okay headcanon time:
Wind Archer is generally not a super touchy cookie, but when he gets tired he always finds a very safe place for him and FS to rest because if he were to end up crumbled it would mean the darkness might consume everything (and everyone) he cares about...
Wind Archer becomes more bird-like when there's strong emotions. Whether it's fear or love, it doesn't matter. This is inspired by replesdant wind guardian or however it's spelled skin and the various ovenbreak skins that have feathers in them.
Wind Archer has lots of emotions but rarely shows this. Part of this is just how he is, and part of it is repressing emotions as he can't bare to imagine messing up and dooming the forest just because he had a breakdown wrong place wrong time.
Fire Spirit likes to bring shiny objects to Wind Archer as a gift. Wind Archer is more the kind to give weird contraptions, food, and shelter materials to Fire Spirit.
Wind Archer and Fire Spirit now work together and go around the world defeating darkness after they meet in the mines
Wind Archer is already shorter than Fire Spirit, but Fire Spirit still floats higher above him to seem even taller.
Windy uses his scarf as an emergency bandage for Fire Spirit
it took a while for WA to trust FSC in a forest, but eventually he was able to
Fire Spirit likes calling Wind Archer nicknames. Petal, Windy, Grassman, Fluffy, you name it he's probably called Wind Archer it. However, Archie is off limits due to association with Shadow Milk and the horrible experiments that Wind Archer discovered
Wind Archer on the other hand rarely uses nicknames, but occasionally he'll call FSC pumpkin
While Wind Archer Cookie is emotionally constipated, Fire Spirit Cookie has emotional diarrhea
Fire Spirit has been trying to help Wind Archer feel less on edge all the time
Fire Spirit literally starts glowing red and orange when he blushes because he is molded from flames.
Wind Archer blushes blue because I said so
more to come when I think of more
Yay headcanon time! 🥳 I had to much fun with this and I wrote a lot so be prepared for a ride. (Also tell me if I wrote something wrong, it’s 4 A.M. and I am tired as fuck 😭)
• I really like the idea of Wind Archer being more of an Acts of Service kinda of guy, I mean he kinda WAS created to serve but still. He would just go around doing a bunch of stuff for those who he cares about. Fire Spirit wants to train a little? Okay, let’s go. Millenial Tree needs him to send a message to someone? Done. Fire Spirit needs help in battle? On it. Sugar Swan would like some help for the festival? He already started helping way before asking. Still, Wind Archer has a special way to show love, only used with Fire Spirit, and that is cussing him, “insufferable” and “pumpkin” are his favorite, and even tho Fire Spirit should probably be mad, he have just received a special nickname so what was he supposed to be mad again?
• Wind Archer half bird? Yes. Definitely. It’s canon for me and I don’t care about what Devsis has to say. He has SO many costumes with bird features. I hc that he just feels uncomfortable with his wings normally so that’s why he normally hides them, but his little bird brain can’t be hidden and sometimes has a mind of its own, making him do and say things he probably wouldn’t.
• He definitely is more reserved because he is scared that if he shows vulnerability the darkness would take that as an advantage, and Wind Archer can’t make mistakes. He was created to protect and defend, he can’t let his emotions take the best of him. That’s one of the reasons why he was skeptical of trusting Fire Spirit at first (others reasons include him being a fallen spirit, being lazy, not taking his duties seriously… the list was long), but now Fire Spirit has proven that he can be trusted (he is still a lazy fallen spirit that doesn’t take his duties seriously but he is a nice guy). Still, even when Wind Archer barely trusted him, our boy Fire Spirit cared to much about the wind guardian who barely take care of himself, so he just HAS to take the duty of taking care of Windy.
• Fire Spirit’s love language, for me, is touch. That guy is touched starved and he is all over Wind Archer every opportunity that he has. (He will gladly take an arrow in the face if he can hug Windy for a little longer) Even tho his main love language is touch, he just can’t contain himself in giving Wind Archer some shiny gifts, part because his dragon brain just can’t stop thinking how incredible Wind Archer would be wearing those gifts (Fire Spirit half dragon supremacy I don’t care) but also because Wind Archer absolutely ADORES shiny stuff even if he tries to hide it.(Birds likes shiny stuff, so he can barely control himself). Once, Fire Spirit gave Wind Archer a little piece of jewelry and almost combusted when he saw Wind Archer wearing it.
Fire Spirit also uses Words of Affirmation a LOT. Wind Archer is not used with affection so even the littlest flirt from Fire Spirit leaves him all flustered. Fire Spirit probably likes to try out little pet names as well, he just likes the way it rolls out the tongue and Windy’s reaction is priceless, his favorite may be Windy but he will try any nickname he can possibly think of just to get Wind Archer to blush, still, he can’t forget when he almost got shot right in the middle of his face after calling Wind Archer “Green Bean”, like seriously who tf does that blue copy of a jester think he is calling HIS Wind Archer something like “Archie”, it is SO BASIC and BORING, Windy is WAAAY better and he would have gotten madder at this Shadow Milk guy if his crush wasn’t having a mental breakdown at the moment.
• I honestly loved the little Firewind in the boss rush banner because for me it just proves that those two go on adventures regularly. Fire Spirit loves the rush of a battle and Wind Archer likes to get rid of the darkness, and if they can do that together, well, why not? And if in the end they sit really close to each other, with Wind Archer attending to Fire Spirit’s wounds, quiet talks and small giggles, both of them blushing with the proximity and the intimacy of this moment? None of them mention it. (And I just envisioned Wind Archer with blue blush, I see your vision and I love your vision.)
• About heights, Fire Spirit is definitely higher than Wind Archer, but Wind Archer is physically stronger than Fire Spirit. Using an arrow is not as easy as it looks and honestly? Windy probably runs that forest up and down, left and right while Fire Spirit is kinda lazy to work out with the gym equipment he bought himself, he has some muscles sure but not as much as Wind Archer.

Hey! Just wanted to say that I'm loving your Divorce Era fics! Finished Pulse of the Machine a bit ago and I'm working my way through the rest. You do such a great job of blending all versions of Viktor's lore - OG, 2016, Arcane - into something that feels natural, exciting, and so very Viktor! And you even managed to incorporate some of the more controversial aspects of his 2016 lore while still maintaining his characterization! (something Riot chose to sacrifice for the sake of establishing the general feel of League's factions). As someone who played League for years and loved OG Viktor, it's so nice to see his pre-Arcane elements being included in the Jayvik community. Your work has been so fun to read, and just- Aaaaaaaah!! Words are failing me! Thank you for sharing your work with all of us! P.S. I hope you do decide to make a sequel to Pulse, since you've set it up so nicely for one! (How do they free Viktor from his condition? What is Renata going to do with that Hexcore-harvested plant venom? What shenanigans do Cait and Vi get up to on their Council-ordered leave? (Love how you write those two together too!))
So sorry this took me so long to answer, but I was literally speechless. Just… thank you so much!!! This means so much to me! I’ve still never played League, I only got into all of this in ‘21 when season 1 came out, but I really did fall in love with Viktor’s (and Jayce’s!) game lore, and did my best to learn all about it! There are elements of both that I love (for instance I adore Talis and lean a little more heavily toward Talis than Gio, but I do still love Gio and his bitter divorced dad energy). And I kinda just melded the two together in a way that I hoped was smooth and genuine, and to know that I succeeded? From someone who has been following the lore long before I ever got here?? It makes me wanna break down and cry with gratitude. I really do wish they had kept the Machine Herald, and I’m still salty about it. And for a while, I was super depressed thinking I could never again write MH because he doesn’t exist anymore.
But then I decided that he’s mine now, haha. I will keep him alive by continuing to write him. Which leads me to the second portion of your ask! I still would love to write a sequel to Pulse, I did have some plot bunnies marinating in my head for it, but I never really solidified it. It was more just a collection of scenes than a fully fleshed out plot. But hopefully one day!! I loved writing Renata, and I would actually also love to work in Naph and Ama, if possible. I’m obsessed with the idea that both those kids took one look at this fucked up, emotionally repressed and lonely asshole and basically did this…
Fucking priceless.
Anyhoo, thank you again for such kind words, you made my whole year already and it’s only February! 💖

