can you imagine the guilt yomiel must’ve felt from accidentally shooting his own pet cat and just straight up not realizing until like chapter 16 where he sees the person he’s been fighting against the whole time was his pet cat. his only friend for all these ten years. all because he decided to bring kitty sissel with him on this last journey to try and get a new life. the simple fact he brought kitty sissel with him in a little cat carrier by his side at that moment, even when he met up with lynne, makes me ill. and and and. and. i don’t know how they got me to feel the possible dread of the entire series in this one scene that has zero context to it but they did it and i’m frightened

something i rlly liked was how much more we could see how twisted these two are. martin went wayy far out with this sequel in terms of the fucked up horror from playing with corpses. its awesome. it didn’t scare me that bad on a surface level but moreso on a realization level. i had to think about how fucked up it is and THEN it scared me. which is also still good btw don’t get it twisted.

it was also a TREAT to see the last two in the new style, and the more twf-esque style specifically being used to be a sort of odd one out, specifically used for when a the living become tortured or dead. awesome and interesting way to mix your art styles.

really makes itself stand out in every possible way from the original. good job martin this was absolutely killer. pun intended

the odd use of talk sprites here has been getting to me lately.

i think in the beginning and end, he’s actually mad at cabanela. in the middle, he’s simply saying a point during his power trip to feel the satisfaction of twisting a verbal dagger into cabanela’s heart before he kills him.

and it’s like. “yea obviously he’s mad”. but what i mean is specifically he’s mad that cabanela isn’t trying. for ten straight years, he hasn’t been trying to save his supposed “best friend”. to both him and us, the player, cabanela doesn’t even care. why would yomiel be mad about someone not trying at all to save their best friend- especially when they have the easy power to do so? when this is all apart of yomiel’s agreed upon plan and deal?
