I was on my way from a long, Friday, morning meeting and all I was thinking about was going back to bed and never leaving it again. My week started with my car breaking down out of nowhere, then I got my period (which is not as bad when you think about it because it would be worse if I didn't get it), and then I had an actual meeting, in an actual office, with actual people (I usually work from home in my pajamas). 

I had to drive my boyfriend's car to the meeting downtown. I am glad that I could, but let me tell you one thing, my boyfriend's car is giant and to park this lady downtown I needed to leave 30 minutes early.

"oh fuck" I said to myself as I quickly did a U-turn before it was too late. Was it safe? No. Did everyone survive? Yes.

I totally forgot that I was supposed to pick up Chris from his own meeting since Matt couldn't because I had their car. I dialed Chrise's number.

"hi, ur okay?" he asked. 

"yes, I just might or might not forgot to pick you up so I'll be there in 15 okay? I'm sorry I had a rough morning..." 

"Bro no worries I'll pick up some coffee while I wait and you drive safe okay?" I smiled because wasn't he the best? He doesn't even drink coffee. 

"Okay I'll see you there"

I ended the call and typed Chris's location. It wasn't that bad with the traffic so I was there in less than 15 minutes. 

I was able to park where he was waiting so he got into the passenger seat and smiled at me while I started driving again. I really want to be home. 

"I would say good morning but I'll keep that to myself. Got you an americano and banana bread" He put my coffee in the cup holder and threw his backpack on the back seat. 

"Thank you, that's really sweet, I am literally half dead so that will help" I laughed and took a sip of my coffee. 

"I still think that my brother is dating a weirdo, how can you even drink it black and unsweetened?" Chris looks at me with a disgusted face. 

"You are all literally bunch of weirdos so I just matched the energy you know" I blinked at him and stopped on the red. 

"How was your meeting? New fresh love is gonna be fire. I got the drafts in my mail this morning. Did not change a thing. You and the team did great" I said and smiled at him. 

I was a graphic designer and helped Chris at the beginning of his brand, but I did not really want to work for him so I just help sometimes if it's needed. I am really happy that he still likes to know what I think about the projects tho. I also used to work for Laura but not anymore. That's basically how we all met. I quit after me and Matt started to be a thing. 

"I know right? Well, I knew you will love it. The meeting was great, we should be able to make everything work by the end of the month. And guess what... I actually got samples and I have a pink set for you kid" 

"Honestly... made my day, I am going to wear it for everything now" I laughed.

"Just don't post it yet" He said and started to click things on the car's screen.

"Just use my phone for music" I gave him my phone and he typed my code and put our favorite song by lil skies on. 

"Still can't believe I memorized Niall Horan's birthday just to get to your phone" 

I blinked at him and started rapping with the song. I loved make a toast. Music taste is probably one of the things that made my and Chris's bond strong. Don't get me wrong I love Nick as much as I do Chris, but he just always gets me and we were best friends since day one. The funny thing is that me and Matt did not really liked each other at first. 

The ride home made my mood better. We sang and laugh, I wasn't tired of my life that much anymore. I took my shoes off while holding all of my stuff. Matt was on the couch watching something while we made our way up the stairs. 

"Hi baby... How was it?" He asked as soon as he saw me.

"Crap, I am going to call Laura to take me back" I laughed and put my stuff on the table and went to wash my hands in the kitchen sink. I then walked up to Matt and just threw myself next to him to cuddle his side. 

He kissed my forehead and started to rub my back. 

"I am going to take a nice nap, you kids have fun but not too much" Chris waved at us and went back down the stairs to his room. 

Matt rolled his eyes and kissed my head again. 

"How about we do something nice together? Nick is going to come home with Madi soon, I think, and that means laud. We could go to that beach you like and just get food and watch the sunset later" He asked.

All I was thinking about was his cold hand on my back and how much I just loved that man. He knew exactly what I needed.

"Yes, please. I just need to change. I wore a bra man, can you believe this?" I sit back up. 

He laughed at me and shook his head. 

"Go then," He said patting my thigh. 

I went to put my new fresh love set in Matt's bedroom, used the bathroom and when I was ready we went out.

"Wow, so it's your car now, huh?" Matt started to change the mirrors and seat but he also raised his eyebrows looking at my stuff next to the shift gear. 

"Baby it's only essentials to drive, okay?" I smiled and got comfortable in the passenger seat. 

We drove to get food and dessert. The weather was perfect to just spend an entire afternoon on the beach. Boys did not have any work plans today so I knew Matt was all mine for the rest of the day.

We sat on the beach, had our food, and just talked or cuddled in comfortable silence. That's what I mostly love about spending time with Matt. We could just sit the whole day without a word and be alright with it, but also we could talk for hours and we would always have something to talk about.

"I love you Matty, thanks for taking me to the beach. This new project sucks but I know it's going to be better after that. I really needed just you today" 

I kissed his sweet lips. He tasted like the cherry Pepsi that we just had. He pulled me into his lap and slid his hands under my hoodie while he kissed me back. 

I rested my forehead on his as I pulled away and smiled. 

"Anything for my girl, I love you kid" He kissed my nose and I just wrapped myself around his body.

"I am not moving, you might as well carry me to your car like this" I said into his neck. 

He laughed at that and hugged me back.

"Or we can just stay here" He lay back down on the blanket. 

