is it just me or Timmy has changed after this Bob Dylan movie? He feels different to me idk how to explain. I’m not good with words so just bear with me lol.

Firstly, his appearance. He used to serve looks at award shows. He was always experimenting with his fashion style but now I don’t feel that effort anymore it’s like he doesn’t care about looking good. I noticed this during Dune 2 premiere as well. He was more subdued but I thought maybe bc he doesn’t wanna outshine the other new actors in the movie. I also hate his facial hair bc it just doesn’t suit him. Where is my beautiful androgynous boy who used to push boundaries with his fashion? Obviously, he can do whatever he wants but I feel like sth has changed.

Secondly, his live stream recently genuinely creeped me out. I’m really worried about his mental health. What did this movie do to him? I hope he is seeing a therapist or getting help in general.

Ngl I was not happy when this movie was announced and I still couldn’t care less but ofc I’m still gonna go see it in cinema to support Timmy. But I wish he never accepted it bc I feel like it changed him and not in a good way… Idk maybe I’m just reading too much into it and it’s just him maturing idk anymore..

How do deal with coming to terms with your parent(s) having truly terrible politics?

My parents are visiting me and I mentioned how I’ve been having a bad time ™ because of the political landscape…and my dad was like, “You don’t feel the same under Biden?”

And I, of course, was like “He didn’t have the richest man doing a Nazi salute during his inauguration.”

And my dad, a Jewish boy born and bred in Brooklyn was like “It wasn’t a salute. The ADL said it wasn’t. None of the Jewish orgs said it was.”

And he doesn’t care that Jewish friends I have are saying it’s a salute because the news isn’t saying so.

My only response was “Two Jews, three opinions”

But like - I am PANICKED. My parents still help support me financially a bit - and like, how am I supposed to flee the country if they don’t think there’s an issue?!

Also, I can’t argue with my dad because he doesn’t listen - like no, I’m not happy about Trump deporting immigrants. Like 99% of them aren’t a problem. And I’m not worried that they’re going to take my job.

I work a remote writing job - I’m worried about AI. And it’s not like they’re going to take his job. He’s got a high ranking vice presidential role in his company.

Nobody is stealing his job!

Like fuck, man, I thought you’d be more understanding of my panic but like where the hell are your survival instincts?

He still thinks Trump is good for Jews because his kids are married to Jews (which makes no sense because by that logic, Kamala would be better because she’s literally married to a Jewish man.)

And my mom is sympathetic to my worries but isn’t anywhere near “flee the country” level of panic.

I’m having all these mixed emotions regarding Lyle & Erik potentially getting paroled this year or next, however long it takes. Part of me is so excited for them and happy that they will finally be free from any kind of torment that has been brought on them, either by the system or their parents. But another part of me is worried for them as well. They haven’t been out and exposed to all the crazies that will pounce on them once they are free. I can see them getting taken advantage of by the press or obnoxious celebrities that just want a piece of their popularity at the time. Part of me is obviously happy but the other part of me is concerned that they might end up in worrisome situations because they don’t seem to be the best judge of people to this day. The people that are around them now seem iffy to me and to think of the thousands of people they will come in contact with once they’re out is kind of frightening to think about. I just don’t want to hear about them ending up in sad situations with shady individuals because that would be heartbreaking to me. I know they deserve justice and freedom I just am feeling very uneasy about the possible outcomes.

can you imagine them on a reality television show? Or being taken advantage of by a grifter? They seem so emotionally immature to this day and I’m just afraid of the future for them at times. I know people will say they have their family but like are they going to do everything they can to stop people taking advantage of them? I mean, they are grown men and can do what they please even if that’s not the best thing for them. Imagine being in prison longer than you ever were out and then suddenly you have all this freedom, it’ll be so overwhelming I’m sure. I can see bad choices possibly being made because of the excitement of it all. Idk I’m just over sensitive and think about this type of thing a lot more than I should. I just would hate to see them get hurt even more than they already have in their lives by people who honestly don’t care about them and just want to use them for their own benefit.
