Hi lovely! Can I have wolfstar (or either of the two boys, it’s up to you) with reader who is just not having the best time, but doesn’t like being comforted/taken care of (even though she rlly needs it once in a while) because she doesn’t like the feeling of not being totally independent if that makes sense-? Like, she feels if she gets help then that means she can’t manage stuff on her own, and she wants to be able to manage stuff on her own. But at the same time she needs comfort rn yk?
I swear the way you write wolfstar has me kicking my feet every time. I fucking love your writing! Bye bye and thank you 👋
Thank you for your request lovely! I adore them <3
poly!wolfstar x fem!reader ♡ 1k words
Coming home and taking off your coat doesn’t hold the same relief as it used to lately. The weight of the day stays with you, coiled up around your ribcage like a snake that squeezes incrementally tighter every time you think of it. Still, it’s nice to come home to the smell of basil and the sound of Remus’ music playing from the kitchen.
You set your bag down, going to find your boyfriends but spotting a plate of brownies on the table. You slow looking at it, and Sirius meets you halfway. He kisses you hello and wraps you up in a hug.
“I’m so happy you’re home,” he murmurs conspiratorially. “Remus’ knee is hurting him, but he won’t say and he won’t get out of the kitchen. I need you to divert him.” You hum your assent, and he chuckles at your distraction, kissing beside your ear. “How was your day, beautiful?”
“Fine,” you say. “Are those brownies?”
“Yeah, Rem made them. The kind with the dark chocolate you like. Now, a real answer, please. How was your day?”
“Oh, it was…it was okay.”
Your voice sounds hesitant and melancholy even to your own ears. Sirius coos, hugging you tighter. He strokes up and down your spine, encouraging you to relax into him. “M’sorry, lovebug.”
You shrug him off when he starts to sway you gently, shoving down on the emotion that rises in your throat.
“Don’t be sorry,” you say, offering him a little smile. “It was fine.”
Still, Sirius looks sad. “Okay,” he says. “Why don’t you go put on something more comfortable, and I’ll make sure our lovely boy is ready for you when you come back.”
You huff a laugh. “Is that code?”
He grins wickedly. “It is if you want it to be, gorgeous. Go on.” He turns you by the shoulders towards your bedroom, giving you a pat to your bum. “Go. Remus,” he calls towards the kitchen, “our angel just told me she really wants a cuddle from you. Sounds like you should join her on the couch.”
It surprises you when Remus actually is waiting for you when you get back. He’s stretching his knee out, foot propped on the coffee table, but he smiles when he sees you.
“Hi,” you say, your own lips tilting as you sit beside him. “Did you make me brownies?”
“Well, I’d like to have at least one.” He takes your face in hand, kissing you with a grin on his lips. “But they’re mostly for you, yeah.”
“That was sweet of you.” You take his hand in yours. The pads of your fingers rove the lines of his palm. “Thank you, you didn’t have to.”
“I wanted to,” he says simply. His gaze is warm as he watches you, so knowing you have to look away.
“Did you leave Sirius in the kitchen?” He nods. “What’s he making?”
“Pasta for dinner. It’s nearly done.”
“I should help.” You start to get up, but Remus holds onto your hand.
“He’s got it, sweetheart. I wouldn’t normally trust him in the kitchen, but even Sirius can boil water.”
“I know, but—” You extricate your hand from his gently, making it up with a smile. “—you’ve been doing stuff in there all day. It’s my turn to help.”
Remus calls after you. Sirius must hear, because he apprehends you as soon as you enter the kitchen, keeping you from going further.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“Stop,” you laugh, pushing against his hands. “I want to help.”
“No one has any faith in me,” Sirius complains. “Remus has already done the hard work of chopping the basil and everything. I’m perfectly capable of boiling water.”
“That’s what I told her,” Remus defends himself from the living room.
You look behind Sirius for something that needs doing, but the collection of prepared ingredients gives you pause. You know this recipe. It’s your favorite pasta, your comfort food.
“Why am I cursed with beautiful, stubborn partners who won’t have a rest when they need one?” Sirius laments. Now that you’ve stopped resisting, he’s able to bully you out of the kitchen, back towards the living room.
“My knee doesn’t hurt,” you argue.
He levels you with a look. “No. But that’s not the only thing that could cause someone to need a rest, is it?”
You frown at him. The snake in your ribcage gives a malicious squeeze. “I’m fine. I don’t need to be coddled.”
Sirius’ expression softens. “Sweetheart…”
“No one is coddling you, lovely,” says Remus. “You’re going through a lot right now, and maybe you are fine, but it’s okay if you’re not, isn’t it?” He gives you a significant look. You press your lips together. “Either way, we only want to make things easier for you.”
“I appreciate it,” you say, voice growing softer, “but I don’t need you to. I can manage it myself.”
“Hey, who said you couldn’t?” Sirius asks. His eyebrows are bunched together, imploring. “You are managing it, gorgeous, and you’re doing a killer job. Really, it’s impressive, but we—”
“We can still be there for you at the same time,” Remus finishes.
You waver. Some of the playfulness comes back to Sirius’ expression. He cocks a brow at you.
“So,” he drawls, “if you can handle all that by your lonesome, I don’t want to hear any more complaints about me boiling water without supervision. Got it?”
You crack a grin. He mirrors it, giving you a shove so that you fall back onto the couch.
“Good,” he says, turning around and starting back for the kitchen. “Take a rest, you freaks. Let me handle dinner for once.”
“There’s a reason that doesn’t happen often,” Remus murmurs, drawing you into his side. He presses a kiss, soft and warm, to the bridge of your nose. “Are you going to be okay if your favorite pasta is al dente, lovely?”
You laugh quietly, and he smiles for hearing it. “Yeah, I think I’ll live.”
“Good. Because I’m afraid it’s all but guaranteed.”

Too Far.
Summary: He's like a wounded animal when he's angry, lashing out when he feels cornered. He's gone too far this time, snapped and said something he definitely didn't mean, so now he has to fix it.
Pairing: Daryl Dixon x Reader (No use of Y/N)
TW: Fighting. Daryl is a dick, but not really, but also he is. Apologetic!Daryl. Alexandria Era. Sex.
A/N: Inspired by an excellent post by @love-norman which I'll link in the comments. I wasn't sure if you were okay with smut, so there's a fairly brief mention of sex but nothing overly explicit.
-
He’s a surprisingly effective communicator, once she can convince him to talk more and with enough time to work out exactly what ticks and grunts mean what. Daryl Dixon’s entire bag is self-sacrifice, so if he can assume that she needs him to tell her what’s going on in the always too busy head of his, he can do that for her without much care for how it impacts him. It’s not his most healthy coping mechanism but it certainly isn’t his worst and the reward? Oh, the reward is sweet. The reward is comfort and kindness and being held; being loved. What’s a moment of discomfort for a lifetime of her?
He's had to practice letting his walls down, slowly but surely since he met her, all the while failing to realise she was just digging her way underneath them. She didn’t ever pry, not really, not in any way that felt invasive, but she’d patiently wait him out; ask the question quietly, softly, and let him linger in the comfortable silence until he chose to answer back. Sometimes she’d work out the information without his need to speak at all; it happened the moment he realised he was fucked, that he was absolutely, irrefutably hers. She’d worked out exactly who he was as a person and he’d barely sad a word.
He’s attentive, and whilst that shocks him it comes as no surprise to anyone around him. He has spent his life fearing that he is exactly who he feared, but those who are lucky enough to consider themselves, correctly or not, close to Daryl never fear for much but his wellbeing. That he is a careful, thoughtful and tender partner surprises nobody but him. That’s not to say they don’t argue, the end of the world comes with its own set of tensions even without the usual relationship concerns, but he’s learnt not to bite first.
-
He shouldn’t have drunk anything, in hindsight, they’re both in bad shape, overwrought and under-fed and they shouldn’t have been at a fucking party, of all places. He definitely shouldn’t have had the four glasses of scotch Reg offered him on a mostly empty stomach. He can’t get used to the Alexandria walls, the houses he never could have afforded to breathe near let alone buy, the soft comforts he’d never had even before the end of the world. He’s never been to a party that hasn’t had a piss-stained couch or an overly full ashtray.
“You know that’s bullshit, Daryl, you’re being ridiculous!” She yells, firmly back in their own living room after he’d practically stormed out of Deanna’s. One minute they’re in full swing, standing talking about vacations from the old days with some new faces, the next his hand is dropping from around her waist and thudding from the front door like she’d said, ‘fuck off’ rather than the word ‘Canada’. He’d slammed the door behind them and snarled about how he would have embarrassed her and her fancy fucking vacations in ‘the real world’.
“Lil’ miss travel abroad and see th’ world cause she’s better than Daryl fuckin’ Dixon”
“What? That’s not-“
“I’m jus’ an idiot redneck with nothin’ an’ you’re this smart chick who saw the world, I get it, I ain’t dumb, th’ fuck would ya have wanted wit’ me?”
Her heart would shatter for him if she wasn’t seething quite so much, the sheer desperation in his words at odds with the tension in his body, clenched hands dragging through his finally clean hair. His eyes are stinging and he absolutely refuses to cry, has never gotten over thinking it makes him weak even when he feels weak.
“Daryl, what the fuck? Why are you being such an asshole?“
“Shut up, always yappin’ about stupid shit, fuckin’ hate ya sometimes!”
He turns quickly, wants to throw something, wants to scream, broad shoulders and harsh angles and all the wind leaves his body when he sees her flinch away from him. She’s cowers backwards, he feels like he’s going to be sick, body collapsing in on itself as he feels the anger leave his bones, replaced with ice laced panic. For a second, a horrifying second that feels ten times as long, he’s his old man. Shitfaced and angry with a glass in hand and if he had a mirror, he knows exactly whose face he’d see staring back at him.
“I would never hurt ya” he whispers, voice low and so broken, full of conviction as his breath hitches in the middle and crumbles at the end and she’d hug him if she wasn’t so shell shocked. Neither of them move for a beat, standing stock still as he trails his eyes over her, clocks the way her gaze refuses to lift to meet his. He can’t breathe. The room is too small for everything he’s feeling, like the walls are inching close and closer and the air is getting less. He tries to move like lightning but his whole body feels sluggish and slow as he inches past her and out the front door, flinching as it closes behind him and he wanders out into the street. He stares back at the house for a moment before deciding he needs a walk to clear his head.
When he comes back she’s sitting on the couch waiting for him, thumbs twiddling, head still down and worry eating her alive. He eases the door shut behind him, loud enough to tell her he’s home but soft enough to show he’s not mad. He wishes a door could convey remorse but it’s taken him long enough to be able to do it with words he doubts a block of wood would be able to in the timeframe he needs. He shucks off his boots, realising he shouldn’t have been wearing them in the house in the first place.
The fresh air has cooled his body enough that he feels less of the alcohol circulating around his system. He tries not to squeeze the flowers he’d plucked from the bush outside Aaron’s place as he stands with his back against the wood.
“’M sorry” he whispers before clearing his throat and repeating it at a higher volume. She turns her face towards him, looking at him over her shoulder. The anger is gone from her face, replaced with a dwelling worry that spikes at him, makes him replay his words over and over.
“What did I do?”
“Nothin’” he insists quickly, pauses before he realises he should say more, that she sometimes needs him to say more, they’ve talked about this “Ya didn’t, I promise”
“I’m sorry”
That does it, rips him from his safe haven by the door because he can’t stand the thought that she deserved anything he said to her, that she’d said anything wrong when he knows she hadn’t. Talking at a party, about stupid old-world stuff whilst her spare, wine glass free hand kept his back warm. She hadn’t said a damn thing wrong, and he’d scared her.
He strides over to the couch, coming round to kneel in front of her. He places the somewhat squashed flowers on the couch cushion next to her. He hovers a hand above her knee, placing it gently on the fabric of her dress when she doesn’t flinch away at the sight. He doesn’t want her to flinch ever again.
“Dun’ apologise to me when ya ain’t done nothin’ wrong”
“I’m so-“
“Dun’ ever apologise to me when i’s my fault. ‘S my shit an’ I shouldn’t take it out on ya”
She knows he loves her, has proven it time and time again, has put his body in front of hers in the face of almost certain death, would protect her with his last breath, would love her with it. But she knows she’ll never be able to unhear it, that some things you can’t take back, that she’ll always wonder, just a little bit if its true. Logic and love are very rarely intertwined.
“Okay”
He can still hear his fathers words ringing in his head, he knows, more than most, the power that words hold over people. He tries not to say anything he doesn’t mean, and he’ll admit he’s acerbic, pointed sure but never cruel, never unnecessarily unkind. He doesn’t know why tonight was different, but he takes her hands in his, locking his eyes on her so she understands.
“I dun’ get t’ speak t’ ya like that”
“No, you don’t” she agrees, voice firmer, back to her usual tone, the one he’s always loved going hand in hand with the certainty she can hold her own. She pauses, bringing his hands up to press a kiss to his knuckles, soothing because she’s terrified that after all this time, he’s still going to break them by thinking he’s not allowed to claim his hurt “You alright?”
He doesn’t answer, instead sitting back on his feet, raising a small hopeful smile at her.
“Tell me about th’ vacation”
“I don’t-“
“Please. Ya said ya still think ‘bout Canada all th’ time”
He really does want to know, he hadn’t been outside of Georgia before everything went down, and she’s mentioned travel but Canada hadn’t come up; he’s not sure if it was that, that set him off or that he felt inadequate in a room full of people with experiences he never got to have.
“I think it was my favourite trip. Packed a bag and went alone on a whim, found a lake in the forest with a little cabin. Just mountains and trees and lakes. It’s the most peaceful I’ve ever felt. I never wanted to mention it, I know you missed out on so much, but then everyone was talking and I-“
“Nah, go on, ‘S’alright”
“When Reg asked…I was going to say that’s what I picture, when I think of life outside of all of this, me and you in Canada”
“Ya think of that with me?” his voice is low, incredulous awe pulled tight at the edges, he was so busy feeling less than everyone else that he’d missed out on the fact she was thinking of him. She nods, smiling at him, working it out without him needing to say it, figuring out what drove him to snap without asking, under his walls and right in the centre of the internal world he’s built.
“We’d have a house, out near a lake with a wooden porch, and a dog, big scruffy one who likes to catch fish. We’d have coffee together overlooking the water in the morning. You’d work at the local garage, ‘cause you’re good with your hands and tools, wouldn’t have to deal with people all day, fix up all the bikes you’d secretly want...”
He’s staring her at in silence, watching her wistful face glow in the lamplight, he can barely breathe let alone find words knowing that she’s not just dreamt about a life with him, she’s thought it out in detail. He wants it, wants that life with her so badly it aches, thinks it’s the first time he’s wanted anything from life except to get through it.
“I’d work at the bar, play guitar at crappy open mic nights and you’d come for a beer after my shift to walk me home”
He hums, all the response he can manage, guilt chewing at him from the inside, clawing at his mind knowing that he’s taken his own problems out on her, told her he hates her all the while she’s dreaming of something so utterly fucking perfect.
“We’d make dinner together and dance in the living room, go camping at the weekends and make love all night long”
“In another life?” he chuckles, warm and full, knowing he’ll dream about this for the rest of his life.
“In every life…If you’d find me”
“I’d find ya”
-
He runs her a bubble bath, still amazed and confused that he can, that they’ve spent months on the road starving and struggling and here there’s a pantry that has bubble bath. The flowers from Aarons front garden are perched in a glass of water by the bed, the lamps turned off and the doors are locked up as tight as they can be. He’s insistent that he shows his apology, but he’s never had a way to do it outside these walls, nothing beyond words and affection and his experience with what women might like is limited at best.
He stands in the doorway, watching as she wraps herself in a dressing gown. He wonders idly if the amount of love he feels for her could kill him; he feels it so deeply in his bones that he physically isn’t sure it should be able to fit inside of one person. He feels it explode warmth around his body when she shuffles forward to rest her head on his chest.
“You know you don’t have to do all of this? I’m not mad”
Later, when he’s apologised again, reassured her and comforted her and she’s convinced him he’s worth loving in return, he takes them both to bed. Touches her with soft, repentant hands that have always been gentle, hands that are gentle exactly because he knows how dangerous they can be. Atonement seeping from every inch of him as he inches home inside of her, cherishes the contended sigh she lets out at the feel of him. He could never hate her, not even if he tried.
He stills when he bottoms out, rests his forehead against hers as her hips press against his firmly, dragging him as deep as he can go.
“Wha’ ya see in me, anyway?” he whispers against her lips, full of self-doubt.
She looks into him with an intensity that almost hurts, brings her hands to the sides of his face, makes sure he believes her as sincerely as she believes his apology.
“Everything”

