every single day i think about the influence touya would have had on shouto as an older brother.

he has to take him everywhere he goes, so they're always jamming to the same hardcore music in touya's shitty car. shouto, obviously, develops a taste for the same bands, same songs. shouto is also in the ride-along to buy cigarettes and beer at midnight, and touya threatens his whole entire life if he tells rei, but shouto would never because he likes going too much.

shouto 100% would attempt to kick the ass of anyone that talked shit to his brother. little string bean, doesn't matter, this little boy is throwing HANDS for touya, and touya very much has the attitude of "no one can fuck with my little brother but me". whenever shouto gets in trouble for doing something he shouldn't be doing, touya is always taking the fall for him, no questions asked. shouto lies for touya like it's second nature.

shouto wants an earring because of touya, and touya probably GIVES the piercing to him, which makes enji blow a gasket. touya learns to play the drums and then shouto wants to, too — though he ends up being better than touya and touya promptly quits after that. touya teaches him to drive. shouto gets drunk for the first time with touya BECAUSE touya wants to be there to take care of him. they hate each other, they get into fist fights all the time, rolling around the house as fuyumi screams at both of them. they're best friends. they understand each other more than anyone else ever could.

I really think not enough is said about "awkward" yet good-intentioned handhelds. By that I mean the tiny not quite sure how to hold on or balance themself, or the giant sort of wrapping their fingers around them and accidentally covering their mouth, so their speech is muffled, followed by an adjustment, a "sorry."

The kind among friends, the tiny one clambering into a palm, losing balance and tumbling as it shifts underneath them, the giant perhaps in a hurry. Little exclamations of "oops" or "woah," the giant cupping their hands around them and reassuring them that they won't fall out as they get reoriented. "I gotcha, little one."

Shit never fails to bring a stupid fucking smile to my face.

You know how some spiders keep frogs to protect their eggs and the spider basically becomes frogs bodyguard. That's what going on between them..but the spider occasionally tortures the frog hhh

Deich have seen how AM works. It's amazing what a machine can do. The more AM gained sentience the more they facinated they were. Deich doesn't really think that AM is dangerous, thats why they can be seen hanging around AM without a care in the world. Its mostly morbid curiosity that drives them to him.

Just a silly thought Deich was nice to AM, even when he wasn't sentient. Ya know, gently pet the computer for doing a good job.

AM thinks that they are delusional. To think that Deich almost treats him like a human being. It disgusts him. He hates their guts.

But thats kinda amusing isn't it? To have someone come back to you and practically worship you after you tear them limb to limb, like a loyal dog to their owner. That obsession, it intrigues him.

I think survivors wouldn't really like Deich. Maybe they don't like the way Deich treats AM, so lovingly, with care. But it's not like they see them regularly anyway. Deich is mostly kept to themselves, wandering around the wast corridors that fills the complex and rooms with old rusting machinery.

AM sometimes uses deich as a distraction for other survivors, mostly in a way that will make them mad at each other.

OKAY RANDOM CUTE BOWUIGI THOUGHT

I've seen lots of art of bowser giving Luigi pirahna plant bouquets very dangerous very spicy there bowser considering how nippy those pirahna can be

BUT WHAT IF

Bowser gives Luigi a bouquet/flower plant pot and the pirahnas spring to life absolutely just covering Luigi in kisses just mwamwamwamwamwa because Bowser specially raised/grew/trained them to be non hostile and affectionate which leads to overly affectionate kissy plants and Bowser going "HEY" cause that's HIM boyfriend!! Too many kisses!! Tone it down! You were meant to only make one kissy sound each! Getting very upset with his trained plants because urg too affectionate go away I wanna smooch Luigi now.

So now Luigi owns this affectionate pirhanna plant which is essentially just puppy hardwiring in plant body, they wiggle their leaves vigorously and waggle their whole stems when they see him coming like excitable puppies ready to play and the worst they'll ever so is chew on his fingers sometimes and aw his plant.

The scene that made me laugh is when Tsunami learns how to speak Aquatic and the very first thing she learns how to do is basically swear. Headcannon that squidface is the SeaWing swear that functionally means dickhead. Which I think fits Whirlpool well. I tried to make him as oily as possible. His ears normally droop under the weight of all the hoops. But he's so surprised that they're sticking up quite a bit. He also has some big ears for a SeaWing. All the better to put more hoops in. I may do a bit of a redesign at some point and give him gages because that would be sweet.

you expect him to lock up, maybe even drop his lighter with a dramatically timed clang over the compound floor. every mental iteration has him frozen in place, stunned.

and you're wrong.

without pause, he flicks open his lighter and brings the flame to the frayed end of his cigarette. unbothered, he takes one deep drag, plucks it from his lips, and hands it to you without turning to look at you once.

you bring the cigarette to your lips and inhale once. the smoke is bitter on your tongue.
