Idk if you take requests but. Imagine Ken explaining Featherman lore to ryoji. Ryoji is sitting criss cross applesauce and listening very intently. Koromaru is acting as a visual aid. Do you see my vision.
I have, like, actual commission ideas too this is just a shitpost
ryoji thinks the show is real and he gets worried when they get into fights

correct me if im wrong but people claim c!Tommy is obsessed with c!Dream, but if yo ulook back at the aftermath of l'manberg exploding, c!Tommy says "our stories over", while c!Dream says "our story will never be over you're just too fun" Which makes it look like that c!tommy is the one wanting to leave c!Dream alone while c!Dream is doing the opposite.
That and the mini truce they had in early dsmp days if that counts because directly after establishing they were allies, c!dream proceeded to hunt c!tommy for the discs. I dont doubt your perspective, but I've seen far too much instances of c!Tommy trying to end this feud with c!Dream while c!Dream continues to drag him back down into it and rarely have seen the opposite. Curious on your opinion on that. I do consider majority of his focus on c!Dream post-exile being out of paranoia that c!dream would harm him again so he wants to kill c!Dream to avoid that perceived torture but ig that would still count as an obsession.
Well, I mean not sure which war you were talking about originally but if it was the first war he says imediately that he’s going after Dream for the discs once they have recovered [clip], but I think you actually meant Doomsday based on your quotes [clip], in which case I’d like to note a couple things. Firstly, it’s important to highlight that this is right before the staged finale, which means he’s purposely trying to sound evil and malicious. So his, ‘this was fun’ is part of that. (Though I do think even Tommy and his affinity for griefing would probably enjoy blowing things up but that’s besides the point). Secondly, the way Tommy says ‘it’s over.’ And ‘it’ll be over soon’ is I’m pretty sure as a threat, not him saying he wants to stop the fighting, but it seems to me that he’s basically promising to kill Dream for the discs. To which Dream says ‘our story will never be over, it’s too much fun’ again ‘fun’ here is his villain persona feeding Tommy’s image of him being a bad guy, but I think if Tommy is threatening to kill Dream, which based off context and even the tone of voice I’d say it’s likely, then Dream’s response makes a lot of sense considering he has the revive book. So it’s two fold, half is just truth - it will not end because neither Dream nor Tommy will stay dead because of the revive book - and half is his persona setting the scene for staged finale. So in either, scene whether after the first war where he gave Dream the discs for L’manberg or in Doomsday, I don’t get the impression Tommy intended to actually end their feud. And after the first war, Tommy highlights “taking back his discs” when it is true, as Dream points out, Tommy did give them to him. In a way, everytime after that happens, as Dream points out in Daedalus, it’s kinda Tommy taking Dream’s discs, almost like giving a present then trying to steal it again.
I’m not sure which specific truce you are referring to specifically and don’t feel like or have the time to watch all the early stream to find it, but it is important to know, that Dream in the beginning is loyal to keeping everyone happy, he changes sides depending on who’s being wronged, which changes from fight to fight. So sometimes he on Tommy’s side, sometime he’s against Tommy, depending of the situation and who might be in the wrong. And while I’m not sure which truce you mean, I’m fairly certain Dream didn’t just go after Tommy without reason, it’s just not his style unless he’s trying to play a persona like around the Doomsday era in which case, technically that is still a reason, but it just may not be obvious because it could be that Tommy hurt someone other than Dream.
Just as references, here are some instances where Tommy has provoked Dream: Burning down George’s house after winning the war, Hitting him with a mine cart and stealing his stuff, Stabbing him while fixing a hole in his Tommy’s own yard [clip], teaming with Sapnap to kill him while he’s just waking down the path [clip], killing him again after the war has ended and Tommy’s stuff have been returned [clip], stealing his items after falling into a trap [clip] just to name some examples I can think of off the top of my head and have watched recently.
And if the logic is that after prison Tommy is targeting Dream out of paranoia and fear, does Dream not get the same respect? Was he not specifically targeted by Wilbur and Tommy in the very start of L’manberg? (Their constituention literally says “suuuuck it green boyyy!”) Were his friends not hurt because of association with him? Were his items not taken multiple times? Even after prison, is it reasonable to say he’s once again put his persona of scary villain to get him to leave him alone, after Tommy broke in and tried to kill him when he was already defenseless and locked up?… Yes at some point, maybe it did become more mutual, maybe Dream did start conflicts too, but at what point can we not say that it’s prevention instead of obsession. Clearly, he holds onto being murdered repeatedly at the start of the discs wars all the way till the finale, even after we know his memory was suffering [post].
And yes, post-prison I hope we can all agree that Tommy is definitely stalking and obsessing over Dream, while Dream could care less (the disc in his basement being the one thing he does in provoking Tommy, which again I file under intimidation to keep him away.)