"I promised your brother that we are going to watch Criminal Minds with him tho" I said.

"Sometimes I just wish you and Chris weren't the same person y/n..." He joked and looked at his phone, holding it above my head.

"Let's go back after sunset in that case baby"

We did watch the sunset, my favorite part of the day. We came back home and spent time with his brothers as I had promised Chris. 

"Spend the night?" Matt whispered in my ear while the last episode for tonight ended. 

I smiled and nodded. I was off tomorrow and did not want him to drive me home that late anyway.

We said goodnight and went to his room. 

"I will go take a shower" I said and opened his drawer to take a pair of boxers and a T-shirt. 

"Go ahead, I went shopping while you were gone. I did restock your basket under the sink. I hope I did it right" He scratched his neck looking at me.

I had my stuff here, but I usually did the restock. Especially my period stuff under the sink.

"Matt...you did not have to do that, thank you, baby" I said pouting my lips.

"I wanted to, I want you to feel comfortable here. Not only you tho, all our girlfriends that come to our house. It's great that you did the basket and stuff" He smiled and I kissed his cheek.

"You are too sweet Matthew"

I went to the bathroom, when I was done he went to take a shower while I waited in his bed scrolling on TikTok.

When Matt came back from the bathroom I looked at him. He was wearing just his pajama pants. 

"Should I just say what all of the girls in my books would say? Matthew, you are such a tease" I wiggled my eyebrows at him.

"Oh my god, would you stop?" He got into bed laughing at what I said. 

"You love me for that" I put my phone on the nightstand and rested my head on his chest.

"Goodnight Matt" I closed my eyes.

He turned the lights off and tucked us in with the blanket. 

"Goodnight sweet girl" He kissed my head while I was already half asleep after this long day.

The best way to end the day is knowing that I will wake up in his arms the next morning.

My favourite part about the magic show in 1941 is that they really just didn't need to do it. It was totally unnecessary. They're up there, their miracles aren't working... Crowley could have just said look Mrs. H sorry we suddenly have tuberculosis, here's a wad of demonic cash, I'll drop you off a case of the next batch of hooch from the gents in Whitechapel when it's ready. (Might they have been able to miracle the bottles fixed/miracled new bottles???? 😂😭)

But Aziraphale wanted to do his magic. He wanted to do it because he wanted to perform. And he wanted to do it to impress Crowley. And he wanted to do it to help Crowley out of his spot with Mrs. H. But in that human way he seems to like doing things (poorly.)

And Crowley wanted to let Aziraphale perform. Crowley wanted for them to work together doing something fun. He wanted to let Aziraphale feel like he was doing something for him because once he did that - once he could pay Crowley back for saving him from the nazis - they wouldn't owe each other anything. Anything else that happened for the rest of the night would just be them just spending time together.

And that was the real point. Crowley and Aziraphale just wanted to spend some time together. As friends. But it also felt like such a good opportunity to say look, you know this is more than that, right? Because if we were just friends we could fuck off and say we had TB and just spend the night drinking. But no. They risked Aziraphale actually getting discorporated.

And it’s so funny to me that the idea is we're here to help out Mrs. H and they're on stage and Aziraphale is like "yes just shoot past my ear where Mrs. H is standing" LMFAO It’s affirming that no matter what happened in Edinburgh, St. James Park, all of the pretence of the arrangement - this was 'Trust in me that I trust you." And "This isn't a transaction or matter of convenience and I'm acknowledging it." It is..."We're a team...a group...a group of the two of us." And leave it to these two turn a "seriously just point a loaded gun at my face and shoot" into a perfectly them coded 'I love you.'

But you know...if we go the face value route of the final 15 and not some other theory...

(i had to edit this part multiple times because i am apparently just as bad as crowley and aziraphale at finding the right words to explain emotions so there's a lot of variation in any of the reblogs you might come across) I think that's a huge part of what hurts Aziraphale so fucking much when Crowley says "we could have been us." It cut down this massive thing in Aziraphale because for a while now he'd thought they already were. They were. They have been. They are. And Crowley tries to say they are in his confession, but in his clumsy hurt he jumbles it all up with negations and subjunctives. He never manages to get the words out to say "stay and we can stop pretending we aren't" or "we are but not like this." He gives his same jump ship offer as in past panics as the only scenario in which "we could be us." An unrealistic scenario. Aziraphale believes he is presenting a realistic offer (if the final 15 is face value.) But Crowley rejects him. Then that already weak "we could be" so quickly becomes "could have been."

People need to stop blaming Aziraphale for how he reacted to the kiss because there was so much happening there. So many thousands of thoughts and feelings and questions and fears and so much pain. They’re complex characters and behave in complex ways.

What about a Venti!Reader in Twisted Wonderland?

I have many thoughts on the matter. (Because funny enough i have a small AU of Genshin Impact where Venti and Zhongli are a divorced couple, and Xiao is like their child but we'll get there soon lol)

Just, bear with me on this.

Obviously a gender neutral reader is my default for concepts, but i feel the boys and even the teachers get confused on Venti!Reader gender, like their voice and appearance is too gender lol, are they a woman or a man? You can be sure that some students discuss it and i feel that Kalim will ask Venti!Reader which gender are they, much to Jamil's dismay.

I think that Kalim would get along with Reader in this AU! They would be such wonderful friends!