your personal favorite Dad Harry headcanons ?
And I'm not talking about Harry being a dad to his toddler/infant/pre pubescent kids because we all know he would be a mushy, endearing, gentle mess of a dad. But like what kind of a father will he be to his teen/adult children ?
I think he would be a great Dad, still silly and goofy but also a bit disciplinary. Suppressive in nature given to the heavy trauma he carries. I think he would break a lot generational trauma cycles and try his best to show affection but I feel like Harry would refrain from showing his vulnerability to his kids. He would share very little of his life's events or raw emotions with them but he would create a safe space for his children to share anything and everything with him. I believe he would raise his children to be kind, mature people and they will be able to break through the wall and soothe their father out of his cocoon later in life.
But what do you think ?
Anonymous asked:
hellooooo!! so i’ve seen this topic floating around a lot, especially in fanfictions, and i was wondering what your take is on it: harry and children. would harry be a good parent? would he be inclined towards children? have a natural knack for dealing/interacting with them? or would he be too impatient, too emotionally repressed, just too uncomfortable overall to really connect with them truly? it’s more a question of children overall, since i can imagine interactions with his own kids would be maybe different, but feel free to tackle both topics if inspiration hits!!
Kinda talked about Harry as a parent here already.
But, overall, I think he'd be a good dad, though a bit awkward about discipline (he would probably take cues from the other parent on this matter). As I think with his childhood, he wouldn't really feel comfortable sending a child to their room, though, he'd probably shout on occasion.
He'd never abuse his kids (or any kids). Ever. Harry would never.
I agree Harry would probably show a tough front in front of his kids but make sure to be available to them when they're younger, but once they're older he'd probably grow more open with them. I think he'd definitely show them all the affection he never received.
For the other questions of the second anon, I think Harry would be inclined to have children. Harry wants a family because he never got to have one, and I think, that extends to having kids.
I also think he'd be super caring to children in general, like, I think he'd try to be for Teddy what Sirius was to him as a fun and caring godfather he could trust with anything. I think he'd get along with Ron and Hermione's kids too, like, I think Romione's children would love cool Uncle Harry that everyone stares at in awe when he takes them for ice cream, but he also pretends to be stunned when they wave sticks at him while running around the garden. I think Harry's kids, and the kids of people he's close to would get really weird whenever someone talks about the saviour Harry Potter. They scrunch up their face in confusion because he's not at all that serious and they heard him make a very unflattering impression of the head auror yesterday's dinner with Ron while Hermione shook her head smiling.
But if these kids were ever in danger, they'd see why people are in awe of Harry. He's going to be so scary when protecting his kids/Teddy/Romione's kids/etc.
I think he would get somewhat annoyed with random kids who want his autograph on the street or things like that, though. But, he'd just sigh and sign whatever they want "because they're kids, they don't know better". When an adult asks for an autograph on the street though, he'd be much less understanding and way ruder.

What do you think of the claim that “the beach episode didn’t prove anything. Azula wasn’t a good friend.”
I think they're completely missing point or deliberately taking stuff out of context. The Beach is not about "These characters are all good people actually", it is all about revealing hidden depths.
Ty Lee, the super happy, cheery character that seems so lovable, and Mai, the aloof, grumpy character are both dealing with the same trauma, aka being ignored by their parents, and deal with it in opposite ways: Ty Lee tries to get as much attention as possibly to fill that void, while Mai avoids getting attached to anything to prevent more heartbreak.
Zuko, the character we are constantly seeing being angry at everyone for the smallest thing, is actually furious at himself because, in his despair to please his father, he constantly acts in ways he would normally find morally reprehensible.
And Azula, the openly evil princess that seemingly had no issue with being evil, is actually super emotionally confused over why her mom had an issue with that side of her, and fears that means she wasn't loved.
She is arrogant and mean and wants everything done her way, yet she doesn't tell Chan and his friend that she's the princess because she wants to see if she could get people to like her for who she is as a person, not because of her status.
She is a terrible friend that is prone to putting people down when they easily achive something she struggles with, but she also feels bad for making her friend cry, apologizes, and actually admits to her jealousy.
She calls Zuko pathetic for caring about right and wrong, but her entire struggle with their mom is proof that does care about it too, she just has a VERY different idea of what "right and wrong" even mean.
She's disregarding the others' confessions as "performances", as if she considers it all insincere, yet she's clearly repressing the fuck out of her own emotions - leading to her breakdown in the finale.
It is a key episode to understand Azula as a character, and it doesn't not make a redemption arc inevitable in any way (in fact Azula was the only one of these four characters to get a tragic ending in the original show) - but because it shows her in a more sympathetic light and shows she's far more complex than the fanon interpretation of her (in which she's a """"pyschopath"""""), thus proving that a redemption is not impossible for her, even if it was something the showrunners clearly had no interest in (unlike the lead writer) people get mad.
God forbid the villain, even one that is just a teenager, is allowed to have feelings, insecurities, fears, or just generally be a human being while still being clearly evil. Unless the villain in question is Zuko, I guess.
This fandom is alergic to complexity.

Some artists that I think Arthur would really like cuz I'm kinda bored(aka, an excuse to show art history):
John Singer Sargent (1856-1925):
John Singer Sargent is an icon and his composition is legendary. He wasn't that focused on very intense detail as he was with form and it's amazing what he was able to do. Eye catching, yet unrendered. Realistic, yet simplistic. Though he paintings were phenomenal, I think Arthur would enjoy his charcoal portraits the most, though. They are so beautiful and I feel like Arthur would be fascinated by how Sargent was able to use tones to give the allusion of detail rather than actually drawing out the detail. I think Arthur would adore how Sargent made them feel so real with how simplistic the composition is.

Thomas Moran (1837-1926):
Thomas Moran is a landscape artist whose main muse was the vast American frontier. His most famous paintings are that of Yellowstone National Park and the gorgeous Grand Canyon. His oil paintings are colorful and vibrant and have so much emotion to them. Given that Arthur is often outdoors and is super connected to nature, he'd probably really enjoy Moran's oil paintings of higher elevation like canyons and mountains.

Alexandre Cabanel (1823-1889):
Alexandre Cabanel is a portrait artist who created some of the most iconic oil paintings to have ever graced our eyes. His academic style of painting focused a lot on detail and precise rendering, unlike Sargent. Given the general gloominess and the melodrama of his oil paintings, I feel like Arthur would really like the figures that Cabanel painted, especially considering how emotional they are. Arthur, being emotionally repressed, might connect even more with them because of it. Cabanel was a damn genius.

Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1825):
I know some of y'all are like "what the hell is Civil War hero and US President Ulysses S. Grant doing on this list?" Well, cuz he was a pretty dope artist too. In the few drawings we have from him, his main medium seems to be watercolor and his watercolor drawings are really unique. They focused more on composition than detail and they remind me so much of Arthur's own drawings, except they are in watercolor rather than lead or charcoal. I think Arthur might also enjoy how personal they all feel and how simplistic.

Winslow Homer (1836-1910):
Homer was an impressionist painter whose main muse was the everyday man and woman. His oil paintings are vibrant and full of life as they depict the everyday life of workers rather than people of leisure. Unrendered strokes from the brush put so much personality into the paintings and even life. Beautiful and bright paintings, all of them, but I feel like Arthur would connect most with the ones that depict land rather than the ones that depict water.

OMG, I also love the idea of Severus having a partner. Whenever I think about a post-war Snape, I can’t help but imagine him forming a small family. It doesn’t have to involve a child—a kitten or a parrot could be the little one of the house, or even a guinea pig. Someone small to care for.
But beyond that, what kind of partner would Severus have? I’ve always thought that if he did have a partner, it would be a Muggle. He’s tired of the magical world and wants to step away for a moment, which would lead him to start moving within Muggle society, inevitably meeting a Muggle. Although this also creates a conflict for me, since the only Muggle in his life up until then was his abusive father. But then again, he also put up with a lot of crap from many wizards. I don’t know—it’s a topic with so many layers, depending on the time period in which the story takes place and how the culture of both societies is portrayed.
Right? Like, let the man live peacefully. Let him have a quiet life with a house and a garden full of magical plants where he can research his stuff, read his books, and not be bothered by magical world nonsense or political intrigues anymore. With kids or without, it doesn’t matter—just let the man be at peace; he’s been through enough already. Honestly, I’m fully behind this idea. Because Severus wouldn’t care about being considered a war hero—he’d just want to be left alone.
As for the rest, Severus is a guy with a lot of issues, but mostly with a terrible personality. He’s got a strong temper but is also very repressed, though he can’t fully control his temper because he’s emotionally volatile. While I think a post-war Severus would be calmer due to less pressure, I also believe his emotional scars wouldn’t magically heal, so he’d still be a jerk, a git, and generally difficult to deal with.
That’s why I always picture him with a partner who also has a strong temper and enough backbone to handle his tantrums without being intimidated. Someone who’d tell him to go to hell and calm down before talking to them when he explodes. Probably someone used to dealing with emotionally and mentally unstable people, or someone who wouldn’t take his outbursts seriously and would just ignore him until he chilled out. I also see him with someone extroverted because he’s extremely introverted and would never make the first move in a million years. The other person would have to be the one to approach him and make him feel safe about the decisions he makes. Severus is incredibly insecure when it comes to emotional matters and would probably think no one could ever like him, mainly because certain people spent his entire adolescence calling him ugly and greasy, and that stigma followed him throughout his teaching years. That, and deep down, he has awful self-esteem and probably sees himself as a failure in general. So, I can’t picture him making the first move—it’s very hard for me to imagine. That super-confident, Byronic hero version of Severus in some fics doesn’t fit with how I see him. He’s insecure until someone proves there’s nothing to fear.
He’d benefit most from a confident, extroverted partner with the guts to take the initiative. Someone who understands he has a lot of baggage but doesn’t fall into a maternal/paternal role, because your partner isn’t supposed to be your parent. Your partner is your partner; they can understand and support you but aren’t your therapist. Especially for someone like Severus, who needs to work on himself, not rely on others to patch up his wounds. They can help him heal, but he has to do the work.
I actually started writing a Severus fic with a Muggle!Reader because I love the dynamic and found it really interesting. It’s fascinating to explore, especially since he grew up in a Muggle environment and clearly knows some things about that world. But I’ve always imagined that he completely distanced himself from it once his parents died, and probably didn’t have much contact with the Muggle world after becoming a Hogwarts professor, except when strictly necessary. By the early 2000s, he’d be totally out of touch with many modern advancements.
I also like that dynamic because Severus is a well-known figure—he taught nearly twenty generations of students, which is insane given how small the magical community is. Practically half the population must have had him as their Potions professor. Then there’s the whole "he killed Dumbledore" thing, being a Death Eater, and later revealed as a double agent. In a post-war AU where he survives, he’d basically be a magical-world celebrity, sparking very divided opinions. And that would give him massive anxiety. Like, on top of surviving (when we all know he wanted to die because he was so fed up with life), he’d have to deal with that nonsense? I 100% see him being much more comfortable with someone who knows nothing about him, has no preconceived notions or judgments, and gives him a chance to just be himself—or explore a side of his personality he couldn’t show due to his spy role and all the deception he had to maintain.
There’s also an interesting theme of cognitive dissonance—having prejudices against Muggles (which all wizards have, even the good ones, because they treat Muggles like idiots) and then being confronted with the reality of what Muggles are capable of. Especially given that he was a Death Eater and deeply hated everything Muggle due to his experiences with his father and the poverty he endured as a child in that world.
So yeah, 100% your headcanon because it’s mine too! 😂

