Here's a rose for you!! Now unleash the WIP!
from the merlin football au . . . it's so hard to figure out which snippets to post . . .
“Hello.” It’s a beautiful man, tall and tan with long hair that curls around his ears and neck and looks very soft and with eyes darker than earth but sure to flare brilliantly when the light hits just right. Merlin releases the towel. “You are in front of my locker.” “Oh.” Merlin steps away, and the man steps forward, and he eyes the back of the man’s shirt, where he can see ‘DU LAC’ stretched across broad shoulders, with a ‘10’ underneath. “Sorry.” “Don’t worry about it, friend,” du Lac replies. He tugs at the neck of his shirt, pulls it over his head, and Merlin averts his eyes but tries not to be too obvious that he’s averting them. “So you’re the new kitman. Shame, Morris was nice.” “I’m nice too,” Merlin says immediately. His jaw snaps shut when du Lac turns, shirt still tangled around his arms. He takes a breath. “If given reason to be.”
send a 🌹 and i’ll post a “sentence” of a wip i’m currently writing!! :3
#thank you!!!! <3#answered#tink-wondering#football au#once again laughing over merlin very obviously having a type (dark hair dark eyes stubble/facial hair) and then losing his shit over arthur#(aka the complete opposite of his type)#it's my favorite thing ever like. oh damnsdkhfgjkhjkf

It is very exhausting being in western fandom spaces sometimes. Tell me why I just wanted to enjoy a cute oubing ship vid on tiktok, and half the comments section was about people saying you can't ship them???
I wanna complain into the void, so here's a comprehensive of why Oubing/藕饼/Lotus Root Cake is fine (and even if it wasn't, why I don't give a shit):
(Spoiler warning for Nezha 2)
1. "You can't ship them cause they're brothers'": No, they are not brothers. Not by any definition of the word. Not by blood - not even sworn brothers technically, because they only refer to each other as best friends. They each have their own parents - those parents are not related to each other in any way, shape, or form. One of them is a freaking dragon, an entirely different species. Also, they're technically made of lotuses now. They weren't raised together either. Clarifying this point feels ridiculous.
2. "But they used to be part of the chaos pearl": If you wanted to define them by any type of relationship, they are soulmates. This is not me trying to spin them romantically, I mean they are literally soulmates. Their spirits are each half of a single Chaos Pearl, and they each represent opposite halves. They are literally soulmates and yin and yang.
3. "But they're children!": Are they three years old? Yes - and also no. (this is edited: I saw an official post that did say their ages were 3, not 6). They've been alive for centuries as a chaos pearl. I need you to understand that the original entity we saw at the beginning of Nezha 1, IS a creature that has been alive for thousands of years. They had personality too while they were fighting Taiyi. They were made into the pearls by the cauldron. Now, their mortal bodies as we understand it, is 3 (again edited. I originally said 6 cause I wasn't sure whether or not to count the 3 years of pregnancy). But because they're not really human, and their developmental stages therefore don't mirror a human, the movie shows them maturing into an adult form in the span of about 3 years. How do we know this? Ao Bing is the same age as Nezha, and he went from a baby to his adult form in those 3 years. The only reason Nezha is still in a child form is because he has the qiankun circle suppressing him. This is also the reason that putting the circle on his wrist releases his adult form. Also it's sort of maybe implied by the end of Nezha 2 that he may stay permanently in his adult form, since he reformed his body into it while he was in The Soup™. I dunno how accurate this part is so I suppose we'll see by Nezha 3. I would like to point out further that no three year old talks or acts like they do. Ao Bing and Nezha have very complete vocabularies, and are able to understand the complexities of their circumstances. They're both new to the world in this form, but they're not at the mental capacity of a 3 year old. It's like if you were dropped into a new form of existence with an adult brain.
4. "Nooo, why are you shipping them now": This ship is NOT NEW. It's been around since at least 2019. It is WILDLY popular in China. Back when Nezha 1 first came out, oubing literally won an award for best couple. I want you to understand the scale - from my understanding, they beat wangxian in cql. Y'all can correct me if I got this part wrong because I can't find the source of where I read this information, but if it's true, that's wild. I know the award part is correct. There was an official shampoo ad that reads like a shipping comic. Now that Nezha 2 came out, it is still one of the most popular ships. Every other post on my social media has been about Nezha 2 and at least half of that has been Oubing. There are over 2000 chinese fics on ao3 currently. Stop with this "why are you shipping them now", WE'VE BEEN SHIPPING THEM.
5. "It's not canon.": Not that I give a shit what's canon or even what the original creator thinks about shipping usually, but Jiaozi, aka the director of the movie, has stated that while he wrote Nezha and Ao Bing to just be a friendship that he thinks it is fine if people ship them. I'm pretty sure he also said something along the lines of 'people can interpret things how they want' or something.
6. Even if all of the points I made were not the case, I cannot stress enough how little I care about what someone should or should not ship. If you don't like it, just block the fanart/fic/video and move on. I promise society will not crumble because someone decides to ship two fictional characters from a mythology movie. We will be fine.
(Also if you see anyone in the chinese fandom write 藕饼cp, the cp stands for "couple". Just to clarify. They use different terms for shipping in chinese fandoms, they'll say they "ke CP" aka ship a couple)
Some of the comments I've seen make me wonder if people have even watched the movies. 'You can't ship them cause they're brothers', god don't make me laugh.
Don't let them find out that the chinese fandom is also shipping Ao Bing and Nezha from the 1979 cartoon, they'd lose their minds.

threesome with bfm!abby + her best friend sevika (aka me trying to make a crossover happen)
18+ only minors DNI
it honestly wasn’t planned, to say the least. before you left with your boyfriend to attend a friend’s birthday party, you had the courtesy of meeting his mother’s best friend, sevika.
“so this must be the not-so-lucky girlfriend, yeah?” she asks before turning her head to abby, to which she nods. “hey there, pretty girl. name’s sevika.” she says, offering her hand out to you.
you blush at the name she gives you and reach out to shake her hand. her palm had felt so large and warm in yours, almost like abby's, but maybe a little bit bigger. you let go of her hand, and you can't help but curiously look at her other arm, seeing that it’s entirely replaced with a metal prosthetic.
sevika catches your glance shifting and she looks down at her arm. "oh, this?" she says, looking back up at you. "i lost it about a decade ago, but i’m alright though. besides…” she pauses for a moment before continuing. “my other one still works just as good.” she says with a wink. you got the joke behind that, of course. but what you didn’t know was that you were going to be the one she’d use that hand on.
fast forward to now, and you’ve wound up in bed with two of the finest, most masculine women you could ever imagine yourself with. you’re trapped in between them, sitting in abby’s lap with your back against her chest while sevika was resting in between your legs and eating your pussy out in a painfully slow, yet rough manner.
“sevika, i said be gentle,” abby says from behind, gently caressing your breasts as she watches sevika’s movements. “i told you she’s sensitive.”
sevika grunts back at her, briefly removing her mouth off of your throbbing clit to speak to her. “where’s the fun in that, anderson?” she replies as she inserts a second finger into your soaked cunt, admiring how you squirmed and whined at her touch. “look at how much she likes it…pretty girl seems to be enjoying herself from the looks of it.”
while abby and sevika may present themselves in similar ways, you realize that they are both completely different in bed. abby was the gentle type, who’d always touch you and handle your body with care as if you were a porcelain doll that could shatter at any moment. sevika, on the other hand, was the opposite. she’s been manhandling the hell out of your thighs and pussy for the past ten minutes now, as if you had now turned into a ragdoll that could be easily thrown around the bed.
but if there’s one thing the two women have in common…it’s that making you cum was their number one priority.
“you okay, beautiful?” abby purrs into your ear, gently planting kisses on the back of your neck as sevika continued to finger your cunt. “is sevika taking good care of you?”
you nod with a whine, and while abby took that as a valid answer, sevika sure didn’t. her metal hand gripped your inner thigh harshly, causing you to jerk back at her. “answer her question, sweetheart.” she mused, her steel gray eyes staring you down.
“y-yes! please keep going sev…” you whine out to her. sevika hummed, bringing her gaze back down to your pussy. “such a pretty pussy, baby… it’s crazy how anderson’s kid can get to taste this whenever he wants.”
“yeah, about that…” abby chimes in, stifling a laugh. “it’s just me who does that. andrew always refuses to do it.”
sevika scoffed and shook her head in disbelief, her flesh fingers slowing down their movements inside you. “you’re fucking lying.” her eyes shift back to you. “she’s lying, right?”
you look down at sevika with a straight face, slowly shaking your head. “it’s true…h-he never does…”
sevika couldn’t help herself. she starts to laugh, still unable to wrap her head around it. “jesus, anderson, your kid is pretty stupid for that. who wouldn’t wanna get a taste of this gorgeous girl?” she leans in and licks another stripe up your pussy, letting out a groan as she savored the arousal that caught on her tastebuds. “she tastes like fucking heaven.”
“that’s exactly what i told her,” abby replied. “but what can i say? he gets his self-absorption from his father, and i sure can’t fix his stupidity either.”
you whined as your pussy clenched tightly around sevika’s fingers. it felt insane to think about it, but the fact that abby and sevika were talking shit about your boyfriend like this couldn’t help but turn you on even more.
however, sevika was quick to feel your actions as her gaze drops back down to your pussy. “did you just clench around me?” she asks, looking back up at you. her fingers began to speed up a little now, causing a whimper to escape from your throat as you clutch onto abby’s bicep. “seems like she’s getting off on hearing us talk shit about her useless boyfriend.”
abby chuckles, leaning in to press a kiss on your cheek. “it’s because she knows it’s true. besides, she’s got two women right here who’s gonna give her all the pleasure her body needs tonight.”
sevika smirks, spreading your thighs out farther for her. “in that case, you better buckle up, princess…because we’re just getting started.”
yeah so anyways…i kinda want to make a full fic of this…should i make a full fic of this??

