there's just... there is no reason to make yet another cop show in this day and age. copaganda is not only bullshit, it is a failure of imagination.
you want to watch brooding characters with dark pasts investigate crimes in an official capacity? just use private detectives (cops have a miserable solve rate anyway). want eccentric geniuses & their sidekicks solving mysteries? i present you with armchair detectives & neighborhood busybodies. oh, you're craving a workplace comedy-drama starring overworked protagonists doing their heartfelt best to resolve community conflicts? social worker office sitcom! bitch this is ACHIEVABLE

I’m sorry but you can’t cry “human rights violation!!!!” when you are actively carrying out a campaign of genocide.
#sorry but it doesn’t work like that!#you can’t decry humans rights violations of a group that doesn’t even represent a majority of innocent people (by the way)…#…if you are actively carrying out a genocide under the thinly veiled guise of going after that group#Genocide which is y’know one of the greatest violations of human rights since it seeks to completely eradicate one group of people.#like there are innocent people being caught in the crosshairs on both sides#not everyone living in Israel or who is Jewish supports the Israel government’s bombings of Gaza#not every Palestinian supports Hamas or condones their brutal attacks on innocent civilians#but to try and conflate the actions of a militant group to represent the thinking of all of the citizens and be an excuse to destroy them…#…isn’t right and deserves to be held accountable#also stop acting like there is not a massive power imbalance present#Israel has the Iron Dome and their own military forces and funding from the U.S.#Hamas has missels and stock piled resources from funding from Iran#Israel controls the food water fuel and medicine access to those that have been forced to live in Gaza#they are not in any way shape or form on equal footing which doesn’t make this a ‘war’#I can’t wrap my head around the fact that one of the groups persecuted in one of the most horrifying genocides is currently conducting…#…a genocide on another group of people#the rhetoric of gov’t officials from Israel dehumanizing innocent civilians points to the fact that this isn’t about retribution#but to conduct a genocide#if you don’t think that the current actions of the Israeli government aren’t wrong and are supporting it you can unfollow and block me!#like it’s not black and white but the actions that are currently happening are not acceptable

I try to stay out of major politics on my blog, but I keep seeing a lot of U.S citizens talking about their upcoming election as only two candidates and not wanting to vote for either. SO, to those people, may I present to you this:
The U.S. has more than 2 parties There are other people (and I’m talking more than just RFK), there are options—about 3 more: Cornel West——Chase Oliver——Jill Stein
Their respective parties are: Independent——Libertarian——Green Party
Voting beyond the Big Two (or three) is not wasting or throwing away your vote (contrary to standard opinion) Since it is a rough election, may I suggest voting your conscience rather than who you think will win—who knows how many others might to the same this election? That’s not a jab btw, I know quite a few who vote that way. This also isn’t a post saying these other candidates are better than the Big Two. This post is about letting people know their options and encouraging informed choice. I know more choices aren’t always helpful, but Do your own research and may the odds be ever in your favor. (sorry, the hunger games reference seemed applicable, but genuinely, Good Luck and maybe enjoy a few cathartic listen throughs of “We Didn’t Start the Fire” by either Billy Joel or Fall Out Boys)

I know the sequel definitively showed the zombie apocalypse was a worldwide affair, but I always liked to imagine Zombieland was a strictly USA incident and the rest of the world just left us to deal with it ourselves.
It's like how I always imagined the Hunger Games undisclosed apocalypse to be a USA only thing, with the rest of the world staying the hell away from us as we throw our children into a death arena

Calling it now MP3 is going to get a million variants in a vinyl including a target variant and Banquet records is going to make the personally signed ones UK only. And I am going to suffer.

never seen mash but is it like copaganda but instead of cops its soldiers? I watch like monk and stuff so like thats pretty copaganda-y so like no judgement just wondering
well in a sense no but absolutely yes👍. the characters are all american doctors in a mobile hospital unit in the korean war; in a show that aired during the vietnam war. there's plenty of tongue in cheek and even (relatively) subversive anti-war sentiment but mostly along the lines of "war is bad because american soldiers are dying." boo-hoo...

clicked on one of my state's current trending tags on twitter out of curiosity and found a vein of people who are hostile to the idea of taking in refugees from gaza out of nothing but sheer xenophobia. human cruelty astounds me

I've been thinking about this scene again for reasons. And aside from the fact that Angel (yes, this is Angel for those who don't know) is obviously furious with Amy for telling him Buffy's died here (she hasn't). I wonder if Amy saying Buffy drowned makes it even worse, because that's how Buffy died the first time. And Angel doesn't even fathom that, or believe that he would lose her that way another time.

and ANOTHER THING. its so obvious when someone who claims to be a radical has never had any experience with poverty. they either 1) show very little understanding for class dynamics 2) are constantly looking for the correct group of poor people to hate (in the u.s. they mainly hate rural southerns or poor republicans) 3) talk about poor people like theyre all stupid or infants 4) never mention or really consider class. while saying they belong to ideologies based on class struggle. they just genuinely dont think about it.