Part One TwentyThree
This Chapter is NSFW
Steve blinks awake; something woke him, some movement. Eddie. Eddie’s half flopped across Steve’s back where Steve’s laid on his stomach. He’s kissing his way across Steve’s shoulders, “twen-ty two,” he whispers haltingly to himself, then another soft kiss, “twe-n-ty three.”
Steve stretches, his shoulders still aching from finishing the pool yesterday. Eddie had helped a little, mostly holding the hose and washing down the sides. Even with Jon as an extra pair of hands it had still taken hours. Steve shifts, dislodging Eddie a little, “what you doing baby?”
“Winning.”
Steve snorts a laugh, “how do you mean?”
“Eddidie try more kisses,” he kisses Steve again, “twen-ty four.”
Steve rolls over, “I didn’t realize giving kisses was a competition.”
Eddie darts forward, kissing Steve on the cheek this time, but Steve manages to grab him and get him back, making Eddie giggle, “Eddidie twen-ty five. Stee One.”
“Oh you come here you cheater, I’m gonna’ win.”
Steve sighs as he hangs up the phone. Keith is a prick, and he’s always going to be a prick, who even works at nine in the morning on New Years day? Steve is certain that the store actually closes for New Years day and Keith has invented that shift just to torture Steve.
And he’s on the close on New Years eve which just...sucks. He sighs again. At least that one is with Robin. It’s like he wants to punish both of them.
“Okay Stee love?”
“I’m okay, but I’ve got to go back to work in a couple of days.”
Eddie frowns, “Eddidie work?”
“I...yeah. Maybe. When you’re ready yeah?”
Eddie looks a little sad, but he agrees, “Stee work time calendar?” Eddie goes off and gets a pen before Steve answers, and then waits, watching as Steve writes the shift times he has so far in the boxes on Eddie’s calendar.
Eddie squints at it, “called am p-m?” He says A M like the word, ‘am,’ and Steve knows he really needs to get onto those books Eddie got for Christmas.
“A.M is in the morning, and P.M is the afternoon. The night time.”
“Nine morning, nine night time?” Eddie asks, pointing.
“You got it baby…what do you want to do today?”
Eddie perks up immediately, “drive car?”
“I...yeah. You know what, fuck it, what’s Hopper going to do, arrest us?”
“Fuck it!” Eddie crows back, a massive grin on his face.
“Huh...I don’t know if I should tell you off or not. It feels like I should but that also feels dumb.”
“Feels dumb. Called arrest?”
“Oh it’s…so if Hopper finds someone who does something bad, he locks them away to keep everyone else safe?”
“Someone who...hurts people?” Eddie volunteers cautiously while they get their shoes on.
“Yeah. Yeah like that. It keeps everyone else safe, yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Come on, get your jacket.”
The ruins of Starcourt are pretty comprehensively taped and fenced off...but half the lot isn’t. Eddie eyes the ruin speculatively, “Eddidie in before?”
“Yeah. Yeah, that’s where you were when I found you.”
Eddie frowns, leaning over to touch Steve’s face delicately, around his eyes, the bridge of his nose,“Stee hurt.”
“I was, but that was ages ago now. I’m fine.”
Eddie accepts that, so Steve sits and explains to him what all the parts of the car do, how to put it in drive, and back into park, and then lets Eddie do it from the passenger seat. Then puts the seat all the way back, letting Eddie lean over to watch his feet, he shows him how to go and how to stop. He doesn’t bother with stuff like indicators yet, not wanting to over complicate things.
Eddie seems alright with all of it, and Steve figures he does trust Eddie; Eddie does pick shit up really really fast.
They swap seats, “okay, so, what do we do first?” Eddie reaches for the key where it hangs in the ignition, “ah ah,” Steve chides. “What’s first?”
Eddie thinks for a second before sheepishly clicking his belt on; Steve does the same, “now?”
“Sure baby, you can go now.”
Eddie starts the car, grinning big as it starts up. Steve watches as Eddie does the brake and carefully puts it in drive, “good?”
“Yeah, go on then, carefully though. Slow.”
“Carefully, slow.”
And Eddie does, the car inches forward, then picks up a little speed. Eddie’s leaning all the way forward in his seat, chest practically pressed against the wheel, both hands studiously at ten and two. They're probably doing all of a brisk walking speed, maybe a jog, but Eddie’s got a massive happy grin on his face. “Okay, turn then,” Eddie does, making random loops across the lot and then back again. “Okay, stop.” Eddie does, carefully shifting his feet. It jolts a little when they come to a full stop, Eddie pressing too sharply.
“Sorry.”
“That’s okay, put her in park.” Eddie does, “okay, good, go on then, go again.”
Eddie does, and they do go a little faster, Eddie slowly gaining confidence.
They stop a few times, Steve explaining about the mirrors and then sets Eddie the challenge of parking the car up between the white lines in the empty spaces.
They go until Eddie’s stomach rumbles audibly, Steve completely having lost track of time, “okay, time to go home.”
Eddie nods agreeably, “home.”
They’re laid on the couch together, Eddie’s holding open one of the kids books he got for Christmas, sounding out the letters and making out the words. He never ceases to amaze Steve with just how fast he picks this stuff up.
Steve helps occasionally, but Eddie seems to be able to, mostly, intuit how the words should sound by working through the letters. He keeps digging Steve with his elbow though, when he shifts to itch his stomach, keeps wriggling around, and it only seems to be getting worse.
“What are you scratching at?” Eddie puts the book down, pulling his shirt up so they can both see; part of Eddie’s stomach looks like it’s peeling, like bad sunburn. It only seems to have been made worse by Eddie’s itching, the skin pink and lined.
Steve hums, “lets go put some cream on that.”
Investigation only revels more patches of dry flaking skin, randomly all over Eddie’s body. Steve was there when Eddie got dressed this morning, so he’s one hundred percent certain that these weren’t here then. The more he looks the more he finds, they’re up Eddie’s back, and under Eddie’s bobble hat looks like the worse case of dandruff Steve’s ever seen.
“I hope you’re not allergic to something.”
“Called allergic?”
“It’s- I. I don’t even know how to explain this,” Steve sighs, “sometimes people...something doesn’t agree with them?” Eddie tilts his head, scratching absently at his thigh, Steve gently pulls his hand away, “don’t itch it. Okay...for some people, just very few, laundry powder makes their skin itchy. For no reason, it just...happens. Or some food. Maybe just one person can’t eat nuts, it’ll make them hurt.”
Eddie frowns, but nods, using his free hand to scratch at his back, so Steve grabs that hand, too.
“We should call Joyce, she might know what to do with the itching.” The cream doesn’t seem to be helping, it’s just making Eddie itchy and greasy at the same time.
“Call Joyce yes.”
“Hello?”
“Oh, hey, Will. Is Joyce home?”
“Sure yeah, just a minute. Can we come over to the store tomorrow? Mike said Nancy said Robin said you’re going back to work tomorrow morning?”
And Steve can hear Mike in his head, ‘and Steve’s at least good for his stupid staff discount,’ “Yeah, yeah sure-”
“Cool so we can come watch stuff tomorrow afternoon?”
“I-yeah,” Steve looks at where Eddie is using a door frame to scratch between his shoulder blades, rubbing back and forth aggressively, “yeah, maybe.”
“Cool, okay, see you tomorrow!”
There’s a moment of quiet, and then, “hello?”
“Oh, hi, Joyce. It’s, uhm...Eddie’s kind of, itchy? Like he’s suddenly peeling all over? Do you know what we could do?”
“Oh...well when the boys had had chicken pox I put them in the bath with some baking soda, that helped?”
“Okay, okay yeah, I’ll give that a go, I just don’t know why this is happening.”
“It does kind of make sense, new born babies peel.”
“They do?” Steve asks, slightly horrified.
“Yeah, yeah, usually happens sort of within the first week, I think. What was his first poop like?”
“I-” Steve stalls for a second, this conversation having just taken a really weird turn, “I don’t know, hang on,” Steve pulls the phone away from his ear, “Eddie?”
Eddie comes over, “Joyce says the peeling is normal, we can go have a bath in a minute, it might make it better, okay?”
“Together?” Eddie asks, and Steve can hear Joyce snickering down the phone, clearly having heard it.
Steve just ignores that whole thing, “what was your first poop like?”
Eddie wrinkles his nose, “green. Sticky.”
Really? Steve thinks, green? Steve puts the phone back to his ear, “did you hear that?”
“Yeah, that makes sense Steve, it all tracks. He’s just like a newborn.”
That is...not appealing, Steve can’t help but think.
Eddie’s skin sloughs off like something out of a horror movie. Once lubricated by the warm water, made to feel slick with the baking soda, it comes away in great curling pieces. Eddie picks at himself with his claw like nails, Steve leaning over the edge and getting all the little flakes with a loofah. Steve gets to Eddie’s feet, and Eddie giggles and tries to drag his foot away when Steve gets to the arch, thrashing in surprise.
“You’re ticklish!” Steve tells him, delighted.
“Not,” Eddie insists, almost immediately.
“Alright, so you won’t mind if I-” Steve pins his ankle in the water, using his other hand to tickle Eddie’s foot.
Eddie thrashes, water going everywhere, “stop. No. Stee, Stee, stop,” he can barely get the words out he’s laughing and thrashing so much, but Steve takes mercy on him and doesn’t do it for long.
Eddie’s still laughing after, trying to catch his breath, wriggling his toes and watching in amazement. Once he’s settled down, he reaches into the water, bending a knee to reach and tickle his own foot, then frowning when nothing happens, “Stee? Not ticklish.”
“Oh,” Steve says the picture of innocence, “let me try?”
Eddie nods, watching, and then instantly fighting again, laughing, Steve’s clothes are wet with splashed water, “Stee Stee noooooo,” Eddie wails, but when Steve stops again he’s grinning, all flush and breathless.
“Ticklish,” Steve tells him.
“Stee ticklish?”
“Nope,” Steve lies confidently, there is no way in hell he’s giving Eddie that one.
“Why ticklish time Stee touch, not ticklish time Eddidie touch?”
“I...you know I don’t actually know why you can’t tickle yourself. Just one of those things, I guess,” he says, shrugging, “right I think you’re all done, most of it’s gone, right?”
“Most of it’s gone, right.”
Eddie’s still flaking the last tiny bits as he dries off, but it seems to be pretty much done; Eddie drops his towel in the hamper, and pouts when Steve makes him put his hat in there too, “it’s covered in skin, we can do laundry and you’ll have it back, okay?”
“Okay. Bed now?”
“It’s too early for bed-” Eddie comes and stands in front of Steve, completely naked, pressing himself forward, holding Steve’s hips, “ohhhhh...bed now. Sure, yep, we can do that.”
Eddie grins, peeling Steve’s damp shirt up, Steve lifting his arms to help. Eddie drops it carelessly on the floor, going next for Steve's pants, pulling everything down in one go and letting it drop so that Steve can step out of it and kick it away. Steve takes Eddie by the hips and walks him back towards the bed.
Eddie goes easily, shuffling his way back, Steve crawling on after him to climb between Eddie’s parted legs, keeping his weight off Eddie and on his forearms, leaning down for more hungry kisses.
Steve feels it when Eddie’s dick slips out, the head nuzzling against Steve’s pubic hair as Steve’s own cock starts to firm up, to fill out. Eddie’s dick isn’t as intimidating now Steve knows it can’t bite him, those little nobbles are too small to do anything, and even when it was holding on as tight as it could to Steve’s thumb, during Eddie’s orgasm, it didn’t hurt at all.
Steve reaches down to adjust himself, pulling his hardening cock up to lie against the crease of Eddie’s hip, rather than being trapped pointing down. Eddie’s cock follows Steve’s fingers immediately, and Steve stops a second to pet it, stroking along the length before he goes back to resting on both arms, leaning in for more kisses.
Eddie wraps his arms around Steve’s shoulders, parting his legs naturally to accommodate Steve as he settles in, Eddie drawing his knees up a little. The position is close enough that it makes Steve think...makes him remember a thought he'd had from the first time, “can we try something?”
“Eddidie try,” Eddie replies easily.
“Okay, but I need to make you come first, alright?” Eddie nods, clearly very happy with that plan.
Steve hums, thinking. Eddie’s never had sex with anyone else; Eddie is, also, a creature from The Upside Down. Eddie bit Steve’s toes off and it never got infected, and they’ve also kissed and touched a lot and Steve’s never gotten sick, never shown any sign of catching anything. There doesn’t seem to be any possibility that Eddie might be a...carrier, of some sort of disease but...on the balance of probability, Steve figures better safe than sorry. Steve’s been with plenty of girls, but he’s always used protection, so he’s pretty sure that he’s clean but...what if he isn't, and he inadvertently gives something to Eddie? Steve has no idea what Eddie’s immune system might be like and...yeah. Eddie definitely can’t make an informed choice around all this, at least, not yet. So.
He leans over, shifting off Eddie a little to rummage in the top drawer, his fingers fiddling in the box until he manages to pull out a condom.
He leaves the wrapper there on the bed, in easy reach.
“Called?”
“Oh, it’s a condom. I’ll show you what it’s for in a bit, okay?”
Eddie nods, accepting that, before pulling Steve down for more kisses. Soft and sweet, with just a hint of Eddie’s only slightly too sharp teeth. They kiss, Steve taking his time, just enjoying the feeling of Eddie holding him. Eddie’s hands are just as curious as his mind, left to their own devices they roam every bit of Steve they can reach, flowing the dip of his spine and the curve of his ass. Groping and kneading at his shoulders, the tops of his arms. Buried in his hair, scratching gently and tugging lightly. Steve drinks it all in; can feel how much Eddie loves him, how intent every touch is. Like Eddie’s memorizing him.
Like every inch of Steve is precious.
Likewise Eddie’s cock is wriggling back and forward between them, burrowing it's way through the narrow space, the head rubbing against Steve’s hip and then nuzzling into his pubes; he feels it when the head opens, the flower petals pressing against Steve’s skin before moving on. He feels it when Eddie’s cock finds the base of his own, it seems to wriggle around it, the head pressing against one side and withdrawing, only to creep along the other. The petals open, grasping at the hard flesh at the base of Steve’s dick. He moans, rutting against the crease of Eddie’s thigh, Eddie’s dick following the movement, hanging on in a gentle clutch at Steve’s flesh.
Eddie likes it too, if the huffing, breathy little sighs he’s letting out are anything to go by, so Steve doesn’t stop. He lifts enough to look down between their bodies, and Eddie does the same. The black flower petals are a stark contrast against the skin of Steve’s cock; they’ve latched to the side, near the base, and a thick drip of precome stretches a connection between the head of Steve’s cock and the skin of Eddie’s hip.
Eddie starts wriggling, hips lifting, “Stee. Please more? Eddidie come.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Steve lets his hips rest against the cradle of Eddie’s again, keeping his weight on his forearms he leans in for kisses that Eddie returns eagerly, matching the movements of Steve’s hips with an enthusiastic slide of his own, Steve’s cock slippery wet now with precome, “you close to coming baby?”
Eddie frowns, head tilted back, letting Steve kiss and nip at his throat, “yes no.”
“Okay,” and Steve can’t keep doing this for that much longer, otherwise he’s going to come and that’ll be the end of his idea, “want me to touch you?”
“Yes. Touch good.”
“Okay,” Steve pulls off completely then, letting himself tilt to the side. Eddie’s dick looks like it’s stretched to the absolute limit, clearly not wanting to let go of Steve. Steve reached down, distracting it with the touch of fingers; it goes eagerly. Once Eddie’s dick has let go, Steve rolls the rest of the way to lie on his hip, the same as last time, snugged up against Eddie’s side. He takes Eddie’s eager cock in hand more naturally this time, more sure of what he’s doing.
He kisses Eddie’s cheek, and Eddie turns into it. He’s clearly distracted, his kisses sloppier now, wetter, half the time his mouth hanging open as he pants and moans quietly, Steve’s thumb working circles across the open head of Eddie’s cock.
Eddie whimpers, “okay?”
Eddie shakes his head, frowning, “not-not coming.” He squirms, face crinkled up in frustration and, possibly, discomfort, so Steve stops but Eddie immediately says, “no. More touch,” so Steve starts up the gentle movements of his thumb. Eddie’s hips squirm more, his cock pulsing and twitching, almost bucking in Steve’s hand; he’s so close, Steve knows he is, there’s just something stopping him.
Eddie needs more, and Steve doesn’t know what to do for him; it’s not like Eddie has nipples he can play with, “baby, what do you need?”
“Rough,” Eddie says suddenly, and oh, Steve gets that, maybe his thumbs tugging a little. He sits up, leaning over same as before, letting his mouth fill with spit. He pins Eddie’s cock still, but it’s wriggling so much that only half of it lands on target, the rest spattering on the webbing between Steve’s finger and thumb.
Steve doesn’t have chance to even get his thumb back in place, that’s enough, Eddie’s hips bucking as he cries out, the loudest noise he’s made so far. The flower petals half close, then open a little, doing a weird little celebratory Mexican wave type thing as Eddie’s back arches sharply, and his right leg twitches violently.
Steve just rides it out, letting Eddie’s body lift his own as Eddie’s hips roll again and again. Eventually it passes and Eddie settles, “okay baby?”
Eddie hums, his cheeks flush and his brown eyes bright, “perfect okay.”
Steve snorts a laugh, “all done?”
Eddie nods, then sighs with contentment, “inied.”
“Good,” Steve lets his cock go, it’s almost funny how it sort of lays down, like a little drunk dude just lying right there on the floor. “Still up for trying something?”
Eddie nods.
“Okay,” Steve clambers up, sitting on his knees next to Eddie, he opens the condom and then, pinching the end, carefully rolls it down to the base of his own cock.
“Why?” Eddie asks, watching with interest now.
“Oh it...well. If you were a girl, it would stop you getting pregnant.”
“Called preg-nant?” Eddie sounds the word out slowly.
“Yeah,” Steve pats his own stomach, trying to word it how Eddie might understand, “planting a baby.”
“Eddidie baby,” Eddie points out.
“Yeah, yeah I know, but I mean baby like...tadpole.”
Eddie sits up then, “tell Eddidie many many baby! Baby called tadpole! Eddidie not kid!”
Steve rubs his face, “oh man,” Steve gets Eddie by the shoulders, but he can’t help but smile, “baby is because...I love you, okay? I know you’re not a tadpole. I know you’re not a kid, okay, it’s just...someone special. Someone important. I love you, okay?”
“Okay,” but Eddie doesn’t look like he’s buying it, at all. And Steve’s sitting here with a throbbingly hard dick and it’s not exactly the conversation he wants to be having right this second.
“Okay, moles? Remember how moles are little animals but moles are also this,” Steve points to his neck, Eddie nods, “two different...but it’s the same word, yeah?”
Eddie’s face lights with understanding, and Steve knows he’s won, “okay, yeah. Eddidie baby.”
“Okay...so how do you feel about me putting my dick in you?” Steve shuffles between Eddie’s legs, his hard cock pointing the way to exactly where he wants to be.
“In? Wet?” Eddie questions. He reaches down to indicate what he means, he uses two fingers, his black oval shaped nails part his glistening wet slit in what is, unintentionally, possibly one of the most erotic things Steve’s ever seen. From where he’s kneeling between Eddie’s spread thighs, he gets a good look at just how wet and pink Eddie is inside, flooded with clear, jello like come.
Steve cock twitches, remembering just how tight it was on his finger, he tries to speak and fails, needing to clear his throat, “yeah, in. Do you want to try?”
Eddie nods, lying back and bending his knees more, letting his thighs fall further apart, the mouth of the slit slick and gaping.
Steve takes a deep breath, letting himself sink forward and down, he takes his weight on one hand where he hovers over Eddie. Using his other hand to guide the head of his dick, notching it at the opening of Eddie’s body.
Eddie's hand flies to Steve’s shoulder, gripping hard, so Steve stops, his eyes dragging, with great difficulty, away from where the rounded head of his condom covered dick is just breaching Eddie, “okay?”
Eddie frowns a little, looking worried, “slowly? Carefully?”
“I-yeah, of course. Eddie we don’t have to do this-”
“Eddidie try,” Eddie insists, “Eddidie tell no.”
“I don’t want to hurt you.”
“Eddidie tell no,” he says again, “it doesn’t hurt.”
“Okay, but you’ll tell me if it does hurt?”
Eddie nods, “Eddidie tell ow.”
“Okay,” Steve looks back down to what he’s doing, allowing himself to slide forward just the most fraction of an inch.
Almost immediately Eddie says, “ow.”
Steve freezes, looking back up. “It doesn’t hurt,” Eddie says innocently.
Steve can tell Eddie’s trying, and failing, to hide a grin, “you’re such a little shit.”
Eddie does laugh then, “little shit. Okay, Steve in now. Promise okay now.”
Steve shakes his head, taking a deep breath, he sinks in. Eddie’s channel is narrow, and it grips the sides of Steve’s cock beautifully. Eddie’s come is so thick and wet it slicks the way, and Eddie is just so fucking warm inside. It’s bliss.
He’s so wet inside that when Steve bottoms out, there’s an obscenely wet squelching noise, and Steve can feel the thick gloop of it dripping out and seeping onto his balls, forced out of Eddie’s body by Steve’s cock. “How does that feel? Okay?”
Eddie opens his mouth, closes it again, like he often does when he’s searching his limited vocabulary. He presses a hand to his stomach, lifting it a little to indicate being bloated or...“after Christmas food.”
“Full.”
Eddie nods, “full,” he shifts then, experimentally rolling his hips, and Steve can’t help but moan at the sucking drag of Eddie’s hole on Steve cock. “Good?”
“So good. You’re so so good for me baby, can I move?”
“Go, yes.”
Steve keeps his weight up off of Eddie, mostly because he wants to watch. When he pulls his cock back out, it’s shiny wet, clumps of Eddie’s slick clinging to the condom like slithers of jello. Steve, cautiously, slides all the way back in.
Eddie sighs, lifting one leg to rest his calf on Steve’s back, changing the angle a little so that Steve’s cock is guided now by the bottom of Eddie’s channel, he’s gripped tight on three sides, and it’s not like anything Steve’s ever felt before.
He already knows this is going to be a short show, but he’s pretty sure Eddie said he can’t come like this anyway, so hopefully he doesn’t mind. The glide is so slick Steve rocks in and out easily, his skin warming, the space between them becoming clammy. Steve can distinctly feel that crease of flesh, the pucker he’d found, dragging up and down the underside of his cock with every thrust.
Eddie holds him tight, one hand gripping Steve’s side, the other on his shoulder before it migrates into Steve’s hair when he leans down to kiss Eddie.
His balls are tight and wet with slick where they're nudging up against Eddie's body, and he’s so close already, he just needs his mouth on Eddie, needs Eddie’s tongue in his mouth when he chokes out a groan, “gonna’ come baby,” against Eddie’s mouth.
Eddie’s eyes are alert and bright, watching with interest. He makes little huffing noises when Steve goes particularly deep but otherwise he’s not showing much sign of actually getting off on this, “yes. Come in Eddidie.”
Steve does, his cock twitching as he grinds up tight to Eddie, filling the condom with sticky mess. He’s a little out of breath as he comes down, panting where his face is buried in the crook of Eddie’s neck; Eddie rubbing his back lovingly, “good Stee?”
“Yeah. Yeah so good baby, thank you.”
“Get cleaned up?”
Steve laughs a little, then forces himself to move, reaching between them to grip the condom at the base so he can pull out. Eddie makes a little chirrup of a noise when Steve’s clear of him, a little shiver running the length of his body and then he stretches luxuriously, arms above his head, wriggling his toes, a picture of contentment. All of his crotch is shiny wet, and as Steve watches his dick sort of rolls over and then slowly withdraws.
Steve pulls off the condom and ties it, Eddie watching with interest, then wrinkling his nose when he sees what’s inside, “taste bad.”
“Well I’ve never had any complaints before.”
Eddie trails after Steve into the bathroom, watching as he ditches the condom in the trash, “called complaints?”
“Uhm...no one else, other people, non of them said it tastes bad.”
Steve’s got the shower going, and when he turns, Eddie’s frown is nuclear, his hands on his hips in a determined Steve pose, “other people,” he repeats icily.
“Oh boy.”
Steve sighs. He’s been back to work for, he checks the clock for about the hundredth time, nearly two hours, and he’s already had enough. He’s almost looking forward to the kids showing up. Not that it isn’t nice to finally spend some time with Robin but...he kind of misses Eddie. It’s probably like, the honey moon stage, or whatever, the first shiny new part of a relationship when all you want it them but...still.
When the phone rings, Robin calls, “I’m not getting that.”
Steve sighs, leaving his stack of returns and leaning over the counter to scrabble for the phone, “hello, Family Video, how can I help-”
“Stee love.”
“Eddie? How did you- never mind, you okay?”
“No. Eddidie ow. Hurt.”
“Okay, I’m coming home, not long.” Steve hangs up, “Robs! I just got to go home a second, that okay?”
“Oh no,” she says from where she’s rolling back and forth on the office chair, waiting for a tape to rewind, “whatever will I do in the face of this horde of customers,” there’s currently one dude in the store, “I shall never cope with-”
“Yeah yeah, back soon.”
Steve doesn’t break any traffic laws on the way home, but he probably pushes it. Eddie’s on the couch when Steve gets in, looking alert and watching for Steve, “you okay?”
“Eddidie hurt,” he says, looking sad suddenly.
“Okay, show me.”
And Eddie stalls. Just for a moment, but long enough for Steve to catch it, before he, vaguely, indicates his tummy.
Steve suddenly has an inkling as to what’s going on here, but he comes to sit next to Eddie anyway, resting a gentle hand on his tummy, “hows that.”
Eddie nods, “good. TV?”
“Oh no. If you’re sick, then no TV. We just have to sit quiet.”
“Dinner food?”
“Definitely not. No. Here, lie down.”
Eddie does, but with a frown on his face, “Stee Eddidie out in car?”
“Nope.”
Eddie’s pout has achieved spectacular levels, “why?”
“Because you’re sick.”
It seems to dawn on Eddie that he has been completely caught out in his lie. Steve watches it happen, the emotions slowly play out. Eddie looks like he’s going through the stages of grief or something.
“How did you get works number? To call me?”
“One book,” it sounds like ‘own book.’
Steve hums, “how did you know which number it was?”
Eddie points to Steve’s vest, where it clearly says ‘Family Video’ over the little breast pocket.
“You’re so fucking clever. But I have to go back to work. You’re fine, aren’t you?” Eddie pouts, “you must never tell lies.”
“Called lie?” Eddie asks, shame faced now, plucking at his sleeve.
“Not true.” Steve tugs at his vest, “this is green. True. This is blue. Lie. Eddie is fine, true. Eddie has an ow, lie. We never tell lies.”
“Sorry,” Eddie mumbles.
“It’s okay,” Steve bends down to kiss Eddie on the cheek, “I’ll be back around nine, okay?”
“Steve, you want anything else?”
“No thanks Joyce that was amazing. Here, let me help with dishes, you should sit.”
“No, you’re a guest-”
“Let the kid help-” Hopper starts.
“Because it gets you out of it,” Joyce huffs, but it’s fond, and she leans over and kisses Hop on the cheek.
When Steve gets back, Eddie is sitting on the couch with El, one leg pulled up, his fingers locked together over his shin, “Steve,” she says.
Eddie leans forward, a look of great concentration on his face, “Ste-eee,” he says, but it comes out wobbling and uncertain.
“No, it’s got a ‘v’ in it,” and she makes the ‘v’ sound again, “so, Stee-ve,”
“Vee?” El nods, “Ste-vie?”
Steve’s heart flutters in his chest. Watching them, he feels a strange sense of happiness for Eddie, but also melancholy; he knows he’s about to loose, ‘Stee’. It was inevitable, he knows, Eddie’s getting better at speaking all the time. This was always going to happen.
“Almost, Steve,” she stresses the second part of Steve’s name.
“Steee-vie?” Eddie frowns, looking a bit frustrated that his mouth isn’t cooperating.
“I like Stevie,” Steve says, heading over to them.
Eddie nods, “Ste-vie,” he says proudly, “Stevie love?”
“Sounds good to me,” Steve wedges himself between Eddie and the arm of the couch, then Jon files in and sits on the floor, making room as the coffee table gets shifted. Joyce
Hopper and Mike squeeze onto the other couch, “here kid,” Hopper passes an envelope across.
Out of it fall a drivers license, a passport, a birth certificate. Steve is caught for a second looking at the little picture of Eddie in his wig, and he guesses it works well enough. You have to really squint at the little picture to figure anything is up with it, and even then Steve figures he knows so he's looking for it, and the picture is obviously Eddie. He reads the details on the license, “Edwin!” He says, suddenly outraged, “Munson?! Hopper what the-”
“It’s what it said on the paper!”
“It did not say ‘Edwin’-”
“Eddie is not anyone's name kid, Eddie is always short for something else-”
“Edwin though?!”
“It was the first thing that popped into my head-”
Steve feels Eddie take the stack of papers out of his hands to inspect them, “and Munson? It said Mon-son! With an ‘O’!”
“It did not!” Hopper digs around in his pocket for the scrap of paper Steve had handed him along with the photos, “here, Munson.”
“That’s an ‘O’!”
“Well it looks like a ‘U’!”
“Stevie,” Eddie says carefully, “Stevie love, drive car again now?”
Steve looks over, Eddie’s carefully turning the pages of his new passport, inspecting his license, reading his birth certificate, like all of it is the most precious things he’s ever seen, “yeah,” Steve sighs. “Yeah, yeah of course.” Eddie beams at him.
Hoppers eyebrows are practically in his hair, “what does he mean, ‘again’?”

