in uncle sukuna-verse, does this obvious sexual tension and favor further isolate his niece or are her relatives suddenly nicer because sukuna obviously likes her. i actually think the latter would be worse to her. she’s used to apathy, but using her to get to her uncle? like these people that just take and take and take from her and will only ever see her as some sort of commodity.

you are correct ! i plan to expand on it eventually but they all start to basically fall all over themselves to gain her favor (with the exception of her grandparents which is relevant later) including her horrible cousins and her mother who abandoned her basically

reader has enough awareness about the circumstances of her upbringing to sort of predict this happening but to see the extent of it disgusts her very deeply. she already feels very disconnected to them but it really makes her aware of it as it happens

this, interestingly, has the consequence of forcing reader further into sukuna which sukuna is very pleased with 😭 he mostly does it to fuck with reader (though not even with mal intent just bc hes an asshole) but the fact theyre fucking is sort of an open secret makes her stick to him way more and hes sooooo into that LMAOOOO

i seriously need more narumi and mina moments because just imagine the relief mina felt when narumi joined, similar age to her and was also considered a prodigy in the force.

to have someone to share the burden of the defence force’s future with must’ve felt so freeing. because before he joined it was just her, age 18, being told that she was going to change kaiju extermination with her exceptional synergy with firearms. and she was so, so scared.

narumi doesn’t have the kind of skills or talent for long range combat like she does, but he’s also a top candidate (despite his behavioural issues- which aren’t much of a hinderance anyway) and mina doesn’t have to carry the burden of the future alone anymore

(although she’d never admit, given she probably views narumi as someone completely shocking i just think it’s so funny how she stood there like O_O when she first saw him)

like i LOVE seeing the contrast. mina who was sent onto the battlefield for the first time and was deathly afraid vs narumi who was sent out and immediately took action because that’s how he always lived (fighting)

and now they’re the top two strongest captains in the force and they will be the ones to lead the new generation..

the funniest version of events is them showing up completely separate—that feng xin and mu qing both independently thought of the exact same idea, and show up literally within a few minutes of each other. and obviously they see through each other immediately because the plan was nonsense to begin with. so they are are dying to call each other out. except they can’t because they would reveal themselves so they are just seething. half of them yelling is out of frustration because they can’t acknowledge the massive elephant in the room

i'd say you are pretty oblivious to it.

In your eyes, Joel and Tess are inseparable. They live together, work together, and fight together without issue. For the longest time you had actually thought they were married and it wasn't until you referred to Joel as her husband in front of Tess and she looked at you like you had just grown a second head that you realized they weren't.

Tess and Joel both have this..mutual silence about them. Hardened by the outbreak and who they've become, they don't let their attraction be known easily. You think that they just..tolerate you at the most. Which makes you feel incredibly guilty about your own feelings for them, believing yourself to be some sort of homewrecker for being attracted to them both despite not acting upon it out of fear of losing them.

You may catch them watching you in moments of silence or looming about when you're doing deals on your own but you just assume theyre watching over you out of concern for a mutual business partner, albeit begrudgingly.

I always had this idea for Tighnari and Cyno, where Cyno is gone on a mission for an abnormally long time. And Tighnari starts to get worried because normally Cyno would at least send letters, but no letters have been sent whatsoever. Tighnari just copes by saying that y'know he's the general Mahamatra he's a vet busy man. But a couple months past and it gets to the point where Tighnari is genuinely worried- and frustrated- what was Cyno thinking?? Collei obviously starts to get worried as well, because Cyno was never normally gone for this long. Well Cyno was fine in the end, just on a very long, very stressful mission that he didn't want to involve Tighnari or Collei in. When he would return, he'd act like nothing had happened, just waltzes into Tighnari's house like usual and go "Tighnari, I'm back. I'm sorry for being gone for so long, this particular mission was-" and he gets cut off by Tighnari throwing himself into Cyno and giving him the tightest hug ever. Cyno's a bit taken aback, because he wasn't expecting Tighnari to be so worried about him? He thought Tighnari had trust in Cyno that he could take care of himself, which Tighnari replies "Of course I do but that doesn't mean I don't still worry about you! You were gone for MONTHS without a word. How was I supposed to know you were okay?! What if you had gotten hurt?! WHAT IF YOU HAD DIED?!" it's then that Cyno realizes how much he had worried his friend- no, his family. After a large scolding from Tighnari, Collei also hears that Cyno is back and also throws herself at the man. She quickly backs off and apologizes but she has tears in her eyes from how relieved she is to know that Cyno is okay. Cyno was sure never to worry his family like that again

I don't think Tighnari is the type to get emotional often, but I think in that moment when he sees Cyno, still alive and okay. He just can't help but start to tear up with how relieved he is

Been working on my new ocs !

There's Richard (Rich) Markarian who is thus far an autistic divorced librarian (maybe a retired detective? Not 100%) with rlly dry humor. He's 6'3 and can be intimidating so he uses that to mess with people sometimes, but he means well. Hes around 45, got married barely out of highschool bc of comphet, internalized homophobia, and to seem Normal in the eyes of his peers, to his best friend. Eventually they divorced bc he (gay) couldnt love her the way she wanted, though he never really vocalized that to her bc he was worried it'd just upset her more. No kids, though he took her loss rlly hard bc they'd been friends (and then married) for so long. But, according to him, since he tried for so long to be straight and it just didn't work, he's 'allowed' to try queerness now, in his own time.

And Nathan Clark, a sarcastic business major (might change also) who's gotta stay closeted to keep his parents support, both emotional and financial. He's a little bit snotty and self concerned, but he feels bad when he catches himself being that way, and tries to work on it. Twinky, but not too noticably until he ratchets it up on purpose. He's probably around 23-25 and mostly has let social standards and the urge to fit in dictate much of his life, til he went away to college and got to try things away from the judgement of his family and highschool friends. He didn't realize he was gay until recently and now he's living it up as much as he can while the going is good

Haven't decided how they met yet, but I'm working on drawing them since I have such a clear picture of them both in my head!
