean.
Food is bland again. You cannot trust Threnodites to have good food.
Oh, also the place is full of ghosts who will murder you.
0/5
9. Komashi (Yumi and the Nightmare Painter)
Can verify that place is no longer infested by deadly nightmares seeking your death. Travelers no longer need to seek out the few pockets of warmth and light in the sea of encroaching darkness. It's a pretty normal planet now.
Food is pretty good. Ramen place in Kilahito (Noodle Princess) is a highlight.
Good accommodations, tech-wise. Heating, lighting, hion-viewers. If you need that stuff to feel comfortable, not a bad place to visit.
If you're not actively on the run, there is plenty to do, from watching your shows to attending local festivals or art installations, to star gazing.
Pleasant place, these days. 5/5
10. Roshar
Note: I'm from here so my review may be biased.
Can't say planet is very clean. It's always at war, and the rain is full of crem.
Food varies. Soulcast food is not very good. Non-soulcast homemade food is great! (Most food is soulcast.)
Accommodations matter--try to stay in a building that is sturdy on both the east & the west side because the storms here do want to kill you. That is not entirely a metaphor. Are the accommodations nice? I mean, they're fine.
There is a lot to do here if you like war. There is a lot of war.
5/5 This place sucks and I miss it a lot.

Savior Carl!AU re-read Part 1 Chapter 2
Follow-up of my re-read of Part 1 Chapter 1. If you're not interested and don't want to have your dashboard spammed, you can block the tags Duchess reads and Savior Carl AU reread.
Commentary for Part 1, Ch 2 below the cut (spoilers for part 1 ahead):
Chapter 2 here we go. Let's count how many times Negan calls Carl 'mine' in this chapter, shall we?
âI gotta say, kid, I am impressed. You guys were like a two-man army down there.â His eyes settle on Carlâs arm, resting limp at his side. âCome on. We got a long road back before you can get looked at by the doc.â âIâm fine,â Carl hisses, irked at being treated like heâs helpless. Didnt he just demonstrate that he knows how to handle himself, while all these assholes stood with their guns and watched? âItâs just dislocated. Shane can pop it back; heâs done it before.â Negan smiles, and there is nothing nice about it. âIâm sure he has, kid. And Iâm sure Iâd love to see you take it like a champ, all dry eyes and gritted teeth. But you belong to me, now. And I take care of whatâs mine. So there will be no half-assed, amateur bone-setting job done in the middle of fucking nowhere. Weâll ride back and youâll go to the doc. Period.â
And that's count 1 already!! I love this moment because this is Negan staking his claim over Carl from the get-go. Not only that, but you can also see through the subtext the subtle way in which Negan is already driving a wedge between Carl and Shane, by demeaning Shane's ability to care for Carl (Negan praised Shane's skills a moment before but now he's calling him an amateur and someone who does a half-assed job) while insisting that he's better at caring for Carl and his wellbeing than Shane is.
Carl looks at Negan defiantly, and the man holds his gaze with a knowing smirk, daring him to contradict him. He turns Lucilleâs handle between his gloved fingers in a gesture that Carl can only define as eager. âFine,â Carl mutters, lowering his eyes, and he knows instantly that itâs going to be like that from now on. No matter how much he tries to fight Negan, itâs always going to end like that: with Carl standing down, humiliated and ashamed. âAttaboy,â Negan murmurs, as he turns around, walking back toward the cars with a lazy sway of his hips. âLetâs get this show on the road! Iâve got a bed and a whole line of wives waiting for me.â
Wow, Negan. You've made things real sexual suddenly. I wonder why that is? Maybe because Carl just willingly submitted to you? Because you're maybe imagining *him* in your bed? In your harem with the rest of your wives? Hmm? Just a thought.
"Heâs right, you know? That sister of yours is perfectly safe in Alexandria. I know you and I didnât get off on the greatest of start, what with me beating the living fuck out of your friends in that clearing, but you can trust me on this. We have a code. We donât rape and we donât let anything happen to kids.â Carl scoffs and Negan turns his head toward him, eyes narrowed. âWhat? Youâve seen anything here to make you believe otherwise? Do you see anyone going hungry? Any kid being abused or terrorized? No. Because we donât do that kind of shit here. And honestly, I wouldnât want to live anywhere that let that sort of shit fly. We save people. We saved your dad, and we saved your town, and we saved your sister, and we saved you. As long as Iâm standing, nothingâs gonna happen to her. I can promise you that.â He stays silent for a few moments, watching Carl pensively, letting his words sink in.
This chapter is very much about Negan explaining how the Sanctuary works to Carl, laying down the rules and trying to convince him that his system is sound. Negan is trying very hard to get Carl on board, to win him to his cause.
Neganâs lips stretch into a slow grin, like heâs been following every single one of Carlâs thoughts and he can see the exact moment Carl reaches the conclusion he's laid out for him. He bumps the head of his bat on top of Carlâs shoulder, right where Shaneâs hand was a few moments ago, before walking away.
This may seem like nothing but this is such an important moment in the story. Negan is already trying to drive a wedge between Carl and Shane because he wants to replace Shane. There are several times throughout the story when Negan puts the bat right where Shane touched Carl, another way for Negan to stake a claim, to assert his territory over Carl, and this is one of them.
âI hear you havenât been eating.â Carl frowns from where heâs been sitting on the metal steps of the parking lot, watching the morbid spectacle of walkers attached to the fences. Heâs dreamed of his mother, and of Carol, of Maggie and Sophia, and spent all day in an exhausted daze, unable to fully shake himself awake. Now, in the quiet of the dusk, the evening breeze clearing away the scent of rotting walkers, he just wants to be by himself. When it becomes clear that Negan isnât going anywhere, he knows he has to answer. âI eat,â he mumbles, staring resolutely ahead. He doesnât want to give Negan the privilege of his attention. âCut the bullshit. Iâm not talking about all the canned crap in your room. I mean the good shit from the market. No oneâs seen you there.â
This scene is so important in many aspects and yet Carl doesn't realize it. Negan has been watching him. Not just watching him the way a leader watches a former enemy that has now joined his rank, but actually watching out for his wellbeing. Negan has probably spies all over Sanctuary whose role is to watch Carl and report his every move to Negan. Everything from where he goes to what he eats. And when Negan finds Carl's eating habits lacking, he goes through the trouble of talking to Carl about it. There's a definite paternal side to Negan that really shows here, in his concern for Carl's health. Also, I like to think this might also be the educator in Negan, who maybe used to watch the kids under his care at school and make sure that they fit in, that they have friends and that they eat during lunch break.
âYou mean the food that other people produce for you but canât afford to eat themselves?â It was supposed to be a sly barb but Negan just scoffs like Carlâs stupider than he thought: âIâm sorry, kid, maybe you forgot how the world was back when you were still shitting in diapers, but that has literally always been how things work. Welcome to capitalism 101. Some people get a lot, some people get the scraps. Even when your mommy and daddy were taking you out for pancakes on Sunday, someone back in the kitchen was getting fucked in the ass by the minimum wage system. So donât act like Iâm the big bad guy here and just go eat something. Youâre a Savior, you help keep this place safe. Youâve earned it. Now go take it.â
Like I said, this chapter is all about Negan explaining how Sanctuary works to Carl, and here he's defending the system he put in place. As unpopular an opinion as it might be, Negan is right. His system is no more unfair than the world before was, which is directly where Negan is taking his inspiration. Like he says to Gabriel in canon, "it's an economy" and a very capitalist one at that. It's not the utopia that Rick or Ezekiel are building, but it is a working system, one that apparently worked well enough for Negan to still have support even when he's in the cell after losing the war.
âIâm fine,â he grits. An all-too familiar weight settles on Carlâs shoulder and he instantly straightens from his slouched position. He starts to turn his head toward Negan but has to stop when his hair gets tangled in the barbed points of the bat. âGood, I have your attention. Now, Iâm hungry so why donât you got to the market and get me some stuff for a sandwich. Iâm thinking ham, mustard and tomatoes on rye. Throw in a couple of pickles too. The good home-made shit from number 42âs stall.â
I cannot begin to tell you guys how much I love the sandwich scene. Now that I'm looking at it almost four years later, it is still such a perfect scene to me. It's the first time Negan and Carl really go toe to toe and the first intimate (conflictual as it is) moment between them. So far Negan has kept his distance but now he's going in.
âHoly shit, kid. Youâre still alive?!â Thatâs not his dadâs voice, Carl realizes confusedly. Not Shaneâs voice either. He needs to find Shane. Where is he? Did he leave? Did he take baby Lori and leave like he always threatened to? âNo,â he tries to say, but it feels like his tongue weighs a hundred pound inside his mouth. Even keeping his eyes open is starting to be unbearable. There is a dull pain throbbing in the right side of his face, and a sense of panic keeps pulling at the corner of his mind, though he canât remember what thatâs about. âShhh, kid,â says the voice above him. âDonât talk. Jesus fucking Christ, I canât believe youâre still fucking alive.â Then, the voice starts booming furiously: âWhat are you all doing with your dicks hanging out? Get that murderous bitch in a cell and tell the doc weâre coming right the fuck now!â As if through a dark red fog, Carl registers that he is being lifted into the air, and he is further reminded of Christmas Eves spent by the tree, waiting to catch Santa Claus before his dad would carry him to bed. Distantly, he hears the voice panting urgently above him. âHang on, kid. Weâre almost there, just hang on.â
The scene where Carl loses his eye is also a huge favorite of mine for so many reasons. First of all is the fact that this is a pivotal scene in Carl and Negan's relationship. Before that, their dynamic was one of strictly unequal leader/soldier type relationship. But now, suddenly, there's a link between them, an intimacy created by the fact that Carl saved Negan's life. I don't think a lot of people have saved Negan in the past. Lucille, when she shot the walker outside their house, as well as Laura's father when he fed Negan and gave him medicine in the "Here's Negan" episode. Those are probably the last people who saved Negan's life. Everything after that was ruthless survival on Negan's part, saving himself and others through sheer wit and force of will. And yet, here's Carl, an 18yo kid who just did what no one else would have: sacrificed himself to save Negan. This is the moment that changes everything and nothing will be the same after that.
âI gotta say, I knew you were special from the start. Kids your age, in a world like this, they are either scared shitless of their own shadows or they turn into full-blown sadistic ghouls, killing everything that moves just because they can. But not you. You, you know whatâs at stakes. Youâve killed and you donât shy away from it. You donât enjoy it either, but you get the job done because you know that sometimes, in order to save people, you gotta kill people. And I respect the shit out of that.â He scratches his beard while looking at Carl pensively. âYour step-dad is lucky to have you, kid. This whole place is lucky to have you. âCause you may think that Iâm bad, but let me tell you: if I wasnât here to run the show, youâd know what bad really is. This place is a fucking zoo and Iâm the one keeping all the animals fed and locked up. The minute I stop being in charge, everything here falls apart and it goes back to being a goddamn free-for-all. And I mean it literally. People will be slaughtering each other in the blink of an eye without daddy here to keep the peace. So you didnât just save my life, kid. You saved the life of every single person here as well. Remember that.â
This is another instance of Negan explaining the Sanctuary to Carl, though this time he explains his own role in it, how, by being at the top of the pyramid, he prevents chaos and violence from spreading below. This is also the first time that Negan talks to Carl as an equal instead of an underling, telling him that he can see Carl's potential, how he doesn't shy away from violence but also isn't enjoying it. This is the first time that Negan tells Carl he respects him and that he sees him as someone who could be more than a footsoldier but, possibly, one day, more of an equal, someone who shares Negan's vision and might rule by his side.
âStill, I now have four job openings. Five, if I count the time youâre gonna spend recovering. Iâll offer her to fill one out. Get her the same deal I gave you and Shane. She becomes one of us, all is forgiven.â âSheâll never go for it,â Carl warns. He knows how headstrong Rosita is, how devastated she was after what happened to Abraham. How much she loathes Negan and the Saviors. Negan shrugs as he walks toward the door. âThen sheâll die. Like I said, I donât let people fuck with whatâs mine.â
Second count of Negan calling Carl "mine" in just one chapter, and the story hasn't even turned shippy yet. Negan, your crush is so very obvious...
Conclusion; tldr: This chapter is all about Carl and Negan. It's about Negan watching Carl and Carl watching Negan in turn, the both of them assessing the other, testing the boundary of this new leader/soldier relationship. But more than that, it's also Negan reaching a hand out to Carl, showing him all he can offer (power, comfort, luxury) if Carl just submits to him. Negan is explaining to Carl how the Sanctuary works, defending the system he put in place to him so Carl will see Negan's vision and, hopefully, share in it. But when Rosita tries to kill Negan and Carl saves his life, it's also the beginning of a more personal relationship. Negan watches what Carl eats, watches him sleep in the infirmary, and is genuinely concerned about Carl's wellbeing. Negan has the biggest crush on the planet and he isn't even aware of it yet.

PLEASE DO NOT TAG AS YOUR OWN OC OR PAIRING.
Nathan and Ruben share a bond more powerful than most; mutual understanding through past experiences no one should ever have to go through, and through past actions so horrible they cannot be spoken of. Their grief and the blood on their hands binds them to the STEM technology they created, which has alienated them from the rest of the worldâ but they give each other the comfort they have both longed for so desperately for years, and that is all they need. They are each other's counterpart; you cannot imagine one without the other, like two sides of the same coin. Through their pain, their grief, their desire, and their regret, they have become one.

when I was in high school there was a tendency whenever there was an attractive boy to simply fan over him. in a way that talked over everything he might say for himself and created a narrative that completely ignored, the fact in some cases, that he was really strugglingâor if he was struggling, to pin all the blame on the girl heâs dating and completely ignore the thousands of other factors (no it canât be mental illness or unaccommodated disability or systemic abuse or exploitation and if he is in an abusive relationship we wonât ever consider the factors that put him at risk for that)
and Iâm not saying this fandom is like that. I get the need for privacy around some things and how in public conversations sometimes itâs a lot more respectful to stick to the positives (everyone who does that, I admire you) or even the struggles that are talked about publicly, show respect by not reading too far into them. thereâs a time and place for that. but sometimes I feel like our only options are shitty and ableist gossip or totally ignoring the systemic and structural issues we know exist in something like the music industry until someone dies and then weâre looking for someone to blame. friends, there is a point where the respectful thing is to listen to what someone says and come together to make things better. and you can learn how to have that conversation respectfully. please do
#forever haunted by âI wasnât always a cynic itâs just Iâve been bought and soldâ#and actually this highlights my whole frustration with the conversation around mental health just about anywhere#like you tell people something sucks and theyâre completely unwilling to even try to challenge the status quo in order to help#and idk. I tell myself theyâre going to be fine. theyâre so resilient. Iâm doing all I can; Iâm not on the ground there Iâm at a distance#but at the same time is it not bittersweet sometimes to enjoy music born from trauma? to be at a live show knowing they shouldnât be?#to me these stories have to be told for the reason that yes so people relate but also so we can do better for the next generation#anyway Iâve gotten deep into inxs lore lately and I can say. yes it is better for 5sos simply for the fact men can talk about emotions#but that didnât come without a MASSIVE fight donât you ever forget that. itâs gonna still carry shame. theyâre choosing to fight that#but the sad songs we got as a result?? idk theyâre the thing that turned me parasocial because thereâs rarely absolutely nothing you can do#like if weâre ever gonna give them a gold star for talking about this stuff as early as sgfg til today we gotta ask ourselves to look at#larger systemic issues and stuff that we ARE a part of and while we canât be there for them when they have a bad day. we can work on#anyway the high school example still haunts me. still drives some of what I do now. we were just kids. but most of us here arenât anymore#and the newbrokenscene is grown up now and tbh the status quo should be TERRIFIED#so idk. at the very least sign the petition for liams law. advocate for better. address local issues of injustice and addiction etc#which in some ways Iâm lucky that I get to do that in sydney so it feels connected but this is just as valuable anywhere#tbh the 2010s era of bubblegum pop and ignoring all our problems is over. youâre punk now. even katy released chained to the rhythm#thinking about the nfp Iâm trying to start and how to start small. for disadvantaged kids maybe? intervening via urban design?#(donât you ever forget 5sos WERE disadvantaged kids not even 20 years ago. that shit sticks to you no matter how much you achieve)#albums and activism#anyway it fascinates me to see how differently people do this kind of thing to each band member. like the vibe is different but still track#for this whole phenomenon like whether theyâre seen as pretty or strong or cute or smth else that becomes the main thing not their words#and I say that but tumblr is pretty good overall. I just wish sometimes we could have a more active conversation before any tragedy#so gosh Iâm ranting so much but PLEASE talk about this with me. I notice far too much and I canât say any of it publicly#so occasionally I come out with a rant like this