Thought for the day - I believe there are two types of boys in One Piece in their relationships with girls, let me explain.
There are those where, outsiders, would never say that the two of you are in a relationship. You walk steps apart, exchanging only the essentials of words between you. However, anyone who looked closely could see that many times, some favors were done just for you, that his eyes always seemed to follow you at every step, protecting you even from afar. It was the type of situation in which the person who dared to mess with you would barely know where the blow would come from. However, when the two of you are alone, prepare for a clingy pair. He loves to make up for all the moments away when it's just the two of you - he holds you in bed for a few more minutes, stealing several kisses before facing the reality of the day, he always offers to accompany you on your explorations, just so he can drag you to hidden places in the city and enjoy the time alone, he will love you (aka fuck) as if that were the last night he would have you in their bed, after all, the next day, you both would just be crewmates again.
Law, Zoro, Marco, Killer, Katakuri, Mihawk, Smoker, Rob Lucci, Sabo (u can't tell me this loverboy wouldn't be the clingest guy in the alone time)
These people practically have your name tied to their existence. He don't exist without remembering your name immediately, accompanied by a smile, after all, anyone who saw - even if they didn't know you two - would know that you were made for each other - even if you are copies of each other's personality or are completely the opposite - you spark something in him that is sharp. They are super protective, yes, but they don't need to worry about following you far away, they know that no one would have enough balls to mess with his girl. Whenever they got into trouble, they immediately asked you for help after all you were one of the people he trusted most. With everyone already knowing about the two of you, he didn't need to make an effort to hide something, whether when he walked hand in hand with you, when he took the lead and asked who dared to interfere with their partner, or when they took advantage of any time free to love you (again, aka fuck) in a messy way, leaving marks and not sparing the noise. After all, everyone already knew that you belonged together.
Luffy, Crocodile, Ace, Kid, Sanji, Katakuri (he can be both versions, I'm sorry whoever disagrees), Franky, Shanks, Rayleigh, Buggy, Sabo (again, this sweetie fits for any side here)
-
a/n: I don't think anyone was missing, but if you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them here

Relationship Quirks 97s ver.
Aka habits I can see the boys doing in a relationship || 95s || 96s || 97s || Maknae line ||
The8 Wears your favorite color
Now this one is truly an unconscious thing that Hao does. You mention your favorite color one day during a random conversation and he doesn't do much with it... until the color starts becoming more eye-catching.
Suddenly more and more of his wardrobe is taken over by your favorite color; Not in a way that cramps his personal style but in a way that adds to it, of course. And even when he isn't wearing clothing that's your favorite color then his nails will definitely have sort of accent in or completely be (insert fav color here).
It's funny because he vehemently refuses to believe that's what's happening. If anyone, especially you, brings up how often he wears that color then he will scoff; Something about "no one being able to shake his personal preferences" or something like that.
"Been liking purple a lot lately, huh?" "No, I haven't." "But your nails are purple, your beanie is purple, and your cardi-" "Maybe, It just fits with my current style???" *Rolls his eyes and then buys a belt he's been "eyeing for ages"... just so happens to be purple*
DK Brings you up in every conversation
This sweet summer child~! (He's older than me) You would never in the world have to be jealous when with this man. Because chances are if he's talking to someone and it looks like anything interesting is happening AT ALL he's probably talking about you. Honestly, his dedication to talking about you might make people think he's obsessed (...he is) Maybe people would be even more interested in him because of that though... Call me crazy but dedication is sexy!
Either way, you're the only person in his sight and he swears it up and down. Doesn't leave any room for doubt either! The boys and your mutual friends are constantly telling you how appalled they are at how sweetly Kyeom talks about you when you aren't there. You're at the forefront of most of his conversation when you're with him, you can't imagine it being worse when you aren't around, but apparently, you are DEAD WRONG.
Seeing a pair of shoes can turn into a rant about what pairs of shoes you like. Ice cream flavors remind him of the time that you got ice cream for him when he was feeling sad and he just has to tell the guys about it. A talk with his manager about his recent health suddenly takes a turn and now he's sobbing talking about how much you take care of him. It's all you you you~
Mingyu Has to hold your hand
So we all know that Gyu is the biggest cuddler of all time, there's no doubt that he isn't clinging to your side when you're around. But hand-holding is different, Gyu can stand to not be hugging you 24/7... as long as you're holding his hand.
Claims that it feels like he's missing a piece of himself when he lets go, and also claims that you practically disappear if you aren't holding his hand, endless sulking. (Dramatic ass) And why can I vividly see him holding YOUR hand while clinging to the members??? Like he'll be swaying your arms back and forth while LITERALLY HOLDING WONWOO BY THE WAIST & BACKHUGGING HIM!!! Then has the audacity to be offended when you let go.
Also, has to hold your hand to sleep. He would love to cuddle! And he often does!... For like 10mins before this human space-heater gets too sweaty and has to move to the opposite side of the bed. Holding your hand in his sleep is a good compromise though, of course until you're letting go to use the restroom. (Deffo the type to follow you to pee, sits on the sink too)
A/N: I ain't even gonna lie... all of these headcanons could have been turned into full fics. I went insane imagining these habits, the 97s have been killing it in terms of looks and popularity lately. On a real note though, FUCK PLEDIS! PROTECT THE BOYS! Still so fucking pissed about what they let happen to Mingyu and TWS. Calming down... Comments and Reblogs are like super fuel for my writing and are much-appreciated lovelies!

기키 + 승철 / KICHEOL
🍒 ── 99% ... old married couple *for real*
everyone can see they love each other
he can be the sea and she’ll be the ship that floating on it
every time he needs to play the 'scary eldest' role, she always felt sorry bc she knew she can’t do it ( she’s too pacifist for that )
kiki is his no.1 listner for whatever his thoughts are
they basically tie the knot already *blinks*
his parents basically adopts her lol
the reason why they have such a strong bond is not only they share the most trainee days with another
but they keep fighting to protect the group and members before and after the debut
seungcheol: *being sulky*
kiki: *judging side eye*
honestly she wasn’t totally sweetheart for him from the beginning ( not in the public eye i mean )
more like teased and pretended like judging him
but after he got into hiatus in 2019 ( it was HER darkest time too ) she just went like “f*ck that, i won’t stop expressing my love for him anymore”
well it’s always appearant that he goes down on her knees like-
not only within the group but recognized as one of the strongest ships among the kpop industry
the ‘knights line’ 1/3 - such a protective of her all the time

기키 + 정한 / KIHANI
🐰 ── 80% ... devils roll the dice, angels roll their eyes
kiki in the most of gose : IM WATCHING U YOON JEONGHAN *in mute*
she pretends like she was offended by his cheating in the contents
but she’s the one who always cheers him and giving compliments
“u got this jeonghanna!” “u did so well~ i’m proud of u :)”
she always trust him through the trainee era, support him for both dancing and mentally
she knew he’s kinda type to get nervous often
so she always has his back, says something nice, holds his hands
and is she his soft spot? OBVIOUSLY
he always treats her meals and little gifts like sweets, cosmetics and accessories
she really takes care of his long hair bc if she doesn’t who does
late night walks, hanging out at the park
mostly she’s kinda ‘good girl’ type but when with him, her ‘devil mode’ would be activate ( and seungcheol would cry at the end )
jeonghan: *speaks japanese*
kiki: *proud mom*
personal space [ 404-not-found ]
well he kisses to her cheecks ... and forehead ... and top of the head ... and back of the hand ... ( and list continues )
when he turns low buttery mode, he goes towards her and either leans on her shoulder or rests his head on her lap ( mostly be witnessed in the concerts )
sometimes they are the completely opposite, but the other time share the same energy

기키 + 조슈아 / KISHUA
🦌 ── 85% ... the mf soulmates
like i said, SOULMATES. that’s it, that’s the tweet
they’re like puzzle pieces ⸺ get along well bc it’s different
he brings out her active energy
she learned the guitar from him
and handles his silent chaotic energy pretty well lol
they always make plans and daydream abt trips they want to go
sometimes josh stans confirm he’s alive through her social media
joshua: *planning something crazy*
kiki, whispering: DON’T ( he’ll do it anyway 🤷🏻 )
cafe dates, drive dates, movie nights
his mom lowkey hopes for kiki to be a daughter-in-law which is never gonna happen lmao
he came up with ‘kit kat’ as her nickname
and yes, the treatment is sweet as the treat ;)
he normally acts like a twin but never forgets the gentle behavior as the gentleman should
especially in the beginning, she prefers not to be treated exceptional cuz she’s the only female member, but his manner and considerate changed it slowly ( and surely in a good way )
he’s kind of the friend who doesn’t say the words such as “oh r u okay” “i’m worried about u” out loud often but always there for her and take her to the night driving when she got stuck

기키 + 준 / KIJUN
🐱 ── 70% ... the cat and the lion ( aka the owner )
they have the most pure kind of love
he has always been her protector in the airports and clouds
THE VISUAL
she really looking forward to go to shenzhen one day and visit all the places he wants to take them
she’s always so proud abt his acting career and calls him the movie star, now she’s too
and her secret dream is to costar with him one day
he never forgets to escorts her in the award shows and concerts, helping her in stairs, no hesitation to do arm in arm, lends her jacket if he worries she’s revealing too much of her bare skin for gowns ( in his eyes )
many skinships !!
they always share a bite to the other, both LOVE to have tasty foods and willing to let the one try
his little brother always wanna talk to her when he was a kid ( lowkey childhood crush ) then now he’s totally shy about that past and tries to avoide her when jun did the facetime and let the lil bro talk to her just to tease him
he won’t say anything until she went too far and overwork through days, but once he felt okay that’s enough he’ll just kidnapp her to the bedroom and tuck her in bed and like SLEEP
the ‘knights line’ 2/3 - he behaves like a cat playing with dearest owner and sending a nonverbal message to people around them like “ don’t look at her like that she’s OURS ”

