Could you write something for jobe. Maybe you guys gets into a fight and you’re surrounded by his family all day. They seem to notice the tension but doesn’t say anything but at some point or after a comment from him you break down and leave to be alone in your room. Leaving everyone shocked and surprised by the situation since you guys are very private. Maybe it could be during Christmas or a holiday?! Anyways if you want to. Thanks !
Never is a promise — Jobe Bellingham.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Jobe Bellingham x Gn!Reader
Summary: After an argument and some back handed comments during a Christmas dinner, you’re left humiliated and upset, and you realize never was a promise Jobe apparently couldn’t keep.
Word count: 830
Disclaimer/s: arguing, yelling, & angst, ends happishly!
A/N: tbh idk where i was going with this
Tumblr media
“It’s not that big of a deal,” you hiss, trying to keep your voice low enough as to not disturb his family that was in the next room.
Jobe lets out a low groan. “Yes, it is!” You’d been arguing for the past ten minutes all because you didn’t mention a job promotion to him before your family.
“Listen, Jobe. Seriously, it’s not a big thing! All it gives me is a higher income, other than that it’s not a big deal! Let it go.” You rub your temples, “can we please just go back to the table? This is embarrassing.”
The boy rolls his eyes, pushing his body away from the counter. “Yeah, sure. Whatever.” He speaks through clenched teeth, glancing to the kitchen door before striding his way through it.
You follow after him, forcing a smile onto your lips as you take your seat beside your boyfriend. Tension flows throughout the dining room, everyone was on edge. It wasn’t like Jobe’s argument with you was subtle. It had started at the table before you had excused the both of you into the kitchen.
“So! How do you like the food?” Denise asks, a wavering smile on her face as she looks in your direction.
You mirror her expression, fork playing with the food on your plate. “Good! Thank you.” You nod, taking a bite although you had no appetite whatsoever.
Silence again. Deafening silence.
“So this promotion—“ Your lips clamp shut, eyes darting to your boyfriend. His jaw clenches tightly, a laugh of disbelief escaping his lips. You loved the woman, but she did not read context clues well.
“Yeah, tell them all about it.” He says sarcastically, eyes finding yours in a heat of annoyance.
That was your final straw. Your eyes flutter to the ceiling, blinking a few times to calm yourself. You slowly stand up, “I need to go take a breather!”
The second you left, making haste to your bedroom, Jobe’s parents, and Jude, look his way with disappointment evident in their faces. “Mate…” Jude sighs, “come on. It’s Christmas.”
Jobe takes a quick glance to the Christmas tree a few feet away, lips pursing tightly. “Stay out of this, Jude.” He was more annoyed at the fact that this was all happening in front of his family, than the original reason you were even fighting over.
Meanwhile, you were sat on your bed, hands rubbing your thighs as you took even breaths. You knew you should’ve told him. But in your head, the promotion wasn’t a big deal. It was small and nearing meaningless, but apparently not to Jobe.
He’d never gotten mad at you. He’d been upset sure, but mad? That was a reaction you had not expected. At the beginning of your relationship, a whole year and a half prior, he’d promised he would never hurt you, never raise his voice. And he hadn’t. Until now. ‘Never’ is a big promise, and you knew you shouldn’t have held it to such a standard.
The soft click of the door opening and shutting had your head snapping up, “What’re you doing?” Your eyes narrow slightly.
Jobe leans against the doorframe, chewing on his cheek. He lets out a long breath, hand running over his face. “Listen—“
“It’s fine.” You snap. You didn’t want to argue, just wanted it to go away. You wanted to enjoy the holiday, to pretend anything even happened.
Too busy staring at your hands, you only notice Jobe sat beside you when the bed dips and your body slips closer to his. Your thighs touch, but you are quick to scoot over. Your boyfriend sighs at the movement.
“I’m sorry, okay? I just wish you told me these things! They’re important to me, and you never tell me things anymore. I mean, it’s not just the promotion.” He clears his throat, “I don’t want to argue with you. I don’t want to fight and ruin the holidays.”
You look back to Jobe, “right. Okay.” No apology from you, which Jobe’s jaw ticks at, but he doesn’t say anything.
“So, we can go back? Talk about this later?” He suggests, playing with the strings of his hoodie. He doesn’t make a move to stand up, though.
Standing up off the bed, you nod. “Yeah, sure.” You begin to walk away, but you’re stopped when Jobe’s hand wraps loosely around your arm, pulling you back into him. His arms securing around your torso, keeping your back flush to him.
Held in his arms, Jobe’s head rests on your shoulder, placing a soft kiss there. “I’m sorry I got upset.” He murmurs, giving you a quick squeeze, which you reciprocate reluctantly. Your hands resting on his arms.
“I know.” You huff, “i’m sorry I didn’t tell you about the promotion.”
Jobe hums into your neck, using his index fingers to turn your chin in his direction. He gives you a dimple showing smile. “I love you, always. Even when I am upset.”
Now you were a little less angry with the whole situation, those few small words meaning more than a petty argument. “I love you too, idiot.” You add, giving him a playful scowl.

there are literally no standouts in downfall because everyone sat down at that table and said hey you wanna see something cool and proceeded to Become their characters but idk if it’s because they’re beside each other and that aids the dynamic or just because it’s the delicious similarities and insurmountable distance between the god of death and the god of (in various ways) life but ayden and emhira’s interactions were so chewy and delicious. i’ll be thinking of their exchange fairly early on after ayden cast lesser restoration on that old man and emhira not cruelly but just simply stating “you cannot heal everything.” and ayden’s equally simple reply “we can always try.” emhira seeing the family trist has built and wondering at the presence of children, “surprised there is laughter in such a horrible place” and i know she’s speaking of hawk’s hill but i wonder if she is also speaking of exandria itself in some ways. the delicious space between in and out of character that only really happens in improv stories where as brennan is narrating and says “in this dark room” and nick interrupts and adds “it is not dark.” brennan’s incisive point in the cooldown that while the love that ayden and trist have for mortals and for exandria is warm and the kind of love someone would likely Want from gods, there is something maybe more honest or whole about emhira who says . actually these mortals are little shits that will kill you not because they fear you but because they hate you. whose very existence should be (and still often fails to be) a reminder that the gods can be usurped by mortals. the insight nick shared in the cooldown that ayden does not forget emhira’s origins but in a way dismisses them, that the god of death is a different beast. ayden wanting to find. way to save the people of aeor, insisting that the prime deities Win if they can find a way to do so. emhira reminding everyone that death is inevitable (and she does not add anything to clarify that she intends such a statement to only exist for mortals) as she argues for them to work to take down aeor and the people in it. the fact that the god with the most present connection to mortality is also the one given the most explicit clarification that she Is the god we know as SILAHA calls her the matron, brennan’s narration clarifies purvon is her champion, taliesin as asha asks for clarification on the recognition of emhira as a god and prompting the familiar spectre of a woman in a white mask.
i want to be very clear that when i say there are no standouts i Mean it because i’ve been awed and endeared and intrigued by every single character choice everyone made and as always brennan’s narration is so incredibly well suited for the mission impossible greek tragedy vibes that comes with this story and i’m so fucking delighted by the fact that laura, ashley, and taliesin are playing gods that their characters have known quite well in the past. i’m incredibly excited by what we’ve already gotten to see from abubakar, nashir, and nick and cannot imagine what other greatness is to come. i’m psyched to see the relationship between asha and the law bearer and am delighted that (perhaps for now perhaps for the whole arc) it is being seen through the lens of “my wife promised me a visit with apples and all i got was a rock ice emissary”. i also have many incoherent thoughts about the fact that, of the players who appeared as the same character in the opening and the story, taliesin’s ash and asha are the ones whose name remains the most unchanged.
i’m obsessed with the fact that this creature sent as a stand in by the god of law and duty believes his primary gift is love. while there is a certain mourning and sadness to every god we see, that SILAHA has a certain playful whimsy and jofyful curiosity about the world. that the only one of them who has been mortal before stops to steal an imp necklace from the neck of a drunk on the train (and that moment between brennan’s narration that this man will be dead by morning but, with death standing invisible in front of him, he is incapable of seeing it coming, and then laura as emhira breathing in deeply and brennan having that spark a coughing fit. they are Story Telling). asha seeing the erased image of a god, of a family member and saying “there’s a hole in all of us.” brennan narrating “this is a place where they tried to kill a story. it’s a very frightened thing to do.” (and god. the motif of fear. especially given the very present fear felt by the gods in current day exandria. they’re doing insane things in the critical role 3 part departure).
trist reminding ayden “he never tells the truth” and asha contesting “he only tells the truth, it’s just rotting.” emhira and asha both as perhaps the less Good™ much more neutral but doing so in such different ways, asha as bitter and hungry while emhira seems uncomfortable but there’s a familiarity and a certainty in her discomfort with mortality (the law bearer would also be included here but the emissary seems much more like trist and ayden (for now) than emhira or asha). something as insignificant as trist and her husband speaking to their children and affirming that little lies are okay while trist has lead a significant part of her life likely dishonest about who she is. the fact that there’s a certain childlike quality to the emissary who they’re all charged with ensuring makes it to the end of things even if they cannot. the fact that nahal (unclear which god they were, and i’m assuming it’s the first god of death but regardless still an absolutely compelling development in a short amount of time) in those opening moments is horrified by the concept of away which is unfamiliar to them only to soon after look upon their family and say. maybe away was better. Especially if those were words spoken by the god who would one day be replaced. these three episodes are going to haunt me and i’m excited to meet the ghosts.

Wild Wild West
Summary: Lando walks into a bar and falls for Oscar's barrel racing Cousin.
Side note: I'm Australian so chips to me are fries to most people. Idk in my family we call everything chips. There's properly spelling and grammar errors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When people think of ranch life they think cows. The smell. But that’s not Lando thinks. He thinks of Y/n. The love of his life.
The woman who changed his life. Meeting her in that bar was the best thing that had ever happened to him. It was like God was leading him to his salvation.
He wouldn't know what to do without now. Meeting her was like meeting his soulmate. He had gotten everything and more from meeting her.
Tumblr media
Lando smiled in relief when he saw the glowing sign of a motel. It felt like he was walking for days when it had only been two hours. The sun had gone down while he walked and while it was beautiful he didn't have time to think about it.
When Oscar had gave instructions to him, he never thought it would be that hard to find a house. But then again, he was in the middle of nowhere. All he needed was a phone and everything would be fine.
And maybe a drink. Defiantly a drink.
Lando opened the bar doors and immediately made his way over to the bar. There was the bar with stools, a dancing floor, a pool table and a few more tables in witched he guessed people sat, drank and ate.
“Whiskey. Please.” Lando told the bartender who nodded. Lando sighed and looked around. He saw two-men playing pool. They looked to be in there 20's
On the other side of the bar was an older man reading a paper. No one else was in the bar.
“Excuse me. Do you have a pay phone I can use?” Lando asked the bartender when he placed his drink in front of him.
The bartender chuckled. “You're in bad luck mate. Phone broke yesterday.”
Lando grumbled. “Thanks anyway.” He sipped his whisky slightly thinking of ways to contact Oscar to come get him out of this mess.
The bartender offered him a small smile. “Do you have anywhere to sleep for the night mate?” He asked as he cleaned some glasses.
Lando shook his head. “No. I’m lost. Can you tell me where I am?” Lando looked around the bar and he could tell the bar was well looked after.
The town he was in looked pretty nice but when Lando was walking in he could tell it was small. That not many people knew it was here. He had seen many of ranches and some old looking house when he was looking for a pay phone.
“Old Range.” (Fake) The bartender said. “I’m Jeff, and that old man down there is my father John he owns the hotel across the road. You can sleep there for the night.” Jeff offered Lando.
Lando nodded in thanks. “Thank you.” He sent a smile to Jeff and John; John just waved him off and went back to reading hardly paying attention.
“Yes!!” An excited yell made Lando look over and see the two guys playing pool.
Jeff shook his head at the guys playing pool. He poured Lando another drink. The front bar doors opened and when Lando looked over to the door he felt like the air was stolen from his lungs.
The most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life was standing there looking at him. She had a nice blue dress, compared with a leathered belt around her waist. And of course, cowboys boot along with the black cowboy hat.
Y/n smiled as she walked over to the bar. She stopped and kissed John on the cheek before taking a seat next to Lando.
“Jeff.” Y/n greeted with a smile one he returned. "Whisky please." She turned to Lando and sent him a smile that had him melting. "Not from around here?" She asked as she looked him up and down.
Lando suddenly felt silly for wearing a hoodie and jeans. Mainly the hoodie. "No." He gulped.
You hummed taking a sip of your drink.
"First place again, Y/n?" Jeff asked the girl.
She nodded, "It was tuff, but they can never beat the rebel." She grinned; Jeff just laughed.
"What did you get first place for?" Lando couldn't help but ask.
The boys that were at the pool table laughed making Lando look back at them. Y/n shot them a look making them shut up. She looked at Lando, "Barrel racing." She answered him.
Lando looked wide eyed at her, "Wow." He breathed out. "Isn't it dangerous?" He asked intred.
Y/n shrugged, "Yeah but I know what I'm doing." She nodded to over his shoulder and Lando turned and saw photos and newspaper clipping all over the wall. "Thats all me." She explained to him.
He couldn't help but get up and get a closer look. Y/n got up as well and stood shoulder to shoulder to him. There were folders of her holding trophies and belt buckles from a little age to now he guessed.
"How long have you been barrel racing." Lando asked. His British accent showing making Y/n grin.
"Since I was four. I did it on pony and then horse once I got older. Travel all around the world." She explained. She pointed to a higher up picture. It was a picture collum with five photos of her holding a big trofie with a buckle int he other hand. "I'm a five-time world barrel racing champion." She grinned bumping shoulders with a god smacked Lando.
"Jesus." He breathed out. When this beautiful girl couldn't get more interesting. He chuckled, "And I can't even win a race."
Y/n hummed looking fondly at the photos. "You will one day." She told him.
Lando hummed but whipped around to look at her with frowned eyebrows wondering how she knew what he meant. "Do you now that I'm an F1 racer?"
Y/m turned to him and smirked, "Y/n Piastri. Pleasure." She told him.
Lando just started at her in wonder. "Your related to Oscar? You?"
She giggled. "Cousins. He called me before and told me he had been calling you. He checked where your last known location was and asked me to come and get you." She explained to him.
"Wow." Lando said. He took a seat at one of the bar tables near the wall. "Man, my day has been hectic."