Juno (Hotch x Fem!Reader) -- one shot
Hello again! This goes from zero to 100 in two seconds flat don't @ me!! Sabrina's new album came out and reawakened something in me (everyone say thank you Sabrina) (also this is not beta'd I wrote this in a short n' sweet haze)
Summary: Aaron is working from home but what paperwork he needs to do is the absolute last thing on your mind.
Warnings: smut! 18+ only! this is so filthy! in no particular order: multiple orgasms, cockwarming, choking, brat tendencies, stoplight system, unprotected sex, breeding kink (briefly), face fucking, overstimulation
WC: like 3,400 I lost my damn mind clearly
Youâre not sure whatâs gotten into you. Blame it on period hormones (probably) or the fact that Aaron looks absolutely delicious right now in his tight black t-shirt (most likely), but youâre going to go insane if either of you have clothes on for another five minutes.Â
The problem is, Aaron is trying to focus. Itâs one of his days where he works from home, an idea you gave him when you realized how easy it would be for him to do the same paperwork just from the comfort of your living room. It was a brilliant idea at first. You got to see him more, and were able to do your own thing around the house while he did his work. You got to have lunch together, and offer a genuine mental break in between his mountain of paperwork.Â
Now, though, you canât find it in you to give a single fuck about whatever needs to be signed, who needs to clear what, and what phone calls he still needs to make.Â
âHoney,â you call sweetly from the kitchen. You watch him from over the island, your thoughts going all sorts of ways -- namely, deep into the gutter. âWant to break for lunch?â
You see Aaron shake his head, still typing furiously on his laptop. âItâs not even noon yet.â
âBrunch?â you try again, walking out of the kitchen. You lean against the doorframe, crossing your arms over your chest in the way you know he loves because of the view it gives him of your cleavage. And youâre wearing a v-neck shirt today for that exact reason, too.
Aaron still doesnât look up. âIâm sorry honey, maybe in an hour?â
You let out a huff that you know he hears because he finally looks up, eyebrows raised just so. Itâs a look that you love. Curious, veering toward that playful annoyance that you canât seem to go a few hours without his undivided attention.Â
Which, you can, by the way. Youâre more than capable. Itâs just that right now, itâs a crime that his eyes have been looking at paperwork when they should be looking at you.
âAre you okay?â he asks, and thereâs some hesitation in his voice. You know heâs assuming the worst. That youâre not okay mentally, and thatâs why you need him to take his lunch break now or maybe for the rest of the day. Heâs done it before on your darker days.
But youâre okay. Youâre perfectly fine. Youâd just be even better if he put the damn laptop away and put his fingers to use somewhere else.
Which is exactly why you come to a stop in front of him and reach forward, tilting his screen down and down until it closes. He lets you.
He lets you take his laptop and put it on the table beside the couch. He watches you, his fiery brown eyes taking in every second. He lets you straddle his hips, your arms circling his neck.
âI see now,â he smirks, his hands finding their rightful place on your waist and squeezing lovingly. âBy âlunch breakâ you meanâŚâ
âPut a baby in me,â you blurt, rocking your hips against his.
He stills, his hands making you stop your movements, too. His eyes are darker now in a way you havenât seen in a while. âWhat?â
âPlease,â you say, leaning your forehead down onto his, trying to move your hips again. âNeed you.â
âHoney, we canât have--â
âYes I know the semantics, Aaron,â you mutter, now annoyed and lifting your head to glare at him. He has a vasectomy, you get that. âI mean fuck me like youâre putting a baby in me.â
His hands squeeze again. âI see.â
You frown. âDonât tease me.â
âIâm not,â he smirks, one hand leaving your waist to stroke your cheek. âYouâre adorable when youâre horny.â
You roll your eyes, peeling yourself off his lap. He lets you go, albeit with a curious look. You turn and head for the bedroom.
âWhere are you going?â he calls out after you, still with that damn smirk lacing his words.
âTo get myself off,â you reply in a deadpan. âSince someone--â
You donât have a chance to finish your sentence before Aaron is right behind you, hands on your hips, spinning you around to face him. That look full of fire is back again, stern this time.
âDid I say you could do that?â he says in a low tone.
âDid I ask?â you retort, backing out of his grasp and darting into the bedroom.Â
Now thereâs a smirk on your lips. Itâs quickly approaching shit-eating grin territory, which you know will only egg Aaron on further. This little game of cat and mouse happens to be your favorite, and he knows it.
Youâre barely two steps into the bedroom when Aaron is attached to your back yet again, this time wrapping his arms around your waist, locking you in.
âColor?â he whispers, his lips right at your ear, sending shivers straight down your spine.
You groan. âGreen. Neon green. So green, I need you to--â
He spins you again, this time backing you into the wall and attacking your lips. Finally, you think, though you know youâre in for it now. The thought has a grin crawling up your lips, and youâre unable to stop it.
âWhatâs so funny, hm?â he scolds, moving his lips to your neck instead, to the exact spot he knows makes you weak in the knees. Like clockwork, he has to wrap an arm around your waist to keep you upright, your knees buckling when he bites down just so.
âNothing,â you manage through a moan, tipping your head back onto the wall. âShit.â
âYouâre ridiculous sometimes, you know,â he says, but heâs smiling against your skin. âCanât let me focus on work because you need me to fuck you.â
âIn my defense,â you try, your hands scrambling for his shoulders, for something to ground you. âYou didnât fuck me this morning.â
âI fucked you last night,â he reminds you, as if you needed the reminder. Itâs the reason you slept so soundly. âWas that not enough?â
You canât help it; you laugh.Â
He lifts his head, raising an eyebrow at you. The same question as before on his lips.
âSorry, I thought you were joking,â you say.Â
âYouâre insatiable.âÂ
âGuilty,â you grin, grabbing his face and pulling him back in for another kiss.
You make out against the wall for too long like two teenagers behind the bleachers at school. You hook one leg around his hips, pulling him in and grinding against his obvious erection. Itâs enough to have him groaning into your mouth, pressing you against the wall with renowned vigor.Â
You can feel how wet youâre becoming and fuck, neither of you have even taken a single article of clothing off yet.
Aaron notices, one hand traveling south without you paying attention, too busy relishing the way he licks into your mouth, stealing your every breath. The kissing becomes increasingly sloppy when he works his hand into your leggings, under the waistband of your underwear, and into you.
âOh my god,â your back arches against the wall, pushing his fingers deeper. He doesnât bother with one, starting right away with two, curling them when you grind harder.
âYouâre soaking my hand,â he practically growls into the next kiss, adding a third finger after only a few thrusts. Your body accepts it willingly, always ready for him. âJesus.â
âMore,â you gasp, pushing him deeper. âAaron, more, Iâm serious--â Your words break off as he scissors his fingers, making your eyes roll back instantly.
âI can feel you already,â he smirks against your cheek, pressing a kiss there, an action so sweet and gentle compared to what the rest of him is doing. âCome on, honey. Youâre cumming as many times as you want.â
That makes you inch closer to the edge at a frightening speed. He says you can cum as many times as you want, but what he means is heâs going to force as many orgasms out of you as he can. Until you tell him to stop or he decides you need a break.Â
The thought of being an overstimulated mess in his embrace later has you climaxing against his fingers, your head falling onto his shoulder as his movements never cease, milking every last wave out of you.Â
You lift your head in search of his lips again, which he willingly gives to you, his fingers slowing to soothing strokes as you whimper into his mouth. Youâve only had one orgasm and you already feel ruined. He can tell the way you tremble against him, so he checks in once more.
âGreen?â he whispers, kissing your forehead.
You nod. âGreen. You?â
He smirks. âAbsolutely.â
He picks you up into his arms, inelegantly tossing you onto the bed behind you. You giggle as you bounce on the mattress, tugging your shirt over your head as he does the same to his. His hands move for his belt and you practically jump to the end of the bed, swatting his hands away.
âSince when is that your job?â you frown up at him, unbuckling his belt without looking.
He laughs, petting your head gently. âSo sorry, youâre right.â
âWhat was that?â you tease. âI donât think I heard you.â
âDonât push it.â
âI have no idea what you mean,â you smirk, pulling his belt out of the loops and tossing it somewhere. You donât wait for him to reply before you unbutton his jeans, yanking them down with his boxers.
Thereâs just something about his dick. You hate that you love it, or maybe you donât hate it at all. All you know is you need it in your mouth right now.
So, you do that, without any warning. Aaron thrusts forward into your mouth on pure instinct, not expecting you to wrap your lips around him so soon. You slide down the edge of the bed onto your knees, pulling him back to you by his thighs.Â
You take your time, pushing his jeans and boxers down further. When you pull back for air, he steps out of them and kicks them elsewhere, returning to you quickly, knowing better than to keep you waiting.Â
You swallow him down again, moaning around him in the way you know he loves. It takes all of two seconds before he gently holds the back of your head, asking silently for permission that you were already about to grant. You look up at him, batting your eyelashes as you squeeze his thigh twice. Go ahead.
The thing about Aaron fucking your face is that it took a while for him to do it as hard as you really wanted. Heâs always so gentle, a quality that drew you to him initially. You love how gentle he can be. But you love it equally as much when he is rougher with you.
Like now, when he has you pinned against the bed, one hand on the back of your head as he fucks into your throat. Itâs blissful, quite frankly, the way he feels, and you thank the universe every time for your lack of a gag reflex.Â
He holds you there with a deep groan, and you feel him twitch in your throat once before he pulls you off entirely. You frown up at him, once again not getting what you wanted, but he doesnât have any time for that.
He picks you up by your armpits, hauling you back onto the bed. Your leggings and underwear are gone in a single second, along with your bra. Heâs crawling up your body and crowding your space before you have a second to protest that he wasnât down your throat for near as long as you wanted him to be.Â
All frustrations leave your mind the second he pushes inside of you, immediately sliding home, his hips flush against yours.Â
Itâs a feeling youâve grown to love, the way he hits you so deep. Another thing it took him a while to be comfortable doing.
Heâs not average sized by any means, and youâre the first to admit it made you salivate the first time you saw. The first time he fed himself into you and worried that he was hurting you, meanwhile you were clawing his back because you wanted more. It hurt for a moment, only an uncomfortable pressure because he was bigger than your vibrator, but as soon as you were used to the size of him, you wanted all of him.
He stays there, deep in you without moving for a moment, grinding against you. His lips attack yours again before he pauses to lean his forehead on yours, trying to catch his breath.
âYou drive me crazy,â he says on a shaky exhale.
You wrap your legs around him, thrusting your hips up to take him a little more. His hips stutter, pushing in the way you wanted him to, the way you know you can make him do involuntarily.
âFuck,â he bites out, turning his attention to your neck again.
You thread your fingers through his hair, tugging. âExactly. So why arenât you moving?â
He nips at your neck. âBecause if I move, I will cum right away.â
âWho said I only want you to cum inside me once?â
He groans again, fingers digging into your hips as you circle them, though he doesnât try to stop you. âGreedyâ is all he says, but he finally moves.
The thrusts are slow at first, Aaron clearly trying to pace himself. You canât say youâre doing the same, already chasing your second high as he slams his hips into yours. Your hand reaches down to rub your clit, but is promptly smacked away by Aaronâs hand as he glares at you.
âSince when is that your job?â he echoes you from earlier, only this time, thereâs more heat to it. He grabs both of your wrists, pinning them above your head to stop any other temptation. âNot this time.â
His thrusts pick up speed and depth, his body moving against yours in the exact way that makes you fall apart. Itâs not often that he doesnât let you cum from added clit stimulation -- not that you canât without it; it just makes the high feel that much better -- but sometimes he does. Itâs an ego trip for him as much as it is for you.
It also adds an unpredictable nature to it, which is why your second orgasm takes you by such surprise. You seize against him, your hands doing all sorts of squirming to try to break free of his grasp, but he doesnât let you, and he doesnât let up. You donât realize why until you feel the warmth spreading into you as he reaches his own peak.Â
Youâve clearly worked him up as much as you worked yourself up because his thrusts barely slow down, and he doesnât soften inside of you.Â
Instead, he pulls out only to flip you on your side, sliding in behind you and pulling your leg up and back over his hips. The action causes some of his cum to spill out of you, but you donât have any time to focus on that before he fucks back into you.Â
Youâve ceased to have any coherent thoughts as Aaron whispers dirty nothings into your ear, one arm wrapped around your body to keep you pinned against him. The pleasure doesnât stop and at one point, you question if your second orgasm stopped at all or if it has continued this entire time.
Aaron reaches underneath the pillow where he knows heâll find one of your vibrators because he heard you using it this morning. No, he didnât fuck you this morning, but you fucked yourself, and truly, at 8am, he shouldâve known youâd end up like this by eleven.Â
Your mind doesnât register what the sound means until the vibrator is pressed against your clit. Your body jerks, scrambling for some grounding, your hands finding it in wrapping them around his arm.Â
He switches hands on the vibrator, so one hand is free to wrap around your throat. Your eyes roll back as soon as you feel the gentle pressure, your body practically going limp against him.Â
âCome on, sweetheart,â he murmurs directly into your ear, his thrusts slowing to deep strokes. âYouâve got a couple more in you.â
âA couple?â is all you manage to say, your hand squeezing his wrist so he knows to squeeze your throat a little more.
âMhm,â his voice rumbles in your ear, sending goosebumps all over your body. âIs it too much?â His question is laced with just the right amount of pity that makes you shake your head against him. âI thought so,â he replies, switching the vibrator to a higher setting.
It sends you into your third orgasm instantly, squirming violently against him as he pushes into you deeper. He knows how much you love that, and loves how much you squeeze around him as he slides inside, fighting against your muscles that threaten to force him out. Youâve done it before, a mesmerized look on his face and yours when you both realized what happened. Since then, you told him you liked it more when he fought to stay inside.Â
He takes the vibrator away as you calm down, his hips also pausing, keeping himself deep inside you. The pressure is soothing, and you take a moment to take a deep breath. His palm falls away from your throat, instead propping underneath your cheek.
It takes a few seconds before you feel yourself spasming around him. He chuckles against your back, pressing a kiss to your neck. âStill?â
You nod dumbly, rocking your hips again. âYeah. I donât know, I just-- Need more.â
âIâve got you,â he soothes, pulling out again to roll you onto your stomach instead, one of your favorite positions.
Youâre floating as you settle into the pillows, letting Aaron manhandle you wherever you need to be. You groan in your happy, blissed out state as he slides home again, draping himself over your back.
He is gentler now, knowing thatâs exactly what you need at this point. The last orgasm he pulls from you is just as gentle, and he pushes deeper into you, letting you ride it out.Â
He pulls your hips up and thrusts once, twice before heâs spilling into you. You didnât realize he was that close again. The warmth is soothing this time as it spreads through you.Â
Aaron leaves you only to settle behind you, spooning you once again. Your hand reaches behind you to find him, and he catches your wrist.Â
âYou need to rest,â he chides softly.
âI know,â you whimper. âNeed you inside me.â
âOkay, okay,â he murmurs, pressing a kiss to your neck as he slides in again, still half-hard, but itâs enough. You settle down as soon as the weight of him is tucked inside you again. âBetter?â
âMhm,â you sleepily nod, pushing back into him so he holds you tighter. âDo you have to go back to work?â
He chuckles against you, sighing. âNo, Iâm done for the day, I think,â he says. âIâll tell them you werenât feeling well.â
That makes you laugh. âWe need a better excuse.â
âOr I need to go back to working in the office.â
You roll your eyes. âLike thatâll make a difference.â
He shakes his head, his mind remembering the same memories that you are. The many lunch hours when you went to eat with him, and ended up with your back pressed into the couch, his tie stuffed in your mouth to keep you quiet.
âGo to sleep,â he says, pulling you impossibly closer. âIâll make us lunch when we wake up.â
âPerfect,â you smile, nuzzling into him. âLove you.â
âLove you too, honey,â he says, pressing little kisses to your neck and cheeks, wherever he can reach. âNow sleep.â
Youâre already halfway there. The combination of him nestled inside of you and the post-orgasm exhaustion is enough to lull you into a restful sleep.

â DEFINITELY NOT MY CROWD.
pairing. frat!jungwon x shy!fem!reader
genre. romcom, american college au, strangers to enemies to lovers (bye??), angst, fluff, mature
synopsis. when your friend drags you out to a frat party a week before the holidays, you didnât expect to fall into the graces of yang jungwon, one of the fraternity boys at your university. One accidental kiss with Yang Jungwon and a viral post later, you wake up to a text from your sister: âBring your new boyfriend to Christmas dinner!â Now, youâve got one week to turn this chaos into a holiday miracleâor a romcom disaster.
âHey, wake up.â
Madeleine taps on your shoulder, and when you only respond with a mhmm, she takes both shoulders and shakes you violently.
âWhat the hell Mads!â You say, getting up in a hurry. âWhat can you possibly need now?â
âOh shut up, youâre making it sound like you despise me.â She throws an arm around your shoulder. âWill you come with me to Lucaâs party?â
âYou know I donât do frat parties.â You say, already brushing off her suggestion. âTheyâre just loud and people make out in every corner.â
âBut you never go out!â Madeleine slumps her body against yours, practically trapping you on your own bed. âPlease.â
âMads I love you, but no.â
Except here you were, in front of Alpha Delta somethingâwas it Alpha Delta Pi? You didnât know.
All you knew was that the music was way too loud for it not to have a noise complaint from the neighboring houses, and that there were too many drunk college students stumbling everywhere on the grass out front.
âIâm soooo glad we decided to do this!â Madeleine swings her arms around your shoulder, leading you inside the gigantic frat house.
âMadeleine!â A guy comes up to the two of you, his cheeky smile never leaving his face. âAnd whoâs this?â
âY/N, my roommate I told you about!â Madeleine smiles at you, âyou remember Will right? From Econ?â
Will. Will. Youâre trying so hard to remember him, until you realize heâs the blonde in front of you, his hockey gear always taking up half of the space.
âThis is my girlfriend, Kallie!â Will puts his arm around the girl next to him. âWell itâs nice seeing you Madeleine and Y/N, have a good night!â
Even though he was notoriously loud in class, he was a bit of a sweetheart, and it made you feel a bit better about being here.
âSee, that wasnât so bad right?â
You nod, letting her guide you throughout the house to the kitchen.
âDo you want Pink Whitney or Tequila?â
You decided on Pink Whitney.
âOh shitâIâm so sorry.â The guy who bumps into you turns around, his pupils dilated and red. Heâs clearly very drunk.
âItâs fine.â
âIâm Jungwon!â He smiles at you brightly, dimples showing ever so proudly.
It seemed like everybody at this party was all about smiling tonight.
âOh Won! Youâre here!â Madeleine slides you your shot, and you down it in one go, silently cursing yourself for not taking a chaser beforehand.
âYep, kinda have to because this is my frat.â
Now that heâs not stumbling over his own foot, you come to realize heâs actually pretty cute. His brown hair is messy and heâs wearing some plain navy blue hoodie that makes him look more attractive than he actually should be.
âThis is Y/N, my roommate!â
Jungwon slips his hand into yours, shaking it in a hurry. âNice to meet you Y/N, wish it was under better circumstances.â
His joke earns a playful shove from Madeleine, who raises her eyebrows at you, already hinting that you should talk to the boy.
âWell I gotta go talk to Luca, catch you two later!â
You donât have time to pull Madeleine back because sheâs already gone, leaving you alone with Jungwon.
âHey.â He says, now suddenly closer to you. âWanna kiss?â
Itâs a straightforward almost humorous ask, one that a stranger whoâs just known you for five minutes shouldnât ask. But because the alcohol already entered your system and you have nothing better to do; you nod.
Jungwon leaves no time for you to take a breath before sweeping in, closing the gap between yours and his mouth. You can hear hoots from his frat brothers as the kiss grows more intense.
Youâre sure youâve become the very same people that you used to make fun ofâthe ones who would make out at the corner of parties and act like they had no decency or self respect.
But who cares, right? This was the one time you were out, and finals had been stressing you like a pounding headache, why would a kiss from some random frat guy affect you after the party?
You were clearly very wrong.
-
The next day, youâre awaken to your annoying alarm clock, groaning as you tap aggressively on the snooze button.
âOh shit,â you say, feeling lightheaded when you try to get up. âWhat time is it?â
From the corner of your eye, you can see Madeleineâs blonde hair spread out on every part of her bed, her limbs tangled in her blankets.
You try to rub your eyes as you reach for your phone, and when your vision clears, the first thing you do is let out a shrilling scream.
âWHAT THE FUCK?â
âWhat? Whatâs wrong?â Madeleineâs head pops up, her hair messy and all over her face.
Madeleine stares at you groggily as you toss your phone at her. She fumbles to catch it, squinting at the screen before her eyes widen.
She slaps a hand over her mouth, though the giggles that escape are anything but subtle.
"Why is there a video of me kissing Jungwon everywhere?!" You groan, flopping back on your bed as the stress headache from finals makes a sudden comeback.
"It's not just a video," Madeleine says, scrolling furiously. "You and Jungwon are, like, the new talk of the frat. You know how frat boys are like. The sorority girls might even be jealous."
"I'm going to die," you mutter into your pillow.
"You are not going to die, Y/N."
You groan, yanking the pillow off your face just as your phone vibrates again. Madeleine hands it back to you, grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
You don't even have to check the screen to know who's texted you. You sigh and unlock it.
[annoying older sis]: Bring your new boyfriend to Christmas dinner. Iâm serious. Momâs already setting the table for him.
You sit up so fast you almost get whiplash.
"No. Nope. No way. This cannot be happening." You turn to Madeleine, holding your phone out like itâs cursed. "My family thinks Jungwonâs my boyfriend. What am I supposed to do now?!"
"Bring him!" Madeleine chirps, far too enthusiastic for this godforsaken situation.
"Are you insane? I barely know him! Heâs probably already forgotten who I am."
As if the universe is mocking you, your phone buzzes again.
[Unknown Number]: Hey, itâs Jungwon. Can we talk?
You stare at the screen, heat rushing to your face.
"Is that him?" Madeleine practically screeches, leaning over to read the text. "Oh my god, Y/N, heâs texting you first. This is fate!"
"Shut up!" you hiss, pushing her away as you type back:
Sure. Where?
The response is almost instant.
[Jungwon]: Can you meet me at the campus cafĂŠ in an hour?
Madeleine screeches in excitement yet again.
-
An hour later, youâre already regretting your life choices as you walk into the cafĂŠ, spotting Jungwon sitting at a table near the window. His hoodie from last night is gone, replaced with a clean black sweater that somehow makes him look even more attractive.
When he sees you, he grins, those stupid dimples making your stomach flip for reasons you refuse to acknowledge.
"Hey," he says as you sit down across from him, awkwardly tucking your hair behind your ear.
"Hey," you reply, wondering if itâs possible to combust from secondhand embarrassment.
"So, uhâŚ" Jungwon rubs the back of his neck, looking almost as nervous as you feel. "About last nightâŚ"
You brace yourself for him to tell you he doesnât want anything to do with you, that the kiss was a mistake, and you should forget it ever happened.
But then he says: "I wanted to apologize. I donât usually, like, kiss random strangers at parties. I was kinda drunk, and I just⌠yeah, sorry if I made you uncomfortable."
You blink, caught off guard by how genuine he sounds. "Oh, um, itâs okay. I mean, it wasnât terrible or anything."
Jungwon raises an eyebrow, his lips twitching like heâs trying not to laugh. "Wow. 'Not terrible.' High praise."
You groan, covering your face with your hands. "Sorry. Iâm awkward and shy and bad at this."
"I noticed," he says with a chuckle.
When you peek through your fingers, you find him smiling softly at you, his eyes warm and kind.
"Anyway," you say quickly, dropping your hands. "Iâm sure youâve seen the video by now."
"Yeah," he admits, rubbing the back of his neck again. "Thatâs actually why I wanted to talk to you. People are, uh, kinda freaking out about it. And my fraternity brothers keep calling you my girlfriend."
"Funny you should mention that," you say with a dry laugh. "My family thinks youâre my boyfriend too. My sister wants me to bring you to Christmas dinner."
His eyes widen. "Wait, seriously?"
"Yeah. And I donât know how to tell them the truth without ruining Christmas, so I was thinkingâŚ"
"You want me to pretend to be your boyfriend?" he finishes, tilting his head.
"Just for a week!" you say quickly, holding up your hands. "We get through Christmas, and then we go our separate ways. No one has to know it wasnât real."
Jungwon looks at you for a long moment, his expression unreadable.
Finally, he says, "Okay. Iâll do it."
You blink. "Wait, really?"
"Sure," he says with a shrug. "It sounds kinda fun. And honestlyâŚ" He leans forward, his voice dropping to a soft, almost teasing tone. "I need to get out of my frat house. They have yet to let me live down this moment."
Your face flushes, and you look away, muttering, "Frat guys are ridiculous."
"Maybe," he says, grinning.
This was going to be a disaster. You could already feel it.
-
The rest of the week feels like a blur of planning. Between texting Jungwon to coordinate your "backstory" and surviving Madeleineâs endless teasing, you barely have time to process whatâs happening.
"How do we even explain how we met?" you ask Jungwon during one of your brainstorming sessions at the campus library.
"We could just tell the truth," he says, leaning back in his chair. "That we kissed at a party."
You give him a look. "Do you want my family to hate you?"
"Fair point," he laughs. "Okay, how about we say we met through Madeleine and just⌠hit it off?"
"Sounds fake but okay."
You decide to meet again the next day after class to properly establish some backstory for your "relationship." Jungwon shows up late, looking like he just rolled out of bed.
"Nice of you to show up," you say sarcastically, already in a foul mood from a pop quiz from your professor.
"Sorry, I was busy," he says, completely unbothered.
"Doing what? Beer pong practice?"
"Actually, yes," he says, grinning. "Gotta keep the skills sharp."
You groan. "Unbelievable. How am I supposed to convince my family youâre my boyfriend when youâre this⌠this frat boy?"
"Hey, being a frat boy isnât a personality flaw," he says, feigning offense. "Besides, youâre the one who dragged me into this. If you wanted someone polished, you shouldâve asked that guy from your bio classâwhatâs his name? Eric?"
"First of all, Eric has a girlfriend," you retort. "Second, I didnât drag you into this. Madeleine did."
"Same difference," he says with a shrug.
You glare at him, but he just smiles, annoyingly relaxed.
This was going to be a long week.
-
You figure a visit to the Christmas market downtown might help you get some convincing couple photos. But of course, Jungwon treats the whole thing like a joke.
"Hold still," you say, holding up your phone.
Jungwon drapes an arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer than necessary. "Come on, you gotta sell it, Y/N. Look like youâre in love with me."
You shove his arm off. "I canât do that when youâre being this insufferable."
"Insufferable?" he repeats, feigning offense. "You wound me."
"Youâll live," you mutter, snapping a photo.
He peers over your shoulder at the screen. "Thatâs terrible. Here, let me."
Before you can protest, he takes your phone, tilts his head toward yours, and snaps a selfie. To your annoyance, it actually looks good.
"There," he says, handing the phone back to you. "Youâre welcome."
You stare at the photo, trying not to notice how natural the two of you look together. "Youâre so annoying."
"And yet, here we are," he says with a grin.
âWhatever.â

