i think if it was a romance anime that'd be really cute. though you wouldn't be the main character, but the main characters best friend or something so you don't have a love interest bc Bakugou would probably get jealous tee hee

also if he read fics about you, he'd def go for some classic fluff me thinks. or maybe like an enemies to lovers!! i think he'd like a little angst with it as well, bc he's an angsty boy

i think that he would read all about your character and rewatch clips of you on youtube, yk? idk thats what i do for characters i really like lolol.

I have a very rare day off coming up so I'll try to respond to some stuff then. We have DID, AuDHD and various other things! We like to draw and make things! We learnt about shifting in 2022, decided to try, but since we decided we weren't really taking it seriously back then we're counting our "official" start in spring 2023, when we got hyperfixated on Mario and decided to get back into shifting.

We've minishifted a handful of times (most often opening our eyes in our DR, going "HEY WAIT THIS ISN'T MY ROOM! >:(" and opening our eyes in our OR in protest, only to realize what we had done and die)

I actually have a whole tag dedicated to her!! Just look at #Amaryllis on my blog!!

But the tl;dr of it is that in her main DnD campaign, she's a homebrew mix! Her race is Flowershifter (type of non hostile Fey) and Brightmaid (unborn child blessed by s unicorn- basically, she's a unicorn girl), and her class is muscle wizard

She grew up very isolated with her adopted dad in the Fey Wilds, bc hunters and poachers would try to capture or kill her for being a Brightmaid. (Brightmaids being easier to kill than unicorns, especially children)

Her dad taught her how to fight aggressively to protect herself, and she busied herself with reading everything she could (not very much 😔), and by making clothes.

They had very few materials, but her dad would go and find some for her, and it became one of the few ways she could express herself. She wanted to make cute clothes for herself so bad, so she learned how

She struggles a lot with understanding emotions (showing them specifically), and grew up extremely lonely. She ran away from home bc the loneliness was basically killing her, and she was finally too curious. Plus she wanted to prove that she was strong enough to protect herself now.

She longed to learn about everything she could - people, places, history, everything

But she starts out really socially awkward and unaware of a lot of societal norms (like flirting). she longs to make friends and often tries by giving them gifts (which doesn't always work in the main campaign, bc she's Fey, and some think she's trying to gain a favor)

Amaryllis loves reading, learning, sewing, fighting/sparring (she is extremely stubborn about winning), cute things, bunnies, strawberries, and cuddling/hugs/physical affection in general (bc she only got it from her dad and wanted friends to share that with)

Her dad couldn't kiss her on the forehead bc of her horn, so he kissed her cheek, and so she internalized that as a way to show people she cares about affection!!

Amaryllis is extremely demi-sexual and demi-romantic, so it takes a long time for her to like someone romantically djhcjcx which is honestly why me n my friend went with Astarion as her love interest in the playthrough with her, and if i do draw more comics, it would be a slow burn for them all fjvchchc

She's also in a polycule with 5 other boyfriends currently, her main love interest being Percival (who has a lot of similarities to Astarion fjhfjhg) and i have a ton of art of them on my blog

OUGH just wanted to let you know I'm storing all these hcs away that when I have the time and energy to write it out, I will. Something about Drayton is just making me rattle the bars of my cage fr fr

Gosh speaking of Drayton not being able to keep up with training + staying up for Iris, it reminds me of that other ask where Iris finds him asleep at the table. Just picturing she's holding Drayton's hand, feeling her heart break to pieces when she can circle her fingers around his wrist.

With the clothes Drayton is wearing + training he tries and fails to complete, maybe it hides how he's a smidge underweight for someone his age and height. Maybe he eats late or skips meals altogether because he prefers catching a nap than eating, and because he wants to eat with Iris. He keeps snacking on various snacks in the clubroom cause it staves off feeling hungry but it's not enough for a growing body y'know?

Now I'm also picturing Crispin, who doesn't fully understand but he too once grabbed Drayton's hand for whatever reason and like Iris, notices how his fingers can almost circle around Drayton's wrist. He knows at least that for a guy like Drayton, he shouldn't be able to do that. Crispin loves cooking, and he wants people to eat what they need cause 'food's important for your development!!' so he starts making 'test dishes' and having Drayton be his main taste tester.

Drayton has token complaints but he can't say no, not when Crispin's earnest eyes are looking at him and genuinely wants feedback so he eats, easing hunger that he wasn't really paying attention to. It becomes a routine, so much so that when Drayton sees Crispin with a box or dish he's just 'okay lay it on me. What is it this time?'