Keeping with the concept, i imagine that Venti!Reader would try to convince the Dorm Leaders into chilling a bit.

Leona is a guy who lowkey has conflicted feelings with reader because on one hand he finds them a bit dumb and annoying, but in the other hand he respects how little reader cares for what people say about them.

Vil is other that asks Venti!Reader gender straight to their face and has conflicted feelings on reader's outfit, and the way they stylize their uniform (Venti wears something similar to a corset in-game, which i don't remember the name, so i'd feel that reader wears that thing in their school uniform lol, i also headcannon that the whole school uniform is heavy due to how many layers they have so Venti!reader likes light things, they alter the uniform and looks pretty similar to their casual outfit).

Riddle straight up argues with Venti!Reader because reader is practically the embodiment of freedom and they clash often but they lowkey get along on good days.

Kalim and reader are really good friends and they like to talk about their lives back in their homelands, Jamil lowkey disapproves a bit of reader but because he is a little jealous over their freedom and free will.

Azul is lowkey on the edge around Venti!Reader because because Reader likes to mess with him and his contracts and roasts him all day and bro is so done with them but they get along and sometimes play games together with Idia..

Idia thinks reader got out of a game, because why do they look so gacha game character coded??? (They are lmfao) Reader teams up with Ortho and drags Idia to touch some grass and they become friends somehow.

Malleus met Venti!Reader while on his nighth walks while reader was just playing with their lyre singing songs, they became friends quickly.

Imagine just one day while casually playing games reader says "Yooo did you know i was married? I actually have a child back home, and an ex-husband too" and it's so ??? For everyone because girl what- They were so flabbergasted lmao..

And imagine them discovering Venti!Reader is a God, the God of Freedom, they would be sooo laughing at them because they honestly would not believe them.

Now imagine the day that they actually understand Reader is literally a god, one of the most powerful ones at that, and a venered and loved one by their people, it must be so delightful see their faces lmao

WHY I BELIEVE TEAM BLUE IS SOMEWHAT JUSTIFIED IN WINNING!! (THIS IS IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I'M YELLING THIS INTO YOUR EARDRUMS)

From a S+ person who was on a semi-comp team for some time with not that much experience low rankers. (There was only one other S+ player)

So, since some people say something along the lines of "Team Blue shouldn't have won! The legends are much better!" While that is true and they shouldn't have won that much, especially if you compare it to Ash Ketchum from the Pokémon anime who has lost. It does make sense to me at least a bit to as why they have had quite the winning streak.

When I was on a team with some less experienced players, a mediocre B+ player, C ranker, an A+ who had his switch broken for a while, and a B- player.

Once we played one of the trizooka challenges, and like any high ranked coroika antagonist, I got upset (anger issues 🫣) due to us losing quite a lot. But, my teammates, on the other hand, kept mainly cool despite the losses.

If you know anything about proper top players, they have to keep calm and focused throughout the game in order to keep pushing to redeem the match.

The reason why I'm bringing this up is because all the coroika antagonists get cracks in their gameplay at any slight disadvantage, whether it being distraction, their leader being splatted/caught up, or team fights (not inbetween them and Team Blue, just them by themselves.)

So they get stressed out, and then Team Blue uses this to gain control and win the game.

Every one of the antagonist teams does have have their clear weak points,

Team Yellow-green (S1): Taking down Rider, their main source of orders, and using communication with your own team

Team Orange: Do something unexpected. - This will probably be easier to do if you're a C- through C+ player, since in a video of Squid School (?) in Splat2 where he climbs through the ranks, starting at C-, he finds that all the C players are mainly focused on the objective and not splatting others instead of the A+ to X rank norm of picking battles off the side and then going to the objective.

Team Pink: Split them up.

Team Cyan: Avoid the subs and catch them off guard

Team Purple: Take down Skull or stay behind cover to avoid his shots and pick off his teammates

Team Emperor: Stress them out.

X-Blood: Split them up.

Also, there's this funny thing I've heard about where this freshman was assigned to make an AI for poker, and they literally made the code to tell it just to go all in. And they won first place, since every other AI just folded since it's not expected for their opponent to just go all in.

Anyways, don't hate Team Blue that much, at most dislike them. Thank you for coming to my stupid SplatTalk!

The person who started the thread asking people to share their own experiences with our victimized saint (or, more likely, your friends/connections experiences). Oh, did you deliver! And I'm so tickled you appreciated my pre-Harry story of her Toronto days.

Anyways, after that post, someone with a much better tea than me DM’d me (with pictures for proof). They want to remain anonyomous, which is why I am sharing on their behalf and taking out all identifiable details, because as we know — the sugars are legitimately insane and no one needs them in their lives.

That said: It is SO IMPORTANT we share these stories, because this is how the truth comes out. Critical mass is hit, and no PR can change it.

The story, paraphrased by me.

I've been waiting for the moment to tell this story. I'm a long-time lurker of this sub, but I don't usually comment or post. However, I have some really interesting tea that I got from a friend during a work trip.

Last year, at the Invictus Games in Germany, a photo of Prince Harry, his wife, and a colleague of mine went viral. In fact, imagine my surprise when I first saw it here in this sub! Much later, during a work trip, I met up with my colleague for dinner, and I couldn't resist asking her about Invictus. I thought she was pro-H&M; however, her experience revealed quite the opposite.