기키 + 순영 / KISOON
🐯 ── 70% ... conqurer of the stage
everybody clear the way, the MAIN DANCERS are coming thru
but they really are THE all rounder, multi talented, just good at everything
they created their own handshake
she’s a secret no.1 supporter of horanghae
but she also LOVES his hamster pelsona, enjoys silently when it popped out randomly
in fact he is the reason that she determinded to be an idol for sure ⸺ she entered to pledis without firm belief about her future profession, but after his entry she was so impressed by his skills despite the gap of dance training experience. moreover, he was so sure about his future, to becoming the idol as his dream, and she just woke up as if she’d been slapped on the cheek like “what the hell i was thinking, of course i’ll be the idol too”
and he always admires her as a dancer and the respective person. he dreamed of not just being an idol, but standing on stage next to her since they met
surprisingly they quarrel most among the ship of kiki and members, but all of them are professional argument as they are in charge of choreographing and stage creation
and they always made up at the end of a day by eating ice pop side by side
he’s the one who encouraged her to do it when the other idol group reached out to her for their choreography production cos he believes in her talent more than anyone just as she does
both have hUGE gap between on and off stage, when they go hard it’s HARD 🔥🔥🔥 but otherwise they can be softest marshmallows

기키 + 원우 / KINWOO
🐈⬛ ── 85% ... the book fairies
he’s nearly worshipping her *ships tea*
it’s not a big secret that she’s his first love ( at first sight )
and after all these years, she’s still the woman of his dreams
yall know wonwoo wasn’t really talkable person at first but more shy and quiet
well same things can say to her
so she understood his silent and calm yet passionate personality
and kiki really stood by his side and just being his comfort space
she listens to him well, even he express his thoughts into words not that much
she always recommends his glasses and he’ll buy her choice without HESITATION lol
they can spend whole time together without chattng, just reading or sleeping alnogside
and it’s so CUTE
he gave the camera to her for the birthday present, and it made her enjoying to take photos more than ever and he loves the influence he made on her
art museum date, hanging out in the night town and ww just keeps taking photo of her
they have a ritual as they go to the night walk when the group is off to the overseas in tours, strolling the town and find the cozy cafes
she can notice whenever he is stressed or gets nervous and so does he, she often pats his back in those situation and it comforts him really well
u can see ww stares her a LOT in behind contents or gose ( he literally gave up to hide his affection at this point )
tries to teach her how to play pc games but fails everytime

기키 + 지훈 / KIHOON
🍚 ── 55% ... the vocal boss and the dance queen
trust me, they ARE strong. it’s just not as aloud as others
woozi found japanese beatuful at first bc it’s the language she spoke
and kiki loves the words and lyrics he weaves, his korean is like a poet to her
he doesn’t wanna admits outspokenly but it’s hard to say she hasn’t owned the special ( and soft ) place in his heart
even makes him to do slightest physical contacts: pinches her sleeves, fiddles with her hair, plays with her earrings... and the list continues
kiki’s the one takes care him when he starts to get stuck in the studio for the work
takes him to the short walk, late night drives, make him foods and be sure he gets rest
sometimes they just sit together in the universe factory and chats about the song, anime and composing stuffs, eats takeouts and sessions or duets randomly
she joins as a recording direction besides him time to time, esp in the jp songs recording: she’s the lyricist of the jp songs is one of the reasons but also she has the good ears and able to hear the subtle difference like he does
woozi: *points out the differences* others: okay but WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE kiki: ??? wasn’t it obvious...???
well apparently she’s the closest female to him on the planet ( except his family ofc )
he rarely calls her noona but mostly just calls her kiki, there’s no paticular reason it’s just what it is

Megatron's Opposite Day
"I free slaves"
This is Soundwave binding Ratbat but seeing as Megatron did the same thing to Pentius by putting his spark into Trypticon and reformatted Rumble and Frenzy into cassettes against their will I think he approves a lot of this practice
Megatron on Optimus and humans, after his defeat in All Hail Megatron ⬇️
he really salty
"I implant ideology" aka brainwashing
Decepticon cause = Megatron. nuff said.
"I liberate cities" says the person who let Nyon burn to make a point
Cities are too small, think bigger
Holding New York hostage.
"Like Autobots, they believe in the sanctity of life" which he doesn't. Kudos for being honest.
Allowing troops to do free-rein massacre is a reward for conquest. Nothing like some easy murder for de-stressing.
The Simanzi massacre which halved the Cybertronian population is off-screen so it doesn't deserve its own pic
"The revolution"
"We only feel good when we stand with a blade in one hand and a throat in another" "Let's make the entire face of the planet into our new gladiator arena"
What nice, confidence-inspiring revolutionaries. I'm sure they'll rule the population with benevolence after they've killed all the Necessary People with Necessary Violence. Final interpretation of what constitutes as Necessary is reserved for the sole discretion of Megatron, ofc.
Good goals.
Sentinel might be an absolute asshole but at least he's got one thing right: they're literally a gang of thugs who gets high off murder.
"The people are my utmost concern"
'The people': ................
"Battling for freedom"
Freedom of what? Function? Autonomy?

the ability to choose whether to fight? on which side to fight?
Idk why they used the word "pogrom" for this, it's way too specific
Anyways it doesn't matter, they won't be missed.
Good for Bumblebee for calling him out. Screenshotted this just to appreciate Megatron's bitchy face ⬇️
Other urban legends:
"Megatron loves Cybertron" let's just burrrrn it
He did fight to save Cybertron in Chaos Theory but also made it pretty clear why he did it. It's not out of the goodness of his heart or any sentimental reasons like that. It's an ego/dominance thing.
Plus his wording when he's trying to convince Optimus to let him go with the Lost Light: "I broke the planet. And that, Optimus, is why I owe it to you - to everyone - to find a replacement."
Replacement.
In other words: I made a mess and can't be bothered to clean it up, so I want to get away from it and find somewhere new to start clean.
I don't think Optimus appreciates the favour.
"Megatron tore down a corrupt government" which is true, just too bad that he's worse
He's also, um, a closeted Zeta admirer?
"Megatron advocates equality" ???
Megatron x dictatorship is literally his OTP. They were inseparable for four million years. A lot of people died trying.
"Megatron cares about the Decepticons" no he doesn't. Not his troops nor its cause.
Like for one thing he treats them with complete scorn
Admits that the most useful thing about keeping Starscream around is that he can bully underlings into line
Wants to use the humans' nuke to get rid of his troops and reformat them into peaceful drones after they outlive their use because they were "too ruthless" for his perfect peaceful society
Has zero scruples about fighting Deceptigod, just affronted that his own soldiers are being used against him
And basically just drops the Decepticons like a bag of vermin after he surrenders. He never once mentions them of his own accord, other than to insist he has nothing to do with them. Even his surrender speech is something Optimus makes him do as exchange b/c he wants to go on parole. He wasn't planning on making a public address otherwise, he was just going to leave them hanging.
Looking at the publication timeline, Megatron started out as an established Evil McEvilson-type villain similar to how he is in G1 and it's not until Chaos Theory in 2011 that JRo really gave him a sympathetic backstory that drew his characterization away from the bloodthirsty pugno ergo sum warlord into someone who once held ideals about societal reform and remains convinced of his own moral supremacy throughout the 4 mill years of death and war, adding worldbuilding such as Functionism/oppression/government corruption as justification for the beginning of the Decepticon movement. But because the start of the Decepticons was already written in Megatron Origins and every evil thing he'd done up till Chaos Theory can't be retracted and they had to keep Megatron as a villain until his story was no longer central to the Autobot-Decepticon war line, and JRo didn't try to downplay the atrocities he'd committed (some of the most sadistically disturbing things Megatron did were exclusively in MTMTE flashbacks), but rather tried to distance him from them and placed the focus on the juxtapositions to emphasize change, this as a whole just resulted in Evil McEvilson getting turned into Hyper McHypocrite.
#That being said I genuinely enjoyed Megatron's redemption arc in mtmte/ll. It's one of those stories that's very poignant and moving#on an emotional level#even though the plot itself doesn't hold up that much under close scrutiny.#moved this to the tags to make the post cleaner#I would've liked it more if LL used a few more panels to show Megatron Actually Making Friends#instead of shunting him into a parallel universe for idk how many issues in an already limited run#transformers#idw transformers#maccadam#megatron#trying to clear out more screenshots