My Yandere Neuvillette and Wriothesley characterizations
I feel like I'm mixing up these two's characterizations in my head so I'll write them down here as reference. These will probably change as we learn more about them.
Please feel free to submit any suggestions!
Neuvillette
He gives off a very paternalistic feeling--he's Father
Authoritative, comes off as condescending and judgy even when he isn't trying to be
Can read you like a book
Big fan of procedures and rules
Doesn't show much emotion on his face, but as you spend more time with him you can see the subtle shifts in his expressions
Super emotionally repressed (turbo virgin)...until he met you
Honestly I think he would be pretty relaxed and chill even as a yandere, not because he values your personal freedom or anything, it's because he knows full well that you'll never get away from him
I think he'd be a bit less relaxed and chill before you become his darling, because there's still a small chance you can get away from him (bonus points if you reject him. Then you will really see him slightly less chill)
Will probably try to court his darling first before trying more underhanded means
Generally acts like a gentleman even as he is keeping you imprisoned against your will
Not the type to get super angry, just disappointed. If you push him too far, though...
He has a lot of patience for your "shortcomings" because fundamentally he sees you as someone who needs to be "educated" and "disciplined"
I think that for him, you're the first person he feels something for, and that simultaneously bothers him and intrigues him--Him? Feeling things for a human??? Huh????
I think even if you get into a relationship with him willingly, he'll still eventually confine you in his house anyways. That's probably where you'll spend most of your time, but he'll take you out to the theater or something from time to time (even all powerful chief justices like to flaunt their darlings sometimes)
Doesn't really dote on you heavily, but he's pretty soft when it's just the two of you. Likes to kiss the top of your head and wrap his arms around you. Would really love it if he
But he also has high expectations for you. He'll make you read and memorize Fontaine's literature and laws, drill you on etiquette, train you on how to speak and act with him. It's not so much he thinks you're uncultured, he just thinks that everyone should be cultured, especially you
Won't use his cane to hit you (unless you really push him too far). Mostly uses it to correct your posture, tilt your head up, etc. (Spankings are a different story however)
If you're a shy and demure person, he will probably be very warm, protective and patient with you. Probably wouldn't even seem like a yandere at all if not for the controlling behavior. (Is this a daddy kink)
If you're more feisty and argumentative, he...will probably kinda enjoy that? On one hand you remind him of a certain archon he has to put up with, which annoys him because he sees you as a sort of refuge away from that, but on the other hand it further stimulates his desire to control everything about you, to tame you, basically. So I think he'll probably treat you more roughly
Wriothesley
Ok this one is harder especially because I really don't know what to make of him after reading his drip marketing description. So I will just write about how he is in my fic A Choice Forged in Blood
So Wriothesley is a lot like Neuvillette in that he's pretty stoic, but the difference is that Neuvillette is like that all the time, while Wriothesley is mainly like that because of his job/reputation. He is much more open with the people who know him well
I headcanon Wriothesley to be more "romantic" than Neuvillette
He knows how intimidating he is, isn't that bothered by it most of the time, but does sigh about it sometimes when he's just out and about and everyone gives him a wide distance
But when he meets you...ooh boy
Depending on whether you treat him normally or are scared of him like everyone else, he will approach you differently
If you treat him normally: *brain short circuits* he doesn't know how to react to that. He wants to approach you but doesn't know how without the fear of scaring you away. Ironically treating him normally only flusters him more. Will probably try to find out everything about you, and try to be around you as much as he can, blushes an awful lot when you're around
If you're scared of him: yeah he expected that and he's sad. Will keep a distance from you, still tries to find out everything about you in order to figure out how to appeal to you, gets really jealous when you smile around anyone other than him, kabedon maybe idk
Will try his best to hold back his growing feelings because of his innate morals, but it gets harder each day. He can't stop thinking about you
When he snaps eventually, oh boy (see: poor y/n from my fic)
Will just take you by force, will feel bad about starting off your "relationship" too forcefully but does NOT regret doing it in the first place
Tries his best to be gentle, likes to sit you on his lap, cuddle with you; will melt if you initiate physical affection with him
Enjoys going out with you (if he can do so without handcuffing your wrist to his) and simply spending time with you
Will be very protective of you, will still get insecure and compare himself to others
Just wants to be loved back and live in domestic bliss with you :(
Will be sad about it but won't hesitate to tie you to his bed if you get too rebellious

hey there, how do you feel about clark/dick and other ships with dickie and the JLA
hi!!! i *love* Clark/Dick!!! i think there's so many fun ways to do that ship, it can be very fucked up and almost incest-y, playing up the "Uncle Clark" bit, but also i'm personally very personal to Clark/Dick that happens when Dick is Batman and Clark is coping with his grief over Bruce and trying to fill that hole with Dick. it's fun even if Superbat never happened and Clark's feelings for Bruce were entirely platonic and things just get tangled in the mess of trying to treat Dick like an adult while also still not seeing him as big enough to fill Bruce's shoes. it's a delightful age and power gap, where Clark's respect for Dick is always going to be founded in a mentor-type bond which makes them so messy.
and it's super fun to play with Clark giving Dick the name Nightwing and how much Clark had to trust Dick with something so Kryptonian. he helped raise Dick almost as much as Bruce did and was a guiding figure for Dick during Bruce and Dick's worst times. which is so fun, if the person Dick goes to when he's pissed at Bruce ends up being someone he's romantically/sexually entangled with. because there's always going to be the questionable age gap and how they met, no matter how old Dick is when they "officially" get together. i could really see Dick sleeping with Clark to get back at Bruce during Dick's Discowing era, and it ends up causing complicated feelings either of them are willing to confront. in general i like the complicated feelings of Clark/Dick the most in any version of this ship. there's at least a dozen obstacles keeping them apart, so their relationship would be difficult and rocky to make work. they don't always agree and their relationship isn't as wholesome as it seems on the surface. Clark reacted *wildly* negatively to Dick as Batman when it first happened. he likes Dick, but i think it's really fun to play with Clark being averse to viewing Dick as an autonomous adult and how that affects them ad a ship.
as for other JLA ships with Dick, i'm open to just about any but don't really have developed thoughts besides Dick/Oliver. i think Oliver'se deep dislike for Bruce combined with his concern for how Bruce raises his sidekicks could work so well with an accidental relationship. like, Oliver keeping in touch with Dick and trying to form a mentoring bond just to make sure Dick isn't too controlled by Bruce and is well taken care of, and having that accidentally spiral could be so fun. because Oliver would be *horrified* and it'd conflict with him morally, even if Dick was a consenting adult. that's his son's best friend, and now they're sleeping together? Oliver keeps trying to break it off but he can't seem to stop. Dick is like a bad habit. it's fucked up and that's half the fun of it, the taboo nature. i also think Oliver would emotionally provide very well for Dick, who's trying to figure out how to exist on his own without Bruce. it'd be very "best friend's dad core" with all the age gap comments from Oliver while he's kissing Dick and how his love for Dick will always be just *slightly* tainted by that fatherly love. i think it's fun and fucked up.
i do sort of like Hal/Dick. but like. 80s/90s Hal who kind of sucked and was full of unaddressed bigotry and did some fucked up things like dating that teenage girl. like if you want a ship *full* of repressed internalized homophobia and "well i'm not gay this doesn't count" complexes, i think this works remarkably well. Hal is morally questionable enough to fuck Dick regularly and Dick still crawls back to him, even as Hal is in complete denial about his own sexuality and makes vaguely homophobic comments about Dick, while fucking Dick. just a grown ass man projecting all of his issues onto the 20-something hero who just wants a good fuck. i'm a big fan of Dick fucking older men who are cruel to him, almost as a form of cathartic self-harm. and you can pull that off pretty well if you work with Hal at his most asshole-ish era. like imo this ship could get *really* fucked up. especially if you played with like. Parallax stuff. also you know. the joy of Lantern Rings during sex.
lastly, i don't think he quite counts as JLA sine he's more Justice League of China, but. Kenan Kong, Superman of China. i have a *really* stuck in my head brainworm shipping him with Dick. they don't have much interaction, *but* i've had this idea of Kenan hearing the jokes about "every Super has a Bat" when he joins the Superfam and he decides it's his right to claim a Bat. and since Dick doesn't really have a Super, Kenan just. decides Dick is his. and forms what Dick thinks is a genuine friendship with the end goal of sleeping with Dick, consensually or not. i think it could be fun, playing into how Kenan used to be a really big asshole. hopefully I'll write it eventually, though i'm not sure how interested in it people would be since it's such a rarepair idea. but what am i if not a dealer of rarepairs.