Chapter 11 - Masterlist - Playlist
Chapter 12
“Dad! Stop, fucking stop please!” You are yanking on your dad now, who’s all tensed up, attacking Toji, he looks to you then, so much sadness in his eyes it breaks your heart, as Toji wipes the back of his hand, wiping blood off his lips.
“It’s alright, doll, let him get it out. I’d be beating up a man that touched my daughter too.”
“She’s not your doll Toji, what the fuck!” Shiu shoves him, but Toji is so big he doesn’t budge, his hands in the pockets of his sweats, shifting his weight and tilting his head.
“Why don’t ya ask her what she wants? She’s not a kid anymore, she’s a grown woman, who can speak for herself.”
“She is just a kid!”
“Dad…” Your dad sighs, looking at you then, as you take his hand, already bloodied by punching your… almost fiance/baby daddy… Toji, in the face. He looks down at you then, emotions heavy.
“Baby I’m not mad at you.” He says, and you feel your own tears, as you know you have hurt him so much.
“Dad I wanted this, no matter what you think, I love him. I love him so much, more than anything… except this baby I’m going to have. Because I’ll love her or him even more.” Shiu wipes his face then, as neighbors come out, curious about the commotion.
“Fuck… come in.” He walks straight in your childhood home, and you hold Toji’s big hand, giving him a ginger touch to the cheek.
“I’m fine, doll.” He murmurs, and you shut the door, as your dad is standing in the kitchen, clinging to the counter, his head down. Toji lets you go, and you walk to your dad, putting your arms around him then, head against his back, so strong, but so defeated right now.
“Dad…” You expect him to push you away, but he grabs your hands then, by your wrists, letting you hug him. “Dad I love you, I miss you… I don’t want to not have a relationship with you over this.”
“I don’t want it either.” He turns then, hugging you tightly to his chest, brushing your hair back like he did when you were little, and you snuggle to him, crying now. “I’ll never not be here for you, kiddo.”
“Dad…” You peck a kiss on his cheek, and he manages a little smile as he looks down at you now. “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”
“Don’t apologize for having… feelings, baby. It’s okay, maybe I just… can’t stand the thought of you growing up.” You’re crying more, as Toji silently stands there, leaning on the kitchen table, and Shiu glares then. “Doesn’t mean I understand you, Toji, you fucking initiated it all.”
“I know… I know. I was being a piece of shit, Shiu, but I didn’t expect… fuck, I fell in love harder than I ever have, even with Gumi’s mom. I’ve never been in love like this, like with her.” At Toji’s emotional declaration your tears flow more, hot and sticky as your dad tenses in your hold.
“Why my kid? Why?”
“She’s fucking amazing, she’s made me… less of a piece of shit. She makes me wanna do better. She makes me… so fucking happy. I died without her, I really tried those two months, Shiu, but I couldn’t fucking stand it.”
“I was miserable too.” You admit softly, and your dad looks up at the ceiling, sighing and covering his face.
“I want to murder you and toss you out to sea, I swear I do.” Shiu grumbles, and Toji smirks a bit, brushing his inky black hair back. “It’s not a joke. I think of ways to kill you all the time.”
“I don’t blame you, buddy.”
“Not your buddy.” Shiu looks at you then, swiping your tears then, frowning as he takes you in. “Do you want this? Because if so, I will be here for you.”
“I do want this, dad, having a baby? It wasn’t what I thought of, but now I can’t imagine not having one. I’m nervous… will I be a good mom? Because… mom never… well never cared. But, I had the best dad ever.” Shiu curses softly, hugging you again, so tight.
“Oh baby, you’ll be such a good mom, look how good you always took care of me. Cooking for me when you were what, ten? Alone all the time because I had work, and you’d make sure I had dinner, make sure the house wasn’t a shit show. You already know how to take care of people.”
“Thank you, dad, I needed to hear that.” You pull back and both take shaky breaths, and now Shiu touches your tummy gently, smiling just a bit.
“Fuck, I’ll be a grandpa? I’m too young.” You giggle through your tears, holding his hand there, picturing your dad holding his grandbaby, something you worried would never happen, and you’re so full of happiness then.
“You will be the best! I want you in their life. Please. You’ll be… well, the only grandparent you know.” You look at Toji, who’s had no parents most of his life, and his lips are in a smile, as he watches you two.
“I’ll spoil the kid, don’t you know? Fuck it’ll be a badass kid. It’ll be fighting you in your tummy.”
“Oh god, I know! I’m not looking forward to a baby ninja.” You all laugh, but Shiu scowls back over at Toji again, and you feel the tension. “Dad, should you all speak alone for a few?”
“He may not survive.” Shiu says calmly, earning Toji’s chuckle, but Shiu is dead ass serious, and Toji is a little wary.
“Don’t kill him, please?” Shiu rolls his eyes. “Dad!”
“Fine, only for you I won’t. Can’t promise he’ll have functioning parts-”
“Dad!”
“Oh fine.” You’re crossing your arms, walking up to Toji then, pressing a kiss on his lips, earning your dad’s gagging noises. “Oh god, not in front of me, fuck.”
“Good luck, big man.” You tease, patting his cheek. “I’ll get in that Hello Kitty bikini before it doesn’t fit at all, hang in the pool.” You whisper in his ear, and he grips your waist tight for a moment before you run off, leaving the both of them to their… whatever this was going to be.
You bounce down in your bikini and grab a towel, and hear ‘I am not gonna call you my son in law, the fuck Fushiguro!?”
Oh god.
You walk by to get out to the pool, and Toji can’t stop himself from looking at you, eyes travelling down your body, only for Shiu to hit him in the back of the head. You snort at them. “Be nice, I said!”
“Yeah, if he quits fucking looking at you like that!”
“Dad, he’s my…”
“Your what? Boyfriend?”
“Fiance, if you’ll let me.” Shiu gets up then, his chair screeching on the floors, eyes wide. “I’d ask even if she wasn’t knocked up.”
“Knocked up. Marriage. The fuck, you!? I need a goddamn drink.” Your dad slinks to the fridge, cracking open a beer, and you watch Toji grab for one and earn a smack on the head again as you head to the pool.
It’s going well, you think.
Better than having a dead baby daddy?
You slide into the pool, closing your eyes, as you remember the night you and Toji saw each other… different. You, an adult, and him, an attractive man, that night he had kissed you in this pool, the night he pressed against your heat, the night you’d clung to him in the deep side of the pool. It had been the night that absolutely everything had shifted.
Your entire world shifted that night, when he’d fucking devoured you on your bed, when he’d spit in your mouth, when he’d slapped you, and it was exactly what you wanted, you loved him commanding you. You loved him being freaky, nasty, intense and fucking crazy. You loved feeling like his little doll, starting with that night.
But not just sexually, those moments of vulnerability, those moments where Toji was so caring and sweet, when he took care of you. When he would hold you, or just look at you with those intense green eyes, when he opened up. That night that started a tidal wave that nothing could stop, there was nothing that could keep you from him, nor him from you.
You put a hand on your tummy as you watch your dad and Toji argue, and you just pray they become friends again. Not just for the baby or for the family, but just friends again in general. To have ruined such a close friendship has deeply wounded you, and you don’t know if they’ll recover, but you just hope they can come to some understanding with each other.
Soon they’re walking out, and they are in swim trunks, Toji is sitting at the edge of the pool and your dad joins him, both with beers in their hands, but Toji hands you a bottle of water. You take it with a small smile, walking to them through the pool, nervously flitting your gaze back and forth.
“How’d that go?” You ask, and Toji chuckles, your dad grimaces.
“Got that blessing, doll, just gotta get a ring.”
“What, no way!” Your eyes are wide, and Shiu starts chugging that amber beer, clearing his throat. “You’re gonna let us marry?”
“It’s what’s best for your baby, to have parents together. And… I do think Toji will be a good father. He better fucking be, or I’ll cut him piece by-”
“Dad!”
“Ahem. He’ll take care of you. I do know that.”
“I will take care of her with my life, and the kid.” Toji says, and Shiu awkwardly pats your head as you stand there, in shock.
“If it makes you happy, I will try my best. I want to be a part of your kid’s life, even if it means staring down this fucker and wanting to kill him for all my days.”
“But I can’t call ya dad?”
“No!” You and Shiu both yell at Toji, and he’s just grinning, hopping in the water and hugging you tightly.
“And none of that, either, in front of me, ugh.” Shiu hops in the pool now too, separating you both. You take your dad’s hand then, smiling brightly, and he melts as he always does for his kiddo, even if he really wants to kill Toji, he’s trying. “Dad, thank you for this. I mean it.”
“It’s nothing. This family is important to me, even if he’s in it. Ugh.” Shiu shivers in disgust, and Toji comes to put a hand on Shiu’s shoulder, which he looks like he very well might cut off. “I swear to god…”
“I’ll take care of them, forever. I promise.” Shiu looks at him, eyes narrowed.
“Better get her a nice ring, a real one, no fake shit.”
A ring… holy…
“Of course I will, anything for her.” Toji’s words hit, and you realize the intent now, that soon you all would be… together, completely. “You know that, don’t ya doll?”
“I do know that.” You say softly, wanting to hug him, but you hold back, so your dad doesn’t kill you both, peeking up at him.
“I don’t want you ruining your career, at all, promise me you will not just… be Toji’s fucking housewife.”
You snort at that, and Toji glares at you. “Oh trust me, I so don’t wanna be. I will be a mom, and be able to work, it will just be… a different way of life. But isn’t that what you did, dad? Figured it out. Younger than me.”
“I did, and I don’t regret it, not one bit. Best thing that happened to me.” You cover your face then, a ball of emotions.
“Am I getting pregnant emotions? Fuck.” You whine, and they both laugh softly.
“You probably are. How far along?”
“Three months.”
“Toji… I’ll fucking-”
“Dad!” Now the two grown men are shoving each other in the pool, you slip up the steps to avoid the splashes. “Dad!”
“That was like as soon as you got here!?”
“Shiu, I swear… I didn’t… fuck, you’ve gotten strong.”
“Yeah, you’re getting soft and lazy.”
You watch them for some time, as they’re soaking wet messes, giggling uncontrollably, until you’re a mix of crying and laughing. You have towels ready for them, as they scowl at each other, and Toji is shaking off like some puppy. You help him dry off, and he smiles down at you, cupping your face, you expect Shiu to go insane, but he watches you all carefully.
“You have to marry me, that was the agreement, I survived.” You roll your eyes, as he pulls you to his damp body, you shiver a bit at the contact, as he kisses your forehead sweetly.
“Is this another shitty proposal, old man?” You tease, and he scowls right down at you now.
“Was tryna be sweet, brat.” You stick your tongue out, knowing he would punish you later, and thriving in it, like a damn brat, but he loves it too. “You gonna marry me then?”
“Maybe, I’ll think about it.”
“Fuck you’re mean.”
“Just like her dad.” Shiu pats your shoulder with a smile. “That’s my girl.”
“Fuck this kid is gonna be such a brat either way.” Toji grumbles, and then the three of you do laugh. For the rest of the evening you do explain things to Shiu, leaving out the scandalous parts of course, and Toji explains things as well. Shiu is mostly calm but he also is constantly on the edge of killing Toji.
After grilling out, it damn near feels like it was before, and the night winds down, making your dad yawn. “I’m crashing, I swear I hear one noise I’ll kill you, Toji. One fucking noise.”
Toji smirks then, his scar stretching, jaws defined under the dark stubble that is growing. “You didn’t hear shit last time, buddy-”
“That’s it!”
“Toji, you’re gonna die, fucking idiot!” You step in front of him, holding your arms out, and your dad glares at you now too.
“I should ground you.”
“Ground me!?” You burst out laughing, but he crosses his arms.
“I should still be able to, just wait, till your kid acts up and you can’t even do anything anymore.”
“I’m gonna be a mom, not a kid.” He sighs again, you’ve lost count of Shiu’s sighs since you’ve been back.
“Stay the weekend, okay? I’ll try not to commit homicide.” He looks to Toji, who is shamelessly smirking, and you can tell it takes a lot for him not to lose it. He puts his hand on your tummy again, as if to calm himself down. “Good night, kiddo, get some rest, okay? Growing a life in there.”
“Just the size of a pea for now. But, yes I am.” You smile up at him, then peck a kiss on his cheek. “Good night dad. I’ll cook breakfast in the morning!”
“Don’t cook any for him.” You’re shaking with laughter as Shiu goes to his room, and you gasp as Toji pulls you to his lap, hand on your hip.
“You have a death wish!” You hiss, but he just pulls you closer, bare chested and just in his sweats now, you’re in hello kitty pajamas you have here. He strokes your cheek so gently, eyes looking at you serious.
“You gonna marry me or not?”
“Fine, I guess.”
“You’re a bitch.”
“You’re a dick!”
“Oh yeah?”
“Mmhmm!” You’re pulled to straddle his lap now, fucking crazy ass Toji, you’re in your dad’s living room and he actually didn’t kill this man, but he’s shameless, as he presses his rough fingers into your hips.
“You better marry me, I swear no dick if not.” Your brows raise, mouth dropping open then.
“What!? Old fashioned ass!”
“Fine, no dick brat.”
“Toji… I wanna marry you, okay? I do.” He exhales then, and you cup his face, as you feel him against your heat. “I can’t think of anything better, than marrying you, then having our baby. Okay?”
“Fuck, you stress me out.” He kisses you now, pulling you tight, his strong hands so tight as if he is afraid to let you go. You cling to him, biting back a cry at how good it feels, with your messy tongues, with your teeth clicking, your noses bumping, as Toji consumes every bit of you. “Gonna need blood pressure meds, fuck.”
“You do, and cholesterol meds, geriatric- Toji!”
“That’s it…” He’s picked you up now, and you’re flailing in his arms, as he takes you outside, and you tremble as he shuts the door, and the lights by the pool are illuminating his face, one screwed up in a scowl. “You’re getting swimming lessons, gonna have to teach our kid y’know.”
“You teach them, fuck that! Toji!” He’s stripped you down, and you thank god your dad’s a heavy sleeper, as he strips naked too, looking like some goddamn action star, but ten times hotter, his cock at full attention. You flush even as you see him all the time, it’s always so much to take in. “Toji… you really wanna die, huh?”
“Shh, brat. C’mon.” He has you in the pool then, and you’re clinging to him, completely naked, pussy throbbing and achy against his waist as he carries you to the deep end, as he presses you against the pool wall, and your breath catches in your throat. “Anyone kiss these pretty titties before, doll?”
You giggle, as he speaks just as he had before, and your nipples are taut and poking out for attention. “No one has, I’m afraid.”
“It’s my lucky fuckin’ day.” Toji takes your breast in one of his hands, squishing it and sucking it into his hot mouth, looking up at you, as the water gently waves cooly around you both. You’re trembling with need, head falling back, clinging to his strong shoulders.
“Fuck… you remember all that?” You whisper, making him laugh softly, kissing your other areola, before sucking it into his mouth, sliding a hand down your tummy, finding you slick between puffy lips. “Mmm!”
“Shh, doll, gonna wake up your dad.” You are done for, fuck you want this man, and right now. You reach down for his cock, and he moans into your mouth, as you all kiss so messy again.
“Difference is, I’m no virgin now. I’ll fuck you right here.” You whisper in his ear now, biting the earlobe, and Toji shivers, as the cool night air hits your exposed skin, then he’s pumping two fingers in your little hole, hitting that spot, you’re blinded at how good it feels. “F-fuck…”
“So slutty, fucking me in your dad’s pool huh?”
Shit.
You’re awful, it’s turning you on, all the memories of before, of sneaking the fuck around, of that insane desire that felt so wrong but so right, of wanting your dad’s best friend, but now Toji was so much more. Now, Toji was everything, as you’re soaking his thick digits, as you’re stroking his cock, as he’s pressing your back against that cold wall, his body heat enwrapping you.
“Asked ya a question, doll.” He orders, and you just stick your tongue out, earning a groan, and now he has your mouth open, spitting a long trail of saliva down your throat. “Fuckin brat, never learned to listen.”
He spits again, and then shuts your mouth, as you swallow it, and it turns you on so much you’re rubbing your pussy against him, beggind and pleading with your little body against his huge one. Toji’s gripping your ass now, as you open up and he’s spitting in your mouth again, then you all kiss with it, drooling spit down your faces, as his cock shoves in.
“Mmm!” You’re crying out as he presses in, so tight in the pool, so different, as he fills you, and you’re pulsing around him already. He is kissing and licking down your throat, biting you in places, sucking every bit of skin he can find.
“You’re too tight like this, fuck.” He whispers, and you’re shaking around him, covered in glistening reddened bites, your eyes glazed over as they meet his.
“Can’t take it, Daddy ?” You taunt, earning him fucking you so good now, rolling his hips as you cling to him, as your head falls back, and you struggle to hold in your screams when his tip keeps annihilating your g spot, your cervix.
“Got something to say, fuckin brat?” He demands then, huffing, and you shatter around him, cumming so good, he smirks as you do. “Greedy lil bitch, slutty lil cunt, she wants to get fucked everywhere.”
“Fuck you Toji.” You manage to speak, earning his bite hard on your neck. “Keep marking me… dad’ll… kill you… mmm!”
“Only daddy here right now is me, doll.”
He shoves in so hard again, as one hand rolls your clit, and you’re digging your nails in his hair as your arms wrap, as he fucks into you in the night, right in that pool, and you feel yourself floating in his arms, so weightless, as you lose more and more of your surroundings, until it’s just him. Just this gruff man who spits in your mouth, who fucks you so good.
“T-Toji…”
“Ah-ah.” He slaps your cheek gently, earning more of your cunt tightening down on him, and he sucks in a breath at it.
“Daddy.” You correct, and now he’s fucking you again, shallow and deep thrusts, pounding your cervix until it hurts so bad. “Daddy!”
“That’s it, little bratty girl. Daddy makes you cum this much, huh?”
“Always. Always!”
“Shh.” He covers your mouth with his big palm now, fucking you hard, water sloshing all around you both. With your legs wrapped around his waist, you could feel the powerful muscles of his thighs flexing as he moved in and out of you. His strokes grew stronger, faster, sending waves of pleasure. “Pretty lil doll, lemme feel ya cum f’me.”
You do just that, your eyes rolling back in your head, as your pussy tightens down around his thick shaft, as he’s groaning in your ear, and you can feel the warmth of his breath against your cheek. You’re cumming so hard, soaking his hand with your saliva and drowning your loud moans, as his eyes glint in the night, and you feel him thicken inside you.
“Want Daddy till fill ya up, huh doll?” You nod eagerly, then he’s pumping slowly, filling you with his hot cum, whispering in your ear as he does. “F-fuck…” He moans softly, and you whine, as he’s pushing cum deeper. “Love painting these pretty insides, doll.”
“Mmm…” You’re shaking, as he eases back, releasing your mouth, cupping your face like you’re precious, the duality of him will never stop making you ache, making you fall deeper. “Love you, Toji… pervy old man.”
“Love you, slutty brat.” You giggle then, as it echoes, making him cover your lips with a finger. “Wanted to fuck you so bad that night.” He whispers, walking you gently through the pool now, and you’re shivering as the cold hits the more shallow you go. “Fuck I came eating your pussy.”
“You’re so freaky.” He snorts, and soon he’s got your all wrapped up in a towel, and then around his waist, and you breathlessly bring him up to your room, rummaging through your drawers for something warm.
“I brought some extra sweats, put em on.” You look at him, brows together, picturing yourself in his big sweats. “They’ll look so fuckin hot, please.”
“Toji! They’ll swallow me.”
“That’s the point. Lemme get em.” He pulls out two pairs of sweats now, how many sweats does Toji own, it’s a mystery. You slip a little cropped tank on, your nipples stark and apparent, and he can’t help but flick his thumbs over them for a moment, making your sore little cunt throb. “Fuck you’re sexy.”
“Gimme em! I’m so cold.” He laughs softly, bending down, sliding the huge sweats that swallow you, he rolls them up three times at the waist, pulling the draw strings then, and you peek in your mirror, covering your mouth as you take yourself in. “I look like MC Hammer, Toji!”
“Y’know who MC Hammer is!?”
“Of course, the classics you know.” He snorts, hugging you from behind, big hand on your tummy as his other arm wraps under your breasts, wrapping your body entirely, and you snuggle back against him. “We look good together, Mr. Fushiguro.”
“You look good, I look like a bum that you picked up.”
“Do not! Don’t talke mean about yourself. Only I can.”
“Oh yeah?” You nod, as he kisses your head, and he strokes your tummy softly. “I can’t wait to feel it kick in there.”
“That’s so crazy to think of. Oh my gosh. How big will this baby’s head be, hopefully not as big as yours.”
“Nah it’ll be bigger, like your big ass head.”
“Hey!” You shove at him, turning, and he snatches you up, carrying you over to your bed then, throwing your stuffies on the floor, making you smack him with a big Kitty plush, glaring. “You pick them up!”
“Nah, they creep me out, they ain’t sleeping with us.” He’s throwing more and more, and you’re hopping off the bed, throwing them back at his face, until he’s got you pinned under him, and you’re both out of breath, you’re grinning up, and he pauses, sighing and caressing your face.
“What is it, old man?” You ask, pulling another plush and bopping the side of his head. And he just caresses your face with one hand, as he’s pressing his body down on yours.
“You’re just beautiful is all.”
“Toji, what, that’s… are you fucked up from being hit in the head by dad? You mean ‘beautiful slutty brat’ yeah?” You mock his voice, but she shakes his head, serious as he studies you, as you brush his damp hair back.
“Nah, you’re beautiful. Gonna be so beautiful with my baby.” He leans down now, kissing your bare tummy, big hands taking over your waist as he presses sweet kisses. You lean up on your elbows, looking down at your handsome man, so sweet with you in moments, and it touches you, as you see it in your own mind too.
“I can’t wait, Toji.”