Y/n hummed and sat across from him. "It's easy-to-get lost around these parts. But it has its perks from growing up around here." She told him. "I told Oscar I'll bring you to the ranch tomorrow."
Lando smiled at her in thanks. She smiled back making him blush a little. "But for now we should get some food in you." She beamed before looking at Jeff. "Just the usual." She told the bartender making him grin and nod before going through the doors to the kitchen.
"I should of recognized you from the photos Oscar showed me." Lando told the girl.
"Oscar talks about me?" Y/n asked as she leaned forward a bit.
Lando nodded, "All the time." Making Y/n smile.
Lando and Y/n sat there talking about barrel racing and Y/n asking more about F1. There conversation flowed making John look up from his paper now and then.
It was interesting seeing Y/n take an interest in a boy. She has had past relationships, but they never worked out. Especially the bull riding boys.
A plate being put on the table made their conversation stop. On the plate was a good-sized steak and chips. Jeff winked giving Y/n a small bowl of chips.
"Enjoy." He said before going back behind the bar to get the boys from the pool table another drink.
"This looks amazing." Lando looked at the steak in amazement.
"Yeah, Jeff makes the best steak ever." Y/n told the brit as she started eating her chips. She watched as Lando smiled at the taste of it. "Good?"
"Define." Lando answered making Y/n giggle. For the rest of the night Lando and Y/n had eaten, talked, drank and played pool with the two guys.
The two giggled together crossing the dirt road to the motel, Y/n's hat on Lando's head. John had gone and gotten Lando's key for him before they left the bar. Y/n smiled and looked up at the clear sky.
Lando stopped to see what she was doing. He had his arm around her shoulders with Y/n holding his hand that was round her. "Why'd you stop?" He asked.
When she didn't answer he looked to sky where she was looking. The sky was so clear you could see the stars so clearly. Them shining brightly down to them. "It's so beautiful." Lando spoke soflty.
"I never see stars like this anywhere else." Y/n confessed. "Home is where the heart is." She said leaning her head on Lando's shoulder.
Lando leaned his head on her head. "That's the truth." He whispered.
They stood there looking at the sly before Lando leaded them to their rooms that were next to each other.
"Well, this is me." Y/n said at her door. Lando smiled at her and tucked a piece of her brown blackish hair behind her ear. When Y/n looked at him she couldn't but smile, "Why are you smiling at me?"
"You're so beautiful." He confessed to her admiring all her features that made her, her. He wouldn't be able to live not doing what he was about to do.
Y/n blushed and giggled trying not to let his complement go to her heart. She had already felt like Lando was amazing and could be more. "Your drunk." She told him.
Lando shook his head in refusal and took both her cheeks in his hands. "I have never been more sober then right now. God when you walked into, the bar this afternoon I thought you were most beautiful woman in the world. And I won't be able to go to asleep without doing this." Lando confessed to her.
Before she could ask what, he was going to do he kissed her. It didn't take a moment for Y/n to kiss him back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and tugged on his curls making him groan. It was like a part of them each other had found each other.
They parted. Foreheads leaning on each other. "You don't even know me." Y/n told the brit.
Lando shook his head softly, "I want to know you. I want to know the good and the bad." He told her, his breath fanning her face. Y/n smiled tracing his face with her finger tips.
"You do?"
"Yes."
And they kissed again. So passionately. Y/n smiled into the kiss. In that moment after just meeting a few hours ago they knew they were meant for each other. They both just knew.
When they parted again for the second time, Y/n took a step back and opened her hotel door and beckoned him making him grin and Y/n to squeal when he picked her up again.
It was one of the best nights that Lando had ever had. He had never met a girl as beautiful, kind and just God dam different then Y/n. He fell in love that night when he went to asleep in the old town hotel with Y/n next to him.
It was the start of one of the tales of Y/n and Lando. Anyone that saw them together would think they would never go together. With Y/n all county like and Lando far from it, but just one second with them, you would know that they were better together then apart.
And Oscar had sworn that he had never seen Lando happier than he was when he was with his cousin. And now a new photo sat on the wall of the bar.
But whenever there in their little town they always star gaze together.

No cause now I need more. Like I don't know headcannons or something about how they got together and how their parents reacted.
LIKR IMAGINE THE FAMILY GATHERINGS!SGAHSJSKSN
Something- anything please I am begging😭
percy jackson x daughter of amphitrite! reader headcanons.
a / n : feeding my inner self ship here LMAO and also this is literally headcanons that made up from my ass, so idk if amphitrite would have a cabin, because they didn't make one even for her honor sooo.. yeah
warnings : cursing, fighting, blood mention, injury mention, basically just two waterbenders in love
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- it was all camp half blood's fault
- you didn't had a cabin of your own, but they thought you staying in the poseidon cabin was the best decision
- well it was.. until percy got claimed
- you both had to share the same cabin, and he wasn't the best at keeping it clean
- all those years, getting a 10 from the cabin check, you got 5 because of him
- and it made you furious
- but, a nice girl you are, instead of breaking his heart, you warned him
- "next time we get a 5 from the cabin check, i will break your surfboard into pieces 😊"
- "yes ma'am 🫡" no ofc he didn't said that
- but he thought that as he nervously shake his head
- well, he didn't really had a time to clean his cabin, so the promise was forgotton
- and you learned to pick up after his back
- it was a beautiful afternoon when annabeth barged into your cabin
- "percy's in a fight and we can't stop him."
- these are the questions that you should've asked when she said that : what's that have to do with me? what am i even gonna do? why are you coming to me? what the fu-
- but what you did instead : run to percy
- alright, i guess you two have a bond now
- "alright seaweed brain, get your ass back up," you said as you yanked grabbed him by the arm and pushing him aside
- he tried to run to the boy he was beating back again, but you just pushed him by his chest and slowly lead him to your cabin
- "dude what the hell is going on with you?" you asked as you both enter. he was panting, sitting on his bed and holding his head. "percy? i asked you a question."
- "he was saying something shitty about you, and i couldn't just stand there and listen him. okay?" he said, not facing you.
- oh
- ooohhhhhh
- 😏
- "why though?" you sat next to him on the bed, too suprised to even get mad at him
- "you always got my back in cabin check so, i got your back outside, i guess." he simply shrugged
- alright mr in love
- and with that, you both got really close
- this was your breaking point in 'awkward energy'
- surfing competitions where it's just you two racing? check
- married dolphin and shark plushies? check
- going to an aquarium? double check
- the animals were once your enemy back then because of your mother, was your friends now
- same as percy
- and when you both started dating, percy realised how relaxed he was around you
- like when he was little, he would listen to ocean sounds to calm himself down after a stressful day
- and you have the same affect on him
- later he learned that children of amphitrite have that affect on children of poseidon and that's why annabeth bringed you that day
- talking of the parents
- the meeting was the most hilarious thing happened to you both
- because they already knew
- one time. ONE TIME YOU KISSED PERCY UNDERWATER AND THE FUCKING FISH WERE ALREADY EVERYWHERE-
- "ohh lord perseus and princess y/n"
- "ohh they're kissing"
- and suprisingly gossip spreads around ocean VERY FAST
- you both got a call from atlantic or smth to get there fast
- they weren't angry or anything, poseidon loved you and weirdly your mom loved percy
- they were just.. suprised
- "what type of history shit is going on here-"
- "POSEIDON."
- you understand where percy got his humor from now
- alright moving on to real parent SALLY MF JACKSON!!
- you think you being her ex's wife's daughter will make her hate you?
- well yeah, but sally jackson is the definition of angel
- and she doesn't care about your godly side as long as you're making percy happy by just being in his life
- so as you can say, you guys are already besties
- moving on again to u and percy
- underwater kisses duh
- silly blue shirts about fishes
- watching ariel, moana, lost fish nemo and dory and all of the sea shit together
- and recreating the musical scenes
- you having a signature pegasus friend like him
- and him having a dolphin one like you
- you guys just rule the lake atp
- living in the same cabin is the best thing ever happened to percy
- because he get to cuddle you EVERY NIGHT without having to worry about getting caught
- and tyson? basically your children
- seashell jewelry gifts from percy
- always wearing blue together
- also eating blue food
- this fic is really long rn but you both are yue and sokka tbh
- give yue one more chance!!

are you a tim and darry shipper? if so, PLEASE share some hcs of them
YESSIR I AM‼️ oh my days i’ve been dying to yap about them bc i’ve been obsessed 🙏 i won’t go into how i think they actually found out about each other’s man-kissing tendencies bc im thinking of writing a fic abt it (if it doesn’t happen then i’ll write abt it here lol) but here we go‼️ ooc? perchance🤫
- Incredibly private relationship. Neither of them want a single soul to know
- So naturally they get walked in on by Pony
- “You said you locked the door” “It’s not the same kind of lock we got at my place” “It’s a lock” “That you never even use” “Do you know how to lock my door?” “Do you know how to lock your door?”
- (It’s not Tim’s fault tho because not even Pony remembers which way to turn it, he’s just jiggling it until it clicks. Seriously, why would anyone need to know?)
- Darry’s idea of being romanced is coming home from work to see Tim doing the dishes while playing Darry’s favorite Ricky Nelson records in the background.
- Just sweep him off his feet, Tim, why don’t you🙄
- Fr tho acts of service is Darry’s love language, catch him SWOONING when Tim says he’ll pick up Pony from school and then come back to help him dig leaves out of the gutter. Most romantic thing anyone’s ever said to him
- Idk if Tim has a love language, but maybe it’d be quality time. Even if they aren’t saying anything, he just likes hanging out and unwinding with Darry at the end of the day
- If they haven’t been able to see each other for a while because of Darry’s long ass work days, Tim sometimes visits him during his lunch break at work, just to talk and catch up. He brings two bottles of ginger ale because he knows Darry can’t drink on the clock, but could stand to crack open a cold one
- They’ll go and watch the rodeos together when Dally is jockying and Soda’s doing saddle bronc
- One time he came home to find Tim, Pony, and Soda very heatedly yelling at the soap opera playing on the television. They made him swear to secrecy before letting him join in
- Lotsss of stab wounds in the coaster next to the couch. Darry only got it after one too many accidents with Tim not remembering that the Curtis family doesn’t just bury their blades into furniture when they’re particularly emotional
- Darry actually gets along well with Angela, they have pretty similar music taste. He’s also telling her which teachers she wants for which classes, and also the best spot to park to pull out of school quick before traffic builds up
- Darry wants to spend some time at Tim’s place, but Tim refuses nearly every time. His parents are always drunken, high crash outs when they’re home and the place is just a mess. He’s a purebred hood, but he’s also the only one trying to run a tight ship around there for his siblings’ sake
- Tim bounces around from job to job, he never really found a rhythm anywhere. Darry once sat down to help him hunt, but Tim’s better suited for odd jobs anyway, so that’s where his money rolls in from
- Definition of power couple. They’re mean asl in solo fights but put them on the same team and it’s lights out
- There’s an on-going bet on the East side about who would win in a fight between them
- Darry and Tim know about this and also get into arguments about it
- Love the idea of characters who are described as things such as “feline” or “deer-like” or “spider-like” etc etc also act like those animals, so the minute Tim was described as cat-like I knew that in my head he’s taking naps and when he gets up, he does the full body, hands in the air stretch until every bone has popped and he’s got just slightly longer canines than usual, “blink and you’ll miss it” slight. Darry thinks it’s hot
- They’ve mutually agreed to never accept gifts from each other because they’re too proud but also too insecure about money and don’t want to be leeching off the other
- Tim doesn’t sleep on the Curtis’ couch unless he’s in rough shape from a fight the night before or he wants to catch Darry in the morning, but more often than not it’s because of a fight. Pony and Soda only know about a fraction of the times Tim has done this and just think “damn darry ur bf’s gay asl for u”
Gang i love them sm it’s not even funny this is so serious for me😭🙏

I want your opinion on this, if you don't mind. E/riels insist the "His secret to share, never hers" moment was Nesta silently confirming their ship (lol). But I thought the whole Azriel looking pained and not wanting to go near the fireplace.... was because of his past? He is afraid/wary of fire, is he not? (Correct me if I'm wrong)
How are they linking this as a "omg he's struggling because elain is by the fireplace" moment? Some say mor was there too, so it's probably that but idk. What do you think? :)
I don't think it's in regards to any fear of fire because she notes it's not a thing but a "who" sat near the fireplace.
I think this line, just as many E/riel lines that have come before, is purposely ambiguous.
Stepping away from that scene for a moment.
Do you remember the line where Elain breathes "beautiful" and E/riels find that so romantic that she's looking at this scars?
But do we truly know that for a fact? Because Feyre literally says, "I couldn't tell if she was looking at his blue Siphon or at his scarred skin beneath". His bright shiny Siphon is sitting atop his scarred hand and there is no way to know which of the two she was referring to yet E/riels claim with certainty that it's his scars.
Or the scene in ACOWAR where Az goes into Hybern's camp to retrieve Elain and they love to say he hadn't hesitated because that's Cassian's opinion of the situation. But Cassian was first arguing with Nesta over it and in pain. It's Feyre who was observing the argument between Nessian, where Nesta says "and there is no chance of ANY of you getting into its heart. Especially you. (emphasis on the word any in the actual book) and then tells us Az speaks up, "as if in answer to some unspoken debate" "I'm getting her back". If someone is having an unspoken debate with themselves, that means there is hesitation. And it was only after Nesta said there was no chance of ANY of them getting her back he says he will. The fact that there is time that went by between Cassian saying he'd get her back and Az saying he'll get her back proves that there was some hesitation on his part. But again, Cassian later saying "he hadn't hesitated" creates two versions of what actually happened when it came to Az and Elain.
And with TT, she took this supposedly poignant scene where Az never let anyone else touch it but she added in there that it's because Mor begged him with tears in her eyes that he was willing to sit out (he literally says "I won't be using this today" and that's because of Mor. Had Mor not wanted him to be safe than he would have been using TT himself).
And the potato scene. E/riels claim that as yet another romantic moment for the pairing but Rhys says that it's because of how his mother was treated that caused Az's reaction so was that scene truly because of emotions he had for Elain or was it because her serving them reminded him too much of his mother (which is not romantic) who was a servant? The fact that he later went on to look at Mor with hunger and yearning makes me think he wasn't having feelings for Elain days before only to fixate on another female right after.