I have some questions.
What are all your favourite ships whether than are canon or not canon, from books, tv shows or movies.
What are all your favourite romance and character tropes.
Okay this ask is over a YEAR old but I never saw it so sorry lol,, that being said my all time fav ships in order of when I got into them include:
Frank/Gerard of MCR: This was the first ship I genuinely got super feral and invested in and learned all the lore and history and spent hours reading smut of them every night in middle school. I think this is the only RPF ship I still interact with to this day because they're just too perfect idk in an alternate universe they're together forever.
Stiles/Derek from Teen Wolf: My first love in terms of fictional ship, this one is very cutesy and nostalgic for me bc of my age at the time of watching, also my first time feeling the agony and evil of unfulfiled queerbaiting because WHY did Derek have that twink thrown up against the wall like that if not...
Marcline/Princess bubblegum from AdvT: One of my very rare sweet and wholesome ships,, I can't even think of them sexually I just love them and they make me cry
Carl/Negan from TWD: It feels weird to include this for obvious reasons but at the time Negan appeared in the show I was the same age as carl and that whole storyline rewired my brain and heavily impacted my sexuality lmao so that's that. I was just a silly little fujo and Carl was my self insert ahaha I was crazy back then
Ramsay/Theon/Reek from GoT/ASOIAF: To this day this is THE ship for me. I have never been more into a ship than Thramsay it's ruined my life a bit. Their whole arc in season 3 with Ramsays growing obsession and Theon's transformation into reek made me realize that there is something wrong with my brain bcs I was NOT thinking normal thoughts about them. Theon is also one of my fav characters like ever he's so tragic and beautiful and do I relate to him and see him as a self insert a bit too much?? Who's to say. I also think this ship is so adaptable and amazing in so many different AUs and also explores and psyches of both characters amazingly blah blah blah I could go on for hours about this so I'll cut myself off now but I'm always down to gab about these characters, as a ship or just in general.
Jennifer/Needy from Jennifer's body: I don't have as much to say about them BUT their dynamic is so ajshsksksis childhood besties who grow to be very different people but still grow up to be attached at the hip is something I love very much. Also they way they're like obsessed with each other and lowkey want each other so bad but neither of them understand it so they just end up destroying each other instead???? Spectacular I'll take 14 more.
Billy/Steve from Stranger Things (+Tommy if ya nasty): This is another ship that's like beautiful and perfect to me I think they go together so well their tension in the show is crazy and they just look so good together??? I was a Billy devotee from the start and lemme tell y'all when season 3 hit the streets????? and Billy was getting physically and emotionally destroyed every single episdose???? Trust me I was feeling things. Also regarding Billy being canonically racist,,,I'm black and I kinda dgaf I think that was kinda a random choice by the creators, its not integral to the character and its easy to do away with in fic! Also Harringrove is in the running for my personal best ship names ever.
Billy/Stu from Scream: WAITER??? MORE REPRESSED GAYS CLINGING TO EACH OTHER FOR SURVIVAL IN A WORLD THAT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THEM!!! I love how goofy and chaotic and dramatic and immature they are, ellos son toxicos but they need each other I think. Also the fact that an actual QUEER CODED THIS (gay director) theres so much subtext and little things between them so theres just a lot of explore.
For romantic tropes, I'll make this section a lil shorter because I'm already writing a novel here but I very much enjoy: Tragic/doomed/haunting the narrative characters, strong power dynamics, mutual obsession, obsessive/emotional villans, secret relationships, captive/captor, childhood friends to lovers, opposites attract, unrequited crushes/love, rebounds, and lastly whatever the FUCK Theon Greyjoy got going on.
Honorable mention ships: Eddie/Buck (911), Stiles/Lydia (Teen Wolf), Byler (ST), Phan (youtube RPF), Reylo (Star Wars), Stucky (MCU), Rick/Negan (TWD) Loras/Renly (GoT), Ryden (band RPF), Klaine (Glee), Ben/Maddie/Ren (Siren), Dan/Herbert (reanimator)
Thank you for this ask and sorry its so late bc I love talking about my blorbos!!!

