How to get away from antiship spaces (mostly)
Warnings: Long post, antis mention, mentions of pedophilia, rape, self harm and gore (none show, not descriptive)
Have you recently learned that you align yourself with the proship label? Would you like to get away from antis as safely as you can? Here's what I've learned, as an ex anti:
1. It may be hard, but try to get rid of/abandon your accounts where you used to interact with antis.
This is one of the hardest steps because having a lot of followers can be discouraging, but it's the safest approach in this situation, because if antis see you following or interacting with proshippers they WILL question you about it and depending on how you tackle their asks they'll throw you to the wolves and publicly "warn" people about you so people can mass report your account/harass you
This applies to anything; Tumblr blogs, Twitter profiles, Discord servers, if you've interacted with antis block them and delete your account if you decide to adopt the proship label
Antis constantly claim that they don't harass people but as soon as someone drops the anti label they dogpile them and call them "traitors" as well as their usual buzzwords to catch people's attention, it's better to pull the plug directly than just rebrand your account
1.5. If you REALLY want to keep your account because you've used it for a long time or because it works as a portfolio, please create a different account to post about proship content
If you make a new account remember to block your anti mutuals/followers from your main account before you start posting, art styles can be very unique and easy to spot similarities in, as well as typing patterns and reoccurring emojis/symbols
If there's the option to, keep your profile private until you've built a steady environment for yourself, if you prefer to keep your profile private permanently that's also a good option!
Remember, your safety matters more than numbers on a screen!
2. This one should go without saying but, please don't share much of your trauma/mental health issues/triggers with people online in general, but especially not with antis
I used to talk about my struggles and vent publicly a lot, antis would stalk my accounts and send me all types of fucked up content.
I've had people send me rape videos and threats, people telling me I deserved the abuse I went through, people would send me gore and self harm images, as well as suicide tutorials.
They can and will use all of it to their advantage, they're restless and will dig up even decade old posts if they feel it'll be useful for them. It can and will take a toll on your mental health, so please save yourself the trouble and only open up with people you genuinely trust and feel safe talking to!
You're not alone, but please don't let dangerous people take advantage of you when you're at a bad spot
3. Keep an eye on your followers, especially if your profiles are public. There are always some things to look out for to make sure your followers aren't antis pretending to be proshippers
According to my personal experience, here's some red flags to look out for:
A.Antis think that the word proship means problematic ship, so they'll refer to pairings as "a proship"
Most proshippers dislike this terminology because it comes from an incorrect definition and usually avoid it
B. TikTok antis specifically come up and use a lot of emoji combos, creating meanings for them and usually adding one or two combos that are actually known to proshippers, along with some never seen before
A lot of the time they use it to identify themselves, a sign that means "I'm not actually a proshipper, just baiting"
I've also seen antis use the clover emoji in combos, inspired by the "clovergender/cloversexual" scam that 4channers came up with, to make it seem like the LGBTQ+ community was welcoming to offending pedophiles. Antis do this because they assimilate the proship label with problematic ships, mostly age gaps/underage content
C. Their account is brand new but they already follow a lot of proshippers. This is usually because they'll follow proshippers who've been posted on a blocklist, usually in the exact order that they've been listed too
If they're on Tumblr, they'll usually keep the people they follow public, so that other antis can find and harass those proshippers
D. Keep an eye on their follow list. Like stated above, they'll usually keep it public and 9 times out of 10 there will be an out of place antiship account, it's most likely their main profile/account/blog
E. They'll use their usual buzzwords on their own posts
For example, if they're trying to mimic a proselfship account they'll post pictures of underage characters and caption it things like "omg i'm such a pedo" and tag their post with proship related tags
Of course this doesn't apply to everyone, so it's always important to take context into consideration, as well as how many of these red flags may apply.
And lastly, please remember that the block button is your friend.
If someone's interacting with you and something about them seems/feels off, block and move on

Nagi Hachinoya Novel
Essence of a Bouquet
Track 03 - Healing that occurs when you awaken your Empath Chakra
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Hideko "Everyone is looking much brighter now, a huge difference from when you had first joined. Can you sense your happiness approaching? Now, today we shall awaken our chakras together-"
Master Hideko seemed divine and full of love today as well, just like a Goddess.
Black cat avatar "Wow, today was a great gathering as usual! When Master Hideko awakened my sixth chakra, I felt a whole new world open up in front of me. Is this what they call a vision!?"
Nagi "It's cool that you managed to see it Norisuke-san."
Norisuke "Aw Negi-kun, you couldn't see it? I thought we'd be buddies who opened their chakras at the same time too…"
At the usual lobby in mahorova.
Norisuke-san was the person with the black cat avatar. Though he said it was a fake name. That's why I gave him a fake name too; "Negi".
This is our 4th gathering. Norisuke-san has attended every one so far, and always makes sure to sit beside me. Master Hideko's sermons were helpful, and I was happy that I was getting along better with Norisuke-san as time passes.
Norisuke "By the way, it seems like they'll be holding an offline meeting at their company building in two weeks. I think it'd be great if we could meet Master Hideko in the flesh…"
Nagi "That does sound great."
Norisuke "Right? …Oops, look at the time, I gotta go! See you at the next gathering!"
Nagi "See you later."
~~~~
After logging out of mahorova, I couldn't help but feel liberated. I head towards the living room, wondering if there was anyone there. I was feeling so elated I skipped my way there.
Ryui "The hell you prancing around for. Some of us are trying to watch TV here."
Toi "You look like you're in a good mood Nagi-kun, did something good happen?"
Toi and Ryui were watching television in the living room."
I bow slightly in apology for interrupting them, and look at the screen myself.
…Apparently it was some news about some fraud company getting exposed.
Ryui "Lately there's been some shady business going on, something to do with fake spiritual goods and techniques and what not."
Nagi "Ooh that sounds scary."
Toi "Isn't it unforgivable!? People and spirits alike, we all just want to be happy. I can't believe there are people taking advantage of others' good will to try and make money off of them."
Nagi "Yup. It's unforgivable."
That's right, everyone is searching for their happiness. That's why we give it our all everyday.
That's why, after I test it out a bit more, I want to share this with everyone at HAMA Tours. About Master Hideko's power, and how great Secret Energy is.
Ryui "Claiming that your dead kid is suffering, that your ancestors require a memorial service urgently… People who take advantage of other's weaknesses and make a whole business scam out of it ought to get the death penalty."
Toi "Yes… I'm sure God is watching over us. Right…?"
Toi and Ryui were talking about spiritual business scams.
Meanwhile, I-
'If only I had access to Secret Energy back then…'
Then maybe I could have been of help to Minemori-san. I couldn't help the feeling of regret that welled up as I remembered her face.
The autumnal sky was clear that day, and left a deep impression on me.
Nagi "Huh?"