"Why do we need so much food?" Jungwon complains, trailing behind you as you push a cart through the grocery store.
"Because my family eats a lot," you say, scanning the shelves for the specific brand of cranberry sauce your mom insists on.
He picks up a box of gingerbread cookies and examines it. "Why donât we just bring these? No oneâs gonna care."
"Are you serious?" you ask, snatching the box out of his hands. "Weâre not showing up with store-bought cookies. My mom would have a heart attack."
"Wow," he says, leaning against the cart. "Youâre really committed to this whole 'perfect daughter' thing, huh?"
You glare at him. "Unlike you, I actually care what my family thinks."
"TouchĂŠ," he says, holding up his hands in surrender. "But for the record, I think your mom would survive."
You ignore him and toss the cookies back on the shelf.
Later that night, after spending hours wrapping presents, you find Jungwon lounging on the couch in your apartment, scrolling through his phone.
"Do you ever do anything productive?" you ask, flopping down next to him.
"Define 'productive,'" he says without looking up.
"I donât know. Something that doesnât involve your phone or beer pong."
He smirks. "Youâre obsessed with beer pong. Did someone beat you at it once or something?"
"No," you say defensively. "I just think itâs a ridiculous way to spend your time."
"Noted," he says, finally putting his phone down. "So what do you do for fun, Miss Holier-Than-Thou?"
"I read. I bake. I actually contribute to society," you say with a smug smile.
"Wow. Thrilling," he says, but thereâs a teasing glint in his eye.
You roll your eyes, but before you can respond, he leans his head back against the couch and lets out a deep sigh.
"Okay, seriously, though," he says. "Are you nervous about tomorrow?"
"A little," you admit. "My family can be⌠a lot."
"Iâll survive," he says, turning to look at you. "But what about you? Are you gonna be okay?"
The sincerity in his voice catches you off guard. For once, heâs not teasing or joking. Heâs just⌠Jungwon.
"Yeah," you say softly. "I think so."
"Good," he says, smiling at you. "Because no matter how terrible this dinner is, Iâve got your back."
And just like that, the walls youâve been trying so hard to keep up start to crack.
-
By the time Christmas Eve rolls around, youâre a ball of nerves. Jungwon picks you up in his car, looking annoyingly calm and way too good in a dark green sweater and tailored coat.
"You ready?" he asks as you slide into the passenger seat.
"Absolutely not," you reply, clutching the tin of cookies you baked as a distraction the night before.
"Youâll be fine," he says, flashing you that same dimpled smile thatâs starting to become your undoing.
The moment you walk through your parentsâ front door, youâre greeted by your sister, Addison.
"There she is!" Addison exclaims, pulling you into a tight hug that feels more like a performance for whoever might be watching. "And this must be Jungwon!"
Jungwon smiles politely, shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you."
Addison looks him up and down, her perfectly manicured nails tapping against her champagne glass. "Wow. Y/N really outdid herself this time."
You resist the urge to roll your eyes. Your older sister has always had a way of making everything about her, even when itâs not supposed to be.
"Whereâs Mom?" you ask, desperate to change the subject.
"In the kitchen,"s she says, waving a dismissive hand. "But donât worry about that. We need to get a picture of the happy couple for Instagram."
Before you can protest, Addison drags you and Jungwon to the living room, posing you in front of the tree like a pair of dolls.
"Smile!" she says, her phone already snapping away.
Jungwon leans in closer, his arm sliding around your waist like itâs the most natural thing in the world. You stiffen for a moment before forcing a smile, trying not to think about how warm he feels.
"Perfect," Addison says, scrolling through the photos with a self-satisfied smirk.
Dinner is somehow both better and worse than you expected.
Your mom keeps asking Jungwon about his family, his major, and his plans after graduation, while your dad mostly nods approvingly between bites of turkey.
Your sister, however, spends the entire meal subtly (and not-so-subtly) comparing everything youâve ever done to her own achievements.
"Oh, youâre studying business, Jungwon? Thatâs cute. My fiancĂŠ, Ryan, just got promoted to VP at his firm," she says with a laugh that grates on your nerves.
"Thatâs impressive," Jungwon says politely, but you can tell heâs unimpressed.
"And Y/N," Addison continues, turning her attention to you. "Itâs so nice to see you with someone. I was starting to think youâd be single forever."
The table goes silent. Your mom tries to awkwardly steer the conversation elsewhere, but the damage is done. You feel your cheeks burn, and you suddenly lose your appetite.
After dinner, you excuse yourself, slipping out onto the back porch to get some air. The cold bites at your skin, but you donât care. You just need a moment to breathe.
Youâre staring at the snow-covered yard when the door creaks open behind you.
"Hey," Jungwon says softly, stepping outside. He shrugs off his coat and drapes it over your shoulders before you can protest.
"Thanks," you mumble, pulling the coat tighter around you.
"You okay?" he asks, leaning against the railing beside you.
"Iâm fine," you lie, though your voice cracks on the last word.
Jungwon gives you a look, the kind that makes you feel like he can see right through you.
"She always does this," you admit, your voice barely above a whisper. "Addison. The perfect sister who has to be better at everything."
"Youâre not supposed to do that, you know," he says lightly, gesturing towards your cigarette.
You roll your eyes and lean against the railing, lighting it with a practiced flick of your lighter. "I donât. I barely smoke. But, you know, desperate timesâŚ"
Jungwon chuckles, his breath fogging in the cold air. "I get it."
You exhale, the smoke curls around you, rising into the frosty night. "She just knows how to get under my skin. Itâs like sheâs made a career out of it."
Jungwon leans next to you, resting his elbows on the railing. "I donât know. Sounds like sheâs just jealous."
You laugh humorlessly. "Of what?"
"Of you," he says simply.
You blink at him, caught off guard. "Are you serious?"
"Completely." He reaches over and plucks the cigarette from your fingers, taking an awkward, experimental puff before immediately coughing.
You burst out laughing as he doubles over, waving a hand in front of his face. "Whatâwhat are you doing?"
"Trying to figure out what the big deal is," he says between coughs, his cheeks turning pinkâthough whether itâs from the cold or his failed attempt at smoking, youâre not sure.
"You donât have to join me, you know," you tease, taking it back from him.
He straightens up, giving you a sheepish grin. "I just wanted to see what you like about it."
"Itâs not about liking it," you admit, tapping the ash against the railing. "Itâs moreâI donât know. It gives me something to do when I feel like falling apart."
Jungwon is quiet for a moment, watching the snow-covered yard below. Then he says, "You donât need this."
You glance at him, surprised by the softness in his tone.
"You could just⌠talk to me instead,â he says, his eyes meeting yours.
Your heart does that annoying flip thing again, and you quickly look away. "Talking doesnât solve everything, you know."
"No, but it helps." He pauses, then adds with a teasing smile, "And itâs probably better for your lungs."
You roll your eyes but canât help smiling. "Fine. Next time, Iâll talk to you."
"Good."
The two of you fall into a comfortable silence, the kind that feels rare and precious. The cigarette burns down to a stub, and you flick it into the snow, watching the ember fade out.
His presence is warm and steady, and for the first time in what feels like forever, you donât feel so overwhelmed.
"Thanks." You say softly. "For agreeing to this. I don't even know what I was thinking suggesting it. Addison just texted me and I freaked. I guess there was always a part of me that wanted to impress her."
Jungwon hesitates for a moment, then says, "You know, you donât give yourself enough credit."
You glance at him, frowning. "What do you mean?"
"I meanâyou let people like Addison make you feel small, but youâre not. Youâre kind, and funny, and you care about people. Thatâs more than most people can say."
You stare at him, your throat tightening. "Why are you saying this?"
"Because itâs true," he says, his voice soft but certain.
You shake your head, looking down at your hands. "You donât even know me that well."
"I know enough," he says.
Thereâs a long pause, and then, almost too quietly to hear, he adds, "I love you."
Your head snaps up, your heart pounding in your chest. "What?"
"I love you," he repeats, looking right at you.
"Youâre insane." You say, voice barely above a whisper. "Youâve known me for a week. I'm awkward and I wouldn't make a good girlfriend. You'd be ashamed of me, you know."
"I love you, Y/N."
You're not too sure what to say, not expecting him to stand his ground so firmly.
"I didnât expect this to happen. I thought this would just be some silly, fake thing. I donât care if you think youâre awkward or shy or anything else. I love you exactly the way you are."
You take a shaky breath, your chest tight with emotions you donât know how to name.
"I donât know what to say," you admit.
"You donât have to say anything," he says gently.
You nod, your heart still racing as he steps back inside, leaving you alone with the snow and the stars and the weight of his words.
For a moment, all you can do is stare at him, his cheeks pink from the cold, his eyes full of warmth and sincerity.
And then, before you can overthink it, you rise on your tiptoes and kiss him.
This time, itâs not for show. Itâs not for anyone else.
Itâs just for you.

Iâll Take Care Of You
Pairing: Lando Norris x reader
Warnings: sick Lando, smut
You weren't supposed to show up at the Las Vegas GP because you had your own business commitments, but knowing the state Lando was in, you decided to drop everything and come with him. You knew he needed you there and there wasn't a second of doubt in your mind whether or not to go with him when you saw how sick he really was.
After Brazil, Lando was not feeling well mentally. He couldn't sleep, he wouldn't eat or drink, his mood was at zero and all of this affected his immune system which resulted in him falling ill just before the Vegas GP.
Your heart ached seeing him like this because you knew there was nothing you could do except be there for him until he got through it. The only good thing about all of this was taking the pressure of being a world champion off his shoulders until next season at least.
Before the Vegas race, Lando could barely function, to be honest. His nose was blocked, his head was pounding, and he could barely hear in one ear.
As you closely followed the race in the garage, it no longer mattered to you which place he would take, you just prayed that he would finish the race safely and successfully so you can get him out of there.
So once the race was finally over, you were relieved, and so was he. When he got out of the car and took his helmet and balaclava off his head, he immediately looked for you with his eyes.
"Baby.." You looked at him sadly, approaching him and extending your arms towards him. "Are you alright?"
"Hey, love" His head fell onto your shoulder as he buried his face in your neck, pulling you closer to him. "I feel so sick" He sighed quietly and you immediately put your palm against his forehead to check his temperature.
"Lan, you're burning"
He was exhausted, so tired he could barely keep his eyes open and head up. He desperately needed to rest and all you wanted was to get out of there as soon as possible.
"Go get changed and we're going to the hotel, okay?" You tell him.
"No, I don't wanna go to the hotel, I wanna go home." He says.
"Lan, you can't get on a plane like this. You need to get some rest first and then we're gonna go home"
"No, please baby, I just wanna go to our home, please. I really need it. I know I'll feel better as soon as we get home." He whines. You sigh for a moment just looking at him as you ponder if this really is a smart decision. "Please" His eyes plead and you finally agree.
He was clinging to you the entire flight, holding his head in your lap and trying to sleep. He still had a fever so you improvised compresses to put over his forehead.
Lando wasn't sick often, but once in a while when he caught a cold, it would wipe him out. It was the same this time. He was bedridden for a week, and you were there every day taking care of him. He wasn't even exaggerating, he was really sick and you were worried he would get dehydrated or his condition would get worse. You even wanted to take him to the emergency room, but he promised he was fine and just needed you by his side.
Once he finally felt well enough to get out of bed and go further than the bathroom, you felt a pair of arms hug you around your waist as you prepared lunch in the kitchen.
"Hey, baby" Your eyes lit up when you saw him.
"Hey" He smiled nuzzling his head into your neck and leaving a kiss.
"Are you feeling any better?" You asked.
"Mhm. My throat is still a little sore, but I feel much better." He says in a hoarse voice.
"Well, good then." You rise on your tiptoes to leave a kiss on his cheek. "You have no idea how happy that makes me. You really got me worried."
"Thank you for taking care of me" He smiles putting your face between his hands.
"You don't need to thank me for that. I enjoy doing it."
"I know, but that's my job - to take care of you and me."
"You know how they say, 'in sickness and in health'." You both laugh considering you're not even engaged yet, let alone married even though people around you keep asking you about it all the time.
"Do I hear the wedding bells?" Lando asks.
"I don't know, do you?"
"I think I do." He smirks biting his lip before pressing his lips against yours knowing it's only a matter of time before he proposes to you.
Although he felt better physically, he still hadn't mentally recovered from the 'defeat', even though he didn't want to admit it. But it gave him away when you looked for him on his side of the bed in your sleep and couldn't find him.
You squinted at your phone to see what time it was and when it showed 2 a.m. you found it strange that he wasn't there because he usually sleeps all night.
You headed straight for the living room where you found him on the couch in front of the TV. He was lying down in his boxers, watching TV, but his gaze was thoughtful and you knew something was bothering him.
"Lan?"
"Baby, what are you doing awake?" He asks extending his arm for you to lie down next to him.
"I have the same question for you." You say taking a place next to him and leaning your head against his chest.
"Couldn't sleep, I was tossing and turning the whole time. I got up so I wouldn't wake you up."
"And why couldn't you sleep?" You ask, but he stays silent. "Baby, what's bothering you? Talk to me, please."
"You already know what it is" He sighs tracing his fingers over your shoulder. "But I don't wanna talk about it anymore. I really don't, I just need to get through it."
"Is there anything I can do about it?"
"You're here with me. That's all I need." He says placing a kiss to your forehead.
But you were determined to do something, anything, to make him feel at least a little better. And what's better than satisfying him to relieve him of frustration and tension.
Besides, it's been over two weeks since the last time you fucked. You'd be lying if you said you didn't need him in the same way and you thought tonight was the perfect opportunity for both of you so you straddled him and started kissing him gently.
He gave in to the kiss, not yet realizing what you were up to. It was only when you slowly started grinding your hips against him that he smiled into the kiss.
"What's on your mind, baby?" He asked gripping your hips.
"Just wanna make you feel better" You said moving your lips to his neck. He moaned throwing his head back and you felt him starting to get hard underneath you.
You soon positioned yourself between his legs and pulled his boxers down. He quickly got rid of them, throwing them aside, and you began to kiss him around his length.
"Wanna please you" You said between kisses.
He took his cock in his hand and tapped it against your lips. You stuck out your tongue and licked his tip making him groan in response. You teased him by slowly licking him up and down and he was starting to get impatient.
"Baby, please" He whispered stroking himself against your lips.
"Please, what, Lan?" You asked innocently, stopping his hand and cupping his balls.
"Put it in your mouth"
His breath catches as your lips finally wrap around his cock. He collects your hair into a ponytail and tilts his head to get a better look at you taking him all the way in.
You keep taking him deeper and deeper until his tip hit the back of your throat and you gag around him.
"Oh fuck.." He moans while his fingers keep raking and twirling in your hair. Your hand soon replaces your mouth as you spit on his tip and stroke him up and down. You don't want him to cum this way, you want him to cum inside you and you know he's close so you straddle him again guiding his cock to your entrance.
"Fuck, baby, fuck" His hands are pulling your night dress up to reveal your ass and grab it. He lets out a low groan as you slowly sink down on him. Leaning back, he shifts his hips up to adjust how he's sitting.
"You feel so good, so big inside of me" You whine as your rock your hips back and forth.
"Yeah?" His eyes are stuck on you as he grips your hips tighter and presses his lips against your neck.
"Stretching me out so good, Lan, shit" You make special effort to compliment him tonight as you keep on riding him quickening your pace.
He grips your ass tighter pulling you down harder on him. His breath is ragged in your ear and it makes you take him deeper and harder needing him to lose control. And you know what's coming next when you feel him twitch inside you.
"I'm cumming" He chokes out triggering your own orgasm. You clench around him as he fills you up biting his teeth into your skin.
He hugged you tightly, kissing your forehead while you lay leaning against his chest, barely catching your breath from the sweet release you both needed so desperately.
"I love you" He whispers. "I love you more than anything"

a/n: so...i'm technically not doing anything official for kinktober this year because school is kicking my butt already BUT i have a few ideas for some very filthy smut fics so i'll be posting them this month. i haven't written for wandanat in a minute so i hope i did them justice. please let me know your thoughts, i hope you enjoy <3
* * * * * * *
It was supposed to be a one time thing.
That's what you told Wanda when she pushed you against the farthest wall in some dingy, badly-lit, New York bar.
The two of you had come back from a long, draining, mission and, instead of staying at the Compound and actually resting, you decided to go out and get drunk to let off some steam. The mission had technically been a success, but it had also been a pain in the ass...and in the shoulder, thanks to the knife wound you'd received.
So, yeah, maybe going out wasn't the best idea in the first place.
In your defense, it was borderline impossible to say no to the witch. Mainly because she was very convincing when she wanted to be, but also because of your massive, and borderline ridiculous, crush on her.
To make matters worse, Wanda was pissed off at Natasha for...something and you ended up taking the place of a supportive partner.
It would have been fine had the drinks in your system not made your inhibitions lower significantly, which rendered you helpless against the green-eyed woman of your dreams. Then again, it's not like you were particularly against that idea in the first place.
Maybe that made you a horrible person.
Maybe that made Wanda a monster.
But how could she be one when she whispered the sweetest words in your ear while taking you over the edge and destroying you in the most pleasurable of ways? How could there be anything wrong about her soft caresses and gentle smiles?
A part of you knows the answer. It's wrong because the witch's heart isn't yours. Or worse, because someone else's heart belongs to the witch.
Because for all their problems and arguments, Wanda and Natasha love each other. At the very least, they tolerate each other enough to stay together.
And you don't fit into their relationship.
You shouldn't.
But Wanda isn't a person you can just ignore.
She makes that perfectly clear no less than a week after your little "mistake".
You're in the kitchen at the Compound, eating some leftovers and scrolling through your phone to keep yourself occupied, when Wanda walks in. You don't need to look at her to know she's pissed off. Her energy is way too heavy to mean anything else.
"Hey, Wands," you say, barely looking up from your phone out of fear of falling under her spell once more.
She walks over to you, leaning against the counter and silently watching you for a second. Her silence honestly scares you, but you don't question her yet. You know better than that.
"You've been avoiding me," she says, her voice soft yet not gentle. "Why is that?"
A shiver runs down your spine at the question.Â
You know you can't lie to her, she's a freaking mind reader, but you can't exactly tell her the truth. You've both been trying to ignore it since the morning you woke up tangled together in her bed.
A bed she shares with someone who isn't you.
"I've been busy," you reply with a shrug. "Kate's been forcing me to train every day."
Clearly, that's the wrong answer, considering the tilt of her head.
Yup. You're fucked now.
"Is that so? I didn't realize you two were such good...friends."
Wanda pushes herself off the counter, taking slow, calculated, steps until she's standing behind you. If you weren't so focused on keeping your voice steady, you might have been able to guess what her plan in.
"Well, we both love annoying Clint and making Yelena mad."
She hums in response as her arms wrap themselves around you, pulling you back until you're firmly pressed against her.Â
The action almost makes you fall off your stool. You somehow stay put, though, even as every fiber of your being tells you to leave. The harsh truth is that you don't want to leave.
You want her so badly that the consequences don't seem to matter.
Nothing matters but her.
Which is exactly what she wants.
"You should be careful with the little archer," she says, her hands not so subtly caressing your sides. "You know she's just going to use you then throw you away when she's bored."
The irony in her words isn't lost on you.
You open your mouth to let her know that when her hands move up and brush against your chest. It takes all your willpower to stop yourself from gasping.
"Wanda," you hiss. "We're in the middle of the kitchen."
"Relax, detka," she whispers into your ear, your body instantly obeying her words. "You know I won't let anyone see."
"Do I?" you reply. "Because it seems exactly like something you'd enjoy."
The witch chuckles despite herself. "That's true but you're not the only trying to keep things a secret."
You know her words should make you feel worse about this whole thing but right now, they only serve to turn you on. As messed up as it is, there's something exciting about the situation.Â
About how much Wanda wants you.
So, even though you know you should push her away, you lean back against her, allowing her hands to explore your body however she wishes.
Your obedience (if you can even call it that) is instantly rewarded by the other woman. Her hands sneak their way under your shirt, her fingers drawing teasing shapes on your warm skin as she makes the journey upward.
"You're such a good girl for me, baby," she mumbles almost absent-mindedly. "Letting me use you like this. Letting me play with you whenever I want."
A part of you wants to put up a fight. To show her you have a bigger backbone than she realizes. That you're able to switch the tables on her whenever you want.
Unfortunately, that part of you goes quiet the second her fingers find your nipples. "Look at you, all ready for me, huh?"
"Shut up," you mumble as your cheeks heat up.
Your words of defiance earn you a sharp pinch to your already sensitive nipples. "Watch your mouth, sweetheart."
It's impossible to stop your back from arching as the leftover sting rushes through your system. You'd learned the hard way that Wanda could either be the sweetest or the most unforgivable lover. In a way, it made being with her all the more exciting...and unpredictable.
Then again, you can't pretend you don't like it. If you didn't, you would have never gotten mixed up with her in the first place.
"Sorry," you whisper, not sounding particularly sincere.
If Wanda notices, she doesn't point it out and instead goes right back to playing with your chest, squeezing and pinching your nipples as she pleases.
Her actions only serve to make you more and more desperate for her. It's almost embarrassing how good she is at reading you. At knowing exactly what buttons to push to turn you into a shaking, pleading mess.
A part of you knows it's thanks to her powers that she can read your desires so well, but you ignore the thought for now. You could beat yourself up over all this later, right now, you had a very important task ahead of you.
"You're eager today," she teases, her eyes zeroing in on the slight movement of your hips. "Did you miss me that much?"
You're not sure why you're in such a defiant mood today but your mouth moves way faster than your thoughts. "Yeah, Kate was too busy today."
You don't see the scarlet that begins to overtake her eyes since you have your back to her. You miss the warning signs until she uses her magic to bend you over the counter, keeping your hands behind your back.
"You're going to regret talking to me like that," she says, holding you down easily thanks to her magic.
It's obvious you should apologize and yet you remain as composed as you possibly can given the situation. As stupid as it is, you're still mad at her for putting you in this situation.
Out of the two of you, she was the one who was in the wrong. She was the one fucking up her relationship just because she was upset with her girlfriend. And she had the audacity to pull you down with her.
To make you like it.
You couldn't place all the blame on her and yet you did it anyway. As if that would somehow fix the entire situation.
Her hand comes down on your ass before you can make your predicament worse. The sudden sensation makes you jump, the leftover sting taking over your mind.
"Wanda." Your attempt to sound mad falls completely flat since your voice is far too breathless for it to be convincing.
She spanks you again. Once. Twice. Each time striking both harder and faster.
"Try again, detka," she tells you, her voice unforgiving. "And then maybe, I'll go easy on you."
She won't.
You know she won't. But the idea that she could is more than tantalizing enough.
Although, then again, it wasn't like you didn't enjoy calling her by her beloved title.
"Mommy," you whisper, your voice sounding way too loud in the empty kitchen.
You don't need to be looking at her to see the proud grin that takes over her features.
This is the real reason why she wants you. Why she likes being with you. Because she doesn't need to fight you to get you to submit to her every whim.
"Good girl." Wanda's hands toy with the waistband of your pants. "Tell me what you want."
You allow the silence to drag on for a second longer than necessary. You both know you won't deny her, you can't, but that doesn't mean you can't keep her guessing.Â
Maybe then she'll grow tired of you and stop using you so carelessly.
"Want you to touch me...please, mommy."
You half expect her to drag the moment out until you can't hold yourself back from begging for more. For her.
She doesn't, though, because unbeknownst to you, she's playing a different kind of game with you today.
Wanda uses her powers to undress you, barely giving you a second to register just how vulnerable she's leaving you. You know no one will walk in on you two, she promised you that much, but that doesn't make it any less scary...and thrilling.
"Look at you," she coos, her fingers spreading your slick folds. "So wet and I've barely even touched you. Such a needy thing, aren't you, sweetheart?"
It's embarrassing how hard your walls clench around pure air from the mere tone of her voice. It's that intoxicating mix between degrading and sweet that you want everything she's willing to give you.
"Yes, mommy," you whimper.
"Oh, I know," she says, pushing the tip of her index finger into your tight cunt. "She's such a good girl, isn't she?"
Your eyebrows furrow in confusion but her powers hold you down and stop you from turning to look at her. Your question is answered before you can even ask it, though, as a certain pair of black boots make their way into your field of vision.
"I'm not sure." The sound of Natasha's voice sends a shiver down her spine. "She looks like a desperate slut to me."
Wanda stops you from answering, thanks to her powers. "Oh, come on, Nat, don't be mean. Look how eager she is to be played with."
The redhead rolls her eyes. "That just proves my point."
The witch laughs, taking the moment to sink her finger deeper into your pussy, relishing the wet sounds that fill the kitchen. You're more than a little humiliated, but there's nothing you can do to stop it. Worse, there's nothing you can do to deny how wet the situation is making you.
How desperate you are for more.
Wanda knows. Of course, she knows. It's partly because of her powers and partly because she knows your body far too well. And because she knows you so well, she gives you a chance to call the whole thing off before it even truly starts.
"What's your color, y/n?"
It would be so easy to say "red" and stop everything. You know there would be zero judgement. That despite whatever agreement they've come to, they'd both take a step back and make sure you were okay.
And yet...you can't seem to form the word.
Because, as much as you don't want to admit it...you want this.
"Green..." you whisper.
Wanda leans in, taking your mind off of Natasha's eyes on you, and peppers soft kisses across your back. The softness of her lips is a stark contrast to her previous demeanor and it helps calm down your speeding nerves.
The Russian steps forward, her hand cupping your face and gently tilting it backward until your eyes meet. "You want this, don't you, darling?"
You don't want to admit it but you can't bring yourself to lie to her. "Yes...I want this."
The sharpness in her eyes fades away slightly. There's still an edge of annoyance in her features but she looks almost as turned on as you feel. "Good girl."
Your walls clench around Wanda's finger and she chuckles before starting to move in and out of your tight heat. "I think she likes you, Nat."
"Shut up."
Wanda adds another finger into the mix, expertly stretching you out and drawing out a long moan from your parted lips. "That's it, just give in, sweetheart. Doesn't it feel better when you stop thinking so much?"
It's startling how right she is.
She doesn't wait for an answer this time, though, she simply speeds up her movements, curling her fingers in the way that drives you crazy. The pleasure slowly overwhelms your mind, removing all other thoughts until all you can focus on is how good it all feels. How much you like submitting to them like this.
"Mommy..." You whine, watching the way Natasha's eyes darken in response to your sounds. "Please...need more."
"Aw, are two fingers not enough for you, baby?" The fake pity in her tone turns you on more than it should. "Does your greedy pussy need more?"
You nod desperately, ignoring the humiliation that lingers in your every move.
All that earns you is another laugh from Wanda and an eye roll from Natasha.
The redhead steps back from you, causing you to whimper, before her hands move to her belt. Her eyes remain on yours as she starts removing her garments, slowly revealing the red strap-on resting between her legs.
Your lips part almost instantly once you catch sight of the full size of it and just how incredibly dominant it makes Natasha look. You shouldn't be surprised considering what everyone, including Wanda, always say about her. Then again, seeing is believing.
"So fucking eager, aren't you?" You know the Russian is technically making fun of you, but you can't help feeling a bit proud of yourself for the grin on her face.
She steps forward, her hands coming up to tangle in your hair and guide you forward. There's something weirdly soft about her movements, about the way she takes her time with you. Maybe, just maybe, she likes you more than she's let on.
You wrap your lips around the head of the dildo, your eyes glued to Natasha's face. You can see the flecks of pleasure spreading across her features, the way she clenches her jaw to stop herself from vocalizing it. It's like you're stuck in a far too arousing competition with her. Each of you trying your damn harderst to break the other.
Unfortunately for you, you also have Wanda working behind you, her fingers restlessly pumping in and out of your soaked entrance. She knows exactly how to wind you up.Â
Exactly how to keep you on your toes yet wanting more.
Natasha guides you further down her cock, working the length deeper into your mouth. "You look so much better like this, malyshka."
"I told you," Wanda pipes up, choosing that exact moment to work another finger into your tight heat. "You just wanted to be a party pooper."
"Keep talking like that and you'll be next, Maximoff."
"You're no fun."
You've never heard Wanda like this. So pouty and borderline bratty. It's a stark contrast to the dominant woman you've grown so attached to. To the one that turns your brain to putty with just a few words.
"Don't get any ideas, sweetheart. Mommy's still in charge here."
You moan in response, the sound muffled by the dildo currently stuffing your mouth.
"If you're Mommy," Natasha says, starting to thrust into your mouth. "Does that make me Daddy?"
You try to voice your approval for the title but neither of the women pay attention to you. They just keep talking like you're not even there, like all you are is a toy for them to play with.
"I thought you didn't like being called that."
The redhead shrugs in response. "I don't but now I'm curious."
"I think our good girl would like it."
You wait for Natasha to complain and say something about how you aren't theirs. Maybe make fun of you again for even thinking they'd ever entertain that idea.
She doesn't, though.
All she does is double her efforts as she keeps thrusting into your mouth.Â
The kitchen fills with the sounds of your pleasure as they both play with your needy holes.
You feel yourself growing closer and closer to the edge, the coil in your stomach getting tighter with each one of their well-timed thrusts. You're completely at their mercy and you love every second of their never-ending show of dominance.
Of control over you.
Wanda's movements speed up and you do your best to ask for permission to cum, knowing all too well the consequences that would await you if you forgot. It's practically impossible to speak, though, considering the way Natasha is still thrusting into your mouth, her hips grinding against the base of the dildo each time she slips the length back inside.
"I know, baby," the witch reassures you. "You want to cum so bad, don't you?"
All she gets is a muffled whine in response, your body jerking forward when her thumb teases your swollen clit.
"Go ahead, darling," Natasha speaks up, her voice practically a low growl. "Cum all over Mommy's fingers for me."
You're not used to receiving such a command from the redhead and yet your body reacts immediatly to her tone. Your whole body seems to come alive as you fall over the edge, Wanda's fingers never ceasing in their movements. She expertly draws out your pleasure until you're left shaking and panting.Â
The ringing in your ears doesn't allow you to hear the string of moans that leave Natasha's mouth as she watches the scene. The sight of you coming undone so violently causes her to fall apart, her fingers tightening in your hair until you're sputtering for air.
Thankfully, Wanda knows your limits well.
No words are exchanged as she uses her magic on you again. You're barely coherent, your mind still too muddled by pure pleasure and the cotton-filled haze of submission.
She gently sets you down on the couch, wiping down your soaked skin with a wet cloth, making sure to look you over in case their rough movements bruised you up.
"You okay, darling?" The witch asks as she settles down next to you.
You nod in response, shifting a little until your head rests in her lap. "Yeah...just tired."
"You should get some rest, detka. We have a lot to talk about."
Her words make you laugh. "That's an understament, Wands."
"Whatever." She moves her hand down to run her fingers through your hair, gently scratching your scalp as sleep overcomes you.
There's a lot you don't understand, a lot you really figure out, but you feel safe with the knowledge that you haven't ruined anything. That you're not an intruder in their relationship. If anything, you're a welcome addition.

