Pitch for a remake of “The Blob”:
In 1958, a meteorite lands in the outskirts of a small town in Idaho. The meteorite contained the entity known as “The Blob”, which proceeded to wreak havoc on the town’s residents. The incident was eventually contained and covered up by the U.S. military, which locked the Blob away in Area 51. The creature was so destructive and out of control that the U.S. decided not to even experiment on it due to the fear that it would somehow break free. Thus, Area 51 became the Blob’s prison.
Cut to 2023/2024 where we meet George Thompson, who is a soldier working at Area 51. Unbeknownst to the people around him, George is planning on becoming a whistleblower since he had become disillusioned by how the U.S. has been covering up the existence of aliens. His plan; sneak the Blob out of the facility and use it as proof that aliens exist.
At first, George’s plan seems to work since he manages to get the Blob outside of Area 51. However, things quickly go to shit when the Blob manages to break free and kill George. Now loose, the Blob begins a new reign of terror as it trudges its way towards Las Vegas.
Side note: The beginning of the movie shows how the 1958 Idaho incident was contained. The flashback/prologue sequence is done entirely in black-and-white to give it the classic monster movie feeling.
Fancast:
1) Chris Pratt plays George Thompson, the false/red herring protagonist (I chose Pratt since the audience won’t assume he’ll die first due to his star power)
2) Steven Yeun plays the true protagonist. His character is a Las Vegas gambler who is known for his insane luck.
3) Lily Sullivan plays the deuteragonist. She is the reporter who George Thompson was supposed to meet with. She later joins up with Steven Yeun’s character due to them being in the same hotel that the Blob attacks.
4) Jenna Ortega plays the tritagonist. She is a ditzy college student who is rescued by Steven Yeun’s character after all her friends are consumed by the Blob.
5) Cillian Murphy plays the shady CIA officer who watches over alien activities in Area 51.
6) Ryan Hurst plays the strict commanding officer of the soldiers sent to destroy the Blob.
7) Henry Simmons plays the Las Vegas sheriff who is trying to get the situation under control.
8) Dominic Fike plays one of Jenna Ortega’s friends who gets eaten by the Blob.
9) Kevin Dillon plays the governor of Nevada. (this is more of a cameo role since he was in the 1988 Blob movie)
10) Shawnee Smith plays a survivor of the 1958 Idaho incident (also a cameo role for the same reason).

Nettles Casting Speculation(Part 2)
Tumblr media
Where is Nettles? Who is playing her? Is it the woman in the blurry photo from months ago? Is it Anna Jobarteh? Is it someone else? When will she come out of hiding?
I don’t know the answer to any of these questions and since HBO doesn’t want to tell us(I’m about 79% sure it’s Anna at this point, but you never know with this sh*tty show😑) I am once again compiling a list of all the actresses who could possibly be her.
1. Adelayo Adedayo
Tumblr media
She’s 34 and the last project she was working on is in post-production.
2. Clare-Hope Ashitey
Tumblr media
She’s 36 and not currently working on any projects. The side profile looks like it could kinda be a match.
3. Jasmine Jobson
Tumblr media
She’s 28 and doesn’t appear to be filming anything at the moment.
4. Little Simz
Tumblr media
She’s 29 and nearly 5’8.” I don’t think she’s filming anything at the moment.
5. Nicole-Lily Baisden
Tumblr media
She’s sadly currently in a play, but I wanted to include her anyway.
6. Nicholle Cherrie
Tumblr media
She’s 5’8” and she’s not currently working on anything at the movement.
7. Laura Lake Adebisi
Tumblr media
Her last project is in post production.
8. Melissa James
Tumblr media
She’s not currently working on anything.
9. Denise Laniya
Tumblr media
If I had to guess her age I’d say she’s in her mid to late 20s(based on when she graduated). She’s not currently involved in any productions.
10. Ellena Vincent
Tumblr media
Can’t find her exact age, but she doesn’t appear to be in any productions currently.