I came by the laundromat as I usually do, but it was closed right now. Even though it was normally open at this time. I found it strange, so I went around the back and pressed the intercom button.
Mrs.Minemori "Ah… Hachinoya-kun? The shop's closed today… no, we'll be closed for the time being."
She was crying.
I rushed to her immediately.
Nagi "What happened?"
That's when I learned.
That her husband was hospitalized after falling off a ladder and breaking his hip. That the bluebird they took care of flew out of the window and never came back. That someone had scammed them out of a large sum of money by using the name of their disowned son. They had reported it to the police, but it didn't seem like it would be resolved any time soon. This series of unfortunate events had turned their life upside-down overnight
Mrs.Minemori "The shop has been struggling lately… even if we turned it around now, we'd still be in debt…"
Nagi "……"
Mrs.Minemori "I was thinking that maybe it was time I closed up shop…"
Minemori-san, who was always so bright and smart, seemed very frail right now.
I couldn't bear to see her like that, so I couldn't help but blurt out-
Nagi "My kidney."
Mrs. Minemori "What?"
Nagi "I'll sell one of my kidneys, so please use that money for your store."
Mrs.Minemori "What in the world are you saying child!? We're really ok, so you should just run along! You have a part-time job to head to don't you?"
Not wanting to worry me, she gives me a brave smile. As if trying to convince herself, she keeps repeating that they'd be ok, and closes the door on me.
Nagi "Are you pleased with this?"
Customer "Wow! It's so cute!"
Whenever I make a bouquet for a customer, I receive a bright smile. A face of "happiness".
It was raining outside. I'm sure it was raining where the laundromat was at too.
Someone like me, who has no family nor money… the only thing I could do was tie some flowers together, and send it to them.
Nagi "Senpai, could you take the cost of this bouquet off my pay?"
Pink roses, baby's breath, and lily of the valley. With my knowledge on flower language, I hoped it would provide them some strength, even if only a little.
Even for just a moment, I want them to remember the scent of happiness.
Nagi "Muuun…."*
I already have enough happiness, that's why, I wanted to give it back, no matter how little. That was my wish.
Nagi "I'm sorry for bothering you again."
Mrs.Minenori "Oh Hachinoya-kun, what am I to do with you… I told you, we're alright…"
Nagi "Actually, I-"
I've lived with unhappiness every step of my life.* That's why I'd be ok even if I can't be happy. That's why, I wanted to give my happiness to these two irreplaceable people instead. Because they were kind to even someone like me-
Nagi "I was the child that was abandoned here back then."
With this bouquet, let me protect the both of you and your store.
Notes
Flower Language for the flowers Nagi picks for the couple (taken from Japanese websites for closer accuracy to original intent) Pink Roses: Gratitude Baby's breath: Happiness Lily of the Valley: Return of happiness
*'Muuun' is the sound he makes when he's instilling his happiness energy/thoughts(念) into the flowers, literally.
*Nagi literally says "My existence is like unhappiness itself" but that sounded a little off so I changed it. What he means is he's been unhappy all his life and is used to it already.
Currently rewatching season 2. This show is so fucking good. I joke about hating it, but it's soo. It's just. The supernatural of it all, man.
Theres this scene in ep 19, the prison episode, where Dean's talking to their lawyer, this business woman who's there to just do her job and get them a better deal than a death sentence.
She's a good lawyer, so she starts looking up their past, the routes they've taken and the footprints they've left behind, and every single witness ends up saying the same thing, Those boys saved me. Can't tell you from what, but I owe them. The statements lead her to a still, she starts questioning the faults and explanations, makes her feel like there's more to each story than she's willing to know.
And at one point Dean asks her for a favor. And he says, If you're as smart a PD as I think you are, then you can tell with just one look whether or not your clients are guilty, okay, just like that. So I want you to look at me, really look, and you tell me – am I guilty?
And Mara, this nobody lawyer who knows about Sam and Dean through the news, has seen the files on murders and grave robbing and arson and scamming, looks at Dean in this eyes and decides that all evidence--piles and piles of FBI record keeping--is suddenly bullshit. Because some other nobody across the state said, They saved me and, more than that, Dean Winchester has a look in his eyes she's never seen before.
She's never really belived in heroes--never really thought there could ever be someone who cared about this dirt ball of a planet enough to fight for it, but here, sitting between glass, sorrounded by guards, and communicating through cheap county jail telephones, she thinks she might've been wrong.
Henriksen said this guy's a monster, but Mara's worked with monsters before and they've never looked at her like this. Like they've got a purpose bigger than her, a goal, a heavy duty to some path she can't quite see. There's something about him--something bigger and other that she's not sure how to go against. Not sure if she wants to.
She looks at him and the world seems to, insanely, blur at the edges around him. He looks--good. As in, actual, care for people, good. The type of good that edges on theoretical altruism. It's insane.
And maybe that's why when Sam and Dean escape the prison, and Henriksen demands, Where are they? She just lies. Easy. Not knowing why she should, or where they're going, or if they'll ever see each other again. She lies and doesn't even feel bad about it because somehow she knows, trusts, that it's the right thing to do.
Like I know it's for the narrative okay, I know it's just for the plot to move forward, but the idea that Sam and Dean might seem just as supernatural as the monsters they haunt is something so juicy to me.
Text Message Scam Going Around
Hey friends, There's a new text message based bank scam going around, and it's specifically targeting more localized regional banks as opposed to the big ones like Bank of America or Chase. You'll get a text that says "Hey did you buy XYZ for $xxx amount in a Walmart in Sacramento California? If so, please respond YES or go to this link." And the link will be some official sounding but not correct web address linking to a website with some very convincing logos and such. And since it's your local bank... one that's not a big name and unknown outside your area, you might miss the warning signs to follow... sending codes. Asking for banking info. Etc etc etc. And it occurred to me and a lot of people might not know what to do in this situation, or how to find out if it's legit. So here's a quick run down on what to do if you get contacted by "your bank" and you don't know if it's legit. First off, do not click on anything, call any numbers given, or respond in anyway. Don't do it. Not even to troll them. The people on the other end are in data gathering mode. They probably have partial information on you from a hack elsewhere and they're working on completing your profile. Do not engage, or they will know that contact method works and might be connected to exploitable things. Take a screenshot of the text/email, and call your bank. Use the number on their website or on the back of your debit card. Again, don't use anything in a link sent to you by text or email. Google them and find their fraud or customer service number that way. Also be wary of autocomplete on your phone grabbing the number from the suspicious message or email. Talk to someone in your bank's fraud department. Let them know you got a message about potential fraud but you think it might be a scam. Give them the information from the text and follow their instructions. In this case, you called them, so it's safe to give them your information because you know for sure who they are. If the "fraud alert" comes from a phone call, never be afraid to just hang up and call your bank from a trusted number. If it was really them, they'll still be able to help you and have record of the attempted call. And they'll definitely understand. Rest assured, you are not bothering them. They are your bank's fraud department. Talking to people who might be defrauded is their job, which your fees pay for. This is rare and scary for you. It is Thursday to them and you're the fifth person to call them that day. They're just grateful you followed good practice and called them now instead of after the fact. Some red flags to remember: - If YOU are contacted BY THEM and asked to confirm sensitive information such as name, SSN, account numbers, passwords etc. Why would the bank need this if they called you? If this happens, take the advice above. Hang up, look up their number, and call them back. If you call them (and you know it's them) they may ask you to confirm your identity with information like that, but YOU called THEM in that case. - If you are being pressed to take immediate action because of... something. Illegal activity. Threats of closing your account. They'll make it sound dire. They want you to act and not have time to think about things. Again... if something feels off, just hang up or block the number texting you and call the actual bank. - Asking for nonstandard methods of payment such as gift cards etc. - Asking for things like "test transactions." Again, they're trying to connect dots. Some dots they might already have (say, a phone number, your name, and part of your credit card number) and they want to confirm they work and/or connect them with new information. Stay safe out there, folks.