It's the same thing with the fireplace scene because who else is sitting next to the fire besides Elain? Mor. Mor is on one couch in front of the fire and Amren, Varian, Elain and Feyre are on the other across from her. Now we later learn that Az can't stand the scent of Elain's mating bond but why would Nesta know that? She's been regularly absent from family dinners because she was avoiding her sister and Rhys. She kept to her rundown apartment during the time between Solstice and the start of SF so it's not like she'd have seen any interactions between them. The neutral but "charged" look was the very first time she witnessed anything and even that was somewhat confusing to readers. But Nesta had been around long enough to note the way Az responded to Mor (she was there when he snarled at the King over her and when he fought Eris in the HL meeting over her). No one ever confirmed to her that Az was in love with Mor so it's possible that's who she thought he had feelings for.
And if she thought Elain was his big secret, why did she tease him over him being Gwyn's new ribbon? Wouldn't she have have been uncomfortable over it because of what that meant for her sister?
I feel all these moments were written this way intentionally because when E/riels come at SJM with the pitchforks saying "but you added this in there!!!!!!" there's evidence to say "yes, but she also added this which shows you chose the wrong interpretation".
That hasn't been the case with other male love interests. Lucien staring at Elain with longing on multiple occasions and never looking at another female that way can't be taken away from their ship. There's no uncertainty over the truth of it. Him saying that Elain (much to his guilt at the realization) is the MOST beautiful female he'd ever seen. That title will always belong to Elain for Lucien, even above Jesminda. That Lucien's loyalty to Elain since the moment they became mates has remained unwavering is canon versus Az who met Elain and remained in love with Mor for a long time after, began to show lust for Elain but then showed admiration and encouragement for Gwyn (something he never showed to Elain versus Lucien who always acknowledged his female friends accomplishments but gave credit to Elain for her part in killing the King and believing in her vision to the point he was willing to risk his life for it).

Love calls, Duty echos ☠︎
(Chris Sturniolo)
(Chapter 1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Eleanor is a pirate captain, she was born on that ship and dedicated her whole life to that ship. One day they capture a navy guard who ends up being very well respected in the navy due to his family. They keep him for ransom. But what happens next when a pirate falls in love with a guy from the navy?.
(A/N: I still will finish my other fanfic I just had this idea and idk.. I need to write this asap. Also I love pirates. ALSO NO USE OF Y/N CBA TO WRITE THAT IM SORRYYY BUT JUST PRETEND UR ELEANOR OR SMTH 🙏🏼 just don’t skip this just bc it’s not y/n)
WARNINGS: mentions of blood, fighting swearing?? (Idk some ppl add this as a warning 😖🙏🏼)
Eleanor sat in her chair impatiently waiting for most of her crew to come back to the ship. Hopefully returning back safely with useful stuff they could later trade in another destination.
She looked at her map pinned against the wall infront of her already planning the travel they had in mind to Europe.
Suddenly she hears yells coming from outside the boat and she feels a soft shift. The boat was leaving quickly. Something probably went wrong.
She hears an unknown yell from outside it sounded younger then the rest of the people on board.
That’s what made her quickly stand up from her seat and quickly walk out of the cabin
When she opens the door to her shock she sees one of the guards from the navy being held at gun point
Before they could shoot the bulllet Eleanor yelled “hey!!!” Getting their attention.
“Don’t kill him. He’s from the navy right?” She looks the brunette guy up and down noticing his uniform
“We could use him for ransom.” She smirked
“Elena do you think they would care for a random guy in the navy? No. They’d shoot our boat down!” One of the older guys said.
“George he’s not just a guy from the navy.” She scoffs walking up to the navy guy.
“He’s from the leaders family. Sturniolo right?” She looks down at him
“Which one are you?” She asks. The guy didn’t give her a answer
“Answer me or that bullet goes through ur head.” She says
“Christopher.” He says hesitantly.
“The youngest.” She smirks “see? They will do anything to get him back safe and alive.” She looks up at George
“Well what should we do with him?” George asks.
“Tie him up. I’ll get the word out and after our next stop we’ll get our money”
“Fine but he’s your fucking responsibility”
An hour later Eleanor decided to visit Chris
She walks up to the edge of the ship where he was sitting
“So chris right?” She sits across him. He looks at her not saying a word “how’s the navy” she asks sarcastically
Chris scoffs “really?” He rolls his eyes looking away from her “hey. I saved your life navy boy” She reminds him.
“Yeah for money.” He says
“What you expect me to tell you I saved you because I found you cute or something? That I fell in love with you the moment I saw you? Yes of course for the fucking money mate.” She chuckles
“You should be thanking me instead. If I didn’t notice you yelling I probably wouldn’t even come out of the cabin and you’d be tossed in the sea.”
He looks at her again “how long am I gonna be tied up for?”
“Maybe when I trust you. Making sure you don’t jump off the ship or attack someone here.” She says
“I won’t. Look I’ve given up.”
Eleanor notices blood on his left arm his uniform being ripped apart
“Oh I didn’t notice that.” She looks at his arm
She felt bad for him. Not knowing the reason behind it, she never felt remorse for people outside the crew
“Let’s get you cleaned up.” She says hesitantly untying his hands immediately when she did she held his other arm firmly so he wouldn’t do anything stupid
Chris sat in his chair inside the cabin looking around.
Eleanor walked up to him with a soaked up cloth while she waits for Chris . Chris looks at her with confusion.
“Yeah I’m not using this cloth to wash your damn uniform am I?” Eleanor snaps at him
“Oh. Right” Chris said taking off his uniform leaving him in a tank top
Eleanor slowly puts the cloth on the injured part of his arm while Chris hisses “Don’t be a baby.” She said looking at him for a split second
“I don’t think water is gonna help much.” He says “well this is all we fucking got so trust the process and pray that it doesn’t get infected” she says sarcastically.
“What’s your name?” He asks
“Eleanor.”
“Ellie. I like that name.” He smiles gently
She flinch moving the cloth away from the wound. She’s surprised no one ever called her Ellie, she didn’t know if she liked it or not. But it sounded soft.
She notices Chris staring down at her and she quickly started cleaning the wound
“Don’t call me that.” She said firmly “why not?” He asked
“Nobody calls me Ellie.”
“Well I’ll be the first”

hello! can i please request happy-end headcanons for alicent, helaena and aemond? happy end headcanonds in terms of them being happy and in love and alive and dance of dragons is far behind them if ever happened. just what it would be like and how would they be in the times of peace with their s/o. TBH i'm just dying to read some proper alicent relationship headcanons where she isn't miserable. let me know if something is wrong with what i requested.
Tumblr media
hi! of course you may! i do find it a little funny that you request head canons for alicent when she isn't miserable, mostly because it feels like i have written quite a bit of stuff where she is miserable. but i'm happy to provide!
idk if this is exactly what you meant? but i’m happy to redo these head canons.
Tumblr media
preamble
choosing to defy the former hand of the king was...well, it was a choice. even with criston’s confession, the queen simply shook her head. standing by rhaenyra was tough, especially when she knew the truth. but when the crown sat upon her best friend’s head, a sigh of relief had left her. rhaenyra does something unexpected from a queen: sparing the lives of her brothers and sisters. do they challenge her claim to the iron throne? yes. but they were not going to do any harm, not when she had legitimate targaryen children with daemon anyways. the waiting, the anticipation, was finally over. and perhaps a simpler, much more joyous life lied ahead.
alicent hightower
the way she hugged you so tightly when you were walking through the godswood. you have never felt such a tighter hug, heard such a loud cry. and she pulled her face away before pressing that long, hard kiss on your lips. you were very surprised and your kiss back was a bit delayed. but when she pulled away, you asked about the celebration. we are free! i am free! she had said. alicent hugged you tightly and then asked you something quite big: go to oldtown with her. she’s taking her kids too. you’ll become their second parent. and yes, you’ve grown up in king’s landing. but alicent was your one and only, the stars in the night sky. you laughed and told her you would go with her. she just kissed you again. you two would go back and spend all your days reading while she laid on your lap and played with your fingers.
“i have only visited oldtown. but every time i have visited, it has never felt like home. and then i realized it was because i was without you. so (y/n), come with me. come with me to oldtown. we can spend our days amongst books and paper and it will be just us.”
aemond targaryen
perhaps he still is bitter. you could tell by the way he clenches his jaw and digs his fingers in his arm. but when he got his vengeance, there was nothing but emptiness. his anger and bitterness still remained. something was missing. and aemond realized how much his desire for vengeance had consumed him when he sees luke say that a dornish soldier had taken out his eye. there was a brief look of exchange between them before rhaenyra cupped his face and told him she was grateful he was okay. an eye for an eye after all. you’re surprised to see him that night and the way he hugs you, burying his face within your chest. he stays there for a long time before pulling away. he asks you to come with him to oldtown. that is where his mother is going after all. you laugh, tell him you can’t exactly leave since you had a found family at the street of silk. but he shakes his head, asking you to come. vengeance was unfulfilling. but you? you made him feel fulfilled. and at this point, who was to care about him being with you? rhaenyra being queen already broke the social norms. people would begin to care less after all.
“i love you (y/n). i love you and i want you to come with me. come with me and be my spouse. we can start a family, start anew. dare i say we can even mount vhagar and leave this wretched place.”
helaena targaryen
helaena had always wanted to travel the world. but as a daughter to the king and queen, she was duty bound. until the day rhaenyra was crowned. she was a princess, yes. but there wasn’t anything for her to really...do. and her mother was going to oldtown. so with her mother’s permission (and a paper signed by her sister), she decides to leave and explore essos. she immediately runs to you, someone working on research. and she asks if you would want to join her in traveling across the narrow sea, see essos, and help her pursue her research in bugs. there were so many she had read about but never seen. and the shine in her eyes made you melt. so of course you said yes! who were you to deny your princess a journey across the narrow sea?
“where shall we go first (y/n)? shall we go to braavos? or lys? where do you need to go to complete your research? we can always go somewhere that suits the both of us. i am happy just being with you.”

Siblings of Water
If all my years of reading One Piece has taught me anything it’s A) remember minor characters, and B) always check for a shown corpse.
6211 words; set post-Wano but also pre-whatever-the-flip nonsense our lads are in at the moment; if something like this ever went down I would freaking scream and idk if anyone in a five mile radius would survive; we need more good blood-siblings in this series because as of this posting the best blood-siblings have been, like, the Ryugu royals and two sets of Wano sibs unless I’m missing someone don’t try to lie to me about any Charlotte shenanigans (though really this has the side-effect of tons of adoptive siblings/found family that are excellent and I admit I am greedy and want it all); one of the most sensible and natural real-world equivalent languages for Law to probably speak is Northern Low Saxon you can’t change my mind I’m not getting out of this chair this has little to do with the fic but it is important to me; we also need Trafalgar Family angst so here we are; this is my 200th fic on FFN and that’s not only pretty cool but my 20th fic was also my first One Piece fic and that was even well before these jokers showed up in the story so idk what that says about a lot of things
Siblings of Water; After their adventures in Wano, the Heart Pirates stumble a quiet island that holds a very jarring surprise for their captain.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
“Nuh-uh; you’re coming with us,” she said. She was standing in the doorway to his cabin, completely not-caring that he was giving her an absolutely murderous look from his position reclined on his bed.
“It’s festival season—I’m not going,” he replied. He tried to look as though he was going back to the highly academic tome of Magicks and Poshuns of Wano and Her Dauters, though in reality, he was simply trying to hide a copy of Sora, Warrior of the Sea from everyone’s prying eyes.
“You were barely at any of the parties in Wano.”
“I was obliged to attend in a nominal and symbolic manner,” he countered. “I’m all festivaled out.”
“Yeah, where you were there for five minutes before wandering off.”
“I enjoy wandering.”
“Wander the festival.”
“I can’t be guaranteed there shall be other adults there.”
“We’ll be there.”
“I know.”
Narrowing her eyes, Ikkaku made an extremely executive decision and stepped into the cabin and grabbed onto Law’s ear, tugging until he closed the book and got out of the bed. She pulled him through the submarine—to the shock of all their crewmates lingering just outside in the corridor—until she had him above deck and down the gangplank and on solid ground again.
“Now, you are going to go with us to the festival, and you are going to enjoy yourself, and you aren’t going to use wandering as an excuse to make your way back here,” she demanded. The rest of the Heart Pirates watched from atop deck, wondering whose will was going to win this time.
“It still doesn’t mean I want to,” he growled.
Ikkaku crossed her arms across her chest, unfazed. “Bepo!”
“Yes, ma’am…?”
“You’re in charge of making sure Law stays out here!” she said. The bear blanched.
“Now that’s not entirely fair,” Law noted.
“It’s fair,” she reasoned. “Stay with us, you’ll be fine. Try to run away and you’re getting sat on by an ass full of fur and Electro that also happens to have you wrapped around his little claw.”
“I am not.”
“We all are and you know this.”
A beat.
“I hate you.”
“You need to touch grass more often, you weird hermit-man.”
“I just touched a lot of grass for an extended period of time, thank you.”
“More often, dweebus.” She then glanced over at the rest of the crew, who shivered in response. “Let’s go, lads! Fun awaits!”
“…but what if someone tries to steal the Tang?” Law asked. Bepo walked up to him and put a comforting paw on his shoulder.
“No one other than Ikka can get the thing started properly,” he grimaced. “Sorry, but, we’re stuck.”
“We were able to work it before she joined up.”
“That was before she made the modifications. It’s mostly anti-theft measures, but if we’re the thieves…”
“I should have left you all on Strawhat-ya’s deck like orphan puppies.”
Bepo didn’t respond to that, which only made Law sigh in resignation.
“Okay, yeah, I’d never do that.”
“Glad you’re aware.”
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Festivals always made Law feel extremely uncomfortable. It reminded him of a time when he would rather study than anything else, sending a searing pang of guilt ripping through his heart. It all reminded him of then, of them, and he was doing his best to seem as disaffected as possible while still trying to figure out a way to speed-chess his way back to the Tang without any repercussions.
Well, at least the beer was decent. It was actual beer at that—Wano had fine native brewing traditions, but none of them resulted in beer. Law found himself huddled over a tankard of stuff leagues better than whatever swill it was that Kaido imported as his crew held him hostage in a picnic area, with them taking up two whole tables on one end, while a band set up on the other end near a stage. Stalls boxed in the varying picnickers and festival-goers alike, which made the particular pirate captain skittish.
“Relax,” Ikkaku smirked into her own beer. It was her first; Law’s third. “You look like a cornered cat.”
