"Yes, we first happened to meet while I still worked as a reporter. She worked as a writer for the paper- a recent hire, at that- and one day I happened to have to talk to her about the details on a new story. I can't remember what the story was, exactly, but.. I do remember it was quite tragic.

Maddie had always been odd, even since the beginning. I found that out quite quickly when upon seeing how sad I was, she decided to crack a small joke about the tragedy, of all things. I thought her insensitive at the time, remainkgn professional until I could 'get away from her' but.. nowadays I can see that she was just trying to help, in her own strange way. Even if it was.. still immensely odd.

Stray thoughts about my AU

Just thought to jot down my stray thoughts about my recent Clavell and Cyrano comic. CW for violence

The gist is that Clavell chases after the kids that make it to the crater, and intervenes when the PPP starts taking over the AIs. When they tell them to run, Clavell manages to corral everyone out of there in time, but gets stuck himself. (This sequence of events was never fully elaborated in my ask-blog's chronology.)

Cue some very angry manifestations of Professor Sada and Turo beating him up/calling him traitor etc. (I've drawn variations of this here). Fortunately, help does make its way to Clavell, and the AIs are destroyed (canon ask blog events is that they survive, and I kept things happening after ambiguous.)

The Clavell and Cyrano comic was dealing with an even messier aftermath for Clavell, where he's left with haunting memories of very scary/violent ais of his past friends (pining, maybe). Cyrano as a friend to comfort him and such is sweet and much needed. I doubt he's a villain, maybe at most having different ideals/approaches his academy to Clavell. (Hoping people stay true to their want for old man yaoi.)

Additional to this is how the Team Star kids rally around him despite not understanding the circumstances. (It certainly feels like Clavell got bullied lol). Anyway, all this is just because I enjoy tormenting Clavell and letting him address all of that with others.

I've often thought about why the hell I used him instead of Arven to explore all of this, but there's the shared history (knowing versions of Sada and Turo before they fell prey to obsession) plus the delicious thought of "Clavell is seen by the AIs/Professors as a traitor" + "Clavell feels guilty and angry over their actions and his own".

Lastly, keeping true to the profs, I doubt the AI/PPP would have ever ended up hurting Arven, at least not directly. Surprised fans of arven haven't woven AUs where the PPP kills off the rest of the squad with little remorse beyond spooking Arven in the process (Think "But Arven, this is for us, for our paradise." type justifications.)

Other than that I think they're all very pretty when they kiss lmao.

TLDR my imagination is a fun place and I wish I had all the energy, time and motivation to depict all of this imagery

head in hands idk what he waaaants he very happily ate some beef wet food yesterday morning but repeated attempts to feed him more have been snubbed. i mixed some in with dry food yesterday in case that would somehow make it more appealing? no. but i left it overnight and when i tried to give him new warm wet food he snubbed it in favor of the overnight wet/dry?? and he only eats a LITTTLEEE aughghg SPONGEY PLEASE