First the picture. She recounted that Meghan Markle spotted her and a friend, saying, "This would make a great photo opportunity," then practically manhandled them into taking a photo. Although Meghan was nice during the photo op (and Prince Harry was much nicer, and carried the actual conversation), my friend described her as "evil" and mentioned that Invictus is used primarily for PR. The organizers and volunteers had code names for the couple and could predict their arrivals because entire sections would be blocked off for staged events, and Getty photographers were ushered in.

In Harry's opening speech, he mentioned recently discovering his wife's Nigerian heritage. My friend said there was "tumbleweeds" of awkward silence, except for some cheers from about a dozen Nigerians who had been "rounded up" for this announcement. It struck many as disrespectful, diverting attention from an event dedicated to injured soldiers to focus on Meghan's heritage.

She was also at the event where Harry danced down the stairs to meet the Nigerian team. Organizers had gathered Nigerian women into a section, and H&M were then escorted down among them. Meghan walked right by my friend without acknowledging her, despite having forced a photo with her the previous day. It was clear that the Nigerian connection is obviously about PR. They stayed for only 10 minutes, and people were planted for photo ops. It all felt very contrived, with Getty photographers capturing them "posing for photos in the crowd" before they were quickly ushered out.

In fact, my friend revealed that supportive cardboard banners are handed out to people gathered in sectioned-off areas. [Editor's note: this is where my mouth dropped open. THEY'RE HANDING OUT BANNERS OF SUPPORT!]

She said Harry seemed to hate the attention but is besotted with Meghan. He disliked it when the crowd sang "Happy Birthday," whereas Meghan appeared to revel in the attention, enjoying people pulling at her and touching her hair.

Funny anecdote, Harry was heard saying: “Keep those fucking English away from me," clearly referring to English journalists.

I believe that every Invictus Games will have volunteers who witness similar things, and it's only a matter of time before more details like this leak.

Argh I’m so happy, they finally gave Cole a family outside of the ninja team because let’s be real Cole was kinda sidelined for ages he needs a nice family of people who respect him and also he needs a hot purple boyfriend to look after him!

Lloyd isn’t an npc, he’s a human being with flaws?? Like actual? Logical? Flaws? He’s not just a main character anymore?? His flaws aren’t even super annoying either. And like CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW FUNNY IT IS THAT TIKTOK AND YOUTUBE CANONICALLY EXIST? THE NINJA ARE LIKE, TUMBLR SEXYMEN??? IN THE LEGO UNIVERSE?? THATS SO FUNNY, WHAT?

all the jokes feel like actual people talking, the writing feels natural for the first time in years! Zane isn’t constantly abused, he’s happy and frog man is the best character and if Lego doesn’t immediately release mini figures for frohicky and all the other minor characters that are pretty important I’m going to Sue.

also I haven’t watched the next episode but if it doesn’t explain what happened with Zane to end up with a frohicky plushie I’m going to go ballistic, alright?

-How I feel about this character: Where do I even start. This guy drives me crazy. There is so much wrong with him. He's a loser, he's terrible. Insanely trans coded. He's kinda like me fr fr.... There is so much story potential for him. I need him. I feel normal about him as you can tell.

-All the people I ship romantically with this character: I SURE DO WONDER!!! (It's Shocker). I sure do love taking 2 of my favorite characters who have interacted once or twice and MAKE THE FUCK UP A RAREPAIR!!! with them. Dunno itd be interesting i think. They've got similar powers and all, they worked fairly well in that one interaction... They contrast each other nicely, idk theres just something about these 2... (< guy who has written literal essays about all the ideas he has)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: ELECTRO AND MYSTERIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best friends of all time (they hate each other /j) Dunno they'd be funny i think. Also their difference in powers would make an interesting team up. Think they'd bond over shared interest in tech and stuff. They probably gossip a SHITTTT ton despite Electro saying he has no interest in it. They're buddies who've got each other's back even if they get on each other's nerves a lot :]

My unpopular opinion about this character: A lot of people. GREATLY MISCHARACTERIZE HIS ASS!!!!!! He is not an uwu soft boy TWINK!!!!!! That is a grown ass man. Sure he's younger then the rest of the 6 BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN HE SHOULD CONSTANTLY BE INFANTILZED. Also. (ok this is more of an unpopular opinion type beat, I just needed to rant about that real quick back there) Make that guy meaner, he is def kind of a prick. He would poke fun and tease the other members, he'd argue with some of them (esp Mysterio and Vulture). ALSO he isnt the brightest. But hes also not STUPID!!!!!!! Do you have any super into detail thoughts on kyosaya? I know you've drawn a few art pieces for the ship, but I haven't seen any written think pieces about it from you.

I know there are some who don't like to use ships as a way to tie to a characters personality, so I guess I'm curious what your overall thoughts are on it and how it ties into sayaka as a whole.

"Think pieces" is a pretty neat way to put it...The primary foundation of KyoSaya to me revolves around a uniquely sapphic relationship that I hope would be expanded upon in future shows in the series.

↑ Yet, what are all these words supposed to mean? Sayaka has always done things for the sake of others. Her sense of justice elevated to the point where she views herself as a knight, someone who kneels in the face of goodness in respect of whatever is honourable to maintain it. But a knight is just another form of a pawn, just a stronger one whom everyone perceives has the ability to: 1) protect others 2) kill The Enemy.