“I feel like a cornered cat,” he scowled. Bepo brought over another pile of soft pretzels for the table, which Law wordlessly shambled into bits with ease. Maybe he could get away with wanting to go back in another hour… “Whatever happened to a captain’s veto?”
“It’s because the captain knows that I could have either pulled him by the ear, or the earrings.” Ikkaku popped a bit of pretzel into her mouth and nodded—not bad. “Besides, it’s quality time with just us. It’s been a while since it was just us, all together, no other weirdos in the mix.”
“Yeah, come on, Cap,” Penguin chuckled. “You know, this is why you don’t get laid.”
Shachi choked on his pretzel bite so badly that Law had to get it out.
“Can we please save talk of my non-existent love life for, oh, I don’t know: never?” Law growled.
“All I know is that you’re Emperor material and got nothing to show for it,” Penguin noted. “You could be slaying anything you wanted, as much as you wanted.”
“I hate this conversation.”
“Our captain doesn’t seem like the ‘slaying’ type, though,” Clione offered.
“I really hate this conversation.”
“Yeah,” Penguin nodded, “you’re right—we’d need to recruit whomever it is to the crew, just so they can get to know each other first, then we let them on private shore leave.”
“I swear if this conversation goes on any further I am going to put up the biggest Room I can and drop you in the ocean.”
“You’re in luck, grumpass,” Ikkaku said. She pointed at the stage. “Looks like someone’s coming up to talk—she’s got a transponder snail.” Sure enough, most of the picnic area went quiet, waiting for the person that Law was flat-out refusing to look at out of sheer principle.
“Hi everyone!” a cheery woman said into her Den Den, voice amplified by the tiny snail. “For those of you visiting today, my name is Milla, and I’m one of the island’s resident doctors and chairwoman of this year’s festival!” She paused to let people clap, during which Shachi whistled lowly.
“Oooh, she’s a cutie,” he noted.
“…and probably too smart to be taken in by your dumb ass,” Penguin chortled. The pair kept elbowing one another as the chairwoman continued.
“I just wanted to extend a very warm welcome and thank you from the rest of the committee and island to you,” she said. “Festivals are one of the things that really keeps us going here in the Grand Line, punctuating our seasons in a way that the weather is incapable of doing. It was the same in the town where I grew up, in an icy Blue far away from here, though for different reasons, of course.”
“Huh… she’s from the North?” Hakugan wondered. Despite the fact Law was the one who rolled his eyes, it was Ikkaku who replied.
“The South Blue’s cold too, you know,” she said. She patted Law’s forearm, feeling that his muscles and tendons were tight under his shirt as he held the ale tankard. “Relax.”
“Festivals… really aren’t my thing…”
“You tried that—now stop being so tense and just enjoy some time out of the fart-box.”
“Now,” the chairwoman said, “I’ll sing you a song from that sea to officially open up our festivities. It’s an old one, but it has always warmed my heart after all these years. The music’s not the same, so bear with us, please, if you heard it before. Alright! Hit it!”
The music was slow at first, haunting and eerie—something very out-of-sorts for an otherwise-bright festival. It twisted and turned and reached deep into the crowd that was barely able to contain its excitement. The Heart Pirates mostly gave the chairwoman their attention, the entire orchestra silent except for a singular violin. Then another joined in, then a piano, and finally, the chairwoman herself in words just barely familiar to the Hearts. The North dripped from her voice as she sang a ballad of old heroes and exciting tales; a song of heartbreak and death; a tale of life and what horrors it brought. After the following chorus, the orchestra picked the tempo up slightly, bringing more instruments into the fray.
“Are you alright, Captain?” Ikkaku wondered. The Heart Pirates all looked at Law and saw that he was deathly pale, as though he was sitting across from a ghost instead of Uni. His hands—always surgeon-steady—were trembling and he was chewing on his lower lip.
Adjusting slightly, Law turned so that he could see the festival chairwoman as she continued her song. His eyes went wide and his breath hitched—no… it couldn’t be…
The very image of his mother stood atop the stage.
“Law…? Hellllooooo…” Penguin waved his hand in front of his captain’s face, failing to break him from the trance. “Oh, shit, this isn’t good.”
“Do you think maybe they sang this back where he’s from?” Clione asked. The crew at-large did not know much, but they did know better than to say the White City’s name aloud.
“Why else would he behave this way?” Shachi frowned. He tried snapping his fingers next to their captain’s ear—nothing. “We’re gonna have to take evasive action if this doesn’t stop.”
Then, suddenly, Law stood up, facing the stage and the chairwoman on it. He stared at her, eyes now resolute, watching her as she finished the chorus. His standing there was not out of place, as there were still many around and in the seating areas who were milling about and moving from stalls to tables, yet there was no one else who proceeded to do what he did upon the next verse and an additional strengthening of the tempo…
...Trafalgar Law started singing.
Heart Pirates and villagers alike began to stare, wondering about how he knew this song. His crew’s jaws all dropped at the sound of his singing voice; low and clear, it was one that invoked the idea that he might have even had training at one point—when in the hell did their captain sit with a vocal coach?!
As he continued to sing, Law began to walk up towards the stage. The festival chairwoman saw him and skipped a line of verse, though quickly collected herself and pretended to beckon him up to share the microphone snail with her. They reached the chorus and the band picked up the tempo again, the song now fully becoming cheerful and vibrant and full.
“I’m sorry,” Bepo squeaked, slackjawed, “but in all my years of knowing the captain, this is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“I think this is the weirdest thing any of us have ever seen,” Shachi replied, “and we literally just helped take down two Emperors and an authoritarian regime.”
“He’s smiling,” Ikkaku marveled. “Holy shit he’s smiling… and no one’s about to die.”
“I… don’t feel safe,” Jean Bart muttered. His smaller crewmates all unanimously agreed—there was something that did not feel right about this entire thing, as though their captain might have been in a trance, or in some grave danger.
“Oh, no, he’s dancing,” Shachi groaned. The acute sense of horror that set in amongst his and the other Hearts’ very souls was palpable. “None of this is right. They replaced the captain with a fake…”
“It might be he never found the opportunity before…?” Bepo offered.
“The opportunity to folk dance?!”
“Oh, sorry…”
One more round of the chorus and the song ended, with Law and the chairwoman laughing while taking their bow together. The Hearts watched as their captain ducked down and whispered something in the woman’s ear, her expression startled as she took him by the hand and dragged him off the stage.
“Let’s give him fifteen minutes,” Penguin decided. “If this isn’t resolved by then, we’re going to have to take evasive action and get him back to the Tang for a debrief.”
“What if she’s killed him by then?” Uni asked. Penguin shrugged.
“Maybe Straw Hat’s accepting applications…?”
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Still completely stunned, Law allowed himself to be dragged throughout the backways of the festival by the chairwoman. She hid their path behind stalls and tents as she ducked into a small tent, which was occupied by some other festival officials.
“I need to question this man,” she said firmly. The other two looked at each other, then at her.
“He knew the song,” one noted. “That was a pretty neat trick you pulled.”
“Yeah, and I need to talk to him about it, because random people here just don’t know near-extinct folk songs from the North Blue,” the chairwoman frowned. The other two shrugged at that and left, promising that they would not be disturbed. Once they were out, the chairwoman muttered lowly as she drew the flaps, making it so no one saw them either.
“You know,” Law stated in Northern, “I could honestly say the same thing about you.” He watched as the chairwoman spun on her heel to look at him and he felt an intense sadness creep over him again. This woman, wearing his mother’s face, able to sing a song he hadn’t heard in over fifteen years… it was a sick joke.
“Say it again,” she demanded. “What did you say on the stage?” He exhaled heavily
“I am the Law, you are the Lam.” He watched as her face went pale at the words. “You called yourself something else though…”
“Milla—it’s what I go by thanks to… you know… our name being dangerous.” She watched as he pulled off his hat and scratched at his scalp. Tears began to form in her eyes and her voice grew strained, croaking. “I… thought I forgot what Dad looked like… but he just looked like you.”
“…and you look like Mom.”
“Really…?”
“Yeah.”
The two siblings stood there in the tent awkwardly until Law quietly opened his arms, allowing his sister to crash into a hug. They both cried as they held each other, neither wanting to let go, nor wholly believing it was real.
“Lami… I thought you died.”
“I thought you died, Law,” she replied. “I saw what was left of your classmates… the Sister’s habit… I thought you were already taken away and buried.”
“No one severely hurt me, not physically, but I did get out to the countryside in one of the carts,” he admitted quietly. “When I got back to the hospital, it was in flames, so I did what I could to survive.” He held her at arm’s length and marveled at the fact they were even there. “How did you get out?”
“There was a man who came in before the fire and took me and some of the other kids; they probably would have taken you too had you stayed,” she explained. She then hesitated, wondering how to continue. “What do you know about a place called Punk Hazard?”
“More than I should,” he said lowly.
“We were taken there by the man from the hospital. He said that he was in charge of a program under Dr. Vegapunk meant to cure us, make us better. There was a doctor on the team who knew Dad and she started on me first, since my case was the most severe.” Tears were now streaming down her face in earnest. “She took it all out of me, Law! It was as if it never happened!”
“What did she do? What happened to the rest of the children? What…?”
She shook her head.
“After it was proven I was fully cured, she was killed for the Devil Fruit power that she used to do it, and all of us kids ordered destroyed as evidence. I only survived because her son, one of the nurses, smuggled me out.” She had to brace herself by holding onto the back of a chair. “Sorry… just… the very fact you’re alive right now and we’re talking… I…”
“Lami, my name has been all over the papers—I have one of the highest current bounties of all pirates—how did you not know I was alive?”
“I read medical journals, not the newspaper,” she defended. “Close I get is my coworkers leave me the comics section.”
“I have bounty posters.”
“I have literally been here the past five years, becoming a resident doctor and pouring my heart and soul into this place. If it happened during that, then I don’t know what to tell you.”
“That’s another thing,” Law noted. “Since when were you interested in being a doctor? I last saw you when you were five and you wanted to be a unicorn when you grew up.”
Lami shifted uncomfortably. “Like I said: I thought you were dead.”
He shook his head, a laugh on his lips. “Then you’re going to love what they call me.” A newspaper caught his eye and he picked it up; yes, it was the most recent edition. He found the bounty posters hidden inside and took out his own, passing it to her. She blanched as she read it, realizing exactly what it was her brother had become.
“‘Surgeon of Death’,” she read aloud. “Then you became a doctor too…? Just like Mom and Dad…?”
“At first I really just wanted to kill and destroy as much as I could after leaving Flevance, but by the time I had been cured, something had shifted.” He then looked at Lami, eyebrow raised. “How did the doctor on Punk Hazard cure you?”
“Devil Fruit,” she shrugged. “A twitch of her fingers and she could take me apart bit by bit without it hurting. She could even take things out of me without opening me up. Never did learn what it was called… but that doesn’t matter, because the Government I’m sure has it now, having a crony use it to make Pacifistas or something equally as horrible.”
Law shook his head and quietly opened a Room that surrounded her. “I wouldn’t say that.” He disassembled her right arm and she gasped, completely taken aback. “It must have slipped from their fingers, but I hear that it ended up in good hands.” He put her back together and she started to sob uncontrollably. She didn’t even resist when he pulled her into another hug, feeling more like they were children again than anything.
Then, without warning, Lami stopped making sound.
It wasn’t as though she stopped crying—oh no, she was still sobbing, borderline violently in fact—but as far as making noise? Completely quiet. He stared at her in silence, only to realize something: the entire time they had been in the tent, there was no audible evidence that they were in the middle of a festival.
“Lami?” She looked up at him and froze, realizing what had happened.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” she sniffled. “I’m usually much better at controlling that.” She cringed as her brother grew gravely serious, as though everything relied on her answer to his next question.
“Since when have you been able to use a Devil Fruit?”
“Since I was about… I don’t remember… eleven…? Twelve…? I wasn’t paying attention because I was studying while traveling—thought it was a fancy apple.” It then hit her that he got her to unknowingly out herself, to which she scowled. “How could you tell it was a Fruit and not something else?”
“The man who saved me had your Devil Fruit,” he said. Law went to the tent flaps and looked outside—he couldn’t hear a thing until he psychically stuck his head out, retreating quickly. “I had no will to live, and then… he stole me from a pretty dangerous place too.”
“Then maybe, somehow, they both knew that we had to live in order to meet one another again… to give our names back their meaning.”
Law simply held out his hand, Lami staring at it warily. “Will you come with us, then? We could use a tactical advantage like you.”
“…but I’m not good at fighting.”
“…but you are good at this.” Law gestured with both arms at the tent surrounding them. “How long is the festival?”
“Until tomorrow night.”
“Think about it—we can afford to relax for another day.” He held out his hand again. “At least come meet my crew…?”
“Later; I’ve got… oh, shit, I’ve got things to do for the festival!” Lami panicked and went to exit the tent, only for her to be met with Shachi catching them as he was walking by. He started shouting at the two of them—despite the unknown silence—with Lami backing into the tent again as he approached.
“—and furthermore—!” He paused as he stepped over the threshold of the tent, blinking in confusion. “What the hell just happened? Where’s all the noise?”
“Nagi Nagi no Mi—Calm Calm Fruit—I can literally negate noise okay bye!” Lami skirted around Shachi and ran out of the tent, the noise barrier lifting as she went. Shachi watched her leave, then stared at Law curiously.
“What was that…?”
“Long story.”
“I’ve been around you for long enough—I got time.”
“Longer than we’ve known each other.”
“That’s… a long time.”
“Indeed.” The pair walked together back to where the rest of the crew was waiting nervously, all eyeing their captain in an attempt to figure out what happened. Law downed the remainder of his beer in one go and placed the tankard back on the table. “Drank, sang, danced; I think I’ve touched enough grass to earn the right to go back to the Tang.”
“I’ll agree with that,” Ikkaku nodded. They all watched as he stormed away, stride a bit too quick for normal. “Shit—looks like someone’s going to be grumpy all night. Let’s give him a bit, then grill him good.”
“That sounds dangerous,” Bepo grimaced.
“It’s what we have available to us, or else no one is going to enjoy this festival,” she shrugged. She popped a bit of pretzel in her mouth and sighed dramatically—traveling with a bunch of men certainly was tiresome sometimes.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
The very moment that Law returned back to the Polar Tang, he went directly into his cabin and locked the door behind him. It did not matter that he literally had the entire ship to himself—only when he was inside the safety of his private quarters did he break down and allow himself to sob in earnest, curled up on his bunk and allowing himself a weakness he rarely indulged in, for what was the captain of a pirate crew except for strong?