How's retirement, Bucky? | Bucky Barnes x f!reader.
Pairings: Bucky Barnes x f!reader
Themes: Funny. Bucky trying to find things to do to kill time, while also being a menace to Y/N and the neighbours. Prequel to 'Ouch, My face.'
Summary: Bucky decides to retire and leave the super hero world behind, but now he doesn't know how to be normal citizen.
A/N: Just another scenario tha rudely popped into my head. . .
Bucky Barnes was retired.
It still felt strange, even after months of settling into a life of quiet mornings and unhurried afternoons. He had fought in wars, spent decades as an agent of chaos, and dedicated years to redemption and healing. Now, here he wasâwaking up whenever he pleased, making breakfast in a house that didnât have bullet-proof glass windows or a panic room, and trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his day.
Today, like most others, started off simple enough: a run through the neighbourhood, a cup of coffee, and a lazy scan of the news. Heâd even managed to fix the leaky faucet that had been bothering you for weeks, earning a soft kiss on the cheek as a reward.
But then⌠the day stretched on. There were no missions, no tactical planning, no world to save. Just the quiet ticking of the clock and the gentle hum of suburban life around him.
So, Bucky set his sights on somethingâor rather, someoneâfar more interesting: annoying you.
And thus began the saga of Bucky Barnesâ Retirement Phases.
Phase 1: The Handyman Hero Phase
Duration: One Month
Bucky started off strong, becoming the ultimate handyman of the household. Everything was fair game for improvement. Leaky faucets, creaky floorboards, wobbly shelvesâif there was a screw to tighten, Bucky was on it like a well-oiled machine.
âBucky, what are you doing?â you asked one morning, sipping your coffee as you watched him carefully measuring the distance between each picture frame on the living room wall.
âMaking sure theyâre exactly one inch apart,â he said without looking up, his voice deadly serious.
âWhy?â
âBecause last night, I noticed this oneââ he pointed to a frame on the far left ââwas slightly off-center, and itâs been bothering me ever since.â
You blinked. âBucky, itâs fine.â
âItâs not fine, Y/N. Itâs one and a quarter inch apart. Do you know what happens when things arenât balanced?â He gave you a haunted look, as if youâd just suggested destabilizing the world order.
âChaos,â you muttered.
âExactly.â
Within weeks, Bucky had rebuilt half the house, repainted the walls (twice), and installed a state-of-the-art security system that even Tony Stark would envy. You came home one day to find the couch moved three inches to the left, the coffee table completely gone (âI dismantled it; we donât need itâ), and Bucky seriously contemplating whether the kitchen would look better with marble or granite countertops.
âBucky,â you said slowly, trying to remain calm, âIâm begging youâstop fixing things.â
He blinked at you. âWhat do you want me to do then?â
You panicked. âAnything. Justâfind a hobby!â
He gave a solemn nod, as if youâd just entrusted him with a new mission. âOkay. A hobby. Got it.â
You breathed a sigh of relief. If only youâd known what was coming next.
Phase 2: The Google Scholar Phase
Duration: Two Weeks
With his newfound free time, Bucky discovered the internet. And when Bucky Barnes discovers the internet, chaos ensues.
It started innocently enough. Youâd come home to find him glued to his laptop, his brows furrowed in concentration.
âWhat are you doing?â you asked, setting down your bag.
âResearch,â he said ominously, fingers flying over the keys.
âResearch on⌠what?â
He glanced up, his eyes wide. âDid you know sharks have been around longer than trees?â
âUhââ
âAnd that banana slugs can grow up to 9 inches long?â He leaned forward, voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. âThereâs a whole website dedicated to weird animal facts. Iâve been reading for hours.â
And so, you were subjected to two weeks of nonstop trivia.
âHey, Y/N!â heâd shout from the kitchen. âDid you know an octopus has three hearts?â
Or: âDid you know cows have best friends?â
And: âDo you want to hear about the deepest point in the ocean?â
âNot reallyââ
âItâs called the Mariana Trench, and itâs seven miles down!â
You tried banning Wikipedia, but he just switched to obscure forums. You blocked YouTube, and he found a random chicken fact blog. The worst part? Heâd share his newfound knowledge with anyone whoâd listen.
âIâm calling Sam,â you muttered one evening after hearing Bucky recite the entire history of the humble potato to the mailman. âYou need social intervention.â
Phase 3: The Home DĂŠcor Perfectionist Phase
Duration: Two Exasperating Weeks
Denied access to his newfound internet pursuits, Bucky turned to interior design. You were caught off guard one Saturday morning when he asked, âWhat do you think of paisley?â
âWhatâs a paisley?â
âPattern. Iâm thinking of reupholstering the couch.â
âBucky, noââ
Too late. Within days, every room was a different colour. You came home to find polka-dotted curtains in the bathroom, and heâd somehow managed to install a chandelier in the laundry room.
âBucky, why is there a 10-foot mirror in the hallway?â
âIt makes the space feel bigger.â
âBucky, this is a two-bedroom house!â
He paused, squinting at the living room wall. âI think the polka dots need to go.â
You nearly wept with relief when he announced he was moving on to the garden.
Phase 4: The Amateur Detective Phase
Duration: One Overly Suspicious Month
After redecorating the entire house, Bucky set his sights on the neighborhood.
âY/N, did you see that guy across the street?â he whispered one morning, peering through the blinds with a pair of binoculars.
âThatâs Mr. Henderson. Heâs eighty-five.â
âYeah, and heâs up to something. No one goes to the mailbox that often.â
âMaybe he likes getting his mail?â
âIâm telling you, somethingâs not right.â He tapped the binoculars. âIâm gonna get to the bottom of it.â
And so began Operation: Neighborhood Watch. Every delivery truck was scrutinised. Every dog walker received a full background check. The poor Girl Scouts who came to sell cookies left looking slightly shell-shocked.
The Girl Scout Incident: When Bucky Barnes Met Thin Mints
The Girl Scout incident started out innocent enoughâjust a kid selling cookies to the neighborhood. But when Bucky Barnes answered the door, things took a turn.
It was a sunny Saturday morning. You were in the kitchen, enjoying a rare moment of peace, when you heard the doorbell ring. Before you could even get up to check, Buckyâs voice echoed from the living room.
âI got it!â he called out, already making his way to the front door.
Curious, you peeked around the corner just in time to see him open it. Standing on the porch was a sweet-looking little girl, no more than nine or ten, decked out in her green uniform, clutching a clipboard and flashing a bright, eager smile.
âHi, mister!â she chirped, clearly undeterred by the stern look on Buckyâs face. âWould you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies today?â
You watched as Buckyâs expression softened just a bit, his head tilting to the side in confusion.
âCookies?â he repeated, as if sheâd just offered him nuclear launch codes.
âYep!â She held up a laminated chart with pictures of the various cookies, pointing to each one with a tiny, rainbow-colored pen. âWe have Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Samoasâuh, I mean, Caramel deLitesââ
He squinted at the chart, clearly trying to make sense of it all. âWhy would you need to sell cookies?â
You nearly face-palmed. Oh no.
The girlâs enthusiasm didnât waver. âItâs a fundraiser! To support our troop activities and trips.â
âFundraiser?â Buckyâs voice dropped suspiciously. âWhoâs your troop leader?â
The girl blinked, a little taken aback. âUh, Mrs. Patterson?â
âUh-huh. And how many boxes of these so-called âcookiesâ are you supposed to sell?â
Her smile wavered just a fraction. âUm, as many as possible?â
Bucky crossed his arms, leaning against the doorframe. âAnd where does all this money go?â
âBuckyââ you tried to interrupt, stepping forward, but he held up a hand without looking back, eyes still locked on the bewildered Girl Scout.
âIt goes to our troop!â she answered nervously, glancing down at her clipboard as if for reassurance. âFor badges and supplies andââ
âSupplies,â Bucky echoed, his tone suddenly sharp. âWhat kind of supplies?â
âUh⌠arts and craftsâŚ?â she stammered, clearly starting to get uncomfortable.
âArts and crafts?â He leaned in, dropping his voice to a low, conspiratorial whisper. âOr something else?â
You saw the poor girlâs eyes widen, her grip tightening on her clipboard as if she was contemplating using it as a shield.
âBucky, stop,â you hissed, stepping forward to intervene. But he was on a roll now.
âWho gets the money, huh?â He narrowed his eyes, peering down at her like she was an enemy combatant. âDo you get it?
âOr does it go to some mysterious âtroop leaderâ whoâs hiding behind a desk somewhere, raking in profits from innocent cookie sales?â
âM-Mister, itâs just cookies,â she squeaked, glancing nervously at the boxes stacked beside her. âWe just wanna go camping this summer.â
âCamping?â he repeated slowly, as if tasting the word. âAnd what kind of âcampingâ are we talking about here? Deep-woods recon training? SERE training?â
The girl blinked up at him, clearly having no idea what he was talking about.
âBucky, sheâs nine!â you practically shouted, rushing over to save the poor child from what was rapidly escalating into a full-blown interrogation.
âBut Y/N, this could beââ
âItâs not a conspiracy, Bucky!â you snapped, turning to the girl and giving her what you hoped was a reassuring smile. âSweetie, how much for a box of Thin Mints?â
âUh⌠f-five dollars?â she stammered, still eyeing Bucky like he might suddenly sprout fangs.
You reached for your wallet, pulling out a ten-dollar bill and handing it to her. âKeep the change.â
âThank you, maâam!â she squeaked, stuffing the money into her pouch with trembling hands.
You shot Bucky a glare. âApologize.â
He crossed his arms, looking mulish. âButââ
âBucky.â
He let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair. âFine. Uh⌠sorry⌠for, um⌠asking about your troop leader and, uh⌠the money laundering?â
The girl blinked up at him, clearly not following.
âBucky!â you hissed, elbowing him sharply.
âI mean, sorry for⌠for⌠being weird,â he mumbled, shoving his hands into his pockets.
The girl gave a hesitant nod, glancing back at her stack of cookies. âUm⌠would you like another box, mister?â
Bucky frowned thoughtfully. âMaybe. Which oneâs the best?â
âBuckyââ you started, but he was already leaning down, listening intently as the girl launched into a detailed explanation of the flavour profiles of Samoas versus Tagalongs.
Twenty minutes later, Bucky was the proud owner of a dozen boxes of Girl Scout cookies, which the girl somehow managed to upsell him into buying. The look of relief on her face as she walked away was palpable.
You turned to Bucky, hands on your hips. âReally, Buck?â
âWhat?â he said defensively, clutching his armful of cookies. âI needed to make sure it was legit!â
âUh-huh. And thatâs why we now have enough cookies to feed an army?â
He shrugged, looking entirely too pleased with himself. âI guess I got carried away.â
âJust⌠try not to scare any more children, okay?â
âHey, I was just being thorough,â he muttered, glancing down at the boxes. âBesides⌠these âSamoasâ are actually pretty good.â
You shook your head, laughing despite yourself. Because only Bucky Barnes could turn a simple cookie sale into a full-scale interrogationâand then end up buying out the entire stock.
âWhatever you say, Bucky. Whatever you say.â
He gave you a sheepish grin, holding up a box of Thin Mints. âWant one?â
âSure,â you sighed, reaching out to grab a cookie. Because, at the end of the day, this was Bucky Barnes: ex-assassin, super-soldier, and now⌠terrifyingly dedicated Girl Scout cookie connoisseur.
The Girl Scout incident, unfortunately, didnât mark the end of Buckyâs neighbourhood watch endeavours.
âHey, Y/N, thatâs the third day in a row Mrs. Higginson has gone jogging past our house,â Bucky muttered a few days later, scribbling furiously in his notebook.
You glanced over from your spot on the couch, raising an eyebrow. âUh-huh,â you replied absently, already wondering if now would be a good time to text Steve for a little ârescue mission.â âMaybe she likes jogging?â
âNah,â he said, shaking his head. âItâs not natural. Itâs a cover for something. Probably espionage.â
âBucky, sheâs seventy.â
âExactly. No one that age moves like that. Sheâs gotta be a retired agent.â
âOr sheâs trying to stay in shape?â
âOr sheâs spying on us.â He narrowed his eyes, peering through the blinds. âMaybe sheâs HYDRA.â
âBucky, she brought us homemade banana bread last week.â
âWhich tasted suspiciously good,â he muttered darkly, tapping his pen against his chin. âIâm keeping an eye on her.â
It didnât stop there. He began obsessively tracking patternsâwhen neighbors took out their trash, when they left for work, who picked up their mail first thing in the morning. His conspiracy board rivaled the one youâd seen at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, complete with photos, string, and a suspiciously large map of the neighborhood.
âY/N, I need to talk to you.â
You blinked, looking up from your book. âWhatâs up, Buck?â
He leaned in, his voice low and serious. âDid you know Mrs. Pattersonâs dog peed on our lawn three times this week?â
âIâwhat?â
âAnd Mr. Thompson left his house twice yesterday. Twice.â
ââŚis that a crime?â
âYes. Who leaves the house twice in one day? Heâs clearly up to something.â
âLike⌠groceries?â
Bucky frowned. âNo. Something bigger. I saw him walking to his car, get thisâwithout any bags.â
âMaybe he forgot something?â
He shook his head, eyes narrowed. âItâs a diversion tactic. Iâm keeping a close watch on him.â
âPlease donât tell me youâre stalking the neighbours.â
âOf course not!â He paused. âIâm⌠observing. For science.â
âFor science?â
âYes.â
âOkay, Buck. Iâm putting my foot down,â you finally managed. âYou need to stop this. The neighbours think weâre crazy. Youâre scaring the kids and⌠the mailman wonât come to the door anymore.â
Bucky looked genuinely confused. âWhy not?â
âBecause you interrogated him about his route last week!â
âHe was being shady!â
âHeâs a mailman!â
There was a long pause as you stared each other down, Bucky looking defiant and you looking exhausted. Finally, you sighed and ran a hand through your hair.
âBuck⌠I know retirement is hard. But you need a new outlet. Maybe something a little lessââ
âParanoid?â he offered, raising an eyebrow.
âYeah. And a little less terrifying for the neighbours.â
He sighed deeply, like youâd just asked him to hang up his shield all over again. âI was just⌠trying to be useful.â
Your heart softened immediately. Because that was what it all boiled down to, wasnât it? The man whoâd spent his life fighting wars and doing battle against his own mind was now left trying to figure out how to fit into a world that no longer needed him to save it.
You walked over, placing your hands on his shoulders and giving him a soft smile. âYouâre always useful, Buck. Even if youâre not interrogating the mailman about federal postal regulations or⌠spying on seventy-year-old retirees.â
He snorted, shaking his head. âI mightâve gone a little overboard, huh?â
âA little,â you agreed with a grin. âMaybe you should find something else to watch over.â
âLike what?â he asked, looking genuinely curious.
You bit your lip, thinking. âI donât know⌠Maybe get a pet? You could⌠I donât know, babysit a cat or something.â
Bucky blinked at you. Then his eyes lit up like youâd just handed him the Holy Grail of retirement activities.
âA cat,â he murmured slowly, as if testing the word. âA cat.â
âYes, a cat,â you repeated cautiously, wondering if youâd just unleashed some new kind of havoc on the house. âYou could train it to⌠I donât know, not scratch the furniture or something.â
âOr⌠I could train it to keep an eye on the pigeons,â he muttered to himself, looking thoughtful.
âWait, what?â
But Bucky had already gone inside, the gears in his mind clearly turning. You shook your head, deciding to let him have this one. After all, how much trouble could he really get into with a cat?
Phase 5: The Pet Phase (aka Operation: Find a Feline Friend)
Duration: Ongoing, with Fur Everywhere
You didnât think heâd take it seriously. Until you came home the next day to find Bucky sitting cross-legged on the living room floor, a small, white ball of fluff curled up in his lap.
âThis is Alpine,â he announced proudly.
You stared at the kitten, then at Bucky, then back at the kitten. âBucky, what⌠whyâŚ?â
âYou said get a pet,â he said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. âSo I did.â
And thatâs how Alpine, the grumpy old woman in a catâs body, became part of your household. Bucky spent weeks trying to train him (âSit, Alpine! Sit! ⌠Okay, fine, just glare at me, that works too.â), set up elaborate obstacle courses (âAlpine, jump! No, donât walk awayâokay, you know what, just do your thingâ), and spoiled her rotten with toys and treats.
With each phase, Buckyâs retirement became a new adventure. And while it drove you absolutely crazy at times, you couldnât help but smile when you saw Bucky lying on the couch, Alpine curled up on his chest, both looking completely content.
âRetirement isnât so bad, huh?â you teased one evening, curling up beside him.
He hummed thoughtfully, scratching behind Alpineâs ears. âI donât know⌠I think I could use a new project.â
You groaned, but your groan turned into a laugh when he grinned at you, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
âOh no,â you said, narrowing your eyes. âNo more projects, Barnes. Youâve nearly redecorated us out of house and home, scared the mailman half to death, andââ
âDonât forget the gourmet cookies,â he interjected with a cheeky smile.
You shot him a playful glare. âIâm trying to forget the cookies, thank you.â
âAw, come on. I think I finally got the recipe down. Iâll just try one moreââ
âNo!â you practically shouted, your voice echoing through the living room. Alpine, unbothered, merely lifted her head, gave you both a disinterested look, and went back to napping.
Bucky chuckled, holding up his hands in mock surrender. âOkay, okay. No more cookies. No more redecorating. No more⌠scaring the Girl Scouts.â
âOr spying on the neighbors.â
âOr spying on the neighbors,â he agreed, still looking a little too amused for your liking.
You sighed, leaning back into the couch and resting your head on his shoulder. âYou know, most people take up hobbies like gardening or painting in retirement.â
Bucky nodded thoughtfully. âYeah, but those arenât as exciting.â
âTheyâre not supposed to be exciting. Theyâre supposed to be calm. Thatâs the whole point of retirement, Buck.â
He glanced down at you, his gaze softening. âYou really think Iâm the âcalmâ type, doll?â
You snorted. âNo, not really. But it would be nice if, just once, I didnât come home to find you plotting to build a moat around the house.â
âMoats are an excellent defense mechanism,â he said matter-of-factly. âBut okay, I get it. Iâll tone it down.â
You gave him a skeptical look. âYou promise?â
âScoutâs honor,â he said, holding up his right hand. The glint in his eye, however, told you he was already planning something new.
âBuckyâŚâ
âWhat?â he asked, all innocence. âYou donât trust me?â
âNot for a second.â
He chuckled, then pressed a gentle kiss to your temple. âAlright, no more projects. Iâll just focus on Alpine. Sheâs a full-time job anyway.â
You glanced at the cat, who was now sprawled out like she owned the place. âYouâve turned her into a diva, you know.â
âHeâs just refined,â Bucky said defensively. âHeâs got standards.â
âUh-huh. Like the way he refuses to eat unless you hand-feed her?â
âRefined,â Bucky insisted.
âAnd how she sleeps on your side of the bed and shoves you off with her tiny, evil paws?â
âSelective.â
âAnd how she sits on the counter staring at you like sheâs plotting your demise?â
âObservant.â
You shook your head, laughing softly. âYouâve created a monster, Bucky.â
âEh,â he said with a shrug, smirking down at you. âIâve handled worse monsters. Sheâs a good one. Besides,â he added, scratching Alpineâs head fondly, âsheâs family.â
Your heart softened at his words, and you smiled up at him. âYeah, I guess she is.â
There was a comfortable silence as you both sat there, content in the peaceful moment.
Then Bucky cleared his throat, and you glanced up to see him shifting slightly, like he was working up the nerve to say something.
âSo⌠I was thinkingâŚâ he began slowly.
âBucky.â
âNo, no, hear me out,â he said quickly, raising his hands as if to ward off your incoming refusal. âWhat if we⌠I dunno⌠made a baby?â
You blinked, certain you hadnât heard him correctly. âWhat?â
âA baby,â he repeated, his voice steady, though there was a telltale blush creeping up his neck. âYou know, a little humanâour human. Someone we can train to take over the world⌠or at least keep me entertained.â
Your jaw dropped open. âYou want to have a babyâbecause youâre bored?â
Bucky gave you a sheepish grin. âI mean, I was thinking it could be a good project⌠long-term investment⌠future troublemakerâŚâ
âBucky,â you interrupted, placing your hands on his shoulders and staring at him, bewildered. âAre you seriously suggesting having a child like itâs another DIY project?â
He shrugged, looking as nonchalant as ever, but his eyes were soft and serious. âMaybe. But I was also thinking itâd be nice to have something, or someone, thatâs just⌠ours. A mix of you and me. Something that isnât tied to the past, or fighting, or⌠all the other stuff.â
You stared at him, trying to wrap your mind around the sudden turn the conversation had taken. âYou really want a baby, Bucky?â
He nodded slowly, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. âYeah. I do. Donât get me wrong, Alpineâs great and all, butâŚâ He sighed, his smile turning tender. âI just think itâd be amazing to have something more. Iâve spent so much of my life taking orders or fighting ghosts. But starting a family with you? Thatâs something I get to build. Something thatâs ours.â
You bit your lip, heart swelling at his words. Despite the completely unromantic way heâd suggested it, there was sincerity in his gaze, a yearning for something deeper than fixing leaky faucets or buying out the Girl Scoutsâ entire cookie stock.
âAnd you think youâd be a good dad?â you teased, raising an eyebrow.
âPlease,â he scoffed, pulling you closer and pressing a kiss to your forehead. âIâd be the best damn dad. Iâd teach our kid how to throw a proper punch by age five, dismantle a toaster by sixââ
You laughed, shaking your head. âSo, what youâre saying is⌠you want to raise a tiny super-soldier?â
His grin widened. âHell yeah.â
âBucky, we are not turning our child into a mini-Winter Soldier.â
He pouted dramatically. âNot even a little bit?â
âNot even a little bit,â you affirmed with a chuckle. You leaned in, resting your forehead against his. âBut⌠maybe we could talk about it. You know, actually talk. Not just⌠plan a tactical baby mission.â
Buckyâs eyes softened as he brushed his thumb along your cheek. âYeah. We can talk about it.â He paused, then added with a mischievous glint, âAfter we practice a little more.â
You rolled your eyes but couldnât help the smile tugging at your lips. âOh my God, Bucky.â
âWhat?â he asked innocently, his grin widening. âPractice makes perfect, right?â
You shook your head, letting out a breathy laugh. âYouâre incorrigible.â
âAnd you love me for it,â he murmured, leaning in to capture your lips in a soft, lingering kiss.
âYeah,â you whispered when he pulled away, your heart fluttering in your chest. âI do.â
You glanced down at Alpine, who was still sprawled across Buckyâs lap, looking utterly uninterested in the conversation. A baby. You hadnât really thought about it seriously before, but now that Bucky had put the idea in your head⌠you couldnât help but wonder.
There was a brief pause as Bucky gazed at you, his expression growing thoughtful. âYou know,â he began quietly, âafter that whole Girl Scout cookie fiasco⌠I kinda started thinking⌠Iâd really like to have a daughter.â
You blinked at him, surprised. âA daughter?â
âYeah,â he murmured, his voice softening. âThat kid was just so⌠brave, you know? Standing there, staring me down even though I was being a total idiot. It reminded me of youâfierce and unafraid. I couldnât stop thinking⌠what if we had a daughter like that? Strong, smart, and completely capable of putting me in my place when I get out of line.â
You felt your heart clench at his words, his quiet admission making your chest ache. âYou want a little girl because sheâd keep you in check?â
âThat,â he said, smiling softly, âand I think Iâd like the challenge. Iâve spent so much of my life dealing with people who only saw me as a weapon. I just⌠want to prove that I can be something else. That I can be gentle⌠and kind⌠and love someone unconditionally. The way I love you.â
You reached up, cupping his face gently. âBucky, you donât have to prove anything to anyone.â
âI know,â he murmured, his gaze warm and intense. âBut I still want to try. And I want to be the kind of dad who isnât just a protector, but a friend. Someone whoâd sit through endless tea parties and help her build pillow forts⌠and buy all the Girl Scout cookies she wants without scaring anyone.â
You laughed softly, tears stinging your eyes at the picture he painted. âYouâd be a great dad, Bucky.â
âYeah?â he asked, his voice low and hopeful.
âYeah,â you whispered, smiling up at him.
There was another beat of silence before Bucky leaned in, his breath warm against your ear as he whispered, âSo⌠when do we start?â
You felt your cheeks heat, a mix of laughter and surprise bubbling up in your chest. âBucky!â
âWhat?â he asked, his smile as innocent as ever. âIâm just asking. I mean, you know Iâm a man of action. Gotta have a timeline.â
âOh my God,â you muttered, burying your face in your hands as Bucky laughed softly, his arms wrapping around you.
âOkay, okay,â he murmured, pressing a kiss to your hair. âNo rush. Weâll take it one day at a time, sweetheart. But just know⌠Iâm ready whenever you are.â
And somehow, you knew this next phaseâwhatever it looked likeâwas going to be the best one yet.