11. Keziah Joseph
Tumblr media
She’s 31 and her last two projects are in post production.
12. Aisha Toussaint
Tumblr media
She’s 28 and doesn’t appear to be working on any projects.
13. Roxy Sternberg
Tumblr media
She’s 34 and has no upcoming projects.
14. Aliyah Odoffin
Tumblr media
From what I can find she’s 23, but she doesn’t appear to be working on anything at the moment.
I’d just like to say personally I’d love it if she was Netty 👏🏽
15.Mali Ann Rees
Tumblr media
Her last project is in post production.
16. Faye Campbell
Tumblr media
Her playing age is between 15-23. She doesn’t appear to be working on any projects at the moment.(her play wrapped up back in June).
17. April Nerissa Hudson
Tumblr media
Her playing age is between 16-25. She’s has a upcoming play in October that she’s staring in.
18. Karla Crome
Tumblr media
She’s 35 and she doesn’t appear to be working on any projects at the moment.
19. Angela Marie Hurst
Tumblr media
Her playing age is between 25-40. She was in a play from late July to August.
20. Colette Dalal Tchantcho
Tumblr media
I cant find her exact age but she graduated with a bachelor’s back in 2011 so I say it’s safe to guess she’s in her early to mid 30s. It doesn’t look like she’s working on any projects currently.
Do not make me do a part three. I mean it Ryan🙃 It’s almost been a freaking year. Where the hell is she 😊

If you were to make a norse mythology accurate movie who would you cast in the roles of the main gods?
Just so you know, I don't watch a lot of recent movies because I cancelled subscriptions and sail the seas if something interests me enough (So I am not familiar with a lot of younger actors; I barely know who Chalamet is).
Also, I don't know how old you'd want them to appear or be relative to each other because they eat apples that give them back their youth, and technically they've all lived past mortal lifespans based on the myth with Thiazi. So would they have multiple actors for different stages? Or can we just assume some ate an apple more recently? Those would be important questions to ask beforehand.
TBH, the GOW Thor depiction (Ryan Hurst) is possibly the best depiction of myth!Thor to this day. But other than that, for Thor, I'd go with Kristofer Hivju. Dude's a Scandinavian ginger already.
For Balder, it'd be some guy that's very conventionally good-looking. Can't think of a specific one at the top of my head, but not hard to find.
For Loki, I have a variety of actors. Loki has the widest choice in actors as a shapeshifter. I want someone that is kinda weird looking but scrunkly (suggestions are welcome).
IF there's anything an actor that has portrayed a depiction of Loki has in common with the rest is that they're usually scrunkly-looking.
Options:
Cameron Monaghan because he was batshit enough in Gotham (I know the ginger hair is a misconception based on the incorrect assumption that he's a fire God, but there's a ginger (most common depiction) and might be too young compared to Hivju but maybe he just ate an apple more recently like in the Thiazi myth).
I love David Dastmalchian and he's scrunkly so I am including him here (and he's closer in age to Hivju).
I think on anon asks with hypothetical casting choices, we've mentioned though unlikely, Tilda Swinton, David Tennant or Kieran Culkin would kill it.
I also love Patrick Fischler. He's so likeable even when he plays violent murderers that seem to have sprouted from Hell (and for some weird reason I'm convinced that had the Avengers movie been developed in the 90s he'd have been MCU!Loki, arguably in a more villainous direction but very likeable).
EDIT: Forgot to mention Robert Carlyle. He'd be perfect in that role.
For Odin, Claes Bang, Willem Dafoe, or Mads Mikkelsen. Needs to be kinda aloof but also a shifty bastard.
Not sure who I'd pick for Heimdall, maybe the guy that plays Tyrell Wellick in Mr. Robot (he could also work for other roles tho; and is weird-enough to be Loki too)? IDK this is hard ! D:

I would like to see your opinions on the Sons of Anarchy characters in the SEND ME A FANDOM game 🥰
Omg I would love to give you my opinions! Let's get into it! 🥰
The first character I first fell in love with: Right off the rip I was an Opie girl. Ryan Hurst has me in the realest chokehold and I will never escape it. 😌
Tumblr media
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Okay so you know. I think it's funny. Because I think that if I wasn't a fic writer, I never really would've given Kozik a second thought. I wasn't drawn to him really all that much when I watched the show. But for a while I had gotten a good number of requests for him and writing him really made me enjoy his character so much more.