Superglue.
Pairing: Mostly Swiss x Fem!Reader but it’s a poly!ghoul situation lol
Warnings: Angst, comfort, touch-starved reader
A/N: This is incredibly self-indulgent because I’m ridiculously touch-starved lmao.
Swiss had only recently noticed the way Y/N seemed to react to touch. Even little touches here and there- at first, she would flinch; then eventually leaned into the touch. She looked on with a look of what appeared to be envy and sadness when she saw the affection the others gave and received.
The ghouls very rarely touched her; her initial flinch response had made them wary; they didn’t want to make her uncomfortable. It hit Swiss the other day when he watched Mountain cleaning up a cut that Y/N had. Mountain touched her with such gentleness and sincerity; she leaned into it, her eyes glossy and almost desperate. That hit Swiss like a ton of bricks.
Y/N never really got upset to the point of tears in front of the ghouls, she seemed to just display anger. Despite that, Swiss could detect a hint of fear, sadness and longing whenever she would lash out at anyone; she’d storm off after, tears in her eyes. If anyone tried to follow her, they’d get immediately shut down and shut out.
-
Swiss watched intently from the table as Y/N washed up from dinner. The others had gone back to the den, but he had decided to stay and keep her company. She had seemed slightly snappy at dinner tonight, her responses to everyone were short and sharp. Despite this, Swiss had noticed that her hands were shaking anytime she picked anything up, her legs anxiously bouncing under the table.
“Fuck! Ow, shit.”
Swiss was bought out of his thoughts by Y/N’s string of curse words. He stood up, walking over to her as he noticed her wrapping a hand towel around her now bleeding finger.
“You okay? Let me see-”
“It’s fine. I’m fine.” She snapped, not even looking at him.
“Y/N-” He started as he put his hand up to her back.
She quickly flinched, moving away as she practically glared at him.
Swiss frowned, looking down at her as he stepped back a little; his features laced with concern.
“I’m just trying to help.” He said, studying her face. He watched as her expression changed from irritated to a strange mixture of regret and sadness. He gently reached out, resting his hand on her shoulder. Y/N flinched, but didn’t move away from him.
“I’m sorry, I- I didn’t mean to-” She started, her voice no longer snappy, instead it seemed… fearful? Swiss took a step closer, his hand still gently on her shoulder as he studied her face.
“You’re okay, Y/N. Don’t apologise.” He said, his tone was sincere and caring. Taking another step closer, he looked down at her as he felt her starting to lean into him; she had tears in her eyes.
Slowly, Swiss gently wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a comfortable, but not suffocating embrace. He felt Y/N relax into him slightly, her breathing ragged and shaky. The ghoul brought his hand up to her head, securing her in the hug.
“You’re okay, sweetheart.” He mumbled as he heard a raspy sob come from her as she started shaking. Y/N pressed her face into Swiss’ neck, her hands clinging to his shirt for dear life. He stroked her hair softly, holding her close to him, he felt his heart break as she sobbed into his chest.
“Y/N, honey, listen to me. Breathe in… And out… In… and out.” His voice was almost pleading with her, but it didn’t work. She clung so tightly to him, almost like she was afraid that he would disappear. He kept stroking her hair and holding her, just letting her get it out of her system. After a little while, she began to calm down; she still had tears running down her face but she was breathing more evenly.
“Good job, sweetheart. I’ve got you, okay? You’re alright.” Swiss soothed, rubbing gentle circles on her back. Y/N finally pulled her face away from his neck, looking up at him with watery eyes and tear stained cheeks. She didn’t let go of his shirt, the fabric was still balled up in her fists. Swiss moved his hands to gently rest on her waist as he studied her; he brought one hand up to gently wipe away her tears with his sleeve.
“What happened, love?” He asked, his voice gentle and soft.
“I- I don’t really know.” She mumbled, looking up at him with a desperate, sad look in her eyes.
Swiss nodded in response as he stroked a stray hair behind her ear.
“Y/N… Whatever happened to you before, it will never ever happen here, okay? We will take care of you. All I want is for you to trust us enough to be honest when you’re struggling, okay sweetheart?” He said, his eyes sincere. She nodded as tears started to well up in her eyes again. Swiss pulled her back into a tight hug, quietly shushing her as he rubbed her back whilst she cried.
In one swift motion, he pick Y/N up- her arms wrapped around his neck. The ghoul had one arm under her thighs, supporting her as her legs wrapped around his waist. His other hand was soothingly rubbing her back in small, comforting circles.
“I’m gonna take you to the den, okay? You’re going to be okay.” Swiss said as he started walking, carrying her. She didn’t say anything, just letting out a quiet sob into his shoulder, gripping him ever so slightly tighter.
Once at the ghoul’s den, Y/N was practically swarmed by them.
“Hey! Give her some space, would you?” Swiss said, a slight edge to his voice. She nuzzled her face into his neck, almost embarrassed for the others to see her like this. He slowly let her down, her feet now back on the ground; she was hesitant to let go at first, but she felt a large hand resting on her back, and she slowly unwrapped herself from Swiss, turning around to see Mountain offering a small smile.
“We’ve got just the thing that will help, buttercup.” Mountain said, his voice soft and warm. The tall ghoul led Y/N to the couch; he sat down and patted the space next to him. Once she sat down, they were quickly joined by the others; Swiss sat the other side of her, wrapping an arm around her, Sodo just sat himself right on top of her, snuggling in closely as he started softly purring; Rain sat on the floor below, using Swiss’ legs as a pillow, whilst he wrapped himself around her legs, gently rubbing her knee with his thumb, and Phantom sat down on Mountain’s lap, squishing close to both him and Y/N.
She was surrounded by the comfort of her ghouls, all of them touching her in some shape or form; all of them showing her sweet affection and nothing else. She breathed out a sigh, glancing around before letting her eyes flutter shut.

anyway here’s more maxiel divorce verse for anyone who’s a bit sad about today’s race. <3 (part 1 here, part 2 here)
“Stay,” Max says, rushed, before Charles can get anything else out.
“Okay,” Daniel says. He tries to clear the lump in his throat. He’s been waiting for Max to say that word, but this is as close as he’ll get, probably. “Tilt your head forward for me.” Max does; Daniel gingerly presses the ice where his head meets his neck.
Max hisses, reaching up to grab Daniel’s forearm. It’s been so long since Max initiated touch with him; Daniel forces himself not to jolt.
“I know, baby, I’m sorry.”
Max groans, gradually loosening his grip. “Can we do the bathtub thing?”
“The– Oh, yeah, sure. Charles, do you have a bath?”
“I feel like you are being the doctor and I am the nurse,” Charles says. He’s hovering closer than a second ago. “Yes, I do, is it for something weird?”
“It’s not for anything weird. Can you fill it up with hot water? As hot as it can get without burning.”
“Fine. But it’s for him.” It’s too dark for Daniel to see the look Charles is giving him. Just as well.
Daniel stays there, crouched beside Max, keeping the ice pressed to his neck. Max’s breaths are shallow, like he’s trying really hard not to wince, but he’s mostly failing. “The medicine is gonna help,” he says, just for something to say. In the dark, eyes closed, Max reaches around for his hand. Daniel links their fingers, squeezing hard. Max’s hand is clammy and he can’t get a good grip on Daniel, all weak and floppy. “Tell me what feels bad?”
Max turns his face into a couch cushion, making a tiny whining sound. “It’s– what do you say? The whole nine yards? I scared Charles with the throwing up.” He’s talking more, which is a good sign.
“It’s fine,” Daniel says. “He called me and I’m here now, so it’s fine.” He presses his thumb against where Max’s jaw meets his cheek. He’s so tense everywhere.
Charles comes back into the room. “The water’s in the bath. I’m saying again to not do anything weird.”
“We are going to do something so weird,” says Max. He groans as he swivels his legs around to stand up, pressing on his forehead. “Ah, fuck. Shit.” He grabs Daniel’s wrist, squeezing hard.
“Take it easy,” Daniel says, clearing his throat where it’s all thick. He hates this, he hates that Max hurts, that he’s still hurting, and he— he loves, sort of, that it’s him Max is reaching out for. It’s fucking twisted.
Max doesn’t ask to be helped, so Daniel doesn’t offer, just hovers as Max slowly pushes himself to stand up. But Max is unwieldy, swaying a little, and— and he grabs for Daniel again. Maybe it’s just because Daniel’s seen it all before, because he’s fed him and bathed him and sat with him in the middle of the night, but. He’s still being chosen. “Sorry,” Max says, like Daniel would ever want him to do anything else. “My eyes are not so good.”
“It’s fine. I have you.” I always will, I always fucking will.
Charles waves them through to his master bathroom. In the light, Daniel can see that Max’s left pupil is blown. He’s sweaty and he looks like shit, hair all messed up, but he’s Max, and he’s gorgeous. Daniel wants to hold him.
“Max, yell for me if he is doing anything weird to you,” Charles says, and ducks out of the room. Conceding.
“You could have told him we’re not getting naked.”
“I mean, I am taking my pants off,” Max says. “Can I hold on to you?”
Daniel nods slowly, feeling oddly like he should look away. He watches the ceiling as Max holds onto him for balance.
If Max notices him acting weird, he doesn’t say so. “You’ll get your pants wet,” he says instead.
Oh. Daniel glances to the door, where Charles is not. This isn’t what he expected when he woke up today, he thinks, as he’s stepping out of his jeans.
They sit on the edge of the tub, Daniel pressing the ice pack to Max’s neck. It’s an easy trick; get the circulation down into his lower body and away from his head.
“Charles could do this,” Daniel says, after a moment.
“I know,” Max says. He leans his head on Daniel’s shoulder, closing his eyes. He doesn’t say it, but Daniel knows it: I wanted you. “Do you have somewhere to be?”
“No.” Maybe he should have lied, or not answered so quickly.
“Good.” Max traces a circle on Daniel’s thigh, over the ship tattoo. “Charles thought I would be angry that you were coming. But I wasn’t.”
“No?”
“No. I was—relieved. I do not like being like that. And Charles is not good in emergencies.”
“You can always call me,” Daniel says. He pictures being at dinner with some girl, or a guy, and bolting because Max isn’t alright. He knows he would.
“I know,” Max says.