Ten months later
The soft glow of the nightlight bathed the nursery in a warm, golden hue, casting gentle shadows on the pale blue walls. The room was still, save for the quiet creak of the rocking chair as Bucky swayed back and forth, holding the tiniest bundle of joy in his strong, yet tender arms.
His daughter, barely a week old, was nestled against his chest, her small, delicate breaths in sync with the steady rhythm of his own. Her tiny fist curled around the fabric of his shirt, as if she knew just how safe and loved she was in her daddy's arms.
Bucky hummed quietly, the familiar melody of an old lullaby drifting into the air. It was a song his mother used to sing to him when he was no older than his sweet little girl was now. The words came softly, almost whispered, as if they were sacredâmeant only for his daughter.
âDarling, you're my bloodYou have my heartbeatYou have my heartbeat, beating loud,â
His voice was gruff, yet softened by emotion as he sang, the gentle rocking lulling his daughter further into her peaceful slumber. His fingers brushed through her soft, downy hair as he looked down at her with nothing short of awe. How had he, of all people, gotten so lucky?
He had been through so much darkness in his lifeâseen and done things he would never be able to forgetâbut here, in this quiet moment, everything seemed to fade away. The world outside could wait. Right now, his whole universe was cradled in his arms, and for the first time in a long time, Bucky Barnes felt at peace.
Unbeknownst to him, you stood at the door, your heart swelling at the sight before you. You had come to check on them both, worried that Bucky might need help with the baby. But when you saw him there, rocking your little girl and singing so sweetly, you couldnât bring yourself to interrupt.
A soft smile tugged at your lips as you leaned against the doorframe, content to watch the love of your life in this vulnerable, beautiful moment.Â
Bucky was a natural, even if he didnât believe it. You had seen the worry in his eyes when you first brought your daughter homeâthe fear that he wouldnât be good enough, that he wouldnât know what to do. But here he was, proving himself wrong in the most heart-melting way possible.
The lullaby continued, each note filled with so much love it made your eyes mist over.
"You are my lighthouseA peak of light from the dark cloudsI've lived under my whole life. . .And there's nothing I won't do for you."
Buckyâs voice cracked just a little on the last line, overcome with emotion as he gazed down at his daughter and carefully wiped his tears away.Â
She had his eyesâbright and full of wonder, even when they were closed in slumber. He couldnât help but trace the delicate features of her face with his gaze, committing every tiny detail to memory.
Finally, you couldnât resist any longer. You stepped into the room quietly, not wanting to startle him. Bucky looked up, surprise flickering across his face when he saw you standing there. His expression softened when he realised you had been watching him.
âHow long have you been standing there?â he asked, his voice low so as not to wake the baby.
âLong enough,â you replied, your smile widening as you walked over to him.
Bucky blushed, a sheepish grin tugging at his lips. âIâm not exactly a professional.â
âI beg to differ, I think youâre the best dad in the world.â you whispered, leaning down to press a soft kiss to his temple.Â
Buckyâs heart swelled at your words. He never imagined he would be hereâsitting in a nursery, holding his newborn daughter while the love of his life stood beside him, calling him the best dad in the world. It still felt like a dream.
âSheâs so small,â he murmured, looking back down at the baby. âSo fragile. I didnât thinkâŚI didnât think I could love someone I barely knew this much.â
Your hand gently rested on his shoulder as you gazed down at your daughter. âYouâve got a big heart, James. I always knew youâd be amazing as a father.â
He glanced up at you, eyes soft and full of affection. âYouâre the amazing one.â
You reached out to gently stroke the babyâs cheek, and Bucky leaned into your touch, feeling more complete than he ever thought possible.
âI never thought Iâd have this,â he admitted after a long silence, his voice barely above a whisper. âA family. A reason to feelâŚwhole again.â
You knelt down beside him, resting your head against his shoulder. âYou deserve it, Bucky. You deserve all the happiness in the world.â
Bucky kissed the top of youe head, holding you close as he continued to rock your daughter. The world outside could be chaotic and unforgiving, but in this room, in this moment, everything was perfect.

Baby at six months
The house was peaceful, the late afternoon sun casting a warm glow through the windows. You were out running errands, leaving Bucky home with their now six-month-old daughter, who was currently kicking her chubby little legs and babbling on her playmat. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she reached for her favorite stuffed bear, the one Bucky had given her the day she was born.
Bucky sat beside her, legs crossed, watching her every move like she was the most fascinating thing on the planet. He leaned down, his voice dropping to a playful whisper.Â
âYou know, blossom,â he began, glancing over his shoulder dramatically as if checking to make sure Y/N wasnât around. âYour mom thinks sheâs the boss.â
Their daughter let out a high-pitched squeal, and Bucky grinned.Â
âRight? Can you believe it?â he continued, keeping his voice low as if sharing the biggest secret in the world. âShe thinks sheâs in charge around here. But between you and me, we know the truth.â
His little girl giggled again, her tiny hands grasping at the air as if she was agreeing with him.
âSee, you and I?â Bucky said, tapping his finger gently on her nose, âWeâre a team. We know how to get things done. I mean, just look at usâsurviving nap time, figuring out how to stack those weird little ring toys, and we donât even need to look at the instructions. Meanwhile, your mom still thinks I canât fold laundry properly.â
He paused for dramatic effect, raising his brows. âCan you believe that? Laundry. I fought in World War II, and sheâs worried Iâll mess up the towels.â
His daughter let out a delighted shriek, her little legs kicking excitedly. Bucky reached over and tickled her belly gently, making her burst into even more giggles.
âOh, yeah, I know you think itâs funny,â Bucky chuckled. âBut trust me, your momâs got some pretty high laundry standards. I tried to fold one towel, just one, and she came over with this look like Iâd committed a crime. 'Bucky, thatâs not how you fold them!' she said. And Iâm standing there like, âItâs a towel, not a top-secret mission.ââ
He leaned in closer, as if telling her something top-secret. âShe doesnât know this, but I mightâve folded them wrong on purpose so I wouldnât have to do it anymore.â
His daughter cooed, her tiny hand reaching out to grab his finger, which she promptly brought to her mouth to chew on. Bucky let her, his heart melting at the sight. She was his little sidekick, always hanging on his every word, even if she didnât fully understand yet.
âAnd donât even get me started on the bedtime routine,â Bucky continued, shaking his head in mock exasperation. âYour momâs got this whole planâbath, story, lights out. Meanwhile, you and me? Weâve got a better plan. We chill, we rock, maybe sing a little. You get all cozy, and bamâout like a light.â
âBababababa,â His daughter babbled something back at him, her little voice full of enthusiasm, and Bucky nodded seriously.Â
âExactly. Thatâs what Iâve been saying. Weâve got this figured out.â
He scooped her up from the mat and held her close, her head resting comfortably against his chest as he walked them over to the couch. He sat down, cradling her in his arms, and continued his lighthearted rant.
âAnd the thing is, sheâs always right, which drives me crazy. Like, the other day, she told me you were gonna try to crawl soon. I thought, âNah, sheâs too young.â But then what happens? Two days later, youâre scooting around like youâve got places to be. I swear, your momâs a psychic or something.â
Bucky gazed down at his daughter, who was now looking up at him with those wide blue eyes that never failed to melt his heart. She let out a happy gurgle, and Bucky chuckled softly, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead.
âYou know Iâm just kidding, right? Your momâs the best. She takes care of both of us.â He sighed, feeling a rush of affection as he thought about Y/N. âDonât tell her, but Iâm pretty lucky to have her. She keeps me in line.â
Just then, the sound of the front door opening echoed through the house, and Buckyâs head shot up in mock panic.
âUh-oh,â he whispered to his daughter, his eyes wide with exaggerated worry. âThe boss is back. Donât say anything.â
You appeared in the doorway, raising an eyebrow as you saw Bucky and the baby cozied up on the couch. âWhat are you two up to?â you asked, a knowing smile on your lips.
Bucky gave you his most innocent look, bouncing your daughter gently in his arms. âOh, nothing. Just hanging out with my best girl here. Right, darling?â
The baby let out a little squeal, clearly delighted by the attention.
âMmhmm,â You said, stepping closer and giving Bucky a playful look. âYou havenât been filling her head with nonsense, have you?â
âMe? Never,â Bucky replied, trying to keep a straight face. âWe were just talking about how great you are. Isnât that right, kiddo?â
Bianca, oblivious to the conversation, giggled and reached for you, and took her from Buckyâs arms and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
âWell, if she grows up thinking sheâs in charge, Iâll know who to blame,â You teased, casting a glance at Bucky.
He grinned, leaning back on the couch. âHey, sheâs gotta learn from the best.â
You smiled, shaking your head in mock defeat. âYouâre lucky she likes you so much.â
Bucky stood and wrapped his arms around you, resting his chin on your shoulder as you both looked down at your little girl, now happily nestled between you. âIâm lucky to have both of you,â he murmured softly, kissing the side of your head.
And in that moment, with his two favorite girls in his arms, Bucky couldnât imagine a better kind of luck.

Mechanic Sukuna purposely lies about your car so he can see you again.
Notes: not proofread, fem!reader
main masterlist
Sweaty, grimy, and greasy. Three adjectives youâd use to describe the local repair shop. It was always filled with muscled men who always seemed to have a permanent scowl on their face, intimidating anyone who wanted help with their vehicle.
Which is why you always sent your (only) male friend there to order any kind of complicated repair work on your behalf. As a woman, you did not want to be subject to all the scrutinizing stares and intentionally inflated prices for services that would otherwise be cheap or free of charge.
Your car was your baby. A haven if you will. It was much better to take naps in there rather than sit and do homework in the library during the long gaps in your class schedule. It was the best to use in the late months of spring, with the AC blowing right in your face as you dreamt about sleeping on an iceberg.
But alas, it also had to break down when the heat was at its highest and your friend had gone on a trip with his partner.
You were now conditioned to go to the place you dreaded most. You got rid of all your pretty accessories stuck and dangling off of different parts of your car. You were not going to be a victim of chauvinism. Especially not by mechanics- it just hurts more with them of all people.
As expected, all eyes were on you (mainly because you were the only girl in the shop and you looked like you had seen a ghost). All the men there looked like they belonged to a gang- brutish, crass words slipping out of their mouths like it was nothing, grease all over their faces, and regular safety uniforms altered to show off their muscle tank tops.
Your eyes just shifted around the place. You werenât even sure how the system worked. Were you supposed to walk over to them or did they just come to you? Did you have to get an appointment before arriving like it was a doctors office or-
âI recognize that dump.â
You turned to see who in their right mind had to say that about your ass. You hadnât been hit on a lot in your life, but you knew how to differentiate between flattery and sexual harassment. The other men were quick to go back to their tasks, not wanting to watch your reaction.
âExcuse me?â You squeaked out with as much anger in your voice as possible (you were more like a yipping Pomeranian).
The pink haired man in front of you looked like the definition of bad news. Stark black tattoos against his pale skin, burn and cut scars all over his arms, and his pink hair was pulled back by a black bandana. With the way him and the other men looked, it seemed like all mechanics had to do a course in âIntimidation 101: how to look like a convict.â
âTalkinâ âbout your car, sweetheart. Some guy is always cominâ in here with that thing.â
Sweetheart. Passive aggressive prick
âOh, Iâm sorry. That guyâs my friend. This is actually my car and the AC is just not working properly. I think itâs broken.â
You watched as he walked over to your car and examined the interior. âFlaps are fine. I think we might have to open it up and take a good look inside. Might even have to replace the thing.â
He noticed your shifty gaze, probably worried about how much you were going to have to pay for the whole thing. Adorable.
âI know a guy who gives discounts for it. You a college student?â His unnaturally handsome face looks concerned for you. You werenât expecting it but you welcomed it. With caution of course. You nodded meekly while looking at him. Maybe mechanics werenât scammy towards women after all.
He clapped his hands and grinned, sharp canines visible in all their glory. The man looked like the human version of a tiger. âThen itâs basically free. Donât worry about the cost. You can leave your car here. Want me to call an uber for ya?â
He noticed the not-so-discreet glances from his coworkers but kept his eyes trained on your wimpish face.
âIâm alright. Um, thank you. Do I have to leave my number or do you guys have that on file?â
âWe do have a number but Iâm guessing that belongs to your friend cause heâs always the one to come here and pick your car up after service.â
âYouâre right. I think I might have to give mine.â
As stupid as it sounds, he wanted to do a cartwheel, itâs like everything was falling into place. Cute girl with car problems, no boyfriend (as far as he knows), and he gets her number.
He was going to get a celebratory beer after work.
His colleagues could see the pep in his step but didnât bother to say anything knowing that you were still there- even if you looked like your mind wasnât present.
He returned with a clipboard and bit the inside of his cheek to stop himself from scaring you with his beaming smile.
âIâm Sukuna by the way.â He smirked as he noticed the deep blush on your cheeks. You stammered out your name to him and he swore that he could almost envision it on an elegant white card a few years from now.
âSee you soon,â he said before walking away with a new air of confidence around his gait.
After you left, his friend, Toji, abandoned the car he was working on to follow Sukuna to the office. âThereâs no way in hell you know someone who can install a new AC for free. I paid hundreds to fix mine.â Sukuna didnât even look at his friend while he was talking. He just kept staring at you through the window while you were getting into your cab.
âThereâs nothing wrong with her AC. She just needed to clean the filters.â

If they're going to make people ride bikes and scooters in traffic, then it should at LEAST be legal to do the Snow Crash thing where you use a hook-shot-style harpoon to catch free rides from cars.
Urban Planning Opinion Progression [Explained]
Transcript Under the Cut
Typical urban planning opinion progression [Each panel is connected to a point on a timeline]
Cueball: I wish there wasn't so much traffic to get into the city. They should put in more lanes. Megan: And more parking. Megan: Parking is so bad here.
Knit Cap: I have to go to Amsterdam for work next week. I hear they all ride bikes there. Ponytail: Bikes are fine but people shouldn't ride them in the street! I worry I'm going to hit someone!
Cueball: It would be nice if we had better transit options! Cueball: I tried a scooter. It was fun but I wish there were more bike paths.
Megan: It's funny how widening roads to speed up traffic makes them more dangerous to walk near, making driving more necessary and creating more traffic. Megan: Really makes you think.
Knit Cap: Visiting the Netherlands was cool! Knit Cap: Amsterdam is really neat.
Cueball: We've ceded so much of our land to storing and moving cars, with the rest of us tiptoeing around the edges and making drivers mad for trespassing on "their" space. Cueball: Even though we're the ones in danger from them!
Megan: Those giant trucks with front blind spots that keep hitting kids should be illegal.
Knit Cap: We should be more like the Netherlands. Knit Cap: They design their street to prioritize...
Cueball: The problem is car culture. It's systemic. Cueball: I don't know if we can fix it.
Megan: People approach road planning decisions from the point of view of drivers because that's how we're used to interacting with the city, so we make choices that make it more car-friendly. Megan: It's a vicious cycle.
Knit Cap: Netherlands! Netherlands! Netherlands! Netherlands!
Cueball: Anything that makes a city a worse place to drive in makes it a better place to live, short of scattering random tire spikes on the road.
Megan: Honestly, I think the city council should consider the tire spikes thing.