okay warning ahead of time that this post is not going to be super coherent i'm just trying to get out a stream of consciousness on my thoughts on these two bozos ghklasdjfklsad BUT as far as chris and robert's sister's relationship goes (and i'll be referring to her as ellie going forward for simplicity's sake)(i think she went by molly as a kid but as she grew up she decided that her middle name ellie is a better fit for her and that's what she goes by in uni. not at all relevant to her and chris i just wanted to share that thought lol):
(okay putting this under a cut cuz this got super long for no reason lmao RIP)
so. first of all. i think it's incredibly interesting that chris specifically says "we'll never have to work with this bunch of freaks again", implying that ellie herself is an actress, or at least involved in some aspect of the drama society. i don't have any super in depth thoughts about this other than that this makes me believe that the two of them met through theater, and i can't decide whether or not i believe chris knew she was robert's sister before he started dating her or if he found out afterwards because either one is fucking hilarious lmao. either he willingly went out with his best worst friend/catastrophic situationship's sister and thought that was perfectly fine and normal (or maybe it's revenge for robert dating his mother? either way. messy bitch behavior lmao) or he learned this information after he'd been with her for a while and it immediately gave him psychic damage. okay now that i've typed it out i am leaning more toward the second option cuz the idea of chris slowly noticing all the traits in ellie that he clicks with that remind him of robert is actually so delightful to me but i think both options have their merits lmao.
anyway. i do think these two genuinely did click with each other, is the thing. sure, it was in a superficial young puppy love kind of way (i know for a fact this relationship was SO high school in spite of—or perhaps because of—the fact these two are emotionally stunted mid-twenty year olds lmao) but like, they did like each other, or at least the idea of each other. unfortunately, they just also enabled each other's worst impulses and behaviors, so it wasn't really a healthy relationship lol. i think they latched onto each other through a mutual dissatisfaction with the drama society that evolved into bitterness and resentment because they're both petty bitches at heart, and it doesn't help that ellie doesn't really know any of the drama society outside of her brother who sucks (i love him for it though <3). the only impressions of them she got were superficial interactions with them through being a part of the society in whatever way she was and chris's complaining about them, so of course she was inclined to encourage him to leave them behind. reach for something greater. fuck these weirdos, come with me and do some real acting, you don't need them, we only need each other :)
um. she quickly regrets that sentiment lmao. i don't think chris is generally a very needy person, but that's only because he actively represses every desire he's ever had. if you get him vulnerable enough, though, then that's when the neediness comes out, and he's at a very vulnerable point in his relationship with ellie. i've talked about how i think he was probably having some sort of crisis during this time related to not feeling very connected to his friends which. not to bring the bpd headcanon into this. but i fully believe his ass immediately reacted to that hurt with splitting on them and treating them as lesser than in his mind lmao, and ellie reinforcing that belief did Not Help (which i am not saying to demonize her! she did not have the full picture and was going off of what chris was telling her so of course she thought these people were bad for him lol. it's part of what made this relationship so messy). he's in a self sabotaging state, he's convinced himself that his literal entire support system is beneath him and he has to leave them behind, and he's left with one person to replace said support system. to say he becomes a little reliant on/clingy with ellie is uhhhh. well lmao
the thing is i don't think she disliked it at first. chris is a fucking pretty boy and she knows he's crazy off the bat but it's kind of in a fun way, y'know? their relationship starts as a whirlwind of passion and making out and sharing their goals and dreams of something bigger, they seem to have so much in common! sure he's a bit clingy and the venom with which he speaks about his old friends can be a little offputting but those are such minor red flags compared to how much fun she's having. i think the first moment that she starts to realize that she might be in over her head is when she shows up to dennis's birthday party and realizes that she and sandra are wearing the exact same dress, which yes is mainly because i'm really attached to the idea that chris bought that for her without realizing how insane about sandra he was being when he did that but listen this headcanon makes her expression in that moment so much funnier like ahlkgdasjlf
^ i fully believe this is the face of a woman who's starting to have some regrets lmao tell me i'm wrong. anyway
i'm not sure if i posted this yet or not but i fully believe the real dealbreaker was when he started explaining to her what his plans were for how to get the scrooge role. like, she knew he was a bit off his rocker (said with all the affection in the world btw. he's unwell <3) but i think she also assumed he was more grounded than the rest of the drama society, and normally to some degree she'd be right. but the thing is chris is A) stubborn as fuck, especially when it comes to his creative aspirations, B) in the middle of a manic breakdown where he's about to leave behind everyone he's ever loved and who's ever loved him, and C) frankly. kind of unhinged in general even without the extenuating circumstances, so of COURSE his ass thinks that kidnapping a bunch of bbc actors and hijacking their broadcast is an excellent idea for how to secure the role of scrooge lmao. what else was he going to do, something rational? he would never.
just......imagine this with me. he thinks this plan is incredibly clever, doesn't he. he has it all planned out to a disturbingly detailed degree and he explains it to ellie with all the childlike excitement he used when telling her about his aspirations to get out of the drama society and that's when it clicks for her that oh he's CRAZY crazy. and she smiles very sweetly at him and puts a hand on his arm and tells him "that's wonderful sweetheart :) i think. we should break up" and he's like "huh" and she's like "we need to break up. we can't be together anymore" and chris doesn't even have a response to that because his world is falling apart all over again lol :")
the chris/robert parallels have always been in the back of her mind, is the thing. they have a disturbing amount in common, but she'd been willing to look past that cuz chris is sweet in ways her brother isn't and he seems to really like her, and he gives her the affection and validation she's been missing in her life. he tells her he needs her all the time and that he can't do this without her, he's incredibly touchy with her in a way he hasn't been with anyone else not since sandra, before they had their tragic bestie breakup that i'll write about one of these days lol. but again, the red flags are there—he's getting a bit too dependent on her, he's already talking about them getting married (she hasn't even met his parents yet, and if he has it his way they never will because celia would not approve of her lbr), he's really latched onto the "us against the world" mentality she's offered to a degree that's kind of uncomfortable. she's already ignoring a lot, it's just that the kidnapping plot crosses a line, and not even solely because it's a literal crime lol but also because it's just so robert.
not to bring grovebean into it but i'm going to lol i think this is the moment where it clicks for her why her brother was so entwined with this guy. they are indeed two peas in a pod, so different but also so similar in a way that makes them clash and click and the same time. i think in the back of her mind she was always aware that chris's relationship with robert would come to bite them in the ass eventually, but she just really overestimated how long that would take lol. there's no way this relationship lasted more than a few months at most, i don't think they were together for very long at all ghlaksfdlkfjds.
on another note, i don't think chris's sexuality really was a factor in the dilapidation of this relationship. idk why but i really like the idea of ellie being asexual like him, so i think they were both really relieved to be in a relationship where sex wasn't an expectation. there's also the fact that despite headcanoning chris as gay i really do think that he prefers the company of women (another way his life is so tragic LMAO), so while his feelings for ellie weren't necessarily romantic, he was genuinely invested in this relationship and really enjoyed being with her. it's just that their combined mental issues unfortunately got in the way of the relationship being functional, lol.
i have. already typed too much so i should probably wrap this up soon cuz i have to leave the cafe in a bit so :') i haven't really touched on the whole chrissandra projection of this relationship as much but that's because i haven't fully fleshed that out in my head yet, so maybe i'll write about that more later. for now uhhh here's my thesis paper on chris and ellie being bad for each other but kinda cute about it LMAO
#guys i have spent so much time writing this. what the hell lmao#the goes wrong show#a christmas carol goes wrong#chris bean#molly ellie grove#chrisellie#and a tiny bit of#grovebean#chrissandra#marshy speaks

please yap about the story/lore/project
You may not know this but I am a yap GOD. Sir you have opened up an entire can of worms. Let's do this
(disclaimer my 1 am ramble and subsequent Story are Not meant to actually represent any biblical figure or any religion, I just like the stories and think the text has a lot of cool potential. I don't believe that these characters would actually be like this, had they existed. I'm agnostic so that part is up in the air)
Basically. Adam and Eve are made by God, they frolic for a while before the snake comes and has them eat the Golden Fruit (quince). They're naked and banned from Eden. You know the tale.
Readmore cause this got longgg
Despite my annoyance with Ben Sira, Lilith does exist in the story — as a demon. Kinda. She shows up in the garden and is aware of Good and Evil™ but kind of doesn't give a shit. God doesn't know she's there. She was created by the Morningstar in an attempt to one-up God, which doesn't work. Lilith does have a human body, but being created by an Angel, she lacks an immortal soul. (Still debating whether or not to include a Hell. I think I have to) Lilith isnt evil, in general demons aren't inherently evil, but because God didn't intend for them to exist, He decides their existence is evil and bad. "Demons r evil" is basically heaven propaganda
Anyways Lilith and Eve have their doomed yuri situationship in Eden. Adam and Gabriel are super into each other
Gabriel is a major asshole in this. I'm taking his characterization from the Book of Enoch (which I really like so I'm incorporating the lore). Huuuge dick. Dangerously repressed. He/I can't use standard swear words bcs they're all very culturally specifically (most are things that are considered taboo, but because this is Eden, there are no taboos ,because they don't know the difference between good and evil) so I have to get creative. He's a dick. But he's also got crazyy issues going on that I'm too sleepy to articulate properly. Let's jusr say. Things go Poorly
There's some stuff with the Fruit of Knowledge that involves snakes, idk. Forgot if the snake is being influenced by the Morningstar or if it's just a talking snake. I'll have to reread Genesis (again .auguhh)
Post- being kicked from Eden ,Adam and Eve do, in fact, bone. Out pops Cain. And then out pops Abel. Theyd be called Irish twins if Ireland existed at that point.
Cain farms the land with Adam, Abel cares for the livestock with Eve. Adam is a really chill (kinda pathetic) guy in here, and Cain takes after him, so I'm really hoping the rock murder thing comes as a sort of surprise despite having been canonized 10,000 years ago.
I asked myself what the most fucked up version of the mark of Cain could be (the thing that god marked him with so that nobody would kill him) and it involves lightning. That's about as far as I got
Anyways Eve is pregnant with Seth while the whole Cain and Abel thing goes down, she and Adam are kind of not thrilled about the whole situation so my man Seth is raised by parents who are suuuper emotionally fucked io . Also he's a prophet sorta thing so that's cool, he gets visions and ends up starting a freaky sex cult. After all his children die he gets into politics. He invents lobbying .
Adam and Eve havent invented contraceptives so they have more kids including Abra (I made her up), Mat (made him up), Salma (made her up), Rand (made him up), etc.
I tried to find some way to work around the whole incest thing, since Cain goes off East to Nod and finds a wife somehow. I really didn't want it to be his sister and the only other thing I could think of is that there are other Gods with other legit Creation Myths. So I get to research that .
Book of Enoch is canon so after a few generations we get to dive into Gabriel's codependency issues during the Flood. Azazel is sent to superhell to be tortured for eternity, his brothers are all killed, it's fucked up. Noah builds a boat, Utnapishtim builds a boat, Ziusudra builds a boat, so many men build boats and since there are multiple canon gods I don't know which man is going to build the boat. They all end up atop mt Ararat so is it like. Is it like a big man boat party. Is God and his choir of angels and all the Sumerian gods and fucking the Babylonian ones all gonna show up. How would that even work. That'd be so funny imagine God trying to deal with Ishtar. That'd go so badly . I guess I'll figure it out
Anyways thank you for asking 🙏 if you got this far, I commend you. I referenced a lot of mythology in here so I'm maybe going to go to bed, if you want to know whether I'm referencing a Text or whether I'm just making something up or whether I'm stealing it from Supernatural just lmk !! Feel free to ask literally anything. I was born to Yap