Okay but imagine Fourth Wing characters as F1 drivers...
Xaden: Son of a very talented but disgraced driver, and by disgraced I mean Fen Riorson discovered some kind of corruption and race fixing but FIA somehow put all the blame on him and boycotted him from everywhere. And now Xaden is the best driver and has multiple championships, exposing FIA at every step without even trying. Break rules but all within the "law" so no one can kick him out. The sponsors are crazy about him. If the sport loses him then they will lose more than half the funding and sponsors. He even won races with very poorly built cars.
Violet: One of the nepo drivers who everyone thought would fail and tarnish the Sorrengail name. Her older brother is a retired two time champion turned strategist, her sister Mira one time champion and now more focused on F1 Academy for female drivers, her mother Lilith is the legend, multiple championships and the first woman champion, her father a F1 legendary reporter. Everyone was expecting her to fail just because she didn't look much confident and looked a bit fragile, everyone talked about how she is in the sport because of her family name. Her first half of her debut season went terrible, multiple DNFs and car damages, but the second half was complete opposite. She went from P18 in the championship to P4. She even went wheel to wheel with Xaden in a few races and shared podiums, proving everyone wrong.
Liam: He is the guy who treats this sport as his hobby which he is really good at. A born racer with a heart of gold. Multiple race winner, finished second in championships twice. Everyone takes him as a competition but he takes everyone as play dates. He was seen with Xaden outside of racing many many times, a strong pure bromance. If you hate him then there is something seriously wrong with you
Bodhi: Cousin of Xaden so sometimes gets overshadowed, but if anyone is going to shine in the darkness aka a very wet race or chaotic race, it's him. People try to push the Xaden vs Bodhi narrative but it always fails. Most people underestimate him and then are left with shocked Pikachu face when he comes out as the star of the race.
Garrick: He is the type of driver who either starts working out or takes a long nap when a race is delayed. Multiple race winners. Has a lots of fans, owner of a gym chain. Got a couple of race bans and penalty points but could care less. Has a mechanic background so knows a lot about cars.
Imogen: No one does it like her. The risk taker, the badass winner. You think you hate her but you actually realize you love her. She is the reason there is a sea of pink at the grandstands. Hated Violet when she first joined but a year later both were seen go karting together kicking Garrick and Xaden's ass. Calls out bullshit and whenever she has the mic the FIA drowning in their own sweat
Rhiannon: Got into F1 with pure talent and least funding. Had to struggle a lot in the junior series because of the lack of sponsors and funding, but her talent put her on the map and got just enough sponsor for a team to pick her. Then her talent did the rest of it. Now she has multiple year contract and multiple sponsors. Best friend of Violet but they always race wheel to wheel, even crashed into one another but absolutely no bad feelings. Rhiannon even abandoned her race once after Violet crashed just to see if her best friend is okay
Ridoc: He is the reason FIA had to come up with "no cursing or use of bad language" in the team radio. He gives names to his cars. Listens to the most obnoxious music and makes everyone else listen to it as well. Master in wet races. Talks to his car while racing. Friends with everyone. He is the guy you love to interview. Got fined for calling the stewards "babes"
Sawyer: The polite guy who is a beast on track. Everyone thought he would be quiet and barely manage to win but soon became a fan favorite. A true gentleman, with a hint of mischief. Ridoc often gets him in trouble during interviews. He is the type of guy your mom and sisters would trust to drive and drop them at home safely
Cat: Another nepo baby. She started off with lots of haters because of her aggressive racing style and superiority complex but no one can deny that she is an excellent driver. Can go wheel to wheel with all the star drivers. There is a rivalry between her and Violet, but they are currently frienemis, rivals on track, complementing each other's outfit off track.
Jack Fucking Barlowe: If he doesn't crash and DNF then he finish below P15. Somehow FIA always pardons him and he just gets much worse. There is not a single driver on the grid who likes him. Got punched by both Violet and Cat and that says a lot
Aaric: The breakout star of the year. Came in as a rookie and finished P5 in the championship. Somehow he can always predict other drivers' strategies. If he has a better car he would always be on the podium. Pure talent but lot to learn. Garrick's new gym partner
Sloane: She and her brother's childhood dream was to drive for the same team, be teammates, and race each other. And they both made it happen. Has the record of scoring the highest points by a rookie on their first race.
Dain: His dad was a former one time champion and he dreams to be just like his father. Has been raised to be a champ. He has won races but never got close to winning a championship. Everyone knew he had a huge crush on Violet but after a "incident" on track which involved him, Violet and Xaden, his friendship with Violet had been hanging by a thread. His father is very critical of him but worse on the other drivers, even tried to sue Xaden when Dain lost a race due to time penalty for track incident between him and X

Why is the trend chart for mgb suck? I mean it was one of the hypest series when gmm announced them. Be my favorite had better numbers right? I thought it could be a big break for both of them, well…. My baby Gawin deserves better
hello anon!
from what I saw, the 2 main things people seem to be complaining about are the production quality (mostly the cgi and editing) and tong's character aka he's too stereotypical and Gawin doesn't fit the submissive type etc.
While I agree with the first one and that the production quality is mediocre, I completely disagree with the second one lol. I think Tong is a loveable character and a nice contrast for Gawin after playing completely opposite characters thus far. Tong's poutiness and his naiveness are part of his nature and I find it very entertaining lol. Gawin understands the assignment and he delivers. That's what was advertized in the trailer and that's exactly what we're getting lol so I don't understand why people are so taken aback by this.
And yes some of the lines are cringe and so is the cgi and the editing and I see why people don't like it - and maybe under different circumstances I would agree - but I'm enjoying it and I got what I came for so I'm staying lmao.
Also I'm not ruling out the possibility that it will do better later on, which is the case for many series that had a weak start. who knows.
xxx
#my golden blood#jossgawin#gmmtv#opinions#like people will really watch a vampire bl and then complain about the vampires and bl characters lmao#like what were you expecting?

Reverse unpopular opinion ask meme: Irregular polygons
Irregular polygons are awesome. You can do so much more with them, in so many areas, but I'm going to limit myself to talking about just two of them: tiling and triangle centers.
(Did you think I was going to be all snobby toward my irregular friends and give them only grudging approval? Heck no, I love those guys! And so by the rules of the meme I get to infodump about the things I love, so this may be long but you asked for it.)
Let's first talk about covering the plane with copies of a single shape -- a monohedral tiling. And for now, let's restrict ourselves to periodic tilings. All triangles and all non-self-intersecting quadrilaterals tile the plane periodically, so that's not very interesting. All you have to do is place one polygon and then make copies by rotating 180 degrees around the midpoints of the sides.

With five sides, things become more complicated, because regular pentagons don't tile by themselves, but there are fifteen ways an irregular pentagon can periodically tile the plane. Here are four of them that were discovered in 1976 and 1977 by Marjorie Rice, an amateur mathematician.
There are three types of monohedral periodic convex hexagonal tilings.
For polygons with seven or more sides, there are no monohedral periodic tilings using a convex prototile , but there are periodic tilings for nonconvex polygons of any size. Some of them are quite famous.

Most of Escher's work in his Regular Division of the Plane series uses shapes with curves as well as straight sides, so they don't show polygon tilings, strictly, but the patterns do point toward complex tilings that are visually pleasing.
Irregulars can tile aperiodically, too. Here's a pentagon tiling with 6-fold rotational symmetry. It can be extended infinitely, and tilings can be constructed with pentagons for n-fold symmetry of any n>2.
Going back to non-convex shapes, here's the Voderberg tile, an enneagon that forms a spiral tiling. Notably, one copy of the shape can be completely surrounded by two others.
And of course I can't go without mentioning the tiling news of the century: "Tile (1,1)", aka the Hat, aka the T-shirt, a tridecagon (and polykite) that can tile the plane but only aperiodically. IDK if you follow polygon news but this was huge.
Okay, enough about tilings. With tilngs it's pretty easy to get what's going on just by looking at them, but my next topic, triangle centers, requires a bit more explanation. Also there's a bit of jargon, but I will try to keep it simple.
Take an arbitrary triangle ABC. Where is its center? One way you might define it is to find the midpoint of each side and draw a line to it from the opposite vertex. Each line divides the triangle in half, and these three lines (the medians) all cross at a point, the centroid. This works for any triangle, no matter its shape. The point marks the center of gravity of the area of the triangle, and also the center of gravity of its vertices. Based on that, you could consider this the center of the triangle.
Or you could work with angles instead of sides. Draw lines from each vertex that divide the angles in half (the angle bisectors). These all meet at a point called the incenter, which marks the center of the largest circle that fits inside the triangle. To put it another way, it's the point that is equidistant from all three sides. That's another point you could call the center of the triangle.
Or, how about a circle around the triangle instead? From the midpoints of the sides, draw the perpendicular bisectors. Again, they all intersect at a point, the circumcenter, which is the center of the circle that passes through the vertices -- the point that is equidistant from all three of them. So you could also call that the center of the triangle.
Or how about drawing perpendicular lines from the sides again, but having them pass through the opposite vertices (the altitudes)? They coincide at a point called the orthocenter. Isn't that neat? Yet another point we could call the center of the triangle.
But wait -- can we? For an obtuse triangle, the circumcenter and the orthocenter are going to lie outside the triangle. (For the orthocenter of an obtuse triangle, you have to extend each side into a line, and draw the altitude as a perpendicular to that.) Being outside a thing is really not what we have in mind when we talk about the center of the thing. Should we care about that?
Maybe not. Check this out. We'll go back to the circumcircle, and draw tangents to it at the three vertices. The three tangents form the tangential triangle (in blue), which we'll call A'B'C', where A' is opposite A, and so on with B and C. Now draw the circle that passes through A, A', and the circumcenter, and do the analogous construction for B and C (in red). The three circles coincide in two places: the circumcenter and another point called the far-out point. And as the name suggests, this is usually well outside the triangle, even for acute triangles.
There's no reasonable way to call this point the center of the circle. But so what? I just love the fact that the three circles line up like that. I no longer care about finding "the" center of the triangle. I no longer care that "center" is rather a misnomer for many of these points. I just think it's neat that you can draw these constructions on ordinary aysmmetrical triangles and they keep all converging on one point. Want more? Reflect the medians across the angle bisectors, and they all meet at the symmedian point. Or connect the vertices of the tangential triangle with the intersections of the medians and the circumcircle. Those lines meet at the Exeter point. Or, from each vertex, draw the line that splits the perimeter of the triangle in half. These are called the splitters, and they meet at the Nagel point. And on and on and on.
You can simply wander around a triangle, connecting things that relate somehow to vertex A, then do the equivalent thing for B and C, and stumble upon new centers. And there are tens of thousands of these things, constructed with straightedge and compass or by other methods. And there are so many ways to enjoy these things. You can page through the enormous collection and get a kind of stamp-collecting satisfaction just looking at their variety and knowing that they exist. Or you can appreciate the proofs that show that the constructions really do specify a unique point. Or proofs that show that a point constructed to have one property has a surprisingly different property. Or you can notice that the points fall into certain families and appreciate the connections between them. (For instance, the centroid, circumcenter, orthocenter, far-out point, and Exeter point, among others, all happen to lie on the same line, the Euler line.) Or you can convert the points to trilinear coordinates, manipulate them algebraically, and get to know them that way.
But to appreciate them at all, you need to work with irregular triangles. Because here's the thing: in an equilateral triangle, all these points collapse to the same point. Everything simplifies to a single center, and the incredible wealth of invisible structure that teems inside every ordinary triangle is gone.
You have finally found "the" center, but at what cost? Symmetry is death. Only through asymmetry will the vast truth of the triangle be revealed to you.
And those are just a few of the reasons irregular polygons are cool!