Tumblr media
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: It's unreal how much I want to drop-kick Gemma Teller. 😂 I feel like I could write out a laundry list of reasons but I'm not gonna. I just. I don't like her. 😂
Tumblr media
The character I love that everyone else hates: We love and respect Tara Knowles here at drabbles-mc. 😌 That's my wife and I love her.
Tumblr media
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: By the time the end of the series came around, I was sort of just...over Jax. I think it had more to do with Kurt's writing than anything else. But I wasn't really all that torn up about the whole thing. Like, I was sad that the series was over but by that point Sutter had killed off 85% of the characters anyway so like??? It sort of all had to end lmao. I really enjoyed early seasons Jax, and I kept wanting things to get better as the series went on, but it didn't. Sad. Luckily we have fanfic 😂💯
Tumblr media
The character I would totally smooch: Juice Ortiz will never be able to escape me and my insanity over him. He's really in it now. 😂
Tumblr media
The character I’d want to be like: My knee-jerk reaction to this was to say Nero. And that's not untrue. But honestly the more I think about it, I'd love to be more like Bobby. Man had his head on straight more than pretty much anyone else in the series. Plus like, I wanna just bake cookies and play music and get high and all that. What a life!
Tumblr media
The character I’d slap: I don't want to reuse any answers. So. I'm gonna go with Clay on this one. Only instead of slapping I would like to full-on fist fight him. I'd beat those arthritic hands right into the ground, baby!
Tumblr media
A pairing that I love: The way I truly almost didn't have an answer for this as far as canon romances goes because literally everyone was a fucking mess 😂 But Tig and Venus came out on top when all was said and done. If anyone deserved to have a functional relationship in the middle of the mess, it was her.
Tumblr media
A pairing that I despise: Literally WHYYYYY did Sutter keep writing Ima back into the show??? What was her purpose?? They could've left her character completely out of the series and it wouldn't have changed a thing. I hated all the storylines surrounding her and the guys. That poor actress. I want to fight Sutter bare-knuckle in a Denny's parking lot.
Tumblr media
Thank you for this!
Send me a fandom!

The calm before the storm
International breaks always seem to effect teams in some way whether it be positive or negative and if history is anything to go by North End are not particularly brilliant after these 2 week incursions are complete. The unbeaten spell ended big time at Middlesbrough last week with a 0-4 reverse on Gentry Day although the scoreline seemed to matter little to the North End fans inside the Riverside who gave the boys fantastic support. Prior to last weeks defeat North End had taken thirteen points from the previous seven games, winning three and drawing four. If we can produce that sort of run for the last eight games of the season then we will finish around ninth or tenth with 66 points. Personally I think it is a decent target for North End to aim for and irrespective of the appalling set of home performances earlier in the season, the club will see this as progress under Ryan Lowe even though the season has been incredibly mixed in terms of performances on the field. Lowe has split the fanbase some what but, although he was very close to the edge prior to the Wigan game, I believe the majority of fans are still with him as we go into the biggest game of the season on Saturday week. Suffice to say a defeat next week may plunge those supporting Lowe into a minority and although it isn't a life or death game as far as the league table is concerned, Ryan Lowe will sleep much more soundly in his bed next Saturday evening if North End can overcome the old enemy at Deepdale in front of the Sky cameras with a 12.30ko. The game is even more important following the slightly unlucky 2-4 reverse at the seaside earlier in the season. So without putting too much pressure on the manager I would suggest that if we only win one more game this season then in really does need to be next this one, next Saturday lunchtime.