Sayaka used to only ever have been able to interpret this in an extreme and binary vision. If she has to defend others, she has to devote herself fully to the cause. To her, the notion of self-care and self-preservation is difficult to comprehend since she feels as though she always has to be a monolith of one singular thing, of one side of things. To her, everything is like a chessboard. There is no way to play knight for both teams at once: either you prioritise yourself, or you prioritise others.

I understand that it is also a realistic depiction of how individuals like Sayaka constantly push through their own struggles alone while always uplifting others, a demonstration of unbalanced relationship dynamics. When this vision is challenged, Sayaka does not know where and how else she is expected to just "move forward" when she realised reality is not a simple game of chess. So she shrinks her view of the world further by clashing with Kyoko, since Kyoko is The Enemy who obstructs Sayaka's own perception of all that is Good and Just. Sayaka knew she was manipulated by Cubey™, but it was not only in the later movies that she comprehended the full extent of it. Something like that feels too complicated in her mind, so it's easier, much less burdensome to just lock onto one person to be angry with. This mentality is almost a sort of fallacy for Sayaka given she becomes a Witch in every cycle she becomes a magical girl.

Sayaka wants to feel relied on by humans. Kyoko does not desire nor expect anything from people, and thus balances out the extremes of Sayaka by being detached from worldly expectations - at least, that is what's consistent with Kyoko's perception of herself. A puppet without strings. She is not a pawn, not a knight. That's why she was angry when she realised the wish-granting alien omitted information on magical girl mechanisms and their life cycles. Instead of shovelling forward headstrong like Sayaka, however, Kyoko reconsiders her childhood memories and her desire, and it was to die with Sayaka so that Sayaka would not have, in Kyoko's eyes, perished for the sake of The Greater Good, because Kyoko believes still in the Self, not the vague promise of a better future.

Uhm. It's probably nonsense now that I put it in legible words. Some other KyoSaya fans who are big brained enough should educate me more on their dynamic, but I find their relationship to be interesting. It's very fallen angel x demon coded. I feel...as though Sayaka and Kyoko are hard to separate given they exist as characters that neutralise and support each other. Perhaps not codependent, but Sayaka was unhinged enough for Homura to not threaten her once, but twice whenever Madoka's feelings are involved. Meanwhile Homura was more...tolerant of Kyoko. Kyoko is there to keep Sayaka in check to make sure she doesn't piss off the Devil to the next century, and to me that is also funny.

[Although, it is tragic that since Sayaka embodies the sea, the only way Kyoko can only be with her "in death" due to the theme of Ophelia, her lover and the flame of the witch. Who could have predicted the doomed yuri is doomed. A sinking ship, even.]

OH WOW. okay so in late january last year dream team went to LA, dream for music reasons and i think in general just to hang out with friends? anyway for extra context dnf had been going crazy from dream straight up saying he has a boyfriend in a reply to austin show, george streaming two times within days (playing hypixel with dream for a bit in one and doing a whole stream playing it takes two with him the whole time). late into the night on january 20th the fire nation attacked. dream posted a selfie of him and george kissing, hence kissgate.

people understandably went crazy over this but whats also funny now looking back is how intent people were on proving or memeing that it wasnt george he was kissing or some other explanation that isnt dnf. theories include sapnap holding the camera, that it was sapnap he was kissing (in a wig), that it was foolish gamers, and that he was kissing george but it's the back of his head (?). my personal favorite is it's patches in a wig for some reason. anyway two days pass by and we get hit by "cute date" part one where they're eating outside and george posting a really cute video of dream. some snaps with sapnap and a dteam picture really adorable vibes overall yay theyre having fun in la. january 25th another snapchat from dream and its this. bedgate

which looks really inconspicuous on the surface and waow dream looks really good here but people starting looking at the bed and the clothes on the floor and theorizing that george was curled up in the blankets due to the shape. i think this was more of a tumblr thing? but i mean i believe it. i think it makes sense. and then we got cute date part two and they never acknowledged kiss or bedgate ever again . on purpose, like. people were spamming chat with this but genuinely no acknowledgement whatsoever. theres also other parts to this LA saga such as the fact that dream was making an ep with love songs (that well. you can guess at least one of them was george coded) included and im pretty sure this was the first appearance of the chain george wears all the time, which has been found to have been dream's that he wore on face reveal day so. that was really awesome

As another unemployed artist the fact they think terra staff "ruined their income" when not only are they absolutely popular enough to make money off their art. They also have coy's audience backing them as well, so this claim is extremely laughable to me. Try having no audience at all and not having a community made up of big spenders from cs communities, then maybe we'll feel a little sympathy.

Or better yet maybe if you and coy contributed an ounce of effort beyond being greedy assholes you'd still be able to make money off the species. But no, clearly they never learn their fucking lesson because every single species they've made eventually gets ruined because of their insistence on running the species according to how much money they can make.

It's genuinely hilarious to me that they both actually think they're the victims in this situation because terra staff finally put their foots down and said they can't keep using the species for money. even if civ had nothing to do with deleting the pets, i would argue terra staff made the right choice in banning them. what coy did is equivalent to vandalism and can cause further problems if there are issues with code and such. furthermore, wouldnt it make sense to ban civ as well if theyre closely associated and have the power on the account to do more vandalism? civ you werent doing shit for the species other than farting out adopts every week, youll live.

however if you go through the rest of their recent designs its all little chibi stuff for around ~$20. that could be a defense for the "wah wah you stole my one source of income" if it werent for the fact these designs almost never go unsold, they have chibi slots open for $45, and they also have fucking isopups to ride the coattails off of. like you will be fine, you have many ways to make money off of your art as opposed to some 10 follower account. this is pop artist bitching at its finest.