ASDLKFJADKJ I love how you two immediately jumped to 'ok but like... is he #4 material?' (For those wondering, "What The Hell Is A #4?", the answer is linked here for reference.)
(The way to a woman's heart is through her favourite animal, obviously.)
Halsin is very much Roisia's type physically—aka large and in charge—and he has character traits that she would be attracted to: he's kind and compassionate, strong-willed and decisive, gentle and slow to anger, and in possession of a wry sense of humour and a keen intellect. So, yes, in that regard, Halsin definitely stands next to Wyll on the "suitable suitor to bring home" list. Top tier. Well done.
Additional rambling thoughts below the cut.
The trouble with Roisia when it comes to matters of the heart is that she unwittingly looks at a person, thinks she knows their true desires, can play out their combined future in her head, and judge them as compatible or incompatible without questioning her basic assumptions about that person. So, for example, Roisia would in many ways find Halsin an ideal romantic partner. And then, she would get into her own head. Like so:
Halsin is an archdruid. An elf accustomed to leading a notoriously outdoorsy lifestyle in a grove. Roisia is going to someday inherit an entire funerary business and wants to stay in Baldur's Gate, known for being not-at-all grove-like. Surely Mr. Outdoorsman will feel cooped up and miserable in a city if he thought the Grove was too comfortable for his tastes. Incompatible!
Halsin is all about the Natural Order of Things. Balance. Guess who disrupts said natural order when she takes dead things and reanimates them? Roisia. Roisia does. So they're at opposite ends of an ideological spectrum. Incompatible!
He's an elf; she's a human. They are on two different timelines as regards their lifespan. Unless Roisia can guarantee her own extended lifespan in a way that preserves the flesh on her bones in addition to her bones, she wants to grow with her #4 and not outpace her #4. Incompatible!
Again, these are assumptions that Roisia would make about Halsin, and I think she would ultimately write him off as a potential #4 more out of fear of some future rejection down the line than of Halsin necessarily explicitly confirming any of these assumptions to be true OR as relationship dealbreakers if they were. I want to shout out to @gracelessrogue for their tags:
It would not occur to Roisia that she could bond with a druid and a healer over life and death. If she would only think to challenge her own baseline assumptions about what she thinks she knows about the people she's travelling with, I think she would see the ways in which she could nurture long-term romantic connections with one or multiple of our possible companions.
Because, as it is, I think the larger issue is that Roisia would write off not just Halsin, but all the current known companions as not being a good fit for her #4. I don't think she would look at any of them and say: 'This person would stay with me in the city of Baldur's Gate and be totally, completely comfortable and content in a house with bodies in the basement, my skeleton father roaming the halls, and a graveyard right out back.'
Granted, it's still only Act 1/EA, but that's just a real bummer.