Itâs natural to believe youâre safe in your place of residency. Youâre given locks, blinds, a security gate- all measures designed to invoke a false illusion of privacy. Of course, there are defects that no one can plan for that have the ability to shatter this illusion.Â
Mine happened to be a badly placed window.Â
Finding this apartment felt akin to love at first sight. It sounds dramatic, but Iâm serious. Do you know how horrific real estate is these days? But when my eyes came upon piano oak flooring, the soft light of the day streaming onto a marble island, and of course, an in-home washer/dryer system, I was sold.Â
Due to my inherent awkwardness around meeting strangers, and lack of overt charm, Iâd never been one to initiate introductions with my neighbors. I moved in quietly, packing up my life into neat little boxes and dispersing them throughout the emptiness of my new space. It was only then, when I realized a strangely placed window that seemed to fall exactly where Iâd wanted my bed to be.Â
And while examining my outlandish situation, I saw him.Â
I didnât want to assume heâd been watching me. I wasnât paranoid like that. Nevertheless, I didnât want to give off the aura of, for lack of better words, a creep, Â so the quick aversion of my eyes from his gaze felt instinctual. Curiosity won over me a millisecond later, though, and against my better judgment, I quietly peered into the window again, wondering if the man in the glass had slipped away, or had looked away from where our eyes met last.Â
What I hadnât anticipated, however, was to be met with the unflinching stare of his eyes, far from concerned with how he came off, holding his gaze with an almost disconcerting and defiant presence.Â
He gave me a subtle nod, before walking away, disappearing from view. I was left feeling.. unsettled. But also strangely thrilled. There was a certain peculiarity in knowing you were susceptible to an audience at any given moment. I vaguely recalled social facilitation as a possible explanation as to why the concept roused me the way it did, but whatever it was, I didnât feel compelled to attach curtains or any kind of barrier to avoid the phenomenon.Â
While my thoughts occasionally drifted to the man, I didnât actually know anything about him. He lived in the building beside mine, so we didnât even share so much as a landlord. I truly never expected to gain any insight on him besides the location of his domicile in relation to mine, and the thought didnât bother me by any means. I was completely fine with letting our connection stay as severed as it was.Â
Fate, on the other hand, had other ideas.Â
I found myself a few weeks later, struggling with an overstuffed grocery bag in front of my building, and in a terrible game of mismanaged weight and the flimsiness of grocery-store plastic, my bag gave way, scattering the contents of it across the ground. Further misfortune plagued me, as the bag in question had been holding a good pound of lemons, that rolled quite far from where Iâd been standing. I immediately dropped to the ground, trying to gather up the ones by my feet in my arms, and noticed a presence nearby doing the same and bringing the runaway citrus to me. I was thankful, and was ready to express my gratitude to the helpful samaritan, until I saw a flash of recognition collectively pass over our faces as we made eye contact.Â
Him. The man in the window.Â
âYou dropped these.â He says, his voice a little quieter than Iâd expected from him, and I nod.Â
âYeah, no. Itâs these bags. Not really equipped to hold a pound of lemons.â I say, trying to gather the rest to my chest, our eyes still trained on the other.Â
âCan I ask why a pound of lemons?â He asks, a sort of playful lilt in his voice.Â
âLemonade.â I say, almost immediately.Â
Thereâs a bit of confusion that flashes over his face. âAre you making a joke?â He replies, furrowing his brows a bit.Â
I realize that my response mightâve come off as too deadpan, and I shake my head to correct his misconception. âOh, no. Iâm serious.â I say, offering a grin. âI love lemonade. Thereâs a work party Iâm attending, and I offered to make some for the office. Hence, the lemons.â I continued, gesturing at the aforementioned fruit, and feeling myself ramble slightly, but it didnât seem to offend the recipient.Â
âThat.. is a surprisingly normal response, given the situation.â The man says, nodding. âI love lemonade too.â He adds.Â
Thereâs a bit of silence as we both picked up lemons together, the man more focused than I on the task. I took the oppurtuinity within the lull of our conversation to truly examine the man, finally no longer separated by a pane of glass, and my observations all seemed to point towards one glaringly obvious conclusion.Â
The man in the window was hot.
He appeared older than me, yet his age did nothing to diminish the beauty of his features. His doe-like eyes seemed to shine with the same curiosity that I felt towards him. His hair was a bit longer than Iâd expect from a man his age, but it suited him. The smooth slope of his nose had a certain charm to it, and his cheekbones were impossibly sharp. I wanted to run my thumb over the bone, and kiss him senseless until we could barely remember our own names.Â
âIâm (Y/N). Youâre free to come over.â I say, a little more rushed than Iâd wanted to. âFor the lemonade, of course.â I add, trying to not drop the ball when it came to inviting this gorgeous man over to my apartment.Â
âSpencer.â He replies, offering his name to me. âI'll keep it in mind.â He says, smoothly. He flashes me a kind smile as he places the last of the lemons into my other bags or directly into my hands.Â
Iâd hoped âIâll keep it in mindâ meant âwithin the next few days or soâ but waiting seemed futile after a certain amount of time had passed. He never came, and I even stopped seeing him as often through the window in passing. In hindsight, it was rather naive to genuinely expect a near-stranger to come to my apartment, on account of an invitation that could have been interpreted as a thinly-veiled proposition.
It felt a bit dull, his lack of interest. Iâd had a taste of his attention, and for some reason, I was hooked. It was irrational, and illogical, but I couldnât help the desire I felt simply at the thought of this man. And in a mixture of perversion, desperation and pure brainlessness, I tried to use the one thing that had rarely failed me in the past. Sex.Â
I reasoned by telling myself it wasnât like it was guaranteed heâd see me.Â
And it wasnât as if I was standing directly by the window, exposing myself for his pleasure, and his pleasure only. So hey, if he saw my figure adorned in lacy lingerie in passing, and felt compelled to act on that in any way he chose, well. No harm, no foul, right?Â
So thatâs exactly what I did. To my benefit, it was one of the hottest summers D.C had ever had, so the lack of clothing worked in my favor. Iâd always felt quite confident in my own skin, so lounging around in bras, panties, barely-there cover-ups around my apartment didnât strike me as the oddest thing to do. I felt comfortable, and in turn, possibly seducing the man in the window. Win-win.Â
And âwinâ I did, in some way at least, because I noticed the arrival of lingerie correlated in a sudden uptick in the times Iâd see Spencer taking a longer-than-normal glimpse into my apartment. It was fucking exhilirating, to have his regard in this strange, taboo way. Iâd find myself imagining him, surrounded by a sea of sheets and pillows slowly stroking his cock to the images of my scantily-clad body. I had no real way of verifying if this was the actual case, but the fantasy was enough to bring heat to my cheeks and an ache in my panties.Â
It started to drive me a little crazy, however, when after a week of this, literally no tangible reward came from the fruits of my labor. While Iâd enjoyed his eyes on my form, that seemed to be all he was capable of. He seemed completely at ease with just watching (to my utter dismay) and it seemed the action I wanted him to take was sorely out of reach.Â
Reflecting on his shy, soft demeanor from the one time weâd spoken, I concluded that he might not be as forward as I am. It made sense; he never seemed to have visitors in his apartment and, seeming to be in his 40s without a stable partner, he probably wasn't accustomed to a woman's attention in this way. He didnât exactly exude âwomanizerâ anyway from what I knew about him, and I began to connect his lack of initiative to these points.
It didn't deter me from continuing my attempts though. At best, I was at least providing a lonely middle-aged man some sorely needed imagery in the meantime. Iâd always been a giver, anyhow.Â
Itâs reasonable to assume thereâd be some payoff down the road, right?Â
Wrong. I continued to wear increasingly revealing lingerie, going as far as just walking around naked once in a while. Nothing. I was a fucking saint at this point for continuing this for him.
It didnât help that my mind insisted on taunting me with what I couldnât have, as a moment of spare time in my day would constantly be preoccupied with thoughts of him in my bed, pinning my hands down and kissing up and down my neck. Iâd imagine him pounding into me, or bouncing up and down on his cock, bringing us both to the throes of pleasure. I couldnât halt the depravity of my thoughts, no matter how hard I tried.
What I also couldnât stop, was the slow descent of my fingers into my panties one night, finding a delectable mess within them, signifying my deep arousal associated with the man. Itâd been a long few weeks, the smell of summer and heat encasing my apartment, and a profound craving I couldnât resist. I breathed out a sigh of relief as I began rubbing the small nub, alternating between up and down motions, and then a slow, circular rub. Little moans poured out my lips, before I quickly shed my panties entirely, watching a string of arousal stuck to them, kicking them haphazardly to the side, wanting more access to my clit.Â
My eyes naturally closed as I found myself lazing towards the precipice of release. Soft sighs and moans filled my apartment as I let my fingers rub a bit more desperately. I could see flashes of him again behind my eyes, his hand on me, instead of my own, mirroring the actions I was performing. A gasp of his name came tumbling out of me as the image became clearer and clear, my eyes opening almost frantically as I felt myself closer and closer.Â
Thatâs when I got the strangest sensation, and felt a pair of eyes on me. I jolted my head to the left, and saw Spencer, who was clearly watching at this point. His gaze was entirely trained on me, and similar to the first time he saw me, our eye contact didnât deter him from his observation.Â
I refused to let it either, and kept my gaze trained on him. I was entirely exposed. I wouldnât have been able to stop my actions if Iâd had a gun to my head. It just felt too fucking good. A moment more of eye contact from him, and I felt the familiar clench and release from my body, waves of pleasure wracking my body. I let out another moan, but not once did my eyes leave his, as my back arched against my sheets, a silent plea on my part being conveyed. Â
Come here. What could you possibly be waiting for?Â
I watched him disappear from the window as I finished, both literally and figuratively, and panted, wondering if finally, finally, my prayers and fervent supplications would be answered.Â
After about 30 minutes, my anticipation was replaced with severe disappointment when I realized even after then, he wasnât coming. I could no longer see him in the window, and at this point it seemed a little silly and pathetic to continue expecting him to come.Â
Maybe he was just entirely sexually inadept. That could be a possibility, right? How much more explicit could I get than this? Iâd masturbated in front of him! Albeit, through a window, but masturbation regardless! Was this seriously all he was willing to do?Â
I roll my eyes at the thought. I came to accept that maybe, truly, there was nothing I could do to get this man to fuck me the way I deserved. Fine.
As I closed my eyes to get some necessary rest after my endeavors, I made up my mind that Iâd buy curtains tomorrow. Fuck Spencer Reid, and his absolute inability to take any action in his goddamn life. Fuck this apartment. Fuck everything.Â
Was I dramatic? Yes. Was I still right? Also yes.Â
Despite the sour mood Iâd taken to bed with me that evening, my dreams were anything but. The idea of Spencer Reid holding me down, whispering sweet and dirty nothings alike were all still incredibly tantalizing to my subconscious. I could hear his voice in my ear, soft pink lips brushing against the shell of my ear, a deep pressure imprinted onto my body, keeping me in my bed.Â
âWake up, sweetheart.â He murmured, beckoning me out of the peaceful cocoon of sleep.Â
I felt a few more wet and warm kisses trailing up and down my neck, the sweetest sensation of pleasure being granted to me with every touch he gave.Â
âNeed you to wake up, pretty girl.â He mumbles. âYou really are so pretty up close.â His voice is slightly patronizing, and it does nothing to help the excitation that was steadily growing inside of me.Â
Suddenly, I became incredibly aware that the stimuli I was receiving didnât appear to be a byproduct of my psyche, but rather- he was here? My eyes opened slowly to realize I wasnât at all mistaken, the soft brush of his brown hair against my neck slightly tickling me as I came to.Â
âAtta girl.â He mumbles, his lips still mapping out every inch of my skin. Out of pure instinct, a slightly alarmed moan came from me, still unsure if I was dreaming or not. Surely I had to be dreaming. I had to be, because how the fuck did Spencer Reid get into my apartment? Into my bed?Â
âYou want this, yeah?â He murmurs, taking a second to gaze down at me. I realized heâd been on top of me this whole time, and the pressure Iâd felt in my dream was his skin on mine, trapping me in between his strong chest and the soft sheets adorning my mattress. âI know you do. Saw your little show and everything.â He breathes out, desperately, almost.Â
I know I shouldâve thought about it. Perhaps I shouldâve pondered on the idea of letting a man whoâd just broken into my apartment full access to my body as he pleased, but there was no time. He was here, and how could I have ever said no to that?Â
Thereâs an equally as desperate and breathy, âyesâ that escapes my lips, and before I can finish saying the word, he dives down, meeting my lips with his, absolutely devouring me with no hesitation whatsoever. If I'd thought his previous ministrations were delightful, this was absolutely heavenly.Â
I moan softly into his mouth, wanting to tangle my hands in his hair, or latch them onto his shoulders and sink my nails deep into the skin that resided there- anything to show even a semblance of control in this situation, but it seemed Spencer had already thought of that, pinning my hands against the mattress so tightly, I couldnât have moved if Iâd exerted every last bit of strength into it.Â
âGod, the first time- first time I saw you.â He mumbles in between kisses. âWith those lemons. I knew theyâd fall. Saw you through the window across the street and practically ran. Wanted to meet you so badly.âÂ
A small whimper escapes me, and I canât help but get wetter at the thought. I knew heâd been watching me through the window, but the idea that I captured his attention, outside of my apartment, in the most mundane of situations only served to heighten the arousal I felt, my thighs rubbing together for any kind of relief.Â
He notices the movement and grins, planting one last kiss on my lips before slipping down. His hands cup the backs of my knees, forcing me to spread my previously shut legs.Â
âYou had the prettiest voice.â He breathes out, examining my glistening heat. âFuck. Couldnât stop thinking about how youâd sound, screaming my name.â He leans forward, planting a chaste kiss on my clit that caused an incredibly breathtaking jolt through my body.Â
âSpencer-â I moan, my head rolling back as I felt it, my back arching slightly.Â
âYeah, just like that.â He mumbles, clearly pleased. âGood girl.âÂ
His hands traveled upward from where heâd been situated between my legs and squeezed my breast blindly. It didnât feel like it was for my pleasure, but rather that he was desperate to touch anywhere he possibly could. Anyone else, and I mightâve been annoyed with the incessant touching, but with him?Â
 It was so fucking hot.Â
âThat goddamned lingerie.â He mumbles. âThe things I wanted to do to you. Did you know that?âÂ
I looked at him through hooded lids, unsure what he meant, and he took my diversion of attention to quickly tweak one of my nipples, eliciting another surprised moan from my mouth.Â
âIâm so much stronger than this, usually.â His large hands continue to squeeze and grope at my breasts. âBut you.â He whispers, a hint of a growl making its way into his tone. âHad to push the limits. Practically begging me to come here and take you.âÂ
I let out a gasp as I felt his hands trail down my stomach, the cool touch of his fingertips causing the muscles to tense up there.Â
âIâm gonna do it.â He whispers, his face only illuminated by the moonlight streaming through the open window, but I could still see the dangerous glint in his eye, thrilling me even further. âFuck you exactly how you want it.âÂ
Before Iâm able to react to the sentiment, heâs grabbing onto my hips and turning me over, a yelp drawn out from me.Â
âHands and knees.â He says, in an authoritative tone that doesnât leave any room for any disagreement. I comply quickly, much to his elation.Â
âYouâre so good for me, yeah? Gonna ruin you. Just how you want.âÂ
Thereâs a hint in condescension in his tone, like heâs making fun of me for wanting to be fucked this badly, but I can barely pay any mind about it, especially when I feel his cock slotting itself betweet my folds, separated only by his boxers, a shaky moan coming from Spencer.Â
I can feel his hands leaving my hips and the slight lean away as he quickly shucks off the fabric, and within the next second, heâs pushing into me, providing me with a stretch and fulfillment that was so much better than I couldâve ever imagined. It doesnât take him long to set a fast pace, the sound of our skin slapping and the smell of sex permeating the room.Â
âFuck, you feel so good.â He moans out, and I let out similar noises in tandem.Â
I can barely find it in me to stay coherent. I want to scream how good he feels, how big his cock feels in me, how close I was- but instead the only thing I could manage was the borderline scream of his name and loud sobs of pleasure, fully at the mercy of the man behind me. I can feel the way I clamp down on him, absolutely imploring him for as much as he could give me.Â
âGonna come for me, yeah?â He says, feeling the clench of my walls on his cock. âCome on, pretty girl. Give me what I want.â He murmurs lowly, leaning down closer to my ear. His hand shoots out a moment later, beginning to rub my clit, similar to how I had been doing a few hours earlier as he watched me, and the memory and sensation of it is enough to hurl me off the edge, my walls tightening around his cock as waves of pleasure wracked through my body.
It seemed that was enough for him as well. I felt his hips still, and a sudden warmth at my deepest point. He let out a groan of relief as he thrusted once, twice more, and then pulled out, his cum slipping down my thighs as he plopped down next to me. Iâd already collapsed the second he pulled out, panting as I came down from the orgasm.Â
âYou good?â He mumbles, wearily, and I can feel him moving aside my hair to kiss at my shoulder.Â
âMhm.â I murmur back, a small sigh of relief escaping me. Thereâs a beat of silence, before he breaks it.
âTomorrow.â He murmurs. âWanna go out with me?âÂ
I raise an eyebrow, turning at him with a playful expression- as playful as I could get in this state anyway. âWhere to?âÂ
âTarget.â He mumbles, still stroking my back lazily, his eyes shining with something less intense than lust now, but still enough to turn my stomach over with butterflies.
âTarget?â I say, squinting my eyes. âWhy Target?âÂ
âWeâre buying you some curtains.â He says, a small grin appearing on his face. âAnd maybe a stronger lock.âÂ
I giggle at that, rolling my eyes a bit. âBut then you donât get to see me anymore. I kind of liked what we had going on.âÂ
âI did too.â He whispers, his tone slightly vulnerable now. âBut I like this a lot more.âÂ
A small smile plasters itself to my face as I nod.
âMe too.â I whisper back, biting my lip.Â
A mutual understanding passed through the both of us as we smiled at each other in the dark, and for a split second, I imagined myself possibly loving this more someday.Â
All in good time. Right now, I was going to sleep, protected by his soft, strong arms. That was enough for now. Weâd finally gotten what we wanted.Â

Are we gonna talk about how that finale entirely erased any conversation about class divisions or are we too focused on ships?
Are we gonna talk about how Caitlyn for a good chunk of the season willingly enforces violence and opression against the lowest class, no doubt directly causing more deaths and suffering, and she is forgiven by the narrative without any meaningful reflecting?
Her great moment getting together with Vi is right after she JUST had a conversation with Jinx where we see she STILL doesn't recognize any class bias she clearly has, insted making it about HER.
Her and the other enforcers are treated like noble heroes in the final battle, all the blame put on Ambesa. Vi's happy ending is getting into a relationship with the exact type of person who perpetuated all the suffering she endured as a child.
Are we gonna talk about how Jayce never leaves his privilege pedestal, never actually reflects on how he was also enforcing violence to the people of the undercity and living on his bliss of progress at THEIR expense?
Jayce, who got help on every step of the way to get to where he is, who wasn't disabled, who never lived the kind of poverty or class obstacles Viktor did, who never recognized the harm he enabled and was complicit to, HE was the one to tell Viktor "People build their own destiny." and "There is beauty in imperfection" ?????
Not to mention the whole bit where he implies Viktor did all that because he wanted to "eradicate what he thought was weakness"??? Didn't we stablished Viktor wanted to HELP THE PEOPLE FROM THE UNDERCITY TO HAVE BETTER LIFE CONDITIONS?? don't try to gaslight me.
I know this is just a TV show, but I need to remind everyone that what perpetuates opressive, discriminatory and violent systems as long and as deeply as they do is indiference. Is turning your head and enabling others to stay ignorant.
Edit: You guys are misunderstanding me. And I admit it is probably my fault, I wrote this high with emotion I wasn't as eloquent.
Jayce's exact choice of words or his time living in the alternate world is nowhere near my point.
My point is, that the narrative is establishing that the privileged character, is the one that has to show (and is quite literally, textually, always the one to show) the underprivileged character that "he was looking at life the wrong way." Forgetting that Viktor's journey of feeling powerless was greatly influenced by the fact he was poor and from the undercity.
That's what I meant by it erasing the part of the plot about class systems. In the end, the story only requires Jayce to understand Viktor's struggle on a superficial level, but the text never recognizes that it as the product of a deeply rooted SYSTEMIC ISSUE. One Jayce and even Viktor on some level, benefited from and perpetuated.
Understanding Viktor still doesn't give him any moral ground, and nobody ever challenges him on that because the story isn't interested in that anymore.
And the same with Caitlyn. She knows what she did what's wrong, fine, she feels bad. Like I said, she still has a class bias, and no character challenges her on it again because the story derails to magic and fighting and whatnot.
The plot just forgets (or ignores) that layer of the story despite it being so prominent up until now.
And ignoring the class discussion does a disservice to every single character because they were initially built on it. You can see it in how they lose the essence they had on s1.
I know y'all love the characters and want to empathize with all their motivations, okay? But the fundamental issue is that characters also represent things, and more so in a story as political as this one. We also have the right to point out that the show told us they represented something and then abandoned that narrative.
What do I think they could have done differently? If I tell you scene by scene we could be here for an entire year. The gist of it is: I think they should have stuck to the character themes they already had established.
Vi as someone fiercely loyal to the undercity beyond her relationship with Powder/Jinx, and being "cursed" by the role of the older sister. Jayce as someone with good intentions but who is ultimately limited by his blind idealism. Mel as a cunning politician who thinks she is on the right path because she isn't violent like her mother, not realizing she is still perpetuating it. Caitlyn as someone kind and compassionate who realizes the institutions she believed in are fundamentally flawed, and because of the way they are built will never be on the side of kindness. Etc, etc.
None of that gets any meaningful resolution.
I am glad if you liked it, or got something from it, you are entitled to your opinion.
I wanted to say this because I was angry, and still am. Because there was so much incredible potential, and honestly, to me, it feels like the writers chickened out on actually saying something in the end.
That's all I have to say about that.