toma headcanons because im crazy (cw for stuff on his route + some nsfw):
he smoked in highschool:
in his concept art, he's shown with a cigarette in his mouth (in fact thats one of the only things that was changed from his final design lol). i headcanon that while he was in highschool and very emotionally silly over the heroine / his feelings towards her, he'd kind of avoid her and hang around the "wrong crowds", eventually getting into smoking. he used it as stress relief but its also had the opposite effect bc heroine would KILL him if he ever smoked.. so ? he just kind of sat there feeling guilty and depressed (as toma tends to do).
anyways he quit cold turkey at one point because he got caught by shin. shin was PISSED. he made toma swear that he'd quit immediately otherwise he'd tell the heroine what he was doing (tbh the only threat that would actually work; especially when hes still a teenager and less hateful towards shin). i think he lectured him sooo hard and called him an idiot 5 morbillion times
i feel like i need to clarify that toma was probably the lamest rebellious kid out there. like yeah he smoked but he was doing it bc it was a group expectation, not because he really wanted to.
not entirely inexperienced:
going back to toma in highschool; its canon that he dated a bunch of girls who asked him out, though i don't think he ever got really far with them. i think he's kissed like one girl out of obligation / because he felt like he needed to keep up the act or at least Try to get over the heroine; though i think he probably broke up with that girl soon after. i doubt that any girl he ever dated wouldnt notice his goo goo eyes for the heroine LOL so maybe they knew what they were getting into.
soo i dont think heroine is his first kiss (tho i do think she's his first in other aspects)
sexuality in general:
i think toma is honest to god super repressed in terms of his own sexuality and that's where most of his issues come from. this man does not see ANY (LITERALLY ANY. even nonsexual) of his desires as being normal. that's why he really was so okay with just being onii-chan... it was a safe space for him where he could live in his "wholesome ideals" of a relationship. i feel like most of his talk abt "im a man!!! im a man i could take advantage of you!!" was out of legitimate fear that his sexual side was some beast that he had to keep caged (haha) and that he might hurt the very person he cares abt most in the world. so w that in mind i really can't see this guy being super overtly horny LOL. cage ending aside while i think hes a freak in the sheets or whatever he would be so shy and demure about it all... ahhh heroine... u can't just look at me like that... kyaaa... hes the kind of guy to freeze like a deer in headlights when anything romantic or sexual happens (i like it... but i shouldn't... but i should pull away.. but i don't want to....)
i think hes a soft dom w service top tendencies tee be aich... though id love to go down on him (Who said that ?! )
he totally has a maid fetish imo. it's basically canon so like... that being said it's funny as fuck that he's like Tch... I don't want you to be a maid for other people... you'll just be a maid for me 😈 (in his bad end). like cmon man.
silly:
- i like to imagine that toma learned how to drive purely because he wanted to be able to help shin and the heroine out ... he is the reliable older brother chauffeur of your dreams. I also like to think that he really sucked ass at first though and he got pulled over for running a stop sign once.
- this is just me but i hc him with Poland syndrome 👍👍
#toma amnesia#headcanons#im crazy#will add more later but these are the ones i was thinking about lol

I would absolutely love to read that if you posted it ^^
OKAY BIG GRIMSLEY HEADCANON POST
IM NORMAL ABOUT GRIMSLEY I SWEAR I SWEAR
-Okay so a lot of this directly ties to my boyfriend @plushegutzz's oc Blaine and their lore so be prepared to see their name a lot. Also I'm not gonna include Bug in this because as much as I love her she's mostly just a silly little fankid i have for fun domestic fluff stuff so she doesn't really have a concrete timeline. Anyway i'll try my best to go through this chronologically.-
TWs for: gambling and gambling addiction, trauma, vague references to childhood abuse, Grimsley just generally being severely mentally ill
Grimsley Gore (birth name Gabriel Gore) was born into a wealthy Unovian family alongside his twin brother Garry. Being born into a rich family the two brothers had a lot of really strong expectations placed onto them from a very young age, with the two basically expected to be perfect all the time. Because of this stress growing up the two brothers developed a very strong bond as they really only felt like they had each other.
The mother of the Gore household was a very controlling and manipulative figure putting a lot of pressure onto the twins to be perfectly behaved golden children. Their father meanwhile was very emotionally distant towards his family and the rare times he did interact with his two sons he was generally pretty abusive. Growing up Grimsley/Gabriel tries his best to keep the uglier side of his home life away from public eyes, instead bragging to his friends about how cool and spoiled he is instead.
Grimsley's first pokémon was his Liepard (nicknamed Violet) who he met at around 8 years old, he spotted a wild Purrlion with an injured foot wandering his family's estate and immediately dropped everything to go check on the kitty. He got in a lot of trouble with his mother for doing so as his outfit ended up covered in dirt during his rescue of the pokémon but he was mostly just excited over having a pokemon of his own. He ended up nursing Violet back to help and it caused the two to develop a very close bond. Even as an adult Grimsley is super attached to his Liepard and basically treats her like his baby.
It's shortly after catching Violet that Grimsley meets Blaine A. Platinum the child of another wealthy Unova family with the twos parents pairing the two together in hopes of them getting married in adulthood. Both children absolutely hate this idea and don't initially get along with each other, but after a while of being forced to spend time together they start to realize that they're stuck in similar situations of shitty home lives and form a friendship over their shared struggle.
During his teen years Grimsley views his life as “going pretty good” in his eyes, he's still dealing with an actively abusive home life but he's kind of repressing all of his emotions about that. Instead he's clinging onto the bonds he formed with Blaine and his brother Garry. His dynamic with his brother is very “we've only got eachother” meanwhile he and Blaine are in this mess of “kinda dating but also kinda not dating we're 16 years old and it's complicated.” and both relationships are kinda overly dependent on Grimsley's end. Overall during this point of his life Grimsley just kinda acts like a spoiled brat rich kid who's better than everybody else because it's easier for him to accept than look inwards and try and process the trauma he very clearly is struggling with. (Grimsley spends a large chunk of his life running away from his trauma.)
Grimsley putting all his emotional stability on two people unsurprisingly ends up shooting him in the foot as his life kinda ends up falling apart at 19 years old. It starts with Blaine, They've personally had enough of the stress of their home life and now that they're an adult they're planning to run away and had been hoping that Grimsley would join them. Unfortunately Grimsley can't bring himself to abandon the only life he's ever known, a part of him knows deep down that he's not happy in his current situation but he can't bring himself to admit that. His life with his rich family being the only sense of stability he knows and he turns Blaine down. This turns into a huge fight between the two with Blaine basically accusing him of choosing his spoiled rich kid life over them and storms off.
Unsurprisingly, Grimsley takes Blaine leaving very badly with his emotions about the situation eventually starting to turn bitter with him viewing it as though Blaine abandoned him.
Things only get worse for poor Grims as not too long after he loses his brother too. Unlike Grimsley, Garry has been processing his emotions about their home life and also has decided he doesn't want to put up with it anymore. He informs Grimsley that he's intending to move away to Paldea to be with his fiancé, and much like Blaine offers his brother resources to get out himself but Grimsley isn't in the headspace to hear it and denies all of it feeling like his brother is abandoning him too.
Needless to say, Grimsley is in a pretty bad headspace at this point due to losing the two people he put all of his emotional stability into. (Even if it was a large part his own fault and refusal to process his emotional issues that caused him to lose them.) And things only get worse when his family falls into debt.
Grimsley's father was a gambler, it was a well known fact even if everyone in the family pretended it wasn't, and the kinds of casinos he was associating himself with weren't exactly the most legal ones. His father found himself owing quite a lot of money to Team Rocket causing the family to go bankrupt.
This all just sent Grimsley into a mental spiral with him basically having a full on episode. Not being able to let go of the spoiled rich life he was living because it was his only sense of stability was the reason he had lost his connections with Blaine and Garry in the first place and now he didn't even have that. Gambling was the reason he had lost everything, and in his state of mental instability he rationalized that gambling would be the thing to get his life back. It was during this episode that he decided to abandon his birth name is Gabriel and start going by Grimsley feeling as though he needed to abandon the “pathetic” person he used to be and reinvent himself.
Thrusting himself into casinos run by Team Rocket didn't exactly go well for Grimsley, with him getting roughed up for lacking proper funds on more than one occasion. But it was enough to get Grimsley addicted to the thrill of gambling. The rush of adrenaline it gave him distracted him from all the bad things going around in his he was already trying so hard to repress, it was something to make him feel ALIVE in his depressive state.
Still though hanging around these shady casinos and just getting pushed deeper into debt wasn't doing much good for him, and the only reason he was able to escape falling deeper into the organization was him meeting Nanu. Nanu was still working for the international police at this point and had been working undercover on a job related to Team Rocket and pretty quickly noticed that Grimsley was out of place. He gave him an out noticing that he actually had some really impressive pokémon battling skills and put him down the route of becoming a professional dark type pokémon trainer.
It didn't take Grimsley too long to rise up as an up and coming pokémon trainer and he definitely loved the attention and success that came with being a big name trainer. Eventually he ended up grabbing the attention of the champion of the region Alder, who saw potential in him to be successful as an Elite Four trainer and wanted to train him for the job.
His dynamic with Alder was, complicated, with Alder being a very mentorly almost father-like figure which made Grimsley and his repressed daddy issues panic. This only being furthered by Grimsley being close in age to Alder’s actual children and Alder being very aware of the fact that Grimsley was a very troubled young man who needed guidance. Grimsley did still accept the offer of the Elite Four job from Alder and did let him help out when it came to improving his pokémon battling, he did end up telling Alder to “watch it old timer” more than a couple times when it came to his personal life.
Despite his current success Grimsley still kept his gambling habits from before though and the thrill seeking that came from it although he was spending his time at more legal casinos this time. It was spending his time going out gambling that he found himself bumping into Blaine of all people again.
The two reuniting was fully by chance, Blaine finding a very hungover Grimsley passed out next to a casino with his Liepard Violet protectively coiled around him. Blaine was still fairly upset about their fight from a couple years ago at this point but could also tell that Grimsley wasn't exactly in a great state at the moment and decided to make sure he got home safe because a part of them still cared a lot for him. The two ended up catching up and while things were still very awkward between the two they decided to try and be friends to some degree again.
It was through Blaine that Grimsley ended up befriending Burgh as well, with Blaine having befriended the man through their shared passion for art. Grimsley being deathly afraid of bugs from a very young age wasn't the biggest fan of Burgh’s choice in type speciality he thought the man was fun to hang around with and so he had no choice but to put up with it, especially since Burgh was determined to help Grimsley get over his fears.
Burgh found Grimsley rather endearing in general, in fact he found himself kind of crushing on the man. Blaine, rather heavily protested this crush, pointing out that Grimsley was rather obviously very emotionally unavailable. But Burgh couldn't really help it, he could tell that underneath all the facade he put on all the time he had a softer side underneath it all and he just needed help getting it all out.
For once in his life Grimsley found himself genuinely doing pretty good, he was successful in his job in the Elite Four, he had friends in his life that genuinely cared about him, he was even starting to reconnect with his brother and get to know his nephew Giacomo (the young Giacomo really looking up to his uncle.) Unfortunately for Grimsley having people that genuinely loved and cared about him in his adulthood meant that he couldn't keep getting away with an unchecked gambling addiction and repressing all his negative emotions and pretending they didn't exist anymore. He had people that wanted him to get better and he basically got dragged kicking and screaming into therapy and working through his issues by Blaine, Garry, Alder and Burgh.
Grimsley hated working through his big pile of traumas and mental issues at first, it made him feel vulnerable and exposed and he didn't like that. But slowly over time he started to make progress and allow himself to be emotionally open with other people and starts dating Burgh during this time with the man encouraging him to be more open to being his genuine self. He also is a bit more willing to accept Alder as a father figure at this point. (Also diversity win! Grimsley realizes he's nonbinary at this point! yay! This is why you'll occasionally see me talk about headcanoning Grimsley as Bigender and using He/She/Any pronouns.) He even starts allowing people to call him Gabriel again on rare occasions, although this permission is really only given to Burgh, Blaine and Garry it's a huge sign of progress for him.
He eventually fully talks his emotions out with Blaine as hard as that is for him to do, and the two of them finally get over the fight they had all those years ago and start dating as well because I think Grimsley deserves two partners actually.
Aloan Grimsley is him taking a much needed mental health vacation after everything he's been through and allowing himself some rest and relaxation. Besides what's better than surfing on a Sharpedo in order to cope with your repressed emotional issues? He chose to hang out in Alola due to his previous connection with Nanu.
My version of Grimsley is just generally very special to me and is something that is very very dear to me so hopefully y'all enjoyed this big wall of text as well haha! i do have some vague additional headcanons but those aren't as heavily fleshed out and i wanted to just include the fully concrete stuff!!!