Hours passed and Law laid there, his entire body shaking in trepidation. After all these years, all this time, his sister was alive. She was here, in the Grand Line, and alive.
Trafalgar D. Water Lami was alive.
Two of them survived.
After everything that tried to silence them over the years, they were still alive.
Fuck, he couldn’t stop thinking that word.
Alive.
Suddenly, he was restless. Law quickly stood and began pacing in his tiny cabin. Rarely had he felt as though he was going to bounce off the fucking walls, but that’s where he was, and he needed to calm down. He stopped in the middle of the room and looked at his hands, remembering what it was she had said earlier.
…I… thought I forgot what Dad looked like…
A weight dropped in his stomach.
…but he looked just like you.
Slowly, Law turned towards the mirror that was hanging in his sliver of a washroom. His mouth felt very dry all of a sudden as the face staring back at him stripped away the very thing he did his best to not address all these years. He grabbed onto his chair and shakily leaned on it—fuck, oh fuck, why did this hurt? Why was this so hard? His chest felt tight as he reached for a box sitting on a shelf, gingerly placing it on the desk before opening it. He pulled out a pair of charred eyeglass frames and shakily put them on, the thin metal burnished and lens-less, confirming everything bearing down on him. His eyesight blurred as tears distorted it, knowing that she assured him of the cruel joke that he had been terrified of all these years.
He really did look like their dad.
“Captain…?” It was Hakugan, pounding at the door, startling Law as he took the frames off in a panic. “Captain, you’ve got a visitor!”
“Don’t fuck with me,” he growled.
“That’s why Penguin sent me, because I don’t do that shit, apparently.”
Law put the eyeglass frames back in the box and placed it back in the box. He took a deep breath and opened the door, seeing the unchanging expression of his crewmate’s mask. “Who is it?”
“That lady you were singing with; she’s insisting we let her talk with you.”
“Is she in the Tang?”
“No; top deck.”
“Then I’m going to need you, Clione, and Bepo to run crowd control and make sure that no one bothers us.”
“Shachi says she’s got a Devil Fruit…”
“It’s a silencer, nothing more.” He waited until Hakugan stepped aside before heading up towards the roof of the ship. There was Lami, standing by the gangplank, a knapsack over her shoulder and a duffle bag in her hand as the rest of the crew gawked at her. Law calmly walked up to her, hearing the noise of the crew fade away as he entered her space. “That was fast.”
“They recognized you,” she said simply. “My committee members might have pulled a coup and voted to relieve me of my duties so I can go sail with my brother.”
“Do they…?”
“One says we look alike, but I don’t think that at all,” she laughed weakly. “They don’t think we’re eloping at least.”
“Well, that’s good,” he shuddered. He could feel a presence behind him, who he knew to be Bepo not only due to Haki and long-friendship with the bear, but also due to the way his sister’s eyes lit up. “What is it, Bepo?”
“I’m sorry, but, what’s going on…?”
“Oh, yeah, the rest of you are here,” Law frowned. He turned towards the rest of the crew and motioned towards Lami. “She’s staying.”
“Uh… Captain…?” Shachi said warily. “Why is the island’s festival chairwoman staying?”
“Lami’s staying with us for a while,” Law stated, leaving no further room for comment. “Ikkaku, it looks like you’re getting a women’s quarters after all.”
“Yes!” the aforementioned engineer grinned as she pumped her fist. “Keep asking and good things will come!”
“You know that, statistically-speaking, it was only a matter of time before another woman started traveling with us,” Uni stated. “Women are half the world.”
“Yeah, but for some reason there’s only a fraction of us on the seas, let alone the Grand Line,” she fired back. “So, Lami, was it? You and I need to talk about how we’re going to build this room, because it’s going to be a very important haven when these dweebs start doing shit like running around naked on laundry day or when they decide to induce shedding on Bepo or start playing Rivet, Rivet, Better Skip It…”
“You’re just jealous that you never win because you suck,” Penguin smirked.
“I ‘suck’ because, reportedly, ‘fuck you’,” Ikkaku sneered, using liberal amounts of air-quotes. She then grabbed onto Lami’s upper arm and pulled her along, disappearing into the bowels of the Tang. The rest of the crew simply stared at Law.
“I thought we were only really recruiting people from the North Blue,” Uni mentioned. “Y’know, barring Bepo and Jean Bart.”
“She is.”
“She knew a song, Captain—that doesn’t prove anything.”
“It proves more than you know.”
“Was she from Flevance?” Everyone looked over at Jean Bart, who seemed reserved in his accusation, making the large man seem so incredibly timid. No one else said a word, instead turning their attention towards their captain.
Instead of responding verbally, Law simply went down beneath the deck, finding where Ikkaku had dragged Lami off to; they were in the mess hall, the former having pulled out an impressive set of schematics that were boggling the younger’s mind.
“You sure you’re alright like this?” he asked. She glanced up at him, very clearly as though she knew the blueprints were over her head.
“I think so…” She ran her fingers over a cutaway illustration and her brow furrowed. “I can do complicated surgeries and can identify any humanoid organ by sight alone, but this…”
“She’s like a surgeon, but for a ship, in a way,” Law shrugged. “What we do with people, she does with metal.”
“Then you’re also a doctor?” Ikkaku noted. “Nice. You and the captain will make a good team then.” She waggled her eyes at Law, who scowled at her grouchily.
“Lami is my sister,” he said, deciding to cut that off at the bud. Ikkaku froze in place, letting the information wash over her before slowly nodding.
“Does anyone else know this?”
“No.”
“Is anyone else allowed to know this?”
“The crew is, yeah, but remember: they are a bunch of dumbasses.”
“True enough.” She then glanced over at Lami, who seemed to be flushing pink in embarrassment. “Anything else I need to know about?”
“I ate a Devil Fruit that makes everything quiet and I love reading Sora, Warrior of the Sea and festivals are literally my favorite thing ever and have been since I was little.”
“That actually explains a lot,” Ikkaku chuckled. She gave Law a shit-eating grin, one that sent a chill down his spine. “Don’t worry, Captain; we’ll take care of your little sister, not a problem.”
“LITTLE SISTER?!”
The three turned towards the doorway to find the rest of the crew standing by the mess hall’s entrance, jaws dropped in astonishment. Penguin and Shachi were so moved, even, that they both started crying.
“You came through for us and got the crew a cute little sister after all!” Shachi sobbed.
“Yeah, Captain! We’ll treat her just as we would our own little sister!” Penguin added tearfully.
“Neither of you have a sister, which begs many a question,” Law deadpanned.
“Not to mention how in the hell they’ve been treating me all these years,” Ikkaku griped. Lami went and surprised them both, along with the entire rest of the crew, by going between them and bowing at the waist.
“Thank you for taking such good care of my brother all these years!” she said. When she straightened, her eyes were glassy and red-rimmed. “It’s been my dream to find someone from Flevance again, and for it to be my brother… you have no idea what it means to me!”
“Big brothers are the best, aren’t they?” Bepo asked cheerfully. Lami mirrored his smile despite the tears leaking down her face.
“They really are! Especially when you haven’t seen them in a long time!”
Bepo brought Lami into a tight hug and the rest of the Hearts cheered—a new younger sister! The captain’s younger sister at that! Things really were looking up.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Pudding had long ago accepted the fact that she was a hostage, waiting to be rescued. In fact, she was perfectly fine with the idea that she was perfectly helpless until at least one of her siblings arrived. Was it going to be an enjoyable reunion? Probably not. What she also knew, however, was that the two men that made up her guard were complete and utter thugs.
“Mommy’s dead—she ain’t gonna help ya,” the guard on the left grinned. She felt the undying urge to take a shower just from him looking at her.
“I have more powerful people behind me than just my mother, if you’re that set on her dying,” she huffed. “Katakuri is a very protective older brother, I’ll have you know.”
“If he can bother hunting down one little lamb while the rest of the flock is panicking in the power vacuum?” Right chuckled. “I doubt. Mommy and Uncle Kaido kinda played into our commodore’s hands.”
“Hmm… I doubt.”
“Oh, you’re gonna doubt a lot of shit once the commodore’s done with you, girlie,” Left chortled.
Ugh. So fucking cringe.
Just then, Pudding noticed that as the two guards moved to better face—and therefore better taunt—her, two women came into view. One with curly hair and the other with hair pulled back in a neat bun, they both were motioning for her to keep quiet. Neither of them seemed to give off the same vibe as the rest of the crew, so Pudding decided to play along. Well, how bad could it get?
“Uh-huh, sure, as though he’d even know what to do with me.”
Without making a sound, both women moved behind the guards, the one with the curly hair hitting them in the back of the head with an oversized wrench to knock them out. The other woman grabbed the keys and unlocked the cell, the keys refusing to make even a single clinking noise. She approached Pudding and touched her pointer and middle finger to the teen’s lips before beginning to work on the restraints.
“Charlotte Pudding, I presume?”
“…and to whom do I owe this rescue?” she asked. “You don’t look like you’re from the Family.”
“Let’s just say we don’t think that a cute kid like you should be with these gross molesters-in-waiting,” the curly-haired woman smirked. She gave Pudding a wink, then a pistol. “I’m Ikkaku, this is Lami. Our captain’s providing us a distraction as we speak.”
“…and how do I know that I’m not walking right from one den of crazies into another?” Pudding asked. The two older women glanced at each other and shrugged.
“I swear on my belching metal baby, the Polar Tang, that we’re actually pretty decent,” Ikkaku claimed.
“…and I swear on my Hippocratic Oath that I would not do anything to provoke harm, nor allow senseless acts to be committed towards anyone under my care, which you now are,” Lami stated.
“So, really, we’re weird, but in an ‘everyone is weird’ sense,” Ikkaku shrugged, “or a ‘our gruff captain is a secret comic book nerd’ sort of sense.”
“I have over eighty siblings—I think I can handle that,” Pudding deadpanned. She tied up her skirt and turned all three eyes towards her rescuers. “Want to cause some trouble on the way out?”
“You sure that’s fine to do with the crew of your mother’s killer?” Ikkaku wondered, eyebrow raised. Pudding simply shrugged.
“It’s either cause some trouble with you two, or…” she grimaced at the sight of her prior jailers, “I get into trouble with these guys. My options aren’t exactly great right now.”
“Then maybe it’s a good thing that we put extra bunks in the women’s quarters after all,” Lami nodded. She then quickly looked over Pudding with a glance—they didn’t hurt you, did they?”
“No…” The young Charlotte looked at her rescuers cautiously. “You seem pretty calm.”
“Regarding what?” Ikkaku asked. An explosion went off on the other side of the wall, shaking the room they were in. “That’s just the rest of the losers we sail with—nothing more.”
“No, I mean…” She hesitated, not really knowing how to broach the topic she kept so long a secret. “You aren’t freaked out over my eyes.”
“I’m literally one of two known survivors of a mass poisoning event that everyone else thought was a plague, so you’re in luck: we know what it’s like to be stared at by assholes,” Lami shrugged. “Besides, that eye of yours reads Poneglyphs, correct?”
“Supposedly…”
“Then you’re going to love what we’ve got waiting for you.” Lami gestured towards the door with her head as another rumble shook them, though not quite as violently. “How ‘bout it? Prove to your family you can do something without them?”
“…and what makes you think I have that sort of family…?”
“You said it yourself, kid: you’ve got over eighty siblings.” Ikkaku nervously eyed what she hoped was not the ballast tank and laughed awkwardly. “C’mon ladies, we should really get out of here before our cover’s blown!”
Another rumble rocked the ship and the three got going, headed back towards the miniature docking sub and away from the mess. They got out and Ikkaku sent a pulse through the water, letting Shachi and Penguin know it was alright to begin attacking the ship in earnest.
Mission accomplished.

Dear @bookfansworld happy belated holidays! I hope they were healthy (we had sickness and some family members found that bothersome- henceforth I will always wish good health) and happy!
The drabble below is your Byler Secret Santa gift! I hope you enjoy it! I had fun writing it and learned a lot in the process. ❤️
(#no beta we die like men #fantasy #byler #angst? #fluff? #idk how to tag things actually)
In which one Will Byers is trying to understand one Mike Wheeler.
Byler Fantasy AU Drabble
“What was that?” Will demanded coming to stand in front of Mike who was rooting around in his saddle bag for a rag.
“I don’t know what you mean.” Mike said.
“Don’t be like that. You know what I’m talking about.”
Mike was silent and refused to look Will in the eyes, choosing instead to busy himself using the rag he had found to clean the blood off of his sword.
Will stared him down. “Why did you push me aside?” He asked. Mike shifted on his feet but kept his eyes trained on his hands as he carefully slid his rag along the edge of the blade. “I had it under control, Mike! You almost got yourself killed jumping between us like that!” Will shouted.
“Will!” Mike said finally bringing his eyes up to meet Will’s. “Would you just leave it alone?”
For a moment neither of them spoke. Will’s hands were clenched at his side. His face resigned. “I thought you were different than the others.” He said, breaking the silence. “I thought you trusted me to protect myself and to ask when I need help.”
“I do.” Mike said defensively.
“Then why did you push me aside?” Will asked. An unreadable expression flashed across Mike’s face and his hand tightened around the hilt of his sword where he held it at his side.
“Mike, please. I don’t understand.” Will said quietly.
“You really want to know?” Mike asked.
“Yes.”
“Fine.” The sound of metal scraping against metal rang out in the silence as he slid his sword into its scabbard. “I did it out of duty. Duty to the crown—to your mother.” Mike folded his arms across his chest. “I did it because you’re the crown prince now, and ever since Jonathan died I-” Mike faltered then continued more slowly. “The Queen has spoken with me about the importance of your safety. She requested that I be willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure that you survive this quest.” Will’s face had gone pale at Mike’s words, but Mike continued. “If it had been her choice alone, she never would have allowed you to come.” Mike paused a moment then added, “If it had been my choice, I wouldn’t have either.”
“I see.” Will said stiffly. “So, you don’t trust me after all. That was just a lie.”
“What? No, it wasn’t!”
“It was! It was a lie because if it were true, you wouldn’t share my mother’s feelings. You wouldn’t say that you believed I could handle myself and then wish that you could have left me home!”
“That’s just- that’s just not true! You don’t understand.”
“I don’t? Then explain it to me.” Will countered.