Anyways… I’m just saying, it seems to me that whenever Tommy logs on we don’t hear Dream say, ‘oh look it’s the child again’ or whatever but when Dream does, it’s ’oh look it’s the green bastard’, so where is the line between obsession vs prevention and retaliation…

What's your opinion on the take that Sam is always running away?
ooh oh my goodness this is. complicated.
I think before even getting into the actual canon events, the real issue that I personally have with it is that, when people say it (including dean), it's usually predicated on the idea that sam did not grow up in an abusive environment / did not experience as much abuse as dean which has little-to-no canonical proof. this directly relates to both flagstaff (he's trying to escape an abusive environment where he doesn't feel taken care of) and stanford (he's literally just going to college !), where people think he had ""no reason"" to want to leave or that he ""abandoned"" dean
in terms of on-screen events I think "always" is untrue and honestly unfair. the only two times I can think of that can be actually defined as "running away" would be flagstaff, since that's the legal definition what happened, even if I don't blame him for it at all, and post-s7/pre-s8 when sam himself says that he just "ran" from real-life and the memories of dean. I don't think that constitutes saying that he factually "always runs away." to me, any other examples that people like to use don't really hold up - in 04x21, he's not running away, just killing lilith without dean (who could be considered an active threat to sam after the panic room) and in 05x03, they mutually decided it would be better for sam (a recovering addict) to step away (additionally, sam immediately calling dean when he finds out that he's lucifer's vessel seems to show the opposite of running away imo and a willingness to do what needs to be done)
I think it really comes down to the fact that leaving dean or leaving a dangerous situation does not equal running away, even if dean thinks that. and the popularization of this take seems to stem from the narrative bias in dean's favor and how the audience is mostly restricted to dean's narratively justified despair/anger while sam's emotions aren't explained (see: 05x16 when dean gets a whole long moment about flagstaff and why he's upset about it, but sam doesn't get to explain why he left in the first place.)
anyways. overall, I understand where it comes from, since dean does use that language in relation to sam, but I dislike it and I think it's a very limited take that vilifies sam for simply having autonomy / the desire to make his own choices, even if they don't involve his family and/or dean

Fake Voyager Episode: Tuvok gets kidnapped and forced to compete in an arena where telepaths fight one another to the death for a shot at fortune and prestige. He was initially kidnapped as 'fodder' - the aliens who run the arena will grab any telepathic alien they can find regardless of skill and they're essentially just there to be killed by flashier veterans of the bloodsport. The episode is mainly Tuvok showing off his tactical know-how and combat skills. We also get several flashbacks to him as a young man, learning how to fight both on Vulcan and in Starfleet. There's a concern that he will lose himself when forced into this seemingly endless battle, surrounded by violence, but in the end he prevails and manages to escape without killing a single person. He leaves the arena after giving a message of peace. Patreon | Ko-fi
Unnamed Goon: [Laughter] That puny 'Vuulcan' didn't land a single hit for all his bluster. Once I sealed his telepathic powers it was over! Huh huh huh… If I keep up this pace I should have him crushed beneath my fists in- What...? I can't move...? Tuvok: By now you have surely noticed it.
You are certainly a formidable opponent. Most would assume you to be a simple bruiser but that is not the case. You are a knowledgeable telepath - able to not only bolster your own physique but nullify the telepathic capabilities of your enemies.
However. You rely too much on one tactic and are too proud to allow yourself to look 'weak.' This was the ultimate cause of your ruination. While you gleefully battered my body about the field I was able to locate twenty two out of twenty four 'kobat sfek' on your body - points which will render you immobile for approximately…four minutes. More than enough time. It was a shrewd precaution to nullify my telepathic ability. However. I do not need them to best you in combat.
Even now, I am ten times stronger than you. Unnamed Goon: T-Ten...TEN TIMES!? [Imagining the sort of gruesome end that might await him, the unnamed Goon faints - leaving Tuvok the victor.]

burning through you - part 2
turns out i am actually incapable of leaving this pairing alone...so! here's part 2
Day Two
For the first half of the day, Jane was feeling almost comfortable. She knew where she’d shaken out amongst the other girls - on top, as per usual. She tended to settle nicely once her superiority was well understood. It was because of this that she let her guard down, if only just enough to establish something like camaraderie with the other girls. All her judgement aside, she found that she actually liked most of them. She ended up next to Megami for most of the afternoon, some mindless chatter making the heightened environment feel almost safe.
Her defenses were down. That was, until, Nymphia settled in just a seat away. Then started the small talk.
It was innocent. Nice, even. Jane knew this. She was a bitch, yes, but she wasn’t delusional. Nymphia was just being friendly. So why did every word out of her mouth set Jane’s teeth on edge?
Nymphia would ask about Boston. Jane would ask about Taiwan. The whole time her eyes would flicker over Nymphia, scanning her, for what she did not know. If it made Nymphia nervous, it didn’t show.