Hii! This is my first time messaging any fanfic author (I'm an extremely anxious person and tend to be more of a lurker LOL) I'm so sorry but this might be a long one lmfao
First of all, the way you write in general? Absolutely phenomenal!! The way you characterise and describe scenes is honestly so incredibly immersing. I've always had a relatively easy time imagining scenes in my head when reading, even with relatively little detail, but the way you word everything puts the scene straight into my head and it's such a wonderful experience!
Your characterisation of Gojo (in all your works!!) is probably my absolute favourite out of any fanfics I've read of him (trust me I've read an embarrassing amount :sob:). The way you actually capture what he feels like in canon, without making him feel super mean or cold, but still retaining that side of being emotionally repressed is absolutely chefs kiss!!
I also really love y/n in both kickoff and ihm so much. I relate to both of them in different ways, but probably more so ihm reader personality wise (might also be because I'm around the same age as her lmao). As someone who is very emotionally repressed due to trauma (especially of loved ones leaving you), the way you've portrayed those sides of reader in ihm is VERY spot on!! And I would like to add that I, for one, LOVE slow burn, so I don't mind the pace ihm is going at right now personally!
Chapter 12 of Kickoff?!?!? Holy shit I was literally sat there blushing, kicking my feet and giggling. It was absolutely hilarious and super cliché in the absolutely best way possible (I absolutely love clichés if they're well used!)
I could honestly wait years for anything you write. Never feel any pressure to churn out your writing and take it at your own pace!! My genuine first thought after finishing the latest chapter of Kickoff was that it was sooo worth the wait haha.
Personally I have an extremely hard time writing anything but angst, because I like making myself sad I guess who knows LOL But I'm sooo excited about your next work!! I absolutely love the song you're basing it off of <3
AND did I also see some talk about a potential Spider-man Gojo fic in the future??? Cos I would honestly probably scream (in a good way lol) if you ever did that, he's my alltime favourite superhero!!
Okok this is getting really long, but I found this photo of four football players a bit ago and thought I absolutely HAD to draw them as Gojo, Geto, Choso and Nanami from Kickoff (adding the art at the bottom)! But I haven't gotten around to colouring it yet (or cleaning it up considering it's just a sketch lmaoo) cos I'm stuck on how to do the jerseys. So I have two questions! I know you've explained the colours of their jerseys, but do you have any particular idea in mind of what the design on the jersey itself looks like? As in where the colours are placed specifically etc? And we know Gojo's signature jersey number, but do you have numbers for the rest of them too? (I may or may not also have a wip of a drawing of just Gojo from Kickoff too!)
I'm sorry there's A LOT of different plot points in my message??? The most important part was just to convey, hey, I love the way you write and you should definitely give yourself some more credit cos you are genuinely a really good writer!! <3 (Though I know us artists tend to be our own worst critics LOL)

hi love i’m so sorry this took me a sec to respond to!! first off thanks you so much for sending me such a sweet ask :’’’) i literally gaspeddd when i saw it
aaa i’m so happy the scenes feel immersive!! and that you enjoy my characterization of gojo aaa i’m so happy to hear that. and yes i totally relate to ihm reader’s suppression of her emotions due to trauma and lack of trust so it’s been very…cathartic yet challenging to write for her, but i wouldn’t have it any other way hahah
i’m so glad you enjoyed kickoff ch12!! i totally agree that chapter was so cliche, honestly it made me cringe while i was writing it because i typically hate cliches esp when they’re corny rather than on-the-nose, but i posted it anyways bc i figured maybe i just hate it bc i’m the author xd but it seems my readers enjoyed it so :’’0 perhaps i made the right choice
oh you are too kind. i really appreciate you looking out for me <3 tbh i’ve been feeling really overwhelmed lately, and it’s been really hard to deal with the emotions, but coming on here and seeing sweet works n ppl interacting w my stories brings me lots of happiness n i can’t thank you enough :’’) yes i will definitely take my time bahahha that i can assure you LOL and i’m so happy to know you’re looking forward to more of my works!! you’re so right about artists/authors being our own worst critics. i swear no one has been as mean to my writing as i have LMFAOOO but alas i think i’ve gotten better in trusting my direction n kinda choosing what i think is best soooo. progress i suppose? hahah
ok. now. i can talk about. THE ART?!?!?!?!? HELLO!!!!!!! OH MY GODD?!?!!?!?! ok i KNOWWW that’s it’s just a sketch so far but tell me whERE MY PANTIES HAVE GONE?!?!?!? WHERE MY CLOTHES ARE AT?!?!??!
the expression on kickoff gojo’s face has me reeling he looks so focused n sexy and THE HEADBAND PUSHING HIS HAIR UP OUT OF HIS FACE YES YES YES 100% THAT’S HOW I PICTURE IT WHEN I WRITE AAA and kickoff geto’s expression too pls i could cum (sorry i hope this isn’t weird to say lmfaooo i am also very respectfully looking at your artwork as well aaa) nanami’s hair looks so nice too
as for the uniforms hmm i know i said like gold and blue colors, i believe actual real-life UTOKYO has more of a yellowish color but i actually like gold better hence why i chose gold. but…i can imagine the whole jersey being blue and then with gold accents then white numbering?