Anyway, HSR 2.5 yapping. (Spoilers, duh.)

So, that was pretty neat. It wasn’t perfect, and had more glaringly obvious flaws than the last few patches, but it was enjoyable all around. I already know there are gonna be people calling this patch trash. It’s not. Don’t listen to them.

To get down to brass tacks, let’s talk about a few things that really stood out to me. The beginning was very very strong. Feixiao mentoring Yanqing was sweet, and it was funny to watch Danny get dragged back to prison for a third time. It was also nice to get some explanation about the situation with Hoolay’s imprisonment and learn just a tad bit more about what Dan Heng went through. Those three definitely had the side story of the patch, but they served their purpose well.

Before we go further I’d like to talk about some of the issues I had. They didn’t ruin my experience, but they were noticeable enough for me to talk about it. That Hoolay fight was super fucking hard, right? My friends (who have much better teams than I do and have actually put money into the game) also agree it was strangely difficult. I felt like he did too much damage to you and didn’t take enough damage, and that made his whole fight really clunky to play. Additionally, the pacing was a little wonky. Some sections felt like they were too early or too late in the story. The biggest example is the conclusion to the Dan Heng/Jing Yuan/Lingsha story. It felt a little forced and out of place. Although the actual content of the mission was great. Dan Heng just fucking chucking his spear at Taron after he had just spent forever talking about how they wouldn’t dare break the dragon people code was so funny.

Let’s talk characters. Yanqing finally got to complete his arc, and he got a massive W. His growth in 2.4 and 2.5 has been a highlight of both patches. I like how dedicated he is, I like how he’s really seemed to grow up. He had some really badass moments. He probably landed the single biggest blow on Hoolay we’ve ever seen, barring self inflicted wounds. I’m just happy he finally got to grow into himself a little more, if we don’t see much more of him I won’t be upset. He had a satisfying conclusion to his arc.

Okay okay listen, I know this was supposed to be Feixiao’s patch. I know. She was great! We got to learn a little bit more about her and her lore, and I think everyone loves our lacking general. But… she had her patch stolen lmao. Jiaoqiu was 2.5’s baby, he was the bitch of the hour, he was the star of the show. I’m not even mad about it either. Shit was peak.

Jiaoqiu’s arc with Hoolay was the best part of this patch. It was so hard to watch. They really didn’t pull their punches. I mean some of the things they choose to put Jiaoqiu through… Since you’ve gotten this far I don’t care about spoiling you. The way the choose to end his story in 2.5 was tragic. I was sure they were actually going to kill him, I was losing my mind. Him drinking the poison because he knew that Hoolay would want to drink his blood is so unbelievably badass. If he had actually died from that I don’t think anyone would be bashing the writing. I’ve already seen some debate about if they should’ve actually killed him, or if his survival is more interesting. Personally I like keeping him alive as a choice, specifically because they took his sight. The more I thought about that the more I realized how cruel it is. He’s a doctor, and a cook. You can’t really be a doctor while blind, and he probably couldn’t cook meals with the level of complexity he’d like. Not only that, but he’s clearly deeply traumatized by the experience. Wondering aloud if Feixiao is really speaking to him or if it’s a trick to kill him. He said he was content but honest to god I don’t believe him. I don’t think those are the words or the tone of someone who is actually at peace with their decision.

And his VA? Hello?? Brother must’ve had rent due or something because goddamn he killed it. Jiaoqiu kept getting more afraid, injured, and miserable as the story progressed and his VA managed to portray that without going over the top or sounding hammy. There was so much emotion in his voice, it was crazy. That was an all time great HSR vocal performance.

Those are most of my thoughts for now. I suppose I’ll probably be back for 2.6.

Pre-Flashpoint, her main character arc was starting off from a very violent, angry, and totally-okay-with-murder place, and then learning to instead be and believe in being a symbol of hope. As robin, she has to be physically stopped from killing people multiple times. As Spoiler, she is stopped once from outright murder and CONSTANTLY from “lets just leave the bad guys in this burning building why do they need to be saved”.

She also is constantly treated like shit and underestimated by everyone — Tim, Bruce, Cass, Barbara, Dick, Damian — despite canonically being the same skill level as Tim. The only one who believes in her is Helena who encourages her to question B&R’s strict ethics. This (and her murderous tendencies) means that everyone is always trying to get her to quit and leave, but she keeps coming back.

She has a whole redemption arc!!

THEN

Compare that to her in the New-52 to now

She starts off from a place of (mostly) hope. And she is ETHICAL and fights Bruce about this (dramatic but non-violently). She is deeply offended that Bruce & Kate are training and monitoring her to keep her daughter-of-Cluemaster self in check, because she is a hero. A good guy.

BUT.

It doesn’t stay that way. Being accused of being a villain I think sets her down this path, but especially when she gets her pre-flashpoint memories back.

Because right now she’s not in a redemption arc, she’s in a CORRUPTION arc. Like she still is one of the most compassionate members of the team towards civilians and crowd control (this mostly is a New-52 introduction but I really like it). And her and Cass learn to be symbols of Hope to their community in the Batgirls series.