Just love these kids sm fr. I like to think that, for all their bickering, they care and look out for one another

No but that's so sweet of Crispin tho, that he also finds out abt Drayton not eating much so he makes him food which he disguises as his test dishes, but really, it's also a way to find out what dishes Drayton actually likes so he can make more of it for him

But what also gets me is the fact Drayton did have a dialogue going on how he likes the Academy Special or smth bc it's soft and he can gulp it down, barely even have to chew, so idk what to make of that without like,, y'know making it triggering for peeps so yeah ask me to tag stuff bc this involves,, this. Anyways, y'know, I do wanna say that's not on him being lazy that he doesn't chew his food much, rather, he just doesn't have the energy for it, or he just have a handful of food he can actually stomach down. Or he's a picky eater which then I will proceed to project lmfaooo

But also it'd be sweet tho if Iris does try to bring food from other regions back home after every Champion meet ups. Like yeah she sometimes come home late, but she always try to head home at least a lil bit earlier, oftentimes leaving the league duties to Hilbert for a bit, just so she can hang out w Drayton who she now knows always wait for her to come back home. So far he likes the curry from Galar bc it reminds of the one Crispin made too

That'd be so cute tho, Iris catching up w him, asking him abt his friends, she knows better than to ask him abt his classes

And he's there telling her abt how this one guy, Kieran, managed to beat him and became the BB League Champion, but now he isn't Champion and didn't join the league again. Then he tells her abt his friends, the E4, Carmine, and even some other students that talk to him. He then mentions abt the curry Crispin made too, how it's similar to the one Iris made, and Iris asks more abt him

And yeah, tells her how Crispin always makes these test dishes and would have him taste it first, some are good, some aren't much, but he loves how Crispin makes him his favourites sometimes

Imagine Iris smiling at that tho, that at least he eats well at school, when she subtly reached out to grab his wrist again while he was talking more abt his friends, she noticed it wasn't all skin and bone anymore, which lifted her spirits a bit, it was a small change but it was a change she'd love to see more of. Drayton said Crispin wanted to be a chef, well, perhaps as a thanks, Iris could pull some strings and have Diantha agree to let Siebold teach Crispin more abt being a chef, she thinks it's only fair for taking care of her brother while she's away

After catching up, Drayton grew tired, ofc, it was rather late, he stayed up late again for her, she tells him everytime he doesn't have to, but he really wants to. Imagine tho like true siblings Drayton asks Iris to carry him cause "what's the point of all that training with gramps if you won't put your muscles to good use."

"and good use being me carrying you to your own room?"

He gives her a cheeky smile all "yeah," which then made her roll her eyes at him

"fine, just this one time."

And just deadass gives him a piggyback ride lmfao, she's just "you're getting old for this, Dray."

"no I'm not, plus you owe me, you missed our training day so now you have to carry me."

But imagine tho as she's carrying him to his room, he fell asleep, and Iris finally noticed he wasn't as light as he was before, he grew a bit heavier than she last remembered, and that actually made her happy; she really has to give her thanks to Drayton's friends for taking care of him while she was away doing her Champion duties. But also her making a promise to herself to be on break for a bit and have Hilbert deal w being Unova's Champion while she really catches up w her brother, ofc, it's been a while, and she'd rather not have him stay up late again just to wait for her to come back home

hmmm i think it's my unfinished french Yuri!!! on Ice fic lmao. the ending is still in the drafts but it's very bittersweet bc the main relationship doesn't like, fall in love together and all. i play with that trope of "i'm not gonna fall in love!! *does anyway*" with an aro character and they will not, in fact, fall in love.

but the other character will with someone else and so it's this change of relationship that can get pretty heartbreaking still, bc something is still ending. well, more like evolving into smth else but a huge part of what they've shared is kinda lost and it's sad (<- fic written by a situationship survivor)

GOOD stuff in there, but it was back in 2021. since then my spn takes have changed so even if i took it back up i'd have to rewrite it from scratch + i'm not super interested in it anymore. i started this at a specific time in my life, and now i'm onto new things, different issues, same themes but different takes!

poetic prose!! it's about creating emotions and imageries.... lots of my fics are character studies for a reason, i just like exploring ideas and that's what i've been doing for the longest time

worldbuiling LMAO. do NOT look too closely into my fics' timeline and chronology, i try my best but there's also a point where i stop trying. sometimes everything is vague bc it says smth with the story and/or bc it goes with the genre, but also bc it's vague in my own head

18. thoughts on dialogue in another language?

i did that!! i think sometimes it's a better choice depending what the story is saying, like slipping some foreign language than one character speak and not the other to say smth (show what a character is still too afraid to say / it's hot / etc). in The Way Home i tried to insert actual ASL in some dialogues, and it felt important both for the disabled rights and bc like, bilingual life sometimes you have the right word in one language and not the other (and again, it says smth)

sometimes it's not quite relevant to actually write it down in the language, just mentioning what it is is enough. different choices for different contexts and stories 🤷‍♂️

19. favorite fic you've written?