Scams and you - Part 2
Here are a few more scarms I forgot to mention in my previous post.
Anyone who offers you a job saying all you need to do is:
Rate products by clicking a button and you'll get paid.
Buy products which you'll be 'reimbursed' for buying.
Have packages sent to you and all you have to do is ship them.
Is trying to scam you and/or get you to participate in illegal activities.
Another scam I've seen recently on Tumblr is the 'I Want to Use Your Photos for Mural or Painting' Scam and the follow up to that, the Recovery Scam.
Also known as the 'Instagram Scam', scammers will message you saying they want to use your photos/art in their use in a collage or mural and then telling you (the victim) that they will pay you huge amounts of money via check. They will tell you that you will get large amount of, lets say, $2000 dollars, that you are to keep $500, and that you have to send the rest back to them/their 'client.'
This money is not real. The check is fake.
You will be sending your money to the scammer, with no way of getting it back.
Part 2 of this - The Recovery Scam.
On any post involving you or another person being scammed, you will typically find and see people trying to pull off this scam. This person will say that they 'lost money but <name> on <social media> helped them get it back. All you have to do is contact <name> here <phone/insta/etc> and they'll 100% make sure you get your money back.'
When contacting these scammers, they will boast they've helped dozens/hundreds of people get money back, and will even show fake screenshots of people they've 'helped'. These scammers sometimes even claim they have access to things like twitter/insta/facebook where they'll have their 'certified team' investigate the person who scammed you.
All you have to do is pay them a small amount of money for their time and the use of their.. 'tools' and/or give them your bank details so they can get you your money back.
They will not recover your money. They will not 'ban the scammer' or get them 'arrested'. It's all a lie and a ruse in their scheme to get more money out of you.
In some cases they may even ask for your name/password so they can 'hack' into the system to get your money back from the bank, to unban your account, etc.
It's all a lie. Block and report their account/messages immediately.
If you fell for a scam, talk to your bank or paypal and dispute the charge.
--------------------
It should go without saying, NEVER give out your username or password to ANYONE you talk to online. Especially when sensitive information like your name, address, and bank details are at risk.
And never change your email on any social media or messenger platform 'because some guy told me he would help me.' You will get locked out of your account and there will be no getting it back.
Please stay vigilant folks.
---
If you think you're being scammed, reach out. My inbox is open for stuff like this. I'm not a professional but I know a lot about these things and would be more than happy to help people out who really need it.
Hey it's me, the person who keeps bugging you about your headcanons lol. I really liked ur take on Seele and Sampo, even though you said you're not super familiar w her character! To me, they feel like they have a more outwardly hostile relationship similar to Kaeya and Amber from genshin (which i'm not sure if you've played or not lol) and so i agree with you on a lot of ur points! I'll try to stop after this, but if you have any headcanons for either Natasha or Serval and Sampo's potential relationships, I'm all ears!
Hi anon!!!!!! Don't worry, you're not bothering me at all! I love answering your asks!!!
I have played Genshin and, yeah, I can see the Kaeya&Amber comparison! It's pretty on point.
I don't really have aby headcannons per se, but I can give a small relationship analysis between the characters? Hope it's a good enough trade off!
So, Sampo came to Belobog a month or two before the Underworld was sealed in which he spent time just observing the city, trying to understand how it works so it's not obvious that he's an outsider. He educated himself on Belobogian history, traditions, language, slang and the like.
Then, the seal happened and, as a way to help the Underworlders without just barging into Natasha's orphanage and being like ' I know you know nothing about me and I just kind of spawned in here. Don't question it. I can help you'. No, he needed to build a name for himself first. So while he was starting up his scamming business he would leave bandages and medicine vials for the moles to find and give Natasha.
Of course, she realized that it's not a coincidence that medicine, something she needed, something that was hard to obtain, just spawning around for the moles to find. So tries and catch however is leaving the medicine, and that's how Sampo and Natasha met.
After that they started working together. Delivering Medicine bled into delivering medicine and intel until slowly a friendship was created.
I know a lot of people like to imagine Sampo and Natasha being close friends and 'oh Natasha can read Sampo like an open book' but personally that never really spoke to me?
The way I see it, it's a business casual friendship. An unlikely pair forming from having to work together due to circumstances. Natasha does care about him, but she can't trust him completely. She wants to, but Sampo isn't making it easy. She recognizes that he's not a bad person, but aside from that, everything around him is blurry. His origin, his thoughts, plans... there's no knowing unless you are Sampo Koski.
Sampo, although he's not a fan of the way she views the world, does want to help her. There have been talks about him officially joining Wildfire, but he always refused, never really explaining why. He wants to help Wildfire, and he does! It's just he always keeps his distance because he recognizes he doesn't belong there. Sampo Koski, the persona, the role, has no place with the heroes of the story, he's in it as a catalyst, not as a protagonist.
Bottomline is, the way I see it Natasha does want to be closer to Sampo to understand him better, but he's not letting her due to personal reasons. She never really persisted since she didn't have the chance to do so due to her responsibilities with the clinic and Wildfire.
And soon enough, now that the underworld and the overworld are united once more, she'll never have the chance since they'll be on different social statuses and Natasha, a hero in her own right, will stop working with Sampo, a criminal.
Serval on the other hand........
I don't have many thoughts. I kinda see them as people who got along but never were close friends. It's like a friend you see once every six months and have fun with. But not one that you go out of your way to get close with.
From Sampo's perspective the friendship had the benefit of watching Serval work and learning a few things by observing.
Now that the Overworld and the Underworld are connected I don't think Serval would ever go out of her way to find and hang out with Sampo. Like I said, it's not a friend you go out of your way to get close to.
