I think Aziraphale knew he fucked up before he ever got on that elevator.

HEAR ME OUT!

I think the moment that he heard that his big project would be the Second Coming, he instantly realized Crowley was right. As soon as the Metatron mentions the Second Coming, Aziraphale looks directly to Crowley with what I think is very-well-concealed panic. I don’t think that was a wistful gaze at what-might’ve-been. I think that was an instinctive entreaty for help from the person he trusts most in the world, followed by the immediate realization that he can’t ask for Crowley for help without letting the Metatron know something’s wrong.

Because Aziraphale KNOWS that the Second Coming is just a different flavor of Armageddon, it’s literally the rapture. There’s no planet where our boy has changed so much that he’d be willing to bring about the end of humanity, and the fact that he didn’t object to the idea instantly is important. To me, it means that Aziraphale must’ve made a split-second decision to play along. He didn’t have time to tell Crowley what was wrong, and even if he could’ve, he didn’t have enough information to put a stop to it.

Basically, I think that in the moments after the Metatron mentioned the Second Coming Aziraphale realized several things in quick succession

Crowley was right.

He and Crowley were going to have to save the world again.

If they were going to stop another apocalypse, they needed to know what they were up against.

The only way to know was to have a man on the inside.

There wasn’t time to tell Crowley any of it.

Now the question is, how does Aziraphale let Crowley know what’s going on?? Because he can’t stop Armageddon 2 (Electric Bugaloo) by himself.

Could the Metatron have known about Gabriel and Beelzebub before everyone else did?

We don't get to see his reaction to Gabriel and Beelzebub revealing their relationship. So we don't know if he would have been shocked by the reveal.

Instead, the Metatron comes down from Heaven, doesn't ask any questions about where Gabriel is or why no one is looking for him and instead has already decided to make Aziraphale the supreme archangel.

Yes, the Metatron is the voice of God, but he's not God, so it's not like as soon as Gabriel and Beelzebub fuck off the Metatron just knows what happened. (The summoning circle isn't on anymore right? Acting like a hot mic up to heaven? If it was maybe this could explain it.)

So how does the Metatron know?

Maybe the Metatron found out that Gabriel was suddenly disinterested in Armageddon 2: electric boogaloo and wondered what caused the sudden change. We've already seen that the metatron has access to files on the goings on of Aziraphale and can go back through history to find evidence of his meetings with Crowley, even in places that they thought would be safe to meet in public like the Globe Theatre. The Metatron could have looked through whatever surveillance was on Gabriel, seen his meetings with Beelzebub, seen the writing on the wall. Maybe he figured erasing Gabriel's memories would be enough. And then when it wasn't and Gabriel escaped and no one could find him, maybe he started coming up with his plan.

Building a Nihilakh Dynasty necron army for Epic Armageddon at the moment. This is not my first rodeo with 6mm and I do love extremely tiny things, so my judgement is biased - but so far, it seems that the Epic scale comes with many pros, and just a few cons which are amenable. Highly recommend 👍

I feel like if one wants — and is trying to give themself — a mental disorder by using the label of “transid,” then they are probably already disordered in some other way that they are in denial of; because it‘s more stigmatized, or “less interesting” than the neurotype they’ve chosen to mimic… which is sad because they’re masking in two different directions at that point: one to hide their illness, the other to create an illness… which will lead to more illness. Bleak, to be honest.

thinking about it, it's gonna be really hard to build up a community for OCs, especially for aspiring projects/shows (at least in my experience)

I really wanna make OTA a full independent animated series but I gotta build that community first. The thing is that I partially rely on my fandom works to drive me up a community to find people who actually would look at my personal projects. It's really hard, but I'm sure I'll make it there.