BUT WHATS THE FIRST THING SHE DOES WHEN SHE’S AWAY FROM BATMAN’S MONITORING and is a batgirl now with her independence and previous memories?

She also is actively defying bruce by, instead of fighting Jason when he’s working with villains or on a destructive bend, showing up with coffee and going “wanna talk”? Like her friendship with Helena (pre-Flashpoint) she doesn’t want to hold up batman’s strict code around non-lethal violence in others, even when she’s not the one fighting.

Also! Teaming up a lot w Jason? And now Jason and Rose Wilson????? I seriously hope we get a proper long story with them, especially now that Cass is with the Birds of Prey

ALSO! Her signature weapon is resourcefulness, chaos, and fighting dirty. In the words of Lady Shiva “You can’t predict what she’s going to do because not even she knows”. (That’s a very derisive way of putting it but it's funny so). Pre-Flashpoint Batgirl had all those customizable Batarangs with a bunch of random effects (bring this back!!). Now her weapons reflect whoever she’s been training with recently — a staff with Tim, escrima sticks w Dick, fisticuffs w Cass — SO. GIVE HER A GUN. LET JASON TEACH HER GUNS (but also she should stop being just in a learning position. She is very competent by herself)

Also the parallels between her and Bruce? Being self-taught? And constantly told to quit? And losing a child? And their way of preparing contingency plans for fighting everyone is very similar as opposed to others on the team.

Hey, hey fam.

These past few weeks I have been onboarding. I let my insecurities get the best of me and didn’t want to take on an assignment early. I was dealing with some imposter syndrome and feeling the weight of being the new person. I felt like all eyes were on this little Black girl and wondering what she was going to do. I wanted to get better acclimated with my new environment and such, but also I was fearful. I’m glad I did take my time though. I extended my onboarding as much as I could and finally got started on my project last week. At first it all felt impossible, especially since my manager set an extremely aggressive timeline for it all (1-2 weeks). My teammates who I consulted about the project all told me it would take AT LEAST 3 weeks. I chatted with my mentor who I’ve mentioned to y’all who has never left my side about my fear and he suggested I ask exactly what I need to do. That encouraged me. It reminded me that I’m not even EXPECTED to know every step. Although I didn’t reach out to ask this, God heard me and a few people reached out directly with resources and help. They knew I was assigned this project and they reached out to part some wisdom and offer their continued support going forward. There was a moment when I couldn’t procrastinate anymore and I had to dive into things (a new language, a new code base, a weird interface, tangled code). I prayed to God to get me through and I felt him saying: one thing at a time. And I’m glad I did…I took one step at a time and soon things started to make sense. After a lot of time invested, I gained some confidence back and started to understand things. I made some code changes and made more progress than I thought. It’s all because I tried to face fear head on. I reminded myself that if God put me in this role, he wasn’t going to rip it away from me. He is with me at every point. If you aren’t convinced He exists, I hope you consider it, because if not for trusting Him, I wouldn’t have this praise report. I’ve written all my coding steps out in my tech spect. My team loves it! So much so, that my manager called my colleague and I his favorites on a call with the rest of the team! That was not appropriate, and made me feel like a target is now on my back from my team, but I was absolutely flattered. Some even DM’d me sharing their praise.

I felt so good I even took a work break and didn’t work after work for the first time in such a long time. I REALLY want to do well. I prayed to excel on the team quickly and I pray that is in God’s plan. I’m so used to struggling on my team no matter how agonizing it was. What was holding me back, no matter my prayers, was my fear and my inability to try as hard as I could. I want to try really hard, and I believe I can shock even myself, and that things will all turn out to be better than I expect, as long as I believe in God, pray for it, fight fear, imagine the best outcome, stop worrying, and trust HIM.

I thank God that He’s disciplined me. I want to also find balance. I haven’t worked out in a while just putting all my focus into delivering early, but I will pray for God’s help to make it a priority.

I pray yall are encouraged to fight fear and work for your wildest dreams as well.

On TOP of that, I work closely with a guy I think is kinda cute! Funny thing: my HRBP referred me to him, I reached out, he was kind, turns out were from the same city, he shared what he was working on, offered to meet with me 1:1 regularly going forward, we got paired in the same working group on our department’s offsite the next week, and then I ended up getting assigned to the project that works closely with what he is building! He doesn’t work in my office but is visiting soon and asked if I wanted to do lunch and whiteboard. I’m looking forward to it! I forget how to eat like a human when I eat in front of someone I like, so I’m going to try hard not to look like a weirdo! He has a girlfriend AND I am not going to entertain relationships nor romance with a colleague. I’ve learned from my past. I’m not even sure if I really like him or if I’m just THIRSTY. Ya girl has been deprived of male courtship for a while lol.

Anywho, I’m super grateful to God and things are going well. I have to stop bracing for impact and just continue to always expect for things to go well and know that if they don’t, it’s for a reason and God has a master plan. God bless yall.

As you may know, I recently moved to Osaka and have been welcomed by posters everywhere about this collab going on throughout the Osaka Metro. On my first commute to work, Tanjiro was there in one of my busy transfers to cheer me on, and I felt fully encouraged! But Uzui-san believed this was a good chance for me to get to know some of the stations better and sent me on this mission to search out clues and codes throughout seven stations, using the kit available for purchase which includes a few of the tools you need to solve the puzzles. I dressed up in a Suma-inspired blue theme today, and it seems he sent along a Muscle Mouse to watch out for me out there in the big city.