As for relationships.... Boy do I have thoughts. It deserves its own post to be honest
Hazbin Art Scam
Hey everyone. I've gotten a few of these scam DMs from people pretending to be in the Hazbin Hotel fandom, so I just wanted to share some information and make others aware of this scam. I am sure a lot of people would see the red flags through their DMs with these people, but this is also so you can spot when one of these accounts has followed/DMed you so you can just block. It sucks to get your hopes up about meeting a new Hazbin Hotel fan, only to realize you're talking to a scammer.
So, this is how the scam starts. You'll see someone has followed you out of the blue. Typically they don't like any posts and it is unclear how they found you or why they have any interest in your content. It happens sometimes, but it doesn't stop there. If you look at their page, it looks normal at first because they'll have a Hazbin Hotel related profile picture and banner. It tends to be themed around one character in particular, mimicking how a lot of fan blogs look. Usually they'll say they're an artist, but they either only reblog other art posts instead of posting their own (without tags normally) or any art they post is clearly stolen. They're a bit buried but, if you scroll enough and the latter is true, you will find it.
Their bios, in general, look real enough, though if you look closer there's usually a "nonsense phrase" stuck in there that makes you give it a second glance. They also commonly have hashtags in their bio, showing they have no idea how Tumblr works. Here are two examples from the two I had message me:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They will message you almost immediately after following, saying "hey", "hi", or something similar. They'll start some small talk with you enough to make them seem like a genuine Hazbin Hotel fan before getting down to business (mostly asking your opinions on stuff).
The biggest tell is they always seem to ask two things: They will always ask who your favorite Hazbin Hotel character is (even if that information is extremely obvious) and they will ask you if you want to see their commission work or artwork. It's typically under the guise of having OCs they want to share with you, also asking you if you have OCs.
This is their side of the conversation from one that messaged me recently. I went along with it a little more just to see how it would play out:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I linked the commissioned art they showed me back to a Fiverr account (like, it's literally just the example pictures) they had no connection to. Don't be convinced by them getting defensive when you point out it is extremely bizarre to randomly offer someone OC art when you know nothing about them or their content. It is weird, they just want to guilt you into thinking you're being overly cautious so you'll go along with the scam. If you wanna know how outright bizarre this is, my Hazbin Hotel OC is readily available information in my pinned that anyone can access at anytime, even the slightest look at my page would have told them that.
I didn't see the scam the whole way through for obvious reasons, but. For anyone new to Tumblr, like actual users, just so you know this is not normal Tumblr etiquette at all, especially in fandom spaces. Someone messaging you right after following you isn't weird...granted they actually have interacted with you or your posts beforehand and actually talk to you about this rather than asking questions anyone could ask. Most of the questions these scammers ask is based off of basic knowledge you could find through a Google search (like character names, the fact Hazbin Hotel is getting multiple seasons, and so on) without going into any specifics or normal fandom talk like headcanons or gushing. Any time you mention something specific, they will deflect it or ask another question so they won't have to admit they know nothing about the show or its actual contents.
Plus, if an artist really wants to draw your OC, they'll probably send you an ask or a DM directly asking permission, not try to coax you into it through vague small talk or showing off the art you should already be able to see on their page. Or, if you've made it clear you are okay with people making art of your OCs, they'll just do it and tag you. You'll probably have seen them around in your fandom spaces too rather than them just popping up out of nowhere. If someone you've never heard of or seen before follows you and immediately messages you, especially if they're claiming to be an artist with no pinned or very little information about it, it's best to just block.
Mabinogi is a game plagued by veteran players saying shit like "why are no new players signing up? The game must be too complex!" While at the same time perpetuating the most toxic "community" I've ever seen full of "guild interviews" and shit that turn the game into a social nightmare and practically a second or maybe even third job for any regular casual person who just wants to enjoy an MMORPG. The culture has become so much and I don't say this to just vent, I say this because I've been saying for a long time that there needs to be a change in the way the mabi community outwardly presents iself; because I DO know some chill cool people in the community; but not nearly as many as the toxic people. So fuck it, I am going to dedicate myself to raising those voices, being the change I want to see; and hopefully being able to help some people get into what is honestly a fantastic game with one of the WORST communities I've ever seen if I'm being entirely honest.
Here's the one thing I really want to say about all of this though, if you read/hear about any of the dumb shit I say players do; and you think "I have literally never done any of this nor do I think like this??" Great the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it; you're not one of the bad eggs then! That's good and trust me when I say you'll probably come up when I talk about the people who I actually think make this game and community worth being a part of. Because yea there ARE good, chill people out there. However I cannot overlook the absolute entitlement of the bulk of the playerbase because "Not All Milletians" are weird about this game.
If you think I'm being dumb about this I need you to consider that, in 2024:
a player (friend of mine) was approached about being new, upon confirming they were new they were given some mid-high end gear and gold; only to be told they were "indebted" to a guild because they accepted said gear. They were then told if they just blocked/ignored the individual that they'd be reported for scamming them. A new player who doesn't know any better being told that they'll be reported and banned because they are "indebted" to people who gave them free shit is fucked up, especially to tell them they have to work off their debt by joining a guild and participating in end game raids and shit? What the fuck.
I was approached personally and asked if I played the game "religiously" when I said I really enjoy the game and play often, but wouldn't put it that far; I was told that I wasn't worth the waste of time to even talk to. Because I don't take the game seriously enough if I don't "play it religiously." Yea alright.
I've had players new and old who insist on being "right" about the meta, and thus unprompted and unasked; will info dump about mechanics I understand fully as someone who has played this game literally since the NA beta. I politely explain that I know this and didn't ask for a lesson; only to be told I'm being rude because I should be grateful to be taught how to play the game. Again, I didn't ask. I cannot emphasize the condescending tone used to explain mechanics. Mechanics I didn't even get wrong? Nor that were even apparent for what we were doing?
I was referred to as an "archer fag" by a stranger for saying I enjoyed Alchemic Sharpshooter.
I saw a post on tumblr where a player literally said, in the year 2024 that "our guild is closed..." which is fine, but then... "but another guild who's friends with ours has interviews right now!" As if this is just a normal everyday thing that is sane for an MMORPG.
I joined a guild on an alt where I didn't explain to anyone that I'd played for as long as I have, and they; without talking to me about it at all paired me off with one of the other members of their guild for a "mentorship program" where I was to do weekly shadow missions and dungeons with this "more experienced player" to learn the game. This would have been fine if it was something I asked for or even wanted; but again unprompted; I didn't even know the guy they decided to pair me off with.
Upon joining most guilds I've been instructed to join discord servers and "be active in the discord server at least once a week or we will kick you." Your guild, your rules sure; but come on man I just want to play an MMO.