Maria Thorpe Character Analysis
Well, I simply can’t disappoint the people – aka, the five of you that will read this, lmfao. I’m so serious about this that I’m actually drafting this on a Google doc before I post this rather than just typing random thoughts on my phone. This is going to be a HUGE ramble that probably won’t make a ton of sense, but I hope it’s entertaining regardless.
Maria Thorpe – a character that Ubisoft probably spent MAYBE thirty minutes thinking about, but that I have not stopped thinking about for like, five years. What a gal. So glad I was not in this fandom in 2012 to witness how HEINOUS people were about her for simply being a woman “in the way” of a M|M relationship. I hope by the end of this ramble, you, too, will see her for the baddie she truly is.
In this essay, I will delve into Maria’s character to explore why she is so fascinating to me, the implications of her story, and why Ubisoft can actually catch these hands for dumbing her down in AC Revelations. (I'm putting a cut here because it's so fucking long I'm sorry gang)
First off, to understand Maria Thorpe as a character, you have to understand her background. I’m not going to copy and paste her Wiki or anything, but I am going to outline her life (stated and implied) before we meet her.
For those that don’t know, Maria was born an English noblewoman in 1161 – four years before Altaïr was born (okay cougar). Because she was a tomboy and defied many of the social norms for women in the 12th century, she was ostracized by both her parents and her peers. She mentions in The Secret Crusade that her parents tried to force her to conform, which culminated in her first marriage at the age of 18 to Lord Peter Hallaton. She mentions that he was a decent husband, but he didn’t exactly appreciate her more boisterous nature. After all, in 12th century England (especially among nobility), women were to be seen, not heard. She also failed his expectations as a chatelaine and a wife, as she bore him no children. The Bishop of Leicester granted them an annulment to avoid embarrassment to both Peter and Maria’s family. When she returned, she was “persona non grata” to her family and the whole of Leicestershire, especially when her father had already spent her dowry. With no other options, Maria ran away to join the Third Crusade, where she eventually met Robert de Salbé.
You may notice that we don’t actually know a lot about Maria and her life before AC1, which is probably intentional. To me, though, that’s what makes her backstory fascinating – the implications of her environment and what we can reasonably deduce she went through based on historical context. I think anyone who’s taken a seventh-grade social studies class could tell you women had, like, zero rights in 12th-century England – even more so, noblewomen. Maria was raised to be a glorified broodmare – say nothing, have children (two boys and a girl, as she jokes), and run her husband’s household. Clearly, she was the exact opposite of all of these things. Something interesting about Maria’s first marriage is the fact that while it was an annulment, she specifically mentions in The Secret Crusade it was an annulment to save her family further embarrassment – which implies that the marriage was consummated, but all parties wanted it done with. I don’t think I need to elaborate on how common and horrific an experience like that could be, but I think it fuels Maria’s relationship later on with motherhood, especially since she mentions that she was completely uninterested in childrearing and birth (this is a key point I’ll touch on later).
So what? Why does her background matter? It matters because of how historical and cultural context tie in to help form who she is by the time she leaves for the Third Crusade – a desperate, twenty-two-year-old woman, divorced, ostracized from the only family and society she has ever known, having no other choice than to ditch England and head for the Holy Land unless she wants to become a nun. For many men and women alike in the 12th century, this was their only opportunity to become something more than what they were born as, whether it be a serf, a blacksmith, or a noblewoman. Many who left for the Third Crusade left to “take back the Holy Land,” but also to escape or improve their current standings. To me, Maria falls in the second category, and it is this desperation to escape her life that forms her most notable (and later, tragic) characteristic: her undying loyalty.
As a side note, it is also interesting to me that Maria chose to be a soldier rather than a nurse. This is more so my characterization of her, but I think that’s because a) she’s too damn proud and loud to be a nurse, and b) because if she was a nurse, she would more than likely live and be treated the same way she was at home. Truly, if she wants to escape the patriarchy, the only way a woman like Maria could at the time was to join it by blending in. Girly get some therapy.
We’re now at AC1 in the timeline. Hooray! We don’t know when exactly Maria joined the Templars or when she first met Robert, but we can probably assume it was not long after she joined the crusade. As we know from AC1, AC Bloodlines, and The Secret Crusade, Maria disguised herself as a man (more than likely a young boy since she’s got a voice that would fit right into Alvin and the Chipmunks) and was able to keep up the rouse long enough to rise in the ranks and show promise to people like Robert. For Maria, when Robert finds out she is a woman and yet elevates her further, it is the first time in her life that someone has appreciated her for her masculine qualities. It is why she develops an intense loyalty for Robert to the point of being willing to be his decoy, despite the fact she fully anticipated dying. For Maria, it would be her ideal end – fighting to the death for a cause she truly believed in. Not even really a cause, as we figure out later, but more so for a man she truly believed in – Robert. It would not be through the pain and subjugation of childbirth like most women of her standing, but a brutal fight like any other man.
And yet – she doesn’t. When Altaïr meets her, he’s undergone a whole development arc, whereas Maria (at this point 30, which is SO funny to imagine her fistfighting this 26-year-old frat boy) is at the start of hers. And it starts with Altaïr sparing her – the worst possible fate that could become her at this point in her life. Think about it: the only person who has given her an OUNCE of respect has asked her to essentially die for him by acting as his decoy. As Maria mentions in AC Bloodlines, by this point, she is also a step away from becoming a knight – and at this point, she’s also known as a woman among the Templars. And yet, she believes they have become her family, and she is willing to die for their cause and for Robert. When Altaïr spares her and kills Robert, he’s sentencing her to the life she ran away from and feared – being nothing more than a woman who is looked down upon with condescending snarls and disgust for who she is.
This is why when we meet Maria in AC Bloodlines, she is rightfully PISSED. We literally see her realize that any ounce of respect and power she had is completely gone because Altaïr spared her. She is so pissed, in fact, that she tries to kill Altaïr again. This is even funnier when you remember how much of a BITCH it was to fight her in AC1, but I digress. Altaïr has destroyed everything she has built in her life for the last eight years. He has taken her home, her mentors, her family, and her honor. And bro doesn’t have a clue in the fucking world.
It’s at this point that I’ll also analyze more about Maria’s relationship with the Templars. At first glance, yes, she was a Templar and believed in their cause. Really, though, it goes far deeper than that. It’s not necessarily that Maria believes in their cause – otherwise, it would’ve taken a lot more for Altaïr to sway her to the Assassins – but that she believes in the people. Again, from Maria’s perspective, the Templars (especially Robert) were the ONLY people in her entire life to treat her with dignity, and she is willing to die for them. She is willing to throw her honor to the ground and beg for forgiveness in front of Bouchard because, without the Templars, she is nothing. She is back to square one as a silly little girl trying to run from a life that would only subjugate her. It’s that recurring characteristic of undying loyalty to those who have given her the life she has always wanted.
And for Maria, it is immediately spat back in her face.
When Bouchard takes over in AC Bloodlines, he is a strict Templar Grandmaster. No consorting with women, periodt. And he flaunts this over Maria, taunting her. He is tearing the last ounce of respect she’d ever received and throwing it away. Every sacrifice she made for the Templars for the last eight years meant nothing, and it is crushing to her. She continues to be pissed off at Altaïr, who mentions that she’s more pissed at the Templars than at him. Once again, she is nothing more than a woman – an imprisoned one at that.
This is where one of my favorite Maria scenes (not that there’s many) comes into play. When she and Altaïr are sitting on the ship to Cyprus or wherever it doesn’t matter, Altaïr does something that no person has done for her before: he treats her with unconditional respect. As funny as his autistic ramble about Empedocles and philosophy is, there are so many assumptions that go into Altaïr’s conversation that I think help sway Maria to his side. When he talks to Maria, he speaks to her as an equal. He talks to her about philosophy because of course she would know about philosophy in his mind – to him, she is a soldier and a person first, and a woman second (shut the fuck about The Secret Crusade and him thinking about her as a lioness shut up shut up I low key hate it even though it’s funny). He is the first person in her life to speak to her as an equal and with respect with no strings attached. In fact, when Maria taunts him for leaving her cuffed even as he talks about free will, he lets her go. She may not like him at this point, but after this scene, you can certainly see that she respects him in how she speaks to him. BONUS: she’s not trying to outright kill him anymore! Hooray!
You can see the impact Altaïr and his conversation had on Maria when she confronts Shahar in her courtesan fit. There’s so many layers to Maria willingly dressing in such an exposing, vulnerable, and feminine way (keep in mind this bitch is Catholic, I know her guilt was going crazy), but what I’m going to focus on is her conversation with Shahar. When he speaks to her, he is gross and all but catcalling her, calling her a “little fox” and using a sultry tone. Maria is having NONE of it, and one can only assume this is a tone she has dealt with a thousand times over. This is also where we see the gears turning in Maria’s head. I’ve seen people criticize Maria for how quickly she flip-flopped, but I think that’s overlooking the reason that she WAS a Templar – they were the only people who provided her a home when she had none. If you’re desperate for anyone to treat you with an iota of respect, you’d do whatever they ask. After she talks to Altaïr though, and especially after realizing Robert was simply manipulating her, she is questioning the Templars’ ideologies and realizing this is not what she wants. It low key is like Alicent in House of the Dragons right now – she’s shocked that fighting against women fucked herself over. Maria is similar in that sense – she thought that by being what the Templars wanted and fighting for what they believed, it wouldn’t come back to bite her in the ass. But it did. She’s a woman before she’s a Templar, and the ideology of the Templars would see her subjugated just as she was before. It isn’t until after Altaïr’s spiel about free will and the challenges it brings that she realizes she has other options.
And that’s ultimately what brings Maria to the side of the Assassins – realizing her errors in thinking and wanting a way to redeem herself. The Assassins are her second chance, which is ironic given how many stories after hers would follow this same format of second chances. But it isn’t just the ideology change, either. It’s Altaïr. No, she does not have undying loyalty by the end of AC Bloodlines, but he’s certainly earned her trust and respect. He’s treated her like any other person without ever holding power or loyalty over her head. He does not manipulate her or exploit her – he respects her, and he earnestly tells her of the creed’s ideologies not to lure her in, but because he genuinely believes in the idea of dispelling the illusions of the world and wants to share it with her, whether she becomes an Assassin or not. That is what turns Maria into an Assassin at the end of the day: his respect for her and his understanding of the creed. And despite their issues, Maria chooses to follow him to the ends of the earth.
Now we’re at a really funny part of Maria’s story: we know basically NOTHING about what happens in between AC Bloodlines and AC Reflections. We know that sometime after traveling to Masyaf, Maria and Altaïr became a couple. We know they married in 1195 and gave birth to Darim the same year. Two years later, they would traumatize Desmond Miles by fucking on top of a castle, which is so fucking funny and only supports my characterization of Maria as a gremlin, because who the fuck else would make their husband climb up a giant ass tower for sex? We know she officially became an Assassin and would beg Altaïr to stop looking into the Apple. We know she would join Altaïr and Darim to Mongolia to kill Genghis Khan. And that is all we know for an approximately 30-YEAR PERIOD.
While there’s a lot I could talk about in that gap, like Maria’s relationship with other Assassins, I’m going to focus on her relationship with motherhood. As we established earlier, Maria had ZERO interest in being a mother or giving birth. This is a personal headcanon but I do not care because it’s MY analysis and I can do as I please, but I feel like she would’ve dreaded childbirth, especially given how English nobility acted about it (e.g., how people treated it like a scandal or disease) and how it was the leading cause of death for women until the 20th century. Yet, despite this, she had not one, but TWO children. She was like one away from the goal, and even then Sef had two daughters so really she fulfilled it. But why? What changed that she would be willing to do the very thing she left England to avoid?
I think it goes back to the reason she was disinterested in it in the first place. Like Maria says in The Secret Crusade, she didn’t want to just be a mother or a wife. Her ideal husband would treat her like any other man, taking her hunting or whatever else bullshit medieval stuff they’d do instead of scrolling through TikTok. She never said she didn’t want to be a mother. I think her hesitance stems from the fact that she didn’t want to SOLELY be defined as a mother or a wife. With Altaïr, however, that fear is pretty much gone. Since the moment she met him, Altaïr has always treated her with respect and admired the things she was once shamed for. Her strength is valuable as an Assassin. Her bluntness keeps him in check. Her ideas are admired rather than ridiculed. To Altaïr, Maria is not just a woman or even just an Assassin. She’s a person with her own experiences and ideas and fears and strengths and dreams. He loves her for every aspect of herself that was once frowned upon.
I remember a while ago seeing a Tumblr post from ye olden days (like 2012) talking about how because menstrual cycles were extremely irregular back in the day due to medieval diets and exercise, Maria would have to purposefully chill out to regulate her cycle to become pregnant. What that implies is that she trusted Altaïr so much that she was willing to settle down and have children because she knew it would not influence how he treated or loved her. Personally, I think this is true of Darim, but that Sef was an accident because it’s funnier that way, but regardless, the point still stands. Maria getting pregnant and becoming a mother is the opposite of what she thought she would ever want, but because she loved and trusted Altaïr so much, she was willing to have a family with him because she knew it would not come to define her. I think that is unbelievably sweet.
We also don’t really see Maria interact with her children very often, which I think is a fucking shame. When she does interact with Darim (we never see her with Sef, though we do see her reaction to his death), Maria is always supportive and encouraging. Again, this is more my headcanon territory but I really don’t care because I can do what I fucking please, but Maria low key feels like a boy mom to me, but not in the weird Freud way, lmfao. Like we established earlier, Maria’s key trait is her loyalty. I think this loyalty would be extended to her children. We know she’s loyal to Altaïr (it ends up killing her), but I feel like it would go insane with her children. When she learns of Sef’s death in The Secret Crusade, this woman breaks down in tears instantly. WHERE THE FUCK WAS THE MOTHERLY RAGE WITH ABBAS, UBISOFT. WHERE WAS IT. Anyways.
Masyaf is a pretty cutthroat environment to raise a child, especially when you consider that Abbas is apparently lurking in the background scheming during Altaïr’s reign. Something I wish we learned more about (and something I just find fascinating in general) is the political environment of Masyaf. Altaïr implemented a lot of changes to the Brotherhood that faced backlash, one of the key ones being allowing women in the order again (ahem, Maria). I know Maria said she was uninterested in the politics of running a house, but I do think she’d kind of have to play her hand in politics in Masyaf, kind of how Altaïr realizes he’s not exempt from politics since he’s literally shaping them. If Maria wants her kids to be safe, especially as sons of the Master of the Assassins, she’s gotta play her cards well. This is why I think it does make sense for Maria to calm down after having children to be more similar to the Maria we see in AC Reflections and AC Revelations. She can’t just fight everyone like she did when she was relying solely on herself. Now, she has people relying on her, and I think it makes sense for her character to chill out more (though without losing her spunk) to ensure her family is safe.
For those that have ever watched Magnificent Century, basically think about how Hurrem went from fighting everyone to playing her cards wisely so her kids wouldn’t die or do stupid shit. That’s how I feel like Maria would be.
Something else that’s interesting about Maria to me is her relationship with Altaïr. Duh, you’re probably saying, but hear me out. We know that while she and Altaïr were inseparable during their marriage, there was one thing that strained it: the Apple. It makes sense why Maria would be so pissed off at it. She’s seen Altaïr control men’s minds with it. She’s seen how it takes him away for days at a time with its secrets, to the point she is begging him to throw it away. Back to the point about loyalty to her family, whereas Altaïr seeks knowledge, Maria just wants her family protected and safe because she loves them – including her dumbass husband. It’s ironic that the very thing she fought about with Altaïr is the thing that killed her.
So we’re finally at AC Revelations, and I am truly shocked that you’re still here. Kudos to you. At that final confrontation scene with Abbas, that loyalty for those she loves comes to a head. When Altaïr whips out the Apple, Maria begs and pleads him to stop, because she knows if he uses the Apple to control someone, he will only be proving Abbas’s point, which will only fuck them over. In The Secret Crusade, we also have Malik’s head on top of this scene to make it worse. Maria’s position is again one of desperation. Her son is dead, one of her best friends is now just a head, and her husband is about to go sicko mode. She is screwed and she knows it. What she doesn’t know is that she’s about to be stabbed by Swami (I’m going with the revelations version shut up) in a last ditch effort to stop Altaïr from using the Apple. Altaïr doesn’t listen to Maria, and it kills her. He kills her.
… SO I HAVE THOUGHTS.
I think Maria dying from the Apple makes sense, I do. That’s not my problem. My problem is how AC Revelations basically dumbed her down to this motherly, homely figure which is the like, ANTITHESIS of what Maria is. Where was the feminine rage??? You’re telling me this woman would not be about to SLAUGHTER someone after learning that Sef died?? You’re telling me she would just pull an AltaïR thiS iSn’T yOu???????? Are you so fucking for real right now??? It pisses me off because it nukes her character. While yes, it makes sense for her to be a much calmer woman and 67 compared to 30, this is still Maria. Don’t act like she and Altaïr don’t have fucking anger issues and be so fucking for real.
Here’s my ideal scenario for what should’ve gone down. I think once they pulled Malik’s head out, there should’ve been all-out chaos rather than this bullshit “We killed everyone loyal to Altaïr before he arrived.” Maria should’ve been right there with them with a sword out. Altaïr, in a desperate attempt to calm everyone down, would take out the Apple and try to control everyone. If you’ve seen the long ass discussion about how Revelations fucked up Altaïr’s character arc, this also helps remedy that because Altaïr is pulling out because of his arrogance in believing he can control the Apple. News flash: he can’t. Maria, while fighting for Altaïr, would somehow be killed either by the Apple or like similar to how Swami accidentally killed her. Something along those lines where it is Altaïr’s fault. That’s how she should’ve gone out, not some weird pick me bullshit.
Anyways. RIP Maria Thorpe you would’ve loved Crusader Kings 3.
I definitely missed some points about her character but this is already 7 pages long on Google docs so I am NOT writing anymore. God bless.
TLDR she's a baddie and I need her so so so bad