Reflecting back on the game last Saturday and a sharp reminder for North End fans just how must a player like Cameron Archer means to a team with promotion or play off aspirations in the Championship. North End, apparently, offered the same terms as Middlesbrough to Archer and his agent but it is just a reflection of how our clubs ambitions are seen that the young Villa striker chose to go to Tees-side. North End player 3-4-2-1 in the first half which I thought was the wrong tactic. As soon as Boro got the opening goal we were under pressure and as half time came we had to revert to our normal 3-1-4-2 although it was to little avail in the end. North End were mediocre on the day and the Home side were very good so no surprises, really about the result. The way the home fans and indeed Middlesbrough Football Club embraced our Gentry Day was excellent and credit and thanks must go to Steve Gibson and his team up at the Riverside.
And finally this week:- England pulled off their first win in Italy since 1961 on Thursday evening with a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Rice and Kane. With two teams to qualify from the Group a win against Ukraine on Sunday tea time would see Gareth Southgate's boys well on their way to qualification with only North Macedonia and Malta as the other teams in the group. Assuming we beat the two minnows home and away then we look well set to be in Germany next Summers for a competition we must be looking to win. My only memory of England winning a major tournament is as a six year old boy watching his father jumping up and down with delight as Hurst made it four on that increasingly distant July day, 57 years ago. It is very early days yet but it might just be England's time again. Maybe, just maybe, this time well get it right.

New Post has been published on https://www.packernet.com/blog/2022/11/28/d-is-for-disappointing/
D is for Disappointing
Most of us know little or nothing about Kingsley Enagbare, Rudy Ford or Justin Hollins. If all was “right” with the Packers defense– you wouldn’t need to. But those three players showed up and stood out Sunday night.
Meanwhile, previous defensive standouts, all highly compensated for their skills continue to have their most forgettable seasons. Jaire Alexander seems far more interested in trash talking than tackling or covering. Adrian Amos looks like his NFL speed has vanished, and suddenly looks near the end. Worst of all, Kenny Clark is all but invisible.
Barry be gone
It’s not fair to blame Joe Barry for Alexander, Clark and Amos all turning terrible performances. It’s not just Sunday vs the Eagles, those three and several others are having a whole season far below their previous standards. Still, when the common critiques of the defense are bad communication, worse tackling and playing historically bad against the run, responsibility points to the defensive coordinator. Until Joe Barry is dismissed it’s pretty clear that Matt LaFleur is in danger of losing half his locker room.
Offense showing life
In the last three games the offense has been on fire compared against the first 9-games. In fact, the offense has played well enough to be on a 3-game win streak instead of being 1-2 in that stretch. This new life thanks to a mostly solid commitment to the run and the emergence of Christian Watson.
No compliment-mostly insult
Earlier in the year when the Packers defense was, at times, more than meeting their responsibilities the offense was AWOL. On the rare occasion (don’t blink or you’d miss it) when special teams played well it was almost a certainty that the offense or defense would be a no-show.
Complimentary football has not been evident at almost any point in this dreadful season. Against Tennessee the defense contained Derrick Henry, but made Ryan Tannehill look like Dan Marino in his prime. Sunday night the Packers gave up only 153 passing yards to Philadelphia, but Jaylen Hurts had 100-yards rushing in the first quarter! Hurts contributed to a shocking 363 rushing yards given up by Green Bay. Even though Hurst is a great runner and Philly has a solid offensive line, that’s absurd. You couldn’t teach a defensive scheme and tackling that bad.
Time is up
Dec 1, 2019; Glendale, AZ, USA; Los Angeles Rams assistant head coach/linebackers coach Joe Barry against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
Joe Barry, his players and assistants had 10-days to prepare for the Eagles. Their performance was historically bad. They made some changes in approach, but not until they’d already given up 26-points. Firing the Defensive Coordinator during the season is never something an NFL team wants. Certainly, players, coaches and management also share responsibility. No matter, does anyone wearing the Packer-G believe that Joe Barry has the confidence of his players or fellow coaches? At this point his continued tenure is a bad look for Matt LaFleur.