Like, this is the new player experience? We're all on one server now, and when I go looking for people who are welcoming to new players I find a lot of recruitment for guilds and "rush to the late game" type stuff. I find nothing for casuals, I find next to nothing for chill people who just want to enjoy an MMO. The community around Mabi is terrifying, and worse off; I literally have been told I'm "suspicious" because I will openly and enthusiastically engage with NEW players but I tend to be fearful and stay away from veterans who I don't already know. Can you blame me when so far my experience with other long time players has been so bad?! I hate that you have two options, you either silently put up with the way a lot of veteran players act; or you get ostracized and shunned for "being a hater" or whatever if you speak out about the problems with the community.
PROMPTS FROM THE BOURNE TRILOGY *  assorted dialogue from identity, supremacy, and ultimatum
who has a safety deposit box full of money and six passports and a gun?
nobody does the right thing.
you haven't slept for a long time.
why don't you sit down.
perhaps we can arrange a meet.
we've been through this.
you really don't remember, do you?
that sounds ominous. let me check my schedule.
what were my words? what did i say?
you move, you die.
thanks for the ride.
welcome to the program.
nothing in those files makes their sacrifice worthwhile.
i don't want to do this anymore.
they found a body.
i'm sitting in my office.
my argument is not with you.
we got a bump coming up.
what happened?
look, what's going on? why are these people after me?
i hear you're still looking for me.
everything i found out, i wanna forget.
i told you to come alone.
someone started all this, and i'm going to find them.
why would you doubt that?
who's your source?
tell me who i am.
i want to know what's going on.
i was hoping you had some time for me.
if there's something you're not telling me, i want it now.
i don't think that's a decision you can make.
you're u.s. government property.
i said leave me alone.
do you have any idea who you're dealing with?
what basis are you continuing this operation on?
i told them i believed you.
why are you helping me?
have you locked down the area?
you don't know the circumstances.
i wanted to thank you.
we got what we needed.
please don't hurt me.
we clear on that?
you start down this path, where does it end?
i can run flat out for a half mile before my hands start shaking.
i see the exit sign, too.
i remember. i remember everything.
backup will be arriving in approximately one hour.
did something go wrong?
what is this, a joke? some kind of scam?
you're the only person i know.
do you have ID?
if we stay here, we die.
i know how you're feeling.
off the record. you know how it is.
no more red tape.
i don't suppose it would do me much good to cry for help?
i send you because you don't exist.
you know i can't tell you that.
we're professionals. when an operation goes bad, we tie it off.
where are you gonna go?
you just asked for it?
this is where it started for me. this is where it ends.
everything you need is in there.
actually, i don't think they give a shit.
get some rest. you look tired.
these people will kill you if they have to.
good thinking.
so now you're going to kill me?
do you copy?
all right, we have to move.
you would probably just forget about me if i stayed here.
you can come up.
why don't you come in with me?
do you even know why you're supposed to kill me?
now why would i know that?
i'm sorry to hear that.
why didn't you take the shot?
it was a kill squad.
you know how real the danger is.
we can do that any time we want.
i come in here, and the first thing i'm doing is i'm catching the sightlines and looking for an exit.
how did that happen?
do something about it.
i send you to be invisible.
you're in a big puddle of shit, and you don't have the shoes for it.
i'm not worried.
who am i?
you couldn't make this stuff up.
you're a total goddamned catastrophe.
i can go check it out.
i'm not sorry.
i mean, you were shot.
i don't send you to kill.
how could i forget about you?
this isn't what i signed up for.
you talk about this stuff like you read it in a book.
i'm on my own side now.
i have the files.
it's not a mistake.
i'm just trying to do the right thing.
what are you after?
why did you pick me?
they knew you were there.
what the hell are you talking about?
we don't have a choice.
it gets easier.
it'll be better if we do this together.
they'll kill you for giving me this.
by god, if it kills me, you're going to tell me how this happened.
look at this. look at what they make you give.
people do all kinds of weird and amazing stuff when they're scared.
Hey Friendos. I'm gonna impart a little bit of knowledge on everyone about some scams that go around every few months, and that I've seen more than once on Tumblr so far.
Basic Premise: Someone messages you, sends you an ask, or otherwise shows up on your radar with a story. Often it's a believable story, like their cat is in need of surgery or they need to pay rent because they got kicked out or some kind of sob story and they're requesting you boost them or contribute if you can. A lot of the the time these things are scams. Like most of the time.
How to Tell if it's a scam: This can be easy. Look at their profile, look at when they followed you and sent an ask, and how many things they've reblogged, and check if they've made any posts on their own.
Here's some quick ones I see:
Everything they've done is all at the same time or from the same day. For example, every RB is from 8h ago. Maybe if the've done it before there's another day with like 50 posts all in a row. No one sets up their queue like that.
The follow and within a minute you have an ask/dm from them and they've never liked/rb'd from you.
They're using PayPal. PayPal is one of the most widely used money-sending tool for scammers as it's easy to get hold of someone else's account and perform further scams using it without leaving a trail.
Their cry for help is a single pinned post with very few reblogs and no verification.
They don't have any posts of their own, especially text posts.
Scammers don't like to use things like CashApp or GoFundMe because it's a lot easier to track scams, and payouts usually require ID verification. If someone is being legit, they'll probably have multiple avenues of receiving money. I'd use cashapp, set up a GFM, post about it constantly, and have my mutuals RB the shit out of my post by asking them directly for help.
Most of these are set up by bots in droves. They're a little more sophisticated, and are using the lessons learned from all those blank bot accounts you see come up as new followers. They've also been training you; "those random accounts are clearly bots and I'm talking to you like a normal person! I'm totally real and you can trust that because I'm using real words!" That sob story is meant to make you drop your guard. To make you consider that no one would actually try to scam people out of money with such a sad story.
Well there are people that shitty. There are scammers all over that have been manipulating your grandparents out of their retirement savings because they think you need to get bailed out of jail. Before that there were Nigerian Princes trying to give people money if only they could pay for the wire transfer.
Wire forwarding. Fake checks. Western Union scams. All of these things prey on our gullibility. Our sense of honor or curiosity or that someone made us feel special or wants to make us rich! Or our empathy and sympathetic nature, our desire to be helpful and get someone out of a bad situation.
I'm not saying you should think all of these requests are scams. I'm asking you to employ critical thinking, to look for warning signs and make a judgment call.
And if you're ever unsure, hit me up. I am more than happy to take a deep look at these things and give you my best opinion, free of cynicism. I've gotten hit by 4 of these in the last month, so I've got a decent eye on what to see.
(1) QUEEN OF PENTACLES - TEN OF CUPS - ACE OF WANDS.
