Part of me thinks about if Maggie becomes an irredeemable monster and how that wouldn't feel like anything special. We've seen Nova's reaction to loved ones betraying her and ending up just as villainous as they've proclaimed themselves to be so in that sense it wouldn't be much new

On the other hand HOLY SHIT NOVA FINDS OUT MAGGIE TURNED TO VILLAINY THE SAME MOMENT SHE LEARNS MAGGIE IS EVIE LIKE HOLY SHIT

HER BABY SISTER IS ALIVE AND EVIL and she has to fight her now wouldn't that be gutwrenching

Like- not thinking Maggie's pov in a scenario where she's a lost cause for a moment, just Nova's part to play is conflicting for me to think about

Ultimately it's not a path I want to see in canon, I'd prefer a scenario were Maggie might be in a similar boat to Nova in the trilogy where she may be a villain but theres still hope but i digress

Remember ages ago when I said Freema did an interview talking about Martha and what she was and wasn't happy with in regards to the story? I found it!

Interviewer: ...Do you still think about her? How do you think about Martha in the year 2019.

Freema: Ah yeah I just did a convention with David [Tennant] recently actually and he said something that um, I hadn't heard before, and he was asked about that relationship between the two chatacters and he said 'I think that the Doctor wasn't fair on her' and I sorta looked at him and I was like...I've never heard your take on that before because I knew at the time you know she was...for me there was definitely a kind of beat that they struck on that stayed maybe a little bit too long. It was the unrequited storyline an I think they stopped exploring her as a fully rounded human being in light of that and Russell [T. Davies] did say you know, it's important to him though that people can sometimes see that...you know love doesn't always have to be reciprocated and it's okay to kind of...most of us probably have that in common that we have unreciprocated...emotions than reciprocated and I was like no that's cool I get that but people also tune in for escapism and for romance and all of the magic and the, you know, the imagination so sometimes to be like grounded back down into hard truth isn't very attractive. *Laughs* So I kind of felt like she got stuck a little bit amd when people ask me if if I would go back it would only be to explore her as a fully rounded person more and she had so much going on and then it got stuck for whatever reason. But I had the best time and I feel like there's so much more potential to that person.

i think maggie would be the only person in the leverage universe who DOES notice the leverage team members occasionally becoming famous. like she’d tune into the world news and then have to call the team to check if sophie really died in a small european country during a turbulent election. "no but wasn’t my funeral so poignant? they put my face on the $20 note!" okay great glad to know you’re not dead. she watches a game of baseball on TV and just sighs deeply when the camera pans to eliot. next time she sees the team, she compliments his baseball skills. for some reason he mutters something about a sandwich while looking wistfully into the distance.

Genuinely, I think one of the most fun and crunchy things about any character is

How far they will go for things they want

What they will do to get things they want

Things they won't do, no matter how much they want what they'd get in exchange

Because these things tell you some very important things about the character, namely their limits, their price, and their absolute No's. (And it lets you create some really REALLY crunchy conflict)

Crappy Botw AU where, instead of waking up alone, you wake up to a skull kid trying to rob you then get to meet up with old companions of heroes you once idolized. While you work to regain your memories you also learn from them that those heroes were FAR from perfect and its okay to be a person first hero second. Or in less sophisticated words, an AU where botw Link becomes and STAYS an absolute menace to society. Because lets be real Totk seemed to have him go right back to knight mentality and thats not what I want for him.