Doctor's In - Part 8
Summary: It's Thanksgiving, your first official holiday with Wanda. Someone stops by to create a little havoc.
Wanda Maximoff x F!R
All the houses look the same, at least to him. The navigation system in his rental car isnât any better.
Or maybe his sister gave him a fake address just to mess with him.
After a while, he decides itâs enough, pulling over when he sees someone jogging around the neighborhood.
âExcuse meâ
âHeyâ the woman says, stopping. Her smile is wide, and Pietroâs taken aback by how friendly she seems with a stranger.
âIâm looking for an address, can you help me out?â
âSureâ
âItâs Hill Drive 216â
âRight, well all you have to do is drive straight ahead for five blocks. Then turn right and then leftâ the woman says, leaning over the car window. As sheâs giving directions, he canât help but stare at her toned legs in full display.
âI really appreciate it. Maybe I can buy you some coffee to thank you?â
âSure. See ya aroundâ she says with a smirk, running in the opposite direction. Pietro didnât get her number, but he figures she might know Wanda. So theyâll meet again.
In no time, he finds Wandaâs house. The woman is already sitting in the porch, as if she can feel her twin brother coming.
âThis was supposed to be a surprise. You donât look surprisedâ
âYou asked my neighbor for my address. She called to know if you were a creep so sheâd call the cops on youâ
âWhat? She was so nice. And sheâs very hot. You should have told me you had hot neighborsâ
Wanda gives him a cryptic smile, but he doesnât have time to ask the meaning behind it, as Tommy and Billy come running down the stairs.
âUncle Pietro!â
âBratanâ he says, allowing the boys to tackle him to the ground. âYouâre so big! What is your mom feeding you two?â
The boys laugh, pulling him inside so they can tell him all about school, soccer and their videogames.
A half hour later, thereâs a knock at the door.
âIâll get itâ he volunteers. To his surprise, the girl he spoke to earlier is on the other side. Sheâs now wearing jeans and a long sleeved sweater.
âHey, Pietroâ
âI didnât⌠tell you my nameâ
But before he can connect the dots, Wanda walks past him, standing on her toes to kiss the woman.
âHey, baby. Apparently you already met Pietroâ
âOh, yeah. Heard he was hoping to get a hot date out of some simple directionsâ
At that, his sister and her girlfriend let out a laugh, and he groans, hiding his face in his hands.
â
It was totally worth it, to see Pietroâs face as realization hit him. You were Wandaâs girlfriend.
He looks shocked, and embarrassed as you walk past him, Wandaâs hand in yours.
âAt least the Maximoffs have consistency in their tasteâ you comment, making Wanda laugh and Pietro blushes.
âShe never sent me a picture of you, ok? How was I to know?â
âI didnât send it because I knew youâd fall for her and she is all mineâ Wanda rolls her eyes, arms around your waist. You kiss her temple, smiling.
âAre you staying for Thanksgiving?â you ask, curious about his plans for the holidays.
âThatâs the ideaâ
âYouâre little buddy Rogers isnât joining us?â you glare, so he knows you know what he tried to do.
âOh, yeah. Heard you felt threatened by him. Still jealous, Y/N?â
âJealous? Iâm a Trauma surgeon, for goodness sake. What is your job, by the way? Snowboarding? Or do you call it snow? You know, like Ken in the Barbie movieâ
âIt gets me all the girlâs phone numbersâ he arches an eyebrow.
âYou certainly didnât get mineâ
âStop itâ Wanda laughs it off to ease the tension, standing between you two. âItâs Thanksgiving. The holidays. A time to forgive and enjoyâ
âFine,â he agrees. âTruce?â
âNot until you take the kids for a movie so we have an afternoon to ourselvesâ you say, because now that youâre back to work itâs been harder to get alone time with your girlfriend.
âAlrightâ
â
âItâs very important to meâ Wanda says, stuttering lightly as you kiss down her neck.
âOf course, babyâ you say, holding her hips as she tries to continue the conversation. Sheâs saying something against your lips, so you roll her nipple between your fingers, which makes her quiet for a few minutes.
Then, youâre between her legs when she starts talking again.
âHeâs my brother, weâve known each other our whole lives. I really want him to get to know youâ
âWandaâ you sigh, defeated. You look up, with a smile at her disheveled state. âCan we not talk about your brother when Iâm eating you out?â
âSorryâ
You kiss her thighs, going up to lie next to her.
âOr am I that bad at giving you head these days, baby?â
âItâs not thatâ she rushes to say, straddling your lap. Wanda pecks your lips to appease you, hands going up and down your arms. You squeeze her hips, encouraging her to continue. âBut I mean it, I want you to get alongâ
âI was joking before. Mostlyâ
âY/Nâ she whines and you smile.
âOk, I just feel⌠the last time we almost broke up because he was trying to test me using Steve, right? Iâm a bit butthurt about it, you know Iâm proud and petty like that. And Iâm not⌠Iâve never met someoneâs family. I told you Iâm not good with this relationship stuffâ
âAll you have to do is tryâ she says, leaning down to kiss you. âAnd absolutely nothing will break us apart, my loveâ
âPromise?â
âSwearâ she says against your lips. You kiss her again, hands going down to her ass.
âCan I carry on now or would you like to talk about more family members?â
âCarry onâ Wanda giggles when you flip her on her back, but those turn to moans pretty soon, feeling how your tongue works through her folds.
â
âOk, guys, just like we practicedâ Pietro says as he parks in the street, looking at the twins. They nod, staying inside the car while their uncle walks to the door.
âHey, sestra⌠ah, seriously?!â
All he sees as he walks in is his sisterâs head thrown back on the couch, and he can guess where you are.
âI thought you locked the doorâ Wanda reprimands you, but you just smirk, getting dressed. You make sure that only Pietro is within earshot when you smack Wandaâs ass, and she yelps.
The man is glaring when Wanda opens the door, her hair a mess and your shirt all wrinkled.
âWhere are the kids? Why are they waiting in the car?â
In that moment, the twins open the car door, and you can see they are carrying a small, white dog. You want to cackle, because Pietro is so dead. But you keep a neutral expression, staying behind Wanda.
âYou idiotâ Wanda says, followed by a string of curses in Sokovian. Youâve never seen her this upset and itâs kinda hot.
âCome on, kids. Letâs go back to my place and bathe this little dudeâ
âNo, please donât leave me alone with herâ Pietro pleads as Wanda pulls him by the ear.
âSorry, I donât want to be a witness to whatever it is sheâll do to youâ you give him finger guns, hurrying back to take the kids to your place. Itâs pretty obvious Wanda wonât appreciate you using her bathtub to take care of the pup.
âSo, wanna tell me what happened?â you say once youâre in the bathroom.
âWell, we found Sparky outside the cinema. He was looking for food in the garbage and was so sad and aloneâ
âDo you think Mom will let us keep him?â Tommy says.
âLetâs take him to the vet tomorrow. Maybe he escaped home and his owners are looking for himâ
The boys remain silent as you rinse the soap from Sparkyâs fur. Of course, he shakes as soon as youâre done, drops of water flying everywhere. Billy and Tommy laugh, which makes you smile.
They had never brought up the subject of pets, but you have a feeling that itâs because Wanda had told them that the answer was going to be no, no matter what.
You use an old t-shirt and your blow dryer to get him all fluffy. He is a cute dog, thatâs for sure.
âCome on, letâs get back homeâ you tell the kids, letting Tommy carry Sparky.
Pietro is in the porch, hand on his cheek as he sulks around the stairs. His ear is so red from all the pulling that Wanda did and you almost want to laugh.
âShe wonât talk to meâ he mumbles like a grumpy teenager.
âJeez, I wonder whyâ
You walk inside, going straight to Wandaâs room. Still, you knock and let her know itâs you.
âHey, love. Woahâ as soon as you open the door sheâs hugging you, and you donât know if her tears are from anger or sadness. âIâm here, whatâs wrong?â
âPietro is so⌠immature! Why would he think itâs a good idea to bring a dog into my home? He is always like this. Now, Iâll have to tell the kids we canât keep him and they will hate meâ
âWanda, they wonât hate you. Breathe for meâ you run your hands up and down her back. âHereâs what weâll do. Tomorrow I will drive with the kids to the vet, theyâll check for a microchip or anything else that tells us if he has a familyâ
âThey always wanted a pet and I just couldnât do it, it was too much work for one person and IâŚâ
âAnd you are not alone anymore, ok? You have me. And as it happens, my familyâs always had dogs. Donât stress, leave it to meâ you say, kissing her temple.
âThank you. Iâm staying here. Can you make sure the kids have dinner?â
âOf course, babyâ
You make a couple of sandwiches and let the kids eat in the living room, while Sparky walks around and smells everything. Itâs a good sign that heâs not peeing in every surface of the house.
Once the kids have dinner, you take the dog to the backyard, noticing the wooden fence needs some work, or Sparky will be able to escape.
Another thing on your list.
âIs Mom mad at us?â Billy asks when youâre upstairs, tucking them in. Sparky is in the corner, sleeping between Tommyâs shoes.
âNot at all, kiddo. Sheâs just not sure we can take care of Sparky. Dogs can be a lot of work, ya know?â
âDid you have dogs?â Tommy says from his bed and you nod.
âYeah, we had all kinds of dogs. Big ones, small like Sparky. You have to walk them, feed them, take them to the doctorâŚâ
âMaybe it is a lot of workâ Billy says, dropping his shoulders.
âHey, no worries, we will figure it out. Just make sure youâre nice to your mom. She just wants the best for everyone. Rest now. And Sparky doesnât sleep on anyoneâs bed, got it?â
The kids giggle at that, and you roll your eyes, knowing theyâll probably break that rule.
â
âWeâre homeâ you announce.
âHow did it go?â Wanda says, while Pietro is in the living room, pretending to read.
âNo microchip. But he did get blood work and everything seems fine, we also got him dewormed and he can start with vaccination in two weeksâ
âYou know a lot about dogsâ Pietro says, but shuts his mouth the minute Wanda turns to glare.
âSo, yeah. We could call a shelter and ask if they can take himâ
âBut he would be in one of those cages, aloneâ Wanda says, sounding sad.
âI guessâ
âLetâs just keep him until we figure something outâ she decides, looking as the kids play with the dog in the front yard.
âYeah, ok. We got him some kibble, plates, a new leash and a bed, so heâs all set. Iâll just have to fix the fenceâ
âOh? Will you wear your tool belt?â she says, biting her lip. Pietro gags from his place in the couch. Wanda turns to scold him. âKeep it up and youâre staying in a hotelâ
âBossy. And mean. I love itâ you say, pulling her closer. You share a quick, but passionate kiss.
âI could fix the fenceâ Pietro offers.
âYou donât even know how to drive a nail,â Wanda argues.
âIâm trying to do something nice, sestraâ
âYouâve done enoughâ
They begin to argue like a couple of teenagers so you have to step between them, raising your hands.
âEnough. Pietro can help me when I fix the fence. We all win. Isnât that great? Two of your favorite people working togetherâ you say.
âOnly oneâ Wanda says and Pietro is ready to fight when you snap your fingers.
âTo your corner, Pietroâ you warn him, dragging Wanda to the kitchen. âHey, gorgeousâ
âMmm?â she melts when you rub that spot in her lower back that always relaxes her.
âI donât think Pietro meant to do any harm with this. At most, he thought youâd end up loving Sparky more than meâ Wanda laughs, and she leans against you. âHeâs visiting and youâre always talking about how much you miss him, so try to forgive himâ
âYouâre rightâ
âYou sound surprised,â you joke, kissing her softly. âI have work. Iâll be back tomorrow, ok?â
âDonât leave. I know nothing about dogsâ she pleads.
âIâm always one call away, love of my lifeâ you promise.
â
Five missed calls. You sigh when you leave the OR, though it is from an unknown number.
Before you can return the call or contact Wanda to make sure sheâs fine, Darcy finds you, dragging you by the hand without any explanation.
âDoes this belong to you?â she says, pulling the curtain to reveal Pietro, holding an ice pack against his right hand.
âIt belongs to my girlfriendâ
âIt? Seriously?â he complains, but Darcy ignores him.
Came in with hammered fingers and cries every time I try to examine himâ
âI will take a look. Thanks, palâ you force him to remove the ice pack, ignoring his protests. âWhat happened?â
âI tried to fix the fenceâ
âMhmâ you bend his fingers and move them around, trying to check if thereâs a fracture. He complains and tries to jank his hand back, but you donât let him.
âCanât you take some X-Rays?â
Now, whereâs the fun in that?
âHonestly, I think youâll just have some swelling and pain. Letâs put a bandage in those three fingers and make sure you donât move them too muchâ
âAt least Wandaâs less mad at meâ
You smile.
âGlad to hear it. Did she drive you here?â
âNo, I wasn't in the mood to be lectured. I just told her I needed something from the hardware store and came straight to the ERâ
You nod, writing a prescription for him. Once youâre done, you take the hand, bandaging the three fingers together.
âYou know, I just worryâ he interrupts the silence.
âAbout what?â
âWell, has she ever told you about the twinsâ father?â
You glance back at him, arching an eyebrow.
âNo, and I respect that. If she ever feels like telling me, Iâm sure she will. So Iâd appreciate it if we keep it at that, Pietroâ
âIâll just say, he was the biggest asshole. And it almost destroyed her. I promised myself no one would hurt her againâ
You nod, still working in silence. Of course, the shovel talk. After the stunt he pulled with Rogers, this is nothing, really. Going along and nodding a few times might just do the trick.
âTo be fair, I never liked him. Youâre fine, I guessâ
âI can live with being just fine in the eyes of Frosty the snowmanâ you mutter, finishing the bandaging and giving him some pills. âNow go back home and let me take care of the fence when Iâm thereâ
An ambulance parks right outside of the ER and you excuse yourself. You donât notice Pietro hanging back, watching as you help the paramedics move a woman from their gurney to a hospital bed.
It isnât until a few hours later when youâre out of the OR and see a text from Wanda that you remember the incident.
Wanda: Thank you for checking Pietro.
Y/N: Happy to help the evil twin, love.
Wanda: What would that make me? The good twin?
Y/N: The hot, beautiful, angel twin.
The sound of your pager snaps you back to reality, which means the last hours of your shift will be busy.
â
âI should go and helpâ
âPlease, donâtâ
Wanda and Pietro are sitting in the backyardâs deck, watching as you fix the fence.
âDid you get Sparky as a test? To see how sheâd react?â
âThat is actually a great idea but noâ Pietro laughs, stretching his arms. âI canât believe you donât rememberâ
âRemember what?â
âWe were at school, back in Sokovia when we were five or six. The teacher asked us to draw our pet, but we didnât have one soâŚâ
âSo you drew a dragon and said you wanted one for our birthdayâ Wanda suddenly remembers, frowning. âBut what did I draw?â
âA white dog, with a very pink nose and fuzzy hair. And when we were at the theater, I saw him and thought, thatâs my sisterâs dogâ
Wanda laughs, trying not to cry at her brotherâs antics, wiping the corner of her eyes before she gets emotional. She reaches for his hand and he squeezes it, smiling.
âWhy havenât you told her about how you had the twins?â Pietro asks after a while, his voice soft.
âBecause⌠Iâm afraid sheâll see me differently. And I donât know if itâs worth it, dwelling in the past. Itâs done and nothing can change itâ
âItâs not about dwelling in the past, itâs about sharing everything that makes you who you are. And thatâs a big part of itâ Pietro insists, standing up when the boys show up with Sparky. âWeâre going to the park. See you for dinnerâ
Wanda stays on the deck, watching as you finish replacing the last wooden panel.
âI am so ready for a shower and a napâ you sigh, plopping down next to her. âAt least Sparky can be out safely nowâ
âHow can I pay for your very hard work?â Wanda says, and your hand squeezes her thigh.
âI can think of a few ways, Mrs. Maximoff. But when Iâm not all sweatyâ
âYouâll have to leave the toolbelt on, thoughâ she says, making you laugh as you kiss the spot behind her ear.
You enjoy the breeze as you sit together on the deck, drinking a beer while Wanda looks out her yard.
âIf I told you something, would you promise not to judge me?â
âI would never, my loveâ you say, putting a strand of hair behind her ear gently. âWhat is it?â
âItâs about the twinsâ
âUh. Did Pietro put you up for this?â you click your tongue. âYou donât have to tell me anything; whatever the situation is, I imagine itâs not easyâ
âI think⌠It would help explain why heâs so protective of me. And I want you to know, I doâ
âAlright, then. Iâm listeningâ
It takes her a moment to gather her thoughts, looking at her clasped hands.
âWe met in collegeâ she begins. âI was 20 and he was on an exchange program. Came from Oxford University, I think. We were in different faculties but somehow crossed paths at a party and got talking. It was the first time I was in loveâ
âHe was elegant and acted like a gentleman, and said funny things without being crass. He acted differently than the rest of guys I ever tried to date. So we were together the whole semester, until winter break came. I was considering inviting him over to spend Christmas with us when he got an unexpected visit from his fianceâ
You breathe deeply, knowing where this is going. Wanda still wonât look at you, and she takes a moment to continue.
âUhm. So, yeah. The minute I saw them together I wanted to scream, but all I could do was hide. I felt like such an idiot. He didnât even try to find me and apologize. And for a few weeks I was⌠sick. I threw up every morning, and felt tired. But I thought it was stressâ
âWanda, Iâm so sorryâ you say, pulling her close and kissing her temple. She leans against you, letting your touch ground her. Wandaâs hand goes to hold your own, and you squeeze it, trying to show your support.
âWhen I realized what it was, I tried talking to him. I thought he at least deserved to know. But he just wanted to give me some money to deal with it, in his wordsâ
Those words make your heart ache, but you grit your teeth. You admire Pietroâs self control more than ever.
âIâm gonna need you to give me a name so I can find him and kill himâ
âI let that go, for my sake. I had two babies to care for. No matter how it happened, I knew I always wanted them. So I told my parents everything and then Pietro, wellâŚâ
âHe went crazy, I can imagine. Canât really blame himâ
âSo, now you know it all. I still have things to figure out, because sometimes the kids ask me about their father and I donât know how to tell them he never cared about usâ she sighs, leaning against you.
âWeâll figure it out together, when the time comesâ you promise, kissing her cheek. âAnd you donât have to be afraid of me judging you, you did nothing wrong, Wands. Iâm so sorry you had to go through thatâ
âI just thought⌠I wanted you to knowâ
âDid you ever see him again? I mean, does he even know their names?â
âNo, and I hope it stays that way. If he comes back, I donât want him anywhere near Tommy and Billyâ her voice shakes with emotion, and a bit of her accent comes back.
âThatâs ok. We wonât let it happenâ you promise, kissing her temple.
âI love youâ
âI love you too. And our boysâ
âAnd our dogâ she says, which makes you look back at her. She smiles at your shocked expression. âWeâre keeping Sparky. No further commentâ
âYes, Maâamâ
â
The twins couldnât believe it when Wanda told them they could keep Sparky. Pietro smiled as the kids hugged their mother, promising to always take care of him.
âYouâre the best mom ever!â Tommy says, running around the living room.
âYouâre welcomeâ Pietro mocks as he walks past her, and she elbows him.
You spend the evening watching a movie in the living room, Sparky sitting between both boys.
The 36 hour shift, coupled with the work on the backyard leaves you exhausted, so 15 minutes into the movie you begin to fall asleep.
âCome on, sweetheartâ Wanda says when your head keeps loling to the side. âYou need to restâ
âNo, but I wanna know what happens with Big Welderâ you mumble. Wanda stands up, kissing your forehead and pulling you all the way to the stairs. After brushing your teeth and almost sleeping while standing up, you plop down in bed, taking everything off and deciding to sleep in nothing but your underwear.
âVery temptingâ Wanda comments when she sees you.
âI thought youâd be watching the movieâ you stretch, appreciating how Wandaâs eyes linger on your breasts.
âUh, they started playing video games. So that was my cue to goâ she crawls into bed with you, not ready to go to sleep but wanting to share some alone time. âBefore I forget, who are you inviting for Thanksgiving?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âWell, dinner. Weâre having turkey, the Bartonâs are stopping byâŚ. You do know itâs this Thursday, right?â
âI havenât had a Thanksgiving dinner in like 15 yearsâ
âYouâre kiddingâ Wanda says, and you shrug your shoulders.
âI started volunteering when I was 16 to avoid being home. And you know I rarely went back for that stuff. I think the most Iâve done is eat pizza with Darcy while weâre workingâ
âWell, Darcy should come too! Have her over, I only get to see her at the hospitalâ
âYou sure?â you say, smiling nervously. All you know about holidays in the last decade has been the chaos of a hospital.
âYeah. Itâs gonna be great, youâll love itâ she promises, kissing you.
â
Chaos isnât exclusive to the ER, it seems. Youâve had a busy morning, mowing the lawn, cleaning the deck and getting ready to set a large table for everyone whoâs joining. To your annoyance, Pietro is using his bruised hand as an excuse to not help.
âYouâre doing greatâ he gives you a thumbs up and you want to throw the broom straight to his head.
âYou could help your sister in the kitchenâ you say, wiping the sweat from your forehead and coming to look over his shoulder. âTinder? Seriously?â
âYeah, check this outâ he says, showing you some of the matches heâs had.
âOh, wowâ you whistle at a picture of a blonde woman in a bikini. Youâre about to comment something else when you hear a cough behind you. Of course, Wanda is staring, her signature head tilt letting you know youâre in danger.
âI mean, oh, wow, what a horrible, unattractive person. Blegh. So not my typeâ you say, pretending to gag.
âIâm only letting it slide because itâs Thanksgivingâ she warns and you nod.
âYes, love. Iâm sorryâ
Pietro snorts and you turn to slap the back of his head.
âSestra, are you gonna let her do that to your brother?â
âYesâ Wanda says, leaning forward to snatch his phone. âCome help me in the kitchen. Nowâ
âYou know, Iâm twelve minutes olderâ he says as they go back inside.
Once youâre done with mowing and picking up the dry leaves, you set a table across the backyard and some lights for extra decoration. Hoping the kids wonât look, you set up a trampoline you know theyâve been asking for.
âAlright, come superviseâ you ask Wanda, and for some reason the entire Maximoff entourage follows behind.
âIt looks amazing!â she says, inspecting the lights you installed. âI love theseâ
âI know. I may have stalked your Pinterest board, @witchy16â
âBilly, look!â Tommy points at the trampoline, running to try it out, his brother close behind.
âBe carefulâ Wanda warns. âIâm not sure I love thatâ
âThey can use it only when Iâm aroundâ you promise, turning to her. âThat way I can get more alone time with my girlâ
Wanda laughs, but the sound is drowned out by your lips on hers, and your hands travel south to squeeze her ass.
âIâm right here!â Pietro complains, which makes you smirk.
âI didnât see you, sorryâ Wanda says.
âI didâ you smile, earning a slap on the shoulder from your girlfriend. Something pings in the kitchen, so she excuses herself.
âYou know, we usually save the presents for lastâ
âWhat presents? This isnât Christmasâ you say.
âPeople give each other presents during Thanksgiving too. Isnât it obvious? How do you give thanks to someone? You get them somethingâ he insists, which makes you doubt yourself. Pietro leaves to join the twins on the trampoline.
Maybe heâs right. What if Wanda got you something and after everything sheâs done to make sure you enjoy this holiday, you have nothing to give back.
Fuck.
âHey, sweetheart. Are you done in the backyard?â Wanda says when you walk in.
âI⌠yeah. Do you want me to do anything else?â
âNo, thatâs fine. Iâm just letting everything in the oven for now. Come sitâÂ
âActually⌠I need to go check somethingâ you lie, feeling awful about it. But you have to get her a present.
âAt the hospital?â
âYes. I wonât take long, I promiseâ you say when she looks disappointed. âIâll be back in an hour and Iâll help with whateverâs missingâÂ
âI just want us to spend time together,â she smiles, taking your hands. You lean forward, kissing her. âOh, and call Darcy, I just want to confirm sheâs comingâ
âYes, my loveâÂ
Pretending to be super calm, you walk to your car. You only let panic take over when youâre driving around, finding the traffic to be awful. Seems like people always leave everything for the last minute, and you hate yourself for not thinking about this sooner.
You canât let Wanda down.
Darcyâs the only person who can help out, so you call her while you try to find a place to park.
âHelloâ
âHey. Wanda wanted to confirm youâre coming to dinnerâ
âI am, only for the amazing food. But the hospital will page me if thereâs an emergency so donât expect me to stay for longâ
âGot it. By the way, did uh, your family happen to give each other presents during Thanksgiving?â
âNo, they only get drunk and yell at each other. Why? Do I have to bring a present? Because then Iâm outâ
âNo, that was just me being stupid, never mind. See you at sevenâ
You hang up, leaving the car to walk around the shops. Most of them are closed, because of course, itâs a holiday. The only places still working are supermarkets. So, what? Will you have to get your perfect girlfriend toilet paper and say âhappy holidaysâ?
After walking down several blocks, you finally find a jewelry store open.Â
âWelcome. How can I help you?â a woman says.
âHi. I canât believe youâre open at this time of dayâ you comment, looking around the store. Wanda never really wears bracelets, or earrings. Necklaces, yes. Though theyâre always very discreet.Â
âYou wouldnât believe the amount of people who have to buy a peace offering for the holidaysâÂ
âHuhâ
âOr last minute engagementsâÂ
âOh. Thatâs definitely not the caseâ you smile, and something behind the woman catches your eye. âThatâs a nice pearl necklaceâ
The woman puts on her sales hat, telling you every detail about the very elegant, very real pearls and how it is an absolute must for any woman. It honestly doesnât take a lot of convincing. Itâs beautiful and you remember how Wanda mentioned she always wanted one, but considered it a bit of a silly expense with two kids and no real use for it.
âIâll take itâÂ
âYou donât want to look at the price?â
âI imagine itâs those four figures thereâ
âYesâ
âYeah. Thatâs fine. Iâm a trauma surgeonâ you explain with a smile, feeling a little smug.Â
âSheâs a lucky ladyâ
You donât really agree, considering this is very last minute. For the twins, you decide to take some of the Christmas presents you started to buy for them and store at your house.
And as much as Pietro annoys you, youâll have to get him something too.Â
Looking at the time, you decide to keep shopping for a bit longer, hoping no one notices if youâre gone too long.Â
Wanda definitely notices. By the time you come back home, youâre sneaking around with a few boxes but she comes out of the kitchen.
âWhere have you been?âÂ
Her tone makes you jump, and you look at her with wide eyes.
âIâŚâ
âDoesnât matter. I need you to go to the supermarket and get me some boxes of mac and cheese for all the kids. And a few bottles of wine, in case Laura and Clint stay longerâÂ
âOkâ you say, wishing she had called you since you were around the supermarket not long ago.Â
By the time you finish all her errands, itâs four and youâll only have an hour or two to rest.Â
âHey, hereâs everything you asked forâ you greet with a smile, hoping Wanda is less stressed now.
âOh, thank you, sweetheart. I think the Bartons arenât even staying for dinner so I made you go for no reason, Iâm sorryâ