I GOT A STRONG YES. WITH THE QoP BEING HERE, I CAN TOTALLY SAY THAT THE YOU'LL GET IS WILL BRING YOU ABUNDANCE BUT THIS ALSO TALKS ABOUT BUSINESS SO I'M NOT QUITE SURE IF YOU WANTED TO OPEN UP A NEW BUSINESS RATHER THAN WORKING TO OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU'LL LIKELY TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS FIELD, YOU CAN USE YOUR TALENT. WHILE I'VE GOT AoW WHICH INDICATES TO ME THAT YOU WANT TO START SOMETHING NEW ABOUT YOUR LIFE, PHYSICALLY. THIS TALKS ABOUT TOO FINDING NEW PASSION AND ACCEPTING CHALLENGES OF WHAT LIFE HAVE GIVEN TO YOU. I SEE HAPPINESS, STABILITY AND GOOD NEWS COMING THROUGH YOUR WAY. THE ARIES, SCORPIO, SAGITTARIUS, GEMINI AND VIRGO SEASONS WILL PLAY BIG PART FOR YOU BEFORE THIS YEAR ENDS.
(2) FOUR OF WANDS - PAGE OF WANDS - TEN OF WANDS - TEN OF SWORDS.
POSSIBLE BUT HOWEVER IT MAY PROBABLY NOT BECAUSE I'VE GOT TWO CARDS SAYS YES AND TWO CARDS SAY NO HERE, SO MAYBE IN SOME SORT OF AREA, THIS PERSON DON'T FIT IN WITH THE STANDARD YOU SET FROM YOUR IDEAL ONE. I SEE THAT THIS PERSON IS VERY FAMILY- ORIENTED, THEY'LL GIVE YOU THE FAMILY YOU WANTED. I THINK WITH THE PoW, THIS PERSON IS SOMEONE IS A LITTLE BIT YOUNGER OR MAY HAVE YOUTHFUL SPIRIT BUT AS FAR AS I SENSE YOU SEEMS LIKE SOMEONE WHO IS OLDER THAN YOU, THAT'S THE REASON WHY I SAID ABOVE THAT THIS PERSON IN SOME SORT OF AREA IN YOUR IDEAL ONE THEY TEND TO DON'T FIT IN AT ALL. THEIR CURRENT ENERGY IS SEEMS LIKE THEY'RE UNABLE TO COPE IN WITH LIFE, THERE'S A LOT OF STRESS, ANXIETY, FEAR, PROBLEMS, BURDENS AND OTHER NEGATIVITY HAPPENING TO THEM RIGHT NOW. IT'S JUST VERY SAD SINCE THAT THEY JUST FEEL OVERWHELMED AND UNHAPPY. THIS PERSON HAVE INSOMNIA, THEY TEND TO HAVE LACK OF SLEEPS THESE DAYS. BUT I THINK THIS IS TYPE OF PERSON THAT DOESN'T EASILY GIVE UP SINCE THEY STILL HAVE THIS FIGHTING SPIRIT WITHIN THEM. THEY HAVE MANY EXCITING PLANS FOR THEIR FUTURE, YOU MIGHT MEET THIS PERSON THROUGH ONLINE OR THROUGH COMMUNITY/SOCIAL GATHERINGS. THEIR BIRTH CHART HAVE A STRONG FIRE SIGNS PLACEMENTS WELL IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THEY DONT.
(3) KING OF PENTACLES - THREE OF SWORDS RX - TWO OF PENTACLES.
YES. I'M ABOUT TO SAY NOT REALLY WEALTHY BUT DUDE AS I SHUFFLED THE DECK THE FIRST CARD POP UP IS KING OF PENTACLES, THIS INDICATES OF SUCCESSFUL OR WEALTHY BUSINESSMAN NOT GIVING YOU ANY HIGH HOPES SINCE I JUST CASUALLY READING THE MESSAGES HERE AND I KNOW ENERGY CHANGES BUT LET SEE IF THEY WILL IN THE FUTURE. AS I SAID WITH YOUR TWO QUESTIONS ABOVE, THIS PERSON CURRENT ENERGY IS FUCKED UP RIGHT NOW BUT THEY WILL OVERCOME THIS PAIN WHICH IS GOOD FOR THEM. THEY AREN'T PERFECT BUT THIS PERSON WILL TRY EVERYTHING JUST TO BETTERING THEMSELVES. THEY MIGHT INVEST MONEY INTO SOME SORT OF ORGANIZATION AND THEY MIGHT LOSS OR CAN GET SCAM SO THEY NEED TO WATCH OUT THAT. THIS PERSON IS THE ONE WILL HELP YOU WITH YOU TO HAVE STABLE AND SECURE FINANCIAL STABILITY, THEY'RE THE ONE WHO'LL TRYING TO FIND BALANCE FOR YOU AND THEM. EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE TYPICALLY TYPE OF OF SOMEONE WHO IS NOT A RISK TAKER BUT THEY WILL BE A GREAT PROVIDER.
Seeing alot of these with absolutely nothing on actually giving internet safety advice. Thank you for being the first one to at least talk about being sure of links. Be the internet safety advice you want to see! (on the internet).
So here are my 2 cents on internet safety. I know it won't reach anyone and it's probably not great advice but add ons would be greatly appreciated anyway.
•If there is a link from an unknown source you want to click on, copy paste it into your browser. You can make a hyper link look like a link to something else. You can also google common links (google knows what the rickroll link is)
•A source is considered unknown even if you've talked to them online a few times already. This doesn't mean you haven't made an internet friend, you probably have and that's great! Making a habit of being aware of where your going also helps provent seeing things you didn't want to see like that pesky rickroll.
•A link can download something onto your computer (like a background cryptocurrency minner) or steal your discord token (account) if that's a platform you're opening links from.
•If you use windows you will have a program called task manager. Once open there should be a "start-up" tab near the top of the window. If your computer is running slow out of nowhere you can look through there for a list of everything on your computer that runs on when you turn your PC on. Do not disable things without googling (or binging) them first, important things should show up so nothing is a bad sign.
•Task manager will also tell you everything running on your computer. You can close or "end task" these things. Some of the programs if end tasked will blue screen your computer. All of those ones are background programs.
•The "must be 18+" thing means there is something weird behind here. Sometimes that means porn, sometimes that means gore. Whether you are over 18 or not, saying you are at that wall means being fine with seeing what's behind it (because you cannot unsee that)
•All other times you should be either lying about or being vaugue about your age. Your grade level reveals your age so you should lie about that too. People who want to be nice to you should still treat you the same but people who are not will be targeting their trap at an age group. If you say your older they might not target you in the first place and if you say your younger they'll just be weird (people who think I'm younger are always like, creepy friendly with giving stuff and asking weird questions, do not recommend.)
•If you click a link and it immediately wants you to log in with your password see if you can get to that same page via other means. This is how Facebook and YouTube scams work.