We weren't alone, though,and indeed spotted many people carrying the same kit through the afternoon.

I find the roles for this funny, like the kids have Pillar supervisors in each of their roles. I originally thought Uzui-san was also on the repair team, meaning Inosuke needs two Pillars to supervise him, but it seems Giyuu is stuck alone with Inosuke and Uzui is a conductor with Tanjiro, who wears his uniform more recognizably neatly. That puts Rengoku in charge of selling bentou with Nezuko (the bentou are at more risk with one of them than the other, they might all get purchased but not spread amongst the hungry masses), and Shinobu supervisoring Zenitsu in customer service. That's going to get annoying as they greet female passengers.

Anyway! Muscle Mouse and I started the day at the cafe. As usual with these events, there is a novelty surcharge, and you enjoy the food and drinks more for the fun and giggles than for the taste. They sweeten the deal by throwing in some number of freebie coasters depending on the price of your menu items. Since I'm welcoming myself to Osaka with this event, I went with something Osaka style, the fried skewers, aka kushi. One of them was inspired by a black Nichirin blade. I didn't mind it since I've done a lot of these and know not to have high expectations but Muscle Mouse insisted we were getting ripped off but ate half of them anyway.

After that we went shopping next door. As usual, I spent too much. But!! I got Kanroji socks!! No, not the socks, just white ones with her Nichirin-to hand guard motif, and they are adorable. Having bought the kit, I also got to spin the raffle once--or rather, Muscle Mouse spotted it and insisted on doing the hard work.

Muscle Mouse won an Inosuke postcard and wanted to show it off more, but I reminded him we still had a city's subways to explore.

Since there were some displays, we looked around more, found some demon slayers and a life-size Nezuko, eee so high and cute! Muscle Mouse didn’t care that he was totally covering up the view of Giyuu.

In our exploring, we accidentally found something we weren't supposed to find yet.

I realized pretty quickly that we shouldn't be there (yet) but Muscle Mouse was too proud of having accomplished the mission so quickly, I couldn't stop him from stamping our paper complete before we'd even started... sigh

As for the actual game, how long it takes you partially depends on how well you read instructions and navigate subway stations. For Muscle Mouse, who can't read, it took no time at all. For me, it took about 4 hours, but I really could had used Muscle Mouse's help at some navigational spots, for he knows a thing or two about mazes. Dang mouse was so proud of himself he fell asleep in my purse, though, belly full of that kushi he complained about.

As for me, it was fun, glad I did it! Some puzzles were easy, others were very satisfying to crack. I'm still happy to have Tanjiro smiling at me on my commute for a little while.

E/riel’s are really going crazy over SJM posting that Taylor Swift song, Guilty as Sin, on ber Instagram story. 😂 One E/riel even said “Not going to lie, I think Taylor is an ACOTAR fan. So many of her songs are coded for our girlies. I'm like she's had to have read these books!!!”

I feel like not everything that Sarah posts has to do with her books. Maybe she just wants to post/enjoy girly things without it being deep. If people want to headcanon it for their ship then that’s obviously fine, but some people are being way too aggressive about it. According to and E/riel, one Gwynriel on TikTok said it reminded them of Gwyn because sin makes them think of protested and the E/riel said “People will reach for anything”. So it’s okay for E/riel’s to make headcanons about the song, but Gwyn fans can’t? E/riel’s believe that song is their ship because of the religious language that mimics E/riel.

It kinda reminds me of how E/riel’s say Elain isn’t leaving the NC, but when SJM posted spring stuff on her story they were screaming Elain. Or when some came up with the theory that Azriel’s mother is living in the Spring Court because of his property being called Rosehall, and so they connected Elain to that. Azriel does have a property called Rosehall, but I’m pretty sure Tamlin does too in the SC. Also, it would be weird for Azriel’s mother to live in the SC. Wouldn’t he want his mother close to him just in case? And wouldn’t he and his mother have to get permission by the High Lord of Spring to live in his court? Funny how E/riel’s don’t place Elain in Spring unless it’s to their benefit/it connects her to Azriel. Gotta love that cherry picking.😂

or... and hear me out... taylor makes songs that can be applied to any ship in any fandom, much like a lot of other pop music. it's not that deep lol. e/riels really need to stop reaching so hard, they might throw their backs out if they're not careful

yeah, sjm isn't subtle or really sneaky at all but these new fans seem to think everyone has to leave hints and clues outside of their work, when she has never done that over the span of her decade old career. why start now? anything she writes will earn her millions anyway, seems unnecessary to me. i believe that sjm's new team is just trying to get engagement and that it doesn't go very far beyond that

oh e/riels have severe main character syndrome. they think everything is about them and their ship and if it isn't they twist facts and omit information to make it seem so. it's sad that a lot of them are grown ass adults too like girl... don't you have bills or something to worry about? but you're on social media bullying others over fictional pairings? embarrassing. i know i talk mad shit but god damn i don't keep up with them like they do gwyn fans/gwynriels. i spend my free time on things i don't claim to hate, weird i know! but honestly we all know they're secretly fans at this point 🤭