The Way Home 💖 i love amidst ashes and feathers so much i have to mention it as well. but ultimately i have a fondness for longer stories bc i have very few of them!! The Way Home is a first in that regard, longest finished work of mine. i spent 3 years with this story and it's gonna be forever with me just like the city i left behind when i posted the last chapter :) it means a lot on a personal level

first of all 😭 you think i’m cool and knowledgeable 😭 that’s so sweet and to answer your question well my sister LMFAO. Anyway yeah i’ll share a few i think could be useful from the architecture/set design aspect!

first i wanna start with my baby blade runner (1982) which i already said i analyzed like a lunatic but from urban planning aspect it is very masterful. Also for one project i had to pick a film and find similarities with other art/movies/etc and i did blade runner + in the mood for love (color use, elements of film noir), calvin klein ss 2018 (reinterpretation of traditional pieces in futuristic light, nice use of function of association and set design you can google it). Also, next is also another recommendation and thats metropolis (class difference through metropolis acting as an industrial center).

Next i would recommend the truman show and bc i feel like everyone has already seen it, rewatch it. Again urban planning aspect inspired me for another project where i had to make a comic book (did a horror one with suburbia as the main character).

dogville!!! It’s a bit disturbing i guess but it is lars von trier we are talking about. I recommend! Not spoiling it but they use theater as set design and the way you get the function of the space is through map of the city and interior of houses. SLAY!

Just for a little further explanation to the anon!! Dead dove isn’t a type of content in it of itself, it’s simply a statement saying “you read the tags, don’t be upset when one of the tags show up” (if you wanna go back to the history of it, it’s from an episode of arrested development where the main character finds a bag in the fridge labled “dead dove, do not eat” and then we he opens the bag and sees a dead dove he says something like ‘I don’t know what I was expecting. Then at some point the ff community took it and started using it too!)

Technically a lot of different things can be considered “dead dove” bc lots of different people have different limits on things the same way a lot of different people can start the line of where regular fanfic crosses over into dark content (if that makes sense). Dark content (which I think the anon meant when they were stating they were starting dead dove content? I’m not sure) is an all encompassing term used to describe any content that may be considered dark: non-con, dub-con, unhealthy relationships, ect.

you explained it very well, I don't have a lot more to say! authors generally use dead dove to be extra careful, because yk, its the internet and people dont read the warnings and then complain about the content of a fic... of course tagging your fic with 'dead dove' doesn't mean it's super intense or dark, but again, all depends on everyone's limits. so yeah, it'd be more correct to say you write dark content and not dead dove... since it's not a type of content!

honestly i agree with that a lot. it's something i've always said - the fandom knows itself better than any cc does - no one truly knows how a fandom is without being in it, ccs included. and they don't have much influence over it either.

i think boundaries should be respected, obviously. but it's like that one viral post i saw here the other day about mcyt boundaries. it was like a box with the cc inside of it, and how things that break boundaries aren't harmful if they're kept outside of the box. which is why srs shipping etc is such a non issue here, since dream isn't here 🤷🏼‍♀️

What's a trope you will never write?

hmmm this is a hard question cause i think for me i like to keep my options open!! and especially after finishing self love its like HAH my horizons have been broadened and now i know i am capable of writing dead dove. its to the point where i wanna one up what i did in self love bc HAH it. it couldve been worse. and even though i write a lot of angst (bc thats. most of the plot ideas i have akdndnd) i love fluff and hurt comfort and other things as well—its good to have variety!! so theres not a lot of tropes that i think i Wont write…… but i think like. a lot of fandom specific tropes in the fanfic side of rezero is stuff i wont ever write. or at least i try not to. like writing hate fic for certain characters 😭😭 even if its someone like puck and wilhelm (both of whom i. dont like as people bc of Certain Decisions theyve made but theyre Great Characters bc of those decisions). bc it does bother me if i dont at least Try to be fair with characters in the sense of just trying to still get all their nuances at least a little bit 😭😭 of course im far from a perfect writer but ill go insane if i dont make an effort ☝️☝️ and also as an emilia fan there is. um. lets just say going on her tag on ao3 fills me with pain sometimes!!