•If a pop up says "you need to call [number] to keep using your computer" do NOT call that number. Do not touch anything. Remove all power from you computer, turn it off at the wall or let the laptop run out of battery. If it is not fixed when you turn it back on aquire someone who knows what they are doing with computers. When I say someone who knows what they are talking about I do not mean "oh teenagers know computers" I mean someone who probably knows a programing language or has an opinion on specific Linux distros.
•If a video on the internet has people doing weird stuff with electricity or mixing chemicals (chemical closet or cleaning chemicals chemicals, water is fine lol) Please research it really well before trying to replicate. Probably don't replicate anyway but even ant killers shouldn't be mixed unless you know precisely what you are doing.
•Don't give away your location. Just because they told you their location does not mean you can return the favour. Things you CAN say about your location, either your country or your time zone (preferably not both), spelling words based on your region (using multiple languages or "colourful mum" vs "colorful mom"), and "it's winter here" "I live near a forest" "I went down the road the other day to the coffee shop" type sentences. Still be vaugue though. Think before you post "if I read this from someone else would I know where they live". Don't specify which forest or coffee shop.
Considering it's mostly adults on here anyway instead of kids. Add the thing someone you know fell for (like an idiot and it's been pissing you off ever since) and then add how to AVOID IT. Instead of being mad we can share resources gosh damnit.
Really genuinely feel like we need to bring back internet safety classes.
Faltheriel finally showed up. Oh dear
Tumblr media
Meanwhile on Trixany's talk show, Daily Mail Dalaran LIVE!
Trixany: So run this by me again old frenemy--
Faltheriel: *shrugs* Old friend is fine.
Trixany: No. So, why is a necromancer's phylactery like a timeshare?
Faltheriel: Well, they all get sold on this idea that they can avoid becoming like their undead victims, as long as they have one of those things.
Trixany: Hrmmm...
Faltheriel: Hey, so let's say Steve just died to a bunch of adventurers. Now he's lying on the ground, a fetid corpse like the rest of his undead minions! A waste.
Faltheriel: I'm not going all the way to Scholomance to train, go through years of school and watching my flesh deteriorate from using death magic, and worse, rack up student necromancer loan debt only to end up like that. Like Steve.
Trixany: Ohh, the apprentice loan debt angle. That'll reel a lot of people in.
Faltheriel: Yes, and so they see it as an investment, in the end. You finish necromancy school, next thing you know, you're hanging out in the Western Plaguelands with your freshly raised skeleton army, and then some Death's Head cultist offers you a tour of a phylactery. And then you're inside thinking, 'It's not so small in here. My soul could probably live in this. Like at least for a century.'
Trixany: *arches fingers thoughtfully* That's um. Fascinating. How sad.
Faltheriel: A century becomes a millenia. Meanwhile, you're racking up payments all the time. And while you're gone, guess what? Your minions have to make those payments. Or if you don't have minions yet, the school pays on your behalf. Then you owe the school. It's a terrible cycle, these institutions get you either way. *crosses his leg* That's why Scholomance has been notorious for letting phylactery recruiters onto their campus.
Trixany: What a scam!
Faltheriel: By their senior year, most apprentice necromancers have paid into a phylactery scheme or other. They'll never get out of it. Or, you know, if they do avoid getting scammed, they face dying to adventurers and well, oblivion.
Trixany: This is just excellent uh... advice, Faltheriel. I don't know what demographic we're serving right now, and I'm really worried about who is out there in the "live" studio audience...
Faltheriel: *raises his eyebrows* Oh, I wouldn't call them that. It's very offensive to the necromancer community.
Trixany: *taps earpiece as producers freak out* Nevermind--Everyone here is getting a free phylactery! You're getting a phylactery, you're getting a phylactery! Every--LOOK, EVERYONE IS GETTING A PHYLACTERY!!
Faltheriel: Better.
I don't run this blog as if I'm a person talking to other people. It's just a humor repository. I rarely interact, because it's only in emergencies, like a scam on tumblr or other dangers. These rarely get on my radar, but I throw down when I see it.
It's a bad idea to every put personal info about yourself (or anybody else). You don't know who or what is lurking, trolls, lurkers, bots harvesting data and content. For example, your age could be cross referenced with all kinds of random info you post about, going back as far as your blog goes. Easy for bots or anyone with some basic software. And who knows what motivation there is? Your politics that somebody doesn't like, or your perceived politics, or values, opinions... Or they're just a psycho. There are lots of psychos on tumblr. Or bots who, well who knows what all they're getting up to. Harvesting data to hand over to the Chinese or North Korean governments, Russia, big pharma? Jeff Bozos? So, age, sex, location, job, hobbies? I suppose if any of these are vital to what your blog is about, like if you post about your favorite trains. Or you discuss important things that happen at the clinic you work at. But your specific age? That's got to be the riskiest one. Once that's out there, you're much closer to being identified specifically. Over years of blog posts, you might let it slip where you live, the field you work in, hopefully not your name IRL.
And requiring others to include their specific age? Really, requiring any data others may not feel safe posting anywhere online.
And I just want my blog to look a certain way. This blog doesn't have anything to do with my identity. It's not about me. Any demand to post personal details is presumptuous, entitled, unsafe, and just really bratty.
Just as I have a right to post what I feel is safe for me, and keeps me safe here, so does everybody. Posting "Minors DNI" is wholly appropriate. How many minors won't get the idea to make up a fake age if they're so motivated to interact with over-18 blogs? How does posting that request protect you from... anything? Isn't it more about your guilt vs plausible deniability? "He said he was 18. It's not my fault." The whole scenario just gets creepier the more we analyze it. Risks vs safety, right? Encouraging age-posting is the danger. Posting 18+ or 21+ or any other standard is legit, but telling others what they are or are not allowed to do is not your responsibility. It's over-stepping and creepy. I'm kind of doing that, but look at the context. Everything being equal would be to keep your needs on your blog, minus telling others what they are required to do, or face banishment. I may as well declare that I will block anyone who reblogs my posts unless they include their real first name and place of employment in their bio.
Our very inherent right is to block anyone we aren't comfortable with, without any obligation to state why. So many different kinds of blogs deserve to be blocked, I could never list them all, and most of the ones I'll block wouldn't pay attention to my bio, much less follow instructions. I could list five types of blogs I don't want anywhere near me, and they'll still follow or reblog or comment. I'd say some are even more likely to engage.
But it's reasonable all the same to say, "I'll immediately block anyone who's hateful, uses slurs, is obsessed with Go-Bots fan-fic, or thinks that sardines are OK to eat. (I like sardines, but I doubt I'd ever bring it up online.)
I Have Been Betrayed....
I dug too deep you guys.....I wasn' t supposed to know all this!
Ma'am, I'm just here to write my fanfic okay? (which I still need to work on. I have to somehow make Loki and Doctor Strange like each other.) I shouldn't know all this, but I do. And now you have to too!