Trailer park Steve AU part 46
part 1 | part 45 | ao3
cw: recreational drinking
Somewhere around the second chorus, Nancy finally stops twirling, head down and eyes closed as she wobbles dangerously in place — Steve can see Jon tensing just in case he needs to jump in and save her from busting her ass — and when she looks up, her eyes lock on Steve like she's seeing him for the first time in forty years.
“Steeeeeve!” she slurs, smile sloshing over her features like a splash of spilled punch.
Good god. “Hey, Nance.”
She reaches over and paws at his arm, a swiping motion like she's either about to yank him in for a hug or wipe some lint off his sleeve, and says, “Steve, I— I, um- can- can we...?”
With a determined look in her glossy eyes, she pitches forward and slams into him. Steve goes flopping backward into a squishy leather armchair and lands with a lapful of Nancy. Nancy Wheeler, the ex who dumped him at a party not unlike this one. Who left him for a guy standing a foot and a half away.
Who's snickering into the crook of his neck now as she clings to his shoulders to try and stop herself from slinking sideways to the floor.
Steve throws Eddie and Jonathan matching looks — something between 'this okay?' and 'what the actual fuck?' — but Jon just shrugs like what're ya gonna do? and Eddie gives him a quick wink and turns his attention back to the boys.
Super helpful, Ed. Thanks so fucking much.
“Hiii,” Nancy giggles, looping her arms tighter around his neck to hold herself upright. It should seem flirty, but it doesn’t, somehow. Feels more like… sisterly concern?
Feels fucking weird, is what.
“Hi,” he says a little stiffly, his arms hovering in a loose bracket on either side of her in case she topples. He feels a little bad for being standoffish when she's in a sweet and friendly mood; doesn't want to be a buzzkill, but he doesn't exactly know what to do with an armful of happy-go-lucky hammered Nance.
Never did, really, because he couldn’t ever tell when it was genuine or not. Which was kinda the whole problem, wasn’t it?
Nancy pokes at the edge of the frown he didn't realize he was making. "Aw, don't..." she mumbles with a wounded little sound, her eyes sliding over his face, head bobbling like she's standing on the deck of a ship. “Or do," she hiccups and swallows a burp. Her lower lip trembles. "I prob'ly deser— deserve it."
Steve sighs and runs a hand through his hair. He would've killed for this conversation twelve months ago; would've killed to hear it sober and asking for him back.
Now he mostly feels bad for making her feel bad, even though she’s not exactly wrong. Maybe she did deserve it, once. But not here; not now. “No, you don’t,” he sighs and lets his arm skim her waist. “You don’t. You should be enjoying the party, I’m sorry.”
She protests with an almost violent shake of her head. “No,” she insists, overenunciating the word. “No. I do. I was…"
She straightens her spine and stares at him like she's trying to bore a hole through his head; like this is important. Like there's a cut on her hand and gasoline in the carpet. "I was bullshit.” She jabs her pointer finger against her breastbone. “I was.”
Steve blinks at her. Feels tears bead in his eyes and slither into his sinuses. Gently, he reaches out and pushes down on the back of her hand; guides it away from her chest until it falls back to her lap.
“Think maybe we both were,” he offers with a quiet sniff. Takes a second to just breathe, sharp and wet through his nose. “Thank you, though. For saying that. Means a lot.”
Her eyes still look sad, but the corners of her mouth lift in a small, hopeful tick. “It does?”
“Yeah.”
Across the room, someone clambers onto a kitchen counter and hollers, "Hey! Listen up!"
The music pauses; the moment breaks. The crowd turns to the guy, who cups his hands around his mouth and announces, “Fifteen minutes to midnight! Find your make-out buddy, folks!"
Commotion as everyone scrambles to pair up: Nancy looks at Jonathan and stumbles off Steve’s lap; Gareth stares forlornly at a girl over by the stairs; Frank purses his lips and tells Jeff to start puckerin’, princess, and Jeff laughs and shoves him with a playful "fuck off, dude."
Eddie’s only got eyes for Steve.
He’s staring right at him, eyes lit up with desire; twinkling stars in deep woods. “Get a refill with me?” he asks as he offers Steve a hand.
Steve stands and does his best not to sway into Eddie’s arms.
“Oh, my god," Robin mutters over the rim of her cup, "so we’re not seeing you two again tonight."
“What was that?” Steve asks. Eddie sticks his tongue out at her.
“Nothing, dinguses,” she sighs. “Happy new year.”
Steve wishes her the same, reaching out to link their pinkies and giving hers a quick squeeze. Pinky hug; love you, too. As he and Eddie shuffle past, Steve sees Argyle turn to Robin and casually try to shoot his shot.
“Hey, pretty bird lady…” he starts.
Oh, Jesus Christ.
Robin responds by making crazy eyes and bleating out a nervous laugh that roughly translates to sorry sorry sorry sorry and never in a million years; Steve's tempted to lean over and clap a hand over her mouth to put her out of her gay misery, but Argyle's the most chill dude on the planet, apparently, because he doesn't even seem fazed.
“No sweat, my guy,” he shrugs and extends a closed hand. “Midnight fist bump instead?”

PHOTOGRAPH “we keep this love in a photograph.” carl grimes x fem!reader
tags: angst, death, use of y/n, 8x9, some fluff
a/n: first angst, i was bawling my eyes out while writing this 😓. based off photograph by ed sheeran, lyrics r in italics. i hope ygs enjoy!!
loving can hurt sometimes. you never really understood how much until now.
FLASHBACK.
“we should do something.” carl says, fiddling with your promise ring which he got you. he saw it while on a run and thought it was pretty, “pretty items for a pretty girl.” he thought. you were sitting criss cross applesauce in front of him, him doing the same. both of his hands were interlinked with yours, giving light squeezes. “and what’s that?” you ask. “we should take a photo. you know for the future.” “for the future?” “like to show our kids.” you wanted to kiss him until you couldn’t breathe. did he really just say that? did he mean it? this boy would be the death of you.
“wait okay so- i just do a random pose?” you say, looking at the camera carl held in his hand. “up to you baby.” he never failed to make you feel special. you were so in love, and you knew he was too. “m’ ready!” “sweet.” he angles the camera to fit you both into the frame before you press your lips onto his cheek. his lips curve up into a smile before you hear the click sound from the camera.
carl held the photo of you both in his hand, examining every part of it. mostly examining you. the way your hair fell perfectly upon your face, the way your lips looked perfect on his skin. god, he just knew he was going to make you his wife one day. you giggled at the light kiss stain you left on his cheek.
PRESENT TIME.
you held the necklace you got when you were fifteen, heavy tears flowing down your face at a rapid pace.
FLASHBACK.
“carl.. you didn’t.” you say, looking at the beautiful silver heart locket in the small black box carl handed to you. “you like it?” he says, grinning from ear to ear. “i love it. i- you didn’t have to.” you say, your eyes getting mistier by the second. “don’t cry pretty girl.” he says, putting his hand on your cheek. “i love you so much carl.” “i love you more.”
PRESENT TIME.
holding him closer til’ our eyes meet. did it have to end like this?
FLASHBACK.
“carl you can’t leave me like this. i wo- i won’t allow it. this isn’t fucking fair.” you say, hitting carl’s chest softly. you were so angry, and sad, you didn’t know how to feel. “y/n you’ll be fine. i know you will. you’re a strong girl. it’ll b-“
“what about- what about the plans we made? who am i supposed to talk to late at night when i have nightmares? w-who am i supposed to cry about stupid things to? carl i can’t do this without you.” you started to choke on your words, the realization hitting deeper and deeper that you would never get to see, to talk to, to hold, to kiss, to love carl grimes ever again.
carl pulls you into his chest for one last hug. you embraced him tightly, trying to make the best of it while it lasted. he then cupped your face and pressed his forehead onto yours. “my girl, my y/n, i love you.”
PRESENT TIME.
you kept his last words deep within your soul. your hands quivered as you slowly opened the piece of paper which carl left for you. your heart stopped when you saw his handwriting. all of his words written on the paper. you wished it could’ve lasted longer. you wished you had more time with him.
“my dearest y/n. i remember when we first met. you looked so scared. you were always quiet, always alone. i felt so bad for you. i would always admire from afar, watching the wind blow through your hair. you were so pretty. i don’t know how i ended up having you as my girlfriend, but it’s the best thing i could’ve ever experienced.
i know you’re sad. i know you’re angry. i’m frustrated too. i meant it when i said i wanted to show the photos to our kids. i meant it every single time i said i love you. because i am truly in love with you. every part of you. and nothing will ever change that. in another lifetime we will reunite once again. i will always be with you. don’t ever be scared. we keep this love in a photograph. we made all of these memories for ourselves.
so you can keep me, hidden in the pocket of your ripped jeans. you won’t ever be alone. wait for me to come home.”
you look at the photo which fell to the floor while you were reading the letter. quiet laughs mixed with sobs come out of your mouth when you remember that day. forever you will have this memory. captured in a photograph.

BABBBYYYYYY OMG I HAVE A HEADCANNON!
Okay so imagine Clarisse is like eating with her sibilants and so is like every one else. But then like you hear like yelling and shouting and it’s her gfn and her gfns sister arguing over whatever. What do you think Clarisse would do?
ok i’m sorry… i think you mean that y/n is fighting w her sibling right??? i think so i’m going w that ANYWAYSSSSSSS
i don’t feel like fleshing out an actual argument so OOHHHH your bitchy sister told a secret of yours to everyone 😱😱😱😱
this is so me that one time my friend started saying shit and then i tried to fight her from across the lunch table screaming LET GO OF ME IM GONNA RIP HER FUCKING HAIR OUT (they did not let go of me… very sad 💔)
but basically there’s two ways i feel this could go
if you’re actually physically fighting her then similar to Don’t Delete The Kisses she’s probably just gonna stand up and watch you bc all those training sessions that you have w her were not just to flirt!!!!!! or feel up on you!!!!! it mostly was but shush!!!!!!!
so if you’re winning she doesn’t care but eventually when you start actually hurting her or she feels it’s escalating then she’ll drag you away from the fight like she’ll pick you up if she has to even though you’re kicking and screaming
she’ll take you back to her cabin and then be like “you did such a great job baby i’m so proud except just make sure not to reveal your side when you swing-”
and if you got any injuries then she’ll clean them up for you, definitely give you a few kisses for being just so so brave!
and if you get hurt…. do i even have to elaborate?? i don’t think i do but i will 😍
EXCEPT PLOT TWIST she really don’t care about some random girl who’s only defense was to pull your hair really hard or slap you 😭😭
she just doesn’t like to see you hurt 💔 however small 💔 so she’ll probably AGAIN just drag you away even if you want to keep fighting “LET ME AT HER” “NO DUMBASS YOURE HURT” “SHE JUST SCRATCHED ME ILL BE FINE” “I. DONT. CARE.”
and then if you’re just like arguing verbally she agrees w whatever you’re saying. even if you’re advocating murder ok she’ll murder someone for you no big deal 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ like why you even talking abt it w some random girl…? all you gotta do it ask trust 🙏
even if it’s super petty
“YES MAC N CHEESE IS THE BEST FOOD” “NO THE FUCK IT IS NOT-”
“YES BABY!!!!! SO TRUE!!!!!! GET EM FR!!!!!!!”

Excessive Force : Tom Ludlow x Fem Nurse Reader (COLLAB W/ THE INCREDIBLE @johnwickb1tsch) - Chapter One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Ten Eleven Twelve Thirteen Fourteen Fifteen Sixteen Seventeen Eighteen Nineteen
TW: noncon, angst, trauma, PTSD, don’t read this if you like hot doctors named Julian (he was probably an actual sweetheart in canon, but we decided to flip that around in this, so read with that in mind)
You really should have foreseen it, before letting yourself hang out alone in the breakroom. But you are tired–exhausted, actually, and you can only blame so much on the work at hand.
Tom fucking Ludlow.
You find yourself grinning like an idiot at your sandwich–which is exactly how Dr. Julian Mercer finds you, of course. You don’t even fucking hear him approach. He just appears at your side like a ghost, and you nearly jump out of your skin as he says in a low voice, “Y/n.”
“Jesus Christ,” you wheeze, clutching your chest. “Julian…”
“Maybe Doctor would be more appropriate.” It probably would, but you’re not sure if he’s asking for this out of the cold indifference his tone suggests–or that other little extra meaning it has for the two of you.
“Okay, Doctor Mercer. Creep around like a fucking ghost much?”
“No. You were just distracted.”
You blow air between your teeth. You really don’t want to fight with this man right now, but it feels like he’s spoiling for something. “What do you want?”
He takes your hands in his, running gentle fingers over marks on your wrists that have now mostly faded. You hate to admit it–but this careful, questing touch sends a thrill across your skin. “The animal,” he growls under his breath. “Clearly no clue as to what he was doing.”
Hoo boy, was he wrong about that.
“Did you have a safeword at least?”
“No…?”
“Fucking amateur.”
You don’t know how to tell him, that rendering sex absolutely clinical with boundaries and safewords beforehand just doesn’t do it for you. You just…trusted Tom not to hurt you. And he didn’t.
“Julian…”
“Doctor.”
“Yeah, that. What do you think you’re doing?” You try to pull your hands away, but he holds on, just firm enough to keep you. Despite what Tom likes to taunt, Julian is not little, or weak.
The look in his eyes is that of a man drowning.
“Losing my mind?”
“You are being ridiculous. You have got to let it go.”
“I’m trying, but I can’t stop thinking about you.”
This is absurd. Men do not lose their shit over you. They use you, then throw you away at their first convenience. You give a fat sigh that you hope conveys your annoyance.
“Julian, have you seen the women that walk around this hospital? Better, Have you seen the women in your BDSM club? Have you never thought of trying one of those girls out? I mean, they are into the same stuff.”
His thumb presses on the dark marks the belt left on your wrist, making a little diffuse ache light your skin. “You are clearly into BDSM, y/n. Just the unsafe way of doing it, I suppose.”
Okay, now he’s just plain pissing you off. Once again, a man insinuating that you’re too stupid and naive to advocate for yourself. Too weak to take initiative, too gullible to know that you have to. You wrench your hand back from him, and he glares after it like it called him a dirty name. “Are you kidding me?” You say, not hiding the bite of your words, “and setting people on fire is just so safe, right? Whipping someone’s feet is the safest thing you can do in sex, yep, boy howdy, you’re absolutely right, Julian. How stupid of me.”
Your aim is to hurt him with your words, although now you’re regretting it when he looks back at you with those big, brown, sad orbs. Fuck, you can just never win with this man and his multiple personalities. He runs a hand through his hair. “You’re with him, then?”
“I’m…” you take a breath and try to step outside of yourself for a minute and view the situation objectively, just like you learned to do in therapy, and what you’re seeing is a misguided man who doesn’t know he can bag any freaky woman he wants become overly attached to you because he was vulnerable with you that one time. “I’m not.” How do you word it without sounding pathetic? “I’m not that great of a catch. I promise you there is a much better person out there for you.”
“I don’t think so,” he says quietly, intensely, sending a shudder through you that freezes and burns all at once. “Do you love him?”
“What?” You ask incredulously. “I just met him.”
“Well, then, I still have a chance.”
Your fist clenches unconsciously, ready for a fight. Maybe a metaphorical fight, but a fight nonetheless. “No,” you tell him, swallowing your nice, “you don’t, Julian.”
“What if…I promised not to punish you?”
This does make you pause, and you swear, not because you’re actually considering it, but because you are surprised he would even think to compromise his needs, for you.
It’s a heady feeling, if not entirely misplaced.
“No,” you answer, much too late. “No, no, nope.”
“I can see you’re intrigued.”
“No, I’m…flabbergasted. It wouldn’t be any fun for you.”
He looks you up and down, blatantly checking you out. You swear you will never get used to that look in a man’s eyes, trained on you. “I wouldn’t say that.” Then his attention turns back to your wrists, tracing the marks Tom’s belt left again with fascination. “Just let me…do this to you. God, the things I would do to you.” He inches closer as he says this, until before you know it you are standing nearly chest to chest, and your heart is beating at a mile a minute.
You have to try twice, before you find your voice. “That’s exactly what scares me about you, Julian.”
He dares to touch you, turning your face up to his with his palm on your jaw. “That you might like it, y/n?”
You take a deep breath, and you step back, away from Julian. Away from your sandwich too, unfortunately. But you guess you’re going to have to write it off. Or circle back later. You have no further clever quips to offer Dr. Julian Mercer. For lack of a better word–you flee.
At the nurses’ station a bright and cheery reminder of someone else’s devotion awaits you. A happy bouquet of sunflowers, with a simple card that reads, Dorothy, Thinking about you. Glad you’re not in Kansas anymore -T It is just the boost to morale you need, after your chilling little interlude with Julian.
However, you don’t get to take them home. They disappear while you are working, and you think you know who is to blame for the childish act of revenge. Rather than letting it drop, you decide to prove to Julian that you have boundaries and he can’t just push you around like this.
You catch him as he’s about to get into his car, and get Deja Vu from the scenario. The parking garage isn’t well lit, empty of other humans, and damp with oppressive LA heat. Maybe it’s not the best place to confront a man, but you never claimed to be a complete genius. And, now that you’re here…
“Julian, do you know where my sunflowers went? From the desk? Tom got them for me.”
He looks down at you with dark eyes. “Fresh flowers are a health code violation. I had to dispose of them.”
And you thought Tom could make you livid; Julian is here proving that he can spike your anger from a two to a ten in one simple sentence. “And what about the flowers you got me that stayed at the desk? Huh? Those were fine, right?”
He shrugs. “No.”
“So, what the fuck?” You’re raising your voice, feeling the heat of anger singing through the blood in your body like a vengeful choir. Your fist clenches to actually punch him—God, you want to.
“I’ll buy you more flowers,” he says, as if that’s going to fix the problem.
“I don’t want your flowers,” you growl, “I don’t want you, Julian!”
Before you know what’s happening, he has you gripped up in his hands and pressed against the door of his car, mouth on your own, bullying inside to suck and bite and bruise. You try to push and kick and thrash against him, but his long body is pressed firmly into yours, holding you steady against warm metal. His blunt fingers dig into the flesh of your upper arms and make you gasp, which allows him further entrance into your mouth.
You can’t fucking breathe with him latched onto you like this, and your frantic hands reach to tear at his scrubs, his belt, his skin. He pulls away, blessedly, panting and wild eyed, and you immediately start in on him. “Get the fuck off me, Julian.” You writhe in short, shallow breaths, lungs crushed by his heavy torso and unable to entirely fill.
“This is what you want,” he says, ignoring your demand. “You want someone to take advantage of you. Make you, force you. And if that’s what you need, that’s what I can give.”
“I don’t want that,” you reply. “I want the opposite of that! Get off me! I will scream.”
His mouth edges into a terrifying smile. “You think anyone’s going to hear you?” He asks, looking around the empty parking garage. “You think anyone’s going to save you if I decide to take you home for a few days and do terrible things to you?” He grabs your chin, fingers spanning the entire bottom, reminding you of the size difference and making you whimper in pain. He presses his lips against the shell of your ear. “Make you regret having nerve endings…”
Your whole body is shaking violently with adrenalized fear. Sweet Doctor Julian is a fucking wolf in sheep’s clothing, and he’s hungry for your flesh and blood. You should have known. You should have seen this coming. Shouldn’t you be an expert on narcissists and abusers by now? Shouldn’t you have been smarter? Shouldn’t you do the smart thing now and convince him to let you go?
“Please, Julian.” Disgust bubbles in your gut, reacting vehemently to the pathetic, pleading voice that leaves your mouth. “Please don’t.”
He pulls your chin up a little higher. “You can beg prettier than that.”
“Please, Doctor.” You swallow the raging hatred you have for yourself. “Please don’t hurt me. I’ll be a good girl.”
He hums and kisses you temple, lips ghosting into your hairline as he inhales your shampoo choice. “You’re lucky I don’t put you on your knees right here and make you choke on my cock for a while, pumpkin.”
“Please.” You give him your best impression of a beaten dog with wide, owl eyes, hoping you can somehow get out of this without actually getting hurt. All you can think of is Tom; how you wish he was here to beat the fuck out of Julian, how you should have let him beat the fuck out of Julian on your doorstep.
His hand moves down, pressing softly into the front of your throat, just enough to make it uncomfortable. “It’s refreshing to see something so wild become so tame with fear.” Fear is an understatement. Pure panicking terror is what consumes you. Bred from C-PTSD and Julian’s heavy, big hand on your throat. You’ve been here before, small and terrified under a man with power… And, suddenly, you’re her again, that little girl trembling and cowering and cornered. You don’t know that you’re crying until a little tear tickles down your cheek.
He kisses that saltwater trail, peeks his tongue out to taste your sad desperation and shivers against you. “You taste delicious.”
Fucking Hannibal Lector, Psycho, serial killer. How did you not see it? How?
It occurs to you that Tom saw it, saw straight through the mask, to the beast beneath Julian Mercer’s carefully constructed facade, all along. He’d warned you, but like the stubborn little idiot you are, you didn’t listen.
Tom. Somehow it’s the thought of him, how he looks at you like you are precious, like you’re not stupid, like you are something worth saving, that breaks your thought pattern, your desire to just freeze and hope this man with his hand on your throat isn’t going to hurt you, hope that the bad thing goes away if you’re still enough, small enough, don’t draw attention to yourself. You think on what Tom would have you do.
You hear Ludlow’s voice, plain as day, cutting through the fear: c’mon, you have just enough room to fuck him up.
You drive your knee as absolutely hard as you can into Dr. Julian Mercer’s gonads.
The good doctor crumbles with a groan that sounds like his soul leaving his body.
You run. On your shaking legs as fast as you can to your car, barely able to unlock the door with your trembling hands trying to manipulate your keys in the lock. You feel like you’re in a horror film. Instead of being the one yelling at the screen, Don’t run up the stairs, stupid!—you are the stupid girl, and you have so much sympathy for the girl being chased by the Big Bad with a knife and having no idea what to do with your hands.
No. You are not dying today. You are not letting this monster win today. You are not fodder. You are Final Girl material, goddammit. Maybe you never believed it before, but Tom’s voice is still in your head. You can hear him ordering you what to do. Put in your key. Twist. Open. Get in. Lock the door.
You manage all this somehow, just before Juian slams against your window, his face a mask of fury. “Open the door, y/n.”
Maybe still channeling Tom, and maybe acting completely on your own now, you press your middle finger against the window for him before starting your engine and peeling away. He barely manages to stumble back in time to save his toes from getting crushed by your racing tires.

