Rereading tsc in preparation for tgr and I got to where Abby said "My Foxes chose to fight back" and I'm actually so mad about it? Cause first off, yeah Jean fought back for five months, as he said. Simon started wearing makeup to hide a scar he got as a kid. He'd always done it, but the friends he was around had never known. When he discovered that he enjoyed other aspects, like drag, those friends didn't take it well. They would've killed him for it.... if Celine hadn't interfered.

Simon woke in a strangers room, bandaged and bruised but alive. And he becomes indebted to Celine, who protects him. In return, he protects her in what little ways he can.