As most of you already know, I'm pretty vocal when it comes to people acting like assholes online. I've already been dubbed the vigilante of simstagram.
"And with great power, comes great responsibility" - Uncle Ben
In doing that, I find like minded people (or they find me). On more than one occasion I've had people ask me if I could dig into[insert creator here]. Sometimes I find stuff, sometimes I don't. But this here found me!
Before we even get into the tea, let me say this (and I cannot stress it enough): I DO NOT HAVE A LIST! Don't even ask cause I'mma tell you right now, I ain't got it! All I have are these screenshots that were presented to me and the power of deduction!
So word on the street is Cowbuild, amongst other creators, have a "tracking list" where they "track" their Patreon subscribers in fear that they'll "leak" their content.
Well....I have a little birdie and this birdie sent me a series of screenshots. We'll start with these:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a conversation between birdie and Cowbuild. Now, Cowbuild swears up and down that there's no list. Well I also have the discord dms and they're tellin me a different story:
Tumblr media
I'm sorry, were you saying something?
"I will check and compare with my list so we can improve it and get ahead of these leakers" - Cowbuild. 2021
Here we go lying again! There will links to full receipts at the end of this post.
In the chat they mention a name "Snail Kitten" and to make note of them on their sheet. I'm assuming it's the coveted "leaker list". Cowbuild acknowledged it by saying "I can note it myself". Now, while I don't have the list, I have a name: Snail Kitten. Quick search on Google and....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, well, well look what we have here! Snail Kitten is a patron of Cowbuild! Only subscribers can comment on posts. Snail Kitten seems to be an active subscriber too! Snail Kitten seems to vbe a loyal Patron of a few creators. I bet you all they wanted to do was have some nice CC in their game. They did not ask for their information to be exploited on discord!
There's no other mention of them outside of Patreon. Except for mimotos posts. There's no other mention of them outside of that.
I have no way of contacting Snail Kitten, so if someone could send this their way, that would be much appreciated! They have the right to know their information is being shared in the discord!
Which shocked the hell outta me if I'm being honest! I expect this type of behavior from the likes of Cowbuild and HMB, and maybe even leosims but Bergdorf?! GIIRRRRRLLLLL!!!!!!
Now here's where the betrayal comes in.
You who else's name is mentioned? Bergdorf! B E R G D O R F !
I used her bags in one my posts! We connected over our mutual dislike of Deborah Hauzz! And then I find out you're just as bad? If not worse?! Like, Hauzz is a scam artist and bully sure, but as far as I know, she ain't out here sharing her customers information in a private discord. That's a literal invasion of privacy!
I feel so betrayed Bergdorf!😔
I've known about this for awhile. It's been hard keeping my mouth shut, but I did it! I knew all of this before I reblogged this post that was talking smack about Bergdorf. She then crawled in my DMs and I figured this would be a good time to catch her in a lie (and I did!)
Tumblr media
You say there's no way, then how come Cowbuild is just out here enlightening people the ways of the criminals? Think about it now. How could Cowbuild know the exact subscriber that "leaked her kitchen set". Also, how would she know that specific set? It's starting to look shady in here.
I can't make this stuff up people! I have a fanfic for that. There really is a group of y'all out here "comparing notes" of your subscribers, your paying customers, in case of the event that one of them "leaks" "your" content. And yes, "your" content because everyone's name that's been mentioned so far is a re-colorist at best. They buy their meshes and have the AUDACITY to be this uptight over it!
Tumblr media
Every other creator doesn't have to go through all of this. Why? probably because they're not out here being shady. They're not making email list of "leakers". They're not gaslighting their followers. They're not converting without credit. They leave credit where credit is due. And they're not that pressed over their Patrons.
Think about it now.
Tumblr media
Why do you think some creators require their Patrons to beg them for cc links? Yes, they beg. They beg in the comments section. "cAn I hAvE tHe LiNk?". Almost every comment on a post on Cowbuild's patreon is asking for a link. Sweetheart, you shouldn't have to BEG the creator for a link you PAID FOR! (read it again for those to don't understand) Cowbuild's stans love to call people "poor" and look down on others, and yet they're the ones in the comments begging for a link. Both hands out!
Of the two of us, who's actually the beggar? Cause it ain't me I'll tell you that!
This looks like the comments section of a YouTube video. The only difference is that these people actually paid for access to the link (and still have to ask🙄)
I think I've figured out how they're tracking their patrons: Sending individual links to specific people. Do you ever wonder why some Patreon creators say "I'll DM/E-Mail you the link"? It sounds little shady does it not? Especially when literally every other creator doesn't have to do that. If you've ever downloaded something from Patreon, you know that you can download content straight from the Patreon post. So why do all this under the table sharing? You paid to have access to the content and yet you still have to ask for it? That doesn't seem weird to you?
These people so paranoid that one of you is gonna re-upload their stuff somewhere (which happens anyway btw). So they put tracking numbers in the files to keep tabs on their subscribers. Allow me to remind you: THEY DO NOT MAKE IS CONTENT THEMSELVES. THEY BUY THEIR MESHES! I can't imagine fighting this hard for content I didn't even create. This isn't normal. REgular peopel don't do stuff like this!
A word to the community: This type of behavior will continue to happen as long as you continue to tolerate it. It's time to stop tolerating, and demand accountability! It's not enough to have have "drama of the week" and then then let them continue on about their day.
I mean......you know what you're doing is wrong. All of this is premeditated crimes. That's why you have this whole secret discord. That's why everyone mentioned in the chat is gonna be "hush hush" about it. You can ask them about it all you want, they're gonna deny everything I can tell you that right now! These are some pathological liars who love to manipulate. Of course they're not gonna admit to sharing the information of their followers with their consent!
And I have to laugh because guess what? You went through all of that shit, and we got your content anyway. You’re over here losing sleep for what? Tracking or not, we're gonna get your shit! So why bother sharing people's data? It's pointless.
It's time to take some action! Believe it or not, there are things you can do about it!
For starters, you can unsubscribe/unfollow these people. That's gonna be the most effective and practical thing you can do. (I'm 110% with you because let's be honest, patreon don't so shit!) If you're subbed to one or more of these accounts and feel uncomfortable about them sharing your personal information, you can send an email to [email protected]. Or report them them to Patreon (hell, do both!). Just by going from those screenshots, it seems like if you're a sub, your name might be on the list. This is no longer a "omg you copied" issue, this is security/privacy issue!
Your personal information is at risk!
TL;DR: Cowbuild, Bergdorf, and HerMajestyBuilds are allegedly sharing the names and emails of their Patrons. I have one Patron subscriber who's information has been shared and it's Snail Kitten (If you know how to get in contact with them, please do! they need to know!) I've already unsubcribed and blocked these people. You should do the same! Not amount of CC is worth your safety!
P.S: Here's a link to the full receipts