Jane tried to remain neutral, she really did, but she felt herself sharpening with every word. It was wholly involuntary, and completely unnecessary. Jane knew that, she just couldn’t help herself. It was like there was a tangle somewhere deep inside her, and Nymphia was pulling it into a painful knot.
Megami asked if the girls were excited for the talent show. Jane deflected, thankful for a change in subject. They spoke at length about their acts - Megami mentioned something about her performance, Jane didn’t mention she thought it was a terrible, albeit touching, idea.
And then the conversation turned back to Jane, who found herself rambling about her performance: how excited she was, how great it would be… She was bragging, and she knew it. She loved to talk herself up, partly because she knew she deserved it, and partly because it meant she had to live up to her words. She was definitely rambling, and it was definitely not because it made her nervous to know that Nymphia was listening.
It was a simple follow-up question from Nymphia. “What are you doing for the talent show?” She powdered her face, her eyes locking with Jane’s in the mirror.
Jane was suddenly defensive.
“You’ll just have to see, baby” she deflected, averting her eyes back to her reflection, “you’ll just have to see”. She said something else after that, she didn’t remember what.
Nymphia smiled like she was about to say something. Someone screamed on the other side of the room, a welcome distraction. Megami touched Jane’s arm whilst the room’s attention was diverted elsewhere,
“You okay, Jane?” Megami asked. Jane was humiliated.
“It’s Plane,” she snipped back.
~~~
Jane had been hoping that Nymphia would somehow by the grace of God completely fuck up. Of course, she did not.
She was mesmerizing. There was no way around it. Jane was a cynic, yes, but not blind. She knew talent when she saw it, and, no matter how much she hated it, Nymphia was the real thing. Jane studied Nymphia’s performance closely.
Nymphia’s command was the exact opposite of Jane’s. When she swept across the stage, she was the embodiment of grace. There was a reverence to her performance that clutched everyone’s heart, even Jane's. She thought, just for a moment, that she could understand it. Her humor, even when filthy, was charming. She was light and fizzy, a breath of fresh air with a perfect face. She approached things with an open heartedness that allowed any flaws to feel lovable, elevated them.
Jane preferred to bulldoze. She commanded attention, and dominated the stage aggressively. Love her or hate her, an audience had no choice but to be impressed by her commitment. She was crass, dirty, and unabashedly raw. It was a testament to her fearlessness, or the illusion of such. No matter what she was doing, you couldn't seem to look away. Plus, she was hot, and that didn't hurt either. Her undeniable beauty seemed to catch people by surprise. Jane thought it must balance her out, soften her somehow. People could project onto her beauty, make what they wanted out of it. They could believe in that if they didn’t believe in her personality.
This is all to say that Jane, whether she acknowledged it or not, was on the defense. She hit the stage with something to prove. She felt everyone’s eyes on her, as they should be, and she wouldn’t dare waste them.
She decimated. She knew it as soon as she heard the applause. There had been no other option, not for Jane. She needed this to happen. The validation was everything she had ever wanted. To win made it all worth it: the sleepless nights, the twisted ankles and bruises, the criticisms and arguments, the hot tears to herself. When she tasted that win, she thought it was even worth minor sabotage.
That moment was almost enough to make up for the look on Nymphia’s face when she left for the night. Almost, but not quite.
I hope you don't mind me asking two thing back to back, but for the reverse unpopular opinion ask game.
What piece of PMD lore/story just doesn't sit right / doesn't make sense with you?
Not at all! Love getting asks, thank you! :3
The one piece of lore that’s always bothered me a bit is how they handle humans in the series. Imo it’s just a little confusing and odd. Now for the positive! By leaving it vague, it really hands over the lore to the fans—how do humans live in this world? Are they common, or are you one of/the only one left? Do they tend to live side by side with pokemon, or are they more separate than in the main series? Where did Hero come from? What happened to their family? Etc etc. Plus, in Explorers, the idea of there being humans around, but you not seeing ANY in the Dark Future really adds to the oppressive and heavy nature. It helps show it’s such a harsh world that only the most feral of pokemon can truly thrive.
Hello, can u pls share five of ur favorite headcanons/story elements that reoccur in dimya fics, across aus, Canonverse, etc.? 🧐
It can be to write ig,,, but more to read, u know?
ugh okay so there are so many on my little checklist but here are some in no particular order:
dmitry has a spicy little sexual history
this isn't exactly a story element, but there are certain lines that always kill me when they're included. "well?" "not bad"/ "what if i take it now and you'll never see me again?" "I don't think you will!" are among the most '!!!!!!!' to me lol. ugh. makes me kick my feet and cheer a little
i love seeing how the my petersburg/a secret she kept moment gets adapted into every fic, it's such a cornerstone to their entire relationship
meant to be/ blue dress moment™
touch being a really poignant vulnerability for them? i think when touch is used to represent their trust issues transforming into a sort of vessel of comfort it's....... so good. i never get tired of it