“I- ” Mike stopped. He wore an uncharacteristically vulnerable expression on his face. “I can’t.” He whispered. Disappointment filled Will’s face.
“Why are you lying to me, Mike?” Will asked softly. “What happened to us?” He shook his head and turned away from Mike, walking towards his horse that was tethered to a tree a few steps beyond Mike’s.
Mike felt guilt set in immediately as he watched Will walk away. He noted the tense set of his shoulders and the way his hands moved in short, abrupt motions as he examined his horse’s tack—tightening straps and making sure each buckle was safely fastened. Mike groaned and kicked the ground in frustration.
“We should keep going,” Will said over his shoulder. He untied his horse’s reigns from the low branch they were fastened to and swung himself up into his saddle in one graceful motion. He gently nudged his horse forward until it was standing near Mike. “Are you coming?” Will asked. He sat on top of his horse looking down at Mike from above. His posture was immaculate even while riding and at the moment he looked every bit the royal that he was. Mike had never felt the distance between them so strongly.
Mike shook his head. He suddenly felt that if he didn’t explain everything to Will now, he would never get the opportunity again. “I’d like to try and explain myself again if you’ll give me a second chance.” Mike said. Will’s face was a picture of confusion, but he nodded.
“No lies this time?”
“No lies.”
“Alright.” Will agreed hesitantly.
Mike felt sick with apprehension, but he knew he couldn’t change his mind now. It would leave Will even more hurt. Mike didn’t want to be the cause of that again and he owed Will the truth. He begged the powers that be, if there was such a thing, that what he was about to say would be received well even though he knew it could never be reciprocated.
“I shouldn’t have said what I did just now.” Mike said softly. “It may have started out that way, as a role that I performed out of duty alone, but now-” Mike took a deep breath. His heart felt as though it would beat right out of his chest. “For you I would risk everything—life and limb. Whether you were a prince or not. Even if I had never sworn an oath to the crown.” Will’s eyes widened and his mouth parted on a breath his horse began to shuffle its feet uneasily. Mike wasn’t sure if he had just created a chasm between them that he would never be able to bridge but now that he had started, he couldn’t stop and he rushed on to explain himself.
“When I was younger all I ever wanted was to be seen. To belong. I didn’t think I would ever have that… I came close to it with the party but even then, I always felt that there was something missing. When the Queen elected me to lead the party assigned to protect you things changed. I met you.” Mike stepped forward and took hold of Will’s horse by the bridle. He held it still and gently stroked its neck in an effort to calm it down. “I got to know you and knowing you changed me. You changed me. And just now when I said those things… I didn’t-” he faltered.
“I was afraid of the truth.” He said. “Because the truth is, I love you, Will. And I could never forgive myself if anything happened to you. I could never forgive myself. And if you were gone—I’m not sure I remember how to live without you.”
“Mike,” Will said softly.
“You don’t have to say anything, Will.” Mike said. He scrubbed his hand gently between the ears of Will’s horse and avoided Will’s eyes.
“I want to.” Will huffed. He dismounted and came to stand next to Mike. When Mike still refused to look at him, Will reached up and took hold of Mike’s hand where it had gone motionless against his horse’s neck. Mike’s eyes flew to his in surprise and Will smiled. “I feel the same way, Mike.” Mike’s mouth fell open in surprise and Will laughed.
“Did you think I was going to hate you?” Will asked.
“I was afraid you would.” Mike admitted.
“I couldn’t bring myself to hate you even if I wanted to, Mike. Even just now I couldn’t have hated you even though I was so upset. You’re the most important person to me in the whole world, I just didn’t know how to tell you. I love you.”
“I think you’re the best thing to ever happen to me.” Mike said softly.
“Really?”
“Definitely.” Mike said. He threaded their fingers together and smoothed his thumb over Will’s knuckles. “May I kiss you?” Mike asked shyly.
“I would like that.” Will replied with a smile.

What do you think about Day feeling uncomfortable in his own house since the accident? His mother is at home very often but their relationship worsened. His brother is now more of a guardian. They try to spend as much time with him as they can, but he doesn't feel support, he feel control? After Mork started working for them, Day once asked him to take him to Mork's house (which I assume is connected to the workshop where he repairs cars) and they both knew Day's mother won't like the idea, so in the evening they just went for a walk and came to spend the night at Mork's place (even though Mork was against the idea, feeling responsibility and not wanting to worse relationship with Day's mother but. Day could ask anything and he would try to do it for him and this was basically nothing. So he called Day's mother and pretended they stopped at his place because it was late in the evening and Day was tired). Mork led him by the hand and put his palm on different objects, letting him feel. He sat Day down on his bed, gave him clothes to change into. Maybe they had sex their for the first time, because there was no one else here, just the two of them (insert image of Day lifting up Mork's tshirt and pressing it to his face and Mork standing there not knowing what to do, until Day decided that the next step should be him pressing his face against Mork's neck). Idk what that is, just stray headcanon
IN THIS HOUSE WE DEEPLY APPRECIATE EVERY KIND OF HEADCANONS, STRAY OR OTHERWISE, SO DON'T YOU WORRY ANON
i actually hope that you don't mind if i ramble a little here (she says as if that ever stopped her before), but you brought up something that i've been thinking about a lot these days, which is day's relationship with his family and his house. we're seeing this same topic being handled in heart's storyline in moonlight chicken and i think it's interesting how we can already infer some differences and similarities between the two (assuming that p'aof isn't gonna change things too drastically from the last twilight mock trailer): if heart's parents are neglecting and abandoning him in an empty house, day's mom and brother seem to be overprotective and reluctant to leave him alone. both families' attitudes are wrong because they fail to look past the disability itself and to still treat heart and day as whole, complete people with hopes and dreams, which only ends up alienating them from the world
heart and day, however, start the story in two very different places: heart's incident was three years ago and in this time he has come to consider the house almost like a prison, but day's incident only just happened and for him the house is the only safe place left. in the trailer, day's mom says that "day has been staying only in the house since the accident", which - unlike in heart's case - seems to be his own choice that his mom fully endorses. li ming and mork represent the outside world bursting inside and reaching out to them, but while heart readily accepts the hand he's being offered, day is more reluctant to do so, and i think it's gonna be incredibly interesting to see day slowly change, because eventually it WILL happen, eventually day is gonna want to go outside and experience new things, and i don't think his family will be very happy about it. that's when, like you said, the house is gonna turn from a place of safety to a place of confinement and his family will start to feel more like they are his keepers
and now excuse me for a second as I GO WANDER THE STREETS AT NIGHT TO HOWL AT THE MOON BECAUSE I'VE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE IDEA OF DAY GOING TO MORK'S APARTMENT!!!!!! like.. idk there's something to be said about mork constantly being at day's house and filling the place with his own presence and finally allowing day to be in mork's own space too. and i also love the idea of mork being hesitant at first because like you said he knows mork's mom wouldn't be happy about it, but also because he thinks his apartment isn't much compared to day's house: it's small and kinda dusty and there's a mess everywhere, but i like to think that day would just smile and joke about it by saying "well, it's not like i will be able to tell anyway." so mork takes him there and it turns out that day LOVES the place because unlike his own house, which smells like cleaning products and air freshener and the only sounds you can hear come from the wind going through the branches and the chirping of the birds outside, mork's apartment is full of life. there are so many different scents he can pick up - the faint traces of motor oil coming from the garage below, the stir fry meat mork ate for lunch still lingering in the air, the fresh laundry coming from the bathroom, the cigarette smoke that seeped into the walls - and even with the windows closed he can hear people talking in the streets
and then mork guiding day's hands around the place (SCREAMING SHAKING CRYING THROWING UP BTW) so he can feel everything under his fingers while mork tells him stories about each item day touches: some ugly knick knack namtan's character gave to him as a joke for his birthday, his old DVD collection, a picture of his family.... AND OKAY I NEED TO STOP NOW BECAUSE THIS IS ALREADY WAY TOO LONG BUT THE TWO OF THEM HAVING SEX FOR THE FIRST TIME AT MORK'S APARTMENT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE BECAUSE THERE'S WHERE DAY IS GONNA START FEELING LIKE HIMSELF AGAIN AND I THINK I NEED TO BE SEDATED NOW THANKS

Vent: divorce, mom, and school + mentions of abuse
this is word vomit btw, and i left out a lot of context.
My mom told me on my first day of school that she doesn’t love my dad and wants to divorce him. Idk how she was expecting me to react cause she got upset i started crying. Like girl… what the fuck? this couldn’t wait after you already told my dad and my siblings who don’t even live in the house anymore. Before like 3 weeks after that, i was the only one who knew about it. That was 3 weeks of me suffering alone. And why she only told me? cause i’m her only daughter, and she thinks that means i automatically will agree with her point of views or whatever. After that, my dad started telling me about the changes he saw in my mom, and how he feels so hurt about it. That ducking hurt me so much cause i knew, but i wasn’t allowed to tell him. I should really stop listening to my mom when she tells me to do certain stuff. After the 3 weeks had passed and she told my dad she wanted to divorce him, he told me, and i came clean over what she told me. My mom didn’t know i knew that she already told my dad. This friday, only me and her went on a trip to see some family, and i told he about how much this has affected me, both mentally and emotionally. She straight up told me that it shouldn’t be affecting me at all since it doesn’t involve me. Like yes it fucking does??? i’m literally y’all’s child??? who still lives in the home and has to be forced to see and hear everything that happens in the house?? and she told me that reason why she’s divorcing my dad is cause he never wants to be around us or go to church. Like first of all, she said it like he’s purposely avoiding us. His job is the thing that schedules him to work on sundays. He also works 2 jobs to be able to afford the home we live in. He’s also been the only one doing the chores and shit around the house. He recently actually looked for a new job so that he could spend time with us, but he had to drop it since my mom needed him to pick me up and take me to school. She also tried to convince me that my dads some bad father since he never is around for us. Like yeah i’ve been sad before cause his jobs keep us away, but every experience i have with him is good. Comparing how he treats us to my mom, my mom was always abusive when we where younger, and she still is, just not physically. My dad has never been abusive to us, and is genuinely interested in us as people even when he doesn’t understand what we are talking about. My mom only cares about stuff when it’s for church or we can win something from it. My dad only cares if it makes us happy.
I literally hate my mom so much right now. She literally lied to my face too about her not telling my dad this at all. I know she told my dad this. She legit told me that her and my dad aren’t leaving the house or anything. My dad legit told me like last week he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to take this anymore. What is she gonna do when at the end of the month, my dad moves out the house and she has to pay the mortgage on her own. Like her whole pay check can be spent on the bills alone. We won’t be able to live in that house.
My dad asked me once if i they where to seperate, who would i got with. I said him. I can’t stand to be alone with my mom ever. Much less a 8-14 muinite car ride too and from school. I’m also graduating highschool this year. If my mom ends up moving somewhere to far from my school, i am not going with her. if my dad moves too far from the school i won’t leave either. I have college classes there, and i don’t want to risk getting possible probation from college by not being able to complete the class. I might ask my oldest brother if he can somehow take me in just for me to be able to still go to school there. He lives near by with his gf anyways. I’m looking at colleges right now, and i’ve been looking at one in massachusetts. After i re take my sat, i’ll see if i apply to it. If i get accepted, i’ll probably head up there and stay. I know it will be really expensive to live up there. But i don’t want to live here anymore. And i don’t want to be anywhere near my mom either.
Tbh, considering coming out to my very christian mom and transgender. She’s always told me on how she’s always wanted a daughter, and how i’m her little miracle/doll for being her last child and being a girl. Wanna rip that away from her.
I feel so bad for my dad. He really loves my mom, but my mom doesn’t wanna work things out. Feel like i’m 9 again.
might talk to my brother about it tbh. The oldest one. idk. Also i’m late on like an assignment so i should probably turn it in.

the fact that Y/N has post natal depression Is somewhat refreshing idk I just don't see it talked about much on here and if it is it's like Hella angsty and the partner doesn't understand what it is but I was wondering if u could touch on it a bit more cause it's something I'm really scared about happening to me and I just want harry to hold me and tell me it's going be okay 😚😚😚😚
P.s. if u don't wanna it's understandable
anon: can u write about harry helping y/n through her ppd maybe like the 3rd time was so bad that h decide that he won’t be having more children
so this was requested twice so i would love to be able to write this for you both, hope this is okay - mind it’s heavily angsty!;
tw: vomiting, ppd and od
oli - 4, felix - 3, belle - 12 weeks
Motherhood was really fucking hard.
The birth of your newly born daughter, Isabella, had really taken a back pedal on your mental health. You had suffered with post natal depression after the birth of your two sons, but nothing as bad as this.
It had hit you around the 7 week mark after giving birth. The pregnancy itself was okay, even though she was slightly premature, but it was after you’d taken her home that it’d all spiralled downhill. It started with complications with her breastfeeding - like she was rejecting the milk that you had produced. It hurt to see her reject you and your body, finding more comfort in drinking from a pre-made milk bottle as her dad rocked her to sleep. You recall the evening so clearly and felt like an utter failure as you watched her drink a bottle of formula for the first time.
“Ssh ssh,” Harry cooed to your 7 week old daughter as he rocked her in his arms on the rocking chair in her nursery. She was whining because she was hungry, but the problem was that she wasn’t accepting your milk. She hadn’t been accepting your milk all day and now it was becoming dangerous for you to keep on saying ‘Oh i’ll just try later.’ Harry had told you to make a formula bottle for her. “Mummy’s coming.”
As much as you didn’t want to, you were walking back to the nursery with a warm bottle in your hands. You’d tested it on your hand to make sure it wasn’t too hot and then taken a sip to taste it, out of jealousy, and you thought that it didn’t taste any different to you. Then again you’re not a 7 week old human whose only date is milk.
“Look here’s mummy with your yummy milk, okay? Look Belles!” Harry cooed at his darling angel and you only wished he wasn’t as happy for her as he was.
“Yeah.” You spoke softly, handing him the bottle and standing nearby, part of you hoping that she would reject this too and she wasn’t just rejecting you.
But no, she drank the formula like it was her last meal.
“Such a sweet girl, aren’t you?” Harry praised her, watching her in awe as she kept on drinking the formula. Watching as she was drinking to become the strong girl you knew she’d become. It just hurt that it wasn’t you that could help her become that.