#assassin’s creed#maria thorpe#altaïr ibn la'ahad#malik al sayf#ac1#character analysis#babblingbrook babbles#I should have been doing literally anything else than this#ITS SO LONG IM SO SORRY#like five of u are gonna read this but#the five of you that do will be thrilled#i put my whole kathrussy into this#this took me days guys DAYS#I gotta wrap this up bc I have stuff to do but please enjoy and im so sorry in advance lmfao

Time to be delulu yet completely serious on my bnha 423 opinions.
Good points: The resolution between AFO and Yoichi was satisfactory, love as a reason for evil and evil deeds, the rooftop trio having one final moment full of emotion, the moment of Kurogiri thinking about Tomura and the LOV, Deku having a quirk of his own born out of determination and hard work, Deku as the protagonist of bnha in general, Tomura's last actions and words.
Bad points: Rushed arc conclusions, moments that felt kinda repetitive or lacked the punch given that we've seen/lived them before, not the best compositions we've seen from Horikoshi on the panels, Tomura's arc being rushed to a martyr ending— for impact???? ( or it ending on another cliffhanger that is gonna turn to be different from what we expected ).
I'll go in depth, so please check under the cut.
GOOD POINTS:
Yoichi and AFO:
The last conversation among these brothers was everything I was expecting. The love was there and it transformed them. It made AFO a monster and Yoichi a ghost.
For me, this time the AFO ending needed to be quick because we've already said goodbye to him too many times. This was supposed to be about AFO's refusal to give up on his brother and the unresolved relationship of those two.
I really liked how Yoichi reminded AFO that he needs to face the consequences of his actions and that he's love won't be able to save them.
Villain love:
Love as a reason for pain and destruction is perhaps one of my favorite tropes. So many stories approach love as this purely morally good feeling, when in the end it is just like any other feeling, you know?
People go to war for love all the time. They kill for love. Die for love. Do unforgivable things for love. Human existence is sooooo complex, why would love be the exception?
Horikoshi has been REALLY careful with the AFO backstory and his motivations. He didn't want an antagonist that felt empty. He made AFO human without redeeming him, okay? Because our ability to sympathize with some of AFO's traits doesn't make him less evil. To put it simply, it means that evil things are also human at heart.
Even those acts that you can't forgive or forget are motivated by something.
Kurogiri and the rooftop trio:
We knew from the beginning they were not the main characters of this manga.
We've gotten their story through glimpses and moments. Their time together had always been somehow rushed. Too many things to say, not enough time and they are on opposite sides of the war after all.
We knew that Kurogiri would go back because we knew he would protect Tomura during the final fight. We knew that he'd help the heroes defeat AFO. We knew he'd have to make his choice and say his goodbyes to his old friends.
Kurogiri, Tomura and the LOV
"He's friends are waiting" along with the image of Spinner asking Kurogiri to bring Tomura back to them was the highlight of this chapter for me. (You all expected it, right?)
Something about the way it reads like a father who wants his son to live because he is being waited for. He has friends who love him and would do anything to protect him, see him safe and sound. Something about the symbolism of Spinner putting Father (aka Kotaro's hand) on Kurogiri's face as he asked for it.
This chapter acknowledged that Kurogiri and Shirakumo share the same character core. They are always the protectors, the ones who would sacrifice themselves to see their charge survive. Similar to how Mic was waiting for Shouta so Shirakumo made sure that Shouta would survive, Kurogiri wants to do the same for Spinner and Tomura.
This alone would require an entire post to elaborate.
Deku's quirk:
The debate between endgame quirkless Deku or endgame OFA user Deku is settle.
I really liked that Deku got a quirk on his own that was born out of his own determination to be a hero. It's a nice representation of all he is as a character and what he stands for. Similarly, I enjoyed a lot the fact that it was short-lived. I'm the type who likes it better when things require a sacrifice or when miracles have their own conditions.
Deku doesn't feel overpowered to me. You get that sense that he really deserves everything he has and that it hasn't been a nonsense gift from the narrative. There's also the human condition, the limitations that keep him grounded.
Bnha and Deku:
Deku defeating AFO 'cause villains and heroes help him, his friends being there for him and being there to cheer for him as he fights, his sensei being there despite the fact that Aizawa at first thought Deku wouldn't make it— all the details that make bnha what it is.
They were good.
The UA kids really keep the story consistent when it is about them. They don't give up on anyone, they fight for each other, they stay to witness things for themselves. I love them <3
Tomura's last actions and words:
Careful here. Listen to what I'm saying.
If the narrative had pointed out to this ending, this would have been a good way to execute it.
Tomura coming back along with the vestiges to pack one final punch to defeat AFO— I know many fans that would be moved to tears and would be super excited to see it. Tomura was on point in this chapter, dialoguing with Deku without the hatred in his heart, his face being clearer and almost tender.
He felt defeated, like he had accepted his death already. There's also the connection to Kurogiri and Nana (who defended him) and his words to Spinner, that are meant as a general message to depict how much Tomura values the LOV.
Even the fact that AFO kept him around 'cause a part of him loved / cared about Tomura feels fitting, but I'm not sure if I correctly read the leaks in that part...
Anyway, we got the old trope of the antagonist who used his last moments to help defeat the real villain. It serves as his redemption and the expectation is for the public to feel sorry bad for him.
BAD POINTS
Rushed conclusions:
In my opinion, this chapter was too fast paced and therefore was not as emotional as it should have been.
It doesn't give the feeling that it's fast because the battle is intense. It gives the feeling of too much information packed on one chapter, so nothing really shines on its own. It's way too informative, not enough action narration.
Like I said before, the fatal mistake of a story is to be boring. Art has to provoke you, it has to engage with you, question you, awake things in you. This chapter tho, many things happened at the same time and it grew a bit murky.
Repetitive moments
Again, personal opinion here.
I think certain bnha movies were a mistake. Not because they were bad or boring or whatever, but because Horikoshi wrote parts of bnha real ending into them to the point you'd say "we've already seen that" while reading bnha 423.
Deku and Bakugo teaming up to defeat AFO was so expected. Not as in "the narrative is making sense", but as in "we saw it on heroes rising".
I feel the same with the students all appearing to help Deku fight AFO. That's a typical shonen structure where the friends making space for the protagonist to reach the main villain. It was already happening, so why bring AFO back?? I think the story is over-explaining here, making everything way too obvious. We could have had AFO's resolution with Yoichi before and the students moment after. In truth, it feels like Horikoshi closed some character arcs before he should and left plot holes without explanation, so he needed to reopen to accommodate.
Panel composition:
I admire Horikoshi when it comes to panel composition. He has some amazing panels that make the story really flow, but bnha 423 isn't there.
There are too many elements clustered and empty spaces that don't feel with purpose (in manga, even the blanks must have a purpose). This chapter should have been at least two, so you wouldn't have to rush Bakugo appearing, Yoichi and AFO resolution, Kurogiri saying his goodbye to the rooftop trio and facing AFO for Tomura's sake, Deku remembering where he started and where he is, Tomura last words and the Tomura and Deku resolution...
Those are too many important plot points to illustrate in a hurry.
Also?? The panel of Tomura and Deku punching AFO is so unserious. Totally wrong place to be funny sjbdjdnd why does it even feel like the vestiges are punching air???
" Tomura's ending " :
I'm not the first to say it feels anticlimactic and as if it isn't the ending at all.
The major problem is that through the manga, Horikoshi has focused a lot on Tomura as a character, carefully developing him, giving him tropes that are often reserved for the hero or the main character, making sure we empathize with him, we understand him, hyping up Deku's journey to rescue him.
We got an entire arc from the LOV perspective. This is not the type of one sentence ending you give to an antagonist you spent so much ink and sweat on. The nonchalant way of Tomura accepting his death? The little reaction from Deku? What was the purpose of the manga building up the LOV friendship to the moment where Kurogiri told AFO that Tomura's friends were waiting for him, if you'd make him just disappear on thin air?
This reads absolutely like a bunny within a hat.
That's being optimistic.
If we want to be cynical, maybe this is all there is. I don't find it readable to end the story with Tomura dying. All that effort to save him and it ends in "oh well, he decayed along with AFO"?!
If you think about it, Toga status is unknown because we don't even know where she went or if she's still alive, Touya status is also unknown although we know he wanted to live and that the ice prevented him from further damage, we haven't seen Spinner, we don't know if Kurogiri vanished with that last attack on AFO and now we saw Tomura decaying into the wind.
Yo kill half the surviving LOV would be a bold move that wouldn't follow the narrative. The reward for the hero students should be being able to save their counterpart, so the world can regard them as the greatest heroes 'cause they save the unsalable and blah blah blah.
There's also the fact Tomura hasn't been saved yet. Tenko? Nana and Deku saved him from Kotaro. The crying kid? Saved from AFO by Deku and the vestiges and the others. Tomura? Nop, he's dying/dead. The one person Spinner really wanted to save was Tomura. He didn't know about the crying kid or Tenko. He wanted to save his friend, the "irredeemable" villain, the young man he played videogames with and fought alongside and vowed to follow.
If this is the end, it's incomplete.
So we might hope it is not the end.