here are some options!! like w the first one, probs sky blue fabric with the white stripes as gold instead, and then the numbers/brand sponsors or whatever are in white? they would probs have like “UTOKYO” in large print somewhere too, maybe underneath their numbers or sumn. tbh i think the middle one is the nicest, i can picture the stripes of blue and gold, and then accents in white. but the third one also works too!!
as for numbers hmm. ok yes gojo is #10, geto is #7, choso is #4 and nanami is #24 :0 that sounds…about right! LOL i hope i don’t have it somewhere in the other chapters that they are different numbers although i don’t think i’ve assigned the other boys numbers before
BUT I HOPE THIS HELPS AND THANKS SOSOSOSOSOSO MUCH FOR DRAWING FANART INSPIRED BY MY FIC!!!! I AM SO HUMBLED BY YOU AND I’M SOOOO EXCITED TO SEE THE FINAL DRAWING BUT ALSO NO PRESSURE AAAAAAAA
so much loveee <333

12 + 14 for both Guts and Griffith ? (:
Ooh thx @hawkfawun ! ♡
GUTS + What's a headcanon you have for this character?
I don't think Guts would worry much about stuff like what it would mean about him and his sexual orientation or what other people might think of him if he was interested in Griffith as more than a friend. Doesn't seem to really even cross his mind much, aside from during his initial gruff uncomfortableness when Griffith first comes onto him very strong (which I think is due to how poorly Guts was socialized as a kid, how he has never experienced somebody take an interest in him positively like that before, and also because of his traumatic experience with Donovan). I think the reservations he might have about letting Griffith even closer to him or believing that Griffith actually genuinely "wants him" would be more due to his self-esteem issues, his general trust issues, and his good ol' fashioned shyness and social obliviousness. So it bugs me whenever I see people in the fandom elsewhere making a big deal about how he'd wrestle with the idea of having a queer attraction or acting like it's something that would be a huge source of shame or inner turmoil for Guts, because it just doesn't really ring that true to me based on how he actually thinks and acts and talks about Griffith to others in canon. I think his insecurity about feeling inferior to Griffith is the main thing he worries about in their relationship more than anything else.
GRIFFITH + What's a headcanon you have for this character?
I think Griffith is pretty dang emotionally intelligent in how quickly he recognizes and analyzes his own feelings and other people's too, actually. I've seen people say the reverse about him before, that he's a complete idiot about recognizing his own repressed emotions and desires and whatnot, but to me he comes off almost the polar opposite of that? At least before he does the sacrifice and transforms. In my opinion being super repressed and not emotionally intelligent means you struggle to even recognize you have feelings in the first place, and are also not good at accurately naming or recognizing the emotions you or anybody else are having or the possible reasons why, and are afraid to try to dig into that stuff any further. But Griffith basically instantly decides that he likes Guts and tells him that he does, and he also has a lot of clear ideas about his desires and ideals and dreams and how to get what he wants in general and how to give other people what they want. And I'm also thinking about stuff like how he will sit and walk himself through all the various things he's feeling and being pretty honest with himself about it all, like when we get inside his mind during his imprisonment for a bit. I feel like a lot of Griffith's misery and internal struggling in the Golden Age actually comes from how NOT repressed he is about how he feels much of the time, and from realizing how incompatible with each other or how futile some of his different desires and goals might be. Like I think he was pretty frustrated and hurt over making his emotional attachment so bare to Guts right from the start and then ending up feeling totally abandoned and rejected by him – I also understand why Guts had the hangups of his own that he did at every point, but I still can't help but feel bad for Griffith wearing his heart on his sleeve so boldly like that during the Golden Age and yet never really getting much of any direct obvious indication that his affections were returned, when in reality Guts DID feel the same. I sometimes don't blame him for going so extreme the other way with how hard he tries to remove all his feelings after that when I think about how shitty it must have been during those moments where he felt totally rejected and humiliated and abandoned during his torture and imprisonment after Guts left.
GUTS + Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
Omg good question. I don't have any idea what label to give him... but to me he'd be something between like a metalhead/punk and a biker and a lumberjack/working-man blue collar kind of aesthetic, haha. Like wearing the same black cutoff T-shirt and trousers and big heavy boots every day. Probably would get stuff mostly at like military surplus stores and thrift stores and be thinking much more about practicality and durability and protection with what he's wearing than anything else. And he definitely wouldn't be willingly putting himself into too many situations where he had to wear a suit and tie or anything overly fancy or formal. Though I guess he got a little dramatic and sassy with his Three Musketeers type ensemble that one time...
GRIFFITH + Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
Hahaha omg I'm so bad at this, it's def not my strong-suit to know and name all the specific fashion aesthetics and trends. Well, he definitely likes to get dressier and pay more attention to what he wears than Guts does, and he'd have a wider range of clothes in his closet too. He'd be switching between stuff he wears when he has to impress in the public eye and the stuff he wears when he's working or fighting or just hanging out with the boys. I think he'd have some fun with it too and know his most flattering colours and how to accessorize and whatnot. If it was a modern Griffith AU I think he'd probably not just be wearing like the most basic boring bro business suits when he has to be formal or anything either, like he'd be more androgynous and adventurous about it and still have some lace or frills or fun colours going on somewhere or something 😆 But that's about all I got, and I have no idea what you'd call it or what kind of specific aesthetic box to put it in, sorry...

How do you feel about VATSK as a concept? I’ve noticed a lot of people in the fandom like it but have things they would change, so I want to know your opinion
the concept itself is something i genuinely really am Deeply intrigued by (i'd have to be if im at this level of fixated on it) and generally i absolutely love it
i DO have a habit of fixating on things that have a base concept that simultaneously lets me add my own takes to it. i like being given interesting concepts and then building off of them. i'll admit that with vat7k- it's probably the most intense it's ever been LOL.... kind of sick in the head about it
that all being said, i do certainly have things i would change both in terms of the initial concept the storyboard artists created and what some of the fandom likes to do. here are some off the top of my head:
retcon the 7 kingdoms as they appear in tangled the series. like it wasnt a big deal within tangled's story but i think these kingdoms need to be better fleshed out and have a stronger form of identity. there is no way i can accept nuru's kingdom just being Generic European Kingdom, for example. i probably would change hugo's kingdom too and focus on heavy industrialism instead of just "scary warrior women" (to be fair to vat7k, the concepts dont seem to use the 7 kingdoms in tangled as the base anyway lol but just in case... im saying i would change them)
bloodline does not equal inherent similarities. with both varian's mother being an alchemist like him and his mom's side of the family being inventors too... it implies there might have been a trope im not super fond of. instead, i prefer the idea that varian has to learn that there is no inherent, birth-given truth that makes him who he is. his family became inventors because of the environment they live in, not because of something in their blood. i like the idea that the more he learns about his mom (and the unsavory parts about her), the more he fears he's becoming exactly like her (which culminates at the end). credit again to the concept- it seems like that was the idea with ulla, i would just want to make sure that notion is consistent throughout the story
hugo's character (in regards to some aspects). ive talked about it many times before but while i love most of his character there are a couple things i'd change about him. namely the idea he's flirtatious and the idea he is greedy in the typical thief way. i think he is far too emotionally repressed and distrustful that he'd ever (even casually with intimacy) want to do anything like that (this includes all forms of affection, including platonic friendship). i also think that while his longing for Finer Things and Wealth is present- it doesn't take the form of coveting precious jewels and treasure. he would more quickly be drawn to a device with top-of-the-line material than a golden crown. this kind of ties in with my whole take that he is ever so pretentious and particular about things- but that's also a sign that deep down he just genuinely has a strong spirit and sense of self, i just dont think he realizes this and considers himself a bad person, but doesnt really care if hes stuck being bad (lie). he is also, yknow, incredibly intelligent with a brilliant mind that makes him stand out to other thieves. this is important, and something varian can see quite clearly
varian's past is a big plot point. credit to the fandom this time, it does seem like this is generally accepted as something that should happen even if the concept doesn't seem to really talk about it at all. i would definitely want to delve more into the trauma varian has and the guilt he carries with him and how that works with hugo- someone also holding guilt and trauma. not to say the others would have nothing to do with it- they would! it's an important part of the story, for me, to depict how these characters handle trauma and a past they're not proud of (and even scared of)
#ty for indulging me. i tried to keep it minimal and its still an ungodly wall of text. sad !#asks#vat7k#i always want vat7k asks from people interested in what my beautiful mind has to say about it /lh#if there are typos or weird rambling sentences um. no there isnt