You felt powerless. Worthless, even. The one thing that you had carried the weight of your breasts around to do and you couldn’t even do it. Your nipples were so sore and your breasts ached so badly and it was all for nothing. Perhaps it was punishment for being such a bad mum. Perhaps you’d never been good enough for this job and it was your bodies way of shutting you down forever. You wouldn’t need the ability to produce milk anymore, because you weren’t worth the title of becoming one again. You wanted to be happy for your little one, seeing her happy but all you felt was rejection and sadness. She didn’t think you were good enough to be her mum and that really hurt.
Along with the breastmilk problem, Belle also became very stubborn when you wanted to change her nappy. Anytime you tried to change and help her she put up a fuss, kicking her legs and sometimes she would bite or hit you away. It was just a reminder that you weren’t a good enough mum for her and that she didn’t feel safe enough around you. She didn’t find comfort in your presence and she was so fussy about what you did around her. With Harry, though, she was an angel. She loved him so much and obviously he made her feel so loved and safe - something you’d clearly never be able to give her.
There was also the chores of being a mother to your other two sons too. Oli and Felix were old enough to understand that they had a baby sister, but they weren’t old enough to understand how miserable you were. Harry wasn’t even able to figure it out yet. You tried your best to put on your bravest face, knowing that your family needed you to be strong but the truth was that you were crumbling on the inside. You were feeling less and less like yourself and you were waiting for the moment when you’d completely fall apart. Nothing felt right anymore. Everything was just numb.
“You two boys okay?”
You walked into the children’s playroom see that they were sat at the little table colouring in. Felix’s little legs dangled slightly, whereas Oli’s legs touched the floor and it made your heart swell at how big they were both getting.
“Yep!” Oli cheered, scribbling with his left hand as his tiny tongue stuck out from his lips as he concentrated - a habit passed onto him from his father.
“What are you both drawing?” You asked, coming over and kneeling on the floor beside them and having a peek at their drawings.
“We’re colouring for daddy.” Felix answered, some of the words not being pronounced properly due to his young lisp and lack of being taught how to say things correctly yet.
His words stung though. You appreciated that he was only a toddler and he meant nothing evil or malicious by it, but it hurt to think that maybe, just maybe, your sons were doing this for their dad because he did so much more for them than you did. Of course you tried to be the best mum you could, but maybe you weren’t doing enough. Maybe you weren’t meant to be a mum after all, or at least not a good one.
“O-oh,” you tried to hold back the tears in your eyes because your boys looked so proud at their artwork - and you should be too. “Tell me about them then, my loves.”
Oli went first, “So this is me and this is Oli and this is dad. It’s us playing football like we did the other day, mummy.” He pointed out to each of the figures, some looking actually quite terrifying but you’d never have the heart to tell him that. The figures were all holding hands though and it hurt to think that you weren’t a part of that.
“Oh that’s so good Ols!” you rubbed his head of hair and then turned to Felix’s, “What about you Fix?”
“I drew daddy as the best.” He pointed to a trophy that the figure - more like a stick-man-slenderman - was holding, which was decorated with the award of ‘my hero’.
“I told him to write hero, mummy.” Oli added, and you smiled at both of them.
“Well done. Good job both of you. Daddy will love these!” You only wished that they would draw something for you. You hated to think that you were being petty, but honestly you just wanted to feel loved. “Shall I go cut up some apple for a snack, hey?” You asked, trying to feel useful.
“Daddy is making us smoothies!” Felix answered and you had to stand up, up and away from their heigh, so they didn’t catch the tears in your eyes.
“Okay! Don’t forget to give him those pictures - he’ll love those.” You praised them and they both giggled to each other.
The sight of your sons laughing should’ve made you so happy, but it only reminded you that you weren’t the source of their happiness. You weren’t on their mind enough to be their inspiration for drawings. You definitely weren’t their hero. You were just a woman to them, not a mum. You wanted to be so much more but it was clear that they didn’t need you. They were loved by their dad and each other, not in need of your heart.
Eventually Belle settled down and was sleeping better through the night, leaving you and Harry to much more peaceful nights sleep. Well, just Harry.
You had found it near impossible to get to sleep now. You lay awake at night wondering when Belle would next wake up, wondering when she’d next need you. Harry was always quick out of bed though, even if he actually was sleeping, to help her ordering you to stay in bed and rest yourself. You couldn’t help feel like he was telling you to stay put because he knew you wouldn’t be able to do your job properly - and you started to believe him.
You’d found yourself getting jealous of those that could get to sleep. When you were walking down the road you’d judge a person by how much sleep they looked like they got last night. You definitely looked like you only had 2 hours - even when you’d only had 37 minutes but who’s counting? Your dark circles were heavily noticeable, but no one cared enough to ask. Even Harry stayed clear of you more and more often; spending more time with the kids than you and sleeping on his side of the bed instead of yours at nighttime.
There had been one evening where you had been so restless that Harry had gotten so frustrated and left the room, with a blanket and a pillow, and slept on the couch. You’d never felt so much like a burden than that night. Your family was rejecting you and you felt like a failure. You were a success at failing in everything. The meals you cooked went half eaten by everyone because you would’ve forgotten to add a key ingredient. The children preferred to spend more time playing with their dad because you weren’t energised enough to play the games they wanted to. Your daughter still rejected your milk. It was all too much and you just wanted one nights peace for it to change.
Last night had been that night.
Fuck these were so addicting. You were finally getting the sleep that you so badly craved, only with the help of tablets.
You wanted the sleep because that was the one place you could escape to. You needed that escape to help you get out of bed the next morning. Life was too hard for you to not dream, and without dreaming you didn’t want life.
It started off with taking one every night before bed, but then they stopped working again, so you started taking two, then three. Four was obviously where your body hit its limit.
“Mummy? Can you come tuck me in please?” Oli asked, little toy giraffe in hand and shaking you in hopes of waking you up to send him peacefully off to sleep.
You’d gone to bed a bit earlier tonight, lying saying that you were extremely exhausted. Harry said he would be able to handle things and that’s when you excitedly ran upstairs to take your pills; 4 of them. You’d made it into your bed, feeling slightly drowsy after completing your nighttime routine, but then you started to feel unwell and really ill. Before you’d passed out you’d stuck your fingers down your throat in hopes to make the feeling in your stomach disappear, but it ended up you throwing up all over the bed and pass out right there.
“Mummy! Wake up!” Oli rattled your back, but you were still unresponsive.
Oli padded out of the room and down to his sisters room where he knew his dad was. Belle was being extra fussy this evening and Harry suspected it had everything to do with you retiring early. He heard Oli come into the room just as he’d gotten Belle down.
“Y’alright buddy?” Harry whispered, tip-toeing out of Belle’s room, leaving the door open slightly, and crouched down in front of him.
“No. Mummy’s not waking up.” Oli pouted, rubbing a tired fist over his eye.
“She’s probably in dreamland, bud. She was really tired today.”
“She’s really tired all of the times.”
“I know, Ol.” Because Harry did know, but he was too much of a coward to face up to the problem. The doctors had said that post natal depression can strengthen with every birthed child, but he was too blind sighted by the fact that you’d overcome the first birthed post natal depression so quickly, and was so in love with his baby girl, that he didn’t truly see how bad things had gotten. Harry had tried giving you some space, distancing himself from you in bed and spending more time with the kids so you could relax and rest up, but nothing seemed to be working. He was surprised, actually, that you’d been having better sleep recently and so was hopeful that maybe the worst of the depression was over.
Hell, was he so wrong.
“Go to bed, bud okay? I’ll be there in a minute.”
“Wake mummy up so she can give me a kiss.”
“I’ll try little man, alright?” Harry scuffed his sons hair and then watched him walk off to his room.
Harry walked into your dark room, the air smelling slightly sour, and walked around to your side of the bed. He sat down next to you sighed heavily. He needed to speak to you, no matter how tired or angry you’d be with him. He was losing you as a wife and a mother and a soulmate and a lover. He was just losing you, just as you were losing yourself and he was doing tip-toeing around the problem any longer. He was going to try and make this better. He was going to better understand how you were feeling in order to help you.
“Baby?” He spoke softly, nudging you gently, “Baby wake up.” No response. “Y/N, my love? Wake up for me darling, need to speak with you.” Normally you would’ve stirred by now but there was still nothing. “Y/N?” Harry shook you a bit more urgently now - one that would surely wake even the deepest of sleepers. “Y/N!” He shouted, perhaps a bit too loudly for the comfort of his children.
He turned you over and that’s when he knew this was very, very, bad.
Your face was pale grey and your mouth was covered in the remains of vomit, and he suddenly understood the gross sour smell from before. Your hair was greasy and stuck all in the wet sick all over your face. Your eyes were puffy from the remains of tears. You looked dead.
“No, no, no. Y/N! No you don’t.” Harry’s eyes starting weeping and he couldn’t think straight. He checked your pulse on your wrist and timed it - it was unhealthily faint. He wouldn’t be surprised if you were in your last beats of your heart. His tears and sobs were uncontrollable, but he had to be both strong for you and his children, as well as for him. “Fuck sake pull yourself together Harry. Okay, baby hold on please. Okay? You don’t get to leave me like this, you hear me? I love you so much, baby. Fuck i’m so sorry.” He gently placed your head back down on the pillow and pulled out his phone.
999
“What’s your emergency?”
“I need a-an ambulance p-please. I-I think my wife i-is dying.”
The rest of it was a blur for Harry. Him trying to wake you up. The ambulance arriving. Oli and Felix crying when they saw you being carried away on a stretcher. Belle’s deafening screams. Harry’s heart beating for the both of you.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
It was the rhythmic beeping sounds that woke you up.
Your whole body felt achey and sore, your head a pounding mess. You opened your eyes slowly, adjusting them to the light of the room. You expected to see the family photo on the wall opposite you and the white of your curtains, but you were met with a heart-monitor machine and a hospital bed instead. You looked down at your body and noticed a cannula in your arm, making you squirm because you hated stuff like that so much. Your nose had a tube running inside it too, feeding you the oxygen your lungs weren’t receiving properly.
It then dawned on you how you weren’t in the room alone. You saw a sleeping Anne and Gemma on the chairs in the far corner, with Felix and Oli tucked against their sides - Anne with Oli and Felix with Gemma. It was so cute to see them so cuddled up close. They looked peaceful. You took note of the baby pram that was at the end of your bed, most likely playing bed to your beautiful daughter. Your mind felt lost. You can’t really remember what had happened, apart from taking four of those sleeping pills. You fully remember the weight of feeling worthless and useless as both a mum and a wife, though, and that feeling was still very prominent.
Your eyes lastly landed to the side of you, where Harry was sat but also laid on your bed. The top of half of his body laid upon the bed, his head buried onto this arm deep within the bed, whilst his bottom stayed rooted to the chair. His hand was holding yours tightly, which was a sign that he wasn’t asleep. You were so scared to face him though. You had failed him, again and again and you weren’t sure whether you could be enough for him anymore. Enough for your family anymore.
You squeezed his hand three times saying ‘I love you.’
“Y/N,” He whispered so hoarsely, but you were so focused on him to even catch it. He looked ruined, and you’d done that to him. His eyes were dark and tired, but also red and puffy from where he’d been crying. His hair was a mess and you could tell it hadn’t been washed in a while. How long had you been out for? You felt rested in your sleep, but not in your mind or your heart.
“I—” Your breathe got caught in your throat, but you persevered to finish your words. He deserved to here them. “I’m sorry.” You were whispering so you didn’t disturb anyone else in the room.
“No, stop it. I’m sorry baby.”
“Harry don’t, you don’t have anyt—”
“Stop yes I do I—”
“Harry please you don’t owe—”
“Y/N listen!” He cut the little volley-conversation and ordered you to just stop. You started crying when you saw that he was too. “Whatever you’re going to say, don’t. Whatever you’re thinking, stop it right now. Because I love you. Fuck, I do. I love you so much that when I found you unconscious in a pile of your own sick thinking you were dead, my only thought was that I wished it were me instead”.
“Harry, you don’t mean—”
“My god Y/N! You don’t get it, do you? I would do anything to switch places with you right now. I would suffer a thousand times over if it meant you were okay. I’d suffer in hell for you. Nobody else but you has ever made me feel like this. I married you because I love you and I want to wake up next to you every day of my beating hearts life. I chose to have children with you, because I knew how great of a mum you’d be and what beautiful people you’d help bring up into the world—”
“But i’m not.” You cut Harry short, trying to pull your hand away from him but he didn’t let you - only tightening his grip and pulling himself closer towards you. He was so close you could kiss him.
“Not what?” He asked, although he already knew the answer. You’d both had this conversation before, but you were both tired of it and were ready for it to be your last now.
“A good mum. I’m- i’m not a good mum or wife, Harry and i’m sorry.”
“I told you not say it and stop thinking it, because you’re completely wrong Y/N. You’re a good mother and a good wife, because you are a good person.”
“But i’m not great.” You whimpered, thinking back to the drawings your Oli and Felix had done. “I’m not the best.”
“But you don’t have to be, baby. You see our beautiful, healthy, happy and safe babies over there?” Harry turned to look at them, love in his eyes as in yours. “They wouldn’t be all those things, no matter how you feel about yourself, without you. I could never have brought them up to be half the people they are without you by my side, the way you make me a better person. You claim you don’t got this, but baby you’re already doing it and have been doing it for 5 years with our children and so much longer with me.”
“I’m just so fucked up Harry.” Your head tilted back on the pillow as you got heavily emotional over the situation.
Harry shook his head and moved his hand to cup the back of your neck, moving your head forwards until it met his. The touch of his skin against yours, no matter where and how small, made you feel alive and you’d missed him and that feeling so much. You missed loving him so much.
“Listen to me.” He ordered, keeping you still. “You are strong and you are brave Y/N Styles. No matter what you tell yourself I will be here every goddamn day of my life, if I have to, to remind you that you are worth more than your fucking weight in gold. You are my heart. You are my soul and the mother to my greatest achievements. I know they are yours too, just as I know I am your heart.
“You are.” You whispered so quietly under your breathe, but Harrys heart warmed when he caught you saying it. He knew though.
“Just let me love you. Let me be there for you. If you want medication then let’s do it, and i’ll be there for every step of the way. If you want to go to a rehabilitation centre for a bit, that’s okay we can—”
You shook your head and licked the tears away from your face. You were both such tearful messes, but the love between you was undeniable. “No, no please, no.”
“Okay, okay, love. We won’t. See, you’re okay. I promise, you’re okay. Stay with me, yeah? I’ll love you and keep you safe, just as you will me.”