âItâs okâ you say, putting your arms around her. âWhatâs wrong?â
âI want this to be perfect. For you to know that having a family is nice so you wonâtâŚâ she trails off, trying not to look at you.
âSo I wonât, what?â
âSo you wonât leave. Itâs sillyâ
âHey, Iâd never leave⌠sorryâ you grumble, looking at your phone and ignoring the call.
âIf you need to pick up...â
âItâs just my landlord asking about the lease renewalâ you roll your eyes which makes her laugh. âAs I was saying, I donât need a perfect Thanksgiving as a reason to stay. I love you. Thatâs itâ
âI love you tooâ she smiles, leaning forward to kiss you. With your hands on her cheeks, you deepen the kiss, enjoying how she sighs against your lips when your tongue darts out. Then, your hands travel south to squeeze her ass, encouraging her to put her legs around your waist.Â
âHey, can weâŚ? Ugh, not againâ Pietro says, covering his eyes. âWeâre thirstyâ
Without dropping Wanda, you go through the stuff in the fridge and hand him some drinks.
âWeâll be upstairs, donât go up in⌠20 minutesâ you say, making Wanda giggle.
âYou guys are gross,â Pietro complains, crashing against the table as he keeps his eyes closed.
âCome on, letâs make those 20 minutes countâ you say, carrying Wanda to the bedroom.
â
The Bartons arrive at 7, just like Wanda told them to. Sparky is the main attraction, as all the kids coo and aw at the funky little dog that loves all the attention.
âPietro, nice to finally meet you. Iâve heard so much about youâ Laura says.
âOnly good things, I hopeâ
âThat must have been a short conversationâ you laugh at your own joke, while Pietro glares.
The kids run around the yard as Laura and Wanda chat, Clint handing over Nathaniel to you while Pietro talks about his job.
Darcy shows up a little later, and you make your rounds, introducing her to everyone that hasnât met her yet.Â
âYou againâ she says when her eyes land on Pietro.Â
âWhat? Youâve heard a lot about me too?âÂ
âYeah, mostly bad shitâ
âBad wordâ all the kids turn to point at her, and she facepalms.
âFuckâ
âTwo bad words!â Cooper says. Laura covers Lilaâs ears, though she is laughing. You clasp your hands over Darcyâs mouth because you know she can keep going forever.
âKids, have you tried going on our brand new trampoline? You can take Sparky with youâ that gets them distracted enough, running away to the backyard. âThere. Donât worry, it took me a minute to get used to the no swearingâ
âThis is why I donât hang out at PG-13 events. Anyways, I brought some stuff to make pumpkin cocktails and guacamole. Help yourselvesâ Darcy says, holding a bag of tortilla chips.
âNobody eats guacamole at Thanksgivingâ Pietro says.Â
âThey do if theyâre Mexican. We can pretend. Iâll call you Pedro all night longâ Darcy says just to annoy him. âPlus, this is all I can makeâÂ
âAre all surgeons bad cooks?â Wanda teases, and youâre dumb enough to answer honestly.
âNot all! Carol is actually a great⌠huhâ you scratch the back of your neck at Wandaâs glare.Â
âSomeoneâs in trouble,â Pietro guesses.
âYeahâ Wanda tilts her head, making you smile weakly.Â
âIâm making cocktailsâ Darcy interrupts everyone, dragging you to the kitchen. For a while, you talk about some patients that arrived during the day, but it was still a strangely calm shift at the hospital. It was usually busy during dinner or after that some people got injured, while driving back home.Â
âTake this to Wanda, that will make her forget that Carol commentâÂ
Approaching slowly, you put the drink in front of your girlfriend, who takes a sip and then coughs.
âWow, what is this?â she laughs, the alcohol strong enough to knock her off her feet.
âA fire hazardâ Clint comments, able to smell it across the table. Still, Wanda sips on the drink and nods, enjoying the taste.
âGo easy, Miss Maximoffâ you joke, which makes her smile.
âI still remember why Iâm mad at youâ
âThen forget what I said, take these like tequila shotsâ
âCarol is an ex,â Pietro says, putting together the information.Â
âAs in Carol Danvers? Niceâ Clint comments, earning a slap on the arm by Laura.
âThread carefullyâÂ
âAh, jeez. Look what you made me doâ Clint laughs, looking at you.
âPumpkin cocktail for Laura coming right upâ
âIâll bring it, I have to check the turkeyâ Wanda says, slightly slurring her words.Â
âIf you go anywhere near the oven, leave that thing hereâ Clint points out, not wanting to put out fires on his day off.
You take Wandaâs place, sipping casually on the rest of her drink. Everyone stares as you donât even make a face to the amount of alcohol on it.
âWeâve known each other since collegeâ you explain. âSo this is just like drinking waterâ
While you keep chatting in the backyard, Darcy and Wanda are both in the kitchen, your friend making herself a drink while Wanda turns off the oven to get the turkey ready.
âWant another cocktail?â she says, pushing a glass towards Wanda. The woman grabs it, sipping again. The sweet taste of the pumpkin hides a bit of the alcohol, so the punch isnât hitting quite yet.Â
âListen, I know your brother already gave my friend the shovel talkâÂ
âReally? When?â Wanda says, a little too loudly.Â
âBack in the hospital. And I had to hold off on mine because you were always in my territory and I didnât want to seem like a bully. However, now is the time to tell you⌠sheâs my best friend, has been since college. Life hasnât been particularly fair and her mother certainly didnât help, though Iâm sure sheâs made it seem like no big deal, but Y/N really does deserve someone nice and kind. So donât break her heart. Under any circumstanceâ
âIâm not planning to, Daisyâ Wanda nods her head, her thoughts a little fuzzy.
âNobody plans to hurt someone they love. And Iâm Darcyâ
âIâm a little drunkâ Wanda clicks her tongue, leaning on Darcy as they go back to the backyard.Â
âEverything ok, love?â you say when Wanda comes back, and to your surprise, she sits on your lap instead of a chair.
âThese things are strong. A couple more and Iâll consider doing that thing you wanted to try in bedâ
âOh, dear Godâ you blush, while Clint, Laura and Darcy whistle. Pietro covers his ears, gagging. âNo more cocktails for you⌠at least with the kids aroundâ
The Bartons stay a little while longer, eating and drinking until Lila and Cooper approach Clint.
âCan we get a dog?â
âThatâs our cue to goâ he sighs, standing up.
âPlease, we want one!â Lila insists, and you laugh at Clintâs defeated expression.
âWeâll seeâ he compromises. âCome on, we gotta stop by at your grandparentsâ
They leave, thanking you for the food and you promise to take the twins and Sparky to play at the farm very soon.
Pietro finally gets off his ass to bring the turkey, which looks absolutely delicious. He carves it, saving the biggest piece for his sister.
âI love Thanksgivingâ you say, enjoying whatâs probably the best meal youâve ever had.
âMe tooâ Darcy agrees, getting seconds and thirds of everything. Truth be told, you never get to sit around and eat as much as you like so this is a total luxury for a workaholic doctor.
As youâre finishing up, Wanda takes out a pecan pie.Â
âIâm in heavenâ Darcy comments upon the first bite.
On the other hand, you cannot hold back a moan, which makes Wanda bite her lip, one of her hands going to squeeze your thigh.Â
âHey, quick question, will you marry me?â Darcy says to Wanda and you elbow her.
âRight in front of my pecan pie?â
âIâm just saying, if you donât, I willâ
âShe better get a ring thenâ Wanda says, smiling at you. Your mind goes back to the woman at the shop, telling you about those last minute engagements.
Surprisingly, Pietro is the one that changes the subject.
âYou know what I always find funny? How the flavor makes my throat all tingly. And my tongue numbâ
Everyone looks at him in silence, until Darcy speaks.
âThatâs an allergic reactionâ
âWhat? Noâ Pietro dismisses her point.
âIt isâ you insist, which earns another hand gesture from the man. âOh, youâre right, what do we know? We only went to medical schoolâ
âYouâre so dumbâ Wanda says, laughing and holding her sides. âYouâve been allergic our whole lives? Oh, my God!â
âVery funny, sestra. But now you canât make this anymoreâ
âHey, eat a granola bar or somethingâ Darcy snaps, getting a second slice. âWhy should we pay the price for your weakness?â
âLetâs finish the pie so he doesnât get an allergyâ you tease.
Darcy and you keep eating while Pietro is instructed to clean up the table and load the dishwasher. As the celebration ends, Darcy goes back home with tons of leftovers.
âIâll walk you out â you say, accompanying your friend. As youâre chatting, your phone rings again.
âYour mother?â Darcy guesses when you ignore the call. You click your tongue, putting the phone back in your pocket. âLet me guess, sheâs calling for the usual wish you were here bullshit while never calling in advanceâ
âYeah, thatâs our thing. This year Iâm not in the mood to do it, thoughâ
âWell, sheâll hopefully get the hintâ Darcyâs pager goes off and she sighs. âThere it isâ
âWant me to tag along?â
âItâs fine. Iâll call if it gets too crazy. Bye, palâ
You wave as she drives away, walking back with Sparky. For a second, you feel guilty and think about calling your mother back, but this day has been perfect and you donât want to ruin it.
âHey, kiddos, did you have fun?â you ruffle Tommyâs hair when you get home, getting Sparky his dinner.
âYeah, it was awesome!â
âWell, you better check your rooms because I got you a little presentâ
As usual, Tommy is faster, but Billy is right behind him, both of them shouting excitedly.
âWhat is all that noise?â Wanda says, alarmed.
âJust following traditionâ you explain with a smile, waiting for the kids to open their presents.
âWhat tradition?â Wanda says, looking confused.
âThanksgiving presentsâ
Then you hear it. Pietro snorts a laughter from his spot in the kitchen.
Motherfucker.
âIâm gonna kill you, Evil Twinâ you say, going straight to where heâs standing. Pietro runs around the kitchen island, putting distance between you two.
âStop it, you two!â Wanda says, hands on her hips.
âSorry, love. But heâs got it comingâ you throw a towel his way, and take advantage of the distraction to jump over the counter, falling on top of him.
âCool!â Billy says, watching as you have Pietro in a headlock.
âHow are you so strong?â he complains, unable to free himself.
âIâm in the ER, do you really think I donât have to deal with drunk assholes?â
âEnough!â Wanda shouts, pulling you by the belt loop of your pants until youâre off balance. âExplainâ she asks standing between you two.
âHe told me you gave each other presents during Thanksgiving!â
âWe love ours!â Tommy says, showing the stands for their controls. You smile, fixing your shirt.
âWell, youâre the only ones getting one. Your uncle is definitely notâ
âYou got me something?â
âYes, and it was a damn good presentâ you smile, knowing the curiosity will drive him crazy.
âCome on, can I have it?â
âNoâ Wanda and you say at the same time.
You make fun of him, and then Wanda tilts her head.
âDid you get me something?â
âOf course I didâ you pat the back of your jeans, finding the necklace box there. âHereâ
Wandaâs eyes widen as soon as she opens it, her hand covering her mouth.
âWhat? You donât like it? I can return it. Or maybe I canât. But you donât have to wear itâ you rant, afraid that itâs too much for a tradition that isnât even real.
âSweetheart, stopâ she says, smiling. âI-I love it. Thank youâ
âWell, I love youâ you lean forward, letting her kiss you. Billy and Tommy protest at the contact, something that they have unfortunately picked up from their uncle.
âCan I have my present? Please?â Pietro says.
âNo, wait until Christmasâ you say.
âAnd for this little joke youâre gonna clean the kitchenâ Wanda says, pointing at all the dirty pots and pans.
âMy joke got you a pearl necklaceâ
âChop, chop, Pietroâ she ignores him, pushing the kids upstairs so they can get ready for bed. âYou two stink, go and take a showerâ
âWhere do you want me, Bossypants?â you joke, standing next to her.
âMhmâ she smiles, leaning forward to whisper in your ear. âYou like it when Iâm bossy?â
âYes, Maâamâ
âThen go shower too. And stay in bed. You were running around all dayâ
âWanna join me in the shower?â
âIâll help Pietro clean. Or weâll never hear the end of itâ she says, smiling when you pull her close, kissing her cheek.
âDonât be longâ
By the time Wanda comes up, youâre asleep, wearing nothing but shorts and a t-shirt.
The gentleness of her lips against your neck wakes you up with a shudder, and you bring your hand to rub up and down her back.
âAre you done with cleaning?â you say, trying not to yawn. Wandaâs teeth, marking the spot between your shoulder and neck jolt you awake. âBaby?â
âYou always give me so much. I want to thank youâ she says, moving down your lap. You lean on your elbows, unsure if youâre understanding what sheâs saying.
âWanda?â youâre about to ask something else, but the words get stuck in your throat when you feel her rubbing her nose against your clit through your shorts. âI⌠uhâŚâ
âWhatâs wrong?â
âNothing is wrongâ you say, having trouble breathing when she pulls down your shorts, revealing youâre not wearing any underwear.
âPerfectâ Wanda smiles, leaning down. You can tell sheâs hovering, teasing you with anticipation. Even when she kisses the inside of your thighs, it feels heavenly.
You make the mistake of looking down, and Wandaâs eyes meet yours. She has a predatory smirk on her face, one youâve never seen before. She knows how much you want this, she can see it, smell it. Youâre about to plead for her to continue when she goes down, tongue licking a strip down your center.
âFuckâ you say, your legs instantly going to close around her head. Youâre so sensitive and sheâs sucking on your clit with such abandonment. Wanda lets you ride her face, enjoying the feeling of your juices coating every inch of her chin.
When youâre close to coming, she manages to pull free of your hold, pushing her hair back. Her chest is heaving, face glistening with your arousal.
âWha-â she doesnât let you finish, pulling down her own shorts, and crawling on top of you.
âI want you to come with meâ she sighs against your mouth, allowing you to taste yourself. Her pussy comes in contact with yours, eyes rolling to the back of your head as you feel her wetness.
âBe quiet for meâ she hisses, though thereâs certain tenderness in her voice. Her palm covers your mouth, and Wanda only moves when you nod, pushing her hips against yours.
âWandaâ you plead, not knowing exactly what youâre after. Even though sheâs also getting pleasure out of this, sheâs still very much in control, keeping you steady as she rocks her hips, setting the pace.
As your breathing quickens, Wanda picks up the pace, and your arm snakes around her waist, pulling her closer until she drops her body on top of yours, moving and panting next to your ear.
âIâm closeâ you breathe, and the way she bites down your neck is what pushes you over the edge, letting out a groan and a string of curse words that would put your best friend to shame.
Wandaâs release follows, and you let her dig her nails in your shoulders as she comes. She relaxes against your chest, her heart slowing down as you run your hand up and down her back.
You donât need to look to know thereâs a mess of sheets and clothes around you. Wanda is too far gone to care, the intensity of her orgasm and the exhaustion of the day making her doze off.
âCan we make this into a tradition?â you whisper against her temple. She laughs, cuddling against your side.
âTotallyâ
â
Wanda: Hey
Y/N: Hey, gorgeous
Wanda: Miss you
Y/N: Miss you more.
Y/N: Thinking about that mindblowing orgasm too.
âSomeone got laid for Thanksgivingâ Carol reads over your shoulder and you huff.
âMind your business, Danversâ
âDarcy said it was the best meal of her life. What do we have to do to get invited next year?â she says as you walk down the hospital halls.
âGo back in time and not sleep with meâ
âDamn. Wandaâs still jealous? Would it change if Iâm a married gal?â
âYou set a date?â you stop Carol, excited to hear more.
âYour invitation should be in the mail soonâ
âCongrats!â you smile, pulling her for a hug.
âThereâs one more thing⌠I was wondering if youâd be my maid of honorâŚâ
The request catches you completely off guard. Carol had been your friend since you arrived at the hospital, but considering everything that happened, youâd figure Maria wouldnât be comfortable with that.
âI mean⌠I would love to, but Mariaâ
âSheâs fine with it. Understands it was just a distractionâ
âAww, that makes me feel so specialâ you put your hands over your chest, sighing dramatically.
âYou know what I meanâ Carol says, making you walk to the ER. âSo, you in? Youâll have to do dress fittings. Organize a bachelorette party. Make sure Iâm there on timeâ
âFine, yes. Oh, did I mention we got a dog?â
On the way to the ER, you show Carol a bunch of pictures of Sparky, and sheâs still obsessing over his funky hair when you find Kate, finishing some charts.
âHow was your night, Bishop?â
âA bit crazy. Some accidents on the road, and cuts with kitchen knives⌠but itâs been pretty quiet nowâ
Carol gasps and you want to scream.
âDonât say the q word, Bishopâ you plead.
âWhy?â
Two ambulances park right outside and you nod towards them.
âThatâs whyâ
True to the lore, the word quiet attracts a wave of emergencies and freak accidents that take up most of your shift.
Thatâs not what has you on the edge of a nervouse breakdown, though.
During your first break of the night, you answer a text from Wanda, telling her youâll be sure to be there for Pietroâs dinner tomorrow, as heâs finally leaving on Monday morning.
No one ever leaves a voicemail so you check out the notification, and you wish you hadnât.
âFor someone who works in the ER, you sure as hell arenât around for family emergenciesâ your mother says. âWell, itâs not really an emergency, but you get my point. Weâre gonna be in town, Janeâs probably applying to Westview university next year. Call me when you can, it would help if you give us a tour around the city. And pick up the damn phone, itâs Thanksgivingâ
Kate finds you in that moment, making you jump out of your seat.
âYou wanted me toâŚâ
âFollow up with the patient in 403, yes. Iâm going out for a while. Call me if itâs urgentâ
The first thing you want to do is throw your phone away, but you settle for walking to a nearby store, looking for a pack of cigarrettes and a lighter. If you didnât have a shift to go back to, youâd certainly get a bottle of cheap booze.
As you sit on the sidewalk, your hands tremble when you light up a cigarrette. Itâs been ten minutes and youâre through the third one when Darcy stops by.
âWhatâs the matter with you?â
Since you canât find the strenght to explain it, you hand over your phone. Your friend physically recoils at the sound of your motherâs voice, thatâs how much she dislikes her.
âIâm sorryâ Darcy says, sitting next to you. âShe might not even make time to see you, sheâs probably just pretending, like with every holidayâ
âItâs not just that, Darcy. What if Jane goes to Westview University? Iâm going to⌠Iâm going to be worrying about whether or not sheâll be around. If her daughter needs anything, sheâll call me, if something goes wrong and I donât find a way to fix it immediately, Iâll be the screw up of a daughter who never cares about her family. Iâm gonna have to move, thereâs just no way I canâŚâ
âSlow downâ Darcy sits next to you, her hand on your shoulder. Her touch helps you stay calm, and you breathe slowly. âThatâs a massive if. You donât know if itâs happening. And weâre both very much aware that you could do everything your mother asks and it still wouldnât be enough. Donât let her control youâ
âI donât know howâ you admit, your voice breaking down.
âThatâs okâ Darcy pulls you in, hugging you. âWeâll figure it out. Or just take her to the nastiest places in town, sheâll never let Jane come here againâ
You let out a laugh at that, wiping your tears.
âI love you, friendâ you say, feeling exhausted.
âUgh, you always get so emotional when that witch is lurking around. Careful or youâll end up proposing to Wandaâ
âI donât want my mother anywhere near Wanda. If she says anything hurtful to her, I swear to God sheâll really regret the minute she pushed me out of her fucking insidesâ
âDamn, bitch, now thatâs the fire I want to see in youâ Darcy claps, pulling you up. âCome back inside. Heard itâs been non stop since your minion summoned the entire cityâ
âYeah, she said the q wordâ
âQueefâ Darcy sighs and you cackle.
âSassy queefâ
â
The last thing you want to do when your shift is over is have dinner and be social, but you promised Wanda.
So you walk through the door with a smile on your face and some flowers for your girlfriend. Wanda greets you with a kiss, but quickly pulls apart.
âDid you smoke?â
âUhâŚâ
Seems like the entire pack of gum after smoking for the last 48 hours didnât do the trick.
âYes, sorry. Iâll go use some mouthwash and change clothesâ
âHold onâ Wanda pulls your hand, looking at you. âWhatâs wrong? You only smoke if youâre stressedâ
âSestra!â her brother calls, and youâre actually grateful for the interruption.
âIâll tell you later. Pietro needs your helpâ
Thankfully the conversation centers on the other Maximoff and his plans for the upcoming weeks, now that the conditions seem more favorable for snowboarding.
You ask a question here and there, but mostly keep to yourself, eating the chicken paprikash and drinking wine. Yeah, you definitely drink a couple of glasses to keep your cool.
If Wanda notices, she keeps it to herself once again.
âWell, sounds like youâll be needing a pair of brand new glovesâ you say to Pietro at one point, taking out a box from behind the tv. âHidden in plain sightâ
âSheâs a keeper!â he exclaims when he notices the fine material. âIâm definitely coming back for Christmas nowâ
âHey, you better get me something nice tooâ
Youâre halfway the second bottle of wine when everyoneâs done with dinner, and the kids are debating between going for ice cream or watching a movie. Itâs safer to stay in the kitchen, cleaning everything and hoping you can excuse yourself early.
Truth is, you really want to drink until you pass out but that would raise too many questions with Wanda.
âThey settled on Jumanjiâ Wanda announces when youâre drying your hands.
âMmkay. Iâll take Sparky out for his walk thenâ you volunteer, rushing to get his leash before she can ask anything else.
The cold air makes you sober up a little, remembering what Darcy told you.
Donât let her control you, donât let her ruin your life.
Youâve told Wanda your relationship with your mother is not the best, but how could you possibly explain thatâs a wild understatement?
âIsnât that the cutest dog?â Agatha greets Sparky, who wags his tail. âWhatâs their name?â
âSparkyâ
âOh, wowâ Agatha waves her hand in front of her nose. âBooze and cigarrettes, did you have fun at the casino?â
âUhâŚâ
âCome on, Iâll get you a special tea. It always helpsâ
She rushes you to her porch, making you sit while Sparky is on your lap, comfortably napping.
âOne cup of âspecialtyâ. Hah! Get it? Special tea, specialtyâ
âVery clever⌠oh, wow! Does this have peppermint?â
âYes, clever girlâ
âMy grandmother grew peppermint on her front yard. I always loved the smell of it⌠even the taste when she made teaâ you smile, sipping slowly.
âEverything ok, kiddo?â she asks after a beat of silence.
âNo, not reallyâ
âWell, Iâm here if you want toâŚâ your neighbor says, petting Sparky.
âI mean, thank you, but I feel like I donât have a lot of people to tell this to, without being judged. Because you know what it is? I fucking hate my mother, Agathaâ
To your surprise, the woman letâs out a loud laugh.
âOh, honey, please. Tell me about it. My mother was a witchâ
âIs that figuratively orâŚâ
âI mean, who knows. She was evil, thatâs for sureâ Agatha rolls her eyes, and then looks at you. âYeah, I get it. Most people say that you have to love your family, just because you share blood. Blood is thicker than water, they say. Meanwhile, they donât know the full phrase is the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the wombâ
âIs that so?â
âTrust me, I knowâ Agatha nods. âMy mother would tell me I was evil, I was bad. Just rotten to the core, in her own words.â
âIâm so sorryâ
âDarling, you donât owe anyone an explanation. You have your own family with the Brady bunch over there.â
âI guess a part of me still believes sheâll apologizeâ
âDonât hold your breath. And if she doesnât, it still doesnât mean you did something to deserve her shitâ
âThank you, Agathaâ
The woman pats your leg, smiling.
âMy love, are you coming back to bed?â a voice says from the inside of her house and you almost snap your neck looking back.
âComing, Rioâ
âI had no idea I was interrupting, Iâll leave right nowâ you stutter, carrying Sparky down the steps of the womanâs porch.
âDonât sweat it, hot stuff. She needed a break after everything we just didâ Agatha winks.
âGood talk, bye Agatha, bye Rioâ you wave your hand, running back home all flustered.
The kids are with their uncle watching tv when you go inside. You let Sparky go so he can sit on the couch with them, and go upstairs to get changed and sleep.
Once youâre settling in bed, Wanda pushes the door open, eyeing you curiously.
âSweetheartâ is all she says. Itâs both a question and an affirmation.
âItâs been a long dayâ you admit, too tired to pretend youâre ok, but also not in the mood to explain everything.
Maybe your mother wonât even come, and youâll have shown Wanda how broken and fucked up you are for no reason. She doesnât need to know it. Not now, at least.
âLet me helpâ she offers, climbing on your lap, kissing every inch of your face. You hold on to her waist, digging your fingers in her flesh. âI love youâ
âI know. I love you tooâ you smile, finally connecting her lips with yours. Sheâs meant to comfort you with her touch, not wanting to start something else, because everyoneâs downstairs. But when you swipe your tongue across her bottom lip, Wanda lets out a groan, nails scrapping your scalp as you deepen the kiss.
âPleaseâ you say, switching positions so sheâs on her back, you on top. You donât really know what youâre asking for, but she can sense your desperation, holding on to your shoulders.
âItâs ok. Iâm here. Use me, love. Take meâ
Those words spurr you on, making you go down to kiss her neck, unbuttoning her shirt and leaving a trail of marks all the way to her hips. You desperately pull at her pants, immediately going down on her, your touch impatient as Wanda covers her mouth to keep quiet.
âPleaseâ she manages to ask, and you give her more, stretching her with two of your fingers. âMoreâ
Youâre happy to comply, adding another digit and working them in and out of her clenching cunt, while you go back to meet her lips in a messy kiss.
âI fucking love youâ you say against her mouth, and that sends Wanda over the edge, arousal gushing out of her with each of your final thrusts.
âI was⌠supposed to make you feel betterâ she says, trying to catch her breath.
âOh, trust me. You didâ
Wanda laughs, looking at you lovingly while you kiss her temple.
âI love you tooâ she says when your lips meet hers for a quick kiss.
âI know. Iâm very lovableâ
Her laugh makes you forget all the bad shit youâve been carrying with you for the last day and a half.
â
âTake care, bratâ Wanda says, her arms going around her brother. âSee you soonâ
âYesâ he then says something in Sokovian, making Wanda laugh.
âDo you guys know what theyâre saying?â you approach Billy and Tommy.
âNo, mama hasnât taught us any Sokovianâ
âWe think itâs so they can say bad words without getting caughtâ
âHuhâ
âWhat is all that mumbling Iâm hearing?â Wanda says, making you stand straight.
âNothingâ the three of you say at the same time, making her laugh.
âRelax, sestra. You two, be good while Iâm gone. And if youâre not goodâŚâ
âBe carefulâ they finish the sentence, laughing.
âAnd youâŚâ Pietro points at you. Wanda is about to intervene, thinking heâs about to give you another shovel talk. but you wink at her, smiling. âWelcome to the familyâ
âThank you, Evil Twin. See you at Christmasâ
âYouâre dressing up as Santa this yearâ he says in a low voice and you laugh.
The man gets in his car, waving goodbye one last time.
âAlright, you two, weâre gonna be late for schoolâ Wanda says, and the routine slips you back to reality.
âHeyâ you say, pulling her close to you. Before she can answer, you kiss her, hands on her cheeks. She squeezes your wrists, smiling. âDo I really have to be Santa?â
âWeâll seeâ she laughs, kissing you once again. âCome on. We got a busy day ahead of ourselvesâ
You smile, letting her take you back home.
Whatever happens next, you just need Wanda to get through it.