shakes you by the shoulders DAZAI AND AKUTAGAWAAAA please talk about them omg i’m losing it. that part of the new chapter where akutagawa says he didn’t feel any pain under dazai’s mentoring and calls HIMSELF deplorable… akutagawa searching for dazai desperately after he vanished… and then that followed by atsushi wanting nothing to do with the headmaster and refusing to talk to him. sskk each processing their toxic relationships with their mentors in completely opposite ways … atsushi pitying akutagawa over treatment that akutagawa himself likely doesn’t even see as abuse. i’m so insane. anyway. please do expand upon your thoughts about dazai & akutagawa’s relationship in the context of atsushi’s with the headmaster i beg
hi i am typing this out on my phone on data feeling incomprehensible emotions so i can't provide screenshots rn (aka source trust me; i can provide sources from the text later tbh. fascinating how often i have dived into the bsd manga to reread for dazai-akutagawa. i'm insane over them.) but.
okay so: important premise and foundation stone. the thing about bsd and abuse to me forever is that it's once again the fact that bsd as a manga hates labels. i'm being facetious, but— labels placed in a toolbox to describe and communicate mutually-understood concepts, but which don't dictate behavior or lead to like... assumptions of, this is how you should feel or the actions you should be taking. anyway this is to say disclaimer it's never incorrect to me to say dazai abused akutagawa (i generally stick with terms like, put his entire brain in a pasta machine and turned the handle, instead, but like yeah he Did fuck up that kid forever in a way characterized by his power over him. heartemoji.) but simultaneously i am always tilting my head at a lot of specifically fanon interpretation of their dynamic as abuser-victim because i simultaneously think asagiri is never, ever playing that simple with it.
this applies to a lesser extent with the orphanage director & atsushi, but is present in some ways. because they make me insane and again, asagiri is never playing that simple + i think placing it into (v western-centric, but that's a discussion for another time) boxes of what victims should be feeling is reductive and misses the point, especially given that the characters themselves are not working inside that framework. this is primarily important to me with the discussion of like... resentment and anger in relation to the abuse, and how it ties into the way that bsd does not absolve wrongs done but looks at them with understanding and says, always. what now. what will you do with the aftermath and what's left. you have to move forward; what now?
so. the chapter where the orphanage director dies and its portrait of abuse lives rent free in my head. akutagawa directly parallels dazai and the orphanage director for their roles in his own and atsushi's lives respectively; it's the same sentiment through the way they treated akutagawa and atsushi respectively, as well. akutagawa in heartless cur mirrors the same emptiness constantly described in dazai; dazai offers the suicidal kid on the verge of self-destruction a reason to live, which is a temporary liferaft and messy and fucked up and does horrible at it, but: it is dazai looking at the kid he chose to pick up and trying to save him. it doesn't work because dazai himself is a fucked up teenager who doesn't have a reason to live, but it's an attempt (he takes it so seriously that he is akutagawa's mentor btw, even if it looks otherwise. that's his kid. that's literally his kid).
(to some extent, it's the same thing as kouyou-kyouka, and it's the same thing as akutagawa-kyouka— you offer someone looking to you a way to live, and you fuck it up (because you urself are not that good at living), but you're trying and it's driven by that fact. it’s a common thread i’m always, always fascinated by, but more relevantly— )
which is just to lead up to: atsushi and the orphanage director are paralleled to dazai-akutagawa. explicitly. and atsushi hates the orphanage director for what he did to him and he's narratively allowed to, bsd is never going to tell you his motivations cancel out what he did, but it doesn't undo that the orphanage director is realer than being just the 2d monster of atsushi's childhood. there’s something important to me forever in beast atsushi experiencing the same realization that canon atsushi does wrt the shattering realization that the blanket resentment+fury covers over how he does have more complicated feelings for the orphanage director and vice versa, the sudden realization of humanity and this time warped, vs the way again it does not ever absolve the orphanage director of what he did. the conversation with mori at the end of beast lives in my head forever.
it’s just. someone who forms ur framework of what it means to live. someone rooted deep in the bedrock of how you define yourself and who twisted your head about it forever and who you have eternally messy undefinable feelings about, who is infinitely infinitely human and who was still trying so hard to save you as best as they could, who saw themself in you and gave you the tools they themself had and it didn’t work but. it was something. it’s important to me, and i think it’s fascinating as a thread to draw back on as sskk adapt and grow and learn together to find new reasons to live. atsushi pushing through the door With the orphanage director matters so much to me— not in the sense of forgiveness, but in the sense of, his feelings have never been as simple as he wanted them to be and he is looking at that rn as he finds better ways to be alive.
#bsd spoilers#kavi.txt#sorry i have. so many feelings about bsd + mentormess forever i think#this did not actually get at ur original point abt how they each approach their relationships w their respective#mentor figures differently but like flops on the ground i'm insane 4ever about that as well. etc

Relationship quirks Maknae Line ver.
Aka habits I can see the boys doing in a relationship || 95s || 96s || 97s || Maknae line ||
Seungkwan Brings home food
IT DOES NOT MATTER if you have or have not eaten, are starving, or have a full belly! Boo Seungkwan is GOING. To. Bring. Home. Food. For. You. Won't take no for an answer! And not only did he keep snacks on himself before you guys started dating but even more so now. He is such a sweetheart who will never allow you to go hungry.
Honestly, he's hypocritical in that he'll start going on a diet but the minute that you say that you need to go on a diet - the gates of hell break loose in your home. Completely outraged that you won't eat at least a bite of what he's offering you. Pouts and acts like you just told him that you want to break up or something worse. The type to say, "FINE THEN I'LL EAT IT MYSELF", then proceeds to give you the nastiest stare-down of your life as he takes a bite. (If you don't concede to his little charade quick enough this WILL become a silent treatment game)
Vernon Sends pictures of himself
Lowkey, you become a photo storage for this man. Sends a photo to you every single time he thinks of you, which is a lot more often than one might think. Is constantly sending you pics of random things he's found and can't send to anyone else. The one constant is his damn face that never changes in any of the pics despite the angle changes. It's gotten to the point where you've had to ask how he does it but he just shrugs.
Every question you ask is answered in either a meme or a photo of him looking like his regular deadpan self, no words either and if you ask for clarification he just sends another photo of him looking confused as hell.
This really is his own special brand of clinginess. You'll hear a message notification from him, open it, and it's his face at the most unflattering angle... He's literally lying on your stomach right at this moment. No explanation, even if you ask he doesn't give one.
Dino Assumes you're following him everywhere
The opposite of Wonwoo's habit lol. Dino sees absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be by his side at all times. You're his number one comfort, so why wouldn't you be with him 24/7? Weird that you would even think he'd let you leave. He has a spider sense for when you're moving too far away from him and he will immediately grab and bring you towards him.
More than the physical though, this dude will not allow you to be by yourself. If he's going on tour, congrats! You are also going on tour! There's a company trip? Great! You're a part of the company now. It may even get to the point of him downright refusing to go places if he knows there won't be space for you.
"I need to go outside and get some fresh air." "Okay, babe." "I said...I need to go outside and get some fresh air." "Alright, hun, I'll be right here." *Genuinely tweaking out at this point, gets up, and grabs your hand. Dragging you with him.* "You could've just asked me to follow you." *Leaning his head on your shoulder, still slightly upset* "You're supposed to know! I need you near me whenever possible."
A/N: Super sorry that this one came a day late, lovelies! But it's here now and I absolutely adore these boys. I think my favorite of all the habits is probably Woozi's (I'm quite literally biased) but the one that I'm most like is Vernon. Wbu??? Please reblog and comment! Let me know ur thoughts in my asks. Oh! And my requests are opennnnn! Have a great one, babes!

I always think its a little unfair how Creek is mostly judged for acting smug and jerky during his betrayal aka two scenes out of the whole movie
when the majority of his other scenes in the film are him being scared and victimised and even a couple of scenes of him seemingly just being a good friend
( like sticking up for the snack pack against Branch when he was activly being mean to all of them and trying to calm everyone down when they were all in the cage )
yet all of these scenes are written off in favour of his two scenes post betrayal

which seems unfair for a couple of reasons
Creek seems to be the only one who gets this type of ultra harsh judgment of cocky unremorsful behavour Barb and Veneer also behave in such a way towards their victims for their enitire movies ( Veneer literally acts smug while activly torturing floyd and admitting he loves the fame and money it brings him ) also same with Bro zone members like JD and Bruce who also act smug and unremorsful towards Branch over their actions for the entire movie yet in their case it gets written off as not being their true moral characters in favour of how they act in two? scenes of the movie where they do actually act like good brothers which coincidentally are scenes where they are getting everything they want and face zero stress at all. meanwhile Creeks behavour is judged the opposite way by the fandom where his two scenes of acting jerky in the Highest stress situation you could possibly be in are viewed as his true moral character meanwhile with other characters like Barb and Veneer and Bro zone the majority of their scenes are spent behaving jerky and unremorsful for their actions and behavours but the very limited amount of scenes of them not behaving this way are treated as true reflections of their moral characters even tho they acted that way in scenes where everything was going their way and they had zero stress at all ( JD and Bruce only acted this way at the start and at the end of the film when they had zero stress in their lives anymore and thus had no reason to continue being jerks to Branch since they were getting everything they wanted already Barb had been stopped from enslaving her entire species and Poppy even offered her a hand of friendship making it clear she was home free and would face no repercussions and Veneer literally thought that by exposing his sister and switching sides at the end he'd be let off the Hook for their crimes the film even makes a joke out of this where he's surprised that he's still arrested in the end despite having a change of heart )
and secondly Creek being mainly judged for these scenes arguably dosn't make complete sense given the only explanation in the context of the situation that makes sense is that he's putting on a performance for chef's benefit as its not like he's given any reason to actually enjoy selling out his people if he was maybe characterised as secretly being resentful of his village and Poppy then maybe his attitude would make sense but that simply isn't the case so the only logical explanation for his smug behavour is that he's doing it so Chef dosn't turn on him thinking he'll go back on their deal if he appears conflicted or remorsful. plus he may just be trying to delude himself into thinking what's currently happening isn't that bad as a means of coping with a pretty terrible situation.
#I swear my longest posts are always about Creek lol I guess he's just such an interesting little guy to talk about 😂😂.#trolls creek sympathy#dreamworks trolls#creek trolls#trolls dreamworks#trolls#trolls creek#Youtube