You poke at your food, focusing on the sound your fork makes as it scrapes against your plate instead of whatever the person sitting across from you is saying. You know you should pay attention; you know you’re being rude, but god, are you bored out of your fucking mind. You would much rather be hanging out with Suguru right now, feeling a twinge of regret at turning him down just for this.
“Y/N?”
Your head raises to look at the person in front of you. “Huh?”
They laugh nervously. “Did you hear anything I just said?”
You frown sheepishly. “Uh, no, sorry.”
“It’s fine,“ they say, clearing their throat, “I was just saying how I kinda wish we went somewhere else cause I'm craving zaru soba, but I wanted to impress you, you know?”
You nod, not computing the last of his sentence with your brain stuck on the mention of zaru soba. “Suguru likes that.”
“What?”
“Zaru soba—Suguru likes that.”
Your date shoots you a confused stare, and you subconsciously sink into your chair.
“Is, uh, is there something on my face or?” you ask, bringing your hands up to feel around your face.
They shake their head. “No, it’s just—uh, you bring up this Suguru guy a lot, and by a lot, I mean like you’ve brought him up this whole date...”
“I have?”
They nod.
“Shit—i’m sorry..”
“It’s fine.” They dismiss your apology by asking, “What is he to you anyway?”
You stare at him blankly. That’s an easy question. Suguru, to you, is your—he’s your—
“He your friend or something?”
Yes! Suguru is your friend—your best friend even—so why can't you say it out loud? Why are you hesitating?
You laugh nervously, mumbling, “Or something...”
“Or something?” they repeat in hopes you’ll elaborate on what you mean.
You don’t.
Instead, you stand abruptly out of your seat and gather your things. “Um! You know, this has been really great and all, but I actually think I should get going.”
"Oh, okay,” they say, standing up with you. “Uh, do you wanna do this again maybe?”
“You're a lovely person, but...
“It's Suguru, isn't it?”
“What?” You almost choke on your spit as you frantically stammer, “No, uh, no! It's not Suguru-Suguru’s just my-it's-“ you pause for a moment, taking a deep breath to calm yourself down. “It's not because of him.”
They curtly hum. “Thanks for giving me a chance anyway.”
You nod. “I'm gonna—I'm gonna go.”
☆☆☆☆
Suguru is face down on a pillow on his bed when Gojo walks into their shared dorm.
“What happened now?” He asks as he goes to sit on the edge of Suguru’s bed.
“Y/N’s on a date,” he grumbles into the pillow, his words barely audible.
Gojo rolls his eyes. "Suguru, this is just sad at this point.”
Suguru lifts his head and glares at Gojo from over his shoulder. His eyes burning holes into the other's head.
“What? It is!”
Suguru groans and kicks Gojo as he buries his face back into his pillow.
“Ow! Don’t get mad at me for telling the truth!”
Suguru kicks him again.
“Stop that! You’re acting like a child!”
“You’re one to talk.”
“Ok, listen, this isn’t about me,” Gojo adds, rolling his eyes.
Suguru rolls onto his back and drapes an arm over his face, muttering, “Whatever.”
“Oh my fucking god,” Gojo grumbles as he stands up and walks over to his own bed. “I can't take this, Suguru.“ He grabs his pillow and throws it at Suguru. "You can't do this every time they go on a date!”
Suguru doesn’t even flinch when the pillow lands on his face, nor does he bother moving it as he responds, “Watch me.”
Gojo walks back over to Suguru and grabs the pillow from his face before resuming his position on the end of Suguru's bed. "How long has it been?”
“Since?”
“Since you first started liking them.”
Suguru hesitates to answer, “Too long.”
“Exactly!” Gojo exclaims, shaking the pillow in his hands for dramatic effect. “Maybe…”
Suguru waits a moment to see if Gojo will finish his sentence, and when he doesn’t, Suguru sits up, quirking up his eyebrow at him as he asks slowly, as if attempting to subtly warn Gojo to pick his next words carefully: "Maybe what, Gojo?”
“Maybe it’s time to try and move on, Suguru…” He frowns and asks softly, “Are you just gonna torture yourself like this for the rest of your life?”
Suguru sighs and turns away from Gojo, a small frown on his face. He knows he’s right, but he’s scared in all honesty because, on the one hand, what if it works? What if he actually does move on? What if it was this easy to move on this whole time and he was just here torturing himself for nothing? And on the other hand, he doesn't want it to. He’s liked you for so long. You've taken up so much of his heart that, at this point, he thinks his heart is shaped like you, and it would feel wrong to not like you. He can't imagine himself not being completely and utterly devoted to you, and he doesn’t think he wants to.
“Suguru.”
Suguru's brows knit together as he looks up at Gojo.
Gojo sighs. “Just try? One date. That’s all I’m asking.”
Suguru rolls his eyes, but there’s no real malice behind it. “I don’t even know anybody, Gojo.”
He perks up at the absence of rejection and happily explains, “Don’t worry bout that; leave it all up to me!" He emphasizes the word 'me' by pointing toward himself.
“Ok, well, that makes me even more inclined to say no.”
"Suguru, pleaseee,” Gojo begs. “Just one date!! That’s all I’m asking! You’re my friend, Suguru, and I know I don’t act like it, but I really do hate seeing you like this.”
Suguru crosses his arms and raises his eyebrow at him in suspicion, wondering, “Why are you being nice?”
“Because, contrary to popular belief, I do in fact care about my friends.”
Suguru breathes out heavily at his response, letting a brief silence wash over them.
“So..." Gojo pries.
“Fine.”
“Yay!-“
Suguru instantly cuts him off, one finger raised, as he emphasizes sharply, “But just one date, Gojo.“
“Good enough for me!” he says, nodding quickly. “This will be the best date of your life, and you’ll realize you don’t even like Y/N all that much!”
Suguru feels like the wind’s been knocked out of him from that statement but quickly plays it off with a scoff, “Yeah, or it’s the worst date of my life, and I realize just how much more I like Y/N.”
“Ok, well,“ Gojo frowns and scratches his head awkwardly, “Can we at least try to be optimistic?”
“Fine.”
☆☆☆☆
Shoko’s sitting on her bed with her textbook in her lap when you enter your dorm, kicking your shoes off haphazardly across the room and slamming the door shut.
“You good?”
You groan in response as you sluggishly make your way toward her, pushing the book off her lap and instead replacing it with your head.
She looks down at you with a raised eyebrow. “I was reading that, you know.”
You groan again, but this time it comes out louder and more gutteral.
“Are you gonna tell me what's wrong, or are you gonna just lay here in my lap groaning?” she asks, rolling her eyes.
You pout, looking up at her. “Is there something wrong with me?”
“Where should I start?”
“Shoko,” you whine.
She bites back a smile as she asks, “Why would you think something's wrong with you?”
“I don’t know,” you mutter. “I mean, I go on so many dates, right?”
Shoko nods and hums something in acknowledgment.
“But they all never end up working out! Like none of them!” You exclaim, throwing your hands out in front of you, barely missing Shoko, who jerks her head to the side just in time. “They always all say the same thing.”
She pushes your hands back down so that she can return to her original position and asks, “Which is?”
You let your hands fall onto your chest as you turned your head to the side to avoid her gaze, mumbling, “That I mention Suguru a lot.”
You don’t even have to look back up at her to know she’s raising her eyebrows at you in question.
“Well, do you?”
Your gaze snaps back up at her as you exclaim, “Yeah, but!” You pause. “He's my… He's my best friend, so obviously I'd mention him a lot!”
The word best friend feels heavy and foreign in your mouth, like it shouldn’t have been there in the first place. You’ve never had to put a label on you and Suguru, not until the dates at least, but even then, you and Suguru were just... simply that. You were just you and Suguru.
“Really feeling the love here.”
“Shokoooooo.”
She rolls her eyes. “You were just on a date, right?”
You nod.
“And so what happened?”
“Nothing! I was bored; I'm always bored on these dates.”
"Okay, hypothetically,” she says, “What would you have rather been doing?”
“Hanging out with Suguru! I always tell myself that I'm literally gonna stop canceling on him for dates because I always end up regretting it.”
“Right, right,” she says, nodding. “Y/N, have you ever considered that maybe you like Geto?”
You roll your eyes. “Of course I like Suguru, idiot. Did you not just hear me call him my-“
She cuts you off: “Your best friend. Yeah, whatever; that's not what I mean. I mean, like. romantically.”
“Huh?” Shoko’s words take a minute to fully register in your brain, but once they do, your jaw drops. “Huh?! Pft, no, of course not, that is... That is a… That is a silly thought.”
She stares down at you blankly, knowing the way you just stumbled over your whole sentence reveals your lack of conviction in your own words. "Right… Well, if you’re gonna be an idiot in denial, can you do that in your own bed? I need to study.”
You roll your eyes as you sit up. “Is studying all you do?”
She shrugs, and now that her lap is free from you, she places her textbook back into her lap. “Is obsessing over Geto all you do?”
“I don't like you.”
“You love me. Now leave me alone.”
You begrudgingly hop off her bed and into your own, making it a point to sigh dramatically the whole time. Once you're in your own bed, your phone goes off, and upon seeing who the message is from, you bite back a smile.
Shoko looks up from her textbook at the noise. “Oh? That your man?”
“Shut your mouth.”
She simply laughs under her breath before returning to her studies, and you happily return your attention back to your phone.
Suguru<3: hey
Y/N: hey!
Suguru<3: oh I didn't expect you to reply so quick lol. I thought u were on a date?
Y/N: was :/ that shit suckedddddd it was so boring Suguru pls I would've much rather hung out with you
Suguru<3: well I mean u could've
Y/N: I KNOWWWW ugh next time remind me to never cancel on you for a lame date again k?
Suguru<3: yeah I will… so I'm taking it you won't be seeing them again?

You groan dramatically and throw your phone somewhere onto your bed as you shove your face into your pillow, mumbling, “I'm going to sleep.”
“Eager to see your man tomorrow?”
“Die.”