“Promise.” You told him sincerely. He brought his lips to yours with that single word. He was so proud of your for being so brave and strong. He wishes he was half the person you were. His lips conveyed those thoughts of his and you could taste the love and passion burning through his heart and out on to his lips. He tasted like home. z he was home. Your lips smacked together messily, but you didn’t care because you loved each other too much and had kissed each other even more. Once you pulled back he stayed close to you, smiling at you with such awe. “I think.. I think I want to try medication please.”
Harry didn’t say ‘okay’ or ‘sure thing’, no. He said four words that meant more to you in that moment that any others in the universe. More than saying ‘I love you.’ Words that reminded you that not everything is okay and that sucks really bad, but you’re doing your best to get through it. It was a reminder that you had so many people who loved you and cared for you. It was a gun at the starting line symbolising that the journey ahead wasn’t going to be easy, but worth it.
“I’m proud of you.”

I have a really angsty request thats gonna hurt 😭 poly!Mikaelsons before they are dating, where their friendship started because they were trying to use the reader for something (maybe the stakes idk that part is up to you) but through the whole thing they started to actually fall in love, but the reader finds out they were using her (before them confessing their feelings) maybe end it in fluff and them finally confessing (ik I said fluff but if you think fluff doesn’t fit then u can change it)
Yooo we gonna be sad gals
Warnings: Angst, fluff at the end, protective Mikaelsons
Y/N felt like she was in a dream as she didn't know want she did to deserve four beautiful beings like the Mikaelsons to love her. Y/N had it rough as her adoptive father was asshole and her adoptive mother was verbally abusive, her friends was more worried about Elena than her. So to have not only one but four people to want her and that was way out of her league.
But want Y/N didn't know was that the Mikaelsons was using her to get all of the white oak until they found themselves falling hard for the girl. And it all came to light after a fight she had with Elena about her going to tell them how she felt for them.
"They are just using you! They don't really love you as they just wanted the white oak. No ones would want a fat useless wolf girl like you." Elena's words had cut the girl as she went and confronted them to find that Elena was right as she saw the white oak in the fire place.
"Baby.....it was all before.."
"Don't....I get it now." Y/N said tears falling from her eyes leaving not seeing the heartbreak on the siblings faces. Since that day Y/N had left town no one knew where she went as the siblings searched for her. The Mikaelsons had fell for the wolf while it had started to use her but they fell and fell hard as loving the wolf came to them easily but now she was gone and they wanted her back.
"Here is one black coffee Marcel." Y/N said with a cheery smile as the vampire smiled at her. Y/N had gone to New Orleans to get away from everyone back in Mystic Falls lucky she saved up money. When she first got to the city she met Marcel when he saved her from being bitten by a vampire and he looked after her.
"Thanks sweetheart. How are you? Diego said someone is bothering you."
"It...is fine. No need to do anything." Y/N said while Marcel was aware that Y/N was a werewolf. It was a surprise to him just how soft and gentle she was for a wolf never causing trouble and always turning far from town.
"Listen babygirl. If there is someone bothering my favorite wolf I want to know." Marcel said watching the young woman bite her bottom lip before sitting down.
"A few of the witches have been following me."
"I'll look into it babygirl don't worry." Marcel said getting up pressing a kiss on her head leaving the shop. Y/N finished up her shift seeing Thierry standing just outside making her worry and the vampire saw the worry on her face.
"The Originals are in town and Marcel doesn't trust them so I'm here to walk you home." Thierry said when Y/N frowned as it was a blur when Thrierry's neck was snapped and Elijah was standing in front of her.
"Really Niklaus?"
"We don't need him tell Marcel that we are talking to our little wolf." Klaus said as Y/N glared pushing past them both. Both men was quick to catch up to her and Klaus smirked.
"Here I thought you would be happy to see us."
"Well you are sorely mistaken." Y/N said rather coldly which surprised both of them. After leaving Mystic Falls Y/N cried over them then her sadness turned to anger that never went away.
"Listen what happened in......."
"Save it Elijah. I get it you four didn't really like me and was just using me to get the white oak."
"But we really....."
"What care? Yeah right, sorry if I don't believe you." Y/N said walking off and they both let her walk off and decided to watch over her from a distance. Two months of the four trying to get Y/N to forgive and to be with them while Marcel learned why the witches were following Y/N around.
"Pregnant? The witches think I am pregnant with Klaus's child?" Y/N said when Marcel had came into the coffee shop as she was happy that it was a slow day while Rebekah and Kol listened from a back table.
"That they do. So maybe find out if you are....I wasn't aware you two are......"
"We aren't. And if I am he won't be seeing my child." Y/N said coldly as Marcel watched her walk off wondering just what the Mikaelsons done to his little wolf. Y/N went to her doctor learning she was pregnant then made plans to not let the Mikaelsons know about the pregnancy.
"What do you two want?" Marcel asked seeing Elijah and Klaus walk into the Abattoir in a blur Klaus held him by his thoat holding him against a wall.
"Our little wolf where is she?"
"I have no idea where Hayley is....or did you mean Y/N? Here I thought that other wolf seen around you was your object of affection."
"Marcellus, tell us." Elijah said lowly when they heard her foot steps and they looked smiling as she glared.
"Wow not surprising that you both were going to hurt Mar to get your way." Y/N said ignoring how they both shamelessly raked their eyes over their love.
"Hey baby girl. Need something?" Marcel asked ignoring how both Originals glared at him as Y/N sighed.
"The witches are right."
"Oh....want to talk about it?" Marcel asked while Elijah and Klaus glared harder then stopped hearing a second heartbeat from Y/N.
"No. I'll let you finish up with them."
"Y/N is pregnant?!" Rebekah said surprised as Kol was equally upset like Elijah and Klaus that the idea their girl carrying another's child.
"From what I learned. Y/N is carrying Niklaus's child as the witches thought Hayley was the mother." Elijah said making them freeze and knew they needed to get Y/N under their protection.
"You are looking beautiful."
"What do you want Kol?" Y/N questioned glaring him as she worked cleaning off tables as Kol smiled.
"For you to forgive us as you are carrying Nik's baby. Let us protect you."
"No. I loved you four and you used me! And Klaus will never see my child!" Y/N said finishing up work leaving as Kol frowned before calling Rebekah.
"So you and Elijah?"
"I don't care Hayley. If you want to date the ass go ahead." Y/N tells the other wolf as Hayley smiled while Y/N looked at the book that Hayley brought her.
"This is a family tree. Most Alpha of a wolf pack has as one, this one is of the Crescent wolf pack."
"You know of the pack?" Hayley asked looking at the pregnant wolf.
"Yeah, it was my birth pack before given up for adoption." Y/N said pulling up her sleeve showing Hayley the Crescent mark on her wrist before continuing to telling Hayley about the wolf pack.
"Hayley seems to like you brother."
"I am aware Niklaus but much like you my heart belongs to Y/N." Elijah says as both were with Rebekah sitting in the coffee shop watching Y/N work and saw that she began to show a bit.
This went on for a month before Marcel got tired of it and had Davina trap Y/N with the siblings in the Abattoir to hash out their problems. So now Y/N sat pissed off arms crossed ignoring the Mikaelsons as Rebekah chewed on her bottom lip inching to touch Y/N's baby bump.
"Listen love yes at first we were using you. But we fell for you." Klaus said as Elijah stepped forward kneeling in front of Y/N getting her attention. Y/N saw the look of adoration and devotion in their eyes for her and it made her heart skip a beat.
"Baby, we fell for you and fell hard. And we were going to tell you the truth."
"Darling, we were heartbroken when you left and followed Hayley here to find you."
"Sweetheart, we are truly sorry and we understand if you don't forgive us but please don't take the child from us." Rebekah said sitting next to Y/N as the wolf looked at them seeing no lies but hurt broken vampires that loved a woman that they felt truly guilty for hurting.
"I forgive you. I missed you all." Y/N said tears falling down her cheeks as all four hugged her cuddling her. Y/N flushed burying her face in Kol's neck feeling them pressing closer as if to hide her away from the world promising to protect her from everything.

Tumblr media
“Jane Cavanaugh?” Y/n whispered under her breath in complete shock, not taking her eyes off the paper as Tom walked back and forth around the office.
“This can’t be right.. There were never records of him being married.” he muttered as he ran his hand through his hair. She sat there in complete shock, not even sure if she was breathing. Suddenly she felt Tom’s hands turn the desk chair and grab her face trying to break her out of her trance. His voice sounded mumbled as her thoughts ran over her.
“Love? Look at me…. look at me!” Tom shouted as his wife’s eyes drifted from his chest to his eyes.
“That’s why she mentioned her husband. Tom, she thinks we killed him…”
“Darling, calm down okay?”
“She came into our house, she knows where we live, Tom. She… she came here.. She has access to everything of ours right now. What the fuck are we gonna do?” Y/n rambled as she stared into Tom’s eyes in desperation.
“It’s gonna be okay. I won't let her take over.” he said as his thumbs rubbed her cheeks softly. She placed her head on his chest, wiping her tears on his shirt making him move a hand to the back of her head, pulling her closer.
“I didn’t want to do this but.. I have to call my dad.” and that’s what she did after walking out of that office. Y/n needed to speak to her father, do the fact that she recognized Jane’s maiden name. Her dad must know her or have something on her. The phone rang about 4 times before someone answered.
‘Hello?’ a soft voice answered, making Y/n wonder if she had dialed the right number.
‘Mom?’
‘Y/n? Honey, why are you calling?’
‘Well, I’m great mom. How are you?’ she said as she rolled her eyes to her mother’s behavior.
‘Real funny but why are you calling? Do you need money?’
‘No, I don't need money, mom. I need to speak to dad.. immediately.’
‘Oh, of course you call right before the funeral.’ Y/n’s face turned pale as her breath got caught at her throat.
‘Funeral? Wh-what happened?’ her mother’s voice sounded muffled as she heard the explanation of her father’s death. Y/n’s father was the perfect man until she was old enough to start her own mob when she sold her off to the Holland family. She had already met and fell for Tom before she knew about the arrangement. Apparently, he felt threatened by his daughter’s business abilities so he felt the need to get her out of his way.
After some time Y/n had enough and hung up the phone, cutting her mother off. He was poisoned. The funeral was the next day, she wasn't invited but she was going to show up anyway. Y/n is the only heir to the business and fortune, of course she was going for a last hurrah. She walked out of her office with a pissed off expression and walked into Tom’s office to see Harrison and William there too.
“I need to talk to your lawyer, right now.”
“Why? What happened?” Tom asked, standing up and walking towards his wife who was fuming in anger.
“My father is dead, his funeral is tomorrow. I know my mother, she’ll try and steal everything… I’m the rightful heir, I need that lawyer. Now.” Y/n said with teary eyes, receiving pity looks from Harrison and William who just stood there.
“I’ll give him a call and see if he can come over. Alright?” he asked, putting his hands on her cheeks.
“It’s gonna be alright, darling.” Y/n nodded and looked to the ground as she took a deep breath to calm down.
“Thank you.” she muttered under her breath as Tom pulled her into a hug.
A few hours went by and she was in her husband’s office as he continued to make calls. Y/n doubted any lawyers would just go to their house last minute but she needed the lawyer. As you spoke to William and Harrison someone knocked at the door making the room go silent. William walked over there and opened the door to reveal a well suited man with a briefcase.
“Michael, thank you so much for coming on such short notice.” Tom said, shaking the man’s hand.
“It’s no problem. I’m always here to help. What’s up?”
“Well, it's not me. It's my wife. Darling? Come here.” he said, stretching out his hand towards you as you mumbled a ‘excuse me’ to Harrison and walked towards the mob boss.
“Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you. Thank you so much for coming.” Y/n said as she shook his hand and gave him a kind smile.
“Pleasure. What seems to be the problem, ma’am?”
“I have a family issue…” and she continued to explain everything that was going on between her and her parents. The rest of the day was spent rummaging through files, making calls, faxing papers, everything that could help Y/n get what she deserved. Turns out her father did make a will and by the looks of it it was the only one.
The next day came around, rain drops ran down the bedroom mirror as Y/n stood by it while drinking a cup of coffee. Suddenly, a pair of arms circled around her waist pulling her towards a broad chest. She took a deep breath as she closed her eyes, feeling comfort and peace.
“Are you ready for today?” Tom mumbled against her shoulder before giving her a soft peck.
“Not really but.. It has to be done. I’m just thankful you’re gonna be there with me.” Y/n said as she turned in his arms to look up at him.
“I’ll always be here for you.” he smiled as he leaned in and kissed her lips slowly. They began getting ready, both wearing black of course. After a few hours Dylan came around with the car, opening the door for the mob wife to get in followed by her husband. The Holland’s finally arrived and immediately started turning heads since no one expected them to go.
“Why are you here?” her mother asked, making everyone turn their heads to look at the interaction.
“You invited me, remember? And I came to collect what’s rightfully mine.” Y/n smiled wickedly as she pulled out papers from her purse. She handed her the papers and continued walking to her father’s casket to say her last goodbye.
“I know you would’ve hated this but I became what you feared most… You.” she whispered before kissing her fingertips and placing them on the casket.
“What the hell is this, Y/n?” her mother shouted, making the mob wife turn and chuckle dryly.
“It’s my father’s first and only will. Which says that everything goes to his heir, aka me.”
“Wh-what? This can’t be happening.”
“Oh well it is. You have till the end of the week to leave and I really really hope you don’t make this difficult.” and with that Y/n grabbed her husband’s hand, walking to the car.
“Why are you doing this?” her mother shouted as Y/n stood by the car door ready to climb in.
“This is what you get for not protecting me.. when you knew what they were gonna do to me… for selling me to a mob boss. Everything that happens now is what you deserve, dad got out of it rather quickly but you? You’ll see.” She smiled and lowered her sunglasses before climbing into the car and driving back to her office.
“I want her car towed, right now.” she ordered as she stared at her phone while William made the call for the tow truck.
“Where do you want it to be taken?”
“Home.” William nodded and told the person on the phone. Once at her office she climbed out and walked to the door but immediately stopped when Tom called her when he lowered the window.
“You want me to stay with you?” she smiled and walked towards the car to give him a sweet kiss.
“You don’t have to stay, I’m okay. Just call me when you get home, okay?” Tom nodded, giving her one last peck and stared at her as she walked into her building. He closed the window and turned his head to William.
“You know what to do.” the man nodded and got out of the car to go protect her boss as a horrible mob war was being planned. Tom didn’t know when it was gonna happen but he knew the business. And after that funeral, a war was deemed to happen.