Gojo and Suguru are walking to class when Gojo starts humming obnoxiously, like he’s thinking about something and wants someone to notice, so he doesn’t stop until Suguru sighs.
“Can you shut up?”
Gojo frowns and feigns hurt. “Aren’t you gonna ask me what I’m thinking about?”
“Fine, what are you thinking about, Gojo?”
Gojo slightly leans in toward Suguru as he coos, “Thinking about who I’m gonna set you up with, obviously!”
"Oh, right about that...”
“Nuh uh, you can't back out!”
“But I think they might feel the same?” Suguru says, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
Gojo’s head whips toward Suguru in shock. “Wait huh?”
“Before you stole my phone yesterday—which I’m still mad about, by the way—they said they would’ve rather hung out with me than go on the date,” he says, pulling out his phone to show Gojo the texts.
Gojo doesn’t say anything, and the lack of anything coming out of his mouth worries Suguru, who’s now scanning Gojo’s face for a trace of anything to tell him what the other is thinking and gets it when Gojo finally cracks a frown.
“What? Why do you look like that?” Suguru asks, and he hates how it comes out more panicked than he intended, his own voice like nails on a chalkboard to his ears.
“I don't wanna say anything that would get your hopes up,” Gojo says, his gaze now fixed on his steps. “And besides, maybe this date could still be good.”
“You’re not gonna let me get out of this, are you?”
“Of course not!” he says, his regular pep back in his step. “So does tomorrow work for you?”
“Yeah, whatever, Gojo, you’d make me go regardless, I don’t know why you ask.”
“Lol, true anyway." Gojo’s steps come to a halt. "Here’s my class; see you later!”
Suguru waves him off: "Yeah, whatever, oh, and Gojo?”
“Hm?”
“At least set me up with someone good," he says, an ever-so-slight smile on his face.
“Of course! Leave it all up to me, bestie!”
Suguru nods and continues on toward his own class, only then does he huff, “Yeah, I don’t know if that’s a good idea.”
☆☆☆☆
You sat in your seat, your cheek leaning in your palm, sighing every so often from boredom but quickly perking up when you notice a familiar face walk through the door.
“Suguru!”
“Y/N!”
Your gaze is glued to him as you watch him take his seat beside you; only once he’s fully situated do you speak up again: “I was wondering if you were skipping or something.”
Suguru tilts his head at you in confusion, asking, “Why?”
“Because you took so long.”
He tries to ignore the heat rising to his cheeks. “Did you miss me that much?”
“Shut up. What were you doing anyway?”
Suguru rolls his eyes. “Gojo made me walk him to class.”
You raise an eyebrow at him, your voice unamused as you speak, “Lame excuse, I walk with Shoko to her class every day and I still get here before you.”
“Yeah, that’s cause it’s Shoko?”
“True, I’ll excuse it for today if...”
“If?” He narrows his eyes at you, urging you to continue your sentence.
“If we hang out tomorrow?”
“Can we hang out today?” He looks away as he says, “I’m kinda busy tomorrow....”
“Aw man,” you say, frowning, “You’re never busy.”
“I know, sorry, it’s just—" He halts before mumbling out the rest of his sentence—“something Gojo’s making me do.”
Suguru finally returns his gaze to you when he hears you huff.
“He’s taking you from me too often; I'll have to intervene sooner or later if he keeps this up.”
He stifles a laugh. “Can you not today?”
“Nope, I've gotta work on a project for one of my classes,” you say with a disappointed sigh.
“Okay, well, how about Wednesday, then?”
“I can fit you into my schedule, I suppose.”
“Oh shut up; don’t act like you weren’t the one asking me to hang out last night.”
“I was a different person then,” you deadpan.
Suguru rolls his eyes but can’t even try to hide the grin on his face. “Yeah, ok.”
☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。
Come the next afternoon, Suguru finds himself staring into a mirror at his outfit with a small scowl on his face.
“I look stupid.”
“You always look stupid,” Gojo remarks, patting Suguru on the back.
Suguru ignores him and rolls his eyes, his voice small as he borderline pleads, “Do I really have to go?”
“Yes! It’s too late to back out now when your date is in like twenty minutes, so really you should get going by now,” he says while attempting to push Suguru out the door.
Suguru doesn’t budge. “I don't even know this person, Gojo.”
“That’s what dates are for!”
Suguru looks over his shoulder at Gojo, who’s still trying to push him out the door. “You know this isn’t gonna work, right?”
Gojo rolls his eyes and huffs, “Well, not with that attitude.”
“Gojo.”
“Suguru, you said you’d try! so go! try!”
Suguru sighs and reluctantly gives in… again. “I hate you.”
Gojo waves him off, “Yeah, yeah, whatever you can hate me after your date.”
Suguru doesn’t reply and instead opts to flip him off as he walks out the door.
☆☆☆☆
Suguru sits at a secluded booth in a dimly lit restaurant, lost in thought rather than listening to whatever the person sitting across from him is saying. He knows he should be paying attention; he knows he’s being rude, but god is he bored out of his fucking mind, and to say he’s hating every second of this is an understatement. He’d much rather be hanging out with you right now, regretting turning you down for this because just being here makes a part of him feel like he’s betraying you, and the thought has him anxiously wiping his sweaty palms against his pants. He’s been in love with you since he first laid eyes on you. Suguru was naive to believe he could delude himself into thinking that there was any possibility in any way that he’d move on, let alone with someone Gojo picked.
“Suguru?”
He quickly looks up at the person in front of him. “Yeah?”
They laugh nervously. “Did you hear anything I just said?”
“No, sorry—I guess I was just, uh, lost in thought.”
"Oh, it’s fine,” they say, confusingly normal about the whole situation. “I was just, um, talking about your friend Gojo, actually.”
He blinks. “Why?”
“I was actually hoping you'd help me get with him?”
“You do realize you're on a date with me, right?”
“Please.” They roll their eyes. “Don't act like you wanna be here any more than I do right now.”
“How did-“
“It's written all over your face, you know? They must be really special.” They tease with a sweet smile, “I almost feel like I should be jealous.”
Suguru swallows harshly, suddenly feeling way more exposed than he would ever want to, especially on a ‘date’. “Sorry…”
They shrug. “Don't be; honestly, I just said yes to this to get some pointers on Gojo, so I don't think I'm any better than you right now.”
Suguru nods, his mind reeling. He’s not actually sure what’s going on or how he got here in the first place. How could his date be so okay with the fact that he’s here thinking about someone else? Oh, right, because so are they, but it’s still not clicking in his brain.
“You can leave if you want.”
He narrows his eyes at them skeptically. “Huh?”
“To go hang out with the one you actually like.”
Suguru shakes his head. There’s somehow too much happening right now for him to comprehend. “Again, what?”
They roll their eyes playfully, an amused smile on their face, as they lean over the table and whisper, “Suguru, I'm giving you an out.”
He blinks, and suddenly everything clicks, and he doesn’t understand why he’s still here when they just told him they could go to you. He stands up abruptly and says, “Right, I'm...“
“Don't say you're sorry; make it up to me by going to them, yeah?”
“I really appreciate that. Uhm, text me and I'll give you pointers on Gojo?”
They laugh and nod. “Yeah. Now, shoo, go to the one you actually want to be with.”
Suguru turns his head toward the exit of the restaurant, ready to leave, but pauses and ends up turning back to his ‘date’, a small smile on his face. “Thank you.”
“Mhm! Also, I want to meet them sometime, k? We’re friends now, sorry!”
“Yeah… Yeah, you can. Someday? Maybe…”
They tilt their head at him, unamused despite the smile on their face. “Bye Suguru.”
He returns the smile and waves before heading off to find you.
☆☆☆☆
You found yourself under a tree somewhere on campus, attempting—and failing—to entertain yourself since Suguru was busy and couldn't hang out, and you didn't even dare try to go to Shoko for entertainment, knowing her face is probably stuffed into her textbook and she would berate you for interrupting her, or if she did agree, she would spend the whole time with her whole face screaming how she would much rather be studying, even when her studying proves to be just for fun because she cheats on her exams anyway, but you digress. Lost in thought, you don't notice how someone’s approached you until their shadow falls over you.
“You dead?”
You look up and are pleasantly surprised to see Suguru. “Hey! I thought you were busy?”
Suguru shrugs. “Left early.”
“What’d you go do anyway?”
“A date.”
The minute the words leave Suguru’s mouth, you can feel your stomach churn in a horrible way. like you’re on a rollercoaster, but it's not fun; you want to get off, and you want to get off now, like this is final destination and you’re about to fall to your doom. Or more so, this makes you realize you've already fallen to your doom; you've already fallen in love with Suguru, and it took Shoko saying something and him going on a date for it to really sink in like it hadn't been there all along. Your jaw clenches, and you're quiet—terrifyingly quiet—and it makes Suguru regret saying anything; he doesn’t even know why he did... Okay, no, he knows. He knows he was acting petty and wanted to rub it in your face like you rub your dates in his, even if not purposeful, and besides, you two are friends, and friends are honest with each other. But maybe he shouldn’t have been, and it's excrutiatingly obvious he shouldn't have been when you suddenly stand up and avoid his gaze.
“Y/N?”
You kick at the dirt under your shoes and mumble, “I should, um, Shoko actually just texted me.”
“Y/N, can you look at me, please?” Suguru sounds desperate.
You look up at him and smile, but with the way your eyes are glazed over, it’s like you’re not even there. “Yeah?”
“I thought we could hang out now?”
“Yeah, but—ugh—Shoko really needs my help, you know?”
“Are we still on for tomorrow at least?”
“I hope your date was good, Suguru.”
“Y/N-“
“If I keep her waiting any longer, she’ll be really mad. I’m gonna go.”
☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。
Suguru wishes he could say he’s surprised when you don’t show up to class the next day, but he’s not. Not at all. Especially from the way you ran off yesterday to how you’re still not answering any of his texts or calls, it was a telltale sign that Suguru would not be seeing you today. That didn’t stop him from trying, though. Of course not. So halfway through class, he left—not like he was paying attention anyway—and made his way to your dorm. Though he hesitates to knock once he’s actually there, he doesn’t even know why you’re ignoring him in the first place, and honestly? He’s scared to find out.
You’ve never acted like this with him before; you’ve always been an open book, always the first to speak up if something he did upset you, so he doesn’t understand why you’ve suddenly done a complete 180. He takes a deep breath before knocking. He came all this way; he isn’t going to just leave without figuring out what's wrong—or at least he’s going to try to figure out what's wrong.
No answer.
He knocks again.
No answer.
Suguru groans as he goes to knock one more time, but before he can, the door is swung open, and he’s met with a disheveled-looking Shoko.
“What?”
“Shoko, hi—“ Suguru gives her a quick once-over. "Sorry, were you asleep?”
She crosses her arms and blows a tuft of hair out of her face. “I was, and I'd like to go back to sleep, so-“
“Right, sorry, uh, is Y/N here?”
“No,” she replies quickly, far too quickly that Suguru doesn't believe her and instead tries to look into the room to find you. Shoko immediately picks up on this and shifts her body to cover any gaps he could look through. “They aren’t here, sorry.”
“Shoko,” he monotones.
She chews the inside of her lip and looks away, and Suguru can tell she's dying to say something, but she ultimately decides against it and shakes her head, looking back up at him.
“They’re not here, sorry.”
Suguru sighs, running a hand through his hair. “It's fine, sorry for waking you.”
“It's fine… Take care of yourself, Geto.”
“Yeah. You too.”
Shoko quickly shuts the door, and instead of climbing back into bed, she grabs her pillow and makes her way toward your bed, only to end up hitting you with it repeatedly. You pull your covers over your head in a futile attempt to protect yourself.
“Shoko, stop!”
“You stop.” She punctuates every word with a hit of her pillow.
“You’re the one hitting me!”
Shoko hits you one last time. “I mean, stop ignoring him, idiot.”
You peek your head out from under the covers, a frown on your face.
“Don't look at me like that; you’re acting childish, and you know that.”
“I can’t look at him.”
“You’re dramatic.”
“Shoko, I'm serious!” You speak adamantly, sitting up. “I mean, I realize I like him the exact moment he tells me he went on a date?”
“Who’s fault is that?”
“Shoko, I-I can't.”
“Whatever, sulk all you want; don't talk to him about it; I don't care; just scoot over.”
Your face twists in confusion. “What?”
“I'm tired,” she says blankly, now climbing into your bed.
You listen and scoot over, though it's more like she pushes you over. “You know you have your own bed, right?”
She yawns: “Too far away.”
You look down at her, and she's somehow already fast asleep. You roll your eyes and lay back down, looking up at the ceiling with your mind racing, and suddenly your phone vibrates. You know who it is; he’s the only one who texts you, but that doesn’t stop you from checking anyway.
Suguru<3: hey.
Suguru<3: did I do something?
Suguru<3: I don't understand.
Suguru<3: you weren't in class so I tried going to ur dorm. shoko said you weren't there but I don't really believe her.
Suguru<3: can you just talk to me please?
Suguru<3: I miss you.
Suguru<3: guess this means we aren’t hanging out today huh?
Suguru<3: text me soon please.
☆☆☆☆
Thursday
Suguru<3: no class again?
Suguru<3: look I get it
Suguru<3: okay maybe I don't.
Suguru<3: I don't know what I did wrong but if you don't wanna talk that's fine
Suguru<3: can you just let me know you’re okay?
Suguru<3: fuck I don't even care if you have shoko tell me you’re okay or if you tell gojo I just
Suguru<3: I just need to know you’re okay y/n.
Suguru<3: how long are you gonna avoid me?
Suguru<3: or avoid class?
Suguru<3: I miss you.
“Can you answer your fucking phone,” Shoko snaps.
You glare at her and instead shut your phone off completely. “There. Happy?”
"No, not at all; I won't be happy till you stop sulking.”
You smile at her condescendingly. "You are so lovely; did you know that?”
She sighs deeply. “Y/N, you’re ignoring Geto because he went on one date.”
“I'm ignoring him because I'm in love with him.”
She narrows her eyes at you. “And he's supposed to know that how? I'm a hundred percent sure the poor boy has no clue what he did.”
“Shoko, you don't get it! You've never been in love,” you sneer.
“I don't need to be in love to know you're acting stupid.” She shakes her head. “You know what? Ignore him all you want; that's your problem, but you need to go to class; don't throw away your college degree for him.”
You sigh, finally agreeing with her on at least one thing. “Yeah... Yeah, I know I'll go tomorrow.”
She nods happily. “Good. Now can I get back to studying?”
“I'm not the one who made you stop, you took that upon yourself.”
“Watch yourself; I'll walk my ass straight to Geto's dorm and tell him for you.”
“…Sorry”
☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。*。☆。☆。
You get to class the next day extremely early and take a seat in the far back, away from everyone else, hoping Suguru would somehow not see you, or maybe more like in hopes you wouldn’t see him. It doesn't work. The minute he walks in, his eyes are drawn to yours like there was an invisible string there tying him directly to you, and your stomach twists as you see him approach you. As he’s approaching you, he sees your face, and he sees how you look like you're five seconds away from vomiting up everything you’ve ever eaten since you were born, so he stops in his tracks. Besides, a confrontation in the middle of class wouldn't be a good idea either way, so he’ll just catch you after class.
That somehow proves to be much harder than it should have been because once class ends and he turns around to catch you before you leave, you're already gone. He blinks incredulously at your empty seat for a moment before snapping out of it and running out into the halls, trying to find you among the crowd of people, which is easy for him considering you're the only thing that exists to Suguru right now and pretty much always, but even despite that, he can't find you. He stands in the hall, watching people pass him by as he does nothing, and the only thing he can hear is his heartbeat ringing in his ears and the rain that suddenly started sometime during all of this.
He finally snaps out of it once more and realizes that since it randomly started raining, there's a chance that you're somewhere waiting the rain out, unless you are so dead set on avoiding him that you don't care in the first place and walk back to your dorm in the rain anyway... Suguru hopes he's right as he starts walking toward the exit, and exhales heavily in relief when he sees you out on the porch and slowly creeps up behind you.
“Did you know it was gonna rain?”
You flinch at the sound of his voice. “No.”
Suguru’s heart feels like it's about to burst right out of his chest, and he feels like it's been way too long since he's heard your voice. “I think Gojo is gonna bring me an umbrella; do you wanna wait with me?”
“No.”
“No?”
You shake your head and start walking out into the rain, but you don't get far when Suguru reaches out and grabs your wrist.
“Wait!”
You look back at him, your jaw clenched tight. “Let go of me, Suguru.”
“You’ll get sick.”
You yank your wrist out of his grasp. “I don't care; I want to go back to my dorm.”
For a few moments, Suguru feels stuck in place as he watches you begin to walk away, yet everything in his being is screaming at him to go after you, to not let you go. He doesn’t even realize he was holding his breath this whole time until he gasps for air, and at the same time, his body finally decides to align with his mind, and he runs after you. You can hear his foot steps pattering against puddles, which only makes you speed up your walking.
Suguru notices this, and although he's still chasing after you, he decides to call out a pained, “Why are you ignoring me?”
You almost don't even hear him over how loud the rain has grown.
Almost.
“I'm not ignoring you, Suguru,” you say, stopping in your tracks with a deep sigh. He’ll catch you sooner or later, so maybe it's best to just get it over with.
Suguru doesn’t say anything until he's right behind you. You can hear just how clearly his voice trembles as he says, “Oh, so we’re lying now?”
“I'm no-“
“What the fuck happened? What are you doing?” and although he sounded exasperated only a second ago, when he speaks again, it's horrifyingly subdued: “This—this isn't us.”
You whip around to face him, a scowl on your face as you fume, “There is no us.”
Suguru’s face goes blank. No us? That's not right. That's all there is. There's only ever been an us because Suguru is not him without you. It's never just Suguru. It's you and Suguru; it's him and you; there's no him without you.
“What?”
“There is no us, Suguru; that's—“ you say, gesturing in little circles with your hands in front of you, trying to act out whatever word you're looking for. “That's the fucking problem.”
“I don't—“ His voice is breathy as he shakes his head in confusion. “What are you saying, Y/N?”
“You know what I'm saying.”
“No,” he says sternly, "No, I don't. I need to hear you say it.”
You take a deep breath and squeeze your eyes shut, focusing on the rain falling against your face rather than the words coming out of your mouth: “I'm in love with you.”
The silence is suffocating, and you're violently aware of how you can feel Suguru’s eyes burning holes into you. You swallow harshly before peeking your eyes open, and he’s just standing there wide-eyed, his jaw slack.
“Suguru?”
“Why now?”
With his voice so small and brittle, you hardly even heard him.
“Huh?”
“Why now?” he repeats, this time louder, harsher.
“I don't—I don't understand?”
Suguru laughs in disbelief. He brings his hands up to cover his face, and he just laughs into them or cries; he's not even quite sure anymore. And after a few moments of this, he finally takes a deep breath, running one hand down his face as the other drops back to his side. “Do you know how long I’ve been in love with you, Y/N?”
“What?” You’re hopeful for a moment, but that all comes quickly crashing down, realization washing over you. “Wait, but you went on a date.”
“Y/N, it's been so long that Gojo got tired of me wallowing in my own self-pity every time you went on a date.” He sighs and takes a moment to collect his thoughts. “So he forced me to go on one too to try and help me move on.”
“Why didn't you wait for me?”
“What?”
“You heard me.”
Suguru doesn't know whether to nod or shake his head. “No, I know, but I don't understand.”
Your face scrunches up in disdain, silently reading—what's there to not understand? “Why didn't you wait for me to fall in love with you?”
“Y/N, do you even hear what you're saying right now?” he scoffs. “Do you even hear what I'm saying? All I've ever fucking done was wait for you, and I go on one date that I left early for you, and now I'm the bad guy?”
Your heart sinks like a bag of rocks into a deep body of water. “No wait, Suguru, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry.”
Suguru looks down, avoiding your stare, carefully tapping a puddle with the tip of his shoe as he mumbles, “Yeah.”
“Do-“ you stop yourself and swallow harshly before continuing, “Are you still in love with me?”
He stays silent, and embarrassment floods your bones. How could he still love you? You, who's been subconsciously dangling a treat in front of him like some kind of animal just to coax him into doing what you want, into staying with you, following you around, just because you were too out of touch to realize you even liked him in the first place. Of course, he wouldn't still love you.
“Of course I am. Don't be silly,” he reluctantly admits.
Relief washes over you, and the breath you take feels like the first one you've taken since Tuesday, when he told you about his date in the first place. “So... now what?”
The same relief does not wash over Suguru; in fact, he's feeling anything but relief. Too many things to name, to pin point; it's just all too much. This is just too much. “I need space; I can't—" he shakes his head, his voice barely above a whisper, "I can't do this right now.”
“What?”
“I just. I can't. I'm sorry.”
Your voice cracks, “But-“
“I just need to think about this,” he says, waving his hands around in small circles, referencing the two of you.
“Oh.” You take a step back and nod. “Okay. I'll go then... I love you, Suguru.”
“Yeah,” he nods. “Yeah, I love you too.”
Suguru watches you walk away, and he can't tell his tears apart from the rain; can’t tell if his heart is stopping or if it's racing; can't tell if he's breathing or suffocating; he can't tell anything. His surroundings are drowning out and blurring into vague shapes and figures around him, and Suguru is sure he could just drop dead right then and there.
“Jeez, I didn't take that long that you had to walk out in the rain, dramatic much?”
Suguru, in all honesty, didn’t hear a word that was just said; the only thing that caught his attention was the lack of rain hitting him. He looks up to find an umbrella there instead of the dark cloudy sky that resembled his insides a little too much, then looks to his side to find Gojo there, and he wants to wipe the stupid grin off his face. If he can't be happy, why should Gojo? His head drops in defeat at his own thoughts. God, he’s acting shitty.
“Sorry.”
Gojo looks at him curiously. “You good?”
“No. No, I'm not good.”
"Hey dude, what's wrong?”
Suguru lets out a harsh laugh, and with no rain hitting him anymore, he knows for sure the thing dripping down his face is tears. “I fucked up.“
Gojo scans Suguru’s face frantically, looking for something—anything—that will tell him what's wrong with his best friend.
“Suguru, you have to be a little more specific than that.”
“Y/N loves me back.”
Gojo goes wide-eyed, and he gives a confused smile because how could this warrant his friend’s reaction? “What dude, that's gr-“
Suguru quickly cuts him off: "Great, I know, but I told them to give me space, Gojo.”
Frankly, Gojo isn't even worried anymore; he’s just in complete disbelief, shouting, “What? Why the hell would you do that?! Are you stupid?”
“Maybe!” he shouts back, trembling. “I don't know! They just— They went on about how I should've waited for them, and I was mad because that's all I've ever fucking done. I don't know; I wasn't thinking straight, and I fucked up, and they left. I made them leave. I asked for space when I hated all the space we've had from each other this whole week, and I asked for more?” He repeatedly hits his forehead with his palm, muttering, “I'm an idiot, fuck.“
“Suguru.”
“What?”
Gojo tilts his head at him. “Why are you still here?”
The question stills his movements, his hand falling back to his side, and he stares at Gojo in pure confusion. “What?”
“You obviously know that space isn't what you want, and you just said it in the heat of the moment, so why are you still here?”
Suguru is silent.
“Why aren't you running after them? They want you, dude! And you want them too!”
Suguru thinks if it weren’t for Gojo constantly moving, he'd think time had completely stopped in time with his realization on how he’s a complete moron.
“Suguru.”
Suguru sighs. “I hate when you're right; you know that?”
Gojo perks up knowing that he got through to Suguru; he coos sing-song, “If that were true, you'd hate me all the time.”
Suguru nods, “I do.”
“Oh, shut up." Gojo extends the handle of his umbrella toward Suguru. “Do you want my umbrella?”
“No, it’s fine; I’m already wet,” Suguru says, looking down at his soaked clothes as he wipes any remaining tears away. “What’s a little bit more water?”
“Good luck, Suguru.”
“Thanks Gojo.”
☆☆☆☆
You walk into your dorm slowly, in a daze-like state. Honestly, you don't even remember walking here; you just remember your fight? confession? argument? — your something with Suguru, and then there's a lapse in your memory, and now you're here.
“Y/N, dude, you're getting water everywhere.“
You sniffle and look down at the puddle that's forming underneath you. “Sorry.”
Shoko tentatively stands up from her bed and cranes her neck down to try and look at your face. “Y/N? Are you okay?”
You look up at her with a wobbly smile. “I confessed.”
She looks at you blankly, unsure if she should say something or if you are.
“He asked for space.”
“He likes you, and he asked for space?”
“I didn't tell you that—“
“It's obvious; keep up,” she says, rolling her eyes. “Anyways, so he asked for space?”
You nod blankly. “Uh huh.”
“Why?”
You rub your eyes in hopes that not looking at Shoko will make the embarrassment lessen. “I said some things in the heat of the moment, and... and yeah.”
It doesn’t.
She’s strangely unfazed; in fact, if anything, she’s partially annoyed. “Ok, and you’re just going to listen to him?”
“What else am I supposed to do, Shoko?” you ask incredulously, glaring at her with your hands back at your sides.
“Fight for him? He likes you back, and if you said something in the heat of the moment, odds are that him asking for space was also just in the heat of the moment.”
“You weren't there, Shoko. You didn't see how he was looking at me—at how he said it.”
“Y/N,” she says disappointedly, eyes shut and pinching her nose bridge. “He's literally been so upset at you ignoring him these past few days; do you really think he meant it when he asked for space? Even more space?”
You blink at her, your mind gone blank.
“Look, maybe he did, yeah? But maybe he didn't, and you won't know unless you go fight for him.”
“I don't know Shoko,” you mumble skeptically.
She rolls her eyes as she rebuts, "At the very least, you can apologize for what you said.”
“I already did.”
“Again, this time now that your head is… somewhat clearer... Are you really just gonna let him get away like this?”
“…no,” you answer weakly, which isn’t good enough for you or Shoko, who’s looking at you with her arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. “No,” you say again, this time with true conviction behind your words—word. “I don't want to let him get away like this. I don't want it to end like this.”
She gestures toward the door with a small, proud smile on her face. “Then go.”
You look back at the door before looking back at her and nodding. “Thank you, Shoko.”
“Uh huh,” she says, starting to walk back toward her bed, “and when you come back, you better not make another puddle.”
“No promises.”
☆☆☆☆
In an attempt to save whatever dignity you have left, you decide not to run down the halls like a shitty rom-com cliché; instead, you speed walk. Which, in hindsight, is probably even more embarrassing than just full-sending it by running, but you digress. You barely get halfway down the hall when you see Suguru. Both of you make eye contact at the same time, yet neither of you stop making your way toward each other, but you both slow down, carefully walking toward each other like two predators about to attack.
“You're leaving puddles in the hall,” you say quietly now that the two of you have come to a halt right in front of each other.
Suguru nods and looks you up and down. “So are you.”
You both stand there for a moment, just staring at each other, neither of you saying anything. Allowing your presence to speak for itself, but it's awkward—too awkward—and it feels like your knees are gonna give out on you if you stare at him any longer in silence.
“What are you doing here?”
“I came for you." He shakes his head, ignoring his own answer, like his very words aren't the most important thing to you right now. He came for you. “What are you doing here? I thought you would’ve been in your dorm by now.“
“I was—“ your voice grows quiet, “But I was coming for you too.”
“I’m sorry.”
“No, you don’t have anything to apologize for, Suguru. I shouldn’t have said what I said; that was selfish of me. I’m sorry.”
“I don’t want space,” he blurts out, hardly acknowledging your apology, which he didn't need in the first place. What he needs is you, and it will always be you.
“You don’t?”
“God no,” he says vehemently. “Space is the last thing I want. I don’t want space from you. I feel like there’s something missing when I’m away from you. How could I ever want space, Y/N?” His voice cracks a little at the end, and it has your heart racing. “I was just mad, and I shouldn’t have said that.”
You have all of these feelings inside you, and you’ve cried enough today to last the rest of your life, so instead you find yourself laughing, and Suguru looks slightly mortified.
“Why are you laughing?”
You laugh some more before trying to catch your breath, and you take a step forward closer toward him as you speak through deep breaths, “I’m just so fucking relieved. I-fuck-I love you, Suguru.”
Suguru closes the space between you two, pulling you into his embrace, and you tuck your face into his shoulder, his cold, damp clothes doing wonders to soothe your now-burning cheeks.
“I love you too, Y/N.”
“I think we look stupid standing here soaking wet and hugging...”
“Wanna make ourselves look even stupider by standing here soaking wet and kissing?”
You pull away ever so slightly just to look at him, and he’s staring at you with a smirk, and the longer he waits, the more furious the blush on his cheeks gets, and you can't help but stall your answer even more just for that reason.
“…matter of fact, yes, I do.”
Suguru grins widely but wastes no time connecting your lips together. The kiss is better than you could have ever imagined; it's gentle yet passionate all at once, and it's sloppy because neither of you can fully stop smiling long enough to keep the kisses consistent. And It's everything. He's everything, and you're mad that it even took you this long to realize that in the first place, but at least you don't have to worry about that anymore. Now you just have to worry about the fact that you two will probably end up getting sick from your wet clothes, but that's a problem for after you two stop kissing—if you two ever stop kissing.

Chishiya x reader where y/n is younger than chishiya and he teases her about it and they eventually fuck sknejrmtkrnf
TELL ME
“It seems like a dream, you’re loving me.”
CHISHIYA X AFAB! READER
Chishiya is 25 / Reader 19
WARNINGS: SMUT. SEMI-PUBLIC SEX. (Kinda enemies to lovers ¿? And fluff at the end)
You’ve been knowing Chishiya for a while now, mostly because both of you were on the same group and most of the time coincide.
And it’s pretty obvious you have a crush on him.
But it’s not like you could go with him, ask him out, kiss him, and be boyfriend and girlfriend.
Why? Well, it’s simple: first, he’s like really distant with you. He barely talks! You tried to get closer to him, but it’s like he treats you like a little kid. You’re not a little kid! You’re now 19! And that’s already an adult.
The only small talks both of you have? it’s insulting eachother!
“Why are you looking at me like that?” You said to him. Do I have something on the face?! You touched your face concerned that you might have some food… that’s so embarrassing. What if he’s laughing about you? Oh nonono.
"Sorry, force of habit. Staring at your stupid face, that is." This son of a bitch! Who does he think he is?!
“Hey! Both of you. Stop fighting.” Kuina said, I don’t know how she’s been so patient to be spending time with both of you .
“He started it!” You exclaimed pointing at him.
“Has anyone ever mistaken you for being in middle school before?"
“What?” Kuina said,” “what does it have to do with-“
“Oh my god. I can’t stand you anymore Chishiya. Good bye.”
When you were leaving you just could hear him laughing and leaving a very confused Kuina. God… why his laugh is so pretty too?
But. As everything in excess becomes a bad thing, this teasing also become something bad.
Maybe it wasn’t teasing anymore? He might hate you. It’s like, he doesn’t even apologize and just ignores you!
So, you decided to ignore him for a day, maybe you could see if he really cares about you. It made you really sad that the person that you loved in this world treats you this way.
. -
“No, I don’t like her. She’s too loud and obnoxious and she’s still young to even understand what’s going on here. I don’t even know why did you accept her being in the group.”
Kuina was indeed schoked. She couldn’t believe Chishiya doesn’t like you. Like, yeah.. he’s not the best showing emotions but he’s not a bad person! Maybe he just needs a little push for him to start talking better to you.
“You’ve been an asshole to her. She’s done everything she can to like you! I don’t understand why you’re so mean to her.”
Am I too harsh? Shit. Maybe I should apologize..
“Whatever.”
. -
Now both of you were at the pool. You were having a nice day not until you saw him. He had his typical swim-trucks and his white jacket that showed just right his collar bone. Stop.
Both of you locked eyes, you couldn’t stop yourself from blushing. Even if you’re mad at him he still made you weak. He gave you a small sign of ‘come here’ by moving his head slightly to the left.
How could you say no to him? He had you wrapped around his finger.
He lead you to a place far away from the pool where both of you could have some privacy, he seemed different. Was he nervous? Why is he playing too much with his hands in his pockets?
“Look… I just wanted to say-“
Before he could even talk more, you asked him “Those things you said yesterday.. do you mean it?”
Okay. He couldn’t do this anymore.
“I didn’t mean it like that… I was trying to.. tease you.” Because I love you.
“No way in hell. Are you blushing right now?!” You couldn’t believe this, are you making him blush?!
“Stop it. I’m not blushing. You’re just making things up.” This is too good to be true. He’s really blushing!
“It’s okay Chishiya, some times we get too far away, and I know you don’t mean it, it’s just that we don’t measure what we say. I already talked it with Arisu about this and-“
“Arisu? What did he said to you?” he interrupted you before you could finish your sentence.
“Umm..”
. -
“No shit. It’s pretty obvious you have a crush on him..” He said looking at the map and the crossed the areas where you guys have played.
“Then what should I do?”
“Fuck him?”
“Arisu!”
. -
“It doesn’t matter what he told me.. Just so you know i’m not mad at you, I preferred having some distance with you since it’s like pretty obvious I annoy you, so I didn’t wanted to be-“
He shut you down by kissing you and grabbing you by the hips, making your bodies get closer and hotter each second passing.
You spent so many nights trying to hide how you feel, now you’re in this fantasy that you thought could never be real.
And here you are, locking eyes, both with the same feeling and want.
“You don’t know how much i’ve been waiting to kiss you. Every time you taunt me it only makes me want you more.” He pulls you again closer to him, you could feel how hard he was getting through his shorts. Detaching himself from your lips, he places open mouth kisses and bites across your shoulders. He lingers over the space between your collarbones, breathing in the scent of your skin along with the perfume.
“Please fuck me ‘taro” This still seems like a dream, you’ve waiting for this moment too long now.
“You are incredibly beautiful.” He kisses down your neck while holding your arms. As he goes lower you kiss him back. He was so entranced by your everything, he didn’t even notice you pulling down his shorts. They pool at his ankles and he kicks them off, never separating from you. His hands drag down your backside to your thighs, motioning for you to turn around. Once you do, he kisses below your ear while taking off your bikini with his hands.
He spreads your legs with his feet, entering his fingers with no warning. As he pushes his fingers deep inside, you let out a yelp and look down.
“Chis… chishiya I need you inside me” You moaned when his fingers got that specific place that your small fingers couldn’t reach.
You were about to come, and he could feel that when you’re clenching too hard into his fingers, so in one swift motion he enters inside you and both of you moaned at the feeling. Chishiya snakes his hand over your neck, using his fingers to tilt your head back up.
The way his brows furrowed as he looked down to where he disappeared inside of you, the flex of his abdomen as he moved his hips, the sweat starting to surface all over his body, all of it made your body heat up.
A particularly rough stroke makes your knees buckle. Chishiya doesn’t let you fall. Instead, he uses his strength to keep you up. Both of you were not too far away from The Pool (but at a private space) but you couldn’t care less if they heard you moan.
Each thrust makes you take in a breath, your moans and requests come out in stutters. Despite your state, he doesn’t slow down, keeping his fast pace to bring you both to the edge.
As much as he wants you to come together, the way your walls keep squeezing him makes him want to release right then and there. He can feel your walls flutter, and the way your hips are lifting, trying to separate yourself from him; he knows you’re starting to come.
Both of you came at the same time with one specific thrust that made you see stars.
He pulls out and helps you getting dressed again and try to seem the most presentable both of you can. You turn around to look him at the eyes. He looks so beautiful right now. His eyes are full of love. He wished you could see yourself like how he sees you. Because you’re perfect for him.
“Chishiya… please tell me, do I like you?”
“You’re the one for me, now and always. I’ll do whatever I can to see you again in the real world. I don’t like you. I want you. I love you.”
. -
“So you indeed fucked!” Arisu said, Kuina bursting out laughing.
Thank god the three of you were at his room because if Chishiya could see how red you are right now, he wouldn’t stop teasing you about it.

Okay so… I don’t really want to make this post, mostly because I feel like I’m always the one wearing tin foil hats on tumblr
But listen… I understand being upset and sad and afraid right now
But yall some of these posts are going beyond doomerism
Some of these posts
A lot of these posts, actually
Look quite a bit like demoralisation
So many of these posts I’ve seen look very much like purposeful targeted demoralisation
And I do hope everyone can understand very quickly how bad demoralising people right now is.
I do hope everyone can very quickly understand just how much people in power stand to gain from demoralising us.
I mean, you know, not that I’m saying that there’s a psyop taking place on the website that has routinely had multiple proven right wing/conservative/white supremacist psyops take place or anything
You know, that would be bonkers.
But all of these blogs out here saying that everything is hopeless and nothing will ever get better and we are all doomed and we should just tear each other apart and play the blame game?
That’s a little fishy.
Especially given that now more than ever is a time to stand with one another and hold on to hope and start organising together.
All of these blogs just blind faith accepting the election results as they are and not even considering any bad acting is at play? Just rolling over without any hint of a fight and implying that everyone else has to as well?
That’s a little fishy.
Especially given that:
The election results are not certified until December 25th and the House and Senate do have the power to object to the electoral college votes (especially if enough pressure is put on them to do so)
Especially given that it took a long time before we were sure who won in the last presidential race and it looked like Trump had won that first week back then too
Especially given that Kamala Harris’ Concession speech is not legally binding, and if it is found out between now and December 25th that she has won, then that will still be considered a legal win.
Especially given that many states, including battleground states, are already doing a recount and many more states are presumed to follow (So far Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada are recounting the ballots and Arizona and Texas are considering)
Especially given that there has already been proven minimal forms of tampering with the election process including multiple burnt absentee ballot boxes, bomb threats at polling places, as well as just plain human error whether malicious or benign.
So… you know… anyone posting on here saying that hope is dead and that we should all hate each other and everyone should just fuck off and stop caring about everything and stop supporting each other?
That seems a little bit fishy, doesn’t it?
That seems a little bit fucking sus, doesn’t it?!
Especially given that, even after all is said and done, even if he 100% did win and there’s no doubt that it’s legitimate
He’s still being sued for multiple charges and violations of conduct, he could still end up in jail
Especially since even if he doesn’t, even if he is sitting as acting president one January:
We have 2 and 1/2 months to mobilise
2 and 1/2 months to organise
Sure would be convenient for Trump and the 1% and the right wing pundits to make everyone feel like everything is hopeless and tragic and to pit leftist against democrats and what not
Sure would be useful to them if we were all just sad and hateful to each other these next coming months
Like I’ve seen many posts tying to do.
You can feel your feelings but if you start advocating for us to attack one another, for women to fight and hate leftist men who voted for Kamala, for black people to fight and hate other people of color, for leftists to hate democrats for not “going far enough” and for democrats to hate leftists for “going too far”
And all this bullshit in-fighting
I’m just going to assume you’re a bad actor and block you
This isn’t the time for the blame game, there’s no fucking one to blame other than Trump and most likely Elon Musk’s money.
Now isn’t the time to give a shit about why the election results are what they are.
Now is a time to stand together, united, to make our communities better, safer, sanctuaries.
Now is the time to talk to one another, to not strive for perfection but for safety.
Call your representatives
Get your passport
Print out as many copies of books (especially banned ones) as possible and fill your local little libraries with them, fill it with zines about community building too,
Check out these links:
Talk to the queers and the people of colour and the disabled people in your community
Book a meeting room in your local library
Talk to your librarians, talk to your teachers and health care workers
Talk to your local conservationists.
Don’t just talk to leftist spaces either, remember:
There is Power in Making Friends, Not Winning Battles - reach out to your community and find out what the real issues are, it’s very rarely actually just hate, it’s usually fear and poverty.
Do nice things for your community in the name of Queerness - in some places you can adopt a road and make it beautiful, so this with a group of queer friends and get a plaque that says “This Road Was Adopted by The Queer Community”
Get together with your minority friends and figure out how to open a soup kitchen (easiest than you think and registering as a non profit is actually a great way to stay safe for many reasons)
Have your community see you as a part of it, not a threat to it.
Speak at schools
Fundraiser for the library
If you’re included to do so, you could partner with different religious groups as well, especially since there are in fact religious groups that are inclusive and welcoming and supportive.
Make your community know that the “threat” of the “lgbtqia” is non-existent
Don’t make yourself less queer, less a person of colour, less disabled, etc, don’t fade into the background
Become a shining beacon of positivity and goodness that everyone in your community can see as an asset to the community.
Give back more than you e ever gotten.
I know how difficult that can be but trust me, it will be worth it. Work with the leaders in your community to lobby for more rights just in your town and then you can lobby for more rights in your state.
Just like how many states have now said that if Trump tries to do mass deportations they will stop him, work to create that solidarity within your own communities.
Do not sit quietly in fear doing and saying nothing but hopeless things for the next two months.
Do not let anyone convince you that it’s over.
Do not become another statistic.

hi i love your blog, your writing is so good! may i request what type of arguments the ‘03 boys would have with their s/o? like what would the argument be about? are they upset for a long or short amt of time? how do they make up with their s/o? hopefully that makes sense, thank you!
Arguments w/the boys ‘03
All 4!
Summary: what I think the boys are like during arguments with their favorite girl.
Hi friend! Thank you for your request and the super sweet words! Sorry for the long wait, love you!
Michelangelo;
Mikey definitely isn’t one to start or enjoy fighting with you… with his brothers, duh! But not with you.
The fights he starts -if one could even call them fights, are small, light-hearted and innocent. He is essentially just pulling your leg and trying to be a pain.
“Y/n! You can’t just walk past the t.v mid play! You made me lose the game!”
“I think you lost the game because you chose to focus on throwing pillows at me instead of playing your stupid game!”
Those fights don’t last long as the moment he thinks it’s actually stressing you out, he stops.
“I’m kidding angel! I’m kidding!”
He makes up for it every time with a kiss on the cheek too.
Generally, you’re the one who has to start the fights with him - even if he’s the one with a problem.
And trust me, he may not flat out say he has a problem with you but he sure can’t hide it.
Que the slight pouting and undeniable tension on his part. He can’t fake his feelings ever.
And don’t forget all the passive aggressive, smart ass remarks he makes under his breath when he’s annoyed.
Fights with Mikey are rare but when they do happen there is a common theme, a need for your attention.
Remember, Mikey is a needy boyfriend. It has pros and cons.
Pros - he’s doting, always makes sure you know just how much he cares, always makes time for you, remembers important dates and puts in all the effort a boyfriend should.
Cons - a bit too clingy.
“I feel like you don’t ever want to see me anymore, like you just come around to make me happy.”
“Why do you even think that, Mikey?”
“Because! I wish you wanted to see me as much as I want to see you!”
Fights with him never last long, ever! He’s the kinda guy that refuses to go to bed knowing you’re sad.
He also spoils you rotten after :) Gifts, food, foot rubs, everything!
Raphael;
Raph is a nightmare to fight with and we all know on some level, he loves to fight. More with Leo than anyone but still.
In regards to arguing with you, it definitely lies in a strange grey zone for him. He hates making you upset but also has a bad habit of enjoying a good conflict.
He hates that about himself.
Not to mention how bad he is at holding his tongue.
“I’m pissed, okay? I’m mad and I need to get away from you before I say stuff I don’t mean!”
“I don’t want you to go out there and get hurt!”
“You don’t get it! I’m not like you! I’ve been fighting my whole life and it’s hard for me to just stop!”
In the midst or after every fight, he disappears for a couple of hours. Cooling off is essential for you two to figure out the problem.
Surprisingly, fights between you and Raph are rare. Partially because he’s working on anger management but mostly because he tends to lock his emotions inside before having a massive blow up.
Once he’s calmed down, he always goes straight to you, full of shame.
“Hey baby.”
“Hey.”
One of the best parts about Raph as a boyfriend is how self perceptive he is, he always apologizes for what he did wrong and fully understands why it was wrong.
“I promise I’ll be better to you, and that I learned from my fuck ups, y/n/n.”
After fights, he’s a lot more affectionate with you and uncharacteristically, even keeps that energy in front of his brother.
Donatello;
Donnie and fighting really doesn’t mix well, it’s rare but when it does happen it’s always over dumb stuff.
The arguments start more like debates, his nerdy side comes straight to the forefront as he feels the need to correct you on everything.
“Y/n! I’m proofreading the piece you wrote and look! Are you sure this is really the angle you wanna argue your point from, beautiful?”
Now that sounds pretty innocent but if Don is one thing, it’s a little bit condescending - not on purpose or with malicious intent but nonetheless, condescending he can be.
Things that may seem like no big deal can turn into tension and fighting for hours very quickly.
Typically, you are the one that starts the fight but usually because Don accidentally did something to start the fight.
“I feel like you’re nitpicking to make yourself feel so much better than me, Don. It’s so frustrating!”
“Look doll, I’m just trying to make sure your don’t come off a little bit… foolish.”
Donnie is definitely book smart, but emotionally smart, not so much.
He has a bad habit of saying mean stuff he doesn’t think is mean that ends up hurting your feelings.
And sometimes it takes awhile for him to notice.
“Y/n?… y/n?… hellooo y/n! Are you giving me the silent treatment? Why?!”
He is kinda clueless about this stuff.
But when he does catch on, he’ll do the most mature thing and approach you to hear you out.
He’ll be engaged and ask all the important questions so he knows how he hurt your feelings and can properly apologize.
“You’re the smartest girl I know! I misspoke, I just wanted to be useful to you, sweet girl.”
Leonardo;
Okay hear me out on this one!! And don’t ever make any assumptions about thee Leonardo.
This man is whipped and it pretty much makes him incapable of starting a fight with you ever.
He will let you get away with just about anything and approaches any and all rough topics with you so gently.
“You don’t seem entirely like yourself, angel. Are you feeling okay?”
Even if your response is snappy, he is always gentle in his language and tone.
“Can I do something to help you, y/n/n?”
Fights between the two of you need to be started by you but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll fight back much.
Everything you would expect to happen, expect the opposite.
You give him the silent treatment, he’ll give you some space and come around later to talk it out.
You full on snap and scream at him, he’ll let you take out all your anger on him and tell you he understands why you are mad.
Complete princess treatment with him.
But don’t think he’ll always agree with you, absolutely not. He’s just patient and explains his point of view rationally.
“I really do love and understand you, y/n, but you have to learn to express yourself with me better. I don’t want to fight with you, because baby, I’m always on your side anyway.”
Sometimes fights with Leo can last pretty long, at least in comparison to Mikey and Don - but only because he backs off and gives you space.
When the arguments finally subside, Leo continues his princess treatment for you.
He just becomes even more affectionate than he usually is.
Missed you guys, hope you are all good!
